Its 3:59 am, and I just finished reading 'The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo"
Im honestly not sure if it's my all nighter or the depth and the absolutely amazing way this was written that had me at the verge of googling up Evelyn Hugo to read up about her

Plot: Derya and Joel have been friends for a while. He's a hockey player, she's a figure skater. They both love the ice. They like to be a little competitive.. maybe a little flirty? But here's a little contest to see who is best.
The rink had cleared out, for the most part. It was open to whoever still wanted to practice and work on their respective skills. There was a little net set up for the hockey players who wanted to use half the ice, the other half was wide open in case any figure skaters wanted to practice on skills. Derya loved this part of the day. Most everyone who had used the open ice time had cleared out, and gone home. Only the most dedicated remained, or the most insane of the most dedicated, she hadn't decided which.
Looking over at the hockey side, she wasn't surprised to catch sight of her friends. Taner was there, so was Joel, although it appeared like Taner was being called away by his older brother. She offered the brothers a wave before skating over to Joel, only to skate a lazy circle around him when she did reach him.
"And then there was one..." she observed in a sing-song voice before coming to a stop with her hands on her hips. "Tell me, hot shot, with all this practicing that you do and that I do... who do you wonder is better on the ice overall?"
Back here again. And on this specific month, as well. A young girl catches his attention, prompting the older man to comment.
"Oh, I guess Halloween is a thing here too, eh?" Just then, Toji is reminded of something. Now why did he have such a vivid impression of Halloween? How odd. Pushing that thought to the side for now, he brought his attention back to the girl.
"What? You want candy? Sorry, don't got any on me right now."
Casimir Tully seemed to have an ever growing list of anxieties. Longer and longer it seemed to trail down the page, and in the recent nights, he found himself starring at the ceiling more than he found himself sleeping. His people, his family -- safety, security, and how he’d go about ensuring all of it. It was stark change to his life nearly a year ago, when he’d been breathing in the dry Essos air and taking his anger out on his foes with a quick draw of his blade.
But, he was sure he’d done at least one thing right in his short reign. Almost sure, anyways -- because the last time he’d talked with his youngest sister, he’d taken the time to quickly remove any and all heavy or sharp objects from the room. When he’d told her she was to wed, that the time had come for her childhood to end...
That he needed her help to ensure his reign. It was something he’d never wanted for her, for any of his sisters. Casimir wanted nothing more than to give them the life that Grover had denied them, and yet... yet he had asked the same of her as their father had of him, of Iona, of their eldest sister.
He was only almost sure, because in her eyes, he was likely no better than him.
Casimir had woken early that morning -- rather, he’d never gone to sleep -- and had quickly set about making sure all of the preparations were complete for his sister’s arrival. Riverrun was near unrecognizable now, old rooms turned into new. Windows long closed now wide open to let in the lush air, and the place seemed... brighter than it once had. Warmer.
It was just past noon when he made his way to the courtyard, only moments before the carriage stalled to a stop. And when the horses pawed at the ground and the door open, even if he was only almost sure, he hoped he had done a good thing. That Elyse was happy as she stepped outside, and he quickly walked to meet her -- and he soon heard the faint cries of an infant, and the sound was enough to make something in his chest fill with pride. Flooded with warmth, paired with a strange feeling of relief.
“Hello, little fish,” He said -- smiling, or as much as he did in recent months -- as he held out a hand to help her down to the ground. Would she take it? “I’ve had your rooms prepared. Two cradles.”
She hadn’t completely expected Brighton to accept the invitation. Not many younger people would be seen at a bowing alley; but perhaps his friendliness was another kindness. She’d been so embarrassed, needing help from an actual park ranger. Needing help at all, really.. Yet, he’d been friendly the entire time; seemingly unbothered.
A final tug at her laces, and Olivia sat back up to smile at her company. “So,” she exhaled the word as a sharp breath. “How have you been? No news at the park is, I assume, good news?”
It wasn’t a league nigh, so the place wasn’t busy enough to need yelling over. Lucky them. Her food would be delivered soon, too. As much as she avoided junk food at home, the deep fried bowling alley fare was hard to resist.
Yu, regretfully, has never had the chance to a cat—animal cafe before, but he knows places like it exist in Tokyo. Luckily, he stumbled across one here; it's a bit embarrassing how excited he was at the discovery. At some point in the middle of petting a cat, he's somehow entered a conversation with a stranger. Of course, the topic immediately leads somewhere where Yu has zero expertise.
"I... don't actually know that much about idols," This is so awkward... "Sorry if I'm supposed to recognize you."
