How Table Management Software Enhances Restaurant Efficiency

In the fast-paced restaurant industry, operational efficiency is key to providing excellent customer service and maximizing revenue. One of the most effective ways to streamline operations is by implementing a table management software like TicketsQue. This innovative technology optimizes seating arrangements, reduces wait times, and enhances overall guest satisfaction.
1. Optimized Seating and Turnover Management
Managing tables manually can lead to inefficiencies such as double bookings, long wait times, and poor table utilization. With TicketsQue’s table management software, restaurants can efficiently assign tables, track occupancy, and estimate dining durations. This leads to faster table turnovers, maximizing revenue potential while ensuring a smooth flow of guests.
2. Reduced Wait Times with Smart Reservations
Long wait times can deter customers and impact a restaurant’s reputation. TicketsQue’s digital table reservation system allows diners to book tables online, reducing congestion at peak hours. Real-time availability updates ensure that walk-in guests are accommodated efficiently without overbooking issues.
3. Enhanced Customer Experience
A well-managed seating system enhances customer satisfaction. TicketsQue’s software provides real-time updates to guests about their wait times, sends automated confirmations, and even allows restaurants to personalize dining experiences based on guest preferences. Happy customers are more likely to leave positive reviews and return for future visits.
4. Seamless Integration with POS and CRM Systems
TicketsQue’s table management system seamlessly integrates with POS systems and customer relationship management (CRM) tools, providing restaurants with valuable insights into customer behavior, popular dining hours, and table utilization trends. This data-driven approach helps in strategic planning and optimizing staff allocation.
5. Efficient Staff Coordination
Managing a restaurant involves synchronizing multiple operations, including table assignments, order processing, and server availability. With TicketsQue’s software, restaurant managers can assign tables to servers based on real-time data, reducing confusion and ensuring efficient service.
6. Maximized Revenue with Better Space Utilization
Poor table management often leads to wasted seating space. TicketsQue optimizes floor plans and ensures every seat is utilized efficiently, boosting revenue by accommodating more guests without compromising comfort.
7. Data-Driven Decision Making
With built-in analytics and reporting features, TicketsQue helps restaurant owners monitor peak hours, average dining time, and guest preferences. These insights enable restaurants to adjust their operations for better efficiency and profitability.
Conclusion
Implementing TicketsQue’s table management software is a game-changer for restaurants aiming to enhance efficiency, boost revenue, and improve customer satisfaction. With features like optimized seating, seamless POS integration, and real-time updates, restaurants can stay ahead in the competitive hospitality industry.
Upgrade your restaurant’s efficiency with TicketsQue’s advanced table management solution today!

What gifts to buy for each Venus sign
Christmas is among us, my favourite season and time of the year. Venus is the planet of love, by nature it can display what we like to receive from others but if you don’t know their Venus or the house it’s in you can try to look at the persons Sun sign instead but Venus is ideal.
A gift based on their:

Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency announced this week that it discovered large batches of unused software licenses as it continues to hunt for examples of waste in Washington. On Monday, DOGE alleged that the General Services Administration has 37,000 licenses for the file compression and encryption tool WinZip, even though the agency has only about 13,000 employees. “Fixes are actively in work,” the team wrote on Musk’s social media site X. It later alleged similar overspending at the Department of Labor.
But the purported discrepancies between licenses and employees may not be as problematic as Musk’s government wrecking crew has made them out to be.
Liz Lezius, a spokesperson for the Canadian tech company Alludo, which develops WinZip and was once known as Corel, says licensing for the program is based on the number of devices on which it is installed, not the number of employees with access to the software, though she declined to comment on specific customers. “It is typical that there are more devices than employees in an organization,” Lezius tells WIRED.
In other cases, suppliers may require agencies to buy a bundle of tools to get access to one they really need, according to Ryan Triplette, executive director of the Coalition for Fair Software Licensing, an advocacy group of software developers and private sector purchasers fighting what they view as restrictive terms.
Agencies may also have more licenses than employees to account for budgeting quirks and outside contractors, says a former federal official who worked on tech licensing across multiple presidential administrations. “What you’re seeing with the DOGE stuff is they are doing cursory work with limited knowledge,” says the ex-official, who is barred by their employer from speaking to the media. It “has some salience but is done in a bombastic way to make it seem like they are having more impact.”
GSA acting press secretary Will Powell tells WIRED that in support of the Trump administration’s priorities, the agency is reviewing contracts and resources “to ensure our staff can perform their mission in support of American taxpayers.”
