Overall I liked getting to explore this aspect of the dynamic between Rick/BP/Squanchy/Gearhead (+ the others of course but they're the OGs yk?) and also the concept of intervention/alcoholism. I think it's interesting to see that Rick does want to help but his support system is so fucked that this ends up happening and it makes a lot of sense when it comes to his own issues. I really like the way they handle Rick trying to get better and do the right thing but struggling so much to break out of unhealthy behaviours/habits. He's painfully aware of how fucked up he is and how much of a bad influence he is but he doesn't know how to fix the issue/be a positive influence and he definitely views abandonment as a good thing because he's removing himself from the situation. Very interesting way to explore this aspect of his issues, especially since all his friends are also alcoholics with that level of denial/refusal to get better

I had this discussion with @hazelnut-u-out before the episode aired but I do like that they're showing Mr PB directly suffering as a result of Rick's actions in canon? Considering that he started as a joke/meta character it's very interesting to show him actually shifting to more of a serious character who appears in the actual show and experiences real issues, especially since the show becomes less and less sitcom-y as Rick becomes more aware of the reality of how fucked up all of these things are.

Look, I have no complaint with the DLC guests for Mortal Kombat 1. Homelander and Omni-man are great imo, they fit in (Literally, the amount of gore these guys give is phenomenal). Quan-Chi? They're like the reason I even got into Mortal Kombat again, (no offense, Erron Black) I was super obsessive with Ermac, reading their bio all the way to the old gens back to front. Hell, my friend can tell you how many hours I've spend talking about Ermac, and just them alone! They're a big deal to me. So to see them, getting fuck by NRS is so fuck up.

You would think they would give them his MK11 design like why not? They were never present in the canon storyline at all, and the design only appear in the Krypt, dare I say in a NONCANON place? Why waste such a decent design, I think the logical reason to do is give it to them in their mk1 phase, just putting little new details here and there.

The Alpha Trolls are not unprecedented in their function. What we learn about in canon is the story of that particular iteration of the Alpha Trolls, just like how the Beta Kids/Trolls we learn about are simply that particular iteration of the Beta Kids/Trolls.

You know how Homestuck textually has a limitless canon with infinite possibilities due to the existence of multiple concurrent timelines with equal validity? It's the exact same case with the Dream Bubbles. The only tangible difference is that Dream Bubbles are a death state, while the concurrent timelines aren't. There's multiple concurrent Dream Bubbles, just as there are multiple concurrent timelines. All of equal value, just with different stories. The iteration of the Alpha Trolls that we learn about are as valid as the iteration(s) of the Beta Kids/Trolls that we learn about. They're as valid as Davesprite's existence as a Dave is. Sometimes the Dream Bubbles intersect, and sometimes existences overlap, but the same can be said about the timelines. The Beta Kids/Trolls we start with are not any more or less valid than the Retcon Beta Kids/Trolls.

So, I guess to answer your question more directly... It's technically not any more or less valuable. It's the same level of value, it's just that those Alpha Trolls are the ones we meet and learn about, and therefore, that's the instance of them that we are meant to really care about and focus on. Those are "our" Alpha Trolls, so to speak. This is how it works with the SBURB/SGRUB sessions we learn about. Infinite timelines, infinite possibilities, infinite stories. Infinite Dream Bubbles, infinite possibilities, infinite stories. It's just that the ones we get to look at are our limited scope into a random instance of existence, and we're meant to care about those the most, because those are the ones we can see.

Okay everyone is focusing on "Oh it looks like Lilly" but are we gonna talk about the puzzle dice thing the magician dude is holding. That looks like something plot relevant.

Okay so this kinda looks like the realm of madness what with the grundle (they're called smthn I CAN'T REMEMBER IT craglings??? ) looking guys, the purple mist, the atmosphere... which If so is awesome because that place kind of just vanished after season 1. That, or it could be the spirit cove, what with.. yknow.. the dragons... or it's some random other realm that will never be seen again. That too.

Also, I will say, seems like a pretty odd choice to have two random ice dragons in Cloud Kingdom.

Honestly I'm going to point out that these ice dragons and the big dragon at the end of the trailer have the exact same color scheme - especially on the wings - as Zane and Cole's dragon forms, respectfully. (But I will also point out that both ice dragons have this color scheme so I'm like 99% sure that's just a coincidence and they just wanted to give them cool gold accents.)

