OK, I have a personal headcannon that the turtles are super tall- like- raph is 10f ish, Donnie 8ft, leo a little shorter, and Mikey is at LEAST 6ft.
So the turtles interacting with the world being tall mf's and as well as their s/o (like throwing them over their shoulder or air jailing them
Bounus points is S/O is short by normal standards.
THIS IS NOT MENT TO BE SMUT. At all. I request wholesome and Mischievous content.
Well wishes: SBF🐍
[ Ankle Biter ]
Tumblr media
Future!ROTTMNT x GN!Reader who is short
A/N: i assume you meant the future turts? im so sorry if this is wrong! we're gonna assume the reader is between 5'0 - 5'3! thank you for requesting SBF!! <3
Relationship: Romantic
TW: Fluff, kisses, cuddling, slight panic (?), affectionate teasing.
Tumblr media
Future Raph
He adores your short size.
Hug? You get a bear hug regardless of how gentle he is.
Cuddling? No, weighted blanket in the form of a humanoid turtle.
Kisses? He has to bend over or pick you up to do so.
He gets a little anxious in crowds.
Being so tall means you can see everyone so, you'll be easy to spot, right?
No, not when everyone blurs together.
He once lost you at a festival and...
It was not pretty for the other turtles.
Certainly. Not pretty.
Future Leo
One word.
Air jail.
Your crimes are condemned to punishment, being held like a soggy cat for 5 minutes.
You are also an arm extension.
Something (surprisingly) too high to grab?
Fetch it for him.
If you guys are hanging out with shared friends, he ALWAYS has to sweep you of your feet.
Show-off.
That is until you start to rebel.
When you start to rebel, the only thing Leo can do is pray.
Future Donnie
Height doesn't really affect you two.
Kisses are a little harder but, Donnie is flexible.
Plus, carrying all those junkyard scraps beefed him up a little.
Along with training and fighting.
However, he doesn't hesitate to bring up your height in banter.
"I'm not sure how your opinion matters when you still aren't fully grown. Oh wait, you are."
Simply uses his robotic arms to shove you away once he gets your temper going.
Aside from that, he thinks its a convivence that you are short.
He's making something for you? Less materials used compared to his brothers.
He's also more lenient on repairs or replacements when it comes to you for the same reasons.
Future Mikey
Lets be real, if anyone is gonna tease you the most, it's Mikey.
Backtalk? On top of the fridge you go.
"Are you sure you don't need a stool to see? Just making sure."
He is so smug about it.
Growing up the shortest, it's funny to see the tables turn on someone else.
But he makes sure to never go to far, no feelings will be wounded by Dr. Feelings himself.
He really likes you on his shoulders, a simple lean and it's easy to kiss you.
Nicknames. It's always the nicknames.
With the teasing also comes the politeness.
Doors opened for you, stuff moved out the way, he can't have the ankle biter themself getting hurt!

A/N: I've spent like 2 months writing this because I was just sitting there looking at it and going "wtf do I do?" But here you are, so sorry for the wait. I actually threw out the first draft because I hated it so much... This is a little different than the prompt and I apologize, my brain couldn't do it. :/
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"My, my, my... What have we here?" Leonardo's voice was deep, soothing, and with a faint drawl that spoke of Texas. His words were slow and measured, just before he'd bring the hammer down with that thunderous attention. Leo squinted at you, narrowing his gaze before slowly walking towards you. "You look like you're on the wrong side of the law there, doll." Leo stops in front of you, hands on his hips just above his holsters. "What're you doin' on this here land, Miss?"
"Doin' what I can to survive, sheriff." You answer, continuing to stuff your pockets and bag with whatever was in reach. You seemed completely unbothered that the sheriff was standing over and watching you. "Is that a crime?"
"Well yes, it is." Leo responds cooly, his stance loose and relaxed despite you obviously committing a crime. His hands hover over his holsters, his tone becomes more intimidating. "The punishment for those crimes tends to be less uh... agreeable. And yet... I could be lenient with you." Leo's face softens as he looks down at the small, humanoid rabbit. He kneels down to get a better look. "And what exactly is in your pockets, little one? Come now, let's have a look."
You open your bag and empty your pockets. Its not like you were stealing much of anything really. Some bread and not so valuable things like knick knacks and trinkets. Nothing that's really worth anything.
"No guns?" He mutters, eyeing you up and down with a sly, teasing smirk. "That makes things so much sweeter." Leo's eyes twinkle in the sunlight as he stand up. His gaze seems to study every little crevice in your face, taking note of your expressions, trying to figure out everything about you. "You're not from these parts, are ya, darlin'? What's your pretty face doin' so far down south?"
"Got kicked outta town for not marryin' my suitor. Left with nothin'." You repond, repacking your bag and pockets. "Train only took me this far..."
"Not bein' married? Why, now that's a crime against the holy union of man and woman, darlin', 'specially out here." Leo shakes his head placing a hand on his face, feigning disgust. His other hand still rests on his holster. "Can't just leave you out here in this hot dust storm." Leo's eyes flicker up to your face and he grins widely.
"I've got nowhere to go." You say, pleading. "Please just let me go, I'll... I'll go find a place to settle down and be law abiding."
"Well, I'm afraid I can't let that happen, darlin'," Leo responds, his tone slowly becoming slightly more forceful. "The folks 'round these parts say you've done some unsavory and illegal things. I can't just let a law-breaker roam free like that." Leo seems to enjoy your pleas, leaning in more. He leans his body close to yours, whispering close to your ear. "Unless you want to do something for me..."
"And what would that be, sir?" You ask quietly, a shiver running down your spine as his breath fans over your ear. Leo grins as he leans in, his lips inches from your ear.
"You could do all sorts of things for me. It's such a shame for a pretty little thing like you to be caught for crimes you definitely didn't do. But, I'm feeling generous today, and, as the local lawman, I can definitely overlook your sins, darlin'." The corner of his lips curl into a smug grin. "All for a few private favors from you."
"You catch my drift?" He asks, his voice talking on a more predatory tone as his fingers graze down your waist and back. His hot breath caresses down the back of your neck, his eyes burning into your form before glancing back at your own. "Such a delicate, pretty thing..."
"Yes, sir. I understand." You mutter, your ears standing tall and twitching slightly.
"Good girl." He whispers as he leans in close. "And you know if you do well, maybe I could be generous and let you off of that punishment." Leo's voice comes out low and smooth, almost sultry as he leans back just enough to let his fingers stroke along the side of your face. "All you have to do is play nice, understand?"
"Yes, sir." You nod firmly, his eyes seem to study you once more. His fingers slide down and grasp your chin, gently tilting your face upwards as his other hand reaches for your waist.
"Good girl." He says, his eyes burn like hot coals as he bring your face inches from his. "And you know, when I get back to town, I have to write a report. And if I see my girl following through with our little arrangement, I'll make sure they know what a good girl you've been. If you're a good girl. Got it, darlin'?"
Who knew you'd end up here?
"Yes, sir."
"Mm... That's a good girl." Leo whisper as he closes the last few inches between you and him, pushing his lips against yours in a quick but firm kiss. He pulls back slowly before speaking. "You don't mind if I let these hands wander now, do you, darlin'?"
"No, sir." You mumble as he kisses you again, eyes fluttering closed and your hands move to cup the back of his head. Leo grins as he continues to kiss you, his body slightly tilting to get a better grip on you. HIs right hand wraps around your waist and pulls you closer as his left searches through his pocket for something. He fumbles around for a bit more before pulling out a pair of handcuffs.
"Oh, and I almost forgot. Can't be letting my pretty, lawbreaker darlin' roam free... 'specially after getting caught." He chuckles and beings to fasten your arms behind your back with the cuffs. You don't protest, letting him fit the cuffs on your wrist comfortably. "Good girl. Now, I have just the punishment in mind." He says with a smirk, wrapping an arm around your waist to pull you closer. His other hand grips your chin as he kisses your neck softly. "Maybe I could show you what being a good girl for me would get you, darlin'. If you play your cards just right, I might be feeling generous with another reward."
You let out a small whine, basically having no other option and really not in the mood to say no. You give him a small nod and tilt your head to the side to give him better access. His lips meet your neck again, travelling upwards to finally find those sweet, soft lips of yours.
"That's an obedient girl... You know, you're lucky I like good girls. I mean, you could be in big trouble if you had been a bad girl." He whispers, his hands massaging your hips, slowly sliding them upwards. Leo decides that his lips are not the only way of satisfying the desires, sliding his hand under your dress, his fingers running over that soft, silky skin. His eyes are burning with hunger, the heat of the desert finally getting to him. The heat of his breath blowing across your body, breath mingling, your lips coming together in a hungry kiss.
꒦꒷⚔️꒷꒦
Everything's a blur, but you find yourself in the sheriff's station. Leonardo laughs a little at all that nonsense before pulling your head up enough for another kiss. He holds you by the ears, he smacks his hand harder on your ass with your tail twitching with every hit. Your dress bunched up around your waist as you bend over his desk, your legs spread wide apart, offering yourself to him completely.
The desk creaks under both of you, his lips on your neck as he rocks into you, your bodies meeting with a wet slapping sound. You're open for him. Each thrust sends waves of pleasure through you, your mouth left hanging open, moans echoing throughout the room.
"Oh yeah, take that, darlin'!" He whispers, his voice thick with a low purr as he grabs on to your hips. "You're my good girl." He moves down to your ear, his lips nuzzling against it.
You moan, standing in your toes so he hits a better angle. You moan loudly as he hits that soft spot inside you. Your legs shake and you ball my fists in the part of your dress you could reach, you arms still cuffed. You feel his hand connect with your ass with a loud smack and you squeak, jolting at the sting. "Good girl," he breathes, his voice low and husky as he rocks into you harder, going a little faster. He bites on the side of your neck before whispering to you ear. "Such a good girl, darlin'.. you'll get it good.." He lets off a low hum to match the pace of his thrusts.
He brings his free hand down to your tail before giving it a light tug, laughing as you squirm and whine. "Aww, such a good, sweet thing," he sighs, his tone low and husky before biting on your neck again. "I love the way you take it so well, darlin'.. you're so good for me, such a sweet darlin'," he whispers to you, pulling you closer so he can kiss the side of your face.
He spanks you hard one final time before moving his hands over to tug on your ears, holding them tightly in his fists as he goes even harder and faster, his hips bucking aggressively to meet your thighs. "Such a good girl!" He whispers, his voice turning low and throaty as his eyes bore into yours. "Take it all, darlin'.. such a good girl!"
"C-Close, sir!" You whimper, tears falling down your cheeks. He tilts your head up to look at him, but makes sure to keep your body against the desk for him. It puts you into an uncomfortable arch.
Leonardo moans loudly, his expression turning more feral with every thrust as he rocks into you. His hips moving as forcefully as he could, he pushes harder and harder like he was trying to drive you through the desk, his free hand still holding onto your ears. Finally, his climax is about to peak and he lets out an, "Ahhhh… such a good girl, darlin'.."
At your releases, Leo lets out a groan and lets his thrusts die down a bit, pressing against your back with his chest as he slowly rocks into you. His face is buried deep into your neck, "Shhh... be a good girl.. be my good girl for me," he whispers to you, his voice low and husky. His free hand is playing with your tail, rubbing it up and down before giving it another tug for good measure and he slowly pulls out. "Such a good girl..." He murmurs, letting go of your ears and giving you a light tap on your ass.