On Thursday, the DOGE account on X posted that the GSA had taken action this week “by deleting 114,163 unused software licenses & 15 underutilized / redundant software products — for a total annual savings of $9.6M.”
Earlier this week, Musk reposted allegations of overspending at the Labor Department and wrote, “Most of these items are mundane and may not seem like much individually, but there are millions of minor savings that add up to billions of dollars cumulatively. Ultimately, there will be a trillion+ dollars of waste and fraud eliminated.”
The Labor Department and White House, where DOGE is located, didn’t respond to requests for comment.
Federal agencies sometimes sign long-term contracts with software vendors, which allows them to lock in discount rates and avoid the need to renegotiate contracts every year. As a result, the number of licenses they budget for may include projected staff increases. “It’s cheaper to buy them all at once than go back and add on 500 at a time,” the former federal official says.
Because agencies sometimes get bulk or government-specific discounts, it can also be more affordable to buy software licenses on behalf of their private contractors. “It’s a very clear way for agencies to manage costs,” the ex-official says.
Every government agency has its own unique structure, including many subagencies or units, each with their own software needs. That could help explain other alleged licensing issues DOGE called out this week, including that GSA has “3 different ticketing systems running in parallel” and multiple tools for running unspecified trainings.
In a separate post this week, DOGE called out the Department of Labor for allegedly licensing five cybersecurity programs, each for more than 20,000 users, despite having only about 15,000 employees. The post also cited the department holding 380 Microsoft 365 productivity software licenses with zero users, installing only 30 out of the 128 Microsoft Teams conference rooms it licensed, and using only 22 out of 129 Photoshop licenses. The post also referenced unused licenses for “VSCode,” the shorthand name for an entirely free Microsoft tool for writing code; the company does sell a paid alternative known as Visual Studio.
Microsoft declined to comment. Adobe, which develops Photoshop, did not respond to a request to comment.
While DOGE may have failed to present a full picture of wasteful spending, it’s true that the federal government has at times struggled to effectively manage its use of software licenses. Numerous watchdog groups inside the government have found instances of wasteful spending on software in the past.
Members of Congress have been trying for years to get agencies to address the issue, the former federal official says. The Strengthening Agency Management and Oversight of Software Assets Act, or SAMOSA Act, which passed the House last year with bipartisan support but stalled in the Senate, would have required agencies to do what DOGE is doing now: Assess existing software contracts, consolidate licenses where possible, and get better deals to keep costs down. The legislation aimed to give agencies more bargaining power over the handful of big tech firms that dominate government software contracting, according to the former official.
“If Elon [Musk] wanted to do this the right way, they would work with Congress to pass the SAMOSA Act,” the official says. “So people who will be there even when DOGE leaves can enter into smarter, less expensive contracts. They should be setting a repeatable process whereby agencies will constantly reevaluate their software needs and get better performance for lower costs.”
Triplette, of the Coalition for Fair Software Licensing, credited DOGE for examining licensing issues. “I know there is a lot of concern about what DOGE is doing, but this is one area that there is hope and possibility,” she says.
Other federal contracting experts and congressional offices have told WIRED that DOGE should not lose sight of bigger targets while scrounging for savings. There were 11 federal contracting programs for information technology that each accounted for over $1 billion in spending during the government’s last fiscal year, which ran from October 2023 through September 2024, according to an analysis for WIRED by Deltek, whose GovWin IQ tool tracks procurement. Contracts are often broken up into smaller pieces, and among those task orders, over $1 billion has been spent on six individual task orders related to IT over the past few years. They are led by a Dell deal with the Department of Veterans Affairs and a Booz Allen Hamilton agreement with the Pentagon.
Booz Allen Hamilton declined to comment. Its CEO, Horacio Rozanski, told Wall Street last month that the company expected the savings created by DOGE to be reinvested in technology. Dell didn’t respond to a request for comment. Earlier this month, CEO Michael Dell reshared a post by Musk on X. “We need DOGE! 🇺🇸” he wrote.
The extent of DOGE’s software purge is difficult to quantify. In searching for the word “license” across the descriptions of 13,800 federal contracts in the government’s central tracking database that have been updated to reflect terminations since Trump’s inauguration, WIRED found that roughly 60 of the canceled agreements appear to be explicitly for software. A couple of those cancellations—data visualization tool Tableau and Microsoft’s LinkedIn Recruiter—generated savings of about $4 million, according to DOGE’s official Wall of Receipts, a “transparent account” of findings and actions. The website has contained some errors, according to several media reports, and WIRED found earlier this week that Tableau and LinkedIn savings were listed as $0.
