i love your older designs for hdl from dt17!!! they're so skrunkly and feel so in character but i have to ask , do you have any hcs for older webby? (　＾ω＾)

thank you, anon!! webby is kind of tough for me to design – partly because i'm tripletpilled at heart and focus mostly on them lol, but also because the finale gives us a LOT of new info about webby, which makes her post-canon development more murky to me. not sure what to make of her future...

still, here are some sketches ^__^ design thoughts under the cut (spoiler warning for finale)

the visual design reflects the character, and generally, i feel there are so many places you could take webby after the finale, which makes it very difficult to pin down a look! does she lean into the Wanting To Be Like Scrooge thing even harder for a while, or does knowing her relation to him complicate her feelings about that? now that questions about her past are answered, what is her next step/adventure, and what might she pursue as a teenager developing interests outside of the family/home? how does that affect her style or identity? how do her friendships with lena and violet or may and june help her evolve? this requires ironing out how i think lena, violet, may, and june would develop too, which is a lot of work...

i really like pre-finale webby so, self-indulgently (and somewhat lazily), my headcanon designs mostly stick with how she's been represented in the show, with some nods to her new knowledge about her parentage. for now, i am not touching the rest of the questions i asked above... i'm approaching it from as purely visual a perspective as possible......... o(—(

i really like canon webby's short hair... i'm a short hair truther!!

instead of giving her scrooge's "cheek fluff", i made her "hair" sort of imitate the cheek fluff. i don't think it's meant to be cheek fluff anyway... classically, it seems to be scrooge's hair? i gave her his little cowlick as well.

i gave her teen design two bows, but i don't know if that's overkill. would teens like bows that much?? i am no longer a teen, so.

subtle references to her parental figures: the gem on her bowtie is like beakley's, and the dark trim on her outerwear is like scrooge. the blue + reddish color scheme of the cardigan is also meant to resemble 87!scrooge's coat.

i forgot to add this in, but it would be cute if webby accessorized her cardigan with little pins or patches, since she's very creative and decorates her notebook cutely :)

the unasked-for 20s/30s webby... i actually drew this version before the teen one! she keeps the gem and the dark trim, but her hair is a little more stylishly messy (vs. messy because she is a teenager) and the accessories are a bit more mature.

finally, a non-design headcanon: i think webby would be a good rollerskater. if you read this far, thank you LOL

Another Amazing AU

I never know what to write here… so let's get straight to the point then. A while back I found another amazing AU that belongs to @chez-cinnamon and I liked it … a lot.

And as always, If I liked something, I can't just be normal about it and comment something nice, I had to draw something. Long story short, first sketches were terrible, that took me on a long trip of re-learning some things and learning a couple new things. Overall, making these drawings was one looong roller coaster.

And as always . . . THAT LITTLE YELLOW SON OF A GUN WAS PUSHING ME TO DRAW THE MAIN 6 HE LIKES SO MUCH. So this time I gave him a camera and made HIM do all the work. Let's see how it went.

In the end I want to say that I love what you did with these characters and I'm sorry if i messed up any of them.

And If you want to read a bit of my rambling about this whole drawing process It's all down there. Just be aware that I write these things mostly for myself.

When I did the first sketch I realized that my old method of drawing poses (which was just sticks and orbs) won't work here. So i started to learn and re-learn some basics, and I tried to remake those sketches at the same time.

In the end there were like 5 different sketches for each character and to be honest, I was really close to just throwing it all out the window because it felt like i was going nowhere. But I found the problem.

My brain just couldn't comprehend that REFERENCE is just a REFERENCE not a fucking guideline that you have to hold on to for your dear life. It's okay to mess up here and there and that no-one is going to kill me for that. And when that thought clicked in, it felt amazing. I finished sketches, then lineart, heck I even drew all these in-betweens with Valdi (that yellow potat).

And then there was time for coloring . . . and that fear of messing up came back. That's why there's not much going on in that department. I'll keep working on fixing that, but it might take a while. And these backgrounds were a complete experiment. I'm not even sure myself if they're any good.

All of this felt like I threw myself in the deep water, but somehow I did it and I'm really glad all of this happened. Comparing these to my previous ones, I really see some improvement, and I did these MUCH faster. Even counting in all the learning i did. (plus building up courage to post these)

I still wish these drawings turned out better, the lines feel stiff, there's nothing to interesting in terms of colors or shading, but even with all that, for the first time in a while I think that these drawings aren't that bad.

