i said i wanted to do something not necessarily depicting dream but certainly an ode to him and i think that the most painstakingly complicated piece i’ve ever done, that took 23 hours of sewing what felt like 30 million stitches, sums that up pretty fucking nicely . happy birthday dream have some roses -> 🌹!

I have decided to move on to my next project. (I got a set of three off of Amazon, so this is the second of that set.)
I also made the decision to leave all French knots for dead last. As in, I will do everything else, but the French knot, then once all three only have that left, I will attempt them again.
Those knots still have one up on me. I need to reassess.

there is only one thing stronger than fast fashion culture and it's autistics who buy tshirts related to their special interest and then keep wearing that shirt until it falls apart to the point it physically cannot function as a shirt anymore

13. Daughter
Four. She has no father. It doesn’t bother her.
Five. She has no father. It does.
Six. Her father has no name. Mom and Grandma whisper about “him.” Lucrecia presses her ear to the door.
Ten. Her father has brown eyes, like her. She’s learning about genes. Mom’s eyes are blue.
Sixteen. Her father has a name and address. He calls another brown-eyed girl his daughter. He doesn’t call Lucrecia anything; he asks her to leave.
Nineteen. She has Grim. No man’s ever cared like he does. Not without wanting something.
Twenty-three. He has a son. She’ll always come second.

The stitchwork looks like shit but i am actually very happy with the result considering this is like. My first time doing a patch. The appearance doesn't matter either considering these are my home clothes but the hole is patched up and no longer feels awkward👍

the real question for the salbă is though, okay. you manage to drill the holes in the right places for all the coins. how the hell do you tie them though. in old photos they most often seem to be kept together, to the main band and to each other, by small red strings.... how the hell do you manage to tie a string that small, and have it hold the weight of a coin? several very tiny knots on the back? im not sure abt that, that sounds messy. and while the first row can be sown right onto the fabric,,,, the hell you do with the second one
