This woman is the worst mythomaniac and the most pathetic know-it-all of the entire fandom. Mark me: probably a sock account of one of the Mordor sopranos, who'd like to play it cool otherwise. She is an impostor, pretending to be a Scot. But her grammar and spelling recurrent mistakes point to anything else but an English native speaker.

Prized and praised as she is by the dim-witted, she is living proof of the fact that you cannot reasonably and endlessly pretend to be an expert in hair implants, cocktails/bartending, audiovisual production, copyright, alcohol sales and pretty much everything in between. What happened, in fact, at the Landcon 6 whisky tasting?

Ok. So, this was announced by the French organizers on March 5th and presented as a limited audience event, priced at 350 euros.

To my knowledge, Landcon's venue was neither a cemetery, nor a church (the latter could be, however discussed: wee & lame joke, btw). And for that poor woman's information, you would not need an exemption, but a permit, or licence. In current French law, there are four such sale permits, ranked from I (soft drinks, such as Orangina) to IV (all drinks, including spirits). The fabled Licence IV (also the name of a beloved 90s French kitschy music group, LOL) is now impossible to obtain and if you want to have one, you have to buy the venue (cafe, nightclub, bar, bistro, restaurant or buvette) that had it issued first, many moons ago.

That problem solved, we would have to further analyze the type of event hosted by the Landcon. Was it a tasting or a sale, according to French regulations?

If it was a tasting, no licence is needed. If it was a sale, you might need a temporary licence, granted by the Mayor, provided you have notified them at least 3 months before the event. These are also famously hard to get and very sparingly granted, too.

Because tastings are an exception, they are strictly defined by French regulations as 'free alcohol consumption' and their regulations are excruciatingly detailed. Procedures and limitations vary according to the type of event: sports, tourism promotion, markets and fairs, public gatherings or cultural events (which is the one that seemed the closest to our situation). But a cultural event-cum-tasting would have to be completely free of charge (no paying access tickets), in order to be exempt from any legal obligation. This was not the case, as we know there was a rather steep, 350 euros fee, to be able to attend it:

That new activity was certainly not a tasting, as defined by French law. An amateur could then conclude, that S's event was, in fact, a disguised sale and that he is either a sinister fool or a filthy conman.

The trouble is, French legislation tolerates one single, overruling exception to everything I wrote above: sale by the producer of said alcohol. It is to be found (or rather interpreted - and it has been so by myself AND the French professional organizations), in the Code Général des Impôts/ French Tax Code:

To avoid a tedious legal translation, the idea is that if you do not sell your own produced booze, you are automatically considered as a stockist/trader and as such, subject to alcohol sales' regulations. If the Landcon organizers would have sold/promoted Laphroaig, for example, they would have needed the permit. But hosting a paying tasting event organized by SRH, promoting SRH's whisky and which profits entirely belonged to SRH is a sale by the producer, as defined by French law, not needing a permit:

So: even if the tasting event was, in fact, a sale, French law allows a producer to sell his own alcohol, for promotion purposes as a side event, with no further need to obtain a permit. And this is exactly what their legal team rightfully advised them to do and completely what I would advised them to do, too.

That woman is so often and in so many ways completely wrong, that she is absolutely ridiculous. She (and also her other Big Friend) should perhaps stop pretending to be whatever they are not. Infantilizing, bullying and snarling at people does not help with their credibility.

Such women are genuine Frauds and absolutely despicable. People spend years fucking their eyesight in law school and we do not joke about interpreting and reading legalese. Ever. But to see idiots pretending to know just because they fucking used Google for ten minutes is just infuriating: it took me two hours to find the exception and another two to write this comment.

hi! just wanted to say how ive been applying one of your discussions from a while back. ive been aware ofc that black hairstyles are limited in video games but i didnt know just how much i take it for granted that *my* hairstyle is so easy to make! playing a lot of new games since my semester is over, it's been bugging me noticing only an afro or *the killmonger* in most menus...

asking my mutuals on tumblr or black gamers on forums i frequent has been really eye opening. i'm an aspiring game designer and i knew it was important to have diversity in hairstyles, but it hadn't prompted this research before (such as learning about long loc styles and the lack of long natural hair in game design.) now i know what areas of my 3d modelling art are lacking, and what i need to learn this summer! (ps to other 3d modelling artists: many black youtubers have helpful tutorials on unique geometry nodes for the physics of black hair! learn something new today!)

as an artist and a writer, thanks for this blog! i agree with others that your prose is easy to learn from and prompts a lot of introspection and personal research.

