Eyes on Fire (Teen, Sterek, Teen Wolf)

When a rival pack goes after Scott and his friends, Stiles finds himself caught in the crossfire. With his subsequent turning to haunt him among other nightmares, Stiles has to learn how to control his new abilities and make something of a situation he never wanted for himself, much less with the tensions that linger in Beacon Hills since the awakening of the Nemeton. As he eventually figures out how to be a werewolf, he finally finds common ground with one Derek Hale, catching feelings as he goes. The unexpected alliance might be just what Beacon Hills needs to bring the established werewolf packs together once and for all.

This was my first reverse bang and I finally tried my hand at werewolf!Stiles, I had a lot of fun coming up with the fic to match the art.

Alec is doing his best to keep the city safe. With no support from the Clave, the New York Institute is desperately understaffed. He begins patrolling with help from the Downworld factions - which proves to be tricky at best, and becomes almost impossible when the werewolves start hunting Alec.  His siblings have no idea of what he’s up to at night and to keep them all safe Alec needs to keep it that way. Then, he meets the High Warlock of Brooklyn. Suddenly, patrolling also includes pop songs and bird puns in between watching someone's back when fighting demons. But, what’s one more secret to keep?

This was my first collab with a beta and an artist for a bang, I’m exceptionally proud of this one!

4. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

Yes, always! I just love interacting with other fans, it’s nice to know someone actually read your fic and noticed details or reacted to some choices you made in the narrative. Also it can be a great way to find new ideas and motivation, I wish I could be more invested in writing communities to keep those creative juices flowing.

5. What fic has the angstiest ending?

I’d say Dangerous Tastes (Explicit, Yalex, Alex Rider), it’s a bit of a star-crossed lovers romance and the ending is particularly bittersweet, albeit hopeful.

After a failed assassination attempt during his horse ride around the property, Alex gets a bodyguard against his will. He keeps flirting with danger from then on, even at the risk of getting his heart broken.

6. What fic has the happiest ending?

Oh, definitely 17 Suits (Explicit, Malec, Shadowhunters)! Alec and Magnus find common ground over the one thing that pushed them apart all throughout the story.

Magnus Bane, a sworn bachelor, receives his fair share of wedding invitations on a regular basis and makes sure his friends get through their weddings unscathed. One dark, wounded and mysterious Alec Lightwood is not going to rain on Magnus’ parade as he celebrates the best day of his loved ones’ lives.

7. Do you write crossovers?

Not really, I don’t read them either. I do write fusion fics though, specifically Pokémon like I did with Idris Tour Sweethearts (General, Malec, Shadowhunters) for instance.

Alec is fascinated by dragon types and has learned everything about them in books. He’s always dreamed of finding them in the wild and see them for himself, but he never went on his journey with a Pokémon and now, it’s too late to travel the world. Except, is it? Alec’s siblings are all grown up, and he doesn’t have a job — or friends — to keep him in his hometown. He could leave and attempt to complete the Pokédex, hopefully meeting some dragons along the way. Maybe he’ll even find love, like so many Idris Tour sweethearts before him… But the winner of Pokémon beauty Contests, Top Coordinator Magnus Bane, couldn’t possibly want more than one night in Alec’s arms. Right?

8. Have you received hate on ao3?

No? but then I usually assume good faith so unless you’re insulting me or my mom I’ll either think the comment is clumsy but the person meant well, or just move on. 

9. Do you write smut?

Yeah, surprisingly. I was never really interested in smut, would even skip smut scenes for the longest time but eventually I found it useful in some stories and then I made a point of doing kinktober (Malec, Shadowhunters / Sterek, Teen Wolf) and smutember (Yalex, Alex Rider) just to figure out how to fit the prompts into some ideas and it’s been a lot of fun!

10. Have you had a fic get stolen?

I don’t think so or at least I’m not aware if there has been one. I did occasionally share ideas that got passed around and written by somebody else which is always uncomfortable but that’s on me for both sharing and not mentioning it wasn’t up for grabs lmao

11. Have you had a fic get translated?

Nope! I thought of translating a couple myself though, I’m just too lazy x)

12. Have you co-written a fic?

Several! Even though @spark-draws will deny it I do consider them a co-writer because they came up with a good chunk of the outline and I implemented major edits due to their feedback on The Mortal Instruments: Skyrim (Mature, Malec, Shadowhunters). 

Magnus and Alec are now enemies who have been saddled up with a mysterious quest to save Skyrim. Will rivalry, distrust and fierce and dangerous dragons get the better of them? Or will they find some much needed guidance on the slopes of the Throat of the World, where a mysterious brotherhood holds some of the answers they so desperately need?

I also recently worked on Vastly Different Things (Teen, Yalex, Alex Rider) with @polarnachtsblog as a thank you fic for our pinch-hitter in the Yalex Secret Santa. We literally wrote parts of the fic on our own then merged it all together with minor edits and transitions, it was a lot of fun!