And now for the AU. Why this one? I just stumbled upon it one day and I really liked the idea of switching up the one who controls the whole circus. And all those changes to the characters, their style, the clothes, colors and all those little details, I just love everything about that AU. All these characters feel really calming/relaxing to draw If these are the right words to use. (I really hope it doesn't sound too weird) I don't know if I would've learnt the things I did if I didn't find that AU.

So I want to say THANK YOU @chez-cinnamon for creating an Awesome AU and all these Beautiful drawings, and for giving me that bit of inspiration I needed.

If anyone decided to read all that and somehow survived, know that I'm sorry if all of that looks like bunch of random thoughts cobbled together (I bet that my english didn't make this any easier) As I said earlier, I write these thing mostly for myself so I can come back and read them in the future (It just helps me sometimes).

sonic au/fan story? Where Sonic lost his superspeed and Shadow met other Sonic and his friends in a parallel universe

I’ll drop some sketches here because why not

Girl on the first pic is my fan character, Verse the Hedgehog, her full name is Verse O’Tyle. Sonic reminds Verse of her siblings in a way, and I like to imagine them both chilling somewhere on a hill.

She is a “chill girl surrounded by chaos” - and chaos is her crazy af family. Her siblings are on a third pic: brother Leaph and cousin Snowflake. Leaph loves jumping, he leaps high as possible, and hides in a trees, causing Verse to search for him for hours lol. And Snowflake is overall quiet girl, shy and cute. Her quills are too soft which hurts a lot, that’s why she only wears gloves and really soft shoes. Snowflake usually just follows Leaph everywhere. There is also Verse’s mother and uncle but I got no pics of them yet

Shadow the Hedgehog

So the whole AU idea is that chaos energy around has risen, because of it an accident has happened with Sonic, and Shadow and Sonic had a brief fight during which all the negative emotions and stuff snapped Shadow’s inhibitor rings. It’s a REALLY long story short because there is more details to it.

but basically it caused all the Shadow’s energy go inside-out and this “Raw Chaos Energy” was still living in the past, unconsciously twisting everything around, and blaming everyone around (aka Sonic and his friends) for Maria’s death. Realising she was long dæd Raw Energy bends space-time to save her. This creates a parallel universe, where past!Shadow now has some of the “flashes” of future events with Maria’s and using it to save her. Also this form is like SUPER STRONG and the only reason Sonic survived it because before that Master Emerald had transferred some of its power to Knuckles just for a brief moment

so here is a sketch of Emerald/Raw Energy Knuckles

Not gonna go with much details because I might change a lot of that, but the whole idea is that in parallel universe where Maria had survived (even if for a few more decades only) Sonic didn’t get his super speed. It’s kinda to balance whole world out, because Maria had influenced people in a good way while she was living her full life

ANYWAY

remember the flashes I mentioned earlier? Shadow also saw Sonic and the others in those “flashy events” but he has no idea who tf they are, and later on he will try to find them because he started to have more and more dreams about them

he never got blue because he never reach sonic speed and that’s why he is brown

I still didn’t pic a name for him, it makes sense for him to be Wendy (like a wind ig) but I don’t know how to make it unisex or something. I called him “Marcille” before because in Archie Comics he was called Maurice and I loved the way Marcille sounds lol

and yeah TRANS SONIC 🏳️‍⚧️🗣️🗣️ the original sonic is also trans but he is already comfortable with himself so

since sonic isn’t such a hero as he in a main universe, people here are way less united and there is more crime and bad people (mostly because people mistrust each other, so it’s not just about the super speed but specifically Sonic’s mentality)

and Amy in this universe is the one who tries to hold it all together, helping people by the cost of her own happiness

TAILS!!

No one even know the guy named Tails and to be fair he doesn’t even exist. Miles, however, does but he is not with the main squad - after all he was never saved from that village and was constantly bullied for his two tails

Can you guys tell what book I apparently really like?

I don’t think there’s a solid age he regresses down to, like consistently, I think it’s around the 2-5 mark, unless something happens or he’s feeling extremely distressed, then he regresses down younger. Which, in that case, means he HAS to have someone take care of him. Which is probably going to be Ford, he’s the only one he can really trust to care for him in the way he needs when he feels that young.

As for gear, it depends.

