I am trying something new (to me) in regards to starters. In the past, I often found myself saying, "Well, my muse has no established relationship with your muse. They have never met." And thus nearly every thread started with formal introductions and slowly fizzled out from there because there was no real goal attached to the situation. While it makes perfect sense to establish that these characters do not yet know each other at some early point in these introductory threads, I feel that making that the entire focus of the thread doesn't lend to a greater story in most cases. As such, I am doing away with formal introductions as a starting point and instead throwing our characters into a fun situation with a lot of wiggle room!

This, of course, applies to pantsed threads with characters that my muse has no canon interaction with — or threads that have not been plotted. If this ends up working out, great! If not, that's perfectly fine, and I can always go back to introductory threads (ex. "Hello, how are you? I don't believe we've met."), but I thought this might be a fun little shift to help both of us keep the ball rolling.

Not sure who will see this, but this week I am going to be busy. If I only reply to a few threads I am sorry it is because I am being a bit selective this week mostly do the fact I am busy and have to finish a few little things before the big day Saturday along with being a bit stressed hoping everything goes well. I see lots of posts about the harms of fitness culture and while its true the industry mindset sucks…

Please at least move your body a little to keep your joints limber, drink water, and eat your food.

You dont have to go into a full exercise routine, trust me they can suck if you dont use the right one. Just get up and stretch every few minutes to keep your circulation going and to undo stiffness. One day you might stick to a whole routine and then quit. Thats also fine. Just remember that its supposed to be self care.

I dont have to explain why food and water are so important. I cant tell you how many times i made myself miserable while trying to figure out how i wanted to eat. I chose to spread out how i ate more (smaller meals more snacks). Find something that fills you up AND provides nutrition. Read. Your. Labels. Lots of foods will have what they provide on the nutrition facts. You dont have to adhere to it. Eat what you like until youre full, just remember that even if something claims to be “calorie dense” DOES NOT MEAN ITS NUTRITIONALLY GOOD. Some foods you just get more out of.

Body builders might work out a lot for hypertrophy but having a low body fat % is not healthy i wish all body builders a good show and a strong bulk after but that is NOT a life i need to live. Unless youre building definition for competition, you dont need it.

ok well, now that i've organized my thoughts and had a few days to myself to marinate, here's what i'm planning on doing with my blog. because let's face it; i overwhelmed myself, and i know it may not have looked that way bc i haven't been all that active ( but that's thanks to my wrist ) but every time i looked at my drafts and asks, i wanted to explode. so

i'm doing a complete cleanup

i'll be clearing up some of my followers, mostly people who've not shown interest, and people that are inactive. i'll be sb'ing just in case there's someone i do sb who wants to interact, they're free to refollow. so if i break mutuals but you wanna write, just refollow i really don't mind.

i'm going to be focusing primarily on plotted interactions from here on out. i think i made mention of this before but just in case, plotted is the best way to go. as well as that, asks will also be the best method of writing with me. i don't necessarily mind spontaneous stuff  ( unless i've specifically asked for it, like i liked a starter call for example )  but i definitely function better when it's pre-plotted, even if it's just a skeleton outline of a plot. something basic to get the ball rolling, it doesn't have to be anything extravagent or heavily thought out.

i've cleaned up my askbox and deleted things i didn't feel i had muse for. there's still plenty in there, but i'll be reblogging memes and stuff periodically. feel free to send me memes even if we've never written before, or already have multiple threads. i literally Do Not Care i love answering asks. just specify muse(s) if needed!

likewise, i'm going to be dropping a good chunk of threads, mostly stuff that wasn't plotted ahead of time. there's some exceptions of course, which i've already messaged people about, but ye. if i dropped something we had this doesn't mean i don't want to write with you, it just means that i wasn't feeling what we had going but i'm open to starting something new. also, as a note, i'd really prefer shorter stuff if possible just bc long threads take the wind out of me but i'm still very much open to writing longer stuff as long as you don't mind it taking me more time to reply.

i'll be making more effort to make the first move. more than likely just sending in memes whenever i see you reblog some, that sort of stuff. if you aren't ok with that, i'd recommend sb'ing me! ( or hb'ing if that's ur thing )

i'm making minor adjustments to my writing style  &&  formatting. so if it seems a little odd from time to time, it's just bc i'm experimenting.

i think it's safe to say that at the moment, my heaviest muses are my SVSSS characters ( Shen Qingqiu, Luo Binghe, Yue Qingyuan, Liu Qingge ), and my HSR characters  ( Welt, Aventurine, Dan Feng, Phainon, Jiaoqiu ). i'm absolutely open to plotting with other characters of mine, this is just something to keep in mind. i know it sounds bad i just can't help it sadflkjghdslfjk they're the loudest right now i fear

i think that's it? i'm making some minor adjustments to my muse list in a few, taking away some characters  &&  adding in some that i didn't have listed before. i've got to update links and shit too but i'll worry about that tomorrow LOL.

vibe check! well idek how to call it tbh. i'm just tossing this out there, because i linked a similar post to my rules, but i wrote that like many years ago, so this is like a new version.

tj's a natural flirt, he would flirt with his shadow if he could. honestly it's like breathing to him lol so chances are if our muses interact, he might throw out a few flirty comments, it's just part of how he acts (it's also very dependant on which verse/state of mind he is, but it's there in some degree) and definitely doesn't mean i'm trying to ship them nor force a ship of you, unless it naturally goes that way based on chemistry or we talk about it occ. your muse can totally react however feels right for them, whether they flirt back, shut it down, or ignore it entirely.

that being said, and because i'm always scared of stepping in someone else's boundaries, if you’re cool with that kind of dynamic popping up, feel free to like this post so i know it’s okay! no pressure at all. if you'd prefer tj tone it down or not go that route with your muse, i'll take not liking this post as a cue, or if you prefer shooting me a quick msg that's cool too
