💚 After being captured by The Joker, you were terrified. Anyone in your position would be, even if you were, apparently, the object of the clown's affection. You were under the watchful eyes of both The Joker's lackeys and the Clown Prince of Crime himself, and the thought of angering them was horrific. So you tried to keep your mouth shut. Most of the time, the pain was somewhat bearable, but being restrained in such a manner made it agonizing.

💜 You can't hold it together. Who could? Your muscles screamed in pain. Your head pounded and throbbed. Your whole body was alight in agony. Your body heaved as you began to quietly sob. What else could you do but cry? Maybe you'd at least be able to cry yourself to sleep to escape the pain judt for a moment - but a sudden explosion of noise makes you wince and flinch, migraine pounding in your skull. The Clown quickly took notice of your tears and read his goons the riot act. Who did it? Who hurt his darling? Was it him? What about him? Nobody answered, though. He muttered something about cowardice before kneeling in front of you, cupping your face in his gloved hands, asking in a soft voice what was wrong. Disoriented and tired, you told him.

💚 You assumed this aspect of you would make him turn on you. Maybe, hopefully, see you as not worth keeping and send you off if you're really lucky. But if anything, this made The Joker more protective of you. None of his men were allowed to touch you. He didn't trust them not to make anything worse. Only he could help you unless it was an emergency. He kept you locked up in his room almost at all times. The TV was on at all times, you were left with some things to read and games that would strain you, all while laying on the comfiest bed he was able to pilfer in the dead of night. Oh! And the very soft handcuff he attached to the bedpost to keep you from running off, of course. Only the best for you, sweetheart.

💜 He'd make sure to get anything he thinks may help. Ointments, medicines, heating pads and ice packs… Hell, he might just kidnap doctors or physical therapists to begin a care plan if he had even the slightest inkling it may help. He wanted to show you just how deeply he cared for you. There is nothing he wouldn't do for you. No lengths he would not go. All he could hope for is that you'll see how much he truly adores you. That you feeling okay and being without pain was all he could ever hope for, ever dream of.

💚 One night, while you lay together with something playing on the TV, both of you silhouetted by the light of the television, does he tell you. After his impromptu bath in the ACE Chemicals factory, he was left with lifelong burning sensations. They came and went. Sometimes he could hardly see or breathe. Other times, he could hardly feel anything at all, like he'd gone entirely numb. Nobody else really knew, but he wanted you to. To know he understood. To know you weren't alone.

He’s not one for emotional connection, and becoming emotionally attached to someone isn’t something he’s fond of. He likes unpredictability, and since you’re here to stay.. well..

His emotions fluctuate quickly, and at first dating your relationship would be built on very, VERY uncomfortable tension. He can be sincere at one moment, and the other go off to do something he’d find more stimulating. He finds romantic dates droll, and prefers nights out where the two of you try to create as much havoc as you can, even if you don’t really want to. If you perfer a more quiet, intimate time with him, he might Indulge you once every blue moon to his dismay.

He’d love having a green eyed partner, maybe he’d even have a preference to it! In a way, it’s like the two of you match, so he finds it hilarous… not at your expense of course !

He’s not on the best track record with relationships, but he does make an active effort for you at times. He’s very selfish and psychopathic, but at certain moments of the day he makes an attempt at checking in on you if he’s not caught up in a bat scandal. He could have it both ways if he wanted you to join him in his schemes or not. On one hand, because he finds himself attached, he’d rather shove you in some secluded hideout for your saftey. On the other hand, his more dominant hand, he’d love spending all of his time with you!

A very random headcanon, but hed likely make any birthday of yours the BIGGEST deal in the universe. He’s blowing up buildings in your honor, telling everyone that if they don’t wish you a lovely day they’ll have to say it from up above next year.

His jokes likely push boundaries and might be at your expense, though he never makes them to see you upset. He’s inept when it pertains to his partners feelings unless you actively communicate with him or he notices an unsubtle shift in behavior. He’s very suspectable to changes in his partner, and if you’re upset, HES upset.

Isn’t very affectionate through his words, unless he’s calling you a ‘silly Willy snookums bear” or whatever else he can make up at the top of his head. He prefers giving you gifts descreetly or giving you subtle gestures to secretly show he really cares.

He’s very dedicated in a relationship overall. If you agree to date him, then you’re with him eternally. He’s already had an idea for your wedding venue—Batman’s grave !

His hands were cold, and shaky, and practically sharp. His nails looked like they could cut through paper like a knife, the potential to slice with ease through your skin, but his touch was nothing but gently.

He gently moved his hand down your neck, fingertips dancing down your throat. His pupils were blown wide, his face was blotched with red blush.

His eyes were wide and attentive, like he noticed every little thing on your body, every fold of the skin, every mark or blemish, every slight change of skin tone, when your skin would go red or where it turned purple from bruises, or the blue from your veins down on yours wrists.

“You look so…” he spoke with precision, like he was carefully handpicking every little word. “Exquisite..” he softly muttered, his teeth getting caught on his lip as he watched you.

