Tirol

Water is essential for life, be it of fauna or flora. Water is a important element in keeping things alive. Land or sea, water is everything. There is nothing to argue about that. And no one knows better than the reef na'vi.

Water is their very life. A piece of their soul, their whole being. So who is this human to say she understands them?

Well meet Tirol. A human who came along with the Sully family. Many of the Metkayina clan were hesitant to accept Tirol. But the sully family that out of everyone in the family, Tirol needs to live here. Tonowari nor Ronal understood what they meant by that. Until one certain day.

During practice, Tsireya, ao'nung and rotxo were too busy helping neteyam and lo'ak that they didn't see tuk getting carried away by a sudden wave. She couldn't hold her breath much longer and was beginning to drown.

Lo'ak was the first to notice, screaming out tuk's name, the other teens turned and all panicked, quickly swimming towards tuk, but they were too far, they wouldn't make it in time!

tirol who was in the marui doing something heard the teens screaming out for tuk. She turns to see tuk struggling to keep her head above water. Panic struck her and without a second thought, Tirol jumps into the water to save tuk.

In less than 3 seconds, tirol grabbed tuk and held her above water. Tuk was choking out the water but was breathing alright and hugged tilor tightly.

Neteyam and lo'ak reached the two girls and released heavy sighs, checking on their little sister making sure she is ok.

Tsireya, ao'nung and rotxo stayed where they were, confused. A human is smaller, thus less energy and not as fast as a na'vi. So how was tirol able to make it to tuk when she was at the same distance at them yet made to tuk faster?

As the three swam closer, their heads still above water, ao'nung couldn't help but ask. "How were you able to swim with your little human legs?" ao'nung asks, tsireya hits him slightly at the back of his head which doesn't phase him.

The sully kids chuckled as tilor smiles. "Look underwater" was all she said. The three did so, and almost choked, they couldn't believe it, everything about it was beautiful as it was strange.

Instead of human legs, what they saw was one big long tail with fins! The scales glistening against the underwater lighting, the colors shinning through giving is a shiny look. The scales were of something else, blending the tail and the upper part of human skin. The tail was so hypnotizing, the fins were also of something else. Transparent yet elegant looking, flowing so beautifully.

Tisreya was amazed, she had never seen anything like it before! Lifting her head up, smiling so excitedly. "Amazing! your tail is so beautiful!", Tirol blushes slightly but is happy she nor the boys are freaked out. Rotxo came up, letting his mouth run before his mind, "how can you pee??". Both ao'nung and tsireya hit his head double time.

"please excuse my friends stupidity" ao'nung says. Toril giggles in amusement, "it is alright, but I am not going to answer that question". "Are all humans like you?" tsireya asks, tirol shakes her head. "Not really, I am called a siren".

"How about we talk more in the shallow areas" neteyam suggests, everyone agrees and does so. Gathering in a circle so everyone can admire tirol's tail, questions were being made.

"So what is a siren?" tsireya was the first to ask. Tirol and smiles and answers, "a siren is half human fish, we have the godly ability to sing. But not just singing a lovely tune no, our voice is our power. I can lure anyone with my voice in a hypnotizing way, and I lead them wherever I please".

The three reed children stared in amazement. "Have you ever used your...power before?" ao'nung asked. Tirol nods and explains further, "I have, I even assisted in battles against the sky demons, I would hide in the deepest lakes, violent rivers, and lure the sky demons to me. Once they reach the deep areas, I would remove their masks and drown them. It has taken time but it is more silent and effective".

The more tilor explains, the more entranced they are. Of course they would ask her to sing but was denied of request, "Whenever I sing, even if I don't mean to on purpose, anyone who hears me will be affected and I don't want that".

The three kids nodded and rotxo asked, "is that why you came with the sully family? Because of the wide ocean?". Tirol answered as she began to weave some seaweed, "two reasons really. The first is yes, because of the ocean. I loved the lakes and rivers but I longed for wide spaces, swim more than tight narrow areas. Second is for what I am. Once the sky demons found out what I am capable of, they will be after me. So joining the sully family, I came here. And I am so happy that they brought me. I love the ocean! the reefs, the animals, everything, truly I feel more at home than in the lakes and rivers".

Rotxo grinned and stood up, "well come on then. Lets see if your tail makes you faster than us" he challenged. Smiling at the invination, tilor was quick to move through the shallow water, making rotxo eat sand.

Laughing and new feeling of energy, everyone went back to the water and swim along side tirol. With her beautiful tail, she looked at home under water. Communicating with na'vi sing language, she said her under water jokes. The reef kids loved her jokes will the sully kids cringed at how terrible they were.

After a long day of swimming, everyone returned to their homes tired. Tirol sat at the edge of the walk ways, drying her tail for her legs to return. Tuk and kiri sat beside, handing her a bowl of freshly cooked stew. "I swam so much today, weird to say I am glad I am feeling sore and tired. I never used this much energy back at home" tirol says with a big smile on her face.

"We can tell, you swam none stop all day, but I am happy you like it here. You seemed to adjust more quicker than the rest of us" kiri comments. Tiorl pulls tuk on her lap and tuk feeds her. "Yes, but in no time the rest of you guys will adjust too. This is our home now".

The next few weeks, the whole metkayina clan now knew of tirol's ability, while she still refuses to sing, she speaks stories of her ancestors, and tales of her fallen sister clan, the mermaids.

Ronal and Tonowari were amazed of tirol's skills and all that makes her a siren. They were quick to accept her more than the sully family. Which the family dont take offence to, but tirol uses her new found acceptance as a bridge to get the two along.

To say, Tirol truly feels at home, being where she truly belongs, in the ocean. Where it is her natural home, and thrive in her true element with her long time friends and her found friends.

Tonowari x Fem Reader x Ronal (poly mates)/ Aonung x Tsireya x Rotxo x Fem Reader (platonic/parental relationship):

Back story on the Reader she has a scar on one of her eyes and is blind in that same eye, is mated to Tonowari and Ronal. Came up with this idea while listening to Beauty and the Beast by Kurt Hugo Schneider and Chase Holfelder.

Anyways, this will mostly focus on the Reader’s relationship with the children. Basically one day when the children go over to get the Sully’s they notice that Tsireya is not with them and they wonder why. So they do their training as normal and it’s the end of the day and Tsireya never showed up. And this paderen goes on for a while before one day none of the children show in tge morning and then the Sully children get really curious and try to find them only to see the they are fighting an adult (from an outsiders perspective). And they tell Kiri and Tuk to go find their parents while they go try to help. When the boys try to intervene they get beat and when the parents finally show up Jake is the first one to jump in and help the children. You choose how it ends. Thank you.

Playing the role of warrior and mother had been something you had to learn to balance many years ago, as you had to balance your responsibilities to the clan and your people along with your responsibilities as a mother. It was not easy at the start but over time it become easy for you but there will be some struggles as well. There were times when playing the role of warrior and mother will be in sync, and there was no denying those roles. Even when it had involve your kids playing the role of warrior and mother was no denying the call

Tisreya “ mama” you are training with a wooden staff when you had heard Tsireya voice, you soon stopped what you were doing and looked at her.

Y/n “ hello my sweet girl”

tisreya “ mama I came to ask you for some help”

Y/n “ what the matter my love you can tell me”:

Tsireya “ if I tell you please don’t tell baba and mom please”

Y/n “ sure my love so tell me what the matter I’m here to listen and help” you had placed some comforting hands on tisreya shoulder, as she soon looked up to you.

Tsireya “ mama can you train me to defend myself, I want to be like you keeping the people safe with healing and defending them as well”

Y/n “ sure my love I can do that for you” tsireya smiled towards you and after that day, you had spent time teaching tsireya some ways to defend herself. Until you had to leave for a bit to visit some other clans,and during your time away new arrivals had come.

Months later

Neteyam “ hey guys we are ready for today lessons”

Loak “ hey where is Reya”the sully kids are gathered with Ao’nung and Rotox, but they are missing tisreya.

Rotox “ oh she busy at the moment with some other matter”

Kiri “ what is that if you don’t me asking”

Ao’nung “ her own lesson that are private don’t worry she will be around”

Loak “ aww I was hoping to see her today”

Tuk “ yes I wanted to see her as well”

lo'ak " yeah tell us more about what she doing as she always here, leading the lessons"

rotxo " she busy with some private lessons like we said they are very important to her"

lo'ak " so what is she doing can we do it as well"

kiri " yeah it sounds very interesting and we have been perfecting everything else"

Neteyam “ come on you three we can see her later lets get on with our lessons"

lo'ak " fine we will go on with the lessons"

kiri " we will wait to see tisreya later on"

tuk " can we collect sea shells with her after she gets back"

aonung " sure tuk we can" the rest of the day had gone well with the lessons, there had been some questions and wonder about where tsireya had gone off to for the day. The sully kids had thought she was with ronal but when they pass by the healer hut she was not there, and then there was tonowari and she was not with them.

Later on that day

lo'ak " she has to be somewhere around here" the sully kids are looking for tsireya as she hadn't show up yet, and they are together as aonung and rotxo had been called awya by their father.

neteyam " I wonder where she could be"

kiri " we haven't been able to find her anywhere else yet and she not with ronal or tonowari"

tuk " I really wanted to see her today and show her I got better at swimming"

neteyam " you can show her when we find her"

lo'ak " wait I know where we can find her tisreya had showed me this beach she might be there" the group had nodded their head and followed lo'ak towards this beach when they heard the sound, of wood smack against each other and the sound of sand moving.

lo'ak " huh" the sully kids were hidden behind and massive rock as they peaked out to see tsireay was holding a staff in her hands, while she was fighting off someone that was unknown to the sully kids. eya.

lo'ak " we have to help her reya in danger that stranger is trying to attack her, what if that rda avatar"

neteyam " tuk kiri go get dad and tell tonowari what happing"

kiri " yes sure come on tuk quickly" the two girls had taken off as the boys had gotten out their blades ready to help tsireya again this outsider who might be with the rda. The two boys had gotten into position to run at the stranger and attack soon let out warrior calls.

