What is the collector in this au and what role does Caleb (wittabro’s name) play

not sure, actually! really, they could fit in just as they were. a child of the stars who got bored and became a god. but their vibe is far more astrology-like and more like the personification of the space and stars, rather than a kid with a star-theme. also probably a god of the moon/eclipse, just for funsies. nobody is entirely sure what hes about

Caleb is a whole game changer. I think I may just change Hunter to a changeling, same with all the other golden guards. maybe Belos fucked around and made some deals with the fae and continues to nab changeling kids to try and form into the new Caleb. so, Caleb himself is pure human, along with Belos, but he fell in love with some cryptid. probably not the exact same as what Eda is, but somewhat similar enough.

I do think it'd be funny as hell if Belos was actually stealing changeling kids tho. he played the fae at their own game. oh, you steal human children and replace them with your own? well, how about I steal YOUR kids and give you NOTHING? get fucked.

as you can imagine, whether or not he's made any deals with them, the fae don't like him. but not enough to do a lot about him, because most of the fae don't have this funny little thing called Empathy. also, they can tell he's a fucked up dude with some weird goopy monster curse (curtesy of Caleb's lover) and they're fascinated by whatever messed up thing he was gonna do next. like watching a train wreck, but you're standing right next to the rails.

The coffee shop looked pretty nice. Just a tiny, comfy spot for a tiny, comfy latte. Could a latte be comfy? Amity, or at least the mind version of her, shrugged. Probably not. But it didn't matter, it surely delivered the concept.

The line was advancing slowly. Her attention began to lower. With a huff she took on her phone and scrolled a bit down her chats, to no avail. Amity shot a glance at the people around her. Nobody would have paid attention to a young girl with purple hair, or at whatever she was looking at on the screen. She opened ao3.

Just a little dip, she said to herself. Just a couple of paragraphs. Immersed into the sweetness of Hecate's love confession to Azura, she hadn't noticed that she was now right in front of the counter.

"Good afternoon, miss. What can I offer you today?"

The cheerful voice wasn't enough to distract her. Without looking away from the screen, Amity mumbled: "A chocolate and vanilla latte, thanks"

"Alright, will do. And may I..."

Amity shot a glance to the barista. She was a girl about her age, with dark, short hair and kind, warm brown starry eyes. There were no other ways to call them. Starry. It was the perfect definition. Cute, also. She was holding a cup and a pen.

"...have..."

Said cute, starry eyes became less starry and more malicious as her whole face turned into a mischievous expression. Now she got all of Amity's attention.

"...your name?"

Amity was not impressed. Her interest vanished as quickly as it came. She couldn't feel any threatening aura. Just another girl. Cute, but that was it. She returned to her fic. "They call me Amity."

"Huh."

The purple-haired girl looked up. The cutie pie on the other side of the counter was still holding the cup, looking at her quizzically. And vaguely intrigued.

"What? Is there something wrong?"

"No, it's just the delivery. Scared that you may get... Witchnapped?"

"That’s not a word"

"You didn't answer."

Amity looked away, remaining cool and aloof. The barista little smile faded.

"Oh, okay. A choccy-nilla latte for..."

"You have to be careful with names."

Amity wasn't sure about why she said that. But maybe, just maybe, this girl wouldn't have took her for a weirdo.

"They are prized. They are yours."

Maybe, just maybe, this girl wasn't like the others...

Her warm, starry eyes lit up. And the adorable smile returned.

She slammed pen, cup and hands on the counter and leant towards the other, excitedly.

"You too?"

Amity hurriedly took a step back.

"Me too... what?"

"You know the tales, too? The legends, the stories?"

In a way, Amity thought. But before she could say anything, the other girl regained a bit of composure, with an awkward, apologetic smile, and waved her hands.

"Sorry sorry, too lively, wasn't it? But the question stands. You too into folklore?"