If Fiddleford is his caregiver (and even though this would be in the early 80s we are going to be anachronistic. This is fiction we can take liberties) then he’s getting at least one pacifier. Fidds probably made it for Stan so he doesn’t mess up his teeth even more, and he probably made it to have a cute little nickname spelled out. I like to think Fidds uses food/southern nicknames for Stanley when regressed, so think something like “Pumpkin” or “Junebug”. He does have his “Poindexter” plush that he’s had since he was 19, but Fidds does win him a really big Duck plush when the fair comes to Gravity Falls. He has some sippy cups because he has a tendency to tilt the cup all the way up and pour his drink all down his face and clothes. He really only has some footie pajamas for when it gets to be winter up there. It’s not easy to come by someone who will custom make clothes in gravity falls, especially nothing like the kind of clothes Stan wants. So he mostly settles for some softer clothing with fun designs and patterns. Nothing vibrant that’ll hurt his eyes. Sweats and grandma sweaters mostly. Fidds makes sure he has a lot of paper and coloring books with as many crayons and markers as he wants. He loves to color and draw. He also has some blocks, a lite brite for when the lights needs to be off so his eyes can rest, play doh, and fighting robots to name a few. He has a few story books that Fidds will read to him. Fidds wants to spoil him, but he knows that he can’t buy Stan everything he wants to, so he does what he can (for now…)

If Ford is his caregiver (we’re doing Grunkle Ford for now) then he is going to do his best to spoil Stan with all he wants as much as possible. From buying stuff online (the internet is marvelous!) to making/inventing it. Ford’s got Stan enough pacifiers stashed around the ship and later shack to have a different one every day. He’s getting Stan sippy cups of all kinds of patterns and designs. it’s easier than cups for him if he’s got dentures since he likes to take those out. He’s got one bottle for the times he’s feeling extra small. He’s got some nice and warm footie pajamas for when they’re in the Arctic, and some lighter ones for more general use-sometimes his brother just needs a lazy day where he can wear what’s basically pajamas. Those kinds of footies are going to be the kind that are animal themed with the ears and tails-Ford thinks they’re so cute. He’s also got some nautical themes pajama sets for the summers spent in Gravity Falls. That’s not even accounting for all the soft handmade sweaters Stan’s got from Mabel that he wears-his favorite having dinos on it-and the soft pants and shorts he feels more comfortable wearing now that his secrets out in the open. I’ve already mentioned Poindexter, that’s a staple for any kind of regressed Stanley, and I mentioned in a few posts Shanklin 2, the stuffed Opposum Ford gets Stan after finding out he’s barely got any Little stuff. He will give Stan all the toys he had back in Jersey and all the toys he’s ever wanted. Legos, blocks, slinkies, playdoh, etch n sketches, fighting robots, hard to break tea sets, coloring books, fancy crayons (This is art, it deserves the best!), anything Stan looks twice at really. He goes a bit overboard, but he’s just trying to make up for all the years he’s missed out on. Also Goodnight Moon, can’t forget that book. That’s Stan’s favorite out of the multitude of books Ford reads to him.

Now if it’s just Stan regressing by himself? He only allows himself the bare minimum. He has Poindexter, an old onesie he allowed himself to buy a few years beforehand, and old and worn pacifier, some crayons, coloring books, blank paper, Ford’s old coat that he likes to wrap around himself when he misses him, a sippy cup, and Goodnight Moon. He feels guilty letting himself indulge. He feels ashamed to be acting like that, a child, to be needing his paci and sippy cup, even in the privacy of his own home, even though he can’t help it. So without anyone there to tell him it’s okay, he doesn’t allow himself to indulge or to spoil himself like he is when he’s being taken care of.

IT'S STRINGLESS' 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY (+ early concept art compilation)

Posting this dumbass little video to start off the day since we have a lot of little gifts for our awesome community today.

One of those things is something i've been wanting to do for a very long while: posting a lot of the original concept art for stringless (since ive always enjoyed seeing other people's early concepts) some of these i have posted massively before, some are completely unseen, so it'll be fun

This one is the page that started it all, his design is at the same time largely unchanged and also completely different

All i have to say is that it originally said (regarding spamton and swatch) "they bicker like an old married couple" but then i thought about it and i changed it so theyre literally just married

Didnt mean to make swatchton, made it anyway lmfao

Right after that, i got working on neo designs, I wanted to make him really scary looking, the original concept was to make him look skeletal and generally for him to look insane and like he had been reanimated from the dead, but a lot of people had told me over time that they didn't really like the design, I was very defensive over it but I ended up taking criticism and i actually really like the new neo, it balances the uncanniness of the original design with the sleekness of my new art

Payton was a natural next step, without someone to sell the thorn ring there'd be no neo, so although his design visually stayed almost the same, he went through a lot of color revisions (thanks mostly to @maskedalterego, who helped me to nail his final color palette), he suggested the gloves, and helped me to balance the saturation of the design since really I've never had a good eye for color.

His final design, color wise, was just me experimenting using the colors of my sona at the time on him, which I was hesitant to do but was so happy with the palette that I kept it.