Lip oils recommendations🍒✨

From the most expensive to the cheapest…

I. Clarins Lip Comfort Oil - 30$

I’ve tried those two shades (Cherry and Pitaya) for months now and those are simply amazing. 1. The color is so pretty and it absolutely doesn’t get into the lines of your lips. 2. Very hydrating, I have crusty dry lips and I can use this on a daily basis without having my lips dry at the end of the day. Also the container doesn’t leak! Lovely soft candy smell too! My only complain is the price…worth it yes, but so expensive. Wide range of shades. 9.5/10

II. Gisou Honey Infused Hydrating Lip Oil - 28$

I would eat those for breakfast. They are so shiny, so tasty and the colors are beautiful. I’ve only tried those two shades, Mango Passion Punch and Watermelon sugar, and oh my if they have a good taste and smell, never had a lip oil smell THIS good. Also, this is so hydrating, really. Your lips are going to be SO SMOOTH (so comfortable), it works just like the most hydrating lip balm you could possibly find. I am so glad they did this tinted version, because I couldn’t bare the smell of the original one (it smells like fried food and even if that hydrating, I couldn’t use it😭). The best lip oil I’ve ever had (I only had those for a week, but I’ve been using them constantly, but in case something goes wrong in the future, I’ll do an update here). Also very expensive, but shut up and take my money for this. And again, SO SHINY OMG. 10/10

III. CLINIQUE Almost Lipstick - 25$

This is not actually a lip oil, like, not totally, because it is still emollient like an oil and also I wanted to talk about it since it was everywhere last year. The color got me obsessed with berry lip tints, it changed my idea of “ideal color” forever. Still, I expected so much better. I have dry lips, as I mentioned before, and this isn’t hydrating enough and for a product of THAT price it isn’t really acceptable. My lips always crack after not even thirty minutes, the trick is to put underneath a basic transparent lip balm and voilà, but you know…in italy I payed even more than in the us for this product and I was disappointed (30€ which is way more that 25$). The black honey from clique was a cultural reset and I shall try one day the liquid form, hopefully that will be more hydrating. Still, the color on the lips is so beautiful yet natural. Not sentenced. 7/10

IV. Pacifica GLOW STICK Lip Oil - 11$

This is what the Clinique one should’ve been. I originally bought this because I was searching for a dupe of the black honey and, oh my, if I striked right (I bought this one before the og). The effect on the lips is the SAME, you can’t tell them apart, the shade is Crimson Crush. Also, this one really does the job, it is hydrating, not as much as other presented here before, but it works well and the price is good! Not sentenced. There are also other very cute shades. Also I think that a stick lip oil is genius. 9/10

V. NYX FAT OIL LIP DRIP - 9$

This one almost feels like a lip gloss from how glossy it is. Also the shades can be either sheer, a slight tint, or also almost a full color. I have the shades Status Update and That’s Chic and I used them a lot this summer. The color doesn’t last too long, but it a lip oil what do you expect, it’s transferable. Not sentenced. Can get in the lines of your lips. Very pretty overall, very good price and also great shade range (I want to try some more of those uhh). Container doesn’t leak! A very solid 8/10

VI. Essence hydra kiss LIP OIL - like 3-4$

Lovely lip oil, the formula is very comfortable and soooooo hydrating. An awkesome every day lippie and colors are very nice. I have no complains except one: the container leaks. I can’t bring it anymore with me because it has become all sticky on the outside, thankfully we had a long run before this, I’m almost out of it anyway (I ate it gnam😀) . Not sentenced. Otherwise, sooo good! 7.99/10 for the container not the product

VII. Essence Cranberry tinted lip oil - also 3-4$

This lip oil is THAT GIRL. Amazing, so surprised the first time I tried and now look at us, at the second empty bottle, hoping to find another one somewhere, since it is hard to find it in store. So hydrating and you get the cutest tint!! Essence never does one wrong when it comes to shiny lips and I love them for that. The container doesn’t leak!! Not sentenced. 10/10!