"But I'll be there for you
As the world falls down."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ugh, I love this man and I'm a slut for hand kisses.
I had this drawing done for almost a week; I don't know exactly why I didn't post before.
It's inspired by that one scene in the movie 'Anna Karenina'. It randomly popped into my mind and I HAD to draw it with Future!Leonardo. I wanted to put a part of the lyrics of some music because why not, I thought in many, from the Beatles to Lana Del Rey to even Metallica(don't question my train of thought, I haven't taken my ADHD meds for two weeks straight) and I ended up with 'As the world falls down' by David Bowie since Leonardo loves Glam Rock.
I think it's kind of yandere-ish? I don't know 🤷🏽‍♀️
In case anyone wants to see it, my first attempt drawing it(I ended up hating it and re did it), the current drawing's Sketch, and the scene I mentioned.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I suffered too much trying to figure out the hands.
Also have a sketch I did randomly in the same day.
Tumblr media
Bye, I think I will change how I draw the turtles' head once again 👍🏽

PEEPAW LEO AS AN ADOPTIVE FATHER
....................................
Let me start this off by saying that this man-
This man is best dad.
He finds a lost child?
'Tis his child now.
You are his child now.
Casey?
He's ecstatic.
NEW SIBLING LES GO
Especially since you're younger than him,
(Not by much, maybe afew months)
Casey makes it his life mission to protect you at all costs.
His favorite thing to do is hold your hand and lead you around.
Leo is so so good at being a dad.
I mean look as CJ,
He's got this ok?
Feeling clingy?
He'll hold you until you want him to put you down.
Nightmares?
That's ok kiddo, come curl up next to Papa, he'll keep all those monsters away.
When you get older, you are not going anywhere without him, Casey, or anyone else.
It's not safe, and the same rule applies to CJ.
So you guys go on lots of scouting missions together.
You two may as well be twins, you never go anywhere without the other.
Sometimes, you and Casey will be sent to scout really last minute,
And Leo won't be notified until you two are gone.
Whenever this happens he gets super pissed off and worried because those are his kids,
He should be the one to give them clearence to leave,
Not some random officer who decided to send you two out.
If one of you ever comes back hurt,
God speed to whomever sent the two of you out.
Leo is mad.
Like, mad-mad.
So are April, Mikey, and Donnie.
Leo would literally fall apart if he lost you or Casey.
He swore to Cass that he'd protect Casey, and he promised himself he would keep you safe.
If he lost either of you he just might completely fall apart.
Leo's busy, he's running a resistance afterall,
So he can't keep eyes on you all the time.
That's why the Hamato's take turns.
Leo's in a meeting?
Let's meditate with Master Michelangelo.
Oh he's busy too?
Time to visit Uncle Tello's lab.
Can't find him?
Well where's Commander O'neil?
Can't find her either?
Welp, enjoy the meeting, cause you're stuck there now.
Play rock paper scissors or somethin idk.
If you're around before Splinter passes, he spends alot of time around you.
He's always wanted grandchildren, and he's going to cherish you,
Especially with the world in anarchy.
When you start losing people, it get's hard.
First it was Grandpa Splints,
Then it was Uncle Tello,
Then Auntie April...
Through it all Leo made sure you were ok.
You're just a kid, and you have to grow up in this hellscape?
You've never seen the blue sky, or normal rain,
And everyone you hold close is being ripped away.
That's not fair.
So he does everything he can to make sure you grow up safe and happy.
One of his favorite things to do was tell you and Casey stories of what the world used to be like.
Your favorite is when he describes the stars.
It sounds so amazingly beautiful, shimming lights like glitter sitting up in a blackish blue abyss.
Wow...
After the events of the movie, (you knew it was coming goddammit)
Your first request is to see the stars.
Which is pretty hard since New York is really bright like all the time.
So they took you and Casey to the docks where you would be able to see them best.
You looked up at the sky in absolute awe,
Papa's words would never do the stars justice.
After a minute, you broke down in tears.
It hurt, he promised to be the one to point out the constellations and his younger self doing it just wasn't the same.
Griefing is going to be a really big thing post movie.
In the future, you never really had the chance.
Everything happened so quickly and anytime wasted on griefing could have been a death sentence.
But now, you don't have to watch every corner, you don't have to wake up in fear you'll be alone.
So you grief.
You grief your family, and Casey does too.
Sure, technically they're right outside your room.
But it's not them.
They didn't raise you.
When Leo sends you and Casey back in time,
You took it much worse than Casey, who was focused on completeing the mission.
Sure, you wanted to stop the Kraang too,
But you missed your dad...
So when you find your family's past selves,
And Leo is being so...
Reckless,
You're angry.
Really angry.
Never in your life had your father acted this way, and Casey needlessly boosting his ego 30 seconds into knowing him wasn't helping.
Through out the movie, Casey needs to remind himself that this Leo isn't your Leo.
You have absolutely no trouble with that.
You come across as cold and angry, which worries your brother since you've never been like this before.
The others just assume you're always that way.
But you're not,
And acting like this makes you hate yourself.
You're grappling with the loss of your dad, and the fact that you might fail to do what you were sent here to in the first place.
Casey pulls you aside and gives you a talk.
He understands that your hurting,
He is too,
But this isn't about the two of you.
This is about saving the world and stopping the Kraang.
After that, you can hurt all you want.
That talk ended with you sobbing into Casey's shoulder, practically collapsing to the ground while you clinged to him and begged him not to leave you too.
Aight imma hit ya with the sandwich technique.
Fluff, angst, fluff.
Boom.
When you were a kid,
You had a habit of collecting anything shiny.
Old coins, jewelry, even just shiny rocks.
If it glimmered, you wanted it.
So whenever Leo had to leave the base, he always came back with something shiny for you to add to your hoarde.
He liked to compare you to a crow, and you asked what a crow was.
Right, raised in the apocolypse.
Sure there were plenty of birds around,
But they weren't.... normal.
So Leo explained what a crow was, and that they liked to collect shiny things.
You understood, but you wanted to know what one looked like,
So you went to Uncle Tello and asked if he could show you what a crow looks like.
He showed you, and immediatly you took to the comparison proudly.
You were like a crow!
Mikey liked to put on little shows for you and all the other children that lived in the base.
Making animals and such out of his ninpo.
Your favorite were the birds, the rabbits too.
But the best was the butterflies, which he also used to help you and Casey fall asleep.
They'd flutter around you room kinda like a nightlight.
I also like to imagine that when you and Casey start scouting, you get in trouble for fucking around.
Mostly making stupid bets for your shiny things.
Casey would collect shiny things just to make these bets.
Usually it was simple stuff, like who can throw a rock the farthest,
But even stuff like that could get both of you killed.
Neither of you really listened until one day,
You're making your bet like usual,
And the building you were scouting out wasn't as empty as you thought.
The two of you nearly fell to your deaths, luckily Casey managed to grapple the two of you to safety.
But after that, you had a major fear of heights, and Leo didn't let the two of you out of his sight for a while.
He made sure to scold the two of you when you returned that day,
Before hugging you and telling you how scared he was for a second.
Leo has no problem with you and Casey being included in meetings,
Honestly he prefers it.
If you two are gonna go running around scouting, you should know what's going on.
You'll have the occasional adult who thinks you and Casey are incompitent because of your age,
And that you shouldn't participate in meetings.
But Leo puts that to rest pretty quickly.
"If they can go out, and risk their lives on missions, they can attend the meetings." He'd say.
Leo loves you with his heart and soul.
If anything happened to you, he'd fall apart.
Sometimes he just needs you to have little sleepovers with him, that way he knows you're safe and sound.
He just wants to protect you.
You're his kid,
And he loves you
....................................
I wrote this while listening to anarchy by egg, and damn that song fits.
This one is LONG that's my bad, I got alittle carried away :^

Your body aches. Blood coats your armor and the floor beneath you.
Not yours.
Your head is bowed, hands folded and eyes shut tight. The only sound is your own breathing and the cracking of the altar's candles.
Then there is cacophony of stomping and shouts and the beating of hooves on the ground. You bring your head down further, pressing it into the cool marble floor beneath you.
The sanctuary doors fly open and you can hear the clinking of metal armor and the echoes of orders being barked.
You remain in your position.
Your ungloved hands meet the familiar hilt of your blade. The grooves of where your fingers used to grasp it so desperately. You don't grab the blade, leaving it to rest before your god's likeness.
You blink your eyes open as the footsteps grow closer, looking up to the statue of your grace.
A massive marble structure of an impossibly beautiful mutant. His head is tilted downwards, looking down his snout with a smirk. His eyes are striking even after all these years the statue has endured.
The red is a familiar shade.
You squeeze your eye shut and bow your head again. The doors to the room slam open and your head the approaching footsteps.
A rope is lowered and then tightened around your neck. The man behinds you presses his knee against your spine and hisses in your ear.
"I didn't think it'd be this easy, you know."
You keep your eyes shut and don't respond to him. He growls, tugging the rope tighter. Your head begins to swim and then everything is black.
-
The surface beneath you shifts in a steady motion, you hear the sound of hood falls and huffing. Your fingers curl into the creatures mane as you begin to come to. You slowly begin to regain use your limbs and senses.
Then something touches your waist. Your very much unarmored waist.
You blink your eyes open quickly, eyeing the three fingered hands. The thumb is curled into the loops of the sash on your waist.
You furrow your brows.
It has been years since you'd worn robes, especially nice, silken ones like these.
You try to turn, but something stops you. That something then breathes a breath of hot air onto your neck and nuzzles close to your ears.
"Eyes forward, beauty."
The voice is gruff but with an almost playful edge to it.
You're then made suddenly aware of the force digging into your back and how it isn't your own plates of armor. Your body stiffens on instinct.
The hand on your waist then shifts between your shoulder blades.
"Uh uh. None of that. Relax, sweetheart."
You look down, opting to observe your surroundings. You're sat stop a large horse, the same color of char. It trudges dutifully through the shallow waters that surround you. Colorful fish dance around the legs of the steed.
The being behind you switches their hand to your shoulder.
"You're still rather tense, darling. Just relax."
The voice is almost hypnotic and part of you wants to comply. The other part of you is Fae smarter than that. You jerk your body away from him. The movement doesn't seem to bother the horse.
"Stop that."
The hand wraps around your throat but doesn't squeeze. It still hurts though, there must be a bruise there.
"Perhaps you need a long nap, dearest, you still haven't slept off all that...resistance."
There's a slight pressure against your head that almost feels vaguely like a kiss, then the world fades to black once more.