I WILL say, this is probably the most excited I've been for a Ninjago season ever since Master of the Mountain 👀 and to those worrying about Cole, Jay and Zane - Cole and Jay are in the first trailer, don't worry about it. It'll make more sense when the season comes out, I'm willing to bet that the new characters are going to take the lead and the Ninja are gonna have side plots.

Also personally I don't think that's Lilly - or at the very least, not the Lilly we know - primarily because I don't really see why they'd bring her back over literally anybody else, since out of all our dead characters she never really was intended to have any sort of story or arc, she had her story a long time ago when she was a ninja. She already did her thing. Her role is entirely in the marks she left on the world. If they were gonna do something with a Ninja's parent I don't think she'd be the go to pick. But that's just me.

It'd be interesting if she WAS, because that'd mean another Cole arc which YES PLEASE, but I don't think it's likely.

I'm not gonna touch up on the krux guy because it'd make a lot of sense but like why hide his face with nothing more than a tiny visor if you're gonna make some sort of reveal. I mean if it is Krux then this is the guy who disguised himself as Dr. Saunders but now he can't even fathom changing his hair style. I feel like if it is krux then the whole thing is a red herring to get the community talking when really we'll just be told "Oh yeah that's krux" when the episodes come out, or it'll turn out to be a completely different guy.

I just watched the first episode of Netflix's ATLA adaptation and it's fine actually? Perfectly adequate adaptation.

"Aang's 'i know who I am' monologue is shitty exposition" - bro he's just a scared little boy venting to his pet cow; that wasn't a conversation he was having with another human being

"why are we being shown these fight scenes of unnamed characters we don't care about" - because it's telling the story in a different way to the original show?

"these firebenders don't seem that powered-up by the comet what's even going on here" - bro they can now rocket-jump from ground level straight up to the air nomad's plateau at cloud-height, and the fire attacks of regular mooks are punching right through the defences of air masters. That's the power of Sozin's comet: rocket-jumps!

"Gran-Gran reciting the original show's intro is just dumb fanservice and dumb excessive exposition" - she's doing the old person thing of reciting old people's stories to a young person who doesn't care, to make her point that this young person in particular has never heard those old people's stories before, because he's the subject of that story who got time-travelled from then-a-days to nowadays. (And also, yes, it's gratuitous fanservice (but this who entire show literally only exists for the sake of gratuitous fanservice so why are you complaining about that?? Heck, it took until this new show for me to comprehend that the Fire Nation's genocide of the Air Nomads was a purposeful act with the specific intent of killing The Avatar: we don't know which air-bender is The Avatar so we just have to kill every air-bender to make sure we get 'em!

I've watched the original show all the way through at least four times and I had never picked up on that point. I had always thought that the Fire Nation attacked everyone equally all at once in every direction and only genocided the air benders by happenstance because their pacifism made them uniquely unsuited to self-defence.

NATLA opening with conniving villainy is good because it's given an amount of sense as to why all this shit is happening. Gives more to the audience to work with than "the fire nation attacked everyone for no reason just because they're the Bad Guys", which is all the original show really had to offer for quite a while, exposition-wise.

Imma have to go back to the original and rewatch it again, but all that flashback exposition stuff with Sozin's out-of-control ambition and leaving Roku to die, that stuff didn't come up until like the third season right? When Aang and Zuko went off to befriend the last two dragons?

Anyway, the new show is fine. It would have been nice if it had been given the same treatment Peter Jackson gave to LOTR, but as it stands, the sky isn't falling and it's not worth getting mad about.

Naoto has joined the school, which means he's the next party member. It is very sweet that Naoto, frankly, said Some Shit to everyone last they met but they're trying to include him anyway because he's new and being new is rough.

ALSO WORTH NOTING: I've mentioned before that I've played some of P4 waaaaaay back in 2009. I can say pretty definitively we're past the point I played up to. I don't think I ever beat VOID QUEST and that's where I fell off the game. I am fully in unknown territory at this point.