With mother and daughter

y/n " you are getting good my daughter moving quickly in the sand, while carrying a staff defending yourself ... you are very good leaner"

tsireya " thanks mama"

y/n " in no time you will be able to knock down one any warrior teen or young adults, it will take time for you to take down an adult"

tisreya " yes mama" your soon stopped what you were doing as you heard something lifting up your hand, stopping the lessons as you look at your daughter.

tsireay " mama"

y/n " I feel something about to happen" you soon heard a call that gotten you attention you back had been turned, but you soon swag you staff knocking down who ever was coming near you.

tsireay " lo'ak neteyam" the two boys are now in the sand some of their body covered in sand and hair a bit a mess as well.

y/n " hello boys how may I help you both today"

lo'ak " leave tsireay alone you outsider"

y/n " so you are lo'ak and neteyam daughter you are right about them"

neteyam " daughter"

tsireya " this is my mama a good warrior as you can see"

y/n " I have to give you boys some praise you did a good attack and were fighting to defend my daughter along with saving her... that is good and makes you both warriors in spirt but you will need more time of learning" both boys look up at you as you were talking with them.

neteyam " that was amazing ma'am how did you heard us coming"

y/n " your footsteps and your call if you are going to sneak up, on someone you need to me much quieter then you both were right now"

lo'ak " thank you ... we never got your name"

y/n " I'm y/n and you boys are lucky I go easy on the youth of the clan then adults"

tsireya " she not lying" the boys had forgotten for that time that they sent their sisters to go get help, It was to late to say anything as you soon heard something else getting your attention. You had soon swag you staff hitting someone in the face, and another one in the chest. You had soon dropped the star as you had tossed one of them over you shoulder into the water, as another one came and you soon grabbed them and kicked them into the water. once that was over you soon kicked your staff into the air and caught it, soon pointing it towards the two adult males.

y/n " now see this what I do with adults that try to attack me from behind" you are looking at Jake sully and tsu'tey was they are in the water looking at you.

lo'ak " dad"

neteyam " uncle tsu'tey"

y/n " oh so family" soon some other warriors had come along with tonowari.

tonowari " y/n jake tsutery"

y/n " tonowair good we all each other name good for us all"

Jake " I was told by my daughetrs that this women here was attacking your daughter and that my sons came to help her" tonowari and the metkayian warriors had fallen out laughing.

tsu'tey " what going on" Jake and Tsu'tey had gotten out of the water and soon looked at group, they were feeling a bit embarrassed as well.

tonowari " she my second mate and tsireya mom she will never hurt trsireya"

y/n " yes I was out here with my daughter and I'm no outsider to the clan"

tonowari " what were you two doing out here anyways"

tisreya " well mama has been training me baba in defending myself"

tonowari " yawne"

y/n " she asked and I said yes you and ronal are not the only ones that can help out kids learn, and she doing well"

tonowari " we are going to talk about this later" you had nodded your head and looked at Tsireya smiling, knowing that there will be some fuss but either one of you will be in trouble. After the whole scene was calmed down the group had went back to the village, there were some questions asked towards you and you answered them. It seems like you had won over the sully family and their clan, tonowari and ronal were a bit upset about the whole lesson but soon came to terms with it seeing the tsireya loved it and was learning as well.

One thing that had enchanted you about the Metcayina clan was their fascination with tattoos. Ohh and you were an expert at that. You had many tattoos adorning your body.

Ronal had told you that one of the women of the clan made beautiful tattoos. And more if they were of the beautiful designs that adorned the skin of the navi.

You wanted to get a tattoo on your back. So you were on your way to this woman's marui. While you had two very curious girls behind you. Kiri and tsireya.

"When I grow up I can have my first tattoo, it's a sign of strength adulthood" says tsireya. As she jumped up and down behind you. "Ahhh so I'm more than ready" you joke. "But auntie y/n, you're not that old" asks kiri. "mmm no…but I can get any tattoos I want" you speak up. "When I grow up I want to be like auntie y/n" says tisreya excitedly.

The girls imitated you in everything, even if you were human. This was a culture shock for Ronal. Her daughter imitating a person from the sky. But she couldn't deny that you were adorable.

On the way you met roxto, your favorite child. You couldn't let lo'ak and neteyam know that, but roxto had stolen your heart. The boy was your tail, he was always by your side. " Auntie y/n…you have to be careful. I heard that getting those tattoos hurt a lot" the boy is worried.

You were sitting on the floor, while the woman in charge of the tattoos was doing her work on your back. While your nephews surrounded you. They were looking at you with such admiration, the needles they were using were very painful. And you were sitting there, talking and eating a piece of fruit. You were so calm.

"It really doesn't hurt?" asks neteyam, coming closer to your back. Looking at the work you were doing on it. "Mmm no, I think the one on my arm hurt more" you say, raising your arm. Showing it to the children, who were now surprised.

Your nephews had already seen your tattoo, but your new nephews hadn't seen it in detail. Tsireya takes your arm, and traces the patterns of the drawing. "It looks beautiful!!!" she is excited. She was already imagining what she would look like with her own tattoos.

After finishing, you leave the Marui hurting. Lo'ak and neteyam accompany you to the marui you shared with your family. Jake sees that you are a little sore. "So what happened to you?" Jake asks. You laugh, and turn away. Showing off your new tattoo.

A nice tattoo, that covered your whole back. "my eywa…it's beautiful" neytiri says coming closer to take a closer look. "I'll put some paste on it to take care of your skin" neytiri stands up still amazed. "Mmmm no big deal" says jake.

You approach your brother, sticking your tongue out at him. " Envy…envy is what you feel" You start joking with your brother. Making him roll his eyes. "Ma jake you look a little jealous," says neytiri. Laughing at the relationship you and her partner had. She always found her adorable.

Lo'ak sits next to his father. Jake could notice that lo'ak had some patterns on his wrist. Jake picks up his son's wrist and saw a tattoo that went all the way around his wrist. "Ahh I forgot to tell you guys…. I told lo'ak that he could get a tattoo for his birthday" you laugh. Jake and neytiri's mouths drop open, while lo'ak walks over to you, laying his head on your shoulder. Making eyes at you, he knew his parents wouldn't do anything to him if his aunt Y/N was by his side.

You were with Tuk, Lo’ak, and Kiri, Neteyam on the ground gasping for air “This is my fault i shouldn’t have ever-“ “Lo’ak! this isn’t your fault you were doing what you thought was right, saving your sisters because that what brothers do” You say stern enough to get him to stop rambling while still putting pressure on the wound going threw his side.

Tisreya hugged Lo’ak seeing the tears in his eyes she then bend down and hugged you she then looks at you and put her hand on you shoulder “He must get back soon maybe mother can help” You looked at your sister tears flowing out your eyes.

“A-And what if she can’t!, then what, what’ll happen then!” Neteyam reaches for your arm “Y/n i will-,” you watched as more tears filled your eyes as he was struggling to get his words out “i will be fine” You kept pressure pray to the all mother she would help him.

You sat there applying pressure to him side looking around frantically looking for either Jake or Neytiri your watch as Neteyam’s grip on your arm starts to loosen “Neteyam! Neteyam! Neteyam!” You start to scream his name as his grip loosened completely both Lo’ak and spider pulling you away from him.

No! No! No! please don’t leave me you can’t leave me please

Tears soaked you face as grief washed over your body you where pulling and kicking trying to get away from them to get back to Neteyam as you screamed and kicked and tried to rip out of their grip but they were much stronger.

Jake and Neytiri finally showed up Neytiri was crying over her son you fell to the ground crying and screaming you’ve never felt this kind of pain before it was as if someone ripped your heart out and ripped it in half.

Neytiri called her Ikran over and gave him to Lo’ak “Ride him back to the village and bring y/n and Neteyam back with you” He nodded

Neteyam was brought to a room you weren’t allowed inside Ronal asked what had happened and Lo’ak explained and she nodded she told him no one was allowed inside and said to take you back to your hut to rest he did as she said you followed him back to your hut where he left you to rest.

Everyone was back in the village everyone was at dinner but you. you sat there for two days you haven’t seen your mother, you didn’t smile, didnt eat, your brother Ao’nung made you get out much to your annoyance and when you did go with him you just looked at the ground.

You both walked passed the hut Neteyam and your mother were in you both looked over when you seen your mother exit the room you looked at her with hope in your eyes she closed her eyes and looked down and shake her head as he walked back into the hut.

Ao’nung wrapped his arms around you holding you close as you fell to the ground feeling your whole world crumble he felt his heart break as he held you, you’ve always been the strong one even during deaths but this was something different and he didn’t know what to do so he just sat there with you in his arms.

Tuk came and found you and tried to comfort you but nothing worked you just looked at her “I’m sorry Tuk” Your voice cracking at the end.

Tuk then walked over to you and hugged you to which you gladly accepted “Y’know Neteyam loved you, a lot he wouldn’t shut up and we’ve only been here for a few months” Her words made you smile and hug her tighter.

You then end the hug and stand up she followed and you held out your hand “Let’s go” She smiled and grabbed your hand excitedly you both walked back to the village and you took Tuk home upon walking up to their hut Tuk ran towards her parents.

“Tuk where have you been?” She then turned and pointed to you and you stood there smiling at them Neytiri walked up to you and hugged you and thanked you for bringing Tuk home you smiled and said it was no problem.

You started to walk back to your hut when you walked passed the hut Neteyam was in you decided to walk in not caring what your mother said you walked in and seen Neteyam laying there you walked over and sat down by him.

You grabbed his hand and sat there studying his face it was quiet for awhile you let reality set in as you realized he was gone but you had a feeling he was still there.

“NeNe,” (na-na) you hesitate for a moment thinking you’d be crazy for trying this “squeeze my hand if you can hear me” for awhile nothing happened and you lost hope coming to terms with the fact he was gone your eyes started to tear up until you felt a light squeeze.

You instantly let go and ran out the hut trying to find your mother you desperately ran around the village to find her you seen her from afar “Mother! Mother! it’s Neteyam, come quickly” She followed after you and found herself in the hut where his body lay.

“Y/n what is it?” She said slightly worried “Mother Neteyam he squeezed my hand” She looked at Neteyam then you “My beautiful daughter, you need to come to terms that he’s gon-“ you interrupted her “Im telling the truth see for yourself.”

