Happy Pride Month and (very belated) Solarpunk Aesthetic Week! I wanted to redesign my longtime OCs, so I decided to give them a thematic twist!

Self-indulgent details about their designs under the cut:

From left to right:

Mia Based on the romantic/cottagecore style, and incorporating aspects of Eastern/Central European folk dresses, such as the Czech kroj. Her vest is made from recycled overalls and excess fabric from her apron. Her natural motif is fungi -- her bow and earrings are amanita mushrooms (if you squint, her skirt looks like one too), and the frills on her collar + sleeves are chanterelles!

Clyde He's a bohemian kinda guy, so I kept his silhouette relaxed and unstructured + harem pants + accessories. The exception is his jacket, a union of 3 different garments made to loosely resemble traditional Indian clothing like the achkan. His natural motif is the sun - hence the warm tones, which is contrasted with splashes of teal, the colour of his aura (its a fictional superpower thing).

Glace His style is more preppy/academia - turtlenecks and sweaters are his type, so I gave him 3! Sewn together in a visible mending-esque style (inspired by tumblr solarpunks and their fashion projects)! His palette is taken from the mlm flag, and there's subtle elements of a Korean hanbok - his collar, sleeve shape, sash and tassel. Rips in his pants are covered by cloud patches (his motif), all dyed to match the aesthetic!

Simmer Her thing is streetwear with a cultural twist - her top combines a bomber jacket and a Chinese qipao/cheongsam. Her detachable sleeves are extended via sewn-on zippers (useful as her powers generate a lot of heat)! Her motif is the phoenix, with patterns on her shirt and collar, hand-decorated using the batik method. Her hair streaks are inspired by stripes on a tiger - Malaysia's national animal.

Axis She's all about the y2k aesthetic, with translucent tights and a hoodie stylishly revamped to form a super crop top + a figure-hugging bodysuit. Her design is inspired by indigenous Andean fashion, such as the Ecuadorian pollera, which her skirt might be repurposed from. Her motif is butterflies, as seen in her earrings, the shape of her bodysuit, and the wing-like curves of her skirt.

Piper Initially wanted a punk-ish vibe for him but he might be a bit too cute now oops! His jacket is a mashup of 3 different pieces, and his jeans are a patchwork of denim. He's got iconic looks from French fashion (beret and scarf), as well as some African designs (the vertical pattern I referenced looked like plant cells, but also like binary code? I thought it was so on theme)! His motif is obviously plants of all types!

Don't mind me, I saw an edit of the Dracula musical and got pissed.

SO THE GODFORSAKEN DRACULA MUSICAL. I will. I promise. I will fuck up the J&H musical too, it's also by Frank Wildhorn, but I need to hammer on this one shitty thing about the Dracula musical. Or several shitty things about the Dracula musical. I still need to post a rewrite.

TL;DR: The musical is super inconsistent about what it takes to become a vampire, and VH is so useless against Dracula that he's borderline allied with the guy. They're fucking behind the scenes. They're Bonnie & Clyde-ing it. There is no better explanation for how awful VH is at his job.

So, in the beginning, they lean hard into the homoeroticism of Dracula and Jonathan's relationship. Lots of touching and invasion of privacy. Dracula shaves Jonathan. This theme in the story is dropped as soon as the castle scenes are done though. With the Oct 3 scene going so far as to have Dracula tell Mina that he would have already murdered Jonathan if not for the fact he was her husband. What? This point will make less sense in a sec.

Now, here is a kicker. So, this is one of those 'the bites and blood-sharing are basically sex' ones. Jonathan does get assaulted by the Weird Sisters. Unfortunately, they depict him throwing off his crucifix and fully embracing it which is kind of heinous but he is very clearly not entirely well, I assume he's hopped on vampire drugs. In fact, I'd assume that every "consensual" bite in this is under the influence of hypnotism.

They bite him. Several times on several parts of his body. And when they sing the line "I taste your blood on my lips", he sings along, implying that they also fed him their blood. Then Dracula comes in. And he explicitly promises that he will grant both Jonathan and his wife immortality (and yet a few months later I suppose he just decides he's no longer bisexual). Jonathan rejects his "offer", and Dracula retaliates by drinking enough from Jonathan to age down into a young man!

Jonathan and Mina meet Van Helsing at Lucy's funeral. Fucking lazy bullshit way of doing it, but hey, they didn't have that much run time considering how many sad ballads they gave the villain. Van Helsing immediately knows that Lucy's death was the work of Dracula specifically and, without a beat, asks Jonathan if he got bitten.