Alex almost gets tossed from a helicopter into a river in Chile, and spends some quality time with a certain assassin.

13. What's your fav ship?

Right now I’m on a roll for Sam Carter x Ba’al (Stargate SG-1) but my one true pairing is definitely Helen Blackthorn x Aline Penhallow (Shadowhunters). I love them. so much.

14. What's a WIP you want to finish but never will?

I don’t know, I’ve completed WIPs several years after I started them so I tend to not consider a fic discontinued until I’ve deleted the fic from the platform, and considering most of my WIPs have not been posted anywhere… ;)

15. What are my writing strengths?

I’m really good at “getting it done” I think because productivity breeds productivity. If you get started and power through long enough, it becomes easier and you can keep going and enjoy yourself while you’re at it!

Same with edits, I’m not afraid to change things (although I can be lazy). It also applies to plotting/outlining, I’m an excellent planner, sometimes too much of a planner though.

Style wise I’ve been told I’m good at writing fight scenes and setting, I do enjoy my descriptions!

16. What are my writing weaknesses?

I’ve always thought I’m terrible at dialogue!

I can get stuck in a writing slump from too much planning.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages on ao3?

I used to really like it, especially since I’m bilingual myself. I wanted to use some fancy script to have the translation appear when you hover or link it to the notes and then back to the exact line in the story but I couldn’t figure it out xD

Nowadays I like the much simpler “POV character doesn’t speak the language” or “blah blah blah, they said in French”. You get it or you don’t x) 

18. What's the first fandom you wrote for?

Either Naruto or Harry Potter, let’s say Harry Potter because there is a completed fic I can actually remember lmao.

19. What fandom/ship have you not written but want to?

Definitely Stargate SG-1 these days because I’m on a Sam/Ba’al binge!

Right about now it’s Blue for Brooklyn (Teen, Malec, Shadowhunters) but it may change depending on my mood!

Could you do a Wyatt Lykensen x reader (human…witch😉) there relationship started to blossom in zombies 2 when they got paired together for a history project. You’re not sure what good you expected to come of the werewolves, but they’re certainly throwing Seabrook into upheaval. The pack barely arrived a few days ago, and already you can tell that nothing will be as it once was.

Your fears could, of course, be more than slightly exacerbated by the fact that the werewolves are making your best friends totally freak out. Zed is certain that their quickly lessening tolerance for proper etiquette will lead to harsher crackdowns on zombies, and although Addison is more wearily accepting of them than her boyfriend, no one can deny that the werewolves are as suspicious as they come.

You, for one, are used to all manner of suspicious things. Suspicious happens when you’re best friends with the zombies even before Seabrook lowered its restrictions on monsters, when your best friend, Addison, has a shock of white hair that she can’t explain, and also when you happen to be a witch.

It has been fairly easy to be a witch in this town, all things considered. You’re able to pass as a normal human so long as you aren’t obvious with your spells, and by the time you revealed yourself, everyone was so accepting of zombies that they just shrugged and admitted you along with them. Now, the worst you have to fear is someone begging you for a love potion the night before the school dance.

Still, so long as there is tension within Seabrook, you’ll never be totally at ease. You don’t need Zed’s whispering to tell that there’s definitely something up with the werewolves. Although they claim that they’re only here to go to school, they’ve been eyeing Addison’s hair with enough fervor to make anyone doubt them. The only question now is when they’ll strike, and how bad the aftermath will be.

For now, though, they seem content with doing their best to blend in. It feels like everywhere you look, you see a werewolf or two trying to make their way in the complex world of Seabrook High social politics, or that could just be due to the fact that one of them is approaching you right now.

You’ve been on the receiving end of a fair share of werewolf attention ever since the pack arrived. They’ve been all over you in not so discreet questions about your spells, what they can be used for and how good you are at locating other sources of magic.

Of all of the werewolves, however, you think that Wyatt Lykensen has been the most persistent. You’ve seen him hanging around a couple of times now, pretending to be reading a book or doing homework, but whenever you glance away, he goes back to his chief task:  watching you.

It doesn’t feel malicious, his sudden attention, more like he’s trying to get a read on you. No one quite knows how to deal with a witch, seeing as there’s only ever been one of you, but you get the feeling Wyatt is angling for something a little more. You can’t help the guess that the werewolves want your help, but whether they’ll actually ask for it, that remains to be seen.

Today, however, just might be that day. Wyatt slides into a seat at the other side of the library table, propping his elbows up on the smooth surface.

He says nothing at first, and you arch a brow at him. “Good morning,” you say pointedly, and he has the decency to look chagrined.

“Good morning indeed,” Wyatt comments all too casually, “How was your weekend?”