I think about all of Ryan's characters (the ones on my F/O list anyway) being in a big, open room in the Mojo Dojo Casa House, except Ken calls this place the "Mojo Dojo Casa Keri Ken Dreamhouse" and yes he WILL repeat that phrase every time someone asks in a baffled tone "the what?" and most of the time, it's the characters chilling out, waiting for me to come back from whatever other dimension. Or just chilling because their dimensions (aka movies) are STRESSFUL to be in... I can imagine Luke is constantly visiting BarbieLand like "hey i'm gonna wait for Keri to come home so let me just chill here and crack open a beer with you" and Ken is like RIGHT ON, MY DUDE, I HAVE FIFTEEN MINI-FRIDGES FULL OF BREWSKIS WITH YOUR NAME ON 'EM BRO. I think most Ryan characters would consider Ken fairly strange and unusual, even aside from the whole "this is a human-sized talking doll made out of plastic and he never seems to be wearing a shirt", he's just so talkative and energetic all the time. but they grow to like him very very much because he's such a fun sweetie-pie, and honestly most of these characters have been through soooo much... interacting with Ken would probably be like a breath of fresh air for most of them, once they get to know him and adjust to his energy levels haha

I think, since Ken is the "leader", he makes it his ultimate MISSION to make sure all the "other Kens" get along with each other, and any time there's a "new guy" (like I'm gonna watch another movie and get a new Ryan F/O) he's like "you wanna date MY sweet girl?? you gotta promise you're gonna love Keri and keep her safe no matter WHAT!!! we are an ARMY of KENS and we FIGHT for our sweet girl!!" and he acts all tough and imposing but really he is just an excited golden retriever and he's so happy to be making new friends. I AM GONNA RAMBLE HOLD ON--

Who would instantly click? OOH, okay, Ken and Colt, for sure. They've got the same exact energy. "Your Kenergy is nuclear, bro" and Colt has no idea what that means but he is not questioning it, he's like, aw hell yeah thanks dude. These two are constantly high-fiving and fist-bumping or whatever else. Not to mention his name is literally Colt, you KNOW Ken would go crazy go stupid about his name meaning "a young horse under the age of four years old". He'd say something about that. Excitedly. While showing off all of his horse stuff in the Mojo Dojo Casa Keri Ken Dreamhouse. Colt's slightly confused and a little surprised by all of the horse stuff but he's just happy to be here, man.

I think Driver and Six would get along too -- not at first, though, they'd definitely be weary of each other for sure, at least in my opinion. I think they're both trained to be instantly weary of others, esp when they're protective for someone they care for, so for the first few meetings at the Dreamhouse they are just staring at each other and kind of being on edge bc they both Like Keri Very Much and they're internally like "I sense this guy is dangerous, is he potentially a threat?" Six is able to keep that part of himself, that violence, a bit more hidden since he's trained to; he makes a joke out of everything, he's leaning back on the couch in a faux relaxed position, yet still ready to defend if necessary, meanwhile Driver is deadly silent and that sleeping predator inside of him keeps one eye open, his body tense. Six is more of a relaxed kind of protective, this is his job and it's all he's known for two decades now ("just another Thursday") while Driver is a more violent, unhinged kind of protective, like he only attacks when he's a scared, cornered animal, but his heart is still in the right place. But I think once they get past that initial distrust/discomfort they'd have a mutual respect for each other. Adding my own self ships with them into the mix, I think they'd bond over protecting me and self assigning themselves as my own personal bodyguards hehe. Six insists Driver's gotta get himself a weapon if he's gonna be involving himself with criminals all the time and Driver's like "I don't carry a weapon. I drive." y'know all broody haha

Hmm who else who else. Lars!!! Lars would love Ken. Love his dollness. He'd find Ken comforting to be around, I think, and he'd enjoy all of the pink. Lars would be one of the only people who doesn't immediately find Ken strange. A talking doll, sure that sounds nice. A talking doll who Keri loves and trusts and finds comfort in, yeah that sounds lovely, he finds him lovely. Ken's plastic, Ken's not a warm flesh and blood person (or maybe in BarbieLand he feels like one, since it's all in your imagination? like how at the beach you can hear the waves and feel the water even though it isn't real? how you can taste the food in BarbieLand even if it's plastic? eh who knows)... regardless, I think he wouldn't find Ken as overstimulating as "real" people are, wouldn't flinch at his touch quite as much, though Ken would have to remind himself quite often that he needs to not be as touchy with Lars. Maybe the sights of BarbieLand would be a little too bright and flashy sometimes, maybe the crowds of people would feel overwhelming, so he'd just stay in the Dreamhouse and sit on the couch and read a book with Ken sitting beside him and offering plastic snacks.

