Whatever you do, don't remember that Henry is a druid and if he is level 18 or higher he now has Timeless Body, which means that for every 10 years that pass, his body only ages one.
Also don't think about that in connection to his friends and family. He will vastly outlive every other dad except for Glenn and Jodie. He will outlive Mercedes and even possibly Lark and Birdie. Maybe even Normal.
He will be there to see them all age quicker than he ever could and die long before he is ready to say goodbye
Definitely don't think about how Henry, Glenn and Jodie would be the last dads standing, and how two of them are in Hell and probably don't even keep in contact with him, potentially leaving Henry all alone with his grief.
Whatever you do. Dont think about it

I need to rewatch that episode at some point to fully digest it, as I was watching with my family, but I have a bit of a theory coming out of it. Granted it might also be wishful thinking, since it's kind-of what I would do if I was in RTD's shoes, but hear me out:
Getting another mention of the Timeless Child arc feels very deliberate, despite (again) the new series obstensibly being a jumping on point for new viewers.
The episode is filled with themes regarding being a 'foundling' (that wording from Davina was a VERY deliberate choice - granted it's already floating around in pop-culture a bit with The Mandalorian, but it's also specifically the wording the Master used to describe the Timeless Child), not to mention fostering from the parent's point of view, and ambiguous family relationships (daughter / foster kid etc.).
There's clearly a coincidence parallel there. Indeed we hear as much from Fifteen himself.
"I'm adopted." "Are you?" "Yeah, yeah. I, uh, only found out recently."
Meanwhile we also get this element of the timeline changing, and it completely changing the life and personality of Carla.
And finally, there's the Doctor watching Ruby's birth mother (?) leave despite seemingly being tempted to confront her vs Ruby immediately running off when she realises the Doctor's a time traveller (RTD clearly influencing himself there, given the similarities with Rose's debut).
My guess (and hope, full disclaimer) is that we might get some development of the Doctor's origins to make them a bit more ambiguous beyond the Timeless Child mystery. Ideally via changing timelines as per Unnatural History IMHO, like I mentioned in a recent post.
We've got some hints of RTD thinking this way already, given his reasoning for sharing Doctor Who and the Time War during lockdown:
More importantly, the idea has come of age. This chapter only died because it became, continuity-wise, incorrect. But now, the Thirteenth Doctor has shown us Doctors galore, with infinite possibilities. All Doctors exist. All stories are true.
Tales of the TARDIS also seems to lean quite hard into this, with each past Doctor having aged beyond their regenerations due to the constantly changing time tracks. (This also feels kinda like what he was getting at with his 'all Doctors bigenerated' comment, even if it actually occuring in-universe as it did with Fourteen woud be a disaster.)
Do I think we will get too focused on timelines shifting? ...no not necessarily. But I do think we might see some key themes regarding having multiple families (biological, adopted, fostered, found etc.) and these might get applied directly to the Doctor, with him acknowledging having multiple pasts and multiple families. Like that line from Lungbarrow:
'Goodbye, Lungbarrovians,' he called. 'Don't worry. I don't ask for your forgiveness. Time runs in circles. I have other families!
Granted, a lot of this is pure speculation, but I do think there's clear setup for Ruby and Fifteen to be foils to each other going forward, which may indicate similar arcs, even if they don't necessarily unfold at the same time.
However there is one big thing that really might just link it together for me..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The way the family changes as the timelines change. The way Carla's relationship with her foster children changes too. The difference in the number of photos.
This last bit is particulary interesting, because it has two possible subtextual meanings in my head. Let's assume the theory is right, everything involving Ruby is meant to foreshadow the Doctor's own multiple pasts and multiple families.
Does the number of photos represent the size of his family (eg. 45 cousins in a House vs a handful of siblings and stepsiblings)?
"You've got the biggest family in the world." "I have. What about you?" "Uh... I've got no one."
(Although it is worth noting that this is also exactly what Sarah Jane said to Ten about the companions in Journeys End. I'm not how, or if, this is meaningful, but I figured I'd note it.)
Or... and this is a stretch of a stretch... could it represent the number of incarnations the Doctor has had in each timetrack?
"All those lives... you fostered thirty-three." "How many? Not me, darling. Don't be so stupid."
There's not that much to go off yet, so a lot of this may be well off what actually happens, but on a thematic level at least, I do very much think Ruby and the Doctor will continue to be foils to eachother regarding their relationships with their families and trying to find their 'true origin'.