She sat down and grabbed his hand “Neteyam if you can hear me squeeze my hand” After a few moments nothing happened and she closed her eyes sighing “Y/n he’s go-“ Her attention instantly went back onto him as she felt him squeeze her hand.

“Hurry get my things,” you only looked at her “now!” you hurried and grabbed her things and she started to work on him again this time you helping.

After what felt like hours she stopped working you looked at her confused “Now we wait,” she said as she stood up “you’ll stay here and watch over him throughout the night if anything happens come find me” You nodded at her words and she walked out the hut.

You stayed awake most of the night even though you were laying right next to Neteyam just watching him you realized you still needed to sleep “nga yawne lu oer Neteyam” (i love you).

“Y/n, wake up” You woke up slightly and ignored the person calling your name and turned the other way “Hey, are you ignoring me for sleep?” Still half asleep you replied turning around to face the person “Leave me alo-“ your words got caught in your throat “Neteyam!” you jumped up and hugged him tears of joy rolling down your face.

“Ewya has heard my prayers” You say as you continue to cry, Neteyam just holds you happy to see you again.

You let him go realizing Neteyam is alive “I’ll be back” You run outside and to the sully family they all look up confused because of how early it is “It’s Neteyam,” you say out of breath “hes alive.”

Neytiri jumps up and runs to the hut and is greeted by a sight she never thought she would see again her son sitting up looking at her “Neteyam…thank you all mother.”

The rest of the sullys pool into the room excited to see their brother and son, you turn to leave to find your mother and tell her the news.

That’s night at dinner everyone was happy and talking and laughing amongst themselves you found Neteyam.

“Neteyam,” you say as you look at him “i want to show you something” her gets up and follows you far away from the village.

You sat down and he does the same he then turns to look at you “What are we doing out here?” you didn’t say a word instead just looking out at the sea tears filled your eyes he moved closer and placed his hand on your thigh you cried at the thought that you almost lost him “You can tell me anything you know this Y/n” you turned to him.

“You don’t understand I almost lost you,” you say as you looked at him he held you face in one hand “i-i thought you went to be with ewya” You said looking away from him he turned you’re head gently to face him “I would never leave you.”

You smiled slightly “Maybe so but you don’t make the choice” He didn’t understand at first but then once he did he kissed your forehead “I may not have a choice but it’s up to Ewya,” he rested his forehead against yours “but Ewyas choice was to let me stay here.”

You looked down at his torso and noticed the blood still on the cloth wrapped around him “Here sit” You say as you pulled out a new cloth you keep on you at all time incase something happens he sat down and let you change the cloth.

“Just please don’t scare me like that again,” you sighed “and don’t do anything risky like again i do not know what i would do if i lost you Neteyam” He didn’t say a word and just let you continue in silence.

You both headed back to the village and your mother instructed that he was to stay inside the hut until he was able to move how he normally would just so the somewhat scar doesn’t rip open and so he’s closer to their hut so she could get to him faster incase anything was to happen.

The two of you sat there in the hut together just enjoying being in each others presence you kissed his face to which he smiled to then you kissed his lips Neteyam doing the same back to you you two then rest your foreheads on each other’s and close your eyes

I decided to try a new pov instead of first person idk which on i like better if i’m honest but we’ll see

Request from @darrarii: Could I request a Neteyam x reader where the reader's blunt and kind ofbitchy. The Sullys are arriving and meeting Aonung's best friend (the reader) and he hears her say some randomly blunt and out of pocket stuff under her breath. I live for kind and loving readers but imagine neteyam and reader just side eyeing people together.

Aonung nudges me, removing my focus from the task at hand, and I turn to admonish him. I have been working on this net all day, and I am nearly done. I have also asked him nearly ten times to quit bothering me while I work, but Aonung never listens to anyone who isn't Aonung.

"Look!" he says, and points. Above us fly five beasts, ikran, and it's a sight to behold. My anger melts away and I stand with Aonung and Roxto, who is never far off, our mouths agape. "Visitors."

Aonung charges forward, and Roxto scrambles to follow. I carefully set aside the net I've been working on, and have to jog to catch up.

The riders are dismounting as our clan gathers on the beach, gawking and whispering. They are strange people, a deeper blue than us, and I think they must be from the forest. Ikrans, dark blue, and as I get closer, I see their thin arms and tails.

What business do they have here, in the ocean?

They're a family, clearly. A mother, a father, and four children. The eldest look to be around our age, maybe 18 or 19, and the youngest cannot yet be ten. I must admit, she is very cute, but the features on the older boys make them look weak. They won't be able to swim, or hold their breath - but maybe they're just passing through.

Aonung and Roxto approach, and Aonung points out one of their tails.

"Is that supposed to be a tail?" Aonung asks, and Roxto laughs.

"It would be better to have no tail at all, than that useless little thing," I say to Aonung, who smiles at me. One of the boys turns his eyes to me, glaring, and I shrug.

I'm sure his tail is fine where he's from. Here, it will be little more than a nuisance to him.

Tsireya approaches, and slaps Roxto as he laughs, admonishing him and her brother, Aonung. She gives me a sideways glance, but again, I shrug.

"They do look strange, Tsireya," I say.

"As strange as we look to them," she replies. Where Aonung and I are harsh, Tsireya is soft and caring. I admire those characteristics about her, but don't see a use for them myself.

When I turn my attention back to the newcomers, the mother is telling our chief, Aonung's father, how her husband was Toruk Makto.

That grabs my attention - everyone knows the legend of Toruk Makto. I just imagined him to be... something different. I guess I pictured one of us, even though I knew he was a forest person.

"Toruk Makto is a Great War leader," Tonowari says, and I lean over to Aonung.

"I don't want a war here," I say to him, and he glances down at me, and nods once.

Again, one of the older boys looks to me, but he doesn't look annoyed this time - he looks sad.

"Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us," Tonowari says when I turn my attention back to him. Just a moment later, he's promising that Aonung and Tisreya will teach their children our ways.

I know what this means - I'll be roped into it too, as will Roxto. The three of us have always been somewhat of a package deal.

At least, I tell myself, this could be interesting.

I sigh and grab Neteyam's hands. "Bah, Neteyam!" I exclaim. "Are you watching me?"

He rolls hie eyes for the 100th time that day. "I am! You're going too fast. Slow down."

I have done the phrase what I think is slowly a dozen times, but he is still not picking it up. I am starting to think that these forest people are going to be hopelessly useless here, and I worry about them, just a little.

"Once more," I say, and move so slowly that it feels as if I am hardly moving at all. "Where... are... we.... going..."

Finally, when he repeats the gesture to me, it is correct.

"Yes!" I exclaim. "That's right, Neteyam!"

He smiles and laughs, and the sight of it... does something to me. I have seen Aonung smile a million times. He laughs with me every day. But never before has it made me feel this way.

There's a strange feeling, almost a fluttering in my stomach, and I snap my eyes away, trying to focus, but it isn't easy, not when he's still smiling.

Often, I find myself making excuses to be around Neteyam. I tell myself he must need help riding his ilu, learning how to slow his heart and hold his breath, or adding more finger speak to his lexicon.

Even as it becomes increasingly clear that he really doesn't need anyone's help anymore, I still find myself there, always there, offering a hand or a correction.

He never turns me away.

"Will the Sullys be stealing all of our women?" Aonung asks me as we ride our ilus together, the first time we have been alone since our arrival.

A pit settles in my stomach. I knew that Lo'ak and Tisreya had eyes on each other, but I hadn't known Neteyam had shown interested in anyone. I wonder who it could possibly be, and how have I not noticed?

Just the thought of him showing interest in another woman makes me sick, and I have to finally admit to myself that I care about the forest boy. Since the moment I saw him smile, he's nearly all that I think about. When we aren't together, I wonder what he's doing, wonder how he's adjusting to life here. I find excuses every day to talk to him, and I would even call us friends.

I'm hurt that he has found a woman, and I was unaware.

"What do you mean?" I ask, trying to keep the emotions off of my face and failing.

"First my sister, now my best friend," Aonung says, shaking his head.

"Me? And Neteyam? Bah, Aonung, no."

He rolls his eyes. "Don't treat me like I'm stupid. You like each other. I never thought you would stoop so low."

"Aonung!" I exclaim. "You are too harsh. They have been through a lot, and even you can't deny, they've adapted well here."

He rolls his eyes once more, and dives under and darts away from me. I want to be mad at him, but I'm too busy wondering if he's right - does Neteyam like me?

I have never been one to dance around what I want or how I'm feeling. Sometimes, I have been told, this comes off as being too harsh, a jerk, unfeeling and mean. I try to deliver the truth kindly, and only deliver it if it needs to be said, but I don't always know where the line is.

I don't worry about all of that now. When I return to shore, I head to where I know Neteyam and his family are staying, and hover in the doorway only a moment.

His mother and sisters are there, but not him.

"Do you know where Neteyam is?" I ask, and his mother's eyes snap up to mine.

"Fishing," the youngest replies. "Just left."

I nod and smile. "Thank you, Tuk."

It takes me a while to find Neteyam, who has swam far and found a little-used beach where the good fish rarely come. He couldn't have known that, so I hold my tongue on chiding him.

"Neteyam!" I yell as I step up onto the beach.

He turns, a spare in his hand, ready to launch, and smiles. "Y/N! How did you find me?"

"Well, I've been looking a long time. There aren't really good fish here, Neteyam. I can show you better spots."

He sighs and lowers his spear. "Damn. Okay."

"I want to ask you something," I say as I reach him, shaking the water from my hair. "Do you like me?"

He looks a little taken aback, with eyes wide, his tail swishing from side to side. "Like you? Yeah, I like you. You've been a good friend."

"No, no," I reply, stepping forward, shortening the gap between us. "Romantically, I mean. Aonung said he thought you did. And I like you. Romantically. So, I am asking."

When the confusion fades from his face, it is replaced with soft eyes and a wide, beautiful smile. "You are very straight-forward."

"I know. Most people don't like it, or like me. That's why I'm asking. I thought Aonung could be wrong."