It's interesting that he was originally intended to be the pink addison (since he sells one of the snowgrave required rings), and the reason he ended up being the blue addison was corey beepington (and the eviction notice short which I have taken one too many concepts from), this still influenced me to make his outfit pink initially, which still is a huge part of his character design

That exact same night, I created concept art for Raster (weirdly, I was sure I created them before Payton, but it might be because I was generally uninterested in Payton earlier on), their design is also largely unchanged, I just got better with shapes and color, I also ended up changing their cheek markings after seeing some swatchton fanchild art by ne0nbandit

A first until now, the first concepts for payton neo were made on paper

I took very long on this design, and I only updated it every few weeks to make tweaks because I felt the concept was too good but my execution didnt make it justice

I'm very proud of how the design looks now, as of the latest neo redesigns, I feel I could finally make this idea justice

Swatch's design went through some last minute changes, I wanted to use this color palette for swatch to contrast with spamton, but decided against it, then i changed their hair to be longer, to make their Stringless design distinct from their regular Deltarune design

Historically, these two are pretty important, the first pieces of art I ever made featuring Rakhin's old design, when he wasn't part of stringless and I was just befriending rope (he made me Payton fanart first, fell in love with his style), the contrast is beautiful

Now to finish this post, here's some unseen Snowgrave route art I made over the time Stringless has been in development, they're all pretty quick sketches, but i love them nonetheless

Thanks everyone for the insane reception this AU has gotten, I haven't been feeling very good this whole year for a huge amount of reasons I can't get into, but Stringless and its community always helps me to remember why I do the things I do

The Gallery Wall pt 2: electric boogaloo The Yap Post

DISCLAIMER: I read this book once and almost a year ago. I tried my very best to refresh my memory through various ways, but really I should just read it again.

I tried to keep everything as book accurate as possible, but if I skipped over stuff then that's probably why. I plan to make more fanart in the future, so I'll keep any corrections in mind for the future.

That being said, I want to get into some of the inspiration and thoughts behind my designs for the Greek class.

A general critique I have for people's designs for all the characters is that they exist in a sort of time period-less void. We know the story is set in the 80's, yet that style is not explored very much. I don't know if this is because people easily associate the 80's with neon colors and other garish aesthetics that feel like a total opposite of the ambiance of this novel. However that's not an accurate portrayal of what a lot of 'normal' people were wearing during that time.

Despite the Greek class being maybe slightly old fashioned in an old money sort of way I don't believe they would totally disregard the trends of the time.

Camilla

Camilla quite suits the 80's. The trend of pastel clothing is in line with Donna's description of the twins wearing mostly white or other light colors.

I'm not necessarily opposed to the Camilla with a bob agenda, but there were more than enough icons in the 80's that were rocking a pixie cut adjacent hairstyles for me to go even shorter. I ended up going with Molly Ringwald for my main source of inspiration hairstyle wise. The curls add to the angelic description.

Longer hair than a bob is out of the question. I find it a kind of weird design choice. Sometimes it comes off to me as if people can only view Camilla as either a tomboy or very femme. I'm a firm believer that short hair is neutral and doesn't necessarily lean toward masculine looking. It's all about styling and Camilla certainly seems to like feminine things.

I imagine her to be slightly boyish looking, because she resembles her brother. I sketched them at the same time to ensure they would resemble each other, not having one particular refence in mind. Ironically I think my earlier versions resemble each other more than my final versions. Charles' design felt lackluster however so I redid it.

Charles

Originally I wanted to give Francis Wham era George Michael hair, but then I read his description again. However Charles is a sort of popular attractive man for the time period, so why would he not have big hair. Thus the transfer was made. This did have as a consequence that in some stages of the process he very heavily resembled princess Diana. I thought that was quite funny.

For Charles I did the opposite of what I did with Camilla. For Camilla I made sure she was pretty in a bit of a boyish way, so for Charles I made sure he didn't turn out too masculine. We don't want Chad Charles.

Francis

Here I'm starting to doubt myself a little bit. A lot of people draw Francis with slightly longer hair, but compared to Camilla he doesn't get any people complaining. I might have missed a passage somewhere, but I also like the idea that my interpretation is just different from others.

When I decided for myself I was going to give him very short hair I knew I had to draw some inspiration from Annie Lennox. She's obviously very fashionable, as is Francis, and known for wearing suits. I had to tweak the design to be more classical and to include a necktie. He feels very maximalist, so on top of his described pince-nez glasses I drew him with an earring and a bunch of brooches.

As for the make-up I know he'd get hate crimed on campus, but it's a fun thing to imagine. Although I left it out of the final design for that reason.

I don't mind Evgeniy Shvarts as a fancast. I think he has similar facial features to what I had imagined.