“The Terminal Seconds of Moon Knight,” Moon Knight (Vol. 9/2021), #30.
Writer: Jed MacKay; Penciler and Inker: Alessandro Cappuccio; Colorist: Rachelle Rosenberg; Letterer: Cory Petit
#Marvel#Marvel comics#Marvel 616#Moon Knight vol. 9#Moon Knight 2021#Moon Knight comics#latest release#let’s get this bread#Moon Knight#Marc Spector#first and most critically since I haven’t had a chance to say it yet: Happy Hanukkah!#it’s my hope that you have a lovely and safe holiday where ever you are!#secondly: hey what the heck is this in this comic (quite possibly the worst Hanukkah gift I’ve ever received)#to quit with the melodrama - like sure we saw this coming#it was very well advertised and telegraphed through the narrative#but still…ouch#I do love all things Moon Knight (so I’ll definitely be covering the new Vengeance of the Moon Knight volume#as well as that upcoming Timeless comic two weeks from now#which looks like it’ll have a Moon Knight in it) but…I think it’s pretty obvious that I’m rather partial to Steven Marc and Jake#I’ve been around the block with comics long enough to know that they’ll bring the boys back /eventually/#as only Uncle Ben (not even Bucky or Jason Todd) stays dead in comics#it’s just a bit of a gamble when that return will be :’) (;д;)#like for example I haven’t seen much in the way of interest in bringing Robbie Reyes back since Jason Aaron chucked him into purgatory#and goodness knows we haven’t seen hide nor hair of Nate Grey since that whole Age of X-Man debacle#and while Kaine gives me hope since he returned to comics after being MIA for a decade he’s also in a bit of a content desert at the moment#but hey…that’s comics babey#just gotta enjoy the ride where you can

I very much doubt there's much chance of this, but is there anyone out there who is a fan of both Doctor Who (and especially/possibly the Gallifrey audios) and the Nevermoor series? As I have many au thoughts but no-one to share/discuss them with.
(if you are please message me)

Me> [struggling to unravel a very annoying UI bug]
My brain, entirely unprompted> H E Y. IF JAHEIRA HAD USED SOME MORE MINOR VERSION OF THAT RITE OF THE TIMELESS BODY ON RASAAD TO EXTEND HIS LIFESPAN, IT WOULD RESOLVE THE MORE FINICKY TIMELINE ISSUES ABOUT RION BEING THEIR KID.
Me> ...ok? I didn't ask right now but thank you for working that out I guess.

People will often say, 'If you could be with Lincoln for dinner, what would you want to ask him? What would be the unanswered question?' And I know I should be asking him, 'OK, suppose you had not been killed, how would you have dealt with the South? How would you have dealt with Reconstruction and all the controversies that arose?' But I know that if I really had him for dinner one night, I would simply ask him, 'Tell me a story, Mr. Lincoln.' Because then I would see him coming alive. He laughed so hard when he told one of his funny stories, his eyes would twinkle. And then I'd know that the Lincoln I knew -- who was somehow able in the worst days of the war to dispel the anxiety of his Cabinet members by his humor and his life-affirming sense of storytelling -- then I’d know I would have seen him alive.
-Doris Kearns Goodwin, Presidential Episode 16
This was where I had to stop the Lincoln episode at the end of my commute, and as I pulled into the parking lot I said to myself, "Wow, that's lovely." A little schmaltzy, perhaps, but I think it gets to the core of why people study history. Sure, there's the intellectual impulse to analyze and understand events with the benefit of hindsight, but deep down, the heart of historical study is a desire to connect with people. To bridge the gulf of time and space and get to know people despite the fact that they lived in a completely different century.
History's not just dry lists of dates and names and theories. It's people. It's personalities. It's quirks and memories and stories. It's knowing that a historical figure isn't just a face on a monument, or a source of information, but a guy who can tell really funny stories. And I wanted to share this quote because it really understands the humanity of history in a way I rarely see expressed.