"He's not," Neteyam replies. "I do like you. The first day on the beach, I did not," he tells me with a chuckle, "but I just thought you were... an asshole. I don't think so anymore. I think you just say what you are thinking, and it's kind of nice. I never have to wonder how you feel about something. And you've always been patient and kind to me, even when you didn't have to be."

Though Neteyam is right and I usually do speak my mind, my mind currently is a garbled up mess of joy and a little bit of fear. What will it mean, to fall in love with this forest boy? What will be permitted? Do we have a future together?

I'm not sure it makes sense to worry about that now. What I know is, nothing has ever made me as happy as Neteyam has. I wake up every morning, wondering what part of the day I will get to spend with him. To be assured that, going forward, I get to spend every single day with him... it is the greatest happiness I have ever known.

I am speechless. I wrap my arms around his waist and place my head on his chest, listening to his strong, loud heartbeat as he wraps his arms around my shoulders. I feel his chin resting on my head, and I take deep, slow breaths, enjoying this moment.

"I'm sorry I didn't make a good first impression. I'm glad you were able to look past it."

He reaches under my chin, tilting my head up to him, and places a soft, quick kiss on my lips.

Too soft. Too quick.

"You are lucky you are so beautiful, or I may not have given you another chance," he says with a wink and a teasing smile.

I want to shove him away for the comment, but I can't bear to tear myself away from him. Plus, he certainly owes me one.

I'll get him back tomorrow.

First Kiss with ATWOW Characters (Jake, Neytiri, Neteyam, Lo’ak, Tisreya, Spider, and Trudy)

Jake Sully:

You never planned sneaking away in the moonlight with your sister's little Na'vi in training, but here you were, hopping from branch to branch in the forests of Pandora. Jake was close of your tail, a wide grin on his face as he tried to keep up.

"Won't your, uh, parents get mad at you for doing this?" he questioned, finally catching up as you stopped at a nearby river.

"Not if I claim you dragged me out here," you teased, turning to the taller Na'vi. "They'd believe me."

"I don't doubt it," Jake agreed, laughing dryly.

You smiled, your face flushing as Jake stared at you with a smile of his own. "Sit down." He broke eye contact as he sat at the edge of the river. You obliged, placing yourself next to Jake. He looked up and around at the scenery. "Pandora is really beautiful."

"Eywa has made it such," you agreed, looking at the fish swimming through the water. "Tell me more about your planet, Jake."

"Oh, it's nothing like it is here," Jake started. "It's not beautiful anymore, it's-" He hesitated. "It was green. Beautiful. But the skypeople- my people killed it." His fingers flexed against the grass beneath your hands. "We killed our mother."

"They are no longer your people Jake," you stated. "At least they do not have to be." You propped yourself on your knees, facing Jake. "You are becoming one of us. You are one of us." You placed your hand on his cheek, allowing yourself to bask in the warmth radiating from it.

Jake's eyes scanned your face. He placed his own hand over yours, pressing his lips against your palm. "Y/n, I-" His words halted as he drew closer to your face.

"Yes?" you whispered.

"I see you," he mumbled before pressing his lips against yours. You immediately reacted, moving your lips against his. Jake's free hand moved to grip the back of your neck.

You pulled away first, cheeks flushed. "Jake, I see you."

Jake grinned, quick to pull you back into the heated kiss by your waist, causing you to let out a giggle.

Neytiri:

Being the foreseen mate of the cheiftain's daughter had it's ups and downs. And riding through the Hallelujah Mountains was an up.

"Neytiri!" you called, riding after the beautiful Na'vi on your ikran.

"What are you doing here?" Neytiri asked as you flew just above her.

"I came to find you!" you said simply, smiling at her. "Jake said you'd be here."

"Ack!" Neytiri hissed, exasperated even at the mere idea of the avatar newcomer.

You bit your cheek. "Neytiri, let's race!" you suggested. "To the far west mountain. Whoever loses has to teach Jake his next lesson."

Neytiri smiled at your suggestion before flying off.

You smiled back widely, dashing after the na'vi. You were close on her tail. You could easily have caught up to her but you found yourself distracted by the way the wind blew through her hair. It gave you a clear view of her dazzling eyes.

You felt your eyes lower to her muscular legs, bent perfectly against her ikran. She had been riding for years and it showed. Your cheeks flushed at her beauty.

"You lose!" The na'vi in question that filled your fantasy's broke you from your thoughts. You quickly stopped your ikran, allowing Neytiri to fly circles around you.

You let out a frustrated sigh, knowing that even if you weren't distracted, she would have won. "Yes, you won, Neytiri," you admitted. "Jake Sully is mine to teach."

Neytiri grinned widely at you. She flew close to you, flipping upside down just above you and your ikran. "Thank you for the fun," she said, giving you a small peck on the lips.

You froze, only for a second, purely in shock at the action. "You-"

"Speak nothing of it," Neytiri stated, her face turning a slight purple.

"Race again? I win I get another?" you suggested.

"Deal."

Neteyam:

You weren't intending to spend your evening with the eldest son of the small family of visitors in your tribe, but here you were. You sat inches away from the darker na'vi boy. Both of you were placed silently on a smooth, dark, rock, just above the dazzling ocean that reflected the night sky beautiful.

"Why are we here, Neteyam?" you questioned, turning to face the boy.

"Is there something wrong with me wanting to spend the evening with my favorite teacher?" Neteyam teased, smiling at you.

"There's nothing else I need to teach you," you scoffed, shaking your head.

"You could help me with my breathing," he argued. "Like your sister helped Lo'ak." He grabbed your hands gently, looking to you for consent. You rolled your eyes but didn't protest. "I breathe from here- and here?" He placed one of your hands on his stomach and the other on his chest, just above his heart. "Like this, right?" He kept his hands over yours to keep them placed on his body. You giggled at his antics, looking down to hide your flushed face. "Like this, right?" He persisted, a teasing smile on his face as he tilted his head down to yours.

"If you wanted an excuse for me to touch you, you could have just said so," you said, blushing as Neteyam nudged your face with his nose.

"No, I really do want a lesson," Neteyam insisted, kissing your cheek. His heart warmed at how you looked under the starlight. He treasured these times with you, happy to have time for him to be himself. He was so often expected to the adult of his siblings, responsible, mature, etc. But he's learned that with you, none of that matters. He could indulge in immaturity for a little while and one of those indulges was teasing you.

"What lesson is that?" you asked, removing your hands from the boy's chest.

"How to..." You could practically see the gears turning in the boys head as he searched for an excuse.

You smirked cockily. "Well if that is all-" You made a move to stand up but Neteyam grabbed your wrist.

"Okay, maybe I just wanted some time with you," he said, kissing your palm gently. You blushed slightly at the affection as you sat yourself down, closer to the young Na'vi this time. He placed his four-fingered hand on your knee. "You know, you could teach me something."

You looked up at Neteyam, surprised by his closeness. "What's that?" you questioned.

Neteyam stayed silent, gently placing his other hand on your cheek. He started by kissing the corner of your mouth. You smiled gently before taking matter into your own hands. You pulled Neteyam into a kiss, feeling him stiffen before relaxing. The kiss was awkward but sweet, more of a mushing of lips.

"I don't think I'm the right teacher for this," you giggled, pulling away from the awkward kiss.

"We'll learn together," Neteyam stated before pulling you in again.

Lo'ak:

You were sensitive. That's one of the reasons Lo'ak enjoyed being around you. It took him a while to understand that you took his jokes more seriously than others and the outcome effected you fairly strongly.

But he got there. As he watched the way you reacted to different things, he became protective over you, which led to your current situation.

"You should have left it alone, Lo'ak," you gently scolded. You wiped away the blood that dripped from the boy's nose.

"Those dumbasses had it coming," he argued, sniffing slightly at the feeling of the rag under his nose.

"What could they possibly have done for you to risk getting in trouble with the chief, again?" you mumbled.

"They were making fun of you!" Lo'ak said, grabbing your hand that was tending to his wounds.

You sighed, feeling your cheeks flush. "You shouldn't give them the time of day," you stated, giving Lo'ak's hand a squeeze. "Now give me my hand back so I can help you." You cracked a small smile.

Lo'ak did as he was told, sitting quietly as you bandaged his wounds.

"Did you get in trouble with your dad?" you asked softly.

"Doesn't matter," he mumbled, avoiding eye contact.

You frowned, cupping the boy's face. You pressed your lips against him in a chaste kiss. "Thank you, Lo'ak."

Lo'ak blushed but smiled. "Anything for you," he stated quickly.

"Don't get ahead of yourself," you chuckled, swiping a thumb over his cheek.

(A/n Lo'ak would be a golden retriever boyfriend)

Tsireya:

"So it's like an irkan?" you asked. You sat on an ilu with Tsireya swimming gracefully next to you.

"Something like that," she giggled, adjusting the way you sat on the ilu. Your face flushed each time her soft hands brushed against your legs or tightened the way your hands gripped the reigns. "Now you make the bond." She gently guided your braid to the ilu's. "Feel the way she breathes, how she moves through the water, and how you move through the water together."

"Mhm," you hummed, fighting down the redness that appeared on the ends of your ears. "Right, right, right. Got it."

"Now, go." Tsireya removed her hands. You willed for your ilu to dive. You inhaled deeply before the ilu dove under the clear water, gripping the reigns tightly. The water pressure pressed against your body, pushing you away from the ilu. Then the enviable happened. You lost your grip and went flying off the creature. You spun through the water.

Shit, shit, shit, you thought as you swam to the surface. As your head burst from the water, you saw Tsireya giggling at you.

"Damn it," you mumbled, hitting the surface of the water with your hand.

"Not bad for your first time," she stated, swimming closer to you.

"Smooth thing to say after laughing at me," you joked.

"I wasn't laughing at you," Tsireya defended, hiding her smile behind her hand.

"Oh yeah uh-huh," you scoffed, fighting off a smile of your own. Tsireya stared at you, as you smiled. You stared right back at her, steadily swimming closer. As soon as you were close enough you gently pecked her lips.

Tsireya smiled gently, making you blush once more.

"Ahem- we should- I should try again," you coughed out.

"If you stay on, I'll give you another kiss," Tsireya bargained.

You went silent for a second. "Get me that ilu back.

