When they found you, you were all alone and crying your eyes out for your mother whom had left you once she deemed you too much to deal with.

Mikey was the first one to approach you, He held out his hands while he crouched down to your level.

He managed to sooth you out of your crying while the other three stood there wondering who could possibly leave their child alone in New York.

Once Mikey had you calmed down, you clung onto him like he was your life line. Like he genuinly couldn't get you to let go of him.

The four brothers had a quiet conversation on what they should do while you were sniffling in Mikey's arms.

Eventually Leo just said they woukd take you home and inquire with Splinter. So, they cut patrol short, and began the walk home.

Mikey talked cheerily to you the whole walk, with you listening intently while giggling every now and again.

Once they arrived back at the Lair, Donnie rushed off to alert Master Splinter of the situation. Mikey managed to set you down on the couch without much fuss, and you looked around curiously.

Donnie walked back into the room with Splinter by his side, and the old rat sighed at the sight of your small form.

He approached you slowly, standing just infront of you with the others standing slightly behind him.

You looked nervously at him, and Splinter smiled warmly at you, doing his best to put you at ease.

"Hello there little one, my name is Splinter, do you know what yours is?" he said gently, sitting across from you on the large couch.

You shook your head, "Mama called me brat!" you said, smiling at Splinter. Your voice was hoarse from your constant crying and the dehydration that came with that.

The four brothers exchanged worried looks with each other and their father, and Leo excused himself to get you a glass of water.

"Hm, how did you end up alone little one?"

You shrugged your shoulders, looking around the Lair curiously, "Mama told me she would be back later."

Leo returned and handed you the glass, "Here you go, drink this." he said as you took the glass excitedly from him.

You chugged down the water, then once you had finished, you wiggled off the couch to place the glass on the table infont of you.

Splinter placed a gentle hand on your shoulder, causing you to turn and face him, "How long have you been alone?"

You skrunched up your face while you thought, eventually you just opened your arms wide as you could, "This many!" you said.

Splinter let out a 'hm', he then picked you up and placed you back on the couch, "Stay here for a moment, young one."

He motioned for his sons to follow him, then walked them to the otherside of the room, you still in their line of sight and they began a hushed conversation.

You looked over at them, your boredom mounting. Eventually they came back over to you, Splinter crouching infront of you.

"How would you like to stay with us little one?"

You nodded happily, smiling widely.

Splinter smiled softly, turning to face his sons, "Then it is settled. I expect you boys to get them nice and settled in."

"Yes, Sensei." Leo said, while Mikey walked over and happily picked you up.

With one final smile your way, Splinter left you with your new brothers, "I'll see you all at dinner then."

Mikey beamed at you as he walked towards the kitchen, "We're gonna be best friends! We'll do finger paintings and I'll teach you how to skateboard-"

"Mikey, slow down, first we need to figure out a name for them." Leo said, taking you from his younger brother and setting you on the table.

"How about (R/N)?" Donnie suggested.

Mikey shook his head, "Nah, that's lame, let's name them (R/N)!"

"They're both stupid, I was thinkin' (Name)." Raph said, shoving his brothers out of the way to hand you a poptart.

You giggled, "(Name)! (Name), (Name) (Name)!" you bit into the sugary pastry and kicked your feet happily.

Raph smirked triumphantly, "You like that one shorty?"

You nodded, continuing to eat your delicious poptart, "I like (Name)! (Name) is good."

"Well then, (Name), welcome home." Leo said with a smile...

So that's how they found you,

The first night you were there Donnie called April and asked her to bring some toddler stuff.

She showed up with Casey in tow, both confused as hell as to why this stuff was needed.

When they saw you they were all like "Wtf?"

Leo explains the situation and April instantly warmed up to you.

Cooing sweetly at you, while you just looked at your new brothers like, "Who tf is this lady and why is she talking like that."

Casey was just kinda indifferent,

Cool, there's a kid now.

Nice.

Anyway-

So you're now the youngest.

And as the youngest they ADORE you

Mikey relishes is the fact that he is no longer the youngest,

He loves that now he gets to act like a big brother.