"Only once," Jonathan says.

CUT BACK TO WHEN THE SISTERS WERE GNAWING ON HIS ENTIRE BODY AND FEEDING HIM THEIR BLOOD. NOW CUT BACK TO THIS SCENE.

This response would be okay if Jonathan were saying it for Jonathan reasons. NOPE. This response is treated as gospel, and you know what VH says? "Okay, only once? Sure, that's nothing. Just rest and eat well I guess."

EXCUSE ME???

In this musical, Lucy dies from getting bitten twice. Once when she sleepwalked and once after her wedding to Arthur. Yeah, they had the wedding, and still, Lucy wasn't allowed to live. Sucks to be blonde, I guess. Lucy hallucinates Dracula at her wedding and passes out. Seward calls up Van Helsing, and you know what Van Helsing does? He forces Lucy to sleep on the couch (okay okay some productions make it a bed) in a room with a doored balcony, completely alone. Then, because the plot hates her, she throws out the tiny amount of garlic decorating the room and lets Dracula in. They sing a shitty love song and Dracula murders her. Very next morning, Arthur goes to kiss her and she pounces. VH aggressively prays at her, and her poor heart stops right then.

TWO BITES. Maybe they intended it to be implied that more bites happened (trust me, it wouldn't make sense if they had), but they did a shit job of it. Maybe that shitty song was meant to communicate that they did the blood ritual? Okay. You know what other song communicated that the blood ritual was done? Blut: the song where Jonathan is assaulted.

Now, I don't think it's a matter of exposure, Lucy having two nights and Jonathan having only one night because Mina gets the blood ritual the very night that she finally meets Dracula in person. Yeah, this musical that tries to play up a Dracula/Mina romance only has the couple meet after Mina has sung more than one song about how much she hates Dracula and wishes he would leave her alone. All other interactions are Dracula creeping on her using the force or something.

So, yeah, Jonathan's bite is trivialized, I can only assume because of sexism. Because what else separates him from Lucy and Mina? He had SO much blood taken from him. What? Can men take more bites, Van Helsing? You absolute whore? How do you know that?

The only thing stopping me from headcanoning that VH is just Dracula but in an overcoat is that they do have a fight song. But you know what? You can still headcanon that they are in cahoots because it's some bullshit. Their reasons for hating each other (VH's gf was eaten by Dracula)? Easily forged. The song they sing? So cliché. They're really hamming up the fact that they're gonna kill each other and then make no move to harm the other. VH's actions? All convenient to Dracula's plans. Disregard Jonathan's bite to make him more vulnerable/a possible threat. Leave Lucy alone in a room with an open fucking balcony. LEAVE MINA ALONE IN THE CASTLE.

YEP, THAT IS RIGHT. The whole team goes to the castle together and VH drags Mina away from the rest of the group, draws a shitty circle around her, and then skedaddles. And moments later, Dracula comes in and forces her to break the circle, forces her to declare her love for him, and then has a sudden epiphany of "whoa actually killing girls is bad" and forces her to stab him. She couldn't even kill her abuser on her own terms.

This whole musical sucks ass. It has to bend over backwards to have the Dracula/Mina romance because they retain the canon fact that Mina despises and fears Dracula. And you know, they retain all the points in which Dracula tortures and kills Mina's loved ones. Remember again that Dracula attacks Jonathan and claims that he would have killed him if Mina didn't love him? *Gestures to Lucy* where was that shit logic with Lucy? Does Lucy not count, you goddamn homophobe?

Anyway, I'll probably post another rant saying how I'd spin it one day with the first course of action being that Lucy doesn't die because it is so pointless to the musical and fundamentally destroys the plot they're trying to set out. And I'm just tired of Lucy dying in every adaptation simply because she must when she could do so much more for the plot alive.

Hey Clyde can you elaborate on the “No because…Ted was so deeply traumatized” GIF please?

Of course!

Obviously that's Tomlinfonda's post/argument, so I can only speak to my own interpretation of things, but basically it's acknowledging the tragic implications of our finale. Ted goes back to his son, but far more than that he isolates himself from everything and everyone else. It's all well and good to make headcanoned claims about his life in Kansas --"He's Ted Lasso. Of course he'll make a ton of new friends!" -- but based on what we're shown on screen, AKA the canon, Ted has rejected everything but his role as Henry's father.

He is no longer a premiere league coach, he's a kid's league coach for Henry.