Spider:

"Okay, so the loving father approach hasn't worked too well so far," General Ardmore stated. You were a young prodigy na'vi biology prodigy and translator that had joined in the travel to Pandora, thinking it was for the best of the Earth.

You now stood next to the General and Colonel, watching as the young human known as Spider, sat in his cell, glaring at the camera you watched him from.

"How's the kid his age approach?" The general turned her attention to you, making you frown.

"Um, it's hard to tell-"

"Speak up kid."

"I'm sorry, not that I can tell, General," you stated clearly.

"Well, how about you go in there, and we'll see if we can tell," the General said, giving you a hard stare. You directed your eyes downward, sucking the inside of your cheek.

"Yes, ma'am," you mumbled.

"Now, soldier!"

You jumped a bit at the demand but did as you were told.

"Hello Spider," you said as you entered the boy's cell. As soon as you entered, you noticed Spider's demeanor change. He relaxed a bit as you approached him with a small smile. "Is okay if we talk for a bit?"

Spider's eyes scanned you before he nodded hesitantly.

"Would you like to speak in Na'vi or English?" you asked, slowly approaching the skittish boy.

"You know Na'vi?" he asked, allowing you to draw closer.

"Yes, I've studied it for a while," you answered in Na'vi. "I think it's a beautiful language."

Spider smiled slightly. "You speak it a lot better that the rest of the Sky people around here," he complemented.

"Oh they don't speak it well at all," you laughed lightly, making Spider grin.

"They sound like children!" Spider laughed. You smiled at the sound of his laugh. "What else do you know about Pandora?"

"I know it's biology and the legends," you explained, sitting on the metal table that was placed in the middle of the room. "Eywa and the People and their connection to the wildlife."

"You know a lot in theory." Spider placed himself next to you on the table. "But it's more than legends. It's like our way of life." You looked at Spider carefully before looking at the camera. He followed your gaze before looking back at you. "Can I see your shoe?" he asked.

"Oh, um, sure." You removed your shoe and handed it to Spider. He smiled slightly before throwing the shoe at the camera with a grunt.

"Spider, you can't just do that," you scolded gently, although you didn't move from your spot.

"Can we talk privately now?" Spider asked seriously. You nodded. "I know they sent you in here to try and get me to tell you where Jake is. But I like you. You're not like them. You care about Pandora and you're... nice to me."

You blinked in surprise as Spider sat a bit closer to you. "Listen, Spider, we have almost five minutes until the General comes storming in here." You grabbed the boy's bicep. "Tell me, something, anything. It doesn't have to be the truth. Just some random place in Pandora."

Spider frowned. "If I lie will they put me back in that- thing?"

"I won't let them," you reassured him. "I'll make sure you never have to go in that torture machine ever again."

Spider stared at you before quickly pecking your lips. You let out a surprised gasp as you leaned back slightly. "Thank you," he stated before a hoard of solders came running into the room.

(I KNOW- wow how quick! No actually, this is months after Spider was kidnapped and you guys became close)

Trudy:

"L/n, hey, get up," you grumbled and pulled your blanket as high as you could over your head. "Come on, babe, get up."

"No, go away Trudy," you whined, rolling away from Trudy's hand that very desperately tried to pull you from your covers.

"Wake up, I got a surprise for you," she teased. You grumbled as you felt her cold fingers brush some hair from your face. "You're gonna like it."

"I'll like it later," you countered.

"You gotta see it now," she chuckled.

"No," you drawled. You heard Trudy chuckle again before she kissed your cheek. "Trudy, let me sleep." Trudy pulled your blanket down letting your squinting eyes glare at her. "Better be a nice surprise."

Trudy grinned before placing her lips on yours. You hummed gently at the feeling. You placed your hand on the back of Trudy's neck.

"That was it," she whispered as soon as you pulled apart.

"You bitch," you grumbled, collapsing back in the bed.

Tonowari: "This is the Tulkun way. Payakan is a killer so, he is outcast.

Lo'ak: "I'm sorry sir, but you're wrong."

Neytiri: "Lo'ak! You speak to Olo'eyktan"

Lo'ak: "I know what I-"

What could have been

Description- When reader discovers Lo’ak kissing Tisreya, she is left heartbroken and a shell of her former self. With some help from Neteyam, she slowly picks up the pieces of her broken heart. As time goes on Neteyam considers her more than just a friend but is unable to tell her before tragedy strikes, leaving him heartbroken and devastated. Strangely, he finds that his brother is going through the same ordeal and they both find solace in wondering what could've been.

“...I see you.” When those words left her mouth, you felt your heart shatter. However, the next thing that happened ground those pieces into dust. Lo’ak leaned down and pressed his lips against Tsireya’s. The lips you had fantasized about pressing against yours were currently pressed against another girl.

Slowly, you back out of your hiding spot and hurriedly leave the area, hand covering your mouth so that a sob doesn't slip out. That night you don’t return to the Sully mauri until late. You spent most of the night on a secluded part of the beach crying out your broken heart.

It truly was broken, wasn’t it? Thoughts swirled around in your brain making your heart hurt worse than it already was. It was your fault. You should’ve confessed to him sooner, maybe if you had only confessed to him back in the forest, your heart wouldn't be laying shattered in your chest.

It felt silly in a way, pining for a boy that you never thought you’d have a chance with. You loved him when you were still human and your love never changed when you became a Na’vi. You thought that your new boy would have him see you as more than his sister's best friend or as his best friend's sister. But it seemed he only saw you for what you were…..his friend. And despite your yearning to be more, the realization that he never saw you as anything more than that broke you.

You cry for what feels like hours, exhausting your tears until you can’t anymore. Looking up from where you were crying into your legs, you see the sun has long since set. Wiping your face, you stand and make your way back to the mauri, silently hoping that nobody looked too hard at your face when you arrived.

Making your way onto the woven pathway, your body robotically carries you toward the Sully mauri. Your hopes of going unnoticed were smashed into pieces when you see Jake, waiting at the entrance for you. A small sigh passes your lips as you near, ready to hear the lecture he was bound to give you.

“(y/n) Where have you been? We’ve been looking for you since dinner.” His tone is harsh but you can hear the undercurrent of worry in his words. Judging by how he sounded you knew you’d been out longer than you thought and had missed dinner.

Gripping the strap of your bag anxiously, you only mumble out an apology while not looking at him. Unfortunately, Jake is too observant and notices your tear-streaked face and slightly red eyes. He sighs and pulls you into a hug.

“Listen, I know it's hard having to leave behind everything especially when you’re doing it in a new body. But I swear it gets easier and in time you’ll adjust and then you’ll wonder how you ever lived differently.”

Right, he assumed you were crying because of your not being able to adjust to your new body which while true to an extent, wasn't the cause of your tears. Not wanting to admit what happened, you half-heartedly return the hug that Jake gives in earnest. He pulls away and gives you a small smile while rubbing your arms before releasing you to go inside.

As you walk in you notice that everyone aside from Tuk is still awake. It made you feel worse honestly. Knowing that you caused everyone to worry about you so much that they stayed up to look for you. Kiri is the first to greet you at the door and presents you with food she saved for you.

“Saved you some food, I figured you’d be hungry,” Kiri says. The sympathetic and concerned look she's giving you lets you know that she knows something is wrong but isn't willing to press it. Thankful and aware of the eyes on you, you take the food and make your way over to your little corner of the pod. If anybody wants to say something to you they don't, instead opting to get themselves ready for bed. You pick at the food, only taking small bites before setting it aside and getting ready for bed yourself.

Kiri watched as you laid your mat closer to hers instead of being near her brother like usual. Though she didn’t say anything, the cogs in her brain were slowly turning and as she watched you lay down, she couldn’t help but notice your body shaking slightly.

~ Some time later~

The days blurred together as you went about your life on the island. You spent as little time as possible around Lo’ak and Tisreya. Despite your best efforts, every interaction you saw of the two drove the knife deeper, and not wanting to let your heartbreak known you decide the best way is to avoid them.

Being around them when you had to was torture. Every interaction they had you noticed the subtle ways he showed his affection for her. You saw how much more touchy he was with her. He was always physically affectionate, always standing close or having his arm wrapped around your shoulders but with her it was different.

With her, his touch was gentler, more affectionate. Whenever he hugged her he would linger as though he was basking in the warmth of her hug and it stung. You tear your eyes away from the scene in front of you and stand suddenly, causing everyone to look at you.

“You good bro?” Lo’ak asks as he and everyone else watches you grab your bag and pull it over your head.

“M’fine. I have to go.” You mumble before quickly making your exit from where the group was sitting, tears forming in your eyes. You quickly make your way towards your secluded spot on the beach and immediately plop behind the first rock you see.

The tears now flow freely as sobs begin to rack your body. You wanted to scream, but nothing would come out but the strangled sounds of your despair. You were crying so hard and so loudly that you barely heard the footsteps approaching and it wasn’t until you felt a hand on your shoulder that you realized someone else was there.

You nearly jumped out of your skin once the hand made contact with you. Jumping away, you furiously wipe at your eyes until you realize that you know who touched you.

“N-Neteyam…what are you doing here?” Your voice was very obviously hoarse and it cracked as you spoke, causing you to wince.

Neteyam, hands held up in surrender and brow furrowed began to speak. “When you took off I followed you to make sure you were okay. When I heard you crying I knew you weren’t okay. What’s going on? What happened back there?”

You swallow thickly. Somebody had finally caught you crying and it was Neteyam of all people. He wouldn’t leave you alone until he was sure you were alright which is the last thing you wanted right now.

“I-I….” What were you supposed to say? ‘Hey, you caught me crying over your brother. He didn’t reject me, I was just too chickenshit to actually confess and now the sight of him and Tisreya makes me want to peel my own skin off and scream until I’m hoarse. Don’t worry tho I’m fine.’

Wiping your eyes again you swallow once more and begin to talk. “I’m sorry I just…I really miss Spider and Home. It’s been hard adjusting to Spider going missing, getting a new body, and moving in such a short time span.” Okay, you just lied to him. Not everything you said was a lie but you weren’t going to tell Neteyam you were crying over his brother.

“Do you…would you like to talk about it?” He asks hesitantly. He’s trying his best to comfort you and despite lying to him just now, you feel the need to convince him you’re alright.