Peepaw date (rottmnt future!Leo x reader)
we interrupt our scheduled event programming for a quick piece inspired by this drawing of future!leo by @donathan !! i found this prompt “standing still as your lover rubs smudged lipstick/lipstick stains off of your skin, catching them off guard by pressing a kiss against their fingertip” and my brain wouldn’t leave me alone until i wrote this so!! enjoy :’D
summary: date night with future!Leo where you both have a lil too much wine
relationship: Rise future!Leo x GN reader
warnings: reader is wearing lipstick, mention of alcohol, innuendos?, i’m gonna say 15+ just in case
word count: ~950
(english is not my first language. constructive criticism and grammar corrections are very appreciated!)
– – –
You shake your head, laughing at Leo’s corny joke. As your chuckles subside, you take another sip of the wine, your eyes never leaving his.
He’s always been handsome, obviously, but right now, with his flushed face and soft gaze, he looks downright irresistible. The glasses, suspenders, and those shirt buttons holding on for dear life are certainly not helping.
The waitress approaches your table, bringing the dessert you ordered earlier. It’s a parfait meant to be shared. According to the menu it was for two people, but this is way bigger than you imagined.
“Need some help?” Leo asks with a smirk, snatching one of the spoons. “Your eyes were bigger than your stomach again, huh?”
You playfully roll your eyes at him. You were stuffed after the meal, and he knew that, but you weren’t gonna go down without at least trying.
“There is always room for dessert” you retort, scooping up a spoonful of the whipped cream at the top of the tall cup, picking up a strawberry slice as well. “Humans have a second stomach just for dessert, you know. It’s science.”
“No, they don’t” he’s quick to answer, but for a second his eyes narrow at you, questioning your statement even if only a little bit, before shaking his head with a chuckle. You almost had him; even after all these years together, you’d still try to tease him with made-up facts about humans (and turtles alike). It was rare, but sometimes you succeeded in convincing him. Until Donnie intervened, that is.

Once you’re done with dessert and your drinks are empty, you stand up from your chair, only to realise your legs are wobblier than you’d like. For a moment the room spins around you, and you glare at your wine glass. Maybe you drank a bit more than you should have.
You look up at Leo, and notice that he’s not much better off than you. You giggle at his heavy blush, and when he looks at you, you can’t tell if what you see is the turtle drunk on alcohol or on love. It’s probably a little bit of both, and the thought makes your chest swell with warmth.
After paying, you hook your arm under Leo’s and you walk out of the restaurant. When did it get so late? The sun had long set, and now your path is only illuminated by the street lights and a full moon. You inhale deeply as a fresh breeze hits you, carrying the smell of a cool summer night.
“How about a little walk to sober up before we head back?” Leo suggests, and you agree.
You walk a couple of blocks in comfortable silence until you reach the river and start walking along the railing. Every so often there’s a streetlamp, their glow mixing with the night city lights, reflecting and flickering on the water surface, making your surroundings look almost magical.
Your gaze gets lost in the dark water for a moment, until you’re suddenly pushed closer to it. You squeak in surprise, almost tripping over your own feet, as Leo guides you towards the railing, turns you around and pins you with your back against it.
Amused but also confused, you shoot a look up at him and are met with his signature smirk, but there’s also something else in his eyes as he towers over you. One of his hands holds onto the metal bar behind you, the other reaches up to cup your cheek, and you can feel a new wave of heat spreading on your neck and face, not from the wine this time. Unable to keep his intense gaze, you shyly look away to the side, your own hands creeping up on his chest until you intertwine your fingers behind his neck. All these years, and he still makes you feel like a flustered teen.
“Been wanting to do this all night” Leo whispers as he leans in, capturing your lips in a kiss. You happily reciprocate, tilting your head for a better angle. After lazily making out for a moment, you leave his mouth to trail kisses down his jawline, neck, and then go back to his lips. He swallows your sighs and little moans as things start getting more heated, when he grinds his hip into yours with a low grunt.
That’s when you push him back, both of you slightly out of breath, and he whines that you stopped.
“Leo, you’re drunk” you chuckle and hold his cheek. He leans into your touch. “We both are. Let’s get home and we can pick up where we left off in the morning. How’s that sound?”
Leo grumbles something unintelligible, but you take it as an agreement. He doesn’t move though, and neither do you. Your eyes travel over his handsome face one last time, and when you reach his lips you can’t help but laugh at his state: your lipstick was smeared all over his mouth, chin and neck.
“Hold on a second” you say and try to rub it off to the best of your abilities. You make a mental note to check for a reflective surface somewhere to clean yourself as well, since you probably don’t look much different than him right now. As you’re trying to get a particularly noticeable smudge off his jaw, Leo reaches up to grab your wrist and places a quick kiss to the palm of your hand, his eyes soft and loving. The gesture catches you off-guard, and your cheeks are ablaze again.
“Leave it” he says, properly taking your hand in his as he pulls you away from the railing and starts walking home. “Let everyone see I’m yours.”