Too darn cute. Amity found herself blushing, despite her best efforts. She covered her mouth and tried to focus on something else. Oh, look, how cute this cream dispenser is...

"I'm Luz, by the way"

The girl- Luz- was holding out her hand. Amity took it. "Amity. But you already know it."

This seemed to make something click into Luz's mind.

"Oh, cierto, your latte. Silly me. On it. Anything else- is that a Good Witch Azura keychain?!?"

This girl was a surprise after another. Amity took the little Hecate keychain that was dangling from her purse. She chuckled.

"Yes, I, uh, didn't thought somebody would recognize it..."

"You kidding? It's adorable! And look- we match!"

Luz tucked her hand in the pocket and fished out a phone in a nice bat case, a bunch of scraps, a pencil and finally a couple of keys with a little Azura keychain.

Proudly, she deposited it next to the cream dispenser.

"Twinsies!"

Amity giggled. Luz was an absolute little ray of sunshine, and it's been a real lucky shot having met her. Stretching her purse, she brought Hecate next to her... nemesis? Sweetheart? Frenemy? Whatever.

"Twinsies."

An older boy popped from behind the coffee machine.

"Hey Luz, ya done making googoo eyes? What was her order?"

Luz scrambled back, stuffing everything back into her pocket, and scribbled down on the cup.

"Choccy-nilla latte for Amity! Here it comes!"

Amity tucked a stray strand of purple hair behind her ear, and stepped to the side. Examining the various tip jars, she picked the one with a lot of stickers and doodles of witches on it and dropped her tip. She hadn't found a name, but was somewhat fairly certain that it was Luz's one.

"Choccy-nilla latte!"

Amity took her cup and started walking away. On it, somebody, guess who, has doodled a kitten and a star and a little heart and... wait... is that a...

With her free hand, Amity fished her phone and unlocked it. Typing carefully, she then let it ring a few times.

The sound of a commotion from behind. And then:

"Hello."

"Hello. May I have your name?"

"Noceda, Luz Noceda. But who?..."

Amity turned around, not completely, just enough to let the cutie pie behind the counter see her little smirk.

Luz's face went from puzzled to charmed.

"Oh, I see..."

"Scared of being witchnapped, Noceda?"

With the teasing "Not a word!" from Luz still in her ears, Amity walked out of the coffee shop.

She let her gaze wander over the skyline of the woods, and the light orange hue of the sunset.

"Luz Noceda..." she hummed. That was the prized name. That was hers.

Amity would make good use of it.

I love that in your stories that include Hunter, whether it’s a TOH IBWR au, or TGB, he must have werewolf elements to his character haha. Do you have any ideas as to what the TOH Cast would look like in your IBWR Au? Particularly interested in the fae/peculiars elements? I love your designs for those types of characters in IBWR.

Fairies are colour coded. In folklore, it is said that fairies can only feel one thing at a time. This is not true, but the stories stem from that fairies have a "fairy-flaw" which is associated to their colour.

You recognise them by their pointy ears and... uniformely one-coloured stuff. In a green fairy's case, green hair, green eyes. And when they blush, it's a shade of green.

This emotion will, when felt, be so much stronger and all-consuming than any other emotion. A fairy has to be aware, and learn to control and regulate, that particular fairy-flaw.

However, fairies are also masters of one trait.

In folklore, fairies are often popping up as craftsmen. They make shoes, they make silk, they make clothes, mead, milk, etc. This stems from that fairies, when allowed to work with their fixation, become natural experts in their fields.

People often feel they are unfairly talented because they're fairies, and not because they learned like everyone else (which they did, it's just an analogy for being a gifted kid). and sabotages for them, either by excluding them or ensuring they can't pursue it.

Victorian England is, in majority, a christian culture. In England, they would categorise each fairy by a "sin". So, a green fairy's flaw would be envy/jealousy. For Willow, I think this works. At least if her life in IBWR meant she was kept away from doing what she wanted and often felt envy of those who got pursue what they want in life.

