amaranth is generally…not…kind enough to care about ppl like that but i bet she knows a lot of cool and/or weird spots in space to show someone. maybe you can go commit low-stakes crimes together or something [she will not trust u with something actually risky if ur emotionally out of it]. .. ....she does also still like to fuck so like. if that would help. well.

wilddog's options are extremely limited but i think it usually knows the favorite messenger of a given guy so if it suspects someone's Troubled it'll send that specific messenger to 'em.

eris would b like. touches you on the head while rasping heavily. it doesnt help at all but he doesnt really know how to do anything else. those who Are friends with him can probably recognize it as a friendly gesture at least even if it still doesn't really help.

ezekiel again doesnt really associate with anyone in a friends type way so they're definitely not going to be GOOD at anything but they're also not like. heartless. THEORETICALLY i could see them just being the type to like. be Around. see if you need anything. invite a guy in if it's someone they actually trust--their home may be lonely, but it's also warm and peaceful.

... i'm actually kind of shocked i can't think of anything specific for spurlocke since he's supposed to be like, THE friend & homie guy. maybe since he's the main one who's actively Social he doesn't do as well with one-on-one sadness? i suppose most of his actions would be more along the lines of helping to Prevent you from getting down rather than picking you up once you're already there.

A Wish rewrite

(Scrapped) Act I - Prologue

We hear a woman’s voice reminiscent of the Golden Age of Disney, narrating events from a book:

Once upon a time, Stars roamed the earth. Magical beings from the sky that used their magic to help people, to assist them in fulfilling their dreams.

However, the Stars soon started to simply grant wishes, and people became lazy and dependent, demanding the stars make their wishes reality. The Stars became full of themselves and mad with power, almost destroying the kingdoms.

One survivor, Magnus Arman, escaped his burning homeland. He saw the wreckage the Stars had caused, and vowed that he could never lose the people he loved to the Stars again.

On his journey, Magnus came across another wrecked kingdom. Another land the Stars had destroyed. Another land with no survivors… but one. Magnus heard a faint sob in the distance. Once he followed it, Magnus came across a child— Asha Arabella.

Magnus took Asha under his wing, and started working to stop the Stars. He studied their magic, bringing his young daughter with him on his adventures.

While he studied, he met a young woman named Amaya, who cared for Asha like her own. Soon enough, the two fell in love and wed.

[Amaya’s dress is a callback to the classic Golden Age princess wedding dresses]

But one day, more Stars fell from the heavens and attacked, wanting all the magic for themselves.

That day, Magnus almost lost his family.

So Magnus, determined to protect his family, used all his magical knowledge and became the Wishgranter, one who would decide what wishes were good and what could never be granted.

Note that the book doesn’t tell exactly how Magnus defeated the Stars… but anyways now he has a sick-ass white outfit like the one we see in the canon movie.

He defeated the evil Stars, and together, Magnus and Amaya founded the Kingdom of Rosas, a safe haven across off the Iberian Peninsula where people could give their wishes to Magnus and he would keep them safe from harm, from the greedy Stars. Magnus became known throughout the lands as Magnifico, the master of wishes.

And often, the wishes people gave Magnifico were good, and he granted them.

We see Magnifico granting a wish [I can’t find the picture but let’s say the dressmaker one we saw in the movie with a callback to Sleeping Beauty’s dress. And you know what, it’s blue.]

Little Asha was raised in the castle where she was doted on by her parents.

Teen Asha, just a bit younger than she is now, so around fourteen, and the page flips to Asha now, seventeen years old.

And this is where our story begins.

Hi! I'm most interested on reading your version of HS extension(?) continuation? re-adaptation? Ever since I first saw your analysis on Dirk and Jake I've considered you with amazing grip of the characters and the HS universe over all, Dirk is one of my fav characters of all time (if not the), and there is nothing I'd want more for him than a happy ending, the epilogues were truly heart breaking for him (even though I was more than willing to see where they were going with him in HS^2 in hopes of seeing him reach a happy end) Homestruck was and still is one of my fav properties ever and I'd love to see more from you, I'm sorry you had a hard time but I'm really glad you're back, here and in a better headspace. That said, I guess I'm just somewhat confused on in you have something written already or if it's in the works or from where in the timeline you're continueing from ? Maybe you have like, a master post with your list of essays and fics?

The main project I've been managing since the Epilogues got posted is Pumpkin Path/Pumpkin Track, a sequel to the Meat and Candy epilogues focused primarily on Pumpkins and Vegetables as an alternative form of fan consumption.