Dawn of a New Day
(f!Leo x reader)
Next Part >>
Chapter I: The Dawn Arises
Everyone describes dying as one of two things a sense of tranquil peace or seeing a brilliant light at the end of the tunnel. As a teenager, Leonardo thought he was immortal. Life was simply a game to him where he was the protagonist and everyone else was inconsequential in comparison. He was the hero archetype, nothing bad could ever happen to him, he and his family had plot armor so they’d always be okay.
Then the apocalypse started throwing his entire life and worldview into a spiral.
But there was hope, a little fraction of light in the desolate world where death was unavoidable. There was a babe, a baby that was thrust into his arms to cherish and to care for. He remembers the day vividly, Cassandra had pushed the boy so hard into his hands that it caused the mutant to stumble backward. He barely heard the ‘take care of him for me Leon’ before she rushed into the building to save the innocents inside…Cass didn’t make it back that night and neither did those she had attempted to rescue. Leo had glanced down at the young boy in his arms, he was so small in comparison to his looming frame. So fragile, and when he stared into the baby’s eyes he saw himself truly for the first time in years and he let out a trembling breath. The baby smiled reaching up and pressing little hands against the yellow markings on his chin, unafraid and trusting of someone who didn’t deserve it.
Casey Junior was his purpose.
Then the Krang came for them, his dad and his brothers died and everything was all Leo’s fault. If he didn’t try to play the hero all those years ago none of them would be in this position, his brothers would be alive and Casey would be heading off to college by now.
Seeing his last and youngest brother die in the last-ditch effort to save humanity didn’t hurt as much as it should’ve. Leo knew it was coming, Mikey knew it was coming and both agreed that losing Raphael and Donatello seared a scar into their hearts so deep nothing could repair them. Perhaps it was because he was still young then and still believed himself to be a hero that could fix everything he caused so losing them broke him beyond repair. But now with Michelangelo’s sacrifice a new hero could emerge from the ashes and fix everything he couldn’t.
Casey.
“Find the key. Stop the Krang,” Those were the last words he spoke to his son before shoving him through the portal.
He heard the Krang before he saw them, there was a blinding light then he felt nothing. He was stuck in a black void where Leo floated feeling nothing but numbness, his eyes adjusted as little orange lights illuminated the space around him. The heavy metal that plagued his arm was gone leaving nothing but the stump behind, Leo breathed a sigh of relief, the burden of his dead brother lifting off his shoulders. He reached out with his one good hand letting the ball of light gently flutter against his skin, it was beautiful. Leonardo felt cold air brush against the skin on his face, looking up he was greeted by an orange portal, similar to the one his youngest brother had made just moments before for Casey.
“Mikey…?”
The lights tickled his cheeks all in one go and Leo let out a broken sob, the lights then disappeared before forming underneath his back urging him through the portal. Inside he could make out the streets of New York, prosperous and bustling, so unlike the scattered landscape, he left behind.
“No, no, just let me go with you.” His voice broke pleading with the spirit of his brother, “I just want to be with you all. Raph, Mike, Donnie. Please I’m so tired.” Leo’s eyes squeezed closed as the spirits moved him forward, so close that he could smell the air of the familiar city he once called home. One orange light brushed against his cheek softly before shoving him rather unceremoniously into the portal, Leo made a sound of distress looking over his shoulder only to see the outlines of his entire family. Purple, Red, and Orange all smiling tenderly at his retreating figure and Leo wanted to cry. He watched as a smile appeared on his twin brother’s face Donatello spun his bō staff once before flipping Leo off in a way that said, ‘see you soon.’ Leo found himself wetly laughing as they disappeared left to tumble into a forgotten alleyway in the middle of New York. He groaned as his sensitive shell hit the pavement the blinding light of the yellow sun stung his eyes, and clear air filled his dust-covered lungs for the first time in years. He sat up slowly clutching the spot his arm once was, desperately trying to remember the streets of New York, something he used to know like the back of his hand. He had to relearn everything, relearn where the lair was, relearn non-apocalyptic customs, and relearn how to function with only one arm. As Leonardo’s senses began to fully return to him he was able to pick up on the sound of footsteps rushing to the ally, they were light, most likely female his hand twitched at his side stopping his instincts screaming to grab hold of his katana.
She was young, younger than him by a few years at least, late twenties if that. Soft, healthy features, and a nice red in the apples of her cheeks. It startled him for he was mostly used to seeing the effects of starvation on the bodies of humans he’d come across.
God he hoped Casey was eating well. Shit, he needed to find Casey. Fuck he needed to know the year?!
“Is he alright?” He blinked looking down, only to see a young Yokai clutching tightly to her legs. He had horns peaking out of the top of his head. Messy red hair curled around his ears like a halo a little devil tail curling around the human's leg. His eyes were a blazing yellow, and Leonardo’s tongue felt heavy wondering if this frail-looking Yokai had made it in the apocalypse.
“What year is it?”
The woman spoke up, “2023.”
Leo’s entire body froze, three years after the apocalypse should’ve started. Casey did it, fuck he stopped The Krang. He felt the familiar sting of the beginning of tears in his eyes, Leo choked leaning back and seeing the woman appear in front of his vision up close and personal. Her brow was furrowed worry lines seeping into her youthful skin, “Are you alright?” The tenderness of her voice threw him for a loop he wasn’t prepared for. He swallowed,
“Fine.” He cleared his throat, trying to get the raw feeling out of his throat. “I’m fine darling don’t worry about me,” He gave a lazy grin trying to mask any weariness he was feeling but it seemed the woman wasn’t buying it. He heard her mutter something under her breath that he couldn’t quite catch, which caused Leo’s defenses to rise. He watched her every movement as her eyes took in his form, especially staring at his missing arm, Leo felt like she was analyzing him and he didn’t love the feeling.
“Do you have a place to go?” She asked suddenly brushing a strand of hair behind her ear, Leo automatically wanted to say yes, that his brothers were waiting for him, but until he could remember where exactly the lair was located he was stuck. He pressed his tongue to the back of his teeth shaking his head slightly, “Alright then.” A small smile spread across her lips, Leo couldn’t afford to think it was cute but the thought entered unwillingly. “Alastor go tell Nana to make up another room,”
Alastor, the demon Yokai, nodded turning from the ally to run back into the tall building to his left. She moved to help Leo onto his feet and he reluctantly leaned against her, “Can I ask your name?” He gave a sly grin.
“(Y/n),” She introduced, as Leo tested the name on his lips.
“You seem very calm for someone seeing a mutant turtle that’s over six feet tall,” Leo commented, he hoped the underlying suspicion in his voice wasn’t obvious.
“If you can’t already tell I kind of work with Yokai.” She snorted, “Plus turtles saved the city a little over a few years ago. Nothing is that shocking to me anymore.”
“You know them? The turtles?”
“I feel like I should be asking you that.” She shot back with a grin, he felt his cheeks heat up as he cleared his throat.
“I know ‘em a little bit…” Leo grumbled as she opened the front door for him, “Woah…” He breathed standing in the parlor of the complex. The inside reminded him only slightly of Big Mama’s hotel but it felt much more homely. Alastor ran back up to you and wrapped his arms around your legs,
“Nana said she’ll be right down, she’s fixing up the room.”
“Thanks, kid,” Leo answered with a nod of his head, the young boy's eyes lit up excitedly at the praise.
“You’re welcome!” He chirped happily before turning his attention back to you, “Can we continue to play now?”
“I gotta help Leo settle in with Nana.” she explained settling down on her knees with a smile, “why don’t you see if the other kids wanna play?” He huffed but nodded before once more scampering off.
“So, what should I expect with this ‘Nana’ lady?”
“She’s a Rabbit Yokai,” She hummed softly “And the owner of these apartments. She’ll explain more when you meet her,” (Y/n) looked at him with a twinkle in her eyes
“You talking ‘bout me sugar?” Leo’s eyes widened in surprise seeing the older yokai in front of him, “I’m assuming you’re the turtle Al was talking ‘bout?”
“Yes ma’am.” Leo nodded standing a little straighter and bowing in her direction, “Leonardo.”
“Oh enough about that,” She waved her hand dismissively her chubby cheeks stretching her smile out wider. Nana reached out and took his hand within her paws squeezing it slightly, her brown fur tickled his skin but the warmth of a parental-like touch made him wilt. “I’m Nana, you can stay here as long as you need. Come let's talk over tea, do you like tea?” Leo nodded he worriedly looked over his shoulder at you and she laughed. “(Y/n) will be there when you get back loverboy.”
Leo sputtered shaking his head rapidly in response, his love life is long since dead. He had a few flings here and there before the apocalypse and even some during, against his better judgment. He wasn’t picky when it came to lovers he just doesn’t know if he could ever emotionally handle a serious relationship again. He still doesn’t feel safe even if the apocalypse was avoided in the universe, he just needed to talk to Casey.
“I’m just teasing you.” Nana snickered a spring in her step as she motioned for Leonardo to sit down on a plush, pink chair in front of the table.
“What is this place?” He asked softly, watching carefully as Nana poured tea letting the leaves seep into the cup.
“A home for wayward Yokai.” Nana spoke carefully stirring her tea with a spoon slowly, “Mostly kids and single parents but anyone who needs a home is welcome here.” She hummed as Leo furrowed his brows, “since the Krang invasion-” Leo stilled eyes wide pupils shrinking slightly, if Nana noticed she didn’t comment, “Yokai and mutants alike have been integrated more into New York life.” She explained looking over at him with a knowing look, Leo eyed back sipping his tea slowly. “However not everyone is as accepting as (Y/n).” She let out a soft sigh, cheeks puffing out in frustration, “Many of us haven’t been accepted into society for one reason or another. Humans are…frustrating creatures, (Y/n) likes to give them the benefit of the doubt but I’m not so sure.” Nana spoke, “Having a human working here is a blessing and a curse in many aspects. The positive is it allows some Yokai who have been burned badly to realize that not every human is going to treat them unkindly. The kids are quick to trust and love her to death but the negative is there are some who are jaded beyond repair and tend to make her life here miserable. She puts a lot on herself like she’s blaming all of humanity's faults on her, putting it all on her own shoulders.” Nana rubbed her chin watching as Leo tilted his head to the side. Leo’s heart ached in a similar familiarity, it seemed he wasn’t the only one who felt like they carried the weight of the world on their shoulders. “Yet she stays, she wants to make a difference so I can’t fault her for that, are you done?” Leo paused looking down at his empty tea cup leaves stained the sides and he could finally see the little symbols in the bottom of the cup.
“You gonna give me a reading Nana?” He mused a charming smile appearing on his lips, she gave a little laugh,
“If you let me Leonardo Hamato.” He froze at the name almost dropping the cup in his hand, his jaw set suddenly, the air growing tense, “Come on now how stupid to you make this old lady.” She laughed with her entire chest, her ears bouncing as she did so. “I’d recognize that bandana anywhere. Your younger self sometimes visits with one of your brothers, I was a psychic in the Hidden City. Had my own business with my babies, humans don’t take too kindly to learning new knowledge or magic.”
“My brothers volunteer here? Which- it’s Mikey isn’t it.” He laughed wetly rubbing the top of his head,
“Makes the best lasagna in New York. Kids love him, and you, especially Alastor. I’m surprised he didn’t recognize you, then again you’ve grown fast.”
“I’m also verging forty.” He snorted, “and I look it.”
“Hardly we don’t age the same as humans.” Nana mused, “how old do you think I am?”
“I feel like this is a trap, Nana.”
“Sly dog you catch on fast.”
“What can I say? I’m known for my quick wit and my mouth.”
“Careful Leo there are kids around.”
He flustered, his entire face turning red, “That’s not what I meant and you know it!” Nana laughed softly reaching across the table to take the teacup from his hand. “If it’s bad I don’t wanna know FYI, I’ve had too much of that to last a lifetime.”
“Believe me I know.” She spoke without looking at him, her paws moving the cup around slowly with a hum. Her eyes lit up mischievously, and he raised a brow bone,
“Ough boy…”
“The tea cup reveals good fortune for you Leonardo. I see a lover, I see the letter- perhaps their name begins with it the love is new but not fleeting– it’s not far distant but perhaps more present than you’re prepared for. But there seem to be difficulties closing in upon you in the near future.” She frowned a little and Leo grumbled under his breath, “I see a rather large owl. An omen that something is coming on the horizon, a conflict between others or a conflict within yourself I can’t pinpoint. It’s clear you’ve come from a place where kindness and love were fleeting, a luxury you can’t afford. I see a star and a moon colliding, you will find someone who you can hold onto. You will find a family.” His throat felt tight before he cleared it,
“Well, I guess we’ll just have to play it by ear huh Nana?”
“Guess we will.” She stood up walking to her small kitchenette, she opened a drawer and grabbed a small bronze key. She placed it in Leo’s hands closing his fingers around it, “You have a home here. Always.” He looked down at the old key and froze, the tag on the key was engraved with his name on it in golden font. “The stars never lie, not to this old bunny.”
“Thanks, Nana I’ll keep that in mind.”
“If you need anything at all contact me or (Y/n). Our numbers will be given with your move-in packet. It’s in your room, should still be clean.”
“Thank you…for everything.” He squeezed his key tight letting out a shaky breath before swallowing thickly. “Can I have one question?”
“Of course.” Nana hummed, “you can have as many as you like.”
“Does (Y/n) know?”
“I haven’t told her. But she knows Leo, he’s close with her, it’s not going to take a genius to figure out you’re the same person.” Nana pointed out, “You aged like fine wine.”
“Nana please.” He said an exasperated flush on his face,
“You did!” She chirped pressing her fuzzy paws into his face, “let me get (Y/n) to walk you to your room would that be alright?”
“That’d be fine-”
“Just remember if you’re gonna date her you gotta ask my permission first.”
“Nana.” Leo yelped, “I’m not in the position-”
“Goodness are you always this easy to fluster? Guess I’ve never tried with the younger you.” She mused with a sly wink, and Leo just wanted to shrivel up and die on the spot. When did he get to the point in his life where an older woman would deem it okay to flirt with him? Ah. Right.
When he aged into his late thirties unknowingly during the apocalypse, that’s when.
Nana walked past Leo opening the door, “(Y/n)!” She shouted, “Show Leo to his room yes?”
“Yes, Nana!” She responded back quickly climbing up the steps, Leo frowned noticing a mark on her shoulders that wasn’t there when he met her earlier. “Follow me you’re on the same floor as I am. Roomies,” she chirped motioning for him to follow.
“You alright?” He asked grabbing onto her wrist with his hand, “Someone hurt you?”
“Huh? Oh?” He watched the woman fluster under his gaze, using her free hand to cover the mark against her skin. “Got into trouble with a fire Yokai no worries it’s all worked out,” He didn’t love the way you brushed off his concern so swiftly.
“Need me to kill ‘em for you?”
“What?” You let out a breathless laugh, eyes lighting up in mischievous delight, “If anyone’s gonna kill the guy it’s gonna be me you hear? He’ll get what’s coming to him don’t you worry.” You winked and a chill went down Leo’s spine his heart fluttering uncomfortably in his chest, “Come on it’s just this way.” You slipped out of his grip and continued down the corridor with a hum. He couldn’t help but eye the way your hips moved when you walked, and the way your ass curved tantalizingly in your tight jeans.
Shit, he should not be looking at her like that…but what she doesn’t know won’t kill her.
“Isso não vai acabar bem…” He mumbled into the sky saying a silent prayer to a god he didn’t believe in before continuing to follow your pace. “So…” He trailed off slowly, “What’re you living here for? You don’t have a family looking for you?”
“Nana’s my family.” You smiled up at him, and he realized how big he actually was in comparison to you. He basically towered over you, he was probably a little bigger than Raph was currently for comparison. “Plus, family isn’t just by blood. It’s who you chose to let into it,” He noticed you fiddle with a golden locket on your neck, “Like you n’ your brothers. It is you isn’t it Leonardo?”
“Ah…you caught me.”
“Weren’t exactly subtle.” You mused arms crossing over your chest, it took everything in his power not to stare at the way you unconsciously squeezed your chest together. God he hasn’t felt a pair in ages- ah you were still talking- shit pay attention Leonardo, “but something tells me you’re not the Leo I know. Am I right?”
“No…”
The words ‘I’m the one who failed’ was on the tip of his tongue but he swallowed them, now wasn’t the time to voice that thought.
Turn it off. Bury it down. Don’t think.
“No, I’ve fought and killed my way to be here. Lost so many things, not just the arm.” He mused motioning to the missing appendage, “Still can perform well without it trust me.” You raised an amused eyebrow as he flushed red, “Porro- not what I meant-”
“I know ‘Nardo.” You laughed, “God you’re such an old man.” He wilted a little at that giving you a dirty look, “Oh come on you are.” You nudged him lightly, “The older you are the more experience you have.”
“Now who’s the dirty-minded one.”
He took way too much pleasure in watching you turn red up to the tips of your ears. “Not funny!”
“It definitely is querida.” He shot back ruffling your hair, remaining mindful of the key that was still in his hand. If you knew what querida meant you didn’t mention it instead opting to shoo his hand away and fix the mess he made of your hair.
“Open the door dork, Nana’s been preparing for you for a while.” Leo blinked turning the key over a few times in his hand before sliding it into the lock. He turned it, a satisfying click echoed through the highway, and he opened the door. Inside was a king-sized bed with fuzzy cobalt sheets and about five pillows on the bed. Plus a small plush bee sat on one of the pillows in the middle he heard you let out a distressed sound from beside him. He raised a brow bone turning to face you and you were even redder than before, it was the cutest thing Leo has ever seen. “Fuck, ass, shit-” You sputtered hands flapping in front of yourself, not in the happy stimming Donnie way, but in a frantic Mikey way. “I told Nana you didn’t need a stuffed toy, god it’s so dumb, it’s for the kids usually to make things cozier.” He watched you fumble heart melting at your concern, “It’s a special one I was saving for this room- god this is so embarrassing!”
“Nah. Not embarrassing,” Leo reassured hanging the key up on the hook by the door. He placed his hand on your shoulder giving it a squeeze, “I love it you picked the bee out?”
“I did yeah…” She spoke quietly, shyly,
“Love it. It’s perfect, reminds me of how Raphael always slept with his toys from TBT.” He snickered beelining (hah good one Leo) to the bed to pick up the plush. It looked hand crocheted, it was light blue with dark blue strips and little purple wings. “Hm…this looks handmade-”
“Fine, I made it!” You squeaked in admittance, “For this room specifically Nana always said it was special. It’s the ugliest thing ever please just toss it!”
“Oh absolutely not. I’m gonna keep this forever now I know the truth. I’m naming him LJ, Leo junior.” He cooed wiggling it in front of your face as you covered your red cheeks shyly, Leo’s heart fluttered in delight.
“You won’t ever let me live this down will you?”
“Absolutely not.” He nodded in agreement, a sly grin appearing on his face, “What else is in here that you made for little old me huh?”
“Nothing just the bee,” She murmured softly walking to once more stand beside him, “Nana made sure you had your own bathroom and kitchenette if you needed it. We provide food for the young ones, but we found the adults usually like to make their own food.” Leo wasn’t about to tell you he can’t cook for shit without Mikey even at his age so he just nodded in response. “There are laundry units in the basement so you can wash your clothes and towels down there, we provided you with some clothes until you can get settled.” You began to list other amenities off with your fingers, Leo couldn’t help but zone out. Exhaustion hit him like a truck and it seemed you could read his body language well, probably tells from past him. “I’ll let you rest, you’ve had a long day.”
“I’ve had a long life kid.”
“I’m twenty-eight, hardly a kid.” You teased a light smile on your face,
Good GOD. He was going to hell.
“There are pajamas in the bottom drawer for you. If you need anything else let me know alright? Do you have a phone?”
“Er no…”
“We’ll make sure you get one, for now, here.” She handed him a small green button and held up her hand. On it was a silver bracelet with a dim green crystal in the center, Leo could sense the mystic energy intertwined within the gem. “If you press that it’ll alert me that you need something, and I’ll come running.” He nodded sleepily placing a hand on the top of your head,
“I will. Thank you, I haven’t slept in a bed like this in years.” He said more to himself than to you as he threw himself down on the bed, snuggling into the sheets. A rough, broken sound unwillingly spilled from his mouth he was too tired to process that the sound he made was his new version of a chur. A sound that he hasn’t made in years, one of warmth, safety, and comfort.
“You’re welcome. Sleep well, Leonardo.” He barely heard your well wishes as you flicked the light off and shut the door allowing the man to sleep comfortably for the first time in years.