OKAYOKAY, question because a lot of people have different answers in the Deltarune community and I wanna hear your take on it!
How long do you think the Ads have been around? Time clearly moves differently from the light world versus the dark world, with Jevil being in jail "for an odd hundred years" and the darkners having full backstories supposedly on a portal that seems open yesterday. (Personally, I like to think they always existed and the dark world only made them personally accessible to the lightners [double-sided since they interact daily] within that day. Especially since the "Spamton is 45, May 3rd 1978." headcannon is near and dear to my heart. I love middle-aged men with trauma. I also REALLY like the idea that Spam was in his early twenties when he was at the peak of his fame, (if they have adolecent years of any kind) and then completely fell off before he reached his thirties. Especially since a lot of people consider that to be the prime of their lives.
On that topic, how long do you think the Adds were friends before Spamton went MIA? Do you think they had some type of childhood years? Is there a significant age gap between any of them? How many years did they have a relationship to where his absence significantly impacted their lives like that? I'd love to hear it <3
thanks for asking!! i'm actually rlly intrigued at this topic :D
I don't think the addisons have such a thing as a 'childhood' or 'adolescent years' actually haha like i imagine them as quite literal programs, who once developed by lightners, just kinda spawn into their cyber world, already familiar with how to operate. The concept of age is irrelevant, but is replaced with 'order of appearance'. Honestly i've always headcanoned spamton as the first addison on the scene, with the next following later. (Online advertisements rlly got hot in the early 90's, so there's a definite gap between him and the rest of the ads).
spamton's just always had that middle-aged shady car salesman vibe to him ever since moment one to me.
i'd feel they were around spamton for quite some time before he got his special call, say a couple years or even close to a decade. enough time to have been a witness of the extent of his desperation, while also getting to know the good side of him to max out their regret by the time we meet them in the trash zone.
but like in the concept of time it's so weird from light world to dark world. Like jevil's been locked away for ~100 years but the extra classroom hasn't been unused for that long presumably? That and spamton's whole deal and timeline. Truly, I've pondered that time also gets a metaphoric transition into the dark world, and becomes weird. Kind of like how the light world characters have a set time compared to us, the players, who are waiting 2+ years for their 'tomorrow'. It's kind of like that but for the dark worlds. I'm clinging to time being sort of ambiguous until it's explained in further chapters :D
i do share the headcanon where the fountain being opened let the dark world be accessible, as we get spade king's whole deal of their world being abandoned=the extra classroom closed and then him like hating lightners.
even if i'm completely wrong lol i will die holding the "spamton is a middle-aged guy with trauma" headcanon so close to my heart and everybody else can try to pry it from my cold dead hands :)

[fic: double blind] Question for Peter from the "double Tony" AU, the one with sim!Tony and cured!Tony existing simultaneously:
Does having a version of Tony that did all hose horrible things being it's own separate person make it harder or easier on you? Are you open to having some communication with the evil Tony, maybe in order to deal with the whole evil plan that he made and, yknow, all the crimes he committed, or do you just want nothing to do with him and that's it? And generally, just how do you feel in this good dad/bad dad situation?
Well… easier, because I have Dad around now too. It was… it was really hard when it was just me. And… the other one… is kind of different, now…? I'm not stupid, I don't think he's, like-- cured, but he's not just… ignoring everything I say anymore.
…I've talked to him. We do have to… figure things out, and… he won't listen to Dad at all, so-- it works better when we all talk together. Um, Dad doesn't like it, he doesn't want me to have to talk to the other one ever, but I just… if I can get through to him for real, then we're all safer, right? Like, even if he gets put in prison or whatever… I don't know, it's-- I'm afraid he'd just break out if he's not actually…
S-so anyway, yeah, I've talked to him.
