They do not behave like animals; they understand English after like one episode that they are “tamed”. In the previous shows, it was shown that those things need time. However, in the nine realms dragons evolved to be geniuses, well no, have you met thunder? He is many things but not intelligent.

This is by far the most unfaithful 'redesign' I've done so far. But that being said, I don't call myself a butcher for no reason.

I don't enjoy how TNR brings back dragons from the original series, as it's set far, far into the future the fact that those species still exist and are practically unchanged is well, weird to me. The fact that NIGHTLIGHTS still exist is also extremely odd to me, as they are a hybrid species they should be long gone due to the fact that Nightfuries have been long extinct (Toothless is an outlier).

This redesign is mainly just me having fun tbh. That's what most of my redesigns are. it's less what the og could've done better and more what I would find more interesting as a concept. There's quite a few tidal class dragons in the HTTYD franchise, yet there's not really any that are a 'main rider dragon.' This is one part appreciating Tidal class dragons and one part an ode to the book series.

I'm pretty sure this mofo Finnegron (I'm not bothering remembering his name) is the one who kidnaps and beats Callum up so I hope Rayla whips his ass.

What if- WHAT IF. He asks her to fight in the arena again giving Callum in exchange for winning. She didn't win in the short story because she got discracted cuz Callum but maybe she will win now because he wants to save him! her weakness being her strenght now!

I doubt it will happen but It sounds angsty enough and I like it

Either way she gonna be insane trying to save him.

Incest brothers

This is related to my theory that Tom might be inbred himself. Just like Thunder Canonically is imbred.

Maybe Thunder did not kill Tom on sight because he thought that Tom looked like his inbred siblings. That is also why Thunder was so friendly with Tom from the get-go, from the moment they met Thunder was this friendly being, which does not make any sense if you put more than 2 seconds of thoughts into it. Thunder is a wild animal or that is what the show wants us to believe, because that is not how he behaves. That is why the forbidden love replication scene came in. Where they split the food and eat one after another. It is a horrible scene. Do not watch the show if you want to see magic happen go watch the og stuff.

I mean they never behave like actual animals, but the show tells us they are. Except when the show needs them to be this intelligent species which even then that lasts like for 3 seconds, and their actions make no sense like this entire show doesn’t make sense so it’s on brand, I guess.

After seeing other people's drawings on the crossover dragon ship, I decided to base one of my crossover collages on it. To me Thundee is the second ToothSisu, but that could be due to me being a Toothless x Sisu fan.