A Secret Santa gift for Pip!
Merry Christmas, Pip! I'm sorry to say I don't know you well, but I hope you enjoy!
Also stolen away from @morning-sun-brah mwahaha!
Leon always got strange around fire.
Something you would have thought easily avoidable in the city, holidays brought on the cozy imagery in ways you never expected.
You’d catch him often.
Staring at yule logs set on static televisions, slowing down as he passed shop displays with chimneys, or even the wafting flames of a candlelit vigil, Leon would take on that same far away look amongst them all.
If you had known Donnie was going to build an entire bonfire, you might have protested.
Instead, the softshell had ushered the Hamatos to what by all accounts should have been a spooky alley. Turning a wretched glowing corner, he announced his surprise in the form of an utter transformation of the space. Rotting brick done up by Mikey into a scenic forest, lights honeyed the rusted fire escapes and paved the path to the enormous wooden structure already aflame.
The others ran off. There was a refreshment table. There were reindeer games. There was a pyromaniac’s dream that needed tending to.
Then there was Leon.
Bathed in firelight, he’d stood in the crux that hid away this alley.
Amber lapped at his winter coat and his eyes took on that haunted look.
Unlike Scrooge, Leon didn’t need three specters to haunt him.
He’d had his share and more and you moved with him as he approached the flames.
The others tapered off into Hamato white noise and seemed none the wiser as the older slider stopped short of where the heat became nearly unbearable.
Scorching your cheeks, you watched him where he watched dancing light.
It licked at his stripes and cast his lowered lids with something distant.
A hollowed past, the husk of him had been partially filled in the years since.
There were the younger versions of his family.
There was a world that hadn’t been destroyed.
There was you.
It was never enough.
There was no way for him to be truly healed.
How could he?
What he had helped.
Family helped.
Community helped.
You helped.
He’d whispered it to you hundreds of times by now. He was keen on small surprises. He liked catching you off guard. You could be doing the dishes and he’d appear behind you. With a hand to your waist for a sudsy dance, he’d dip you to whisper about the hope you instilled in him.
He was the preacher of such a thing.
Junior was a testament to that.
The intangible concept kept Leon going with a smile on his face amongst any adversity.
It was his gospel and he knew every hymn.
A caroler so infectious no one could turn him away.
Yet here he stood, unseen as he stared at some far away point where he was usually as unstoppable as a concept.
The words came off your lips before you could stop them.
“Where do the flames take you?”
It waxed poetic which was unlike you, but it was the only way you could think to put it.
He might have teased you, asked about being a modern-day Dickinson, but instead you tapped the time traveler. Caught between two points, he spoke for the present from the past.
“These numbskulls’ll know the time Donnie tried to build a fireplace.”
A smile spread under a shaded gaze.
“We were…” Leon sighed loudly, giving into a closed eye body movement that said age had taken the sharpness off his memories. “Tots, musta been. Learned the whole shebang about Santa and had been fed a line or two about how he snuck in, ninja-style, and left behind our gifts.”
You stepped close, afraid to displace his form.
“We were chomping at the whole Christmas bit. Been there, done that trying to catch the intruder and now we were onto something else.” Leon’s hands itched in his coat pockets.
Beyond the bonfire, Leo and Donnie squabbled over something.
“’Santa doesn’t use manhole covers! He uses chimneys!’” Leon did an impression you couldn’t place.
Splinter laughed loud while April told him to say it and not spray it.
Leon chuckled. “Tots coming up with harebrained ideas. So, we have the mystery man using the wrong entrance. Must mean we’re getting the short end of the present stick because the layout’s all wrong.”
A garland fell and a glowing Raph rose up to fix it.
Leon hummed with another faded thought. “I think it was Mikey who came up with the line. ‘We get a chimney and Santa’ll bring the good stuff!’ No more cast-off gifts for us. We weren’t that dumb. We noticed our gifts weren’t shiny and new like the kids on TV.” He quieted. “TV…”
He since slept with screens on to make up for the years he’d missed rewatching his favorite films.
He had to shake himself out of the stupor. “So, Donnie devises the thing. We collect cardboard for an entire year. We construct the Leaning Tower of Piza and we all drew our stockings on with the care like the song says.”
Casey popped a Christmas Cracker and deemed herself ruler of Yule.
“It was all fine and dandy, but we shoulda known. Mikey hadn’t exactly been quiet about the fire bit. He kept saying, ‘it’s gotta be a real fire or it’s not real!’ We figured he was the youngest, what was he gonna do?” Leon’s teeth appeared as he sounded an error bell from a game show. “Firebug nabbed some matches, knocked out first, woke up when we were out, and snuck around all of us to light the dang thing. Cardboard!” Leon shook his head, his pupils a steady moth to a flame. “Went up like the Library of Alexandria. Poof. One second there and the next gone. Dad was furious. We almost torched the whole lair.”
Mikey asked someone to dare him through a stuffed face.
“Before that though, we got our coal. You know you think fire burns from the bottom, but that’s not true. It’s alive and it wants to escape. It rushes up a structure to get away, but falls like bad wallpaper. It’s alive and it’s fighting. For it’s very life, it just wants to consume. It’s starving, hungry. It does what it has to. It scrounges around and it holds its loved ones close. It makes do with what its got. It creates a new home, a new lair. It rations when food gets low, turning into those glowing embers to conserve. You gotta respect that drive. It’s needs. It wants. It wasn’t its fault that one well timed explosion clipped an old capped off gas line. That in seconds it devastated the colony. That we had to leave. All that hard work. The screams. The burn. It all burns. Us. Krang. It’s another living thing to burn out. Conquered like the rest of us.” His gaze lowered and his sclera reflected ages. “I went back after we lost CPC. Later, to the rubble. You know it was still going? Smoldering little bits were still smoking. Weeks later. Still hanging on. To keep the resistance going. To live again. To keep it up.”
“Leon.” You were clutching his arm before you realized it.
It wasn’t enough to summon him from the fire. “You know the funny thing about ash?”
He needed prompting. “What?”
“I never thought it was from the stuff burned. Don woulda said it was something about laws of the universe and how matter can’t be destroyed, but I never quite agreed with that part.” His head tipped the scales of thought. “I always thought it marked the flames. That’s where the fire was. It was saying, ‘I’m here! I did this! I was alive!’ Leaving it’s mark, long after it’s gone.”
“Like you.” You tugged.
“Me?”
With that your time traveler returned. He always did, in one way or another. You considered it fate. That he’d always return to you.
With levity, he turned to you with a glint in his eye that burned. “And what’s my mark exactly?”
“Here.” You touched his stripes.
“Close, I woulda said it was the one I need to hit for the camera to get my good side.” His smarmy grin shined as he tucked his chin into the webbing between his thumb and finger.
“Uh huh, you’re a certified star.” You looked away long enough to roll your eyes.
“That’s fire, you know.” It was just enough time for him to scoop you up. “Again, close, but I’ll save that one for you.”
“Me?” You settled into his grasp.
“Yeah, I’ll be the tinder and you be the flame since you light up my life.” His brow ridge wagged.
You groaned loudly and protested his mocking smooches. “If anything I’ve got a burning desire to go!”
“’Why did the bonfire leave early!?’” Leon shouted. “You scald me! It was right there! Where’s the lead up!? The craft!? You don’t open with a punch line!”
“Here I am getting roasted instead!” You spoke out of the corner of your mouth, but peeked at him.
Bowled over, you watched Leon field swaths of emotions before he settled on the brightest one and a searing kiss.
💙
Here's the Emily Dickinson poem that inspired me:
Ashes denote that Fire was —
Revere the Grayest Pile
For the Departed Creature's sake
That hovered there awhile —
Fire exists the first in light
And then consolidates
Only the Chemist can disclose
Into what Carbonates.