incoherent frustrated ramble on ink tanks

im making like no progress on anything all day because ive just been thinking about this. but im so annoyed. omg. almost all of them are shaped like stuff you can drink from and you absolutely could probably drink from them if you removed the cap. they literally SAY IT in splatoon 3 (you CAN drink from it). but also the tank is clearly draining ink FROM the inklings. splatoon 3 is the first- and only game where several variants of the ink tank actually have a tube going from the shoulder harness to the tank which is AWESOME and it implies, i would assume, that the harness that is touching the skin is absorbing ink and putting it in the tank. we see this in the hydration pack ink tank (multiplayer) as well as the plastic bottle hero mode ink tanks

there's conflicting canon information on how ink tanks actually work, or for how ink gets into weapons in the first place. the most likely way that works for ANY WEAPON is that the ink is secreted through the palms and weapons have tubes built into their handles from which the ink goes into the weapon's tank; it's a flaky theory that doesn't really work because a lot of weapons have handles that clearly would NOT be porous, but it's the most foolproof because it can be applied to any weapon with little stretch, and it gets around problems like there not being any connection between the ink tank and the weapon's ink tank. It has been previously addressed or at least noted by devs that yeah, there IS no tube between the ink tank and weapon, so I doubt it's something that was left out just because it would get in the way during gameplay. a lot of weapons are designed in a way where theres nowhere that a tube would intuitively go, and stuff like the dualies wouldn't even work with a tube because you would get tangled

however there is also like, a singular passage in Haikarawalker saying that the ink tank connects to the weapon with a tube. NINTENDO, WHERE IS THE FREAKING TUBE? SHOW IT TO ME. there IS NO TUBE. i made a whole post before about how ink tanks might not collect ink from the inklings and directly dump it to the weapons, but in fact collect ink from the inklings to redistribute it and make sure you never REALLY run out of ink. because through the stuff i collected for that post and looked through, it is SO HEAVILY IMPLIED to be the case, (AND THIS WAS BEFORE THEY EXPLICITLY STATED IN THE SPLATOON 3 ART BOOK THAT YOU CAN DRINK THE INK IF YOU GET THIRSTY! FROM THE INK TANK!) what with ink refills being rodent drink bottles, like almost every ink tank being a sports water bottle or now a hydration pack, or an actual Just A Plastic Bottle. theres clearly no fancy tech needed to have a Functional Ink Tank which means that whatever purpose they have is something that can be very easily achieved (container).

If you look at JUST the raw game and how things work you would probably simplify that the ink tanks collect ink from the inkling and it just magically teleports into the weapon's tank. Which, it would work if teleportation was real and they had like, linked teleport pads between the ink tank and the weapon's ink tank, but teleportation is not real and IIRC theres nothing that implies it in splatoon (besides special weapons only because they have never been explained, and special cans are a whole other damn thing). But like we know Inklings can drink the ink. I could make an easy assumption and say that Ink Tanks' purpose is to redistribute the ink from the body to the tank and when your ink production is slowed down, you need to just drink the tank. Which would take the ink back to your ink sac (which i hope has a different canal, like we do for the lungs and stomach) so it gets redistributed and you have weapon ammo again. But that ALSO doesn't really work because you're out of ink when the TANK is out of ink, which means the ink is literally being consumed As You Fire, instead of being saved as a backup that you can refill through. And it could be for game reasons but still noooo. just nooooo.

so the thing is every ink tank (Minus salmon run and some others) is designed so you can easily remove the cap and take a sip. So it's a thing you CAN do if you need to rehydrate desperately but i kinda feel like that would be limited to idk, external ink sources, because you'll run out of juice eventually. external ink sources like spawn points, or ink refills, et cetera. i'm not making much sense on this topic right now because my brain is scrambled egg right now on this topic and i really have no idea! just spitballing here! the canon material is EXTREMELY CONTRADICTORY! also going to address that in both splatoon 1 and 2, the ink tanks dont even CONNECT to the inklings in any way, they're just strapped onto the shoulder harness and in splatoon 2 it has a FREAKING UGH. ITS CLIPPED ON WITH A METAL CLIP. HOWEVERRR with the harness changing color with your ink (not really revolutionary in splatoon they have hats that do that it could mean nothing) and the fact they DID add a tube in splatoon 3, I'm not saying it's impossible that there would've been a tube if they designed those tanks now. so saying that there might be a tube still. theoretically. so they might very very theoretically connect.