Henry

Henry is often designed too skinny and/or too conventionally attractive. It's a difficult balance to keep him looking severe and off putting enough, but also broad enough and almost handsome. One thing is for certain that man doesn't give a flying fuck about what currently in style. I haven't been able to figure out if those 'English suits' have a particular cut in that time, but I can't imagine him walking around in an 80's oversized suit with big shoulder pads. However not a tight 70's suit either, so take that as you will.

I'm not too mad at Zane Holtz as a fancast. He's certainly broad enough, but I find him to be too conventionally attractive. However it's a lot better than some others I've seen. I also don't believe him to wear his hair like that. Not a lot of people notice his scar, so that leads me to believe it's at least partially covered by his hair.

I ended up giving him browline glasses, because I thought if I ever did end up drawing Bunny them having different glasses would set them apart more design wise. However after I finished the drawing I saw that passage that says he has the same wire frame glasses that bunny has. I like that the browline glasses make him look even more stern, but if we were to go for accuracy I'd have to change it.

Richard

Richard was the hardest for me to design and honestly I still don't know what I imagine his facial features to be. All I knew was that I wanted him to have a fuck ass haircut. He seems like the sort of dude that hasn't changed his hair in years. The only thing that's changed is that his mom used to cut it and now he does it himself. That's how I landed on a late 70's, Beatle-esque mop that's in a constant state of being slightly too long. He's somehow handsome enough to pull it off though, much to his own confusion I imagine.

He's wearing a sweatshirt that is noticeably less formal than the others. Paired with that tweed jacket he borrowed from Judy Poovey.

General

I'm going to be honest I didn't have a particular idea behind the strip of light besides that the drawing would be too boring without some interesting lighting.

Rapid fire composition choices:

Henry's portrait is greyscale and his frame features a rose to give the whole thing an in memoriam feel

His portrait is bigger and in the top corner to make it feel like he is looming over the rest

Francis' portrait looks more like a painting than a portrait photo to compliment his classic style

The obvious stain where another portrait used to be. His presence can't be completely erased by that and the little frame featuring bunnies still being on the wall

Richard's photo is sun bleached and slightly damaged. Like he either took it with him from home and they never bothered to replace it or the rest of the group just didn't care enough to be gentle with it.

That's also the reason why his is the smallest portrait and is placed in the corner.

Hello! I really love how you make your fantasy species look a good mix of "human" and "animal" looking. May I ask, if you're going to make a elf like fantasy race of lemurs, how would you go about it while keeping their Elfish traits?

where to begin with creature design

I'm gonna go with a ring tailed lemur for this example, because they're fun.

when I use specific animals as a basis for fantasy people, I try to focus on their most unique and iconic traits. here, I'll definitely be keeping the striped tail and bright orange eyes, and I might give the lemur elves face paint to mimic the facial markings on the lemurs. I'll also be keeping the unusual foot shape.

now, if you just want like, an anthro lemur, you just apply some humanoid traits like bipedalism, expressive eyebrows, and clothing. a classic furry character. but if you're trying to make an elf out of a lemur, you need to know what people expect when they see the word "elf" and apply those details while retaining the unique lemur traits. This process, for me, usually just involves a lot of doodles! sketch things out until you're happy. it might look too much like a lemur at first, or too much like a human, and then of course you need to decide how much fur you want to add because more fur = less human-like, and a lack of fur might ruin the lemur details. also whether you want to add more human-like hair or just stick with the short fur.

here are my initial sketches for a lemur elf, and I think it helps that my own elf designs are already tailed primates, so I'm used to drawing elves with similar proportions!

Some explanations on the drawing itself! But for short it explains that i added more jewels, more colors in his skin, added bioluminescence, changed the beard and lenght of the hair. That's basically it.

Here is what death feels like:

It is agony. Death makes a home in the spaces of your ribcage, winds around the walls of your chest, and roots itself into the skin on your bones. It is a memory, it is a pull, it is an emptiness that seems as vast as the sea.

Death isn't an absence, it's a remembrance.

Odysseus is dead. Or he isn't. We don't truly know when he makes the transition from living to dead, from breathing to still. One moment, his heart beat in time with the world and the gods, and then it stopped, and that was that. He will tell you otherwise, and you must believe it. After all, a corpse does not move. He is right. Odysseus is an anomaly. He isn't right.

We do not know how or when or why. The people who might have known are now long gone, sunk somewhere on the ocean floor, and the only one alive to testify thinks himself a living man. See, it isn't really important though, is it? He was alive, and now he's dead. Or perhaps he is neither, perhaps he's something much worse.