The first installment of this arc is THE APOCRYPHON OF JAKE ENGLISH (2019), which follows Meat Jake immediately following Ultimate Dirk's desertion of Earth C. Brain Ghost Dirk declares Dirkjake cancelled and (trigger warning) self-destructs, unleashing the inner barriers in Jake's psychology that he always used his inner Dirk voice to maintain.

Thus Jake's own mind begins to lead him down a rabbit hole of speculatory metaphysics, esoteric spiritual symbolism, and esoteric magic theory that ultimately leads to his ascension to Ultimate Self as Prince English: Himself wearing Dirk's shades and orange hat and essentially larping as a Prince in imitation of Dirk proper.

Through the power he gains from this, he blasts off from Earth C and tracks down Ultimate Dirk for a no holds barred 8eatdown in which he reclaims their lost love and makes Dirk his prisoner with chains of love and mercy, cancelling his ability to die and comitting to becoming the vill8in of Homestuck, as well as its Her8, if it means he can keep Dirk safe and alive.

In the process he finally establishes Dirkjake as indisputable endgame canon, and becomes the equivalent of the I AM Christian God, the new existential equivalent to Lord English himself, with a will that predominates completely over everything else in Paradox Space. There may be some surprises that happen along the way, too.

Now, That much of the story has been written and published since 2019. You can read it on A03 right now and always could. In fact, I'd encourage you to do so and @ me, as well as maybe tag it with #Pumpkin Path, #Pumpkin Track, or just straight up #Homestuck for all I care. I want eyes on this thing, and I wanted them 4 years ago.

That said:

I am now nearing completion on the follow-up to the Apocryphon as an intermission piece between the Epilogues and Pumpkin Track proper, with what is essentially ACT 1 of Pumpkin Track: W(1)LDSCR1PT-B4R0QU3STUCK, a high-drama spectacle driven continuation of the plot of the Epilogues centering on a confrontation between Ultimate Jake English and Meat Jade Harley, who must duel for the right to decide if Dirk Strider dies.

In the process of their battle and Jade's necessary Ascension to Ultimate Selfhood in order to Rise uP to the level necessary to compete against a being like Prince English, deeply hidden truths will be unveiled; about the lives of Jade and Jake, about the moral logic that rules Earth C, and about the very nature and purpose of Paradox Space itself.

If I have it my way, if all goes as I Hope, then nothing in Homestuck will ever be the same once it's posted. The Apocryphon was setup. Now it's fucking Sh8wt1m3, and I can't w8.

The first half of Wildscript is written and has been being beta'd for several months, and I have a full outline written for the rest. Anyone who gets their eyes on the thing seems to come away pretty excited. Sometime in the near future, I'll post the first four Chapters of Wildscript on Ao3 or some other platform, and update the rest as I go. And once Wildscript is finished, I have future Acts and Intermissions planned for the foreseeable eternity, tackling off the top of my head: Ultimate Ascensions for Rose and Kanaya, Vriska and Terezi, Roxy and Calliope, Jane Crocker, and Nepeta Leijon and Tavros Nitram as they lead the twin charges of Nepetaquest 3033.

There is no endpoint to my ambition for the future of Homestuck save simply: 8. The only question is whether the fandom wants to come along for the ride with me in the long run. I think Hope Remains that we'll have a great time here if they do.

If not, I hope they have even more fun elsewhere.

The Lament AU is basically another Dimentio gets redeemed story. It started off in the form of an ao3 fanfic called A Jester’s Lament (AJL) that SOMEHOW gained so much love that I am still tweaking about it to this day. No seriously I owe my life to all of you. Im not joking. Email me for business inquires (sacrificial rituals). First come first serve btw

HOWEVER. While AJL is very VERY important to me and I’ll cherish it for all of time, it is a taaaaad bit outdated. While the fanfic itself is not changing, the story I established in AJL does have some minor adjustments now. Basically, think of AJL like a first edition of the Lament AU and this tumblr post is the second edition of the Lament AU LMAO

I’ll list specific changes for those who are interested (no one), but after that, I’ll give a summary of the Lament AU for those who don’t wanna read a 41 chapter Mario fanfic.

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR A JESTER’S LAMENT!