but even in splatoon 3, the lifesavers in salmon run DO NOT connect and they seem to just be strapped on with rope. and WELL, salmon run gear is the whole reason im writing this right now, because the logic for ink going from the inklings' hands to the weapons - which works for every weapon theoretically - well. theres a Fucking Issue. Can You See It

ignoring that the entire outfit is extremely impractical for squid form and would not Fucking Work. THEY ARE WEARING GIGANTIC RUBBER GLOVES!!!! THERES NO LIQUID OF ANY KIND GOING THROUGH THOSE FREAKING THINGS!!!! in splatoon 3 it gets even worse because the gloves are LITERALLY FASTENED WITH LIKE, DUCT TAPE or something. so it's clearly meant to be liquid repellant. You might say "oh, well, maybe this just confirms the ink tank tube to weapon argument" and it literally doesnt even confirm that because 1. again no tube connecting the lifesaver to the inkling, and 2. no tube connecting the weapons to the ink tank, Again. (Inklings are also supposed to be able to use specials like Booyah Bomb and Splashdown in this gear, which involve emitting ink From Your Hands. but that's video games for you. im not even choosing to believe they have specials out there.)

We know Inklings CAN use weapons and especially special weapons without an ink tank. the ink tank simply prolonges the usage because it lets them use More Ink. I would say another way of refilling the ink tank of a weapon would be to literally spit ink into it, which is something inklings probably Can Do because every single other ink-using creature in Splatoon is shown to shoot ink from their mouths. however THAT doesn't really work because again, very few weapons have ink tanks that have caps or anything that could be easily accessed from the outside to fill them in that way

(rare example of a new weapon model that TOTALLY COULD be refilled like that. but the vast majority of weapons are designed with no ink tank cap, or any way to externally access the ink tank at all)

so like i doubt thats happening either. Even though that would absolutely work in salmon run because their face is not obstructed (which is kind of a weird choice considering they couldve easily just had hazmat suits or something and been immune to like almost everything). and the pipeline of the ink tank collecting ink from the skin, being able to drink it and spit it into the weapon/or use the nozzle of the ink tank to dump it into the weapon on the spot would be an efficient way to do it, probably, but no. also no tubes connecting weapons and ink tank still.

Ani and Ellie is such a fun dynamic throughout all the books, but at this point the lil group of the 4 girlies (ani, Saskia, Lottie, and Ellie) is so funny to me because literally all of them have something they arent telling the others, then jamie and raph are just watching tiredly at the side while the stratus kids are being functional i love them

Ramblings about God of War: Heimdall Addition!

Note: Heimdall won on the poll if you couldn't tell💀 I thought I would get no one voting on it but DAYUM I got like 20 votes what. Yeah,,, I hate Heimdall so much. He sucks so much. He SUCKS. I HATE HIM

☆ Heimdall: The product of the All Father ☆

Heimdall was an absolute arrogant, short citied, incredibly perceptive, JERK. All of these traits cause the downfall of Asgard. The worst part is he's the most sane of Odins sons. Why is he like this?

Odin is why he's like that. I think when Heimdall was way younger, he was being a jerk to someone because yk, kids. Odin should've corrected him and told him why it was wrong and what to do instead, but no. Odin never corrected anything Heimdall did unless it effected him directly. Actually, he encouraged the behavior. He thought it would be useful to him, for some reason.

Heimdall had so many opportunities to save himself in his final battle. But, his divine dignity couldn't handle defeat.

Kratos tried his hardest not to kill another god. He has been trying to change for Atreus. But then here comes Heimdall, tempting him to kill him. Kratos has pitied him enough to let him go without dying (correct me if I'm wrong, I havent played this part in a while) twice, but Heimdalls stupid little ego couldn't take the fact that he got pitied by the god killer.

Heimdall just kept pushing him. If he shut up for two seconds he would probably be alive for the next game. When Heimdall fell to Kratos for the first time, he was about to let him go. Heimdall said something that set him off, and he lost his arm for it. Kratos pitied, he went like oooooh no I'm attacking you again rinse and repeat two times until he dies.

Just an fyi: if he shut up he would be alive; if he was alive he could protect Asgard; if he could protect Asgard he would be able to protect his home, his pride and joy.