But he can get a little carried away sometimes...

He did indeed try to teach you how to skateboard...

Off a precariously built ramp.

Donnie literally screeched when he saw.

The purple clad terrapin snatched you off the skateboard and proceeded to scold Mikey for the next hour.

Safe to say Leo was in charge of you for the next few days to ease Donnie's nerves.

You also have unrestricted access to Donnie's lab.

You can just waddle in on your little feet with zero repercutions.

Unless you break something, depending on what it was will determine how long Donnie will scold you.

Just shoot him some puppy eyes, he'll let it go pretty quick.

Leo tries to meditate with you.

Sadly he cannot get you to sit still,

Your little toddler brain just gets so bored, you need to get up and move around.

He's tried everything short of glueing you to the ground,

You just can't sit still long enough.

Raph likes to have your company while he's excersising.

Sometimes you'll sit on his shell while he does push-ups and just babble on about the most random shit in the world.

One time, you were talking about Smurfs

And then it turned into a detailed discussion on why you hated algea.

How you got there he had no idea,

But he still finds your ability to change the subject hilarious.

(Raph accidentaly teaches you swear words, oops)

Ahem-

You hate it when the boys have to leave for patrol.

You get all fussy and start crying,

So they make a point not to leave until they're absolutely POSITIVE you are sleeping.

One time, it was Mikey's turn to put you to sleep,

He didn't really check to make sure you had actually fallen asleep before he left.

Which is why while they were out,

Leo received a call from Mikey's phone.

"Mikey why are you calling me, I'm right here."

"What?"

After realizing Mikey didn't have his phone,

Leo answered it.

"Hello?"

"Leo!"

"(Name)?? Did Mikey give you his phone?"

"No! I took it when he tawt I was seepin'! Like a ninja! Can I have cookies and milk?"

*Sigh*

You got a little bit of a lecture when they got back that night.

Leo was trying to teach you that stealing was bad,

Raph thought it was fucking hilarious that Mikey got pick pocketed by a literal toddler,

Mikey was kinda embarrassed, 'cause, well, trained ninja-

Donnie was on Leo's side.

You did not get your cookies and milk,

Well at least not from Leo.

Raph definitly brought you some as a reward for succesfully pulling off your heist.

They are all super protective of you.

When April deems it time for you to start attending school,

All four of them are nervous about it, because if something happens,

They can't be there to protect you.

Eventually they get over it enough to not hide you from the women when she comes to take you to school for the first time.

After Donnie equipt you with a panic button, and multiple, and I mean multiple trackers.

Raph even gave you a swiss army knife, (Just don't tell Leo)

All in all,

They are AMAZING big brothers,

It's chaotic, yes.

It's a bit overwhelming at times,

But no matter what,

You grow up knowing you can always count on your big brothers to be there for you.

DONNIE

He got into college, got a degree in systems engineering and works from home as a programmer for an important corporation.

Uses an IA to generate a human-Like appearance for work meetings.

He’s the one with the highest income and the most uninterested in money. Donnie supports his family a lot in that sense.

After Leo, Donnie is the one who takes good care of Master Splinter, who fortunately never falls sick, but they worry nonetheless.

Donnie spends almost all he makes on his lab, and what he’s left he invests it on their home, which means: new, much more comfortable furniture, a new security system to protect the lair, escape routes in case of needing to, he made sure each of them had a comfortable space to sleep.

RAPHAEL

When learnt how to take care of his bike when working as the night watcher, so I picture him making money as a mechanic.

When he’s not fighting crime at night, Raph tends a mechanical workshop he build in association with Casey. It’s located in an abandoned garage near the lair.

Generally, Casey makes the deals, brings the clients, and delivers the vehicles back to them once they’re done, while Raph does the mechanics and fixes everything.

The place is a nice distraction and thanks to the marvelous work they make, it’s a nice business.

MIKEY

I think he would most likely be a TikTok celebrity.

It all started with couple of videos that he published by mistake and went viral.  

He constructed his personal brand around body painting, animal-care, and skateboarding.