He's no longer keeping some distance from Michelle post-divorce/post-dating Jacob for his own comfort and mental health, he's closely co-parenting with her for Henry.

He's not BFFs with Beard anymore, attending pivotal moments like his wedding, he's spending quality time with Henry.

He's no longer a part of the Richmond community or the Kansas community (we don't see Ted happily chatting with some extra at the game, an easy way to show that he's forming new bonds, nor has the series introduced Kansas friends he's still in contact with) he's a part of the Being Henry's Dad community.

I'm going to talk about this a lot more in the giant-ass meta I'm working on, but the tl;dr is that no one (that I've come across) is upset that Ted went back to Henry, only that the show implied that he gave up EVERYTHING ELSE to do that. Instead of having Henry come to London, or doing the work to make Kansas feel like a place Ted wants to be in for reasons other than this being where Henry currently lives, everything we get implies isolation and discomfort. No one is there to greet Ted at the airport (a sharp contrast to Rebecca tearfully seeing him off, previously begging him to stay). Michelle's house is a dull, sad-looking color pallet compared to the vibrancy of Richmond. She keeps literal distance from Ted, remaining in the doorway while Henry runs to his side and watching him walk in with arms crossed. We know he's not comfortable with her dating Jacob (quite understandably). Ted is not shown to attend ANY of the pivotal moments of his found family: wedding, book signing, giant get-together, despite having the time and financial means to do so. There are no more Diamond Dogs. There's no scene of him baking. No details to remind us of why he once loved his home state, like sunflowers and BBQ sauce. Ted can no longer challenge himself with the complexities coaching a premier team, despite having just come off of a brilliant season that involved re-inventing a whole new strategy. He's back to giving Season One advice of "Be a goldfish" - AKA just ignore what's bothering you, work to literally forget it, rather than engage with it as a means of self-improvement. It's a fine bit of advice for a missed goal, but in the context of his final line of the show? It reinforces the reading that Ted has regressed. Significantly.

"That's not true, Clyde, he's stopped running away from Henry now!" Ehhh has he? I mean yes, he's literally, physically there, but how healthy is that going to be for either of them in the long run if Ted hasn't addressed the root of his anxieties and, as Tomlinfonda's post says, has "killed every part of himself" that's not fatherhood? Ted was happy in London, thriving, right up until his mom unexpectedly arrived and gave him a massive guilt-trip about long-distance parenting. After three seasons of promoting, fighting for, and fully embracing non-traditional relationships, the series end with Ted panicking, going back to where he's "supposed" to be so that he can be the Mid-Western Nuclear Family Father™ that his mother expects. Why? Because Ted lost his own father and he's terrified of doing the same thing to Henry. I've even seen fans talking about how Ted has successfully broken a "cycle" by going home, but what the show and those fans both fail to realize is that living in another country and dying by suicide are not the same thing. Ted never "abandoned" Henry and we sure as hell can't equate him taking a long-distance job/moving permanently to somewhere he loves with his own father's death. If anything, this ending feels like the OPPOSITE of breaking that cycle to me. Moving between parents in two different countries, or moving permanently to London might hold a number of challenges for Henry (even though this is a show where characters frequently make huge life changes without any of the realistic consequences and I don't understand why these challenges are suddenly relevant now... ) but is that really worse than growing up with a father who, based on these last ten minutes, does not come across as happy to me? Who's presented as comparatively isolated? Who isn't shown engaging with anything that's not related to his son? Who may be back here in part due to outside pressure and his own, panicked assumptions? Who, according to what's shown on screen (remember, everything else is a heacanon) he has no identity now outside of his role as a father? I wish someone had ASKED Henry what he wants because despite the clear excitement about Ted coming home, this is a kid who is emotionally intelligent enough to realize what's been making his dad happy. No, you can't put that kind of decision-making pressure on a real child, but a fictional one in a trope-heavy show? Let Henry decide to move/continue long distance because more than wanting his dad beside him 24/7, he wants his dad to be happy.

Because... seriously. If we're worried about Ted potentially repeating the cycle of suicide, I'd say removing him from the support system he's slowly built over three years, denying him major connections with his friends, removing the intellectual challenges he loved, plopping him back in a state he's outgrown, keeping him close to an ex-wife and former marriage counselor now dating said ex-wife and a mother he's harboring a lot of anger towards, plus leaving us on the implication that he's backsliding by trying to ignore his problems instead of tackling them because, you know, he hasn't seen his therapist in months and all the people who know him well enough to challenge him are an ocean away... that's all a bit more concerning than an ending that says, "Ted needs to figure out how to parent Henry from London long-term" or "Ted needs to figure out how to integrate Henry and Michelle into his London life."