WinZip standard licenses run about $35 annually per user, though large organizations are offered "special pricing," according to the product's official website. Lezius, the spokesperson for WinZip developer Alludo, declined to address whether the company has heard from DOGE representatives, but she says the company is “always happy to work with DOGE, GSA, and any customer” to meet their needs. And, she adds, WinZip, is “a trusted and highly affordable way for agencies to adhere to data security requirements.”

Hey! This is very random, but I saw that you work in cyber security right now. I work in data science, but I'm really interested in cyber security and considering making a switch. I was wondering what kind of cybersecurity work you do, and what has been the most helpful for you to learn what you need for your job!
Hi! Cybersecurity is a really broad field, and you can do a lot of different things depending on what your interests are.
My work is mostly focused around automating things for security, since my background is in programming. Automation is really helpful for speeding up boring, monotonous tasks that need to get done, but don't necessarily need a human involved. A good example is automated phishing analysis, since phishing reports are a big chunk of the cases that security analysts have to deal with, and an analyst usually follows the same few steps at the beginning. Rather than someone having to manually check the reputation of the sender domain, check the reputation of any links, and all of that every single time, we can build tools to automatically scan for things like that and then present the info to the analyst. The whole idea here is to automate the boring data retrieval stuff, since computers are good at that, and give the analyst more time for decision-making and analysis, since humans are good at that.
If you're coming from data science, you might be interested in detection engineering. Cybersecurity is essentially a data problem - we have a ton of logs from a ton of different sources (internal logs, threat intelligence feeds, etc.) - how do we sort through that data to highlight things that we want to pay attention to, and how can we correlate events from different sources? If you're into software development or want to stay more on the data science side, maybe you could also look into roles for software development at companies that have SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) products - these are essentially the big log repositories that organizations rely on for correlation and alerting.
As for starting to learn security, my general go-to recommendation is to start looking through the material for the Security+ certification. For better or worse, certifications are pretty big in security, much more so than other tech fields (to my knowledge). I'm a bit more hesitant to recommend the Security+ now, since CompTIA (the company that offers it) was bought by a private equity company last year. Everyone is kind of expecting the prices to go up and the quality to go down. (The Security+ exam costs $404 USD as of writing this, and I think I took mine for like $135ish with a student discount in 2022). However, the Security+ is still the most well-known and comprehensive entry-level certification that I'm aware of. You can (and should) study for it completely for free - check out Professor Messer's training videos on YouTube. There are also plenty of books out there if that's more of your thing. I'd say to treat the Security+ as a way to get a broad overview of security and figure out what you don't know. (It's certainly not a magic ticket to a job, no matter what those expensive bootcamps will tell you.)
If you aren't familiar with networking, it's worth checking out Professor Messer's Network+ training videos as well. You don't need to know everything on there, but having an understanding of ports, protocols, and network components and design is super useful. I hear a lot that the best security folks are often the ones who come from IT or networking or similar and have a really solid understanding of the fundamentals and then get into security. Don't neglect the basics!
One thing that I'll also add, based on conversations I've had with folks in my network… getting a job in cybersecurity is harder now than it used to be, at least in the US (where I am). There are a ton of very well-qualified people who have been laid off who are now competing with people trying to get into the field in the first place, and with the wrecking ball that Elon is taking to the federal government (and by extension, government contractors) right now… it's hard. There's still a need for skilled folks in cyber, but you're going to run into a lot of those "5 years of experience required for this entry-level job" kind of job postings.
On a slightly happier note, another thing you should do if you want to get into cyber is to stay up to date with what's happening in the industry! I have a masterpost that has a section with some of my favorite news sources. The SANS Stormcast is a good place to start - it's a 5 minute podcast every weekday morning that covers most of the big things. Black Hills Infosec also does a weekly news livestream on YouTube that's similar (but longer and with more banter). Also, a lot of infosec folks hang out on Mastodon & in the wider fediverse. Let me know if you want some recs for folks to follow over there.
The nice thing about cybersecurity (and computer-related fields in general, I find) is that there are a ton of free resources out there to help you learn. Sometimes it's harder to find the higher-quality ones, but let me know if there are any topics you're interested in & I'll see what I can find. I have a few posts in my cybersecurity tag on here that might help.