What Changed in the Lament AU since AJL:

1. Dimentio’s Initial Betrayal/Count Bleck’s Plan

Having conspired the plan before he was integrated into Team Bleck, Dimentio planned on betraying them all so he could use the entirety of the Dark Prognosticus + Chaos Heart’s magic for himself so he could create his own perfect world with the utmost power and magic available. However, as he befriended the others, this plan would change. Dimentio decided to not only spare Mimi and O’Chunks, but create their own worlds as well and risk the grandeur of his own world (this is not some kind of heroic sacrifice, trust me). AJL states that Count Bleck had lied to the minions and was never planning on giving them their new worlds. This is no longer canon. In the current Lament AU, Count Bleck was going to give them their worlds as he had promised (although, he planned to commit suicide by letting the Void take him, something no one knew). Despite his seemingly decent relationship with Count Bleck and Nastasia, Dimentio never planned on sparing them. While this is true in AJL, his motivations are different. In AJL, he did not plan on sparing Bleck and Nastasia for he believed them to be a traitors (he was aware of Bleck’s real plan and Nastasia’s knowledge of it). This motivation is no longer canon. In the current Lament AU, Dimentio, in his cruel greed, still desired the extra magic to create his perfect new world. He knew that if he spared the Count (and ultimately Nastasia, since her ideal world was to be WITH the Count wherever he went), his original blueprint for his horrifying utopia would be ruined.

AJL also states that Dimentio decided to spare Count Bleck and Tippi because they reminded him of his parents. This is no longer canon. In the current Lament AU, Dimentio brought the pair to Dimension D to murder Bleck himself as revenge for what Dimentio perceived to be pathetic cowardice from forfeiting the plan to end all worlds (and murder Timpani as further revenge upon Bleck). Why he brought Nastasia, that is now as vague as it was in the game.

2. Jaydes’ Judgement

Jaydes commanded Dimentio to be brought back/to return to the Underwhere in order for balance to be restored to the system of Life and Death, which King Boo had disrupted when he had revived Dimentio. She gave Dimentio an ultimatum: Return now and live a neutral afterlife (the best he could get) in the Underwhere, or remain on the mortal plane, and be forever condemned to his cell in Bonechill’s Prison as a result. Dimentio would not return, and remain with the others in order to try to fix the harm he had caused. In AJL, this rule/curse was lifted after the Pure Hearts revived Dimentio after the explosion because, “She [Jaydes] claimed along the lines of the Pure Hearts never healing evil, which erased the gray line that made Dimentio undeserving of both his cell and the Overthere, and, in turn, apparently making her feel more guilty about her pronounced curse.” This is no longer canon. Not only is Dimentio never seeing the Overthere, but they never find out if Jaydes changed her mind. As far as they know, after the events of the war, Dimentio is still damned to his cell for all eternity when he dies as punishment for disobeying Jaydes, a belief that would continue for the rest of their lives.

ERMMM WHAT THE FISH!! I think that’s it for plot changes. If I think of anymore of course I’ll add it :3

NOW. Here’s what that fucking thing is all about.

Lament AU’s Story (summarized version) (SPOILERS FOR AJL) (OBVIOUSLY):

King Boo is pretty sick of Luigi’s shit. He wants this guy DEAD. One day, he hears of some gay guy that came pretty damn close to prevailing against Mario and Co., so he travels to Bonechill’s Prison and gets this gay guy to agree to join him. Using his Dead Ghost King Powers, King Boo revives Dimentio’s soul and grants him a new physical body as a result. This resurrection spell has some setbacks, though. For one, it takes many months to fully complete. Until then, the revived soul must rely on Life Magic (same shit from a Life Shroom basically) given from the reviver in order to stay alive. This means that until the spell is complete and Dimentio can survive without King Boo’s life support, any kind of spell that Dimentio casts will ultimately drain his Life Magic fuel because that is all the magic he has in his body at ALL (it is automatically taken upon entry to the Underwhere). Basically, Dimentio is more dangerous than he was in the games for he is no longer holding himself back in battle, buuuuut… sometimes he will pass out and King Boo has to perform CPR mid-fight. Ridiculousness ensues.

ANYWAYS, Dimentio’s deal with King Boo is that he kills Luigi, and King Boo will craft Dimentio his perfect new world (albeit maybe not precisely how Dimentio planned) using a hybrid spell. The rest of it is typical Luigi and Co. VS Dimentio and King Boo (oh yeah, Steward too). But Dimentio is having EMOTIONAL ISSUES. Ohhhhh shiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Long story short, he is in complete denial that his new world is practically worthless without his friends. He is also forced to partner up with Luigi when the two accidentally end up in the Pit of 100 Trials. We also get some backstory (TLDR: Dimentio actually had an overall healthy and loving family growing up, but those who attempted to kill him and killed his mother sent him to wander dimensions forever, and he could not return home due to memory loss that lasted for a few thousand years. Skill issue LMAO get ratioed dumb fuck).