Parts of the fandom: Thank god Ted went back to Henry :) All he needs is his son :) He's improved so much in his mental health :) I'm so proud of him :)

It's an ending that says your child is the only thing that matters. Your friends, your career, your hobbies, what you need for your mental health... give all of it up despite, as the rest of the show argues, the fact that you don't have to. The problem is 100000% NOT that Ted ends the series with Henry. I wanted and fully expected them to reunite. But Ted reunites in a way that has him rejecting everything about himself that doesn't directly support his son, all of which is based off of -- imo highly inaccurate -- anxieties about what a "real" father looks like and the presumed fragility of kids. Ted rejects three years of growth and family because he fears that not doing everything that's easiest for Henry -- be there 24/7, don't make him move, don't complicate things with his mom, etc. -- will somehow make him feel the same way Ted feels after the death of his father. In reality, these situations are nothing alike, Ted is feeding the very anxieties he's been working to overcome, Henry has not displayed any significant difficulties with an unconventional family unit, and a happy, supported Ted would ALWAYS be a better father to Henry than one who feels trapped and isolated. The show could have easily given us a reunion while allowing Ted to keep all that he's built -- Rebecca lays out how that can happen right on screen! -- and instead the show chose to have Ted sacrifice everything but Henry when it's oh so clear he never had to.

Which yeah, feels tragic to me. Or at the very least incredibly bittersweet, with a huge emphasis on the bitter. There's nothing wrong with those endings, but it's not a conclusion that I think fit Ted Lasso's genre, or served the rest of the series well.

tl; dr: I can’t afford my bills this month due to chronic unemployment and waiting for a response from the SSA about disability. my payment info is at the bottom of the post, as well as information about art commissions. As of Feb. 23, I'm only $43 away! I really appreciate all the help i've gotten so far.

I'm Clyde. Nice to meet you. I'm a 24 y/o white transman. I go into it more below, but I deal with depression, anxiety, a possible dissociative disorder, and psychotic symptoms. I also had a spinal fusion surgery when I was 17 which had to be revised twice and never healed quite right, giving me some serious chronic pain. Let me tell you about my situation a bit.

Last year, I had to leave the longest job I've held to date. I liked it, but between my own paranoia, physical issues, and moving out on top of it, it was impossible to keep working there. Since then, not only has my car become undriveable, but my mental health has continued to decline.

Last July, I filed for disability. They said it takes ~8 months. I'm expecting a response in March or April. I'm also expecting a denial. I can only work a maximum of 20 hours a week and have a lifting restriction of 35lbs. I can't do call center work, I'm unskilled, got my GED and didn't finish my associates. I also experience migraines and vertigo that make me a working liability, since I might fall over on the job. But as we all know, that doesn’t mean I can’t work!

Other factors keeping me from employment:

agoraphobia

chronic pain due to a spinal fusion surgery that had to be revised twice

my car is broken down and it costs ~$650 to get it operable again (keyword operable. Not safe-to-drive.)

i have to bike to and from work, which cuts into the 20 hours a week I can work and causes me significant pain

I'm in the process of talking to a therapist about a possible dissociative disorder and being plural.

dissociation makes me fuzzy (i don't experience full blackouts, but i have to search for memories and sometimes it feels more like I'm watching from a different perspective)

I'm in a pickle because I need *$730 a month* to make rent and bills. I don't qualify for SNAP in my state because my roommates make too much money, regardless of how much food they're willing to share with me in a month. *The $730 doesn't include food money.* Ideally I'll be able to take a bus to a food bank, but given how often I'm able to leave the house and the fact I can't make the fare means that not only will the trip take ~4 hours, but I also can't afford it.

I do have some things going for me. I'm still on my parents insurance, they pay my phone bill, and occasionally they're able to send me money. They're in debt though, and they really can't afford to be supporting me like this.

So let's put it on the table.

This month, I've made partial payments on things. I still need $453.98 to pay my bills. I am begging you to consider sending even a little my way, as every bit helps. I'm willing to talk about my experiences with you further if you reach out.

Probably not. I actually saw a take from an Izzy Stan once that I low key agreed with but I didn't reblog it because obviously, but it is relevant here so I'll repeat it.