You shrug absentmindedly, attention less on Wyatt and more on the chessboard in front of you. Although Addison may be one of your best friends, you’re far less destined for the cheerleading squad than she is. Instead, you’re a dedicated member of the Seabrook chess team, even when that means you have to study up outside of meetings to make sure you can keep your winning streak.

“Not bad,” you mumble, staring daggers at a rook that refuses to act as you’d like it, “Did some witchy stuff, you know, the usual.”

Wyatt seems intrigued by this. “Witchy stuff? Like the talismans in front of you?”

You snap out of your chess-induced haze long enough to glance at him in confusion, then realize what he’s referring to. “These aren’t talismans,” you laugh, “these are chess pieces. You know, like the game? I’m trying to practice.”

Wyatt frowns. “We don’t play a lot of chess in our pack.”

“Yeah, I think I got that,” you remark, although Wyatt looks faintly hurt so you add on: “It’s a fun game, you should try it some time.”

He grins at you, fangs flashing in the fluorescent lighting. “Maybe you should teach me.”

“Maybe you should find a more effective way of stalking me,” you counter, “or otherwise do a better job of acting like you actually want to learn the game instead of figuring out if I can use my magic to help your pack.”

Wyatt leans back against his chair, groaning. “You always assume the worst of us.”

You give him a look. “And am I wrong?”

“No,” he says a little too quickly, “but you never know. One of these days, we might surprise you.”

The bell rings overhead, releasing you to class. You stand up and start to gather your things.

“I’ll be sure to tell you when that happens,” you say coolly, and walk past Wyatt to head to your next period. Despite this obvious dismissal, however, his grin only seems to broaden.

After that, you and your pride have to head to math, which diminishes both. Your class after that is history, though, and that usually picks up your spirits at least a little bit. Or, it does, until you walk in the room and your normally fantastic teacher announces that you’ll be doing a partner project, and it’ll be his choice for the partners.

There is a special place in hell saved for the person who keeps putting partner projects in school curriculums. No one learns a single thing except that you can never trust anyone to do the work except yourself. A partner project just signals that you’re about to waste far too many hours of your time, and who could ever spare the energy for that?

Your foul mood is only worsened when your partner is announced to be Wyatt. He slides into a seat next to you so you can work, and you glare at his broad smile.

“Did you do this?” You ask, gesturing vaguely between the two of you.

“Do what?” Wyatt asks innocently. Across the room, the history teacher flashes him a not-so-subtle thumbs up, and you arch a brow.

“Alright,” he admits, “maybe I recommended that I work with a good friend of mine so I wouldn’t have any difficulties in finding a partner.”

You give him an incredulous stare. “And we’re such good friends that your excuse would work?”

Wyatt chuckles. “Of course we are. Now, what do you want to do for the project? We should really get started soon, you know.”

You bite back a few choice words. “I couldn’t agree more. How about you pick the topic, Wyatt? You seem to have so much sway over everything else, I would hate to disappoint you of another chance to trap me in something.”

He laughs. “Well, with that outstanding vote of confidence, I would never pass up the chance to decide. We’re supposed to be doing a project on the lasting impacts of ancient Indian culture, right? How about we do it on chess?”

At your baffled look, Wyatt elaborates. “Chess came from an Indian game called chaturanga. Most intelligence dates it as originating from around the sixth century, which is well within the time limit of the project. I figure you know enough about the game that you could help us coast on your expertise.”

You nod slowly. “At this point, I think you have more expertise than I do. How did you know that? I thought you had no idea what chess was.”

Wyatt lifts a shoulder. “I might have Googled a few things after this morning. Figured it couldn’t hurt.”

You stare at him a second longer, then break out into quiet laughter. “I’m almost impressed,” you say, and Wyatt smiles back at you.

“And I’m almost sure that was a compliment. So, does that mean we have a truce? Can we be friends?”

You shake his offered hand before you can second guess yourself. “Sounds good to me.”

As it turns out, being friends with Wyatt is quite good indeed. Usually, you’re quite content to stick to your own devices, preferring quiet meetings with your chess club or couple of best friends to larger gatherings, but Wyatt makes you feel far more daring than you ever have.

At first, Zed is incredibly suspicious of Wyatt’s sudden kindness to you, but as time goes on and you get to know the pack a little better, you’re able to assuage his worries yourself. Willa may have plans for her wolves, but Wyatt hangs out with you for the sole pleasure of your company. You don’t think you’ve ever seen someone enjoy the sound of your laugh so much.

Besides, Wyatt might be the sole exception to your rule about hating partner projects. Not only does he do an equal amount of work, he seems to spend just about as much time studying your smile so as to commit it to memory. He trades cited sources with inside jokes, properly formatted paragraphs with comments that make you have to clap a hand over your mouth so you don’t burst out laughing in the middle of class.