Fairies, also, if they are being influenced by their fairy-flaw, starts to turn the colour of it.

She would live with her dads, under the guise that one was her dad and the other was her godfather and simply just.. such a good friend to her "only" dad that he lives there as a roommate. You might be surprised to hear this wouldn't raise much eyebrows. Sounds reasonable! They own a store together after all! People would just often comment that it's such a shame they're both bachelors.

Werewolves are a controversial topic in the field of science at the time of when IBWR is taking place (1885), as they were moved from Erebus type to Beast type. People argue that, as they are associated with the moon and are coded as dangerous, they should remain in the erebus type. But they were moved to beast, as they are very dog-like in appearance.

Werewolves were not consulted on this re-categorisation.

Despite being moved to the beast type, they still practice within the sub-culture of Erebus types. Vampires, Night fairies and Banshees still acknowledges them as part of their group.

Werewolves are reduced, culturally and socially, to their looks and the horror stories that has been crafted around them. They are deemed barbaric, hound-like, uncivilised and.. Adorable. Werewolves struggle to find authentic people to socialize with, as most want to use them for their power. People don't think they have ambitions or intelligence larger than a canine.

I think this would fit Hunter, if he lived with his uncle, and Philip never considered Hunter's feelings. Just using him for what he was; a powerful henchman he could control and order around as he pleased - they're family after all.

Spriggans have a sense for mischief, trickery and has the ability to camouflage themselves just like chameleons. They are natural showmen, charismatic entertainers and cannot stop themselves around all that glitters. Like magpies, they collect things. It's a problem. They don't even mean to, it just kinda happens. Like a cat chasing a fly. Suddenly you're eating it and you sit there like "why did I do that. That was dumb."

Spriggans have a kleptomania problem. It is rarely even about actual riches, it can be spoons. An endless amount of spoons and they just can't help themselves. If you know a Spriggan's weakness, they'll knowingly make a bad bargain. They don't even want another damn spoon, but they just... It's a spoon. They don't have that spoon. They need that spoon. Good god the spoons. There are spriggans who have lost their homes to their unhealthy desire to collect. (pst, it's a metaphor for an addictive personality). Spriggans live both merry and unfortunate lives. They love life, they love people, but they get in trouble easily.

You'll find them in music halls, in thrifting shops, by the harbour, casinos, in any kind of sales work.

For Gus, I think he'd work in his dad's thrifting store and part time in a music hall! See the people, entertain the crowd! Perhaps find a watch that slips into his hand.... But Gus is a good boy. His dad taught him well! If you pick up something that isn't yours, say aloud "WOW WHAT A NICE THING." and put it back. It's difficult to walk away from something you loudly announce, and it gives him leeway to excuse himself for being eccentric and picking up what isn't his.

Perhaps Hunter and Gus meet at the music hall? :) I'm sure that's where they meet Willow too.

In this AU, I think Gus and Willow meets Luz, then Hunter, and lastly Amity. Perhaps whatever Philip is working with involves the blight family, and it conspires a story of drama, forbidden love and friendships from there. :P

Amity, a regular! a rich family with big expectations on their children. I like to imagine the blight twins are off to rebellious outlets! Like a music hall, and decides to bring their baby sister along. To which where she meets the gang.

Luz, a regular, who wants to be a witch! She wants to join the most powerful coven in all of England! But, ah-- She's not gifted. The Ashdown family does not hire people in their stores if they have no powerful fylgja of some sort. Or at the very least have the gift of sight.

Trying to learn witchcraft anyway, from a witch (Eda) who claims you don't have to be special to become a great witch, takes her in under her wing in the music hall The Owl House. She puts her to work there, and Luz is determined to work in exchange of learning witchcraft.

Luz soon discovers that witchcraft is... rather gruesome work. Blood, rituals, dead bodies and overbearing gods. But perhaps magic can be different? Maybe you could.. Do something else with it? That doesn't involve murdering innocent peculiars.

