// I'm fairly sure there is no Christmas in the Rain World universe. However, I can imagine slugcats celebrating some kind of holiday, probably based on the movement of celestial bodies, or seasons, perhaps a remembrance day dedicated to ancestors, or a local deity. You won't see organized religion in my AU, but spirituality does play a role in this universe.

One of these days I want to come up with a set of base concepts for things like... time, science, system of measurements, writing and literature, tropes, folklore, and so on. I'll admit it's not my forte, I like to think I excel at character interactions, depicting the raw emotion that feels believable. Inventing lore is a lot of work, but I have seen fellow RW fans come up with very compelling ideas for stuff like language, for example. I'm hoping to use some of that in my work, should the artist(s) give me permission. Fingers crossed!

Got too much wool... their mom was a VERY wooly sheep (think equivalent of a baby doll) and although they inherited about half as much, it still is a hassle to deal with. Not exactly sexy, but it does give 70s Workout Clothes vibes!

The PC connecting to a tarsyu and seeing Aha’ri.

Except she’s small. Smaller than when they were in TAP and is wearing what looks to be Sarentu clothing. An Aha’ri who still has a bright, innocent glint in her eye and has never experienced the weight of trying to care for an entire clan of orphans. An Aha’ri who has never walked through a massacre, been abused at TAP, or gotten shot in the back.

An Aha’ri that’s from a time the PC can’t remember.

This Aha’ri looks up and exclaims that their little sibling has gotten so big! And looks so strong!! What have they been doing?!

The PC looks at this child who is so painfully small. Who is both familiar and not. And does not know what to say.

im a rather young artist but ive been drawing for around 3 years so i feel very discouraged with my progress. around what time did you become comfortable with your art?

this took me a while to reply, hope you are still around anon. I really mean it when i say "i have always been drawing". i could dig up even older drawings i did (courtesy of momerrino's inability to trow anything away) but sorting through that could take forever...

i was around 14 in 2009 i am 30 now. idk improving takes time and patience. and perhaps even to learn to appreciate your own pen ship.

Yesterday (and this morning) I failed to make those cute Vox's shimeji work on my pc (the lil Voxs that should run all around your desktop)

I was super sad but I did this doodle with a pen while installing and uninstalling java trying to make it work

Visited some friends over the weekend and got to play an in person dnd library one shot ❤️ I made a deep gnome cleric/ranger who works in book binding/restoration

-Our drow wizard (Bug) was obsessed with the goliath paladin (Voski) -my deep gnome (Ula) and the bugbear (Valk) as the official library workers who both have library branded bottles of boundless coffee. for all the bullshit -yes one pc is a goblin edna mode (her name is Greta Lode) - she's a fashion bard -our goliath activated large form AFTER the danger had passed

+7/8/2023 update at the end

mistaken identity fic based on the knowledge that red son is unaware of MK’s monkie form. MK sneaks into a demon gala/formal event to crash any demon shenanigans (aka hang out with red son) any does so by using his monkie form. He finds red son, who, by some miracle, finds Mk completely unrecognizable and assumes that MK is a suitor or a kind of representative wanting to make ties with the demon bull family.

However red son, at this time harboring a crush for MK and possibly pining over him for a while, still recognizes enough features to see a resemblance to MK. Feeling as if he could never actually date MK himself, red son decides to try for second best and ends up flirting with what he believes to be a monkie demon Mk-lookalike. MK, while he does pick up that something is a little odd with the situation, shrugs it off and reciprocates red son’s flirting, ending up in them making mayhem and having cliche formal event-dancing-lights-shipping moments.

The night ends in MK feeling like their relationship has grown (possibly to something more, he hopes), and red son believing he’s fixed his ‘half-sided’ pining issue.

Imo this could be a funny fic like From Three Thirty to Four by Pittedpeaches (will always plug this fic bc it’s awesome and if you haven’t already read it go and do that now bc it’s hilarious) where MK and red son keep coincidentally only meeting like this when MK’s in monkie form and shenanigans ensue,

But alternatively I did originally imagine this as a kind of angst hurt/comfort fic where red son starts to feel dissatisfied with his ‘replacement’ and deals with feeling guilty about dating someone he feels is so similar to Mk while also remaining friends/enemies with him. They would eventually actually get together in the end, but I like hurt/comfort fics so making this art was fun. ^^

July 8th Update - I have decided to write a single chapter for this idea and here is the announcement post for more info - fic isn’t posted yet but if you guys want more when it is make sure to comment/reblog telling me so ^^