Even after the project ends, you continue to spend your free time with Wyatt. You can’t help it, it’s just so easy to talk to him that you forget that you could have ever worried about his ulterior motives. Although Wyatt certainly puts in the hours towards attempting to master chess, he has yet to beat you in a game. That only makes him want to try even harder, though.

In the end, you’re happy with him, and that’s the simple truth. It takes some time for you to realize that you don’t just want his friendship but something more, and after that, Wyatt comes to about the same conclusion.

About a week or so after the project ends, you find him waiting for you by your locker after school ends, a bouquet of wildflowers in his hands and a very nervous look on his face. Any worries he might have about asking you out, though, are quickly dissipated by your immediate acceptance.

After all, why on earth would you have reason to turn him down? Wyatt makes you feel like no one else. Even using your magic doesn’t leave you with a rush like this. At the end of the day, you can look to him in times of deepest trouble, and that is more than enough to leave you happy.

Characters/story:

Janus - mentally/physically 26-27ish - turned in the 1900s/1910s as a child - was gifted a Victorian house from his adopted vampire family that he now lives in as a bit of a recluse. He allowed Virgil to stay after he was turned and together they keep up the act of being Normal Humans. He allows a werewolf pack to rent part of the property since it has a large yard and forest that he doesn't use. It's only because he has no use for the land and he thinks the supposed rivalry between vampires and werewolves that some like to play up is absurd. it has nothing to do with how charming he thinks one of the wolves is, nothing at all. (I do realize it's dumb as hell to make Janus a landlord but 'rent' is usually 'buy me dinner' or 'be my chess opponent, Virgil keeps refusing to be'). He’s got a port wine stain birthmark.

Virgil - mentally/physically 25 - turned in the early 00's as a teenager - he was attacked by a rogue vampire and struggled to adjust until he met Janus, and then continued to struggle to adjust, but he eventually learned to appreciate that turning got him a friend, which is more than what he used to have. Never outgrew his emo phase and never will.

Ember - Mentally/physically 28 - actually a couple hundred - Janus' adoptive sister, she lives a while away but likes visiting her baby brother. She acts like she's way older than Janus but as far as vampires go she's not that much older. Has a light hearted rivalry going on with Roman and Virgil, her rivalry with Roman is over the top silly and dramatic, her rivalry with Virgil is casually flipping each other off as a greeting. she's albino, dyes her hair for goth reasons, and you decide if her brows are dyed/colored in/shaved and drawn on. her eyes do that thing some albino ppls eyes do where it look red/purple in some lightning when its actually blue, moreso than normal because vampire red tint (she is the dragon witch. dragon witch my beloved)

Roman - mentally/physically 24 - just turned - himbo <3 he was dating Virgil, and it had just been long enough that Virgil was actually going to make it serious and tell Roman about his vampire-ness, though he kept getting nervous and putting it off. Something (car crash? Mugging? idk??) happens and leaves Roman mortally wounded and Virgil is certain that Roman won’t live long enough for an ambulance to arrive so he turns him and then feels awful about turning someone without their permission. Roman adjusts as best he can and forces himself not to dwell because he understands why Virgil did it and frankly he would've done the same if roles were reversed. But if he does think about it too long he dreads the fact that he might outlive his twin. His shirt is Totally Not Bunnicula cause i think its funny

Logan - mentally/physically 25, actually 30 - Born a werewolf - he met Janus by happenstance and when he brought up him and his cousin were looking for a place to live, Janus offered up his yard and Logan had insisted on compensating him for it. Neither Janus or Logan are truly in denial about their feelings for each other but they don’t really discuss it and mildly dodge questions when asked even though it’s like very clear they like each other. They definitely are dating but I don't think they've had a non-emotionally constipated conversation about this. Patton - mentally/physically 25, actually 25 - born a werewolf - when he was young most of his cousins and siblings found him annoying, they were never outright mean, but usually didn’t seem to want to include him, Patton could never be sure if they were actually being nice or if they just didnt want to get in trouble with their parents. His cousin, Logan tolerated him fine though, clearly stating when he was doing something that bothered him and worked through a compromise (autistic besties using direct communication ftw). So Patton would always spend all his time following Logan around at extended pack gatherings. When he got a bit older, he got more confident in his socializing and stopped caring so much about what others thought, his love for pups often made him a defacto babysitter which he didn’t mind, but he was still always closest with Logan. It was only natural that they’d move out as a pack together.