And there is.

She just got to figure out how. And maybe with her friends, she could. :P

So... basically what Theodore is doing. :l He would hire her in a heartbeat.

Hey Dagger. It's me Rainbow.

.... So it's been a week since we've last seen you. I know why you're gone but still. I miss you. We all do. Someone asked @angelcloves about you actually, they were worried why you haven't been posting. Fae was kinda polite and discrete about it, don't worry.

Nothing much has been going on really, more of the same actually. @el-fandom-birb and @stars-and-birds had a lovers quarrel over a meme (???) and now they're being dorky vampire/werewolf lovers. Send help. @haystarlight has been tagging Human as per usual. OH! Charolette is gonna make a continuation to that chess match fic between Papa Titan and Caleb! (Still don't know much about chess but I thought you'd appreciate it.)

Speaking of fics, remember that one post I reblogged with a looot of tags talking about a potential AU? I asked Charolette for some advice and fae were really nice! Still have yet to do anything for it, haven't even written the draft yet hahahaha

Wanted to share a ref of my OC/Vtubersona/Persona since most of this blog will probably be doodles and shitposts featuring her.

Or by coincidence the duo met at a Lovejoy concert idk.

Me: Dana watched one too many TOH critical Youtube videos. But honestly, he seems like a waste of character space and writing.       

 Lomes: Not all characters need to be deep or important. 

Me: With what little time they have yeah.

 Sunniva: It may be funny to laugh at him and feel smug over not being in the same boat but  we can easily fall for the same tricks. 

 Lomes: They did deal with the antivaxer better. It’d be cool if he was the museum caretaker.

Lomes: Every non traditional meat tastes like chicken.

Sunniva: Luz’s mom must have no idea what's going on. “ Wow Hunter, your costume is actually cool now.”

Jorah: They killed Hunter’s support animal and only friend by having them flap uselessly in front of Belos, not even trying to fight, even though she was initially hiding behind the grave. >:(

Sunniva: The creators needed the angst. 

Me: No, see, Hunter hadn’t gone through enough pain, there’s a fucking quota that needs be met per a certain time frame. How else are people supposed to know that white people can feel pain?

Lomes: White people suffered a lot through history, you know. That’s why the show spent so much time on Hunter and Amity over characters like Willow and Gus.

Jorah: He’s not even screaming in anger over losing the Titan blood for the portal, he just needs something to the Halloween party or else he’s gonna lose support from his sugar daddy.

Lomes: “ No, Hunter! How am I gonna keep the bitches now? Everyone’s going to leave again.”

Sunniva: Okay, one of them tried to take the other down with them to water. Did Belos forget he can’t swim?

Me: My short, clumsy, memory loss having ass always going in the deep end while barely remembering how to swim.

Me: They’re just toxic, Luz never shares her thoughts or emotions-

Me: Have Luz get with another female character then, like Willow.

Part one of “Prinxiety AUs based on games by Greg Lobanov because all of his games are incredible.”

Wandersong is such a special game to me. The story is so moving, and the characters are all so fun! Would 100% recommend! If anyone wants to know more about this game, I’d be happy to share! Like I said, this game means a lot to me, and it would mean the world if I could inspire someone else to pick it up.

I know that the Bard isn’t a perfect fit for Roman, being a pacifist who prefers to avoid fighting at all costs. In all honesty, I can see Audrey being a much better fit for him. But Miriam was literally SCREAMING Virgil, both personality wise and aesthetically, and I thought the idea of a little charismatic Bard, someone who moves people with their songs and wants to be a hero, was also a good fit for our favorite Creative Side.