Thank you for your patience, I know you sent this in over a week ago lol but life has been busy. Feel free to send any follow-up questions if you have any!

Day 1 of My $0 to $12,000 in 90 Days Challenge — No Tricks, No Jugaad, Just Real Hustle
Let me start this with a deep breath.
Because Day 1 is officially over. And it was a rollercoaster.
Today, I want to take you inside something real. Raw. And hopefully, inspiring. I’m sharing the start of my $0 to $12,000 in 90 days challenge — a personal mission to prove that with pure white-hat marketing, hard work, and consistency, you can go from absolutely nothing… to something life-changing.
Why This Challenge?
I’ve been in digital marketing for a while now. I know PPC. I understand SEO. I’ve played around with affiliate campaigns, generated leads for clients, and seen the ups and downs.
But this time? This challenge is different.
This isn’t just about the money. It’s about self-respect. About doing something meaningful with zero shortcuts. No blackhat, no hacks, no “fake screenshots.” Just legit results from real marketing.
I told myself: if I ever wanted to prove my skills, it had to be through this $0 to $12,000 journey — starting from scratch, building from the ground up, and sharing every step of the way.
Waking Up with Fire in the Belly
Subah aankh khuli toh ek hi thought tha: “Is baar kuch bada karna hai.”
There was pressure, sure. But there was excitement too. I wasn’t going to play it safe. Not this time.
I jumped straight into action — started my day with a clear to-do list. My mindset? Work like I already have 10 clients relying on me.
The First Win Came Early
By 9:17 AM, I had already received my first lead call for a client in the water damage niche.
It converted.
That moment? It was small, but powerful. It reminded me — this is real. This can work.
Here’s What I Did on Day 1:
Ran PPC campaigns for a water damage client
Optimized and tracked calls using my tools
Closed a small SEO gig for $10 with a new client
Checked on my pre-ranked SEO pages (more on that below)
Total Day 1 earnings?
✅ $87 (~₹7,300) And that’s just the start.
The SEO Side Is Already Warming Up 🔥
The best surprise of Day 1?
Some of my SEO pages are already ranking and getting traffic.
Topics like:
Water damage
ACA health insurance
Roofing leads
Pest control
These are high-ticket niches, and they’re built to convert. If the trend continues (and I’ll make sure it does), this will become a long-term passive source of calls and commissions.
My Daily Goal: 50+ Calls
I’ve set a bold daily target: generate 50+ qualified calls per day.
Not all from PPC. Not all from SEO.
But from a mix of:
Paid ads
SEO rankings
Direct client work
Local lead gen deals
This diversified approach will help me stabilize income while scaling.
Tools I’m Using (In Case You Want to Try Too)
Here’s my Day 1 toolkit — simple, affordable, and powerful:
Google Ads for PPC
CallRail (or any call tracking software)
Notion for daily planning and task tracking
Google Sites + Docs for safe white-hat parasite SEO
Canva + ChatGPT for creatives & content drafts
Everything here is beginner-friendly — nothing fancy. This challenge is designed to be replicable.
Real Talk: I Was Scared Too
I’m going to be honest. When I announced this challenge publicly, I felt fear.
Not because I don’t believe in the system. But because accountability is terrifying.
When people know what you’re trying to do, every win and loss becomes public. But that’s also the magic of it. It pushes you.
Because when it’s out in the open, you stop making excuses.
Lessons from Day 1
I’m walking away from Day 1 with a few learnings I didn’t expect:
Consistency beats perfection — Just starting feels like momentum.
Small wins build belief — $87 might not be crazy money, but it’s fuel.
Clients matter — Don’t rely only on affiliate. Direct clients = stable income.
Your mindset makes or breaks this game — No tool can fix a broken mindset.
Wanna Start Your Own Challenge?
If you’re reading this and wondering: Can I do this too? Yes, you absolutely can.
Here’s what you need:
A simple strategy (not 15 different ones)
1-2 solid skills (PPC, SEO, outreach — pick your strength)
Patience. The results will come if you show up daily.
This isn’t about “luck” or “algorithms.” It’s about showing up when no one’s watching.
Final Thought: “Start Small. But Start.”
I don’t care if you only make $10 on Day 1. If it’s real, you’re winning.
Because if you start now — without overthinking — the compounding effect is going to shock you 30 days from now.
I made $87 on Day 1. And that’s just the trailer. This journey is going to be intense, raw, and powerful. And I’m bringing you along for every win, every struggle, every honest number.