He trailed his hands down a tiny bit farther, running his hands up and down your shoulders, rubbing his thumbs over your skin. The way his cold fingers tapped on your warm skin.

He took the strap of your tank top, lifting it above your head, tossing it to the side. He now had access to your chest, and he liked it, he liked seeing you under him, completely, unhesitatingly obedient, to him, and him alone.

As he leaned up he took you in, his dark hair hanging over his face, but you could see the glow of his eyes, matching the intense look of the sweat lightly coating his body. It seemed so hot in here, maybe it was just the heat off the two of your bodies.

He leaned back down, now pushing down to press and flutter kisses down your neck, his lips were also cold, but everytime his lips touched your skin his it felt like your skin got warmer and redder. Everytime he’d kiss your skin it felt like a shock rang through your skin.

He chuckled as you shivered, kissing down your arm, placing kisses on each of your fingers and knuckles. He repeated the process on your other arm.

When he was done he reached his head up to kiss your chest, before kissing down your stomach. Watching as your body flinches at his lips on your tummy.

He eventually, began to go lower, you looked down in shock, before looking away, your cheeks were blushing a dark, deep red.

Not a moment later he took your chin and made you look back at him, not liking when you paid attention to anything else but him. He slowly began to drag your last item of clothing down to your ankles, and throwing them off the bed.

Jonathan didn’t want too think much of the new psychologist at Arkham Asylum.

He didn’t…at first until they began openly flirting with you.

Like other Scarecrows, this Jonathan is incredibly observant.

Some childhood friend of yours has come back to town. Possibly some feelings being re-kindled as well. 

Ironically enough, he feeds himself into his own fear of losing you to someone else. 

He will come up with a plethora of excuses to get you to stay, or have you run errands to keep you busy. 

Anything to keep you near him, but not hinder his plans. 

It’s obvious to you what’s happening, and you can’t help but find it a tad bit amusing. 

Year One Scarecrow: 

Jonathan is extremely protective and defensive of you.

You’re the first bit of peace and happiness he’s found in anyone.

He sure as hell isn’t going to lose you to anyone.

Jonathan gets jealous easily, moreso than either of you like to admit. 

Actively drags you away from someone else and tries to take up your time.

He’s just really used to being abandoned or abused and…he’s not sure he can go through that again with you.

But every time you reassure him, you continue to stay by his side. 

Jonny grows more secure in the relationship and less jealous…eventually.

Masters of Fear Scarecrow: 

Like earlier Scarecrows, he tries to ignore it. 

He knows you’re faithful, he knows you love him and wouldn’t leave him…

He will conveniently come up with plans so you couldn’t go out with someone he feels threatened by.

“The batch is now entirely wasted. ”He sighed, paying you no mind as he walked past you. “I knew I shouldn’t have trusted them with shipping the containers – It was bound to end in disaster.” He was always calm. Even now, after whatever the hell happened with his henchmen – It was in his nature. Never could lose his cool or be caught by surprise. You could tell, though. He was frustrated – maybe even a little bit panicked about it. He had a deadline to reach, and making the needed amount of toxin would take time.

The easiest way to ease his stress was usually just talking with him – a way of distraction. Occasionally a horror movie helped. But the way he was rambling in his always so… calm voice, getting to say something between his words without interruptin him was going to be a challenge. So, getting his attention without talking was the best course of action.

You waited for him to walk by you, and bit his arm. He continued walking for a few steps, until he stopped, and turned around to look at you slowly.

“Did you… just bite me?” He asks, head tilted to the side ever so slightly. You confirm with a hum, looking up at him. “...Why?” He asked, a confused tone in his voice.

“You were panicked.” You stated, watching as the confusion only got more visible in him.

“And you decided that biting me would help?”

“Are you still panicked?” You asked, and he hummed in thought.

He looked right at you, Answering, “I suppose not. As much as I’d like not to admit it, you caught me by surprise.”

Sighing, you walked inside the room where he was, mask on and shuffling through countless papers – shipment info, perhaps? You walked closer to him, stopping a few feet behind him. Would he snap at you? Possibly. Would he gas you? Probably not. Thinking through your options, you decided that fuck it, walked up to him and bit his shoulder. He turned to face you so quickly you were surprised he didn’t get whiplash.

“Did you just fucking bite me?” He asked, surprised from your sudden… affection? He sounded almost offended, if you were being honest.

“Yes?” You looked at his burlap-covered face, smiling innocently.

“Why are you acting like that’s a normal course of action to do?”

“you’re not exactly the best person to lecture me about normalcy” You walked next to him, leaning on the table. “Anyhow, What’s up? You’re usually pretty… Cheery. What’s made you so bitchy today?”

I don't think Ed is really the type to have a dedicated shrine, though I do think he'd have keepsakes of yours around his work area or on his person. Pictures of you, writings or doodles you may have made that he was able to snatch up (maybe even saved out of the trash), pieces of clothing that he was able to cut or rip off… You know, normal stuff! Little things to sate him while he couldn't be with you.