Can i request dating HC with future leo and female reader who's in her 30s? (Human female reader) It's would be funny if the kids were teasing the older leo saying " GET A ROOM! " or singing the " under the tree " song.
When I'm Old and Blue

f!Leo x fem!reader
Warnings: fluff, annoying children, kissing/making out, swearing, f!Leo is going by Leon, slight talk of marriage, tiny bit angsty
A/N: I know you said hc, but I decided to do a fic instead. I uh... I have expanded farther on this fic than originally intended... (ew... who would want to kiss a 7'4", 40 y/o turtle man?? me)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Leon had set up a night in, at the lair. Just the 2 of you. He'd managed to convince the younger turtles and Splinter to go out, have fun in the Hidden City. You 2 were cuddled on the couch, watching a shitty romcom. It was his guilty pleasure after the apocalypse. He enjoyed making fun of the plots and acting.
Unfortunately what you 2 didn't know was that Splinter left, but the boys didn't. They were watching you guys on Donnie's security cameras, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Leon's stump arm was resting behind you on the back of the couch, your head against his shoulder.
"Why exactly are we doing this again?" Raph whispers. "They wanted a nice, quiet night in..."
"Oh come on, this is fun!" Leo answers, nudging his brother. "Leon and Y/N will look back on this and laugh."
"I highly doubt that..." Raph huffs.
Leon leaned over, kissing you softly. His hand resting on the back of your neck. You deepened the kiss slightly, Leon's hand falling to your waist, yours going around his neck. You crawl into his lap, not breaking the kiss, but you feel him smile as you situate yourself.
"Leon and Y/N sitting in a tree..." You both pull away, confused. Leo's voice echoed around you, but you couldn't tell where it was coming from.
"K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Mikey's voice follows. Leon huffs, frown pulling his face down.
"Fucking kids..." He groans, burring his face in your chest. You held back a laugh at his irritation.
"Ignore them." You hummed. He chuckles, diving back into the kiss. It was more passionate than before. You laugh against his lips, pulling him closer. Leon happily followed, leaning forward, his hand on the small of your back. He made his way down your neck, making sure to leave marks.
"Get a room!" Leo yells. You grabbed a pillow and threw it in the direction of Leo's voice, since Leon's only hand was busy keeping you from falling. You assume you hit him because he squealed.
"Let's go back to your place." Leon pants, standing up. You were always amazed at his strength, holding you with one arm like you weighed nothing. You held on desperately as he made his way topside, to your house.
꒦꒷⚔️꒷꒦
Leo was a constant distraction when you and Leon were together. Constantly making disgusted noises when you 2 kissed or Leon did something romantic. He'd even cover Mikey's eyes if he was there when you 2 kissed.
You tried your best to ignore him, but it was so hard. You kissed Leon before you went home, Leo made sure to sound like he was throwing up. Dancing together while making dinner, Leo would yell to get a room. It was infuriating.
"You sure you don't want to just move in with me?" You joke.
"Yeah... And have everyone confused about this whole situation?" Leon smiles, waving his hand over his face. "Could you imagine? Especially what your family would think."
"And here I thought you were going to propose soon." You huff, sarcastically. He chuckles softly, kissing your temple.
"I would, if I was human." He admits. "But I'm not, you are. Honestly... I don't know why you're still here. You could have a normal relationship."
"Normal?" You snort. "Where's the fun in that?"

Beneath The LeyLines
A ROTTMNT AU
●●●○○○○•••
Set within a future timeline set 5 years from the main canon of the series. The Turtles are now older and are active as ever. Everything seemed to be okay. Nothing was out of place. Your lives seeming to have been moving on from the past incidents of your youth.
At least... thats what they thought.
During a routine patrol , a discovery was found , [ REDACTED ] . and that's when it all began to spiral out of control . . .
•••••••••■
Kind of an ominous teaser depiction of the story but it sets the tone... ideally this is taking alot of research as well as brainstorming to come up with so bare with me on this one 😅.
So basically BTLL's storyline has that time travel set up with it being a freak accident that sends the reader through a rip in thier main timeline sending them 15 years within the future. But something doesn't sit right with them. The dystopian abandoned surroundings feels also indicate a war had taken place. The reader having to try and find out what happened after disappearing within the timeline. Also stumbling across future versions of thier companions. This story will definitely revolve around alot of angst and comfort with bits of cosmic horror and tropes.
This is a big project for me so let's hope I can get all of this done ( by myself too lol )
Oh also it will be kind of a poly!Turtles story. Since they are future versions I wanna have some love dynamics too. ( mostly leo & donnie with y/n tbh. But easily Raph & Mikey get into the mix sort of )
I do eventually wanna get art and designs for the future variants of the turltes but sadly I can't draw like at all 😭

FUTURE RISE!LEO X READER
∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆
Heyyyy-oooo it's me your guys favorite friendly pervy neighborhood consumer! Back with some more fics!
Yeaahh
Oh yeah I can totally sense your guys' excitement.
So this idea wasn't mine. I was lurking through the ROTTMNT fandom since recently I was too busy being dragged down the Record of Ragnarok fandom pit. It's like Hetalia all over again.
Anyways— I was lurking and came across one of my favorite creators ( @yanteetle ) that got a request for a fic. And like the idea was too good not to write a one-shot for it.
Like there was already a fic for it out there but, I thought I'd try my hand.
I really enjoyed writing this, I'll probably do another part except with the second idea with young Leo being little brother blocked by Casey Jr. cause Casey knows how Leo is with his future relationship with (y/n).
And maybe another one that has a different take on the first idea. But with a ✨ Age Gap✨. Cause man do I love myself a DILF.
Like brah there is no way you can't tell me future Leo isn't a DILF.
Anyways—
Enjoy the fic!

