Here's some Bayverse Bodyguard AU for you guys. The premise is the turtle clan started a security business. Not exclusively bodyguarding, but it's one thing you can hire them for. This takes place in a world where there was a mutagen bomb that mutated a population of New York. So mutants and humans live together. Though the turtles have the same origins. They were animals mutated as babies and the mutagen bomb was an event that happened in their teens. But since then, they've been able to walk around as regular citizens with a somewhat regular job.

Here's Bodyguard Raph, and then Venus hanging out with big bro. (Though she idolizes Leo and tries to emulate him. She's kind of a little shit to everyone.)

How is it going with writing for your au’s? ^w^

The next chapter of The Pied Piper of New York is almost done! Mostly just needs spell checking and fixing grammar. Chapters 11-15 have a finished first draft and I've got pieces of chapter 16 and 24 written down (chapter 24 might actually be the most self-indulgent thing I've ever written.)

Always and Forever (working title) has been started, but I'm currently debating if it should stay a oneshot, or be split into chapters and released over March, like once a week a new chapter is uploaded kinda deal. Part of it's to make sure the pacing works, but there's also a very real risk of it becoming a 20k+ word oneshot between now and March.

Having a bit of trouble with the next chapter of GS2. Slowly but surely writing it, mostly just worried about it not being very interesting, so I'm letting it fermet for a little bit. Hoping to update it next month.

Another reason GS2 is going slow may be because Hiding a Curse Gygoi has grabbed hold of my brain and chapter 1 of HAC is about 30% of the way through draft one.

Ageswap is on hold temporarily so I can just brain storm part 6. That'll be set when Yoshi is 14 and going top side for the first time on his own. Him and Shen are going to do so much stupid shit together I cannot wait.

The timeskip and bodyguard au are currently in a viscious knife fight over who gets to be written first. NGL timeskip is in the lead by virtue of I know how that one starts.

Not as big as a jerk as He Could Have Been (Ratchet and Clank au) is mostly just vibes, and those vibes are Dr Nefarious trying to knife Qwark in the back whilst Ratchet and Clank try to actually get stuff done.

So they're going pretty good all in all!

This crew that consits mostly of ocs are a group in my tmnt au. Basically they run this shelter place where mutants can stay if they have no place to go and they help them adjust to their new life!! It was basically created beacuse both Mona and Ignis expirenced what it's like to suddenly have your life ripoed away from you and be forced onto strange new body and having no idea how to continue on living. So they made a place that might help.

Logan is a animal born mutant who joined the crew later on as sort of bodyguard. Actually he just needed a place to stay and a new work after he left The Purple Dragons

Should Rise as a whole be considered a Separated au? Because originally in the third season, the turtles were going to get two extra sisters. Actually nvm probably not because we never actually got the two extra sisters!

This post is going to be rambly but the short answer is yes. Whilst there isn't alot of stuff to prove the existence of the sisters, there still is evidence none-the-less.

SO, I'm going to start with my definition of a separated AU: A separated au is where at least one turtle is raised separately from the others to a point where it makes a difference in how the turtles interact with eachother.

This would be appicable to the original plan for rottmnt because one of the sisters (Sister A) was going to be raised by Draxum to be his bodyguard then ended up in a different dimension and went a bit insane. The other sister (Frida (renamed from Venus de Milo?)) is Big Mama's Assistant and shes serious. idk why i explaied this (i wanted to)

Back to evidence, Ron Corcillo and maybe someone else have confirmed that the lost turtles are the boys' sisters. Plus evidence can be found in "Goyles, Goyles, Goyles" but I couldn't find the exact screenshot I was looking for.

If I were to be honest, I was somewhat expecting someone to submit rottmnt as a competitor. The only thing I can really think of is that the sisters (in the show) can't be in an au because its canon but woulod that then consider canon as the og au.