Remus - mentally/physically 24 - just turned - Remus was smart and also stupid.. Smart enough to realize something was off about his brother and stupid enough to not write off the impossible, good thing too, because he was right. He was already suspicious but got his confirmation when he literally walked in on his brother drinking some drunk person’s blood. He of course helped hide the (still very alive, just passed out) body before really asking questions, but when he did ask questions, he kept insisting until he got the basic gist. Including that his brother would outlive him. Naturally he asks to be turned right there and then but all 3 vampires repeatedly refuse. He doesn’t let it go though and when he finds out there are two immortal werewolves who could turn him living in the backyard, he doesnt think twice to find them and ask them. Patton is weak for sob stories so he (with Logan’s begrudging approval) turns Remus and Remus joins their pack.

Worldbuilding: 

werewolf packs are like little groups that live together, made up of actual bio families, close friend group and/or polycules, sometimes a mix of those 3, sometimes not. Werewolf vibes idk. Extended packs are any packs that are any degree biologically connected, which means they get massive. (like a unrelated pack of 3 each have the packs they came from, which then come with packs of their cousins/piblings/grandparents/ect which then come with more packs of cousins/piblings/grandparents/ect from the other side of the family and so on)

vampires and werewolves are functionally immortal, people born as or turned into vampires and werewolves before the age of 25 keep aging as normal until then, and then it slows down significantly, pretty much no one knows how long their lifespan is because they get killed or die from something else long before they make it to old age. They're resistant to being killed but it can happen (see cliche vamp/were killing methods. Crosses don't do anything to them tho.)

Werewolves find it easier to stay as wolves around the time of the full moon and as humans around the time of the new moon, and are often lethargic when trying to go against this. They will typically start to wolf out at any strong emotion, while they can resist this (though it's harder near a full moon) plenty of werewolves (Patton+Remus) just let it happen and deal with getting tangled in their clothing as dogs. (Remus, of course, doesn't care if he's seen nude after shifting but most wolves shift back to human in privacy and try to keep clothes nearby. In werewolf only areas it's p common to half strip and shift, but that's about it)

Vampires' eyes have a red tint to them but not enough to be pointed out by mortals as they'd think it's a trick of the light (insert something scifi-y about reflecting off of blood vessels here)

Both are naturally very protective/possessive(though not toxically so, unless they're like, bad people) but werewolves are extremely social creatures and go into instinct mode when they get too worried about someone in their pack/they consider to be their pack, so much so that they might unreasonably lash out at another packmate because they don't want anyone to touch the one they're worried about. (angst angst angst)

Vampires struggle to control themselves around blood. They can and should eat normal food sometimes but actually need blood frequently to live, can make it a long while on animal blood but still need a human's every so often.

While answering this ask I realized there's no way to talk about this au without writing out an entire plot summary of the fic I'm writing which would kida defeat the purpose of writing it so, uhh... I'll shorten it the best I can? Probably still gonna be a bit long so I'll put it under a cut

Johnny gets bit by a werewolf on the way back from the All Valley (bc that night was already so bad for him why not make it worse?) and basically entirely rejects the suggestion that it could've been a werewolf bc

It wasn't a full moon

He was probably seeing things bc he was so stressed and very injured, it was probably just like. A dog or something

He's had bad sensory days before and yeah this is worse but like its not abnormal (autistic Johnny my beloved <3)

Werewolves aren't real

Tommy continues to believe he's turning into a werewolf bc its Tommy, he's chaotic and stubborn, and Bobby continues to try finding a reasonable explanation bc he's the only one with a braincell, while Dutch and Jimmy are just here to make jokes and be idiots about it.

Over winter break Johnny starts convincing himself it was nothing, but then the first full moon hits and the guys need to try and keep him from going feral with very little success, but eventually they manage to pin him down and he wakes up chained to a tree with a vague recollection of what happened and a very bad headache. Eventually school comes back and he has to figure out how to deal with being a werewolf when he has to spend so much time in close proximity to the boy that publicly humiliated him and for some reason his wolf senses seem particularly attuned to... its probably because he hates him right? Yeah, totally (hint hint nudge nudge)

Well eventually Johnny realizes he probably won't get anywhere trying to control himself if he doesn't confront things head on and get some help staying calm, and the only person that can help with that is... *sigh* Daniel. He starts doing some training with him, learning how to control his anger with kata and other calming exercises, and eventually he realizes he actually... doesn't hate him? And also Mr. Miyagi keeps looking at him and acting weird and holy shit does he know something? He knows something doesn't he?

Idk where I'll go from that point, I might get into the actual KK2 plotline and have Johnny go to Okinawa with them, but I know I want him to expose himself at some point trying to protect Daniel, which would be easier to add with the plot of the second movie than to create another threat for him to fight off, idk tho. Definitely want Miyagi to know things tho lol

So yeah thats the au as it stands so far, I just gotta... put it into words in a way that's less scattered lol

“What are you waiting for?” Alistair’s voice broke through the roar of blood in Mahanon’s ears. “You’re not going to let him live after everything that he’s done? Kill him, already!”