Here's some other stuff I like to think about

Jacob and Six would joke around with each other a little bit, Holland too! Holland and Jacob can share a drink at the bar together! I haven't watched The Nice Guys yet but he seems very easygoing and funny from the gifsets I have seen :D

Jacob would try to get Ken to wear literally anything else. "This outfit is way too neon, bro, you wanna impress your girl looking like that when you go on your rollerblading dates? And what the hell is THIS outfit, what kind of -- you trying to be like Sylvester Stallone? It isn't happening. You've got great abs, I'll tell you that much, but you can't keep your shirts open all the time. Only keep 3 buttons opened, it's enough to tease, makes people wonder how many drinks it'll take to get under that shirt." Ken's like "wuhhh..." I think I talked about this with you in a previous ask where Jacob would try to get Driver to wear different clothes because that dude wears the same thing every single day. I think Luke and Julian would have a hard time getting along with others bc they seem to be the most violent. Maybe Driver would be Julian's favorite because Driver doesn't ask questions and Julian returns the courtesy. They're both violent and silent and uhh I have NOT watched Only God Forgives yet but I hear that is a gorefest also directed by Nicolas Winding Refn and Julian's only got 17 lines. Maybe they'd bond over that, even if wordlessly so? who knows haha. Luke is a more... impulsive kind of violent guy, maybe he'd have some kind of respect for Julian or something. or not. Luke, Holland, and Dean can all take smoke breaks together. I feel like another character smokes a lot but I can't remember him at the top of my head...

Ken would think Luke's tattoos are So Cool. Six, too. I find the mental image quite funny: Driver, Six, Dean, and Luke all comparing their tattoos and finding out "hey, I have a barcode tattoo exactly like that on my left wrist!"

I think any character who is normally reserved/stoic would open up a little bit over time because they're around all of these other characters so often, especially Ken, who just radiates good vibes all the time and it rubs off on the others. Like for example I think Ken would ask Sebastian to play a song on his keyboard and Ken would dance to it, purposefully getting the rhythm wrong, trying to make Sebastian laugh -- it doesn't work... until Driver, who has been standing next to Ken and being silent and unmoving, suddenly breaks into this big dance number with him, and Sebastian loses his shit because he's not used to seeing Driver act like that. and Driver quickly stops dancing and acts as if it didn't happen. and when Seb asks him to do that move again he shrugs and says he has no idea what Seb's talking about. Seb tells the others what happened and nobody believes him.

Or another example I think about ALL the time is that maybe a group of characters are sitting around talking, someone says something funny, and Driver just... starts laughing. Like really, really laughing. And everyone freezes and stares at him because they're not used to that. And then they all try to make him laugh more bc it's such a nice sight.

INCREDIBLY self indulgent but this is my self shipping blog so I might as well be self indulgent LOL: Jacob taking pictures with his polaroid camera (I often give my main F/Os gifts bc I love associating them with my own things irl, and for Jacob instead of giving him an accessory/trinket like I give to most F/Os, I give him a camera -- what else can you gift to the man who owns everything?) and he's showing off photos to the others. Luke swears so often I think it would make some characters uncomfortable, namely Lars and Ken. Lars would tend to distance himself from everyone naturally however so I don't think he'd interact with Luke too often anyways? Luke and Dean might get along a bit, they have the same chill vibe and they've stolen money before

Colt would be lowkey jealous that Ken doesn't have to work out to have great abs. He just has plastic abs forever. Colt and Six probably have the biggest tits muscles out of everybody and they're like "whoa bro... sick pecs... what's your workout routine??"

Colt would mention he's a stunt guy for movies and Ken would be like "oh so is Driver!!!" and Colt's like "oh that's so cool man" and maybe they'd bond over that a little bit too!

