No greater horror than going to reread one of your favourite fics only to realize it was fucking deleted.
BUT THEN YOU REMEMBER THAT YOU SAVED IT ALL A WHILE BACK AND FIND THE SAVED COPY
So now Im just staring at the fucking PDF file of the fic, absolutely flabbergasted and shocked. This is it. This is the only way I'll ever be able to read it now. Holy shit 😭
The author deleted their entire accout too, so I guess they just wanted to get rid of everything. Which, I mean, is fine, it is their work after all. They can do whatever they want with it.
BUT MAN, Im gonna be saving stuff all the time from now on.

Hello guys!!!!! Aforementioned project is finally finished 🫠 It was meant to be just a simple weekend project, and ended up being 30+ hours over the period of like four days. I don't think I'm an actual normal human anymore. This is the project that caused everyone in my life to question my mental and physical wellbeing and health. But I'm super excited to share this all of you!!!! Please enjoy!!!! Even if you don't like vettonso, I hope this is still interesting????
If you make any, please reblog this or tag me in it! I'm excited to see what other people, other than just me suffering alone in my bedroom, make out of this!!! <3

x-men 97 is so fucking good??? i started watching it bc i have magneto/cherik brainworms but i truly love every single character in this. there isn’t a single character who doesn’t feel fleshed out and interesting. and i love love LOVE how much emphasis is put on relationships, and how they’re impacted by the superhero shenanigans—rogue and gambit, cyclops and jean grey, roberto and jubilee. when a superhero story is way more about the emotional impact of being a superhero and how that affects the people around them i eat it UP every time.
and also as a certified magneto lover i gotta say i love what theyre doing with his character so far. i think its beautiful to see his growth, and see a version of him that’s more of a good guy while still maintaining his beliefs. i think that’s realistic to what his politics really are once he can get past his own anger. he hasn’t let go of his need to protect his people from genocide, or backed down from the fact that violence is a justifiable form of resistance, which i think are two really important cornerstones of his character. but being able to maintain that while still working towards coexistence, and all because he wants to do right by charles??? its so beautiful to watch.
and also the animation style?? the vintage film grain they put over everything?? the crazy ass dream sequences in fire and flesh?? THE VIDEO GAME EPISODE??? holy shit. every frame is gorgeous. theres just so much creativity and love and artistry packed into every episode and i love it :)

fuuuuuuuuuck just fuck
Kir asking to shoot Camel in the face and Akai's reply just fhsjskskksfj the thoughts that had to fly through his brain at that point and the fact that they gave the line back to Ikeda rather than having it stay as Okiya hits it further home.
Like Akai trust Camel. He thinks Camel has some of the best driving skills. And he also recognizes Camel's guilt for blowing his meeting with Gin and his cover and endangering Akemi. And he's not above using him for it. And here it comes out perfectly.
Here we have Kir who's cover could be blown by Camel being exposed. And he picks Kir who's CIA not FBI over Camel. Even though it's a bet on his part and even though he fully thinks he still can rescue Camel, he picks Kir's safety over Camel.
He has multiple reasons to do so. First Kir is still undercover and he has her partially betraying loyalties and working for him. So part of it is prioritizing any information he can get about the Organization out of her. Another part is she's undercover where he used to be, where he still wishes he could be. He wants his teeth in their flesh and if he can't have it he'll have someone else have it. And to top it all off? Even though he's fine using Camel and trusts Camel and Camel's guilt, he probably still is not happy with him somewhat (bad phrasing but my brain is refusing to feed me the words I want). Camel directly blew his cover, and indirectly killed Akemi. Even if Akai mostly blames himself for Akemi's death the fault in his cover being blown with nothing to show for it is Camel's. He cannot appreciate or like him for that.
So he picks Kir who isn't his own and likely has a slighlty different purpose than Camel who is on his side. He'd sacrifice him before Kir, which I find interesting. Even if he trusts he'll save him in the whatever miniscule percent chance of failure Akai sees in his brain he chooses Kir over him.

Every time I see a story about Hades and Persephone now, my mind starts clawing at the walls and screaming this is not what the story is supposed to be. This is not The Brand. The themeing is not there.
Demeter is not the bad guy, Hades is not the bad guy. If anything, Persephone is the bad guy. But she's not guilty, she's fated. It's a dance of themeing.
If Demeter is the bad guy, you take away the joy of summer and gratitude of spring. If Hades is the bad guy, you destroy the inevitability and softness of death. But Persephone.
The earth does not care if you die. The winter does not care if you slip on ice. The stone does not care if your ankle cracks. The world of circumstance is unkind and unapologetic. It's neither worse than Hades' death nor different; but it's to be feared. It's sudden and violent. It's a terror. The Dread Persephone.
The story of Persephone should be about self-discovery, not victimhood or tragic accidents.