Mahanon hesitated, staring down at the man before him. The fabled General Loghain. The Teyrn. The man who had chased out Orlesian forces from Ferelden and reestablished the royal line. The father of the Queen. His grip on the hilt of his sword trembled as he heard Riordan’s words ringing in his head. Slowly, and knowing that he would not be forgiven, he drew away. “I accept your surrender.”

“What?!” Alistair demanded. A hand gripped back of his gorget and spun him around, and Mahanon found himself face-to-face with his fellow Warden. “After everything that he has done? Are you mad?! What are you thinking?!”

“He will undertake the Joining,” Mahanon said, though the words were heavy on his tongue. He looked up at Alistair and found only rage reflected back at him, but he was not sure to which of them it belonged. “If he dies, your vengeance is sated. If he lives, we have gained a general. We need more Wardens to face the Archdemon.”

“Absolutely not!” Alistair snarled, letting go of him. “This man abandoned our brothers and then blamed us for the deed! He hunted us down like animals! How can we simply forget that? Joining the Wardens is an honor, not a punishment! Name him as a Warden and you will cheapen us all! I will not stand next to him as a brother; I refuse.”

“Loghain is a traitor,” he continued. “We need him like we need to be stabbed in the back. Or have you forgotten how his being a great general didn’t help us last time?”

“So that is it, then?” Mahanon asked. “Is it you or him?”

“Yes. This is not what Duncan died for! This is not the way that he would have chosen! He would have understood; he of all people knew what a great honor it is to be a Warden! It is not the place for traitors or murderers!”

“How quaint,” Mahanon said. “In the eyes of Denerim, I am both of those.”

Alistair blustered. “Don’t twist my words. You know that isn’t what I meant—”

“No, I know exactly what you meant, Alistair!” Mahanon snapped. “You cannot put aside your need for revenge to understand what is really at stake here! Did the Landsmeet mean anything to you? Were you listening? Now is not the time for petty grudges! Now is the time for everyone to make a stand against the Blight. If we do not work together with all the help we can get—regardless of where it is from—we are all going to die!”

“And don’t you speak to me of Duncan,” he continued. “He would be making the same choice were he here right now. You heard him! You knew him best! Grey Wardens are always the ones to do what has to be done! But you can’t! You never have, Alistair! From the very start you have left me to make all of the hard choices! I made the decision at Redcliffe! I spared us from the blood magic! I lost my eye to the werewolves! I solved the inheritance crisis in Orzammar! I found the Ashes of Andraste! And at every turn, where were you?!” He thrust a finger against Alistair’s breastplate with each word.

“You were too busy abdicating responsibility to me to take a damned look at yourself.” Mahanon paused only to draw in a breath. “Nothing I did ever pleased you, Alistair, but you never stepped up to the hard choices. You were content to step aside and blame only me. So, I ask you one more time. Must it be you or him?”

Silence once more. In his peripheral vision he noticed that Loghain had risen to his feet. Zevran and Leliana were circling the teyrn like his own dual shadows, knives at the ready. Alistair stared at Mahanon, red-faced, until he spat his answer as though it were poison.

“Yes. If you let him undergo the Joining, then I walk away. I will take the throne if it is what will bring Loghain to justice.”

Mahanon’s blood immediately went cold. He stood upright. “So be it. Pity that this is the first choice you have made for yourself, Alistair. I thought that you never wished to be king.”

Alistair’s regard was just as chilly. “I thought that you were not going to stab me in the back. Funny how nothing ever turns out like you thought.”

“Funny indeed,” said Mahanon. “When all of this is over, king or otherwise, I hope to never see you again.”

Alistair shoved past him, trying to knock his shoulder, but Mahanon held firm. “Consider the sentiment shared.”

“Get far from me, Alistair.” Mahanon glanced back over his shoulder at his retreating form. “You are a traitor to the Grey Wardens, and the punishment for that is death.”

Isekai. Well, more specifically, reincarnation isekai. I know it’s popular but I just hate it. Do you know how many times I start reading a fantasy story that could genuinely stand on its own as it is, and the main character suddenly goes “you know I’m not actually the princess, I’m actually a 28 year old woman from 2022 who was hit by a bus and reincarnated into the body of my favorite fantasy character” and then the fact they’re actually from 2022 has almost nothing to do with the plot? Aggggh! Sorry, I could go on forever.

I like to collect my questions, so I don't spam your askbox every time a random thought pops into my head. Instead, I just do one big spam because apparently I collected way more questions than I expected, ups. The Angel Neil AU is just so cute, I want to grab its (metaphorical) cheeks and squeeze them. It's also sad, and funny, and interesting, and you balance it all in such a nice way. I've also always had a thing for otherworldly beings, so it just all adds to my obsession for this perfect creation. Anyway, here it goes.