I can also see him considering the crimes he committed in your names as a sort of ‘shrine to your love’.

E - Erratic: How unpredictable are they? How quick are mood changes?

Ed prefers sticking to plans when it comes to his crimes, but he can be prone to unpredictability when it comes to social interactions, typically. He can be prone to paranoia and reading into things. Inconsequential words or even a change in tone or expression could be suddenly seen as slights or insults against The Riddler, which can lead to explosions of anger and accusations of betrayal towards civilians, the authorities, Batman, or in the latter case, his hired help. 

But with you, Riddler feels at ease. Any paranoia is soothed by your presence. With you, he feels so at ease. So right. His equal. His match. His soulmate! Any desperate need for validation is quelled by you. Even if you argue and fight with him, he'd know it's not anything you have against him - well, not really. It's not your fault you've been lied to! You'll understand that you and he were meant to be after he helps you unlearn all the horrible things the idiots of this city have force-fed you.

After all, if you weren't perfect for one another, why did he feel so safe and secure with you?

I - Intimacy: How intimate are they with their darling?

Ed is so touch-starved it's not even funny. He never wanted to be separated from you! Be prepared to be basically smothered in affection. Hugging, cuddling, nuzzling, smothering you in kisses - everything he's missed out on, he wants to finally make up for. All his time spent waiting for the perfect partner is finally worth it now that you're here! And as stated above, he won't get angry if you don't reciprocate. You're just confused, it's okay. 

Any attempts at fighting him or cursing him out will just lead to him cooing to you condescendingly as he ties you up in restraints so you can calm down… Though, he may not be able to hold back from being affectionate before you're done with your time-out. He just adored you so much! You know, exposure therapy is a very effective treatment for aversions, and this would be the perfect opportunity to show how wrong all those fools in this cesspool of a city were.

Jonathan doesn’t find himself to be a very jealous man. He’s mastered most of his emotions, and is quite in tune with them more often than not. After all, when’s the last time anyones seen that professor smile?

Of course, he’s quite the soft romantic for his partner. He has no qualms breaking his comfort zone for your own comfort, even if he very openly begrudgingly does so. He’s supposed to be self centered, and finds that you make this increasingly difficult.

I could imagine that, maybe while as ‘Scarecrow’ (if we’re going with the idea that Jonathan Crane and Scarecrow are the same man but different mindsets), Jonathan is significantly less handsy with his partner and more reserved. Being threatening simply doesn’t correlate to being doting, though it doesn’t mean we won’t take care of you. After all, it’s hard to stay fully in character when you’re with him. Surely, many would assume you’re not spoken for as a result.

If he’s jealous, he’ll keep you under scrutiny. It’s not that he’d believe you’d be unfaithful, however.

He wouldn’t want you to leave his side, and as Jonathan, he’s more emotionally vulnerable and communicative with this. It just depends on the situation since he’d like to imagine, despite his flaws that he’s very comfortable and secure in his relationship.

If someone’s bothering you, he can take care of it, though he doesn’t doubt your ability to do it yourself. He might either get said person isolated or just take you away from the situation alltogether. He’d rather not scrap with another right now. (He’s very easily intimadated).

Maybe he’s a bit more touchy afterwards. A hand on your shoulder as he guides you or his hands fixing your hair. He wants to be closer, and finds that it works doing it subtly without indicating his insecurities. He doesn’t need verbal reassurance. You recriprocating affection is enough for him.

Expect a cry. Like a good hard cry as it hits him how much you appreciate him. Call him your Prince while he’s crying and oh dear he’s shaking give him a good hug, maybe a kiss, idk or just give him some space he’s going through stuff rn.

He might call you “My Prince,” “My Princess,” or even any gender neutral term you want. Fuck he’ll call you god if you asked him to, he’ll call you anything after that.

Please do this in public. He likes how people awkwardly shuffle away as you two are the stupidest lovey dovey couple around. Maybe not in front of like. Cops or Batman though. He has a reputation. Although he is called the Prince of Fear so.. maybe so.

He’s not as keen on it as BTAS is. Maybe it’s because he takes his fear-y ness more seriously then baby muppet scarecrow does.

It does give him a good ok classic ego boost, which maybe also isn’t the best idea, he’s already pretty cocky and full of himself. You don’t really care thought, he’s still your silly little boyfriend you you are going to call your prince. I guess he really doesn’t have a choice.

He won’t cry like BTAS, he might give a small little sniffle though, he’s also had a rough time and the fact that he’s been able to become close enough with someone that they see him like this, oh dear. Give him a moment, maybe leave the room.

He becomes more affectionate after that, the conformation as you care for him so much you see him as equivalent to royalty. He hopes you know that he sees you in the exact same way.

Don’t call him that in public. He takes his terror much more seriously, and he would rather no one see him be so vulnerable. That is, if the other rogues even know you exist. Which they most likely don’t. It’s not that he isn’t proud of you, he just doesn’t want you to be injured to to his very dangerous job.