“Thanks but no thanks. I really don’t wanna talk about it. The crying was my way of getting it all out you know?” Neteyam nodded as you spoke, seemingly understanding your desire to cry it out instead of talking about it.

He outstretches his hand and gently places it on your shoulder. “If you want, you could cry if you need to now.” He seems to have a sudden realization and quickly removes his hand before adding, “I-if you want to that is”

Your hand flies to your mouth and you turn from him. He sees your shoulders shaking and begins to panic. He begins to rapidly throw out apologies and words of affirmation until he hears your stifled laughter and calms.

It takes a moment for you to fully calm down but when you do, you turn to him, hand still covering your mouth.

“I’m sorry, I swear I’m not laughing at what you said…” A giggle slips out. “...just how you said it. Who knew the great Neteyam Sully was so awkward?” You say with a smile.

Neteyam cracks a smile and shakes his head. “You caught me. I’m not great at everything, just at most things.”

You let out a faux scandalized gasp and Neteyam laughs in response. “I know right? Kinda shocking that I’m not the best at comforting people who aren't eight.”

With a laugh, you shove him playfully. “I don’t know, I think you’re doing a decent enough job.”

“Only okay? My pride is hurt” He says placing a hand over his heart as he attempts to sound hurt.

“You’re doing a decent job. I don’t wanna give you an ego” You say as you turn to look at the ocean. If Neteyam wants to say something he doesn’t, instead option to let the conversation lull into a comfortable silence. After a few moments you reach over to your bag and pull out your well-worn journal, you flip until you find a blank page and begin to sketch.

Neteyam, curious leans over but you lean away from him as he tries to peek. “Uh uh. No peeking, don’t you know it's bad luck to watch an artist draw?’ You say with a smile. He gives you a look but does as you ask, instead looking out at the vast expanse of the ocean in the light of the evening sun.

After what feels like forever, you nudge him gently, journal turned towards him. “I’m not the best but I think I captured it well no?” Neteyam takes the journal from your hands and looks at the drawing in awe. In front of his eyes laid a perfect sketch of…him. You had gotten everything correct. His nose, his eyes, everything right down to how his braids sat over his shoulder. As he sat in awe of your drawing, you shifted a bit from your spot in the sand.

“I know it isn't the best bu..” As you were speaking you were cut off by Neteyam

“Sorry, this is just amazing. I can’t believe you drew this of me” The amazement and wonder in his voice caused a smile to spread across your face. You turn your journal back around and begin to tear the page out and once you're done you hold it out for him to take.

He stares at your hand holding the drawing before shaking his head. “No. No, I can’t take this.” He says pushing your hand back. “Dude c’mon you have to take it, I’ve already ripped the page out so I can’t put it back.” You shake the page in his direction. “Take it” He wordlessly takes the page from you, admiring it one last time before folding it neatly and tucking it away into the waterproof pouch on his tweng.

He gives you a small smile before looking out into the direction of the sea. “We should probably get going, dinner is starting soon and we don’t want to be late.” He stands and dusts himself off before offering you a hand.”

“Actually I think I’ll stay here for a little while longer, but I’ll be there soon.” You give him a smile that doesn’t quite reach your eyes. If he notices he doesn't say anything and gives you a smile and a nod before walking back towards the village.

As soon as he’s out of earshot, you heave a heavy sigh and put away your sketchbook. You pull your knees up to your chest and rest your chin atop your knees. Looking out onto the open ocean, you can’t help but wonder what your life could've been if you had confessed earlier……..

Spider brainrot

I've seen this before but he did his hair in the dreads to try and mimic Jake; no one ever really taught him how to maintain or care for his hair. After getting taken, his hair is in such bad condition they shave it to his scalp.

It grows back curly and darker than he expected. It takes a while to thicken but Kiri rubs salves and oils into his hair to help. When its finally back in decent shape she and Tsireya go to town braiding an styling it.

He ends up with longer hair eventually that is in Viking braids to the back of his head, then it's a messy bunch of curls down to his shoulders.

Once he is accepted into the family, Neytiri helps him braid in family beads to remind him that he's theirs now. It's small but she needs him to know she's there.

Tuk likes to collect shells and pretty stones to make jewelry and she ends up using some to braid into his hair - her other siblings don't let her but Spider can seriously not say no to her

He and Tsireya get along a lot better than anyone expected

After getting tortured and having to deal with so much so fast, her calming presence does really well for him. Plus, he has all the blackmail she could want on Lo'ak

They also are both secret gossips and will sneak away for "lessons" where they ride her ilu and talk shit

Rotxo takes a special liking to Spider and it freaks Ao'nung and Lo'ak the fuck out

Netyam (cause he's alive here bitch) is hovering constantly trying to make sure he's not getting bullied but they just genuinely vibe together

Rotxo has a crush on Spider and Kiri. They both know about him liking the other but not themselves.

Spider is demi/bi, Kiri is demi/ace, Lo'ak is bi, Neteyam is gay, Tisreya has no damn clue, Ao'nung is bi but closeted, and Rotxo is pan.

About half the younger na'vi love Spider cause funny little monkey boy and y'know, life is already weird and the other half woul lowkey drown him if left alone

That goes for Lo'ak too but that's just cause he's a little shit

The note (Neteyam x reader)

You woke with a jolt as you heard the yelling of your siblings from a distance. Leaning up and realising you had dozed off on your ilu and we’re floating out of the reef you rubbed your eyes feeling the cold water running over your body and the harsh evening sun hitting your soft skin.

As you watch your siblings calling out your name you remember you were meant to help teach the Sully children how to breathe. So you woke your ilu and made your way over to them. “Where in the world have you been!” Ao’nung complained “you lucky fathers to busy to worry about us right now” he added swimming off to the others.

You followed behind him noticing the others had not arrived yet. “Where are they?” “Tsireya has gone to get them” Ao’nung replied seating himself on a small rock away from the shore “aren’t you supposed to help” “I’m not gonna waste my time on them” Ao’nung replies turning away from you

Once Tsireya had arrived with everyone you all took your places on a larger rock in the water. Tsireya had sat next to Lo’ak and you next to Neteyam.

Tsireya was obviously a better mentor she knew exactly how to help people in every way but you on the other side not so much. You were more of a free spirit, an explorer you were better at learning then teaching. Watching how Tisreya explained everything and helped everyone you felt useless and very out of place.

“y/n,y/n are you alright?” you were snapped out of thought as you heard Neteyam calling your name looking over at him “yeah I’m fine just a little tired” you lied trying to fake a smile but somehow he saw right through your lie looking a little worried but only giving a simple nod in response.

After the sun had set and you had eaten with your family you made your way back to your room. Once inside and you started taking out your hair to comb it when you noticed a little piece of paper with multiple tiny rocks holding it in place. Placing your comb down and picking up the note it read ‘meet me at the cove at midnight’ curiosity took over and you pinned your hair back up made sure the paths were empty then snuck out to the cove.

Entering the dark and empty cove you sat yourself up on a flat rock looking around then you saw a tall figure in the water ahead as your eyes adjusted to the darkness around you, you realised it was Neteyam and he had seen you. You got up and walked over to him “I’m glad you came” he smiled as you stood in front of him,

The water was freezing and the cold breeze didn’t help “I’d never say no to a late night adventure” you smirk trying to ignore the freezing cold water rising as you walked in deeper.

Noticing you’re reaction Neteyam held out his hand watching your bright eyes shining under the moon light taking his hand and letting him pull you closer to him as his warmth radiates onto you “why did you call me out here?” You ask him “I thought it would help you cool off after the lessons earlier” he looks down at you “oh that yeah” you mumbled “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to upset you” “no don’t apologise I’m sorry I was so useless I should of known how to help” you pull away into the water as he joins you.

Lifting up your chin to look you in the eye “you are to hard on yourself” he says “you are not Tsireya you are y/n you don’t have to be like her” you feel tears well in your eyes. A strange feeling in your gut as you look at his big yellow eyes pulling him into a long,tight hug “thank you” you whisper and for a split second you feel like your the only two people in the world but everything comes to an end and you pull away leaving a small peek on his cheek. Before wishing him a good night and walking away.

“y/n wait” Neteyam calls out after you “stay with me tonight” he requests “I don’t know. What if someone one sees us out here together” you say “who cares about others seeing us please just for tonight” he says coming up to you and holding your hands you hold onto his hands and nod as a wide smile escapes and you two spend the night together swimming in the cove.

hello sweetie! Okie, so its been so loooooooooooooooong since I watched the movies, so I took my sweet ass time to re-watch the first movie [idk if ya wanna ask for more in the future]. So I only placed the important events. So sit back, relax and enjoy~!!

Myth or Ancient?

“Here, and be careful not to touch the shiny part with your fingers, it can ruin the colors. So it's super delicate” Norm carefully instructs tsireya and rotxo who nod enthusiastically. “You can trust us Norman sir” rotxo promises with a wide happy grin. Saying their bye’s, tisreya and rotxo run to the village as they start to talk about what sort of ‘snacks’ to eat for when they watch the disk called ‘movie’.

“Demon technology is very interesting when it is not scary. How can this round thing show colors or people?” tsireya wonders as she stares down at the flat box that is protecting the disk. Rotxo shrugs, “even if lo’ak or kiri explains to us, I get the feeling we will still be confused” he says. They make their way slowly as they look at the cover of the thin box.

Tsireya squints her eyes and reads the letters but if anything, the bold red kinda annoys her eye site. “That is a lot of red…” she muttered. She usually sees human language in green or white. Rotxo leans in, “do you think the colors have different meanings?” he wonders. This time tsireya shrugged.

Lo’ak and neteyam were showing ao’nung how a camera works while their parents chat in a not so far distance. Everyone had their noon meal, stomachs full and in a mood for tea as the other villagers enjoy their relaxing day.

“Wait so I just stare at this circle thing and-”

*SNAP!*

“Ow! My eyes! Did it just blind me!?” Ao'nung screeches dramatically as he rubs his eyes, adjusting from the sudden flash of light. Lo’ak was cackling like a madman as neteyam chuckles at the reef prince’s antics. “Oh I have to see the result!” lo’ak says as he snatches the camera from ao’nung.