Anyways, that time in the Pit of 100 Trials planted a seed of “hey, this guy kinda has some swagger” in both Dimentio and Luigi. But it is only through more battles and through Luigi and Co. nursing Dimentio back to health (after Luigi tried to kill him with the Thunderhand LMAO get fucked gayass clown) that this seed grows. Eventually, Dimentio spares Luigi in a fight, and King Boo finds out about this. He’s like “man this guy SUCKS!!!” He drains Dimentio’s life magic, kills him, and puts his soul under mind control like he (King Boo) did with the ghosts in LM3. This is where Jinxed Dimentio comes from. Controlled by King Boo, Dimentio kills Steward and Luigi, who is revived by a Life Shroom. Luigi has a EUREKA 💡moment and uses another Life Shroom to try to revive Dimentio, which actually works.

Now Dimentio is kind of in a pickle 🤓☝️ The Life Shroom made it to where Dimentio was free from King Boo’s terms and conditions, meaning King Boo can’t go around taking his Life Magic away anymore. HOWEVER, the initial revival spell is not complete, so every spell Dimentio casts will still drain his Life Magic and kill him if he isn’t careful. In fact, the only Life Magic he has left comes from the Life Shroom, so for a while he can’t cast spells at ALL.

But anyways. Dimentio is now on the good side blah blah blah working to make amends whatever. But Queen Jaydes is like “HEY Luigi. Come here rq 🙏 since uh. Anyways Dimentio ends up using some of his Life Magic to put his sister (Shadoo) out of her misery, which leaves him weak as hell for the Final Battle which happens like 5 seconds later. Mf is practically on a ventilator and being rolled around on a hospital cot for the entire damn fight. That is, until he remembers he casted a Permanent Spell a while back to make his bed he had in King Boo’s fortress float off the ground (okay princess), so he absorbs that magic and is now balling (kinda). He uses a clone to trick and lead his friends away from the fortress, then confronts King Boo and uses a box-explosion so powerful it breaks the box and kills Dimentio in the process. The others find out, gooogoo gaga, womp womp. King Boo is somehow still alive. He’s about to kill everyone when some my little pony shit happens and the Pure Hearts return, imprisoning King Boo who fucking knows where and resurrecting Dimentio and, thus, finally fully completing the revival spell.

Blah blah blah happy ending, Dimentio knows he still has a long way to go to make amends, he works as a babysitter for the Koopalings now, he lives in Flopside, everyone goes on a fun and goofy Odyssey trip, yeah he’s going to hell for disobeying the goddess of death and judgement but let’s try not to think about that,

So like I said- while AJL IS the Lament AU, it can also be considered its own “version” of the Lament AU because it is a fanfic with a clear ending- that being the Odyssey trip. Anything that happens after has been left up to reader interpretation for a while now. Because of this- it is completely up to you if you want the rest of the Lament AU to be canon to the A Jester’s Lament fanfic or not. Even though it’s the same AU blah blah blah blah blah. You want AJL-Lament AU Dimentio to live a very long peaceful happy time? HIP HIP HOORAY!! :D But. Lament AU Dimentio. Uh.

So

For a few years uh. Nothing. AJL ends on the Odyssey trip, and life continues as normal (+ expensive therapy) with our main protagonists becoming closer friends.

HOWEVER. Yk how Dimentio is like “Who knows? Maybe I have a few more centuries of life yet” at the end of the fic? (LOUD INCORRECT FAMILY FEUD BUZZER). Lament AU/AJL Dimentio only lives for about six more years post-war.

But user dappledpaintbrush, why? Why would you make him go through allat just to die six fucking years later? Seems overkill

But before he died, Dimentio ultimately decided that when he DID die, he was going to drown his soul in the River Twigz. Not because he was damned to his cell, but because he believed he had lived long enough to know he didn’t want to live forever, regardless of what his aftergame looked like. He told the others about this, and Luigi asked him if he [Dimentio] could wait to see him [Luigi] again first. This was asked under the assumption that Dimentio would die centuries after everyone else, and that there would be no “wait time” to see Luigi and the others again and thus, no risk of getting caught by Jaydes and sent to Bonechill’s Prison before Dimentio had the chance to end his aftergame. But yeah then Dimentio kicks the bucket from Ancient Death (basically: DAMN! YOURE WAYY TOO OLD LMAOOO. DIE INSTANTLY!). HOWEVERRRR, Dimentio said fuck it we ball and asked Jaydes if his punishment could be postponed so he could fulfill his promise to Luigi. This is when we finally get a resolution to the judgement subplot- she changes her mind about punishing him WOOHOO🔥🔥🔥