Can angels be re-assigned if they don't like their protectee? Like, if they really really hate them. Does Neil ever get cold? Can he just manifest an outfit, or does he have to physically change (could he manifest the angel outfit that Andrew has been daydreaming about hehe)? Can he teleport? For example, if Andrew was in danger and he was far away (i.e. on a roof), would he have to physically walk/fly there? Can he phase through walls? Can Neil see other guardian angels around, or would they also have to "turn off" their invisibility? Does he always have to be within a specific radius of Andrew? How far high has he flown? Does he have to breathe? Has he touched the clouds? Have Aaron, Nicky, and Kevin all talked amongst themselves about Andrew's absences? Or has each one just noticed separately? Has Kevin noticed? If so, what does he think of it? Speaking of Kevin, how is he feeling lately? I hope Kevin has a guardian angel somewhere too, the poor guy deserves it.

Answers for your questions under the cut because this is almost 900 words and I don't want to block everyone's dashes because most people probably don't care.

Yes, I think that angels could be reassigned! If absolutely necessary. Because imagine changing your charge and the new one is worse! And you’re stuck with this shittier one till it dies? And if you let it die on purpose, you lose your job and stop existing? Like… D: Yikes either way.

But, most angels don’t talk to their charges. They watch from overhead and intervene when they need to. During down time, most angels generally just hang out with other angels. But… Neil doesn’t know that. And even if he did, he’d rather be with Andrew than some random winged bitch. You know?

Neil can and does get cold/hot!

Neil is still wearing the outfit he died in. He could probably use his Angel Powers to create different clothes, but he doesn’t know how. And besides, these clothes are fine. (Me: You died in them, Neil. / Neil: But they’re comfortable.) But yeah! If he really wanted to, nothing is stopping Neil from popping into the mall and stealing some clothes. Like…  he’s stolen before. And he’s invisible now. It would be so easy. He just doesn’t care to.

If Neil asked, Andrew would buy him more clothes and bring them up to the roof. But as we know Neil has a hard time asking for anything. So he won’t. 

Yes. Neil can just PING to Andrew. (Mild spoiler for a much later part of the fic so skip to the next paragraph if you want to avoid! Before they met, Neil wasn’t a great guardian angel. He thought of being an angel as his second chance at life and wandered around doing whatever he wanted. Until he first felt that pull and realized Andrew needed him. And he popped right to him.)

Neil generally just follows Andrew however his human is traveling. If Andrew is walking to class, Neil walks beside him. If Andrew is in a car or on the team bus, Neil sits on top of the vehicle. He’s thought about taking a free seat in the bus, but he’s afraid he’ll accidentally Become Visible and freak Andrew out. So he hasn’t done it yet.

I hadn’t really thought about it, but why not? :) He can be invisible, he should get other Ghost Qualities. So, sure. He can walk through walls, disappear, and fly! (Sorry for the Danny Phantom reference. But not really.)

Neil hasn’t seen any other angels around. He will eventually! (I’m not sure if they’re purposely hiding from him or not.)

He doesn't have to be in a specific radius of Andrew. There's no limit to how far away he can be and he tested it a lot when he was first given to Andrew.

He enjoys flying, but he never strays too far. At least, not since that first Incident. Sometimes when he’s bored out of his mind, he’ll go up, up, up and glide back down until he gets tired of that. But it stretches his wings and he can see all sorts of things from so high up. :) 

Neil does breathe. He probably doesn't have to have to, but it's a habit carried over from his human life so he still does.

He probably flew through some clouds early on. I imagine learning to fly on your own would be difficult, so controlling the Come Down Aspect would’ve been challenging for him.

Oh yeah, I think they’ve all definitely noticed. And Aaron keeps asking the others about it, but they of course have no idea where Andrew’s been going so they just shrug. Kevin also hates that Andrew keeps disappearing, because hello. This man is supposed to be his partner now, at his side and keeping him safe/sane. But he knows that all he has to do is call Andrew and he’ll come back. So he’s not that worried. Nicky thinks Andrew has met someone, either a girlfriend or a friend group, and he’s happy for him. 

Kevin is feeling alright lately. His hand is getting better by the day and the team is… Well, it’s not getting Worse. So he can’t complain too much. Also, he does have a guardian angel. :)

Hi my dear anons and moots! I've been dead for like maybe a week now? but yes like what my last pole suggested I have been dying countless times trying to plan out the first draft of the K birthday fic and now I am writing the final draft.

There is 20 parts to it that i've divide on the first draft but obviously you won't be able to tell since i'll be adding several small sub-titles in between random paragraphs (that have nothing to do with the divided parts pattern btw)

The fic has a lot to do with the dark moon webtoon (anddd nothing will probably come off accurate from the original webtoon cuz i don't even read it ToT so just take note of that) Everyone is mentioned in their irl names rather than character names. Yes there will be mentions of Sooha, Enhypen and &Team.