Mikey’s a hit, seriously like he would get nice brand colabs and receive a bunch of free stuff for him to test and provide online opinions.

Master splinter wasn’t happy about it, but given that everyone thought it was a costume, he allowed it.

Donnie was commanded with the task of making an IA human-like appearance for Mikey, tho, just to be sure.

LEO

The turtle team still exists, fewer times now than before, cause life changes and they don’t have as much time on their hands now as they did when they were younger. Yet, Leo can’t help but feel lonely at times.

Training at the dojo and glimpsing back to see the Lab’s lights on and meet the silence of the house without Mikey and Raph.

Master Splinter’s no. 1 caretaker.

I think that as all his brothers progressively grew older, Leo started to note his only purpose until now had been his brothers: standing as a leader for them, protecting them, taking care of them, and being responsible for them.

What does he truly enjoy? Leo starts to wonder.

And this is Leo's best age to discover what he's into and show a wilder side of himself. He feels complete.

He loves exploring new things!

Leo became a teacher after settling down. He teaches Japanese history and martial arts online.

Donnie helped him develop an app, and everything's going alright.

How I think that rottmnt turtles play minecraft but my headcanons are all over the place bc I can't coherently think

The only one who plays like God intended is Raph.

He makes a basic house made out of oak and probably has a wheat farm by a natural source of water.

Chests are organized pretty well.

Probably lives in a plains biome or close to spawn.

Has so many cats and each of them is named.

He was the one to have the idea of a family server and made Donnie create it.

Leo plays like how we did as kids-

I'm talking about making diamond houses in creative and fucking around with mob eggs.

He probably tried to do speedruns until he got humbled on multiple occasions, each being more stupid than the last.

Like the first time- it was a ghast in the nether and the most recent time was him falling in a ravine.

Bc of this he rarely plays unless someone asks him to log on.

I feel like he would unironically enjoy barley living in his dirt house and exploring the server.

He has a blue parrot that he named after himself. (he's not aware that parrots mimic mob noises and has been scared by that on multiple occasions.)

Donnie constantly complains about Leo’s dirt shack ruining the server's aesthetic as if he himself doesn't have multiple farms on the surface.

Redstone master over here rivaling Mumbo Jumbo.

Has a farm for everything.

Enjoys mining but hates fighting mobs in caves.

One time Leo knocked him into lava while they were mining together (Leo swears it was an accident) it was not)) and now he will not mine with him ever again.

Makes Leo pay him in diamonds whenever he asks him for something.

He doesn't even need diamonds either😭

Mikey makes the best houses.

He doesn't even use YouTube tutorials, he's just that good.

Was paid by Donnie to make his base.

I can see him making an aquarium for axolotls.

Has a pet horse with diamond armor that Leo gave him.

(Leo gave it to him after trying to explore with a horse only to try and take it across a river before giving up.)

The two of you met how most people met the turtles, by being saved. And you aren’t the type to ever be in someone’s debt. So you implored Leo to swing by your place some time to give him a gift as a thank you.

Splinter was against the idea, and thoroughly told Leo that heroes don’t take gifts, that they are just happy knowing someone appreciated their help… so Leo went to your place with intentions to refuse any and all gifts, politely.

But as he found himself jumping on top of wealthy apartment complexes, rooftops that had pools and greenhouses and other exotic, expensive add-ons, they were foreign to the rooftops he was used to in his neighborhood. Leo had a feeling your gift would be hard to refuse.

You were awaiting his arrival, and Leo was punctual. “Hello there hero, Leonardo wasn’t it? I’m so glad you came!” You were waving for him to follow you to the rooftop door, “The surprise is inside!” You smiled, unable to hide your giddiness. “Ah, actually Y/n you can just call me Leo and I only came to tell you I appreciate the gesture but don’t need a gift.”

Leo was trying his best here, but you had taken his hand and pulled him through the door. Dragging him along as he tried to explain that Master Splinter (his father) was adamant on his sons being heroes that didn’t do good deeds for gifts. The two of you were now in an elevator, and you were nodding, making sure he knew you were listening.