Also the gang visits him sometimes. rarely. almost never. because Jaydes is like listen ik yall are the heroes of all realities but yall can’t just Do That. Mostly they’re like BITCH KING BOO IS AT IT AGAIN😐😐 and Dimentio starts tweaking from the great beyond

But yeah uh. Dimentio still ends his aftergame when all is said and done. Sorry guys I just don’t see him willingly living forever. I think that desire died with his perfect world. Also I feel like it’s the final ultimate part of his redemption because he tried to eliminate every living thing from existence as well. Aldus enters the Underwhere (where he is now visible due to what is essentially Jaydes’ firewall) and ends his aftergame alongside his son, too. Father son bonding can I get an amen. Also, Merlova canonically died-died in the battle against the Skellobits. So yeah. The Dimentio lineage is completely eliminated by the ultimate end of the Lament AU. Thank GOD

the homestuck epilogues aren't bad. just btw.

like you may not LIKE them for whatever reason. but that doesn't make it bad and it doesn't mean nobody likes it. some of y'all have GOT to stop getting sucked into these rly negative hatereading echo-chambers. you NEED to form your own opinions with an open mind instead of parroting bullshit i BEG you.

when the epilogues came out, people were incredibly angry that its format and tone had changed drastically from the norm. people were frustrated that their favorite characters were acting different, in spite of the fact that of COURSE they weren't the exact same, as several in-universe years had passed since act 7!

ever since then, the idea that "post-canon is bad" has circulated within the fandom with as much virility as "gamzee makara is tall" and "alpha dave strider wears a suit." people say it's bad, then their friends repeat them, and so on, all without ever having read it nor even having given it a chance.

there are criticisms to be made, for sure. that goes without saying. i didn't particularly like how tavros, eridan, and feferi were written in the epilogues. there was a seemingly obvious bias against jake likewise, even in situations where the narrator really has no reason to dislike him - see: alt calliope.

but in the end, even if i don't like how my favorite character was written, that's just a nitpick in the end. the story is much more than that. it was a labor of love and effort by talented writers, and hs2 has been much the same. real life actual people poured hours and hours of work into it, and i wanna enjoy it for what it is. i wanna see what it's building up to.

i think that's kind of the main issue here though. some people just kinda..... FORGET that homestuck and the post canon shit didn't just spawn from the aether, fully formed. real people with real feelings made them, and at the very least, it's just, like, polite to not be a complete jackass about it? to just be like "eh it doesn't sound like it's for me." to say "i don't like it, but it's cool if you do."

remember. the post-canon authors and artists are making what THEY want to make. it comes off as super entitled and nasty when you're a dick to them because they didn't make it how YOU would have made it, or how YOU want them to make it.

Yvette is such an interesting character for me but it just makes me sad whenever I think abt her cause the canon shut her off for literally no reason. she's there since the beginning, she should be an active figure, she's literally Rhys' best friend. yet all the bad writing decisions make her seem like a bad guy when,, she's rly not. she's just defending herself in the heartless Hyperion landscape. not to mention, she admits that she only took the deal when she knew that they wouldn't do anything to Rhys. she was just desperate, worried for her friends

but the narrative treats her horribly. not only the option not to shock her is hard to get in the first playthrough (which yields in her apologizing btw soooo) but also u have to make 3 SEPARATE CHOICES to actually save her from death. again, comparing to Vaughn who also double crosses u for (no reason) and game rly wants u to trust him. anyways, it's not abt him, I just love making choices that guarantee Yvette at the end of the game, it makes me smile

I usually can't decide where I want her to be the most post epilogue tbh. I see her either being with Helios Hellions, being their strategist (and not dying), helping the people. or I see her on a space journey across planets (with Sasha), learning abt new places and enjoying her time when her life finally belongs to her

tbh? in other scenario she deserves to rule Hyperion. with Blake by her side. just sayin

I hc her as a lesbian and my two ships for her are with Sasha (travelling, learning to let loose and exploring) and with Angel (they take over Hyperion together and work through feeling crushed by others, while learning to be each other)

the orange shirt is just her work uniform. on her own she prefers to wear cold colors, like that purple she has for her character text

she doesn't go anywhere without her glasses

going off of her lunch theming and all, I think she is very into different cuisines and has a refined palette. during her travels she makes sure to taste the local cuisine

she and Rhys are the best gossip buddies and they love to go clubbing together during the weekends

HERE IT IS! CLASSPECT ANALYSIS ON SMG4 AND SMG3!! (Long post)

To those who are new and confused to the title, it is based on this post and the artwork I made during early 4/13, where I drew SMG4 and SMG3 as their classpect, Prince of Blood (SMG4), and Bard of Light (SMG3). I got a permission of my friend to at least borrow their reasoning on their classpect, and use it for the analysis, and they agreed.