Jack and Ed have a similar response or a crowd turning against them, probably because they came up in piracy similarly, but they have that response for vastly different reasons, and in different ways.

When a crowd turns against Ed he takes it personally and tries to kill everybody. When a crowd turns against Jack he doesn't take it personally and tries to kill everybody. I hope this makes sense (using episodes 5, 8, and 10 as evidence) somewhere along the line they both learned that the correct reaction to a crowd turning against you is to try to get rid of as many of them as you can, which makes sense, if you're a pirate captain and a crew turns against you it's mutiny o'clock. And Ed and Jack are the two pirate captains ever so...

Now I could see an argument for the Jack doesn't take it personally assertion because he does in fact say the line "well when tie an anchor around your leg and toss you overboard it feels pretty personal." And Ed has the line "I know he comes on a bit strong at first but he's insecure". I tend to think he could be insecure without taking that specific scene with Karl personally given that it's repeatedly established that the crew aren't very serious pirates, which I think Jack gives wayyyyy less of a fuck about than Izzy so long as they're drinking with him, but could still probably use to mend a bruised ego. so whether he takes things like this personal hinges on the tossing you overboard line, which he may or may not have been lying about. We have no solid evidence either way. So I tend to waffle based on what's funniest. I've been on a he's lying kick recently because he's my garbage little dirtbag meowmeow. But sometimes I think about him surviving three separate mutinies and having to agree to this plan because he's broke now and I think about the fact that he showed up in a dinghy and I'm like... Meow meow is also having a midlife crisis and he can't die and that is very funny to me. So that statement about him not taking it personally might not be true and as much as I think the line about pirates not needing friends was pure gass to try to hurt Ed for leaving, which he absolutely would have cried about later if the cannonball hadn't immediately given him much bigger problems, he is pretty fucking blaze about the whole thing the next day. And he was planning on leaving with just Ed.

Now what I want you to consider is imagine he has been mutinied three times. I didn't think about this til right now but I want us to think more about why he does say "whose with me in" this scene. If enough of those fuckers agree to leave with him, Stede is no longer the fucker with the boat, Jack can leave Stede and Buttons on the beach of blind man's cove for the British to find the next day, take his crew, and fuck off to go be Bonnie and Clyde core evil boyfriends with Ed again. That was never ever ever gonna happen but I feel like Jack doesn't quite know how astronomically long of a shot that is. I haven't thought about why he would faument mutiny against Stede other than "he's a douchebag and trying to take a shot as he leaves" until now but there is a reason. Like any more opportunist less tightly knit pirate crew would be like "sorry about your bird Buttons but Blackbeard and Calico Jack know what they're doing we can make more money if we go with them"

Jack doesn't know how deep these emotional ties run is what I'm saying. He doesn't know they're fambly. He doesn't know that Ed is madly in love with the guy who he's been hanging out with for *checks notes* these past few weeks/one moon cycle. How would he know that? He showed up yesterday and spent all of it drunk.

I think too much about this man.

Anyway TL;DR: nah he seems way to chill about it the next day and I think his intention was always to leave with Just Ed he just wanted to see if he could get more bang for his buck and when he couldn't ... Well... "Later losers."

Content of post: Hi, I'm an arborist. This means I am a professional in the cultivation, management, and study of trees. I love trees. I think they're some of the most beautiful, majestic, ancient living beings on our planet.

Today I am here to tell you a story of death, new life, and revenge. Three years ago today, the city council of Redondo Beach California ordered the death of my 30 year old pepper tree. Its roots had begun to penetrate the pavement in front of my house. The city noticed and issued a death warrant of my tree. They furthermore made me pay for the damages to the sidewalk and for the tree removal.

I loved Clyde [the tree]. I’m beginning to get older, and planting something that I knew would live well beyond my lifetime was something very special. I took very good care of him. I drained his soil, I gave him a crutch to lean on when he was a young lad, and I watched him grow. Just as Clyde was becoming a strong healthy individual, expanding his root system, developing a canopy, and making his own way in life, the mayor took it upon himself to uproot my beautiful child.

Mayor Steve Aspel. You killed my child.

For this, you will pay. Two years and seven months ago, I secretly planted 45 California Redwoods and 82 Giant Sequoias in various parks, yards, and state properties around your city.

Today, each of their root systems will be at least 30 feet in diameter, and deeply embedded in the soil. You may have noticed the trees growing in front of city council, or that new one that sprouted up in your backyard. That's a Giant Sequoia, and its growth will begin accelerating rapidly in the coming months.