The damned man drifts at sea, and water flows through his bones and down his throat. He chokes on it. Salt clings to necrotic skin. His gaze is dull, his eyes sunken. He has them pointed on a single spot in the horizon, doggedly leaning forward as if it could propel him faster homeward. It doesn't, and he's a fool to think so, but it soothes him.

His tongue is rough and rimmed with salt. There is blood under his finger tips, so dark it looks like tar.

He prays. Silly, the gods don't listen to the dead.

An island appears from the mist. It looks too good to be true. Ah well, it's not like you have anything to lose.

Here is what death looks like:

He looks like a shade, like a monster, like a corpse. His skin is pale under his cloak, his eyes hooded in shadow, his cheek sunken. In the light, all you can see is teeth. His legs are red with blood and it's the only color to paint him. The courtyard is littered with the body of the dead, eyes open in screams that will never sound. Twelve nooses are pulled taut underneath the trees, white feet swaying in the wind.

Death walks among them, and he smiles.

Here is death:

He lives in Ithaca, nestled in its heart. He is a haunting, he is a ghost.

The king is home. This is cause for celebration. Music rings through the kingdom for seven days straight.

The queen and the prince attend the festivities. They are withdrawn but happy. The kind is nowhere to be seen, but that is to be expected. He's had a long journey.

There is talk, once a month passes by. They rarely see him, and when he makes an appearance, his hair is drawn and wild. His himation is pulled close around him. His fingers are bony and thin. He does not look well. There is talk.

The servants gossip, when the royal family do not listen. They speak of the walls, of the smell of rot that followed the damned man home. It grows too strong to stomach. They've taken to hanging mint and herbs to try and cover it up.

Water seeps through the cracks in the walls. The floors are constantly slick with water. Puddles pool in the stone.

The queen only smiles and waves away their questions. The prince is not so merciful. Any rumors are nipped at their source. There is a coldness to him. It is strangely close to fear.

The king is nowhere to be seen. Somehow, this was the most familiar.

Here is where death goes to die:

An oar, a winnowing fan, a sacrifice. He kneels and pushes the oar into the soil, whispers a prayer through cracked lips.

He does not get back up again.

I have my small little sketch ideas for Sugarglass Cookie!!

They’re all fairly different and pretty much REALLY rough drafts for how I’d imagine them. I’ll also describe them better here in case you can’t understand my horrid writing (it’s been so hard ever since my pen broke 😔)

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT:

1 . Gives off more pure and wholesome vibes, but is actually pretty manipulative using her childish looks (similar to how cloud haetae cookie was cutesy and nice at first before showing her true colors). She has large beads (frog eggs?? or just regular large beads) around her neck that depicts her emotions (ex. Smiley when happy, frowns when sad, you get the idea). Just above her dress (small frill/ruffle sleeves and straight dress) you can see she has another shade as her “underbelly” like how some frogs do. This also applies to the palms of her hands and bottom of feet/inner legs. And of course, the part that makes it a Glassfrog she is semi-transparent and has freckles on her face/shoulders (maybe back too) to depict their spots. Give her frog eyes (of course) and I was thinking of making her hair two buns in the back to give “fake eyes” kinda look. Normal cookie mouth, and her color palette will likely consist greens, blues, and yellows

2 . Honestly I have very little idea what to do with him, I kind of hate this design. But hey, still putting it out there in case I change my mind. Has short wavy hair with a dyed “dots”, he’s mostly just a lazy cookie who doesn’t care/isn’t fazed by much (the only one that can get him to do anything is eternal sugar, and even then he’ll try and get out of it). Again, frog eyes and transparent skin of course, normal cookie mouth, and different tones underbelly. I had to think long and hard for his outfit and the best I could come up with was something like the Greek God Hermes (gold and white simplistic robe, mini wings on either side of head) because it felt somewhat close to eternal sugar’s design. To make them match a bit more too though, I added a bow to his back that would be pinkish with dots (like a Glassfrog’s back) to give “fake eyes” look. I thought small heart shaped eyebrows would be pretty cute too since eternal sugar also has hearts in her design. Color palette would consist of white, golds, pink, greens and yellows

3 . They’re probably my favorite one. With no distinct gender, they are just a chill guy™. Loves to laze about but don’t be fooled by their relaxed nature (like poison mushroom cookie) ! Leaned a lot more into the frog look, giving them a frog mouth, eyes, transparent, different toned underbelly, and the lil finger balls (they have “sticky fingers” hehe). Their clothing (just a simple white robe) is cherub inspired, which I think really goes well with eternal sugar’s angel wings/halo and devil tail look. Their hair is big ball braids along the top of the head (not sure how long I’ll make it) as a glassfrog’s spots. Which, they’ll also have “freckle” spots on its shoulders and back too. Color palette would consist of pinks, greens, white, and yellows