Note: Do remind that to take this analysis as a grain of salt, and don't take this as an "official classpect" for them, as me and my friend @sleepytimetem (which I will call by their name "Mars" for easier reading) basically used the unofficial official wiki, mainly the personality information. You have been warned!

NOW ON TO THE ANALYSIS!!

SMG4 - Prince of Blood

Prince: One who destroys aspect or destroys through aspect for themselves

Blood: Literal meaning (Blood), Metaphorical meaning: (Unity, Bonds, Brotherhood, Friendship)

Prince of Blood is one who destroys Blood or destroys through Blood for themselves. They either literally destroy your own blood or destroy the connection with someone or themselves.

For SMG4, this classpect is shocking, yet make total sense when you realized his action, and his personality, as one of my friend, Mars, stated that SMG4 is always the leader of his crew (which makes sense as Blood players are theorized to be the leader), but he would pushed everyone out by lashing out (example: SMG4: Mar10 Day) due to him wanting to be focused on him alone. This is also due to SMG4 trying to ghost the opposite aspect of his, which is Breath, which means Air in literal sense, while metaphorically, it means Freedom, Adaptability, and in this case… Detachment. You could say that SMG4 is trying to detach himself from the others just to create a perfect video. 

For bigger example how he is connected with this classpect, take a look on one of the three-episode, High School Mario, Mario University, and The Mario Hustle, those three are pretty much close to how Prince would do to their teams, tricking them, with The Mario Hustle being the big one, as Mars stated “tricking his friends into doing shit for him?... it’s def the Thief/Prince vibes' ' (which btw, that is the secondary class that they can think off). Another example of this is how he treated SMG3 in the past. 

Based on what my friend said regarding his classpect, this cause me to connect to this idea that SMG4 is destroying SMG3’s way of getting connection, whether those two in meme school days (although seems unintentional and not knowing what he is doing with SMG3), where SMG4 is the golden student with everyone adore him, causing SMG3 to be the outcast in the school, or SMG4 destroying SMG3’s studio, in which as a Prince of Blood cases, trying to destroy the connection between SMG3 and his Snitch Production’s fanbases, and his crew. He also tried to destroy SMG3’s connection with his fanbase again in “SMG4… Are you ok?”, although unsuccessfully (it is also possible that he didn’t try to destroy it, just asking why he gets 3 million views, which makes this part just me overanalyzing it). In the same video, he possibly unintentionally destroys himself with his connection to his fanbase as he tries to create “better” content, and started to use the Toads, which leads to mistreatment of them, before SMG3 intervenes and cancels SMG4, which if we use Homestuck’s classpect logic, SMG3 is using his classpect, Bard of Light (which I will explain later on).

Now, that doesn’t mean that SMG4 is evil since Prince (and also Bard) class in Homestuck are usually viewed as antagonists, oh no no! That’s just wrong! While yes, Prince is the active destroyer class, that doesn’t mean they are evil, it’s mainly due to how the canon Princes (Eridan Ampora, and unfortunately Dirk Strider in HS: Epilogue and HS^2 (sorry Kurloz)) are written to be one, which makes it hard to see a official Prince player that are good person, according to Mars. Think of the Destroyer class in any session they are in as like a big asset of either yours or their teams, while trying to maintain them into a correct path, in SMG4 sense, his crew is pretty much that team to make sure that he is in check, even if he is showing his own ego, and/or his insanity just for a perfect video in It's Gotta be Perfect "arc"/saga. 

TL: DR, the reason SMG4 is a Prince of Blood is mainly due to how he is destroying his own, or others’ (mainly SMG3) connection, just for his own benefit, which is himself, which also causes the effect of the current “arc”/saga, It’s Gotta Be Perfect “arc”/saga (both during and post event of it).

SMG3 - Bard of Light

Bard: One who destroys aspect or destroys through aspect for others

Light: Literal meaning (Light), Metaphorical meaning (Fortune, Luck, Probability, Enlightenment, Relevancy)

Bard of Light is one who destroys Light or destroys through Light for others. They literally would destroy the light itself, making everyone have “bad luck” or removing you from plot significance.