Want to Follow This Journey?
I’m sharing daily updates across platforms. If you want to track my progress, learn from it, or even start your own $0 to $12,000 challenge — follow along.
Let’s grow together. No fluff. No hacks. Just real hustle. 💪
💬 Drop a comment if you’re starting something big too — I’d love to cheer you on.
Would you like a custom thumbnail/featured image suggestion to make it stand out on Vocal too?

Can you please tell me what story points are I hear about them from tech dudes they sound so scary
oh yes lmao. let me answer this publicly so everyone can learn...
in software development there's a work allocation philosophy called agile that everyone either does or tries to do. some people just "do" agile and some people will tell you that agile is a vibe and you can only "do" subsets of it like scrum or kanban or whatever. many people use these terms interchangably and many places end up doing an unholy patchwork of various agile frameworks and hoping for the best.
(or they don't actually do agile at all but adopt agile tools and terminology anyway because that's the shit everyone knows how to use. Big Atlassian has us in their grip...)
in (some) agile work planning, each team divides their session into sprints, which is a fixed length of time for which you pre-determine what you'll be working on and any new tasks won't get picked up or really even looked at until the next sprints. from what I've seen these are usually two-ish weeks but can definitely be more or less. at the end of your sprint, you'll ideally be done with all of the work you were assigned and then get new things to work on for the next sprint.
each unit of work is broken into a story, which is supposed to be a whole anthropomorphized "user story" and not just a unit of work but I've never worked somewhere that adhered to this. sometimes people call them a ticket or an issue instead. it kinda depends on the tool you're using. right now we use a not-jira tool that calls them stories, so to us they're stories! but they're basically just bite-sized work assignments.
each story gets an estimate of how much effort you think it'll take to complete it. (not time, just effort. these are supposed to be different but no one has ever explained how in a way that's satisfied me.) those are your story points. so when you do your sprint planning every <x> weeks, you or your boss or your scrum master or whoever allocates work based on the point total of your stories. let's say that you're usually trying to hit 30-ish story points or so; you might pull in a 13, an 8, a 5, and four 1s for that sprint based on which stories are outstanding. but the next sprint might be two 8s, a 5, three 3s, and a 2.
also I love (and am mystified by??) how these tech dudes are apparently just coming to you to complain about their sprint planning all the time. but I understand. it's rough out here.

How Enterprises Use Voice APIs for Call Routing and IVR Automation
Enterprises today handle thousands of customer calls every day. To manage these efficiently, many are turning to voice APIs. These tools help businesses automate call routing and interactive voice response (IVR) systems.
What Are Voice APIs?
Voice APIs are software interfaces that allow developers to build voice-calling features into apps or systems. These APIs can trigger actions like placing calls, receiving them, or converting speech to text. For enterprises, voice APIs make it easy to integrate intelligent call handling into their workflow.
Smarter Call Routing
Call routing directs incoming calls to the right agent or department. With voice APIs, this process becomes dynamic and rules based.
For example, a customer calling from a VIP number can be routed directly to a premium support team. APIs allow routing rules based on caller ID, time of day, location, or even previous interactions. This reduces wait times and improves customer satisfaction.
Automated IVR Systems
Interactive Voice Response (IVR) lets callers interact with a menu system using voice or keypad inputs. Traditional IVR systems are rigid and often frustrating.
Voice APIs enable smarter, more personalized IVR flows. Enterprises can design menus that adapt in real time. For instance, returning callers may hear different options based on their past issues. With speech recognition, users can speak naturally instead of pressing buttons.
Scalability and Flexibility
One major benefit of using voice API is scalability. Enterprises don’t need physical infrastructure to manage call volume. The cloud-based nature of voice APIs means businesses can handle spikes in calls without losing quality.
Also, changes to call flows can be made quickly. New routing rules or IVR scripts can be deployed without touching hardware. This agility is crucial in fast-moving industries.
Enhanced Analytics and Integration
Voice APIs also provide detailed data. Enterprises can track call duration, drop rates, wait times, and common IVR paths. This data helps optimize performance and identify pain points.
Moreover, APIs easily integrate with CRMs, ticketing systems, and analytics tools. This ensures a seamless connection between calls and other business processes.
Final Thoughts
Voice APIs are transforming how enterprises manage voice communications. From intelligent call routing to adaptive IVR systems, the benefits are clear. Enterprises that adopt these tools gain speed, efficiency, and better customer experience, and that too without a lot of effort.
