is it me or everyone is making tinn's mom the big villain when there's nothing notable happening? i mean, ok she looked her son's phone without authorisation but she didn't search anything. yes she's the type of intrusive parent but not too much, or i'm being too nice. her son doesn't talk to her anymore (understandably), doesn't trust her anymore and it's making her sad. she wants answers and not doing it so in the best of ways. so because of that she's the villain?
i think about that scene where she's crying with her husband. it may not be related though.
could you explain what do i miss please.
people are saying that?? i don't think she's a villain! when she looked over at tinn's phone i was like GIRL U BETTER STOP and she did! all she saw was gun calling and i think she's smart enough to connect dots, but doesn't want to push tinn into saying something he isn't comfortable talking with her about yet. maybe in that vein she has the self awareness that most people think she has some personal dislike of the music club ex when she had to confiscate the instruments and tinn AND her own husband thought she was being cruel - she wasn't! needs must, however unfortunate, but i would hope she can look back on things and see how from her son's pov it may seem like she would be totally against his dating gun.
that isnt even to mention the queer aspect of when she assumed tinn must like a girl - he almost told her right then, if she hadn't interjected her assumptions, and maybe she can recall that moment and recognise her mistake in affecting how open her son feels he can be with her. it took hardly any time knowing gim - the mother of his crush - for tinn to feel comfortable admitting everything to her literally everything that he's done for gun thus far. that's saying something.
i think a big part of their relationship has been her guiding tinn in the direction she thinks will benefit him the most. but hopefully she will see tinn is a good, kind, rational (mostly fjsjdks) boy and have no problem with his seeing gun aside from the tricks he used to do so (ex lying about the tutoring at the apartment - a week alone and unsupervised with his crush!), while making an effort to understand her role in why tinn felt he had to go to such lengths to keep it all from her.

How many of y'all wanted to yell "YOUR KID IS GAY" at Tinn's mom when she was watching him have a perfectly innocuous conversation with two girls? Because I'm on watch #3 for episode 10, and each time my brain is shouting "YOUR KID IS GAY YOUR KID IS GAY YOUR KID IS GAY" and that's accompanied by the thought, "You better not make trouble for him, lady."
I'm doing fine, just fine.

Jokes about Tinn being a drama queen aside, I really did appreciate how he handled the wait at the beginning of the episode so so well. We clearly see how much he's frustrated by the separation, but with Gun himself he's nothing but supportive and patient. He's so respectful to Gun's request and doesn't put any extra pressure on him.
And in return Gun really does tell him immediately when he finishes and actually bikes to his house in the middle of the night!! Truly showing us that YES this relationship is so mutual and they're so *vague fluffy gesture*

My School President color question: Should we read into Tinn's dad also wearing blue in the last episode as a way to draw comparison between him and Gun?
BESTIE @bengiyo! BB! Ben-ha-mean! Bad Benny! Eggs Benny!
I'm happy you asked this question but slightly bothered you only asked about the dad instead of asking about the two bigger influences - the moms, so I'm flipping your ask and giving you
My School President - PTA Edition
I'll start with the biggest GunTinn shipper, Gim:
She normally wore red and blue (the greenish colors are blue, I swear). However, she wore black each time her headaches occurred.
And when she got the news about the potential tumor, she was wearing yellow, which yellow represents caution, anxiety, and sickness.
I truly thought Gim was going to die since they had her in black and yellow in these pivotal scenes (which is why I'm terrified for my little Lamb Chop in Never Let Me Go), but she made it out alive! So let's transition to the next parent, Photjanee:
A lot of people unnecessarily hated on Photjanee, when she was playing it nice and neutral. Not all parents can be shippers like Gim, but Photjanee wasn't actively trying to crush people's hopes AND she was actually in Gun's corner.
Each time Tinn got closer to Gun, Photjanee's color did too. When Tinn asked to spend the night with the band in the school, when Tinn asked to go on the beach trip (peach because he didn't disclose it was with the band), when Photjanee planned to ask Tinn about Gun, and when Gun and Tinn danced at prom, Photjanee wore hues of (Gun's) red.
Much like Gim, the only time Photjanee wore yellow is when she was anxious and cautious after the picture of Tinn and Gun kissing was released to the entire school.
But she called her husband, and he helped her figure out what to do, which brings me to the last parent and your ask, Tinn's dad:
Just like his wife, Tinn's dad (did he have a name?!) played it safe and neutral. Also like his wife, he wore the peach color when unknowingly helping Tinn get closer to Gun.
So to your ask:
Should we read into Tinn's dad also wearing blue in the last episode as a way to draw comparison between him and Gun?
Yes and no.
Blue is Tinn's color, so really, like Gun wearing blue, Tinn's dad is showing his alliance with his son. He's letting his son know that he accepts him and loves him. He helps alleviate tension at the dinner table, and even helps Tinn by getting Photjanee to agree to let Gun spend the night IN TINN'S ROOM!
Photjanee did this as well. Before we knew she was Tinn's mom, the very first time we see her in the very first episode, she wears blue.
Because they love their son.
And Gun loves their son too.