Dean and Driver would probably get along fine, but for my own self shipping scenarios they uh. have a little bit of beef with each other because one time Driver saw Dean put his jacket around my shoulders and Driver was like "...why is MY GIRL wearing ANOTHER MAN'S JACKET??? 😤😤😤" then he angrily messes with his Rubik's cube for half an hour, just sitting there fuming while Ken is like "haha wow Driver you look REALLY mad :) do you wanna talk about that"

Colt would get along with others easily I think BUT again just for my own self shipping universe + the fact that they all bond over being my F/Os when I think about this stuff, I think. everyone. would be so... idk. not wary of Colt but they wouldn't immediately welcome him either. Ken would definitely get along with him later but just for my own daydreams, at first Ken's like "my god I cannot compete with this guy. his muscles are insane. he's a stunt guy. he's funny. he's insanely skilled. I bet HE can shred waves without any problems. oh, no... he looks like Ryan Gosling" to which somebody else says "dude. we ALL look like Ryan Gosling" and Ken's like "OKAY BUT??? HE LOOKS LIKE A MUCH HOTTER VERSION OF MYSELF AND I CANNOT COMPETE WITH THAT???"

I am wracking my brain trying to think of how Officer K would be with everyone. He's quiet and reserved too. I think he'd be the most level-headed. Often putting his hand on Ken's shoulder when Ken is panicking over something minimal and saying "have patience, Keri will return home soon" or something. or maybe I have a nightmare and Driver's worried and not quite himself bc he's worried I had nightmares about him. so K's also saying in a quiet, level tone "all is well, she loves you, it's going to be all right" stuff like that. I think Lars would like sitting next to K because K isn't intimidating, he's got a very reserved sort of gentleness about him. Maybe Lars can sense that ache within him too, that isolated loneliness.

Everybody eating breakfast together, for the sake of the scenario let's pretend the food is real and not plastic -- Six absolutely housing everything in front of him because it's rare that he's able to eat without somebody threatening to stab him in the back. Six being relaxed in this place just in general, surrounded by friends and, y'know, not being hunted for sport. Officer K loving to eat literally anything given to him because he's spent his whole life eating bland noodles or whatever was made from those protein worm things. He eats a cheese sandwich and thinks it's the best meal of his entire life and he wants 15 more please. Also Colt reminding everyone "you need!!!! CARBS!!!!!" 🥪

I think it would take a while for Officer K to feel like he's "allowed" to enjoy any of this. The others would gently yet constantly coax him to do things he wouldn't feel like he's "allowed" to do. Eat good food and eat as much as he wants, watch a TV show/movie, actually sit back and relax on the couch while talking to others and not be so tense. Make eye contact without fear.

I would honestly love to hear YOUR thoughts on their interactions!!!! I haven't seen all of Ryan's movies yet, just a handful, so I don't have a whole lot of variety of his characters personalities and how they'd mesh/clash in my head quite yet. I'd love to hear what you can come up with :3c

I've been seeing some Things lately and of course I have to give my opinion as a certified Helia Stan so here's a list of a bunch of different hcs/metas about Helia that are just... no... I don't know if anyone outside of my circle is gonna see this but just in case, I do want to clarify that I'm not trying to bash anyone. I just think a lot of you are Wrong.

Helia is pretentious/egotistic.

Why would you say this to me. On the day of my daughter's wedding. But yeah, no. Gonna bust out the dictionary for this one boys

Pretentious:

b : expressive of affected, unwarranted, or exaggerated importance, worth, or stature

Egotistic: given to talking about oneself; vain; boastful; opinionated. indifferent to the well-being of others; selfish.

Truly, and I mean truly ask yourself, does this actually sound like Helia? If it does, baby girl we are not watching the same show.

I think this misunderstanding almost always comes from Riven stans ngl (I love y'all but not every character is out to get him i'm sorry). The other characters, specifically the specialists, had a lot of judgment about Helia at first. They didn't know him and they assumed certain things based off of rumors and his social standing. But then... they got to know him and realized they were wrong. Riven himself admits that he was being a dick and, after they fix things over, starts to like Helia as a friend and respect him as a specialist.