As the boys looked at the result, mo’at, jake and neytiri were talking with tonowari and ronal. “There are many ways the people have enjoyed themselves, even with demon technology that causes no harm. We do keep it very limited to usage and the purpose of it” neytiri explains to tonowari and ronal. And as if on que, running towards them was tsireya and rotxo.

“Mother, father, look what sir Norman granted us to see” tsireya says happily as she shows the thin box to the adults. Tonowari leaned in to see. “There are tiny letters that I cannot read so well,” he says. Tsireya hands it over to Jake to see if he can read which, Jake grins happily. “Babe, it's your favorite movie,” he grins. Neytiri's ears perk up and tail swaying happily, “how to train your dragon?”. Jake nods in confirmation.

“What is it?” Tonowari asks, “something I believe you might all like. Come, let's prepare for what we call a movie night” Neytiri smiles wide as she answers his question.

Food was cooked and shared, many mats, cushions, and other forms of sitting was set as Jake and norm prepared the projector. Tonowari and his family got the best seats, right at the center where they can see the view perfectly.

“How will we see this…movie?” Ronal asks as she cradles her young baby. Spider brought little treats for her baby kindly answers. “In simple terms, the movie will be seen like physical people telling their story, like 3D”. Ronal just stared at him, lost at the explanation. He chuckles nervously, “you know what? Best to see the magic yourself”.

After 30 minutes of everyone huddling together, sharing their portions and for the Eclipse to take full effect of the night, norm began to press play.

And for the metkayina family, they gasped in awe. Massive colors of mountains, the sea, the clouds! They looked so solid and floating in mid air!

“Majic of holograms-”

“Ok shut up lo’ak”

“This is Berk…”

The main character began to speak, narrating about his home and life. Show how it is at night, from the animals to the form of the berk village. The whole style captured the reef na’vi attention very well.

“Incredible….” Tisreya mutters as she leans against lo’aks shoulder.

“The only problems are the pest”

The scene zooms in on the poker face sheeps, enjoying their nightly dinner with all of a sudden claws grabbing it. Ao’nung and rotxo gasped, just what was it?

“Most people have mice, or mosquitos, but we have….”

A door opens to see the sheep running away, and a monster flying dangerously close looked at the open door and breathed out fire.

“Dragons!”

“Dragons? What are those?” Tonowari asks, neytiri not far from his family simply smiles, “proud and fearless creatures, like the ikrans' '. Neytiri pops a popcorn in her mouth as she snuggles with Jake, enjoying her all time favorite movie.

“Dragons…” Ronal repeats but with wonder. Oh they definitely have the family’s attention now.

“What is he doing out here ag-what are you doing out here?! Get inside!”

“That is stoick the Vast, chief of the tribe. They say when he was a baby, he popped a dragon's head clean off from its shoulders. Do I believe it? Yes I do”

Hiccup narrates of the large man who was able to easily pick him like nothing.

Tonowari looks at the leader being show, “why is his face mostly hair?” he asks. “Thats how the vikings were back then. Said to attract and scare off anything” Jake replies easily. Tonowari hums at that, slowly liking this stoick guy.

The movie continues to show the insanity of the dragons attacks. Their fiery breaths destroy so many homes, taking animals left and right. And the people fend them off in many ways. Utter chaos all around, but shows how it is their normal everyday life.

For lo’ak and spider, hiccup has become their favorite character. Despite the awkwardness and having to be kept inside from dangers, they can understand him on a deep level. Which is why they understand hiccup’s need to kill a dragon, his way of “making his mark”.

“One day bro…one day” lo’ak whispers to spider. But the human boy nudges him away, “dude you became brothers with a tulkun. I think you already made your mark on that” spider says in a deadpan way.

Spider can understand hiccup from how their own bodies are. Yes spider isn't shaped to stand the planet's environments but he makes it through. Just like how hiccups is small and lanky, he makes his way through his crazy viking life.

“So many different types of dragons….and many are so ugly” Ronal says as hiccup lists different dragon species. Tonowari can't help but chuckle, his guess, dragons are not meant to be a pretty sight if they are considered dangerous creatures of the skies.

“There are prettier dragons you know” Neytiri comments.

Ronal turns to her, “how so?”

“Later you shall see. I rather not spoil the fun”

As the scene goes on, the one, the only, night fury dragon has entered the battlefield. Everyone cheers for that dragon, a common favorite in the clan. “Amazing! I want to see the full view of the nightly beast-what is hiccup doing?” it was rotxo who said that. He enjoyed the building hype until the next part focuses on hiccup setting up what looks like a trapping weapon.

“He is going to get himself killed!” ao’nung whispers/shouts.

“Yeah, that is going to happen a lot in this” neteyam calmly answers as he offers popcorn to ao’nung to whom happily accepts.

“Yes! Did anybody see that?!” hiccup shouts excitedly.

“He did” tsireya points happily as the monstrous nightmare dragons crawls up from the cliff.

“Well he is toast”

Neytiri cringed a bit at Jake's joke, but held in her laugh.

But as the next scenes go, things didn't go as smooth as stoick would have liked. Having more things being burned at the dragon chases hiccup, only for later to be given a lecture in front of the massive crowd.

“I feel you hiccup” lo’aks voice cracks as a single tea falls from his face.

“The forest looks so pretty” tsireya comments as she admires the pretty view of the berk forest. Similar to the omatikaya forest, yet it is still different. Human environment truly never bores her. But as she admires the scenery, they reach the part as hiccup searches high and low for the night fury dragon he has shot down while ranting and venting his anger.

“He found it!” rotxo points out the obvious thing but doesn't care. The suspense grows, hiccup takes out his blade which makes the sully’s give out a chuckle. “Tuk’s blade is bigger and sharper than that” neteyam says as he calms himself. Tisreya looks over at him. “Now that you mentioned is, where are your sisters? I figured they would enjoy this too” she wonders. Neteyam shakes his head, “no, they have something better”.

Not sure what he meant by that, but tsireya accepts his answer.

“Oh he is a beauty…” ronal admires the slow scene of the night fury. Capturing every detail and its mesmerizing green eyes. The look of a dangerous, unpredictable hunter. Something about it gives chills down her spine.

“Indeed, he is my second favorite dragon,” Neytiri adds. Ronal wonders if another like the night fury will appear later on in the movie.

Hiccup takes deep breaths, hesitating, heart racing.

“He isn't….he isnt going to kill the dragon is he???” ao’nung asks, already feeling sad for the poor beast. Nobody answers. The tension is rising. The music is rising to its peak. Will he do it? Will he cut out the heart?

Will the night devil accept his fate?

No because hiccup decided to cut the ropes and only faint a minute later after releasing the dragon.

“That was crazy of him, but also with the night fury” tsireya looks at the scene. Feeling worried about hiccup. There was a lot of stress happening in those few short minutes. “Makes you think if he still wants to follow the ‘viking’ style like his people” ao’nung comments, making air quotes like how the sully kids do.

“Can you stop that?!” gobber shouts at fishlegs who for some odd reason is doing quick math as gobber lists the dragons that are behind the tight metal gates.

“Interesting kids…” Tonowari obersves how each teenager is like. From the annoying twins to the tough girl act, Astrid. While at the same time, Jake was able to enjoy how Astrid was like. Reminded him so much of a certain tough girl.

“Today is about survival. If you get blasted, you’re dead!” Gobber informs. Tisreya claps her hands as ao��nung listens to what gobber is saying.

“It is just like an iknimaya. Learning at first hand, "Tonowari says in awe. He enjoys the scene as the kids in screen run for their lives and make a fool of themselves. The reef kids all smile as they remember their early stages and future stages of their iknimaya.

“Is it similar to what you had to go through?” Ao’nung asks neteyam, the young boy nods “similar yes. Remind me of how we tamed out ikrans”.

“And remember, dragons always go for the kill” Gobber stares at hiccup after his massive mistake. Ao’nung and rotxo tilt their heads on that one.

“If that is true, why didn't the night fury attack him then?”

Hiccup began to slowly gain the trust of the nightfury, keeping his distance while feeding it fish.

“I guess for humans its harder since neither the dragon or hiccup have a way to connect” it fascinates tisreya. Using a queue makes a bond easier. However for humans, it takes a lot of work and a lot of patience. And it shows the results.

The nightfury, who was given the name toothless, has come to enjoy hiccups presence.

“Their bond grows stronger” Tonowari looks in awe. Reminds him of how the animals bond and grow alongside the na’vi. As the movie continues, seeing how dragons live, and learning through hiccup, it was literally learning a whole new world, or in this case, the old world.

Ronal however, seems to wonder about future possibilities. Balancing a secret and becoming ‘popular’ is multitasking. “It is only a matter before the truth comes to light…”

Ronal was correct.

Hiccup’s secret was found out, without meaning to. He has a final test, to defeat a dragon in the trial dome. Everyone was cheering him on, but his life was in danger. Hearing his shouts, toothless heard and ran for his aid. Exposing to the whole village that the infamous nightfury was there all along.

And to make matters worse, stoick used toothless as a naivator to find the queen of the dragons nest.

“He is going to get everyone killed!!” tsireya shouts/whispers. Hugging her knees tight, feeling sad for hiccup and toothless.

Clearly a war with the dragons seems very dangerous, even with the prepared weapons to take all of the dragons down, the queen is not a dragon that can be taken down so easily. And when she came to full view, was she terrifying.

“So horrid…”

“Yet to captivating”

Neytiri and Jake enjoy seeing the metkayina’s reactions. The reveal of the queen never fails. “The queen will surely give me nightmares tonight” Ao’nung says, not liking how many sharp teeths the giant dragon has. Neteyam chuckles at that, “don't worry my friend, a true dragon queen is never ugly. Beautiful in reality”.

Ao’nung looks over at neteyam with some doubt, “you make it sound as if you met a real dragon”

Neteyam didnt say anything further and just enjoy the movie.

“NO!”

Rotxo hid his face with the empty popcorn bucket, not wanting to see the impact of hiccup’s ultimate demise. Tsireya hides her eyes also, ready to cry if the poor boy is dead. “Please tell me he is not dead…I can't look '', lo’ak chuckles at that. “Come on, look, you will miss it” he encourages. Gently lifting tsireya’s chin to face the film, worry clearly seen in her eyes.