Now a complication I think of is if the sisters aren't turtles, do you consider them as a separated au. Personally, I would consider it to be a sep au as long as they are considered siblings. It is confirmed that they are turtles but I think of the possiblity since Big Mama's Assitant doesn't look very turtle-y to me but that could be because of alot of reasons

Under the cut my thoughts on if other iterations are separated aus because i think about this alot.

Batman vs. TMNT movies doesn't seem to be a separated au, they were just on vacation to Gotham from what I can tell.

In IDW, Raph was separated from the rest of the boys for a bit and it did impact their relations some so maybe. I haven't read that arc so I'm unsure how long Raph was gone. It also begs the question, was he surviving circumstances or was he being raised in some way. I think there is a certain age for separated aus vs like kidnapped aus or smth.

For 2012, my ansgty self likes to consider it a separated au because Miwa/Karai is the child of Splinter but then was raised by the Shredder. Then she realized familial love and was like seeya to the Shredder (i havent finished the series yet).

In Next Mutation, I guess its technically a separated au because the turtles were separated from Venus when they were mutated but they also used that the turtles "aren't biologically related maybe" to use Venus as a romance plot (Venus deserved better fr).

I was going to add more but then I forgor so heres these ones.

Honestly the MLP canon leans so heavily into like European centric fantasy tropes that just watching it would have given me some AU ideas for TMNT but with all the pony fanfic I’ve read it’s kind of turned up to eleven. Like. TMNT and UY lean way more into eastern mythos which is great and has lead to a lot of cool people making a lot of cool fics inspired by that fact.

BUT! I could make Usagi a battlemage bodyguard and Leonardo a prince who lives in a Camelot-esque castle. I could throw in some technomancy powered steampunk stuff too. Maybe some ancient curses. A chaos deity. No one could stop me.

TMNT ideas that I’d love to write, though I don’t know how or when:

-Crossover between Rise and 2012 (and maybe 2003) where they all are stuck in Rise’s New York... and there’s a musical curse on the entire city. Cue shenanigans, incredibly unusual bonding activities, and of course, musical numbers. (All stolen from other musicals because I can only write lyrics once in a blue moon, and definitely not on call. Yet.)

-A classic ‘next generation travels back in time to the canon of the show’.. except the 12 and Rise nextgens both travel back in time and they swap dimensions while they’re at it, so the 12 Turtles interact with the Rise kids and vice versa. Also the Leo’s swap too because why not have even More chaos.

-The Mothman Festival/Competition, a Rise fic taking place about a year after the movie, where the boys accidentally strand themselves in West Virginia and then discover a hidden society of moth yokai and become bodyguards for the Annual(actual amount of times it happens unknown) Mothman Competition. Also Mikey gets a boyfriend by the end of it.

-Self-indulgent 2012 fic where I give Leo an enemies-to-lovers arc without raising the weirdness of his love interest also being Splinter’s daughter. And it’s gay. Also other things happen, because introducing a batch of OCs right smack dab in the first half of S2 is bound to change the timeline and course of history, but it’s mostly Leo Gay.

-A sequel (or several, if we consider the possible oneshots) to the fic I’m currently writing that I can’t talk about because oops, ~spoilers~.

-A series of oneshots for Rise, each focused on a different turtle (+ April, I’m sure) that’s essentially a summary of what happens to them over the years after the show and movie’s end, showing snippets of the trials and tribulations, covering both of the things I’m thinking out fics for (The Mothman Competition for example) and the ones I’m not/am not sure I’d know how to write (which of course could change), all of the fics ending on the same day.

-The Rise, 2012, and 2003 (maybe even the 87 crew) all gets stuck in a room and forced to watch stuff. What it is could be anything- AUs angsty and crack alike, each of their respective shows, or even a Lair Games-esque documentary by the nextgen kids. But shenanigans are abound.

Usagi from Mystic Forest! I've drawn him before based on TMNT 2003, but we decided to change him a bit, so here's his full design!

He's a trained bodyguard for the Guardian Clans, but because of the lack of Guardians crossing into the Yokai Realm these days, he does a lot of work for the local Lord as well as side jobs.