Here is a fun fact about SMG3’s classpecting. When my friend read the information on SMG3, they gave out the idea that SMG3’s aspect is either Light or Mind aspect, with Light being the winner due to one thing that always describe what SMG3 has wanted, “Spotlight”, which makes sense since Lightbound players are based on plot significant aka being relevant. But Mars also stated that SMG3 is hard to get his class, which is either Thief or Bard. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Mate! Your friend is right on the idea that SMG3 is a Lightbound player, but why did your friend pick the Bard class rather than the Thief class? Didn’t SMG3 try to steal SMG4’s video and fame? Wouldn’t that make more sense?” And guess what? You’ll be right! It would make sense based on the context of his characterization back then, I even jokingly guessed it to them, and they said that it's a good guess! Except… There is one problem, and that is how my friend stated that they thought about it, but they scratched that idea for a time being until they got to the Bard or Thief dilemma. We have to pick which one, either giving SMG3 the Thief class, making him one of the character that has the canon Homestuck character that has that classpect, which is Vriska Serket, or a Bard class, where we basically just have him in Gamzee Makara cosplay but in Lightbound paint on it than Rage ones, which at first, we didn’t like the idea, until I asked them that which one leans way more, and they said this statement:

“I’m thinking Bard, He ghosts Void, having literally no idea how to film properly unlike 4, Then once he gets the crisis, he tries to seek the fame. I’m thinking Bard of Light”

In short, we basically agreed on the idea that SMG3 would be a Bard of Light which unfortunately yes, there is a chances he gets a codpiece, WHICH I DON’T RECOMMEND RESEARCHING IT FOR THOSE WHO ARE CONFUSE ON WHAT THE HECK IS A CODPIECE!, and that was originally going to be it, SMG3 is a passive destroyer of fame, he ghosted a Void aspect (which means literal void or darkness in literal meaning, while metaphorically, it means irrelevant, or plot insignificance), and tried to destroy SMG4 by passively destroying his spotlight due to jealousy. That’s about it… right? Well, I would say yes, until my brain went into a mode where I realized why this actually makes even more total sense beside the obvious reason, and that is one single thing that I somewhat left out in the information that I gave to my friend, but at the same time, did have it in, just probably didn’t get the highlight, and that is this… INTERNET GRAVEYARD!!

…Let me explain.

If Bard can passively destroy anything, and Light metaphorically can also represent relevancy, wouldn’t that mean SMG3 is passively destroying the memes that are relevant without interfering or knowing about it? I mean think about it this way, SMG3 is a Ruler/Lord of the Internet Graveyard, where he takes cares and protects dead memes or in this case, irrelevant related stuff on the internet who are landed into the Graveyard itself, until they become relevant again in the internet's eyes and back to the "living" world it goes, causing the effect of the meme lifecycle. Meaning, if we use Homestuck’s classpect ability logically, SMG3 is passively using his aspect to destroy something relevant, but this time for good, in which if you remember what I said about the episode, “SMG4… Are you ok?” When I explained for SMG4’s classpect, SMG3 intervenes and has cancelled SMG4 due to him trying to make a "better" content and mistreating the Toads, however, instead of destroying SMG4 for having a spotlight, he is destroying it so he can stop SMG4 from trying to damaging himself. In that case… SMG3 went from a destructive Bard player to a healthy Bard player, due to him, like SMG4, has someone to keep him in check, as Bard class is pretty much the passive version of Prince class.

TL: DR, SMG3 is a Bard of Light, who once tried to destroy SMG4’s spotlight destructively, although passive in the past, until he started to use it on memes who are relevant without intervening with or knowing about it.  

And that's about it! Remember, take this as a grain of salt, and who knows, maybe you have an idea on what's their possible classpect! so... yea!

my personal opinion on yoohankim

the reason why i am unwillling to read more than three pages of ao3′s yoohankim ship tag (this prelude is, in fact, ineffectual to my argument because at the time of this post, ao3′s yoohankim ship tag has three pages, but please ignore this for my following point) is because they all get them completely wrong. 

all three of these mfs are emotionally inept and incapable of speaking their true feelings directly. they would not say, “i love you.” 

what they would say (in a scenario [not Scenario] wherein they’re not at the pre-relationship stage, but not quite past the pining stage, after going through extreme amounts of character development. important, because at any other stage in this process, except in the ones past the pining stage, these would either be insults or just not said ever): “your prose is beautiful.” “i wrote this for you.” “i want you to be my ■■■.” “you were my beginning, and i want you to be my end.” “you’re my protagonist. i’ve put too much effort in you to let you go now.” “thanks for betareading for me.” “you’ll starve if you don’t take breaks, technical god of this universe or no. i made kimchi jjigae.” 

