I've seen a few posts about Langdon picking up a new hobby during/after rehab. What if he took up origami...

He's drawn to it because it's precise and detailed, but without being too much. And it also has a very clear and tangible end result.

So at work, when he's stressed or just needs something to help him refocus he slips into the break room, or family room if it's empty, and makes something.

This has been going on for several weeks and now his locker is full and it's getting really difficult to get things in and out of his locker with all the origami falling out. He's tried to get them into a bag to bring them home, but there's always someone around the lockers when he tries.

One day he's in the break room and someone comes in and he has to quickly hide the origami rabbit he's made. No one notices or finds it, so he starts hiding them around the ER.

It's weeks before anyone finds one and everyone thinks it was a patient who left it. Things get a little diceier when more are found and everyone starts suspectsing each other. Princess, Perlah, and Dana have a betting pool for who is the likely culprit. Princess thinks it's Santos trying to mess with people for the laugh, Perlah thinks it's Mel, and Dana suspects Whitaker.

Langdon's caught in a stress loop of being worried someone will find out it's him, and needing to make more origami to cope, and then being stressed about where to put them.

Mel keeps complimenting the origami so for Valentine's day Langdon makes her half a dozen red origami roses and hides them in her bag (a moment of pure luck that he was able to capitalise on).

Mel doesn't find them until she's leaving work and the smile on her face makes everything worth it. She looks up and her eyes find him and she mouths thank you. Langdon is a little freaked, because how does she know it was him.

What he doesn't know is that Mel saw him that day many months ago hiding the little origami rabbit in the break room, and she's known it was him all along, but never told him or anyone else. She saw how he would always be calmer after making them so she started complimenting them whenever he was in earshot. Also, she really did like them.

Now she was going to have to learn some origami and give him something in return for the roses. Was it possible to make a heart shaped box? She could put some of the mints he was eating into it....

Even after learning their secret identities, the hero community always insisted that there was something inhuman about the bats. No one doubted that their intensive training had a lot to do with it, but it never quite explained how they could evade a Kryptonian's super senses, how they could melt into shadows, how they could function so long with little food, little rest, little oxygen if need be. Most people dismissed their uneasy feelings, but there was something strange about the bats, something uncanny, something that made them different from the arrows and other vanilla human members. And, slowly enough that no one really noticed, it was getting stronger.

Until one day, during a diplomatic meeting with the ruler of the Infinite Realms, when High King Phantom turned to Batman and his brood and literally brightened. "Oh! I didn't know you had liminal members!"

Or: through a variety of factors (proximity to death, their own death/near death experiences, exposure to the Lazarus Pits, the favor of Lady Gotham, immersion in Gotham's own cursed ambient ectoplasm, being a close knit group who continued to expose eachother, etc.) the batfamily have been becoming liminal/ecto-contaminated without noticing. The powers they're developing have been subtle, and align with the skills they expect to have, so no one brought it up when they started being able to hold their breath beyond human limitations, or got so sneaky that they literally seemed invisible, or had a lucky miss when they expected a bullet to go right through them. And they always exuded an unsettling aura of fear, so no one else thought anything was out of the ordinary either. By the time they meet Danny, Gotham counts as one of the most fiercely defended ghost haunts on the planet, with so many territorial liminals patrolling the streets.

Thinking I'm gonna atry to do a Star Trek screenshot redraw a week as like,, a fun little exercise,, but we'll see how that goes,, if somebody has any screenshots they want me to consider then I'd love suggestions <3

I just recently learned a cat fact that is so Robotnik coded that I had to share.

When cats headbutt you, they're doing more than just saying, 'I like this human'. They're essentially scent marking them, letting other cats in the area know that 'This one right here? Mine. This is my human now.'

I imagine Ivo would do something akin to that without really thinking about it once he finally accepted Stone into the lab. Maybe not nessicarily headbutts, but random shoulder pats/bumps/checks, leaving pieces of his own clothes on the backs of chairs so the smell rubs off on him, sets an air freshner around Stone's work area that smells like his own home.

Ivo can see that he's doing it and recognizes the patterns. But he can't fathom for the life of him, why he keeps on doing it. Stone is confused, and wonders if the doctor thinks he smells bad.

I like to think he does this regularly!

ANOTHER DPxDC idea (as if I write prompts for anything else lol ✍(◔◡◔)

And once again, I think I might have a hyperfixation rn, another deaged Dani (Ellie) and Dan (Dante)! and Dad!Danny.

And you know what, lets make it another DannyxConner idea.

Danny is on a field trip with his class (NOT in Gotham though, LOVE Gotham but lets go with a different city) in like Central City or Metropolis (If Metropolis, Danny is SUPER excited to see the space sections they have at the museum they no doubt have, because well SUPERMAN is an alien and based in their city. If in Central City Conner is visiting Bart.)

During the trip he bumps into Conner and the two just hit it off. Conner enjoys listening to Danny rant about space and the stars and finds watching Danny's eyes light up in joy kinda cute. And if he got his new hero name Supernova from listening to Danny's rants about the stars well... no one needs to know how he got it.

Danny likes how chill Conner is and how the guy stood against Dash and the other jocks when Dash decided he wanted to mess with Danny during the trip, a rare thing nowadays but sometimes Dash does try, and how he respects/likes Danny's friends.

He didn't even say anything negative or hurtful when he found out Danny has two kids back home.

In the end the two exchange numbers, flirt hard, and maybe set up a date in the future. And then more dates. Becoming boyfriends. AND meeting the family. Conner is smitten with just out of toddlerhood Ellie and toddler Dante and adores them. And he loves how the Fentons just love him the moment he stepped into their house and was introduced as Danny's boyfriend, he made sure to bring over a pie Ma should him how to make.

Things get a bit complicated when Conner, Supernova, is at a reunion of YJ members and his phone lights up with a text message from Danny.

He's smiling with a goofy/soft look when he opens the text and see's its a picture of Danny holding a pouting toddler Dante and Ellie on his lap smiling with a notable gap in her teeth at the camera. The message he got was 'Ellie wanted you to know she finally lost her first baby tooth. Dan's been grumpier, I think he misses you.'

He is pulled out of his happy thoughts and musings when he hears Bart gasp hard and drop a bowl of snacks onto the floor. Conner turns to from the future Speedster and see's him about to have a panic attack.

Bart, Impulse, is having a freak out after catching a glimpse of the text picture Conner had gotten and being nosy wanted to know what got his friend to smile so smitten. He knew of Conner's current boyfriend and the kids Conner adores but haven't had time to be introduced to them or even see a pic.

He wasn't expecting to see the very MONSTER of his NIGHTMARES that basically destroyed the world in the FUTURE as a toddler pouting at a camera and surrounded by two smiling identical looking people either. People he never saw in the future or with HIM AND-

Oh.... OH!

Was that why he turned evil? Did something happen to his family?