He also fights as someone known simply as "Ronin" in the Battle Nexus Tournament. He fights honorably despite the tournament being pretty sketchy with a "no holds barred" rule. He never kills his opponent, allows them to surrender, and never uses cheap tricks.

Some Bodyguard AU thirst for your Sunday:

She watched him, sitting on the couch, unaware of her eyes on him from behind the cracked doorway. He was so handsome in his sleek, black suit. Long legs, one crossed over the other. Long, powerful arms stretched out over the back of the couch. She shouldn't have bothered him. Technically, he was still working. He was still on the clock, fully awake even after the party, making sure she was safe for the night.

But he was also patient and kind, and beautiful. And she wanted him. Maybe she could even have him if she was only brave enough.

Taking a breath, Mona Lisa stepped into the room, trying to make it as casual as possible. Trying to act like her heart wasn't pounding in his chest. His eyes were on her instantly. Always vigilant to any motion in the room. It was almost unnerving how nothing escaped the notice of either of her two bodyguards at any time. Still, she continued to approach.

“Donatello, would you mind?” She walked up to him and turned around, presenting the back of her dress. “I think the zipper's stuck.”

It was such an old line. Someone like Donatello would have seen right through it. But if he wanted the invitation...

Like in the movies, she imagined him standing up, getting in close. Nose in her hair, one hand smoothing down her arm and side as the other slowly revealed her bare back to him. It would be slow and sexy, feeling his hot breath on her skin. Feeling his want for her as he helped her out of her dress.

But the reality was Donatello didn't even have to stand up. He merely reached up for the zipper and, with a few tugs, pulled it all the way down. And then left it at that.

Mona stood there stupidly, unsure of what to do. This hadn't gone according to plan. Her first response was panic. She hadn't even considered this outcome. What the hell was she supposed to do now? The rational part of her brain spoke above her embarrassment. She hadn't lost anything yet. She could still play it off like this was what was supposed to happen the whole time.

Say thank you and go back to your room. He will never even realize if you leave now and act normal.

All the men she knew were humans, until her two latest bodyguards. How cliché of her to crush on the first mutants she had ever interacted with. So trite, so predictable. But Mona tried to remember to be kind to herself. She never put herself out there for a man. There was no need to. She already knew the answer would be no. She was brave to try for the first time ever and she was lucky to come out of it so unscathed.

She forgot to thank him for his assistance and turned to go, now eager to go back to her room and lick her wounds in peace. But as she moved to leave, Donatello's hand caught her wrist. His face was one of surprise and realization, as if he only now understood the intention of her actions.

“Do you...” he started, then cut himself off. “Can you help me with something?”

She blinked at him. “Yes. Anything.” It fell out of her mouth before she could really think about it. It was embarrassing. It sounded desperate, though she meant every word.

He too seemed a little flustered at her response. His golden eyes darted away as he said, “Could you help me with...my tie?”

It was on straight, completely in order as he always was.

“To...take it off?”

He nodded and she saw his throat swallow as she stared at it. She didn't really touch them, though she often wanted to. They were the ones who initiated touch—though always in a professional capacity. A soft touch to her arm or the small of her back to guide her or get her attention when they needed it. She had no need to touch them. And now she had been given a direct invitation. She mentally told herself to be cool about it.

She bent over, fully aware that her loose dress would give him a generous view of her cleavage, as she worked the knot of the tie until it was loose enough to pull one end through. The silky fabric gave a small hush of sound as she pulled it through the collar and away from him. The closest she had ever come to undressing a man. She wanted to keep going. It seemed he did, too.

“And the buttons?” he ventured.

Her heart skipped. There was no mistaking when he was asking of her. She was eager, but tried not to seem too desperate as she took her time, undoing one button, then another, then another. Enjoying his eyes at her as she worked.

