if klaus and bonnie remet post canon (assuming that klaus didn’t die in TOs5) how to you think their dynamic would change? would their newfound life experiences heavily alter how they view each other now?

Bonnie’s time on the series ends so open-ended, it’s a huge gap from the series finale and TO but she does have a different outlook on the supernatural world around her through her friendships + former romance with Enzo. Klaus certainly would be all about Hope in a post s5 sense but because he’s a paranoid man if he crosses paths with Bonnie he will want to know what is up. Bonnie would be bothered by Klaus attempting to check her to ensure she isn’t a threat to Hope’s safety, but she’s never seen the softer side to him that he has with Hope. She’d be interested and want to know more about how he’s changed since Hope’s been in his life. There is no way for Bonnie to be a Mystic Falls resident (keeping canon in mind) and not knowing who Hope is even if Bonnie knows Hope as Hope Marshall, not Mikaelson. There would be work for Klonnie to straighten out on trusting each other post those series finales. In another light once they get past their struggles and judgements it could be another chance at love for them both if they open themselves to that and work on their relationship. Bonnie isn’t who she was at 17, and Klaus isn’t completely who he was when he first came into town. They’d have different outlooks on life since the years have kept them parted but those differences could be what’s needed to bring them closer. They’d have plenty to discuss Klaus never even knew Bonnie was a huntress for example, she doesn’t know Klaus was put down for five years by his own son. It’ll be work for them both but manageable. I think Hope would love another relatable witch figure in her life. She’s never seen Klaus in a actual relationship, she was a baby when Cami was around. She’s aware of his past with Aurora and her mother but nothing else regarding Klaus’ relationships.

I firmly reject Julie’s thoughts that Bonnie spends the rest of her life post-Enzo traveling, single with plenty of meaningless flings never settling down anywhere or loving again. S8 told us that Bonnie wants a good life and love like her friends. She may have loved Enzo for three years at 19-23/24 but it doesn’t mean she can’t find that again in someone else later on she’d be in her early-to-mid 30s around TO’s timeline. Bonnie would’ve moved on. She can have more than “one epic love” despite TVDU’s rule with that.