“That’s very admirable Leo, truly, but wait ‘til you see what I have in store for you!” You squealed, your excitement still not dulled even as Leo groaned. Re-explaining with an exasperated expression. The elevator chimed and Leo almost had a heart attack when he saw another human down the hall.

“Oh don’t worry, that’s just Richard, my butler. He knows all about you and how you saved me, he’s truly grateful.” Richard himself bowing his head to Leo and then opening the door he was guarding. With a sweep of your hand you let Leo go in first, “After you!”

A circular table, set for two, filled with delicacies from around the world entered Leo’s vision and also his snout. Just the smell alone made his mouth water as he stood there shellshocked at the feast before him. “I thought this way, we could get to know each other better, I find food brings people together!”

You made your way to one of the chairs, Richard already there to pull it out and push you in exactly how you liked it. “Sit sit sit sit!” You insisted as you saw Leo hesitate. Richard went to help with his chair too but Leo waved him off. “Y/n..” he started, looking at all the food and feeling overwhelmed. He’d never finish it all, his thoughts went to his brothers. They’d enjoy this…

“Leo just try this!” You directed, pointing with your fork at something steamy and cheesy. Reluctantly, he listened, and one bite was all it took for him to start chowing down, forgetting his early reservations. “Wowww this is amazing! It’s like when me and my brothers first discovered pizza!”

The two of you went on talking about pizza and the foods on the table. And the more Leo ate, the more he opened up, talking about his favorite shows, Space Heroes of course, and his favorite characters. You were a great listener and enjoyed his company thoroughly. By the time his stomach was full, Richard had a big bag packed with more food for him to take home. “You kept mentioning your brothers so I thought to pack them a little goodie bag!” You explained as the table was cleared and the bag was placed beside him.

“Thank you!” Out of all the things the two of you talked about, this seemed to have the happiest smile appear on his face. Which in turn made you happy. “Oh Leo, you must return! Will you? I enjoy your company dearly!!” You weren’t one to plead, but you didn’t want this to be a one and done encounter.

“Well, sure! Wanna swap numbers?” He asked, who could refute those puppy dog eyes of yours? You were squealing happily once more, sliding your phone to him as he did the same to you. “Interesting design!” You noted, turning the phone over in your hands to see it resembled a turtle shell. “My brother Donnie made it, he’s a bit of a genius.” Leo said fondly.

“Cool! Maybe one day I can meet him, and the rest of your brothers!” You said in a hopeful voice. “Oh after I give them this,” Leo raised up the bag of food, “they’ll definitely want to meet you.”

Leo came back a couple of times by himself, one day was spent in the spa, another at the rooftop pool, you showed him around the entire building. “Hey so where are all the other tenants? Shouldn’t we be a bit more careful..?” Leo said waving a hand to go up and down his figure.

“Oh no, I own the entire building,” you said nonchalantly. Now Leo had known you were pretty wealthy, but he was now seeing the bigger picture here as he did a double take. From there the hangouts got even crazier.

“Y/n.. I don’t know, breaking and entering is a crime, I’m supposed to be a hero remember?” You sighed, this was the third time he had tried to chicken out! “Leo, how else are you gonna go to an amusement park??” Before he could get out that it wasn’t necessary to go to one to begin with, you were climbing the fence.

“Y/n!!” Leo said in a harsh whisper, watching as you fell over by accident to the other side. Your pride wounded as Leo snickered at you through the fence. “Your turn ninja warrior!” Eyes narrowing at him, we couldn’t all be athletic gods!

That night had been one to remember, and Leo only allowed a couple more break in hangouts before he finally got you to stop, by inviting you over to the lair.

You came bearing gifts of course, thankfully Master Splinter was in his room meditating, and didn’t witness all his sons beam at their gifts. This time Leo was giving you the grand tour. It wasn’t your swanky skyscraper building, but it was his home and you were overjoyed to be there.