Unbidden, her hands went to the collar and pulled it open. Jacket and shirt together were slipped off the wide frame of his shoulders. Her eyes drank him up. The textured, green skin. The delicate clavicle. The exposed part of his plastron. A peek of the turtle body beneath the human clothes that attempted to hide his form. She drank him up like he was a glass of cool water.

Her darting eyes were caught by his and he held them there as he gathered his feet under him and stood. Slowly, foot by foot he rose up; to her height, and then over her. She still had a grip on his clothes, which only pulled them further down his arms, revealing more of his body to her.

Her face warmed as he took up the space around her. His fingers slipped through the open back of her dress and found the dip of her spine. So subtly, he used that touch to pull her in a little bit closer.

His voice came out as a rasp. A tone she had never heard from him before. “Is there anything else I can do for you?”

In the bodyguard au, Splinter and Tiger Claw have worked together before. They actually work quite well together, and dated briefly. That relationship didn't last due to issues on both sides (Tiger Claw was already seeking revenge against Apolex for cutting his tail off, and this Splinter is an emotionally constipated disaster).

They can still work together if they're hired by the same person, but there's a lot of awkward tension and hurt feelings on both sides, which gets misinterpreted as them having a rivalry.

At some point in the bodyguard au, Tiger Claw is hired by the Shredder to track down Shen and Karai.

Shenanigans ensue.

The most logical thing for me to do would be to mash the Bodyguard AU together with.. Chosen Family.

LISTEN. LISTEN!!! It makes so much freakin' sense in regards what I had planned for the AU and ultimately will probably never do so the following WILL contain SPOILERS FOR CHOSEN FAMILY: • I planned for Splinter to have money reserves he still had access to from his former life as Lou Jitsu and he would have used that to buy a little house for Carol, April, the boys and himself • They mostly grew up away from harm besides some incidents of Draxum and Big Mama showing up, with some events leading to them siding with Splinter (Draxum kidnaps Mikey at one point and grew a soft spot for the little guy etc.) • Splinter was supposed to have a little working room with a sewing mashine where he would sew clothes for the kids but he would also sell them online with the name Sewer Rat • In the AU Splinter never turns as small as he is in the show because his outside influences are a lot better (not living in the sewers + good mental stability with Carol's help) • The kids still learn ninjutsu from Splinter, they still go on adventures together and save people left and right. The movie still takes place with some few differences • Big Mama becomes president and lets yokai trickle into New York to mingle and enables them to have a world OUTSIDE the Hidden City, basically giving them the freedom that Draxum tried to get through force • The boys become more and more famous. At that time Splinters brand "Sewer Rat" popped off and he's selling his clothes left and right.

• Mikey is an artist and model. Leo is an actor. Donnie is an inventor and tech specialist. I'm a little unsure what Raph would actually enjoy doing and I can see him being more in the background along with Donnie. April manages their PR • Despite their powers Splinter deems it still necessary to get a bodyguard/multiple bodyguards for them (maybe after some incident? who knows, certainly not me at the moment) AND THATS IT. I THINK. I PROBABLY HAVE MORE IDEAS BUT MAN, THIS IS ROTATING IN MY BRAIN RN.

For the AU where Abbie sticks around to help Dante raise Nero:

A young Nero (like, 8 or 10) discovering Agni and Rudra and making friends with them, clinging to them like teddy bears. I don't think he'd mind if they talked while he was kicking demon ass, just so long as they didn't do it in public. And they'd make good swords for the boy! Not his usual greatsword (Dante lets him train with Rebellion and Force Edge, until the events of Mallet Island, in which case Nero gets his own greatsword from the Order in Fortuna), but still good, and we all know Nero is good with fire. Dante probably gives him Ifrit, too.

Dante makes sure Agni and Rudra don't do anything to hurt Nero, on purpose or otherwise. The "otherwise" bit takes some flexibility, since Agni and Rudra don't really "get" humans/human society. This means they find Nero's homework very interesting, and sometimes Nero will bounce ideas off of them. Or just watch TV with them (I headcanon him as a TMNT fan), or read books to them. Its kinda sweet.