4 . Is probably the one I’m most neutral (?) about. She’s a child, raised by eternal sugar herself. Instead of being lazy or deceitful, she’s much more curious but very shy. Being raised by eternal sugar since she was an egg, she was manipulated instead by her master and is why she’s much different from the rest of the ideas (how different? Not very sure, we need more about eternal sugar until I know). Just as loyal of course, if not the most loyal. Could probably jump the highest, ribbits nervously when she’s being untruthful (she’s very bad at being bad). Like the rest, she has a frog mouth, eyes, transparent body, and different toned underbelly. I figured she looks cutest with very curly/afro-like hair?? Idk why, just fits her I guess. Her dress is a lil simple one with dots (like a Glassfrog’s spots) all over. Since she’s very young still, she still has a very tiny tadpole tail that barely peeks out. Her color palette would consist of greens, yellows, blues, and a bit of browns

Prompt: Viktor being really into bird watching and taking Jayce along on one of his bird watching walks.

"Jayce, look!"

Just as he follows the point, a quick blur, blue and white, moves a few feet overhead, landing on a branch nearby. It's pretty, mostly sky-colored feathers on the majority of it's body and grey-brown on it's stomach. It's chest is a warm orange-red. Pretty.

Stopping, he lets go of the handles of the chair and leans, eyes scanning the page below as Viktor's pen checks off a little box next to an image of the same exact bird.

"Eastern bluebird, Sialia sialis," Viktor says. "Thrush bird. Eats insects, fruits. They like to feed on the ground and make nests in carved-out places, like inside trees."

Viktor bookmarks the page in his book and closes it shut, dropping it to his lap and moving his hands to the wheels, turning. Jayce easily steps aside as he and Viktor move off the path just enough so they aren't blocking it, watching the bluebird hop around on a branch two feet overhead.

"It's really pretty," Jayce tells him. "Male?"

"Yes. You can always tell, the males are more colorful. They have to show off to the females for mating."

"This one is really bright," he replies. "Is it mating season? Will we see more?"

Viktor hums as he flips his book open again, finger going up and down the page as he looks for the information. Jayce waits patiently, reaching for his water bottle hooked to the back of Viktor's wheelchair, next to their canes. He doesn't need his right now, settled with just his brace, but Viktor needed his chair today.

They brought his cane too though, just incase.

"No," Viktor finally says. "Not for another two months. Apparently they can have more than one nest a year, interesting!"

Above, the bird whistles, short, then flies away. It blends in with the sky, all blue, no clouds. This little grassyland town is peaceful, quiet. Perfect. Without request, Jayce slides his water bottle back into his pack, and helps Viktor to turn back around to the path. For his efforts, Viktor turns, reaching up a hand to drag Jayce's face down into a soft kiss.

"Thank you," he says. "For everything."

"You're welcome." Jayce pecks another kiss before stretching up, hands tight on the handles as they move. "Come on. Lets go see what other birds we can find. I want to see a flamingo."

Viktor's laugh is soft, snorty as they move.

"Jayce, you know they don't live here."

"Fine. Peacock."

"Nope!"

"Duck?"

"What kind? There are more than twenty."

"Barn owl?"

"We have one in our barn right now. You named her."

"Oh yeah. Cardinal? My Mama loves those. I want to send her a sketch, they don't live in Piltover."

Viktor's hand comes back, over his own shoulder, and presses against Jayce's hand on the handle.

"That," he says, softly. "I believe I can help you there. Cardinals do nest in this environment. I very much believe we can find one. Did you bring you sketchbook?"

"Of course."

"Then lets go find you your Cardinal."

Jayce, with not much else to say but I Love You, leans, and presses a long kiss to the top of Viktor's head as he pushes his partner down the smooth, paved path.

He never thought he'd love bird watching this much.

Crossover - Minish AU

You are the strangest mouse Moon has ever seen. My brain after watching one episode of Zelda The Minish Cap on Youtube - and gosh do I still love this game even after all these years - was like: "What if the DCA would find a tiny Y/N? Maybe a Burrower from the movie The Burrowers or Arrietty. Or just straight up a Minish from the game itself." And with that a Minish it was.

Y/N who had settled down inside the Pizza Plex was still fairly new to the area when he was found one month after his arrival by Moon who at first glance had thought he had seen a mouse scurrying around. Since that would have been quiet troublesome, because of the health code regulations inside the daycare he catched the little thing. Just to find out that you were not a mouse at all. Luckily for you Moon and Sun where both pretty nice once you talked with them about your situation and that you would stay hidden during the opening hours.