PICTURE NOT MINE! FOUND IT ON PINTEREST AND FELT LIKE IT WAS PERFECT-O
∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆
Rushing water flooded the ancient channels that you were trudging through. The bottoms of your cargo pants were drenched despite being tucked into the openings of your pleather boots. Frigid rosey digits clung to the insides of the pockets to your cobalt colored coat. A shiver shot down your spine. Not from the chill of the down pour above you but rather, the ghost that didn't seem to want to leave you alone. Even now you were quite sure. Somewhere amongst the ruins of New York's sewer system, he was lurking. Never too far behind but, still too close for comfort.
You've been here for two years and five months in a few days according to the calendar that hung in your shared quarters. However you weren't planning on staying for the anniversary.
A brown satchel that hung from your shoulders carried all that you had for the perceived future until you could wrangle up some more scraps of rations from orphaned establishments on the road.
You weren't going back to the base. You refuse.
Onwards you marched. According to the directions Casey had given you it was just a little further until you reached a small opening that you would need to crawl through to get to the connecting manhole that would lead you straight out of the safe haven of the sewers and into the fry-pan of NYC city boundries. The teen even went as far as described an outpost just a couple miles Northwest towards New Jersey. Having scrambliled together a poorly drawn map of the terrain to gift you on your journey.
You and Casey both knew of the dangers there were trying to escape this place. Mutant or not. Though it didn't mean it was going to stop them from at least trying to free you from your gilded cage.
You had thanked the boy who had felt like a kid brother during your encampment at the base. Both shedding a tear for one another as you departed ways. Wishing the other luck as the world slowly continues to crumble around them. Unsure of the others fate.
The flashback helped to revitalize your will, spurring the need to flee as your pace began to pick up. Heart beat and foot falls mirroring another.
You didn't know how much longer you had before he caught up with you....
Speaking of the Devil.
A random splash not too far off sent you rocketing forward. Feet pounded through the stream of water lapping at your ankles. Unrelenting like the hunter that was behind you.
You didn't even want to look back. You feared if you did your knees would buckle at the very sight of his domineering form lunging for you.
Tokyo Drifting the corner, you spun to the left, a skirt of water splashing your legs once again, in further indirect efforts of creating a swimming pool in your boots.
He was fucking with you. You could tell.
If Leo was really being serious he would've captured you in his hold the moment he originally found you. Most likely had woken up due to the lack of your warm presence next to him in the cot you shared.
If you knew the red eared slider, which you felt at this point you did.
You knew he had been on your tail since the minute you left. Stepping foot outside the main body of the base.
°°°°°°°°°°°
"(Y/n)....? Honey...." Leo groaned half awake. It was the middle of the night and his body had suddenly woken him from the bliss of his dreams.
Tired olive hands searched the sheets for your figure...only to find the lack of it.
Dark eyes flew open.
You. Weren't. Here.
Out of the bed he sprung, eyes stabbed through the dark. Only to find the lack of you and your belongings that had been here when the two of you had gone to bed.
His mind flew into chaos at the realization however, unlike his adolescent self he was able to control his panic. He calmed his ragging breath remembering his father's sage advice to not let his feelings get the better of him. That it was unbecoming for a ninja and a leader.
Honestly Leo should've seen it coming.
He wasn't any genuis-boy Donnie by any means but, didn't mean Leo was a fool.
He had saw the signs for a while now.
Eagerly you'd volunteer for any job if it meant being at odd schedules with him. It didn't matter if it was patrol or scavenging, if it got you away from him, even for a little while, you did it.
When approached about it, you simply claimed that you wanted to be useful for The Resistance. Reassuring Leo that your desire for work came from your feelings of being needed rather than the lumbering turtle's overbearing presence being the cause behind your disappearing acts.
Leo being ever so observant would notice how your close comrades and Casey Jr. would also actively participate in these same runs with you.
Everytime.
Tigers gnawed at his stomach lining and baboons pounded in his chest when he thought about what they could be discussing. What they could be doing.
In the beginning you and Leo had been soooo close.
Since teenagers. He had known you even before you knew him.
He had saved you.
Him.
He was seventeen and feeling free. The Krrang hadn't attacked yet, he still had his arm, and Ralph wasn't dead.
You had been just another girl he came upon on a nightly patrol.
Beforehand he and Raph had gotten into another disagreement. Something stupid about him not being a team player and not listening to his comrades.
Whatever. Leo didn't care.
Leo was his own one-man show— he liked to believe. Although when the going got tough, he knew he had his brothers to fall back on. They relied on one another even if they didn't like to admit it all the time. They were children after all.
Squeaky sneakers and labored breaths filled the illuminated basketball court. Within the fenced primiters was a single girl shooting hoops. And not too badly for the self-proclaimed professional's standards if he did say so himself.
She kept herself grounded but, still agile. Launching the basketball from all the points lines, even the ones that have long since been faded by eroding weather and age. (h/l) (h/c) hair pulled back into a high poney tail that whipped around with her movements.
She was like a basketball ballerina dancing a Lebron James Swan Lake. It was ethereal.
Time passed like rain droplets down car windows. Before he knew it the similarly aged female was packing up getting ready to go. Obvious signs being the (2f/c)towel around her neck and the (f/c) sports jacket she threw on over her fitted tank top.
Alas Leo didn't have the right mojo to go pursue her. Nor the right disguise.
For the next few weeks(at least how long he felt it had been emotionally. He wasn't keeping track.) Leo would return to that same basketball court, eager to see the basketball ballerina again.
Sometimes she was there, sometimes not. When she was it typically was late, at least for human standards. And always alone. Leo felt for her but, didn't particularly mind since that meant there was no one to disturb the skilled performance.
The (y/c) haired girl would show up. Shoot some hoops for a while before walking away into the night.
Her (e/c) eyes always looked absent when she shot her baskets. Emotions didn't voice themselves on her neutral complexion. The only real thing that was direct about her was that she was focused with the task at hand. Which was shooting hoops.
Leo wasn't a hundred percent sure what led her to the rundown court almost every night but, he was grateful for the occurrence.
Until one night he wasn't.
Like the last few nights, the red eared slider teen came to the court to spectate his favorite four pointer dancer. Only to find a lack of her usual performance. Instead sat the empty eroding court.
It was two in the morning and his brothers would start wondering where he is soon.(Not that they weren't already curious where their blue bandana brother was going.) A light sprinkle had started to pick up overhead that pushed the olive turtle to call it night.
Standing up from the ledge the turtle was about to leap from his position but, only froze upon hearing laughter. Down below underneath the iridescent fluorescent lamps was you.
The obvious lack of your usual athletic attire suggested you weren't here to play basketball. Instead of a tank top with a pair of shorts; dark jeans hugged your hips complimented by a (2f/c) Lou Jitsu t-shirt and (f/c) sport jacket.
With said jacket you shielded yourself from the drizzle. The lighting made you look like you were glowing, the uncharacteristic smile on your face added to the image.
What broke the breath-taking view was by whom he assumed were your friends. The two of them ran after you into the court with their own grins plastered on their complexions.
The scene of the trio caused the red eared slider's stomach to bumble with jealousy. He wanted to be down there with you. The sound of your guys' conjoined laughter would make together would simply be the best. Leo didn't have a doubt about it.
If only.
For the next two hours the three humans ran through the city streets. Asphalt turned into water slides as they slid and skid. None of them aware of the mutant turtle following them from the rooftops.
By four, the other two humans who he learned names were Jonathan and Melissa(I know so unique) departed for the night.
(Y/n), as he overheard from your comrades, left to go your own way home.
Leo knew he shouldn't continue being out this late by himself. Especially without telling his brothers where. But, Leo couldn't pass up the chance to see where you lived.
By the time you got back to your apartment complex it was pushing five in the morning. Leo could make out from his spot hidden in the fire escape that you were an only child.
Apparent by the lack of anything in the unit. The only things that pointed towards any form of life were the pictures that hung on the plain beige walls.
Inside the cramped dingy apartment you procured yourself some top ramen before sitting on the old futon in the main room to watch some TV. Switching to a channel that played older movies.
Zapped onto the screen was an old Lou Jitsu film. The sight of the movie excited the red eared slider, hopeful thoughts of having similar interests made the monkey in his rib cage pound harder.
Before Leo knew it you were passed out with the remote in hand with the sun peeking out over the Manhattan bay.
Giving one last look towards you before retreating back into the sewers.
The following weeks passed by and Leo grew to like you more. Even if it's from a distance. Always excited when you appear whether it's on the court or in his dreams.
His heart was always so elated when he watched you perform. And the one time he's late of course some dumb delinquents want to mess up his usual date.
Upon arrival he could tell something was wrong right away. Your (f/c) bag sat on alone on the bench left halfway unzipped and abandoned. The ball you brought with you every time you came to the court was flattened and punctured.
Something was very wrong.
"Back off Creeps!"
It was your voice.
Leo not giving a moment's thought to the possibility of being seen by the public eye. Leapt from his perch down to the court.
Hidden off in the alleyway was you and a pair of petty thieves. One a mutant rooster the other just a normal ass-hat both dressed in stereotypical black attire.
"Shadap! If you'd just given us yer stupid wallet and phone from the start then we would've been gone already!" The rooster barked. His beak set in a displeased frown that matched his human accomplice's equally displeased sner.
Both were armed.
The human with a baseball bat, and the rooster with a small pocket knife.
Observing the scene, Leo quickly determined this would be a rather easy take down as long as he did it right.
"Stop the stallin' and give us yer cash!"
The rooster's feathers acting like fingers reached out for you. Instantly the rooster's right wing received a sudden shave.
"WTF!?" The avian mutant screeched using his left wing to clutch his clipped one to his chest.
Quick to defend from the unforeseen attack the human whipped around to swing his bat; .... only to find an empty space.
"What in the name of..."
"Aaghkk!" Straight in the face you had punched the rooster.
Leo swore his chest grew warmer at the action.
While Leo was temporarily distracted by your fists of fury, the ass-hat had swung at the olive-green turtle. Quickly the red eared slider dodged the attack to only return with his own. Easily slicing the bat into small unusable chunks.
Whilst Leo dealt with the ass-hat you fought the retaliating mutant chicken.
It was a somewhat fair fight considering the difference in DNA and physical capabilities.
You would've won too, had you not underestimated how strong a mutant chicken's punches were.
Next thing you knew you were K.O.ed. Your (H/c) head in a tizzy from bouncing your brain around in your cranium.
The blue bandana wearing turtle was not pleased by this.
The rooster gulped at the obvious displeasure emanating off the red eared slider. Not even having a chance to escape Leo swiftly knocked the chicken out before tying him up with his accomplice.
"Oh (Y/n).... I'm sorry I was late for the performance.." Leo apologized under his tired breath. Adoration gleamed in dark pools as he stared down at the object that plauged his dreams for last month.
Even with three digits per hand the sturdy turtle held you against his plastron securely as he returned you to your apartment.
The cold air whipped around the two of you as he sprinted across rooftops of Manhattan.
He was the happiest turtle alive having you in his arms. He never wanted to let you go.
But he did.
And how Leo missed you so dearly for the years that followed.
Not until he was pushing forty did he find you again.
New recruits weren't too much of an uncommon occurrence. However as leader it was his job to familiarize himself with his team to the best of his ability.
And when it came time to welcome in the greenhorns, there you were.
Despite the years that have added on your complexion you were still that beautiful basketball ballerina he found all those years ago.
His heart swelled.
Leo did his best to protect you better this time.
Even if, it meant keeping you here with him against your wishes.
Very quickly it was known amongst The Resistance how much you meant to the Commander.
Within six months he had you transferred under his supervision despite your skills aligning with General April's or even General Donnie's precincts.
It didn't matter.
Leo wanted you. And that was that.
There was no room to argue when it came to the leader's order.
Within the year, you were sharing quarters with the adult red eared slider and in the following months, his cot.
The few freedoms you found away from Leo were doing patrols or hanging with deceased General Cassandra's son.
Even then the interactions were limited.
It's hard to say no when the world around you is dying and you have no other choice in survival.
Which brings us back to the current present.
Racing like a bat out of hell you fleed your pursuer who was hot on your trail.
The basketball bunny runing from the hunter with a shell.
Oh God please! Please let me make this!
It was right in front of you.
Approximately two turns up ahead laid a small tunnel. It was a tight squeeze even for your stature but, if you could crawl far enough into there before Leo reached you. You'd make it.
You threw yourself into the stone wall. The rough texture scraped your palms but you didn't care. You kept running.
"(Y/n) please come back!" Leo hollered.
His voice was not far behind. He had to be literally on your tail.
This would be a miracle if you made this.
"(Y/n) wait! You can't leave!" Anger could be heard in his deep voice. The same tone he used when displeased with your behavior when socializing amongst your fellow comrades.
There it was!
Right there!
Not even thinking about it—
You dove for the small tunnel. Knees instantly bowed to the floor as you began crawling into the opening. The hole was disgusting but, you didn't mind that as you shuffled your body forwards.
" NO! " Leo growled.
A yelp escaped your throat. Clawing hands clasping around your ankle before attempting pull you back. Despite scraping at the edges of the rusted entrance. All it took was a single tug from the adult red eared slider to dragged you out of the small hideaway. Sadness and anger quick to take over his desperate senses.
"Why!? Why did you try to leave me!?" The mutant demanded.
You didn't know what to do. You were frozen. He caught you. You didn't plan for this. You hadn't really thought—
You really had hoped—
"(Y/n)! Answer me!"
"Is everything I do for you and your kind not enough? Why can't I have you?" Leo cried.
His aged but charming features stared you down with so much hurt. He loves you so much. Too much. So why would you go?
"I've always been there for you (Y/n)... my basketball ballerina...don't I...deserve you?" Leo reasoned. His voice displayed the hurt he felt as he reasoned with you.
Well more like manipulated.
"I love you so much.... I just can't lose you again."
Muscular arms pressed you against his plastron. Underneath it you could hear the bird fluttering in his ribs.
Your mind was running a mile a minute, terrified, flustered, unsure what comes next.
" I love you (y/n)...". Was the last thing your brain registered before feeling a pinch to the bundle of nerves in your neck. Falling limp like a ragdoll in the Commander's arms.
Releasing a sigh the tired adult red eared slider held you in the one-sided embrace for just a little longer. Relishing in the warmth from your body that wasn't accompanied by the small trembles from you.
The hug didn't last long before the mutant readjusted his hold on you so that you laid in his arms. Leo didn't mind doing this every once in awhile when the anniversary of your arrival came up. As long as you don't do it again for another year.
He would have to disperse that support group of yours....
Once back in the safe confinements of Resistance HQ; Leo made a B-line to your guys shared room. There he stripped you of your drenched coat and boots before tucking you back into the shared bed. In your spot next to him.
The blue bandana wearing turtle let out a tired yawn as he closed the door before crawling inside the sheets to lay besides you.
Leo was aware he was being selfish but, he just couldn't live without you. Not again. And certainly not in this cruel world that just wants to take away everything he holds dear.
Dark pools stared down at your resting face. His prosthetic hand lovingly caressed the soft skin of your face. Soothing both you and himself in the process.
Slipping away into the land of rest. Even while dreaming the Resistance Commander held on dearly to you.
Not allowing you the same chance to escape his embrace twice.