AND once he dies, he doesn't even get recognized for his long lasting loyalty to Asgard and Odin. ODIN DID NOT CARE AT ALL.

I mean, we all know he uses the poor guy like a lapdog. But AT LEAST some slight sadness or mourning for your dead son that just got his face bashed in to an unrecognizable bloody mess fighting for you.

But alas, all we got from him was "Heimdall is dead. Do you know anything about that?"

Not a slight bit of emotion. Factual. Interrogative. Quite literally a pawn in his little game. Not sad in the slightest.

No funeral, no condolences, no nothing. Atreus even said everyone hated him. Well, yeah. But even the most annoying jerks don't deserve this. Soooooooooooo yeah idk what else to say. In conclusion Heimdall sucks but he doesn't deserve what happened to him.

HI ATE!! (idk if ur older LMAO) im planning to write a fanfic! slayyyy, ive never wrote anything before, im an artist, i draw stuff, but my artworks arent that entertaining to post i guess? so i wanted to know if you had any writing tips that you could give! ty if you ever decide to reply to this!

HI OMG I'M SO PROUD <:DDD i'm looking forward to your fics, and as for tips, here's some i hope would be helpful :DD

write what you know/are familiar with most to start. writing can start to feel more fun, in my experience, when you're writing about things you understand or (also like me) are delulu and imagine a lot about :D

don't hinder your imagination if it serves the plot. fantasizing about where your plot will go is actually super helpful, and very fun! i do recommend not to add fillers though if they don't have any impact on the story, like side plots that go nowhere or random dialogue that doesn't serve any purpose to further the story or the characters' motivations ^^

liven your vocabulary. like many other authors here, i find it generally more pleasing to have more unique and plentiful ways on how to describe a characters' actions or thoughts, even describing parts on a character can be worded in longer or more unique ways! don't confuse it too much though, and i suggest not to use the same word twice when it's just been mentioned--maybe after a paragraph or two can you mention it again ^^

develop your style. like in art, writers have their own styles of writing, for example, mine is usually very descriptive and thought-provoking (wow ang yabang ni ate girl) and usually, i'll focus on the dialogue and description of the situation and story, so generally, my works are a little longer than i expect them to be ^^ you don't have to copy other writers' styles to get better though, what you can do is draw inspiration from them and ask yourself 'what is it i want my story to have?' you can try experimenting with dialogue, scenery descriptions, character descriptions, flashbacks, narration--keep trying, and you'll get to where you want to be eventually :DD

ask for feedback. this is one of the most important tips i have, because reaching out to a bigger audience about your work will help you see where your strengths and weaknesses lie. getting opinions from other people can help you accommodate many others into your works, too, through their suggestions and criticisms ^^

take breaks. this, i struggle with, so i'm kind of hypocritical for suggesting this :'D but if you ever feel like you're stuck in a certain point in the story or that you have to rush to post a story, please don't force yourself to finish it and rush, you might have a lot of regrets about the final product 😭😭😭take time to think about yourself first, then your story <:)

i draw, and i love drawing, creating characters, and colouring them in with paint and coloured pencils and markers! i havent really experimented with much else than acrylic, guache and watercolour paint, and painting makes me a little bit stressed sometimes, but when im in the right mood i do enjoy it! (i really love drawing tho, my sketchbook & pencils are some of my favourite things)

i also love musical theatre if u count that as art! ive been in two productions so far, and currently doing shows for my second one!

i play the piano (i told u about that!) and also love playing accoustic guitar 🎶 im really passionate about music, its my lifeline along with reading books, which connects to my next point!

i ABSOLUTELY LOVE BOOKS AHHHHHH i love reading books, buying books, looking at books, talking about books omg

i read 3 or 4 books per week (if im not too busy) and the bookshelves in my room are stuffed i own over 200 books...