(And I wanted it to be Prinxiety so badly so shhhhhh)

I had the incredible honor of collaborating with @wistful-wish in this year’s @sandersidesbigbang ! You know I can’t resist a good Prinxiety fic. And set in a fantasy AU with half the cast as fae? Virgil as an all-powerful fae prince? Roman as the himbo human prince that Virgil can’t help but fall for? The choice literally made itself for me lol

Go check out Tessa’s fic! She worked SO hard on it and it’s AMAZING!!! Also, go check out the incredible art @briandthemoon did for the fic! It was so cool working alongside such a talented artist, and their art for the fic is absolutely gorgeous!

Summary: Roman makes a silly request, not expecting Virgil to agree. Virgil surprises him.

It’s a quiet day in the Mindscape. For once, Thomas is right on schedule, much to Logan’s delight, and he has no appointments to attend or projects to complete for a while. As such, the Sides were all in agreement that Thomas deserves a day or two to himself filled with junk food and mindless television.

Roman usually despises silence. His flavor of creativity is loud, all bright colors and toe-tapping lyrics intended to capture an audience’s attention. He is most confident with a song on his lips, lyrics weaving around him like silk ribbons. He feels strongest with a sword in his hands and a dragon’s roar thrumming in his eardrums, his own battle cry rising to meet it. He is bold with his movements, headstrong in his opinions, and passionate in his actions. He is Prince Roman, brash and striking and loud. And he loves being loud.

But sometimes, he can appreciate the beauty in silence. He can recall an early morning when he had woken up before anyone else, a curious occurrence for a prince who preferred to sleep in. The common room had been drenched in cool tones, the last dregs of night barely clinging on. He had been pouring himself a bowl of cereal, whistling to himself to fill the suffocating stillness, when a soft beam of gold had pierced the darkness like an arrow to a monster’s heart. The tune Roman had been whistling was suddenly caught in his throat as he beheld the most gorgeous sunrise he had ever seen. Suddenly, the silence had presence, as if it were lifting the sun into the sky. Roman couldn’t breathe for a few seconds, afraid that the sound of his breaths would tear into this gorgeous image and send the sun cascading back down to earth.

my very first fandom contribution was on here! I just saw people making posts that were half fic, half au and idea collaboration and just kinda. Joined in?

I have never made a crack fic

The longest I’ve ever been in a fandom might be toh, I remember reading fics right around the end of season one, but otherwise probably gravity falls

My first fandom was definitely gravity falls. I continue to love thinking about the shenanigans Pacifica and the twins could have gotten up to if they were friends earlier on when I’m bored. I prefer animated tv over live action

I don’t think tumblr has ruined any fandom for me, but I love the block button

I didn’t particularly care about any game fandoms until I saw them on tumblr, but I bought hollow knight today and I bought Stardew Valley a month or so ago and I’m having lots of fun

I feel pretty good about the people I choose to interact with in fandom, but like I said earlier, the block button is a good friend of mine

I actually did have someone I really like make a fic I wanted, but that was more a we put together an idea together and then he wrote a fic for it. (Hi, Teddy, if you’re reading this, I’m talking about you)

An irl friend of mine, @fizzywizzard, (their Christian parents found their tumblr, rest in peace) peer pressured me into watching the first anime I ever watched, so thanks dude

my favorite fandom to interact with is my single pjo mutual (hi again teddy) and their mutuals circle, whom occasionally enjoy my deranged bullshit

Invent a random au: hoo au that’s a typical uni au except that every character is a different type of nonhuman: Will is a med student vampire, Nico is a mortuary student ghost who’s been trying to pass one of the core classes for the last decade, Leo is your basic demon while Jason is your basic angel and they are studying engineering and architecture respectively, Percy is, obviously, a Mer studying marine preservation, Grover stays the same and is studying nature preservation with Percy, Piper is a Siren (which is different than a Mer) studying business, Annabeth is a harpy (she looks like an owl) and is studying architecture with Jason, Reyna is a witch studying politics, Frank is a shapeshifter studying psychology, and Hazel is a Fae studying archaeology. Hedge is a staff member who is fed up with their bullshit.