Sun really adores you. You are pretty much the cutest little thing he has ever seen and he will constantly call you his Little Friend. He will also carry you around and lift you up to places that you can't reach by yourself. It's a lot of fun for you to freely explore the daycare with them after closing time.

Moon playfully teases you sometimes. Calling you Little Thief when you take some lost items or other things with you. Nothing big. A pretty button, a few scraps of the colorful paper that where lying around or the stub of a pencil that was already too short to use for the children. Even while he teases you he won't stop you from taking those things.

With time passing by you might even become friends with some of the Mini Music Men that run around the vents and follow you around sometimes.

Also I thought about the fact that there are different kinds of Minish in the game and manga soooo... take your pick. You can be a forest Minish, a mountain Minish or one of the town Minish. (I myself am just a really big fan of the forest Minish. But they are all really cute.)

It's also a lot of fun to imagine how it would be for Y/N to explore the Pizza Plex as such a tiny being. Mostly going on with their own buisness just to make themself at home there while becoming closer with the Sun and Moon. The AU could be fully just cute and silly comforting vibes or even go in the direction where you witness the events from the game unfolding over time. How would a small Minish like you be able to help your friends to get ride from the glitch? Could you sneak around to find out what's going on? But how much can you do when you are so small? It could be fairly dangerous for you. Well I think I have rambled enough for now. Hope you enjoyed the ideas and sketches for this crossover au.

A Lies of P Character Comparison:

Carlo:

Carlo’s hair is very curly, regardless of whether it’s long or short. He really, really envies Pino for having straight hair. To annoy him, Pino likes to tug the curls and it drives poor Carlo up a wall because he only does it when Carlo is not paying attention, Pino please cease. Pino will never cease he finds it so, so amusing. (Carlo's hair is a paid actor and will fluff up at the slightest inconvenience and Pino has seen it for himself and laughs about it.)

Carlo’s favourite colour is the same as Ergo. It's a comfort thing, he just really likes the colour.

His favourite outfit is actually the Workshop Master’s Uniform - though he hates the little cravat thing and just prefers a tie. Carlo wears an earring with a chunk of Ergo on it as an accessory on one ear. Because of what happened to him, Carlo’s fingernails are permanently Ergo blue. (This is just vital information to me, I hope you understand)

Carlo follows the Path of the Bastard, using rapiers and other light weapons. His Legion Arm of choice is Flamberge. His throwable of choice is the Shot Put (he was quite good at it in school.)

Carlo is an artist! He can play the piano, but that was learned from Pino and through ruthless training when he was a child, and he holds a negative passion for it. But Carlo loves to draw, and sketch, and even drafted some weapon concepts for himself and Romeo, back when they were still in school.

Carlo knows how to look good! It's a self-preservation thing from when he was in school, he says. Bullshit, Pino says. These two bicker about it constantly because Carlo refuses to let Pino make what he calls fashion mistakes and Pino is very salty.

Carlo has scars on the back of his legs from when the nuns whipped his legs with a cane for misreading the scripture as a child. He's never told anyone about it.

Pino:

Pino’s hair is very straight when it’s longer - when it’s short, his hair tends to be on the wavy side, rather than the curly end. Carlo hates him so much for this. His bedhead though is some sort of nightmare situation going on, Carlo can feel great that he never suffers that.

Pino’s favorite color is green! Mostly the bottle green on the glasses, but dark pine green works too.

His favourite accessory is the green glasses, and he wears the White Lady’s outfit the most, but he stole the green shirt from the Alchemist’s Uniform. He also hates the cravat and prefers to wear the tie from the Alchemist’s outfit. He also has their little cape thing - also in white, he’s got a brand. His nails are generally either bright green or pine green, no in between - he saw Carlo’s and wanted to be included.

Pino follows the Path of the Sweeper, using heavy weapons and blunts. His Legion Arm of choice is Puppet String. His throwable of choice is - none, that's for cowards. (Carlo: hey!)

Pino cannot draw. Do not ask him he just can't. He is a talented musician, though, and adores playing the piano. He wants to play the church organ sometime, but never really got a chance.

Pino always has time for gaudy accessories. At some point, Carlo had to drag him away from a glittery feather boa that had rhinestones on it and Carlo is terrified for his fashion sense. Pino would like to object but Carlo has already decided Pino is never allowed to learn how to sew.

Pino has a few scars from where his Legion Arm is grafted because, after some time, Eugenie offered to upgrade it for him. She spent so much time apologising to him, but Pino rather likes having the scars, and he doesn't think it's her fault.