my fave series (my comfort reads): keeper of the lost cities, nevermoor, wings of fire, the small spaces quartet , the stella montgomery intrigue, the rosewood chronicles, a pinch of magic series, miss peregrine's peculiar children (only books 1-3 though i dont like 4-6 because jacob becomes an idiot imo), heartstopper

my fave books: the lucky list, six times we almost kissed, the seven husbands of evelyn hugo, the secret garden, little women, alex, approximately and so many others

i love movies & tv shows! some i like are: pirates of the carribean 1&2 (will turner & elizabeth swann are SO PERFECT AHHHHHH), heartstopper (literally the most wholesome thing ever created), enola holmes 1&2, the parent trap (the lindsay lohan one), the owl house, she ra, wednesday, alexa & katie, tangled, frozen II, the dragon prince, alice through the looking glass

ive yet to finish an art project since december bc ive been so down abt my work. im startjng to feel like a one trick pony, like i can only make one good art im proud of and never again. each type i set out to make something it just doesn't turn out good so i delete it and start again and rinse and repeat. its nice to know that its not just me who feels this way

baby you are NOT alone!! at a time where most of the art we consume is through the norms of social media it can be so hard to remember that art is not just about making a good 'finished product' and that your value as an artist isn't about your work looking like those of the people you see with thousands of followers. feeling proud of your work comes from feeling proud of yourself. i have so many pieces that objectively are Not good but i feel filled with so much love when i look at them because i remember how happy i was while creating it. but then i have pieces that have gotten thousands of reblogs but i physically cannot bring myself to look at them for too long because while i was drawing it i was constantly thinking about whether it will look good, whether it will fit the idea i had in my head, etc. etc.

I don't know if it's any consolation to hear this, but the feelings triggered in you when you see a result you don't like are not concrete nor are they a true depiction of who you are. you are a wonderful, skilled, creative artist and i can say this to you without knowing who you are and knowing your work because to be that kind of person is to think you are that kind of person. the more you tell yourself not to be nervous about your art not turning out good and focus on creating the things that make you feel joy with confidence, the more your art WILL start to look good, i promise.

i wanted to share some examples with my own art and my feelings about it so if you're not interested don't worry qjkskw im just putting it under here

i think this was my most reblogged piece in 2022 but i dont think ive seen it closeup since then because it does not make me feel good when i look at it. when i sat down to draw this i was so stressed about making it look a certain way. i was trying to use all this technical knowledge like forumlas to make it look 'perfect' but at the end it just felt like a drawing that wasn't even mine. i do like the sky a lot though because painting skies like that have always made me feel really happy.

same situation with this piece. i had the vague idea in my head but it felt like i had to make it a chore to make sure it looked good. i kept trying to find the 'perfect' references and trying to copy tutorials id seen about anatomy to force it to look good but again this just doesn't feel like my art because i think so much of it came from what i thought i shouldve been doing rather than what felt good. it felt like i was trying to prove myself

i did this in an hour and a half and i thought it was going to be a warmup ahkdka. i completely switched off my brain while i did this. i loved this pose from ikari gozen and so i sketched it out really fast in a way that felt so. easy? natural? the rest of the details sort of just fell into place. that's not to say i didnt try to use the same techniques that i did for the other two, but this time i trusted that those techniques that i learned would naturally come to me while i worked while i had the end result in my mind. when i look at this piece i just remember how intuitive the process felt, how i would zoom out of the canvas and look at it and think 'omg wait what if i try that thing i saw on that youtube tutorial...' and how i wasnt trying to prove to myself this was a good drawing, but for the way i felt natural and happy prove it to me instead

this one too ❤️ i have improved my anatomy a lot since this piece but i still use it on all my portfolios and commission examples because it feels like such a good depiction of how i want MY art to feel to me when i see it. i love ladynoir so much and i love oblivio so much and that's genuinely all i was thinking about while drawing this. i didn't want to make it perfect, i just had a vague image of what i wanted it to be like in my head but i was just so excited to be doing oblivio art that i totally forgot about stressing about everything else and just let the brainrot power me HDKDKA. the process was so messy but it felt a lot like solving a puzzle, you know? i didnt need to force any techniques onto it to make it look good because i trusted that the image would already be there, i just needed to find it

I realised last week that a lot of my issues may relate to the fact that my body never knows when sleep/food/waking up is gonna happen. cause Ive never had a schedule in my life. and I keep taking ritalin late at night

I feel a lot better.. though I don't like that I crash so hard in the evening and I feel less productive somehow?? like I get tired in the evening and can't do anything. can't take ritalin and read or whatever lol. I'm thinking maybe I have to push myself to make simple art in the hours between dinner and sleep, so im not on my phone, bc the biggest issue for me is lack of focus. it's hard to find something to do other than scroll when ur brain can't muster focus for anything