A gift. An offering for my wonderful @zeepziesdiary . I gift you Papa Leo content.

WHEN I'M GONE
◇~~◇~~◇~~◇~~◇
Summary: One of the only ways you can hear your Papa is through old files. Thank gosh Uncle Tello records everything.
Warnings: Slight angst, not much but it's there. Grief. Don't worry though, there's comfort!!
Requested: An offering to my beloved (/p)
GN Reader!
....................................
You pulled back the curtain that would seperate your side of the room from CJ's, it was late, and you didn't want to wake him.
With a moments hesitation, you pulled your mask over your head, the device making a familiar chime as it powered on.
Using your guantlet, you selected the file you wanted to listen too, and closed your eyes as your papa's voice washed over you.
"How the hell does this thing work Donnie."
"Wait, it's on? Fffuuuu- I mean- frick."
You smiled as Papa cleared his throat, and continued.
"Hey there, birdy, if you're listening to this I guess that means you miss me."
"But, hey, I know you and Casey are fine. Because you have eachother."
"And where ever I am, I miss you too, so much."
"If you're listening to this 'cause- well, ya know."
"Then just know, I am so, so proud of you, birdy. You made it! Yay, confettii and streamers..! Youuu probably don't know what those are..."
Papa chuckled, and you giggled, you'd learned what those were yesterday from Mikey.
"Listen, my little gremlin, I gotta go now, Uncle Tello is being a bit of a diva- what do you mean you heard that? You're all the way over there!"
The sounds of banter and a low thump could be heard, then Papa shouted, "Love you, (Name)! Bubbye!!"
The recording ended, and you went to click on the next one, when you felt someone tap your shoulder.
You sat up and pulled up your mask, relaxing when you saw it was Donnie.
"Hey." you whispered, "What... are you doing here? What's up?"
"I made something for you." He whispered back, and you looked at him confused.
"Just follow me." He said, pulling you up from your bed.
Reluctantly, you allowed him to pull you along behind him. He led you into his lab, where he dropped your arm, rushing over to his desk.
He snatched up a small chip, then held out his hand, "May I see your mask?"
You hesitated for a moment then, removed the tech and handed it to Donnie. You watched as he inserted the chip into your mask, you were certainly curious.
He handed it back to you eagerly, and you took it, confused, "What does that do?"
"It upgraded your systems, now when you play an audio file, you have the option to project that same file through your mask. Kinda like virtual reality." He explained, clearly proud of himself.
"So, you mean like..." You trailed off, and clutched the mask tighter, "I can... see.. the recordings?"
Donnie nodded and you took in a shaky breath, "Thank you. I... don't know what to say, I-"
"Go test it." Donnie said, waving his hands towards the door, "Come let me know how well it works whenever you're ready."
You nodded, a small smile on your face as you speed walked out of the lab and into the main room of the Lair.
You debated returning to your and CJ's room to test it, but decided against it. Instead, you sat in a secluded corner of the room. After one last deep breath, you slid your mask over your face and selected a file.
Your mask made a ding ding! sound, and you clicked on the play button that appeared infront of you.
You gasped as Uncle Tello's lab appeared infront of you, it was exactly the way you remembered it. Down to the small, clear bowl filled with rocks on his desk.
Sitting in the chair infront of the monitors was Papa, who was talking to someone off to the side and out of frame. You turned your head in the direction Papa was speaking, and there stood Uncle Tello, back facing the camera as he worked on a small machine.
Papa turned back to the camera with a grin and you smiled back. Instinctively, you reached out for him, your hand stopping where he would be.
Your shoulders tightened and your hand dropped pathetically to your side as Papa started to speak.
"Man. I've been making alot of these huh? Can't tell if that's a bad thing."
"You better be taking care of yourself my little star child. I'm sure you are, because you're a good kid."
"It's... weird, knowing that if you're watching this, I'm not there to watch over you."
Papa smiled, leaning back in the ratty swivel chair that ususally rested at Uncle Tello's desk.
Slow tears started flowing down your face, most getting caught on your bittersweet smile before falling down your chin.
"I wish I could make these longer, birdy, but sadly, they gotta be short and sweet."
"Just know I am so so proud of you, yeah? Just take care of yourself for me. When I'm gone."
With a small wave, Papa leaned forward, and the recording ended with a soft click. Papa faded away. You pushed your mask up your face, a sob building in your throat.
This was the first time you'd actually seen him since...
Since...
Casey.
You needed Casey. Really really bad.
You stood quickly, speedwalking to your shared room. You'd tell Donnie about how well the chip thingy worked later. 'Cause boy did it work.
You hesitated for a moment when you reached Casey, but you knew that if you chose to just leave him be, and comfort yourself, he'd be more annoyed than if you woke him up.
So, you gently shook him awake, "Casey?" you muttered.
Casey blinked his eyes open tiredly, but that sleepinesz dissapeared the second he saw the tears running down your face, "What? What happened? Are you okay?" he asked quickly, sitting up.
You sniffled, shaking your head, "Nothing's wrong. Just-" your voice cracked, and Casey didn't wait a second longer to pull you into a tight hug.
"Thank you." you whispered, clinging to his shoulders tightly.
"Anytime, (Name). Anytime." he said, giving you a reassuring squeeze.
You spent a good part of the day with Casey, seeing your Papa for the first time since... well it threw you through a loop of confusing emotions.
On the one hand it brought you a comfort. One of your biggest fears up until now was that, eventually, you'd forget what Papa looked like. That no matter how hard you tried to remember you would never again invision his smile.
But, on the other hand, it was a shock. To see him so close, but not be able to reach him. It hurt. You knew that wouldn't last forever, the same feeling of hurt filled you when you first dicovered the audio files.
But now they simply brought you a comfort you'd been missing since you saved the world. This new tech would do the same.
And goodness knows you'll need that comfort.
Now that he's gone.
....................................
It's bittersweet, but this scenario has been running around in my head for SO LONG-
I based it off your little headcanons you sent me about Donnie's gifts to reader (I still have yet to answer that one, I'm getting there I swear-)
I just really needed to write this out or I probably would have lost my sanity-

yeah, no im okay. here's this :3
A figure limped across the war torn field, stepping over people they had fought beside not too long ago. They clutched their side, staggering forward. They could hear the approaching hoofbeats of others, people who would cut them down the moment they arrived.
Death was never a fear of theirs but it was no friend.
Their sweaty palms clutching the kilt of their blade, stained red that they wished was rust. Their heart pounded, the cold wind stung their wounds and eyes and set in their bones as an ache.
Then they heard it, him, calling to his troops.
The last person they wanted to see if this was their last moments, yet he was the only name they could think of, so they called as loud as they could.
“G- General Hamato...! Leonardo..! Leo! Please…please…”
They felt their knees give out beneath them as they spent the rest of their energy screaming the name of the man. Their head tilted up, praying to whatever deity would listen that their death was a quick one.The hoofbeats grew nearer and nearer still, they could hear the clinking of armor and the scraping of blades.
They squeezed their eyes shut tight, waiting for death.
But nothing.
The horse had stopped, they could hear it so close. They peeked their eyes open slowly, meeting the gaze of one General Hamato.
Despite themselves, their eyes softened and the tears became relieved ones.
"You came..", they breathe, staring up at their rival. He offers his hand, tilting his head as he looks down at them. "Of course I did." He scoops them up in his arms, ignoring the blood on their clothes and hands.
"You called.”