Helia being an artist doesn't mean he's automatically a Pretentious Freak. He's literally just into art. Bloom is also an artist but people don't make the same claims about her (well no actually they do but bloom antis are not people in my book ajldhgjladg). Throughout the series, Helia is continuatlly supportive and understanding of other characters. He tries to help them when they ask, offers comfort and support when they need it, and generally proves that he's a relatively good friend (yknow. when he's not ditching them and cutting communication). There is literally nothing in canon that states or implies that he sees himself as better than other people, that he mocks people for not knowing something, that he thinks his life is better, etc. Literally nothing! I truly do not understand where this comes from it's so weird to me. (if you use s8 as proof just know that i am sending so many bad vibes to you)

2. In a similar vein, the idea that Helia hates the specialists or makes fun of them/disapproves of their actions/thinks they're lesser than him.

Bro... we are not watching the same show i know we aren't. Again, Helia is constantly cheering the boys on. Next to Brandon, he's one of the more supportive specialists. Every now and then he'll call one of them out, but that's usually when they're doing something they know is bad (riven talking when they were supposed to be quiet) or something that directly affects him (riven directly insulting his poems (oh no i keep mentioning riven sorry babes xx)). When it comes to them just existing normally, he's not making fun of them or thinking he's So Much Better. In fact, it's heavily implied in the comics that he often compares himself to them and other specialists (in a bad, self deprecating way) and thinks they're better than him. Just... no,,, they are his little meow meows <3

3. Helia joined Red Fountain just to be with Flora.

Baby that's creepy as hell imagine meeting a guy once and he immediately switches schools to be near you. Y'all can't get on Nabu's ass for stalking Aisha and then make Helia do the same thing Bro Please ajldghljadhgl But seriously, while we don't know the exact reason Helia went back to RF, it's pretty obvious what the answer likely is? Helia continues to go back and forth between being a specialist and being an artist. Helia likes being a specialist; he enjoys missions and helping other people, and getting to learn new skills. But he also likes being an artist and everything that comes with that. Helia specifically has a really bad need to "prove himself" in both of these things so him rejoining RF (and leaving again) really isn't surprising. He was likely thinking about it for months prior to meeting Flora. She was really just a bonus, but definitely not a factor in his decision.

4. Helia is actually super violent and enjoys killing people.

I'll be honest, I do think it's funny that the fandom went from "helia is a sissy little pacifist who would NEVER hurt anyone he probably hates the specialists and red fountain" to "yeah he partakes in daily murder". ajklghdjlahdg anyway, my little helia stans already saw but I did write something about this so... here.....

1. To add to your collection of RS's old tumblr ask screenshots (LO canvas league era), i distinctly remember there was an ask where someone asked why is mortal realm so behind olympus technology-wise and RS responded something along the lines of technology timelines not being aligned "because the gods don't wanna share the goodies" (the quotations are her exact words, to be precise) and it was kind of an early red flag for me? I mean, the greek myths are all about gods helping humans and giving them the means to survive or about explaining natural phenomena that benefits humans whether it's prometheus with introducing fire or athena and hephaestus spreading the knowledge of crafts among humans or even ares and poseidon making way for the first court trial in greece on areopagus. You don't get the permission to "deconstruct" the myths if you don't even know what they are initially about

2. What makes me tick is RS makes everything up instead of working with mythology (first thing she'd have to do is to...ummm, know mythology but oh well). She seems to see original mythology as something limiting to her creativity instead of something that unlocks more possibilities for more interesting storytelling. If someone wants concrete examples, let's say persephone's half-bothers plutus and philomelus who'd make an interesting dynamic of maybe two protective/concerned older or younger bros (it'd lessen the portrayal of demeter's "bad" parenting) and she'd have a support system of two guys who don't have the motive to get in her pants, unlike , ykno, the rest of the male cast.  Also it'd even out the playfield between Perse and Hades finance and power-wise as Plutus is a god of wealth and Perse,aside from being a heiress, can also turn to her brother for financial help instead of being reliant on Hades all the damn time. Intead RS put Arion just for some lame joke of persephone having a horse brother and is stripped away from any familial connections (male or female) she has in myth so she'd fit in Hades's waifu mold with no risk of going sweet home alabama that myth implies so much

3. the fact persephone is barely over the age of 18 doesn't help when there's so much panels and art of her where's she's literally just naked. if she was 300 or smth we could at least know we are likely not looking at a naked underage girl, but instead it's like??? you're just praying youre not?? especially when she's around grown adults like hermes and hades?? rachel please i dont want to be put on a list -

8. There's something funny of LO fans trying to accuse Ava's Demon of ripping of LO as if it wasn't already published and popular in 2012, aka nearly SIX YEARS before LO even came out. Hell, it was HUGE on tumblr when RS was on it, there's no way she didn't know about it, and a lot of the LO characters seem awfully similar to Ava's Demon (Hades and Gils being a VERY obvious similarity). I'm not saying she did so, but if any sort of ripping off did happen, it would be from RS, not Michelle.