In sigh of happiness and relief, they all see toothless covering passed out hiccup. Stoick goes to see his son, safe and in one piece. Well, almost in one piece.

“Oh no…” Ronal covers her mouth as it is revealed hiccup lost his leg. Tonowari leans in, whispering to himself, encouraging hiccup he can do it, he can walk with his new leg. “It's not going to stop him, for sure” ao’nung says, his eyes so glued in to the final parts of the movie.

“If the queen couldn't, nothing will” lo’ak says.

“It was hardly a queen” netyiri gently scoffing at the dead horrid dragon.

The door opens to show the village waiting for hiccup, welcoming back. And with a newfound perspective, thanks to him. Now the village embraces the dragons as their new companions. And of course, a new saddle to ride on, hiccup takes his flight in the new era of humans and dragons.

“This is berk, its snows 9 months of the year and hails the other three. Any food that grows here tough and tasteless, the people that grow here even more sore. The only upsides are the pets. While in some places have ponies, or parrots, we have dragons”

The credits began to role, thus the movie ended.

Tsireya and rotxo clapped enthusiastically, as ao’nung nodded in appreciation. Ronal and Tonowari nodded to neytiri and jake, their way of saying thanks for the delightful entertainment.

“That movie was incredible! But, were dragons indeed real? Have they gone extinct?” Tsireya could help but ask. She learned that the vikings were indeed real, but what else was real? As she asks aways, Ronal couldn't help but just notice something.

“Neytiri, where are your daughters? I haven't seen them since we got here” she asks. Neytiri chuckles a bit as she prepares some late night meals for everyone, “they will all be here soon”

“No sooner enough” was the voice of mo’at as she entered their home. The sully family welcomes her in, the metkayina greeting the tsahik. Mo’at sits beside her grandsons and accepts the meal from jake. “Where is kiri and tuk if I may ask? They missed such an amazing film!” Tsireya asks mo’at.

“That movie of the dragons? I have seen it endless amounts of times I can recite the whole thing. My granddaughters would agree on that” mo��at answers.

“But where are they?”

“Enjoying the real dragon experience”

This confused the reef na’vi a bit. But before anyone else can say anything, there was a loud shreek. It was an unfamiliar sound, at least to tonowari and his family. But this sound brought smiles to the sully family. “Right on time” jake said, everyone running out to see what it was.

Opening the flaps wide, ronal peeked out and gasped loudly.

“Is that…”

“Oh my Eywa they are real!!”

A dragon! A mighty one at that! It gently flapped its wings, landing down safely on a very thick branch. Climbing down was kiri and tuk, whose hairs were literally everywhere. “We are home!” tuk announces happily, running towards jake who catched her in mid jump. “Mom, you should have joined us, it was simply wonderful,” kiri says as she smiles.

Tonowari and his family were left stunned and speechless, a dragon, in front of them!

“Come on, dont just stand there, you want to meet her?” Lo’ak says as he and neteyam go to the dragon.

“Her…?” tonowari repeats. Neytiri happily goes over to the dragon and gives her many kisses, the dragon releases what sound like pleasing purrs.

“Yes, this is…..”

Now that the past has come back into your life everyone and everything had changed greatly, for you and the family you had built here. There had been some good things that came from seeing your loved ones again, but you need feel uneasy about seeing Jake and neytiri again along with the rest of your clan. It had been many years since you had been casted out from your clan and fled from your home, and now ones who casted you out have asked for help that had been given. How long can everything stay so clam until it blows over and soon there not stopping it.

y/n " ......" it had become the second day of the arrivals of your family and old clan, the first was very good for you as you seem to keep some distance from you and everyone else that hurt you in the past.

Kawwney " what the matter my love and don't tell me nothing, I know you so well" kawwey was cleaning his spare when he had noticed something was the matter with her.

y/n " I wish for someone who are very close to me and that I care, about to meet the triplets"

later that night

kawwney " this set looks amazing ma y/n you have done well"

y/n " thank you and I offer you a big thanks as well for help, me get everything ready and caught this big fish"

kawwney " you are welcome we have enough bowls and plates right"

kawwney " I'm here for you this dinner will be good"

It made you happy to see your family getting along well and growing as well. The night had ended well and you had gone to bed happy, knowing that you have overcome one challenge and there were many left but you are not alone.

Neteyam x metkayina reader

Summary: Tisreya your sister drags you to meet the new comers and you can’t help but fall in love with the oldest son of the Sully family

So far It was a normal day in the island of the Metkayina clan the sky was bright and the ocean waves were as peaceful as they can be.

the Metkayina people were doing their day to day business, Planting and maintaining the crops, fishing or riding their bonded animals in the beautiful blue water or tidying their homes.

this was what you would call a perfect day though you were stuck inside making baskets that your mother made you do as a lesson to help you become Tsahìk which you wouldn’t usually mind but today was a beautiful day which only made you feel gloom in the darkness of your family’s marui.

Just as you were getting to the strap of your newly made basket that your mother would probably use for food, your sister Tsireya runs into the small home making you flinch and drop the basket onto the floor.

“Oh Eywa,Tsireya you scared me!”you moaned to which Tsireya ignored and grabbed your hand

“There is new arrivals come see them quickly”She exclaimed and started to pulled you up and stared to rush you outside without taking her hand out yours

“Wait what do you mean new arrivals?”You asked stumbling after your sister who was now practicing dragging you down the slightly bouncy walk ways

“Just come look!”just like she said most of the Metkayina clan we’re surrounded around a group of Omatikaya people

Curiosity rushed through your body as you and your sister got closer to the circle of people

“Sorry excuse me, sorry”You apologised as your sister dragged you through your people and to the front of the circle beside your mother and father

finally being able to look at the new comers clearly there was six of them two older ones which only made you assume they were the parents of the younger dark blue navi’s beside them

you glanced to the young girl hugging her fathers hand as if he would disappear if she let go

The small girl met your eyes and gave you a shy smile, you smile back giving her a little wave which made her look away and hide into her dads arm, you looked at the other girl who was about your age, she kept to herself and a bit away from her family holding onto her shawl.

Finally you looked to the two boys on their father left side, one had one side of his head shaved and was staring beside you, you frowned and looked to your side to see your little sister looking down at the ground blushing,

you smirk slightly and looked at the final boy who was already staring at you

he was about your age with his hair braided falling down to his shoulders, as you were looking him up and down he just watched you with a heart filled eyes he had never seen a beauty just like your self before and honestly he was in love already

Your eyes met his again and you smile lifting your hand slightly giving him a small shy wave just like you had with the smaller Navi to which he awkwardly gave you one back obviously a bit awkward with a lot of people already looking at him because of his different appearance than the rest of the Navi living on the island

“These’s are my daughters Y/n and Tsireya, they will show you to your marui and help teach your children our ways”Your father spoke breaking you out of you love filled staring contest with the handsome new boy.

Index: The readers parents were killed in the war between the sky people and the Na'vi they fought with the Na'vi the reader was trained to fight and survive by Jake she ended getting close to the Sully kids years later both her and the Sully family had to leave and find someone to stay to protect the clan from the next threat. Warnings: Character death, lots of angst, and cussing

"Go!" You say sternly turning to face Lo'ak, and Neteyam they both jumped into the water you following after shortly while being shot at.

As you come up for air you feel a sharp pain throughout your whole body mainly your chest Lo'ak and Neteyam are on the ilu Tisreya hanging on "You both are idiots you know that" You say your voice strained Tisreya looks at you her eyes widening at the sight "Y/n" Shock lasing her words.

Neteyam looks over "Shit" He pushed Lo'ak off the ilu and swam to you and grabbed you with Tisreyas help lifting you onto the ilu with him he rode away to a rock where he seen his dad.

"Dad, Dad its Y/n shes been shot," He helped lift you up with his dads help "watch her head" He kept repeating.

When you were laid down on the rock he jumped out the water and came and sat by your side holding your hand Jake lifted you a bit to see how deep the wound was "Fuck" He said laying you back down everyone was now next to you he grabbed Neteyams hands "Pressure! apply pressure" Neteyam put pressure on your wound you hissed in pain.

Neytiri showed up and seen you on the ground she jogged over and got on her knees worried about losing you.

"We're losing her!" You reach and grab Neteyams hand "Neteyam," you struggle to get air into your lungs as you try to finish your sentence "i-" Your gripped loosened completely Neytiri started to scream and cry uncontrollably Neteyam started to cry begging for you to come back.

Jake tried calming them down "Our work here isn't done, i need you back" He said as he grabbed Neytiri's face he then looked at Neteyam "Where are your sisters," he only looked at him "i said where are your sisters" He looked at the ship "On the ship" Jake and Neytiri went to go find their daughters leaving Neteyam with you.

Back at the village that night

Neteyam was swimming next to your body as it lay in a large leaf he watched as you body floated to the bottom of the sea "Mother always said all energy was borrowed and one day must be returned I guess this is what she meant"

Neteyam didn't have any reaction as he watched your body be swallowed by the sea later that night Tisreya took him to the tree of life he attached his queue and closed his eyes.

Neteyam opened his eyes to see you standing there where the two of you always sparred Neteyam ran to you and hugged you tightly not letting go "Neteyam you can not longer see me at the tree of life again" He looked at you confused by your words "I wish I could join you, but this will have to be enough" He grabbed your hand looking into your eyes "What do you mean? Cant I just see you again?".

You shook your head in response "Maybe in another life we'll meet again" Neteyam shook his head "And what if we don't" You smiled "We've met before, and we'll meet again in another life."

The present

10 year old you sits up in your bed sweating and crying the "nightmare" didn't scare you it never has it feels more like deja vu as if that had really happen you turned and laid back in your bed covering up.

The next morning you seen your friend Rebecca "Becca, i had that dream again the one about the blue aliens and humans at war" Rebecca looks at you interest in her eyes "Ouu was that boy in it again" You rolled your eyes and laughed at her "We both want to be in the military so who knows maybe those blue alien things are real and maybe one day we'll get to go to Pandora" you smiling at the end.

I love this request and there will be parts to this story and time skips.