Once in his room, you brought out the last gift. In a blue baggy, and you had the cheesiest grin on your face. “I know, I know.. no presents but this will be the last one for a while.” You crossed your fingers behind your back as he rolled his eyes and took the bag. “Honestly I don’t even know why I bother saying-“

Leo had been midway throwing the present paper out of view when he stopped talking as he saw the figurine. It was his favorite character, Captain Ryan from Space Heroes, it looked to be a part of the premium collection. His mouth dropped open as he gentle pulled out the collectible. “You didn’t,” he gasped to himself, he hadn’t realized you had really paid attention to what he was saying.

Usually his brothers droned out his Space Heroes talk. “Thank you!!” Leo said happily, unable to stop himself as he pulled you into a quick hug before looking around his room. “He’s gonna need his own shelf!” Leo said, totally nerding out. “Well yeah, especially when I get you all the other characters! For holidays” you amended when you saw his face turn stern.

What can you say? You couldn’t help but spoil your new best friend, he wasn’t just your savior. He hadn’t known who you were and yet he stuck out his neck, put himself in danger, just because he was a good person. A real friend unlike some you’ve had in the past. And that’s who you wanted to surround yourself with. So you couldn’t help but feel all warm and fuzzy when you finally got him to give you a genuine smile.

DATING DONNIE HEADCANONS:

Ok so, I personally feel like Donnie would be the hardest to manage of all his brothers.

It's well known that he struggles with properly showing his emotions.

So alot of the time, it would be hard to accurately guess his feelings.

But I also feel that after you get over the speedbump of confessions,

He'd try his hardest to actually talk to you about how he's feeling.

So don't get too frustrated, he is trying his best,

It's just so new to him.

We also know that he's not big on physical contact.

So you two will probably have to start out small. (Whenever he feels comfortable with it obvi.)

You'll most likely just be holding hands here or there.

He enjoys spending time with you.

No matter how you two are spending said time,

He loves it.

And one of his favorite things ever is showing you his finished projects.

None of his brothers are able to get him out.

So they call you.

When you arrive on the scene, their worried faces ALWAYS switch to relief.

You'll walk into the Lab,

And with a little coaxing,

Alot of, "Please, Dear?" 's

And just a little bit of puppy eyes,

You always manage to get the scientist out of the Lab,

Into the kitchen for some much needed sustenence,

And eventually to bed.

Everytime this happens,

Donnie always falls asleep with his head in your lap,

and you WILL NOT MOVE until he wakes up.

He builds you things.

It's kinda like his love language.

He'll just show up at your apartment randomly, and give you something he made for you.

He made you a music box that plays your favorite song.

It was a gift he gave you a couple days after you two were official.

Overall, Donnie is definetly the brother who requires the most patience and understanding.

Leo: Fire

Explanation- Leo is driven by his ultimate goal of protecting his family. His training and dedication to his role as leader shows that. His will is strong and is ultimately what pulls him through.

Donnie: Air

Explanation- PUT THE FRUIT DOWN THIS ISN’T EVEN THE ‘BAD’ ONE. Iroh once said that air is the element of freedom, and what embodies freedom better than Donnie? He’s an inventor and he’s always the first one to fight for freedom (SAINW, the Kirby episode etc). Also he’s funny.

Raph: Earth(possibly Fire)

Explanation- I debated this one a lot because putting him as fire along side Leo would be great to look at how their personalities and goals mirror each other (both will driven) even if they think differently. But Raph is incredibly strong and that trait should be given it’s due. He’s the most emotional one anger is a secondary emotion it comes from something. I went over and over in my brain and no bending style really makes sense for Mikey. 2003 Mikey’s strength lies in his natural talent for martial arts and fighting improv (a super high level skill most people struggle with). While in Rise they pivoted to having Mikey be the most naturally talented with Ninpo that doesn’t fit 2003 Mikey’s character,

He’s fun loving but he’s perceptive able to see what Leo’s responsibilities must weigh like on his brother’s shoulders. The ability to bend would not make Mikey a better fighter. In many ways I think the reliance on it would make him worse off. And he doesn’t really fit the bill for any of the elements.

And oh my fucking god he’d probably learn chi blocking and further the practice why did it take me so long to think about that.