Other different things:

-Abbie is in charge of finances, which means Dante takes more mercenary jobs, bitch tho Dante might. Abbie tries to have Morrison and Enzo make sure its just bodyguard work, no assassinations or unnecessary killings. Dante needs to take care of Nero, and kids are expensive, so he does it anyway, even if he doesn't like it.

-Abbie also does the cleaning. And the, as she sees it, "easy stuff". Filing, planning appointments, getting groceries, cooking, picking Nero up and dropping him off at places. Because all that is just paperwork and running around- that's easy. Actually parenting is harder. And Dante is better at it with Nero than she is.

-Nero has a few new moves: Summoned Swords, like the ones Vergil uses, but also a stunning move, where Nero basically summons a ball of light and sound and concussive force to stun and confuse opponents. He can also control his Summoned Swords to go behind an enemy and then attack them from behind. Get inside their guard, kind of thing. He got the idea from Abbie telling him how to (have a better chance of) win(ning) at those dart games at carnivals: You throw the dart up at an angle, so that way it has more force when it hits the balloon. It still might not work, since carnival games are rigged all to shit, and Abbie would be very upfront with Nero and Dante about that. In that case, just go ahead and cheat/use demonic strength to throw the darts or whatever better than you would normally be able to. Abbie doesn't really see it as cheating, since the games are rigged in the first place.

-Nevan is in no way allowed around Nero, ever. Abbie threatened to stick Nevan in a trash can full of Holy Water and then stick said trash can in a walk-in freezer, encasing Nevan in Holy Ice if Nevan ever tried anything. Not that Dante would ever let her, but still.

-Assuming Dante and Nero move to Fortuna, Abbie would go with them and work as a bookshop keeper there, or a librarian. She basically gave up on going to college to learn devil hunting and help Dante protect/raise Nero. I'm not sure if Dante would move to Fortuna- the whole Order of the Sword thing makes his skin... not exactly crawl, but itch. All that worshipping of Sparda is just bizarre to him. And he doesn't want Nero getting a big head about his heritage. Yeah, Sparda was a great guy, and the power Nero inherited is immense, but still. Dante doesn't want Nero to end up being a dick about it. That, and the whole town is too much of a crab bucket for Dante yo really like living in. Abbie would probably hate it, too, but with the intent of trying to convince the crabs to get out of the bucket, as it were. Especially anyone Nero made friends with, like Kyrie or Credo.

If they don't move to Fortuna and Abbie still tries to stick around Dante to help out with Nero, I could see her, Dante, and Nero taking a trip to Fortuna when Nero is about 15 or so. Just so Nero can see the city, and know about the Order of the Sword. Dante hates the place, and none of them really trust the Order of the Sword, but Nero meets Kyrie there, and immediately becomes friends with her, so they all tolerate it. Abbie tries to get Kyrie out of Fortuna on trips with Nero. Something fun, like Nero taking Kyrie to a carnival and showing her around, or to Dumary Island to meet Lucia, or even just letting Kyrie hang out with Nero at Devil May Cry. Maybe Trish, Lady, and Patty could take her out for a girl's night out or something. God knows the girl could use it. Just. Something to try and show Kyrie that life outside her little cult town is actually fun and safe and worth living in, that she has other options if she wants to leave the Order. Things like that.

I'd write the same stuff for Credo, because I could see Abbie trying to get him out, too, given that he's Kyrie's older brother and all, I just don't know what age Credo is in DMC4, or how much older he was than Kyrie. So I'm not really sure what to do with him.

-Trying to figure out a way for Modius and Baul to still be alive, just because I could see Abbie trying to talk them all down from having a big fight to the death. I could also see Abbie putting a bullet in Sid's head the second she noticed Sid snooping around Dante and trying to use him for whatever weird shit Sid was doing that week. Because Abbie's not merciful as Dante. Especially if Sid threatens Nero. She's more... ruthless.

Which, y'know. Is kinda a big red flag.