the stages are like this: 

pre-relationship is them at the end of canon. 

pining is an extremely long period of uncertainty and miscommunication and learning each other where they help each other smooth over some issues (ie. thinking that kim dokja is going to disappear again if yoohan take their eyes off him, yoo joonghyuck having to acclimate to not regressing anymore bc he’s in his epilogue and the idea that any death he will experience will most likely be permanent, and han sooyoung grappling with the fact that she very publically arranged for kim dokja’s return so everyone knows that she has non-negative feelings about him, and just non-negative feelings in general). 

getting together is a long space where they realize other, not apocolypse-related stuff about each other (kim dokja’s home isn’t the house kim com share, kim com themselves, or even yoohan. it’s ways of survival. han sooyoung is the type of writer who churns out ludicrously high word counts with an appalling ease and practically posts their first draft with minimal revision, but the end product is offensively flawless. yoo joonghyuck’s favorite skill he owns is cooking, not only because he likes taking care of others, but because he vastly prefers being able to create something with his own two hands over killing.) 

the relationship life stage is domestic bliss (with an excruciating amount of annoying married “it was your turn to do the dishes; you forgot to write this on the grocery list, dumbass; you said you’d do the laundry yesterday!” bickering)

extremely important that they sound like they hate each other. all of them are very quiet about affection, and their eqs are all collectively shit enough that they would be unwilling to discuss whenever they cross a relationship milestone, such as holding hands, sharing a bed, or saying they care for one another aloud. but this ends up working in their favor, as they’re on the same, emotionally inept “i would actually rather strip in public and get arrested for public indecency than talk about my feelings” brainwave, so it doesn’t matter that they don’t talk about it

every time people write them as anything but the codependent, emotionally incompetent, bitchless trio of dumbasses they are, a part of me dies a little inside.

btw: they are in an ace relationship. either that or qprs. they are all in some shade of love with each other, whether it be platonic or romantic. han sooyoung is a lesbian.

YES as long as it is not covered in vines hehe. i think post-canon she would probably have a lot of conflicting feelings about being in her tower in reverie just because of how long she'd been trapped in there but i think she would really value being inside (spending months alone in a forest is Not Fun) and having a safe, comfortable living space. she told the goose she that when she goes to sleep she might not wake up for a hundred years again so i think it's really important for her to make the place she sleeps safe and i think that would result in a really comfy cozy home. i have so many silly headcanons for what she does post-canon and baking is one of them and i would love to be roommates with her and try her baking. also !!! her little epilogue including her getting into spinning made me so happy because i crochet and i think fiber art parallel play would go crazy

14. i am very partial to anything with puffy sleeves for her !!! i think she would experiment with a lot of different fashion types post-canon but i just looked back through all my ros art and i have been drawing her with puffy sleeves since january which is a little silly but i love to ignore official art. Tbh i am not sure about specific aesthetics but i'd like to think she branches out and tries more androgynous or masc styles but still enjoys dressing really fancy and feminine

18. ouugughhhh my god everything going on with snow white and cinderella. they have such unique relationships with each other and i am obsessed i am always thinking about them. i just started my neverafter rewatch (i am being really normal and watching each episode once a week on the date it came out last year) and recently gathered clips for a glassbriars edit and i feel crazy. there's so much there. i could go on for ages about the daughters of the crown and queerness but even just focusing on the explicit non-romantic canon of it they are so fascinating. sorry i feel like i have to go pace around my room just thinking about them. cinderella is the one who's there for her when her entire worldview is shattered and is the first princess she meets and she Gets It she gets what ros is going through and connects so deeply with her and i was hooked the moment their scene in ep 4 started but Especially with the line "do not take the crimes of those who have manipulated us and put them at the feet of the world" i was instantly obsessed !!!! and their moment after the final battle is so sweet they mean to much to me they really love each other. and snow is someone with a story that is Extremely similar and also i could talk a lot about rosamund and warmth and coldness and i will maybe talk about it once i finish my rewatch and gather all the quotes and moments i'm thinking of but snow's physical coldness ties into that for me. as well as the undeath stuff !!! and i am never not thinking of "i expected no one more than you to understand" "i expected no one more than you to want to live" IT MAKES ME CRAZYYYYY. AND them critting and killing each other is WILD it's Perfect. the dice do tell the story!!! and then the epilogue scene and the fact that siobhan completely initiated it is so good. no clue what would've happened with gerard and snow but i am so glad it didn't happen. and of course i am always thinking about the dress up scene in the snow queen's castle. i love them a lot can you tell i'm normal about them btw
