*kicks down a door*
I wanna see your dissection of fusions for thsc please. You don’t have to do it, but I like your analysis of the games lore. In the end it’s up to you if you do it, I just think it would be cool.
( ◠‿◠ )
I’ll go through what I can, but what’s important to remember is that our knowledge of fusion comes from a single fail scene, therefore our knowledge is incredibly limited. However, there’s still quite a bit of information that we can dissect.
What we know:
1. Fusions have abilities that individuals don’t have
This is going to be the expectation with fusion in fiction regardless of what you’re talking about, be it Dragon Ball, Steven Universe, or whatever else happens to have characters fusing. These special abilities include super strength, enhanced speed, and levitation/midair suspension.
2. Fusions have the combined traits of those involved in the fusion
This can be personality traits, physical traits, or other aspects of their character. Take Ellry’s bio, which lists traits that they got from their components:
3. If a Fusion takes enough damage, the fusion falls apart.
This is one of the few limitations of a Fusion that we know of. While they’re difficult to stand up against, landing a hard enough blow on them will force the Fusion to separate into their components.
4. Fusion is an incredibly rare ability
Henry and Ellie are the only two characters we explicitly know to be able to fuse, and they are known to be anomalies ability-wise. When Henry and Ellie fuse into Ellry, everyone else reacts with surprise
and nervousness.
Even the Toppat armed with guns lose confidence. Their reactions suggest that information on fusion is extremely limited, and that fusion is an extremely rare occurrence. This is the only time we get to see it, after all.
However, the rarity of fusion is a double-edged sword. Just as the Toppats know hardly anything about fusion, we also know very little.
What we don’t know:
1. Limitations on who can fuse
We know that Henry and Ellie have the ability to fuse, and that the two of them are able to fuse with each other. We also know that not everyone can fuse--two characters without the ability to fuse are unable to fuse with one another, as shown by the other Toppats’ reactions to Ellry.
But what would happen if an individual known to be capable of fusion--such as Ellie or Henry, were to try to fuse with someone who is otherwise unable to fuse (e.g. Reginald Copperbottom or Rupert Price, who we don’t know to have any special abilities)? Does the act of fusing require both component individuals to have the ability to fuse, thus totally locking out anyone who normally can’t (e.g. Reginald and Henry would be incompatible because Reginald cannot fuse)? Or is it more similar to fusion in Steven Universe, where as long as one person is capable of fusing, a Fusion can form (e.g. Reginald and Henry could fuse but Reginald and the Right Hand Man could not)?
2. What IS Kabbitz, anyway?
Up to now, I’ve repeatedly talked about Ellry when it comes to fusion. Kabbitz, similar to Kado Ito in International Rescue Operative, is solely introduced to combat Ellry. But that begs the question: Is Kabbitz also a Fusion?
There is evidence for Kabbitz being a fusion. He stands out against other Toppats, at least for his height.
He’s also known to have the same enhancements as Ellry does, even managing to overpower them in the end.
Even his top hat is unique, with the top half being yellow (or gold?) and the bottom half being blue. The closest other Toppats get to a hat like this is a hat with a differently colored band around the base.
However, this line of dialogue makes it unclear whether he’s actually a fusion or whether he just happens to have all the traits a fusion is known to have (enhanced speed, floating, super strength).
Plus, we never see Kabbitz separated into any components--he’s only seen approaching Ellry as Kabbitz. We can headcanon as much as we want, but it’s unknown whether Kabbitz is just really big or if he’s a Fusion going stealth.
TL;DR
Information is extremely limited so there’s lots of wiggle room, but there are also some rules/limitations that we can gather based on context clues, the primary one being that it’s rare and limited availability. Additionally, there is inconclusive evidence as to whether or not Kabbitz is also a fusion.

Crown of Roses ghost concepts
Toppat Leaders, dethroned or otherwise, do not appear with their injuries upon dying- though they may have hints of it (I.E., Randy Radman’s scarf flowing upwards signifying how he died by hanging by it).
Most cannot see ghosts….but the ones who can are the ones who always have death on their minds. Sven revolves his life around ending the lives of others- and bears that job and guilt daily. As well as this, he thinks about ending his life quite often…these two things combining into allowing him to see the spirits of those who have passed.
There are many other ghosts on the ship, however the Toppat Leaders have hidden in their portraits, and the recruits are hiding elsewhere…or have been destroyed by the spirit of TRNK.
Toppat Leader ghosts have control over the spirits of their former recruits- even those who have left the Clan (unless the person in question burned their own top hat while still alive). They cannot “puppet” these ghosts, but they can call them to their presence at any point- and Toppat Leader ghosts are the only kind that are able to kill other ghosts.
(Many of this is subject to change.)
Have fun guessing how everyone died.