9. This is coming from someone who does have a huge age gap in their parents marriage(about 8 to 9 years apart) but the reason I don't see a problem with mine is that they both meet when they were MATURE ADULTS with jobs. Persephone cleary is not mature enough for Hades minus all the other problems with this relationship.

The reaction to Aaron and Ben tonight shows how subjective watching soaps can be. Non Robron people used to complain about bro hugs between Robron and how they had no chemistry, the dialogue was cringy and how it was totally unbelievable that Aaron would be would someone who had held him at gunpoint. Now with Robron fans, they are using the exact same arguments about Ben - bro hugs, cringy dialogue and how could Ben be with someone who used to bully him. It wasn’t great tonight but I thought there was some attempt to flesh out the relationship a bit if only to make it believable that Aaron would be prepared to move away with Ben which I think is the most likely exit story for Danny given that he could be on screen for maybe two more weeks at most.

I mean, it's definitely subjective but also objectively, the writing for Aaron and Ben's relationship has been terrible. Unless you're thoroughly blinded by the thought of Aaron being with any non Robert guy, most of their fans at least admit that the writing has not been great and they wish it could be better.

And I guess there was some attempt to flesh out their relationship and Ben as a character this week but it's so too little too late, it hardly seems to matter. I mean Aaron said last night "that's typical you innit?" to Ben wanting to do nice things for the HOP and it's laughable because Ben hasn't been on screen enough to have any kind of "typical" behavior. And tonight, all they did was go back to the well of Aaron being some aggressive, violent thug for the sake of plot, which is just regressive to Aaron's character at this stage and with no story to back it up and also just repetitive for Ben and Aaron. The one bit of story they had was their shared history of Aaron bullying him and a year later, that's still coming between them. But all they do is sweep it under the rug because "when it's good it's really good" except we've literally never seen that on screen.

But to be fair, may of us robron fans also complained about Danny and Ryan's "bro hugs" during the robron era. I mean this Ben and Aaron hug was....fine. But because it's based on nothing, I couldn't care less about it or their in unison "I love you".

The thing with Robron for me, despite some of the more far fetched elements of their story, is that there was always story. Sure Robert held a gun to his head at the lodge and it was insane but the whole lodge breakdown didn't come out of complete nowhere. It was building. And they didn't just say "oh it's fine" and get together 12 seconds later in the next episode. It took months of Robert proving himself to Aaron during the Gordon story before Aaron was able to trust him enough to get back together with him. I mean, presumably Aaron has somewhat shown himself to be a different person from when they were kids but that hasn't been a story they were interested in exploring or showing on screen. Ben was ready to go out with him five minutes after seeing him again, a drink, and a vague explanation. And most of their "relationship" such as it is has been off screen. We haven't seen the "really good times" and we haven't see Aaron prove that he's a better guy. I mean you could say that Ben saw something during the Liv stuff but they didn't bother to draw those connections or make that into any kind of story. Most of Robert's development and proving himself was on screen and so while it's still an insane soapy hand wavey thing, at least they're showing us that story. With Ben and Aaron, they're just not. And so all of it feels so empty.

None of the characters who the fandom gleefully theorised would turn on Cersei/murder her brutally/both any day (Jaime, Qyburn, Euron, Tyrion, Gregor Clegane, the people of King’s Landing, even) did that.  Cersei denied everyone, the characters and the audience, the satisfaction of seeing her die a slow and voyeuristic painful death as the woman who lead the realm to slaughter. Cersei didn't give anyone the satisfaction to kill her, none of her enemies get his revenge on her. She was emotional, happy and with the person that loved her most. Jaime hugged and comforted her, and she died human. Die mad about it 😘