You killed Clyde, but I have replaced him with over 100 living giants. And giant they will become. In a few years, they’ll begin breaking heights of 100-300 feet and live well beyond 2,500 years. That’s way longer ago that Jesus was born. To remove even one of them at this point will cost well over $1500… And I’m stiffing you with the bill, just like you did to me 3 years ago today.

tl;dr: Arborist loved Clyde, their pepper tree on their front yard. City council removed the tree and made them pay for it. Arborist then got revenge by planting a bunch of Giant Sequoias and California Redwoods near the city council building and the mayor's house. Said trees grow huge and would absolutely destroy the buildings they were planted near.

Also she very well might be unaware / closeted? Because she only shows actual interest for the one guy who's openly unavailable and uninterested, and while she goes to the dance with Clyde, it's sort of implied it's only reluctantly/after much nagging/groveling and Craig's described as thinking Bebe wouldn't give Clyde the time of day, much less her heart, or something along those lines, in first few chapters.

Oh, yeah, and, I guess she's only enthusiastically talking when it's with Wendy, or about cheerleading, with Tweek.

Hello! I've been reading your thoughts on 3 Nopes and I wanted to leave a comment. I cannot fathom how and why they fucked up Claude this badly. But I think I understand why the situation is different in Azure Gleam vs the other shitty routes. That's because Dimitri won at Arianrhod. Claude is an opportunist in this game, and he sides with whichever country wins at Arianrhod. Thus, when Dimitri wins there, Claude sides with Faerghus (1/2)

Now, is this a good reason? Of course not. Claude wasn't an opportunist to this degree in 3H at all. He NEVER sided with Edelgard, he asked Dimitri for help in AM, gave Failnaught to Dimitri only in AM, and sided with the church in VW too. Claude was never this shitty type of villain before. But if they were trying to make Claude into an opportunist weathervane now, I can understand why the battle at Arianrhod changes his perspective in terms of potential allies (2/2)

I honestly cannot remember the order of events across the routes, because certain points are staggered. It definitely makes sense that Claude-turned-Acheron would use this as the turning point, but I honestly genuinely cannot remember if he allies with her before or after Arianrhod dlgkjdfg if only because Claude's reasoning for allying with her is to appease her, secure the Federation's safety, and dig in their heels when it comes to knocking down Faerghus so that Leicester wouldn't be next. I find it odd that he would ally with them after taking the Kingdom's most famous stronghold, because Arianrhod is the pillar of their defence, and if Claude wants to keep Faerghus intact so the Alliance won't be next . . . seems a little silly to see their greatest stronghold fall and go "sick! time to make a friend." someone's definitely going to come in here and direct my weary ass to the Hopes evidence that proves me wrong, but oh well. This game is new, that's my defence, and I welcome all corrections.

ok so! the current au i have was made very sporadically while i was on the bus from college and/or high off my ass. alot of this stuff doesnt make sense and im working desperately to make it. its really just throwing pasta at the wall until it sticks.

my explanation will prolly be actual spoilers to my ask blog about the two [i havent even finished drafting story arc 1 because of this damn au].

tl;dr this au is just a big hurt/comfort obsession fanfiction [long post below just saying]

this au occurs in a different timeline. one where maisen ends up dying during an unprecedented demon ambush. clyde, now at the time gaining flawless ability to use his angelic powers, finds their corpse. in a desperate and selfish attempt to resolve this, clyde gave the remaining bits of his humanity to maisen. now, maisen is revived, but not completely. because angels already have so little humanity, clyde gave them the bare minimum remaining after entering his charged state. maisen can walk and talk just fine, but lacks the ability to emote. i express this in art by having maisen speak in lower caps.

also, because clyde gave up his humanity, he is now stuck in his charged state. non-angelic things cant kill him. hes pretty much immortal unless dealing with demons and angels. he cannot retract his angelic features in this state, only being able to take away his second pair of wings, but leaving him with a visible halo. because he is a guardian angel, he will stop at literally nothing to keep maisen alive a second time. much to maisen's dismay.

maisen views clyde's attempts at protection futile, and at the most, infuriating. this puts strain on their relationship. they become nothing more than work partners, with clyde trying to repair the relationship while maisen trying to figure themselves out. because of their lack of emotion, they now also lack romantic feelings. as a way to ignore that fear, maisen began telling themselves that this was premeditated from the start of meeting clyde.

hijinks ensue, lots of hurt/comfort because i am fucking INSANE.

Follower Milestone Celebration!