The fic mostly focus on the rollercoaster storyline (i wouldn't call it that bc my storyline is like tornado rn and me trying to put it in words is also very tornado-style and lets not talk about how the story is very anti-climatic )#greatadvertising - soooo there won't be too much smut involved. Just like one smut scene.

I tried my best to make the reader role interesting but also not-pick me at the same time. (Hopefully it does not come off as a pick-me cuz I would fall to my death if it did)

Reader isn't human btw. She's not some human with a supernatural power (AHEM- SOOHA) i don't want her to be so overpowered and special. Maybe y'all can take a guess what her identity is? (vampires, werewolves and humans - She's none of the mentioned ones)

Since I'm drawing some more Red Beans stuff, I think it's VERY important that I start breaking down Lupines (or at least some context to them). Most of this is prob confusing and can best be summed up as "JUST TAKE MY WORD FOR IT AND IF YOU GET CONFUSED JUST ASK ME"

Lupines are my story universe equivalent to werewolves. That means they're basically Rockyfied werewolves where I do whatever I desire with them and spice them up for my specific fav flavor of creature.

They originate from Lore, the planet Beanstalked takes place on, but after the great division event (when Earth and Lore officially split apart) some winded up on Earth where they basically evolved and adapted into the more standardized werewolf you expect. Lupines live primarily on Lore and Werewolves live primarily on Earth.

The biggest difference between a Lupine and a Werewolf, besides some features Lupines have an amalgamation of other creatures aside from wolves in them due to being classified as dragons, is that a Lupine has in total 3 forms verses a werewolf 2.

The three forms for a Lupine are their default, feral, and were while werewolves only have human and were.

And Lupine wereforms are very LARGE compared to a werewolf wereform which is much smaller due to evolution leading to them having to shrink in size to better fit into human society. Lupine wereforms could rival a larger dragons due to the way Lore works where there is much more space and magic.

The default form for a Lupine is also relatively human in appearance save for the pointy furred ears, darker colored nose, sharp teeth, and tail. Basically, there are way more pronounced monstrous features because in Lore, there is a much larger variety of mythical beings around so there is less of a necessity to blend into human.

Werewolves, on the other hand, look much more human with their features only coming out when they are midshifting. With werewolves living on Earth, it's WAY more important that they blend in with humans because you know how we get with shit we don't understand. ESPECIALLY with certain shit looking very similar to creatures from horror films that eat us.

Lupines cannot bite people and turn them into a Lupine. However, there is a special kind of magic involved with Lupines that is a bit of a protection spell that they can cast when they imprint on a soul mate where they give them a crumb of their abilities. This is usually limited smaller things like sharper canines, the ability to imitate more Lupine-like sounds such as growling, purring, trilling, etc. Nothing too big. This is mainly to add more self defense to a mate and for more intimate bonding.

The werewolf version of this ability is much more on point with the side effects of being exposed to a werewolf we'd expect where they can only cast said spell after biting or scratching someone of their choice. Sadly, due to Earth's less friendly interactions with the magical than Lore's, the original loving intent of this spell still remains but some werewolves have resorted to using it as a curse and raise it's efficiency to creating other werewolves.

You will def see me toss around the phrasing of werewolf for Nana even though she is a Lupine (specifically half human and half Lupine) but it's to make things simpler than having to constantly explain what a Lupine is to new people.

She's still part of British intelligence in this AU, she still has to do all the shit with the Syndicate except ! The Syndicate in this AU sort of . doubles as a weird cult-like vampire coven. I'm taking any and all chances to make the Syndicate weirder than it already is ! ilsaaaaa you're not like the other vampires - Ethan is a werewolf, of course. He was born as a werewolf as opposed to bitten and turned ! He doesn't hide his being a werewolf and that costs him. The IMF is, on the surface, accepting of supernaturals but in reality, they have a sort of "supernatural agents are to be controlled, not trusted" policy. This is Totally my excuse to have them restrain and muzzle Ethan mi3-style on full moons so I can draw werewolf!Ethan with the restraints btw - Yeah yeah yeah werewolves and vampires don't like each other . who cares . Ethan and Ilsa do like each other actually (like. a lot. they're literally making out btw) - Benji and Luther are humans! Ethan isn't part of a traditional werewolf pack but where it matters, they're his pack ! The mi1 team was the closest thing to an actual pack that he had, most of them were werewolves, but . they're dead so rest in pieces LOL - I like to think Ilsa's lived experiences kind of affected her perception of romance, they affected her morals, her view on life etc etc so I can't see Ethan and Ilsa being in a Traditional relationship here, they're more. qpr coded, not that they'd ever know what that means LMAO. All in all, fuck labels, they're quite happy as they are! They are simply everything to each other, nothing else quite matters

so arson is a sort of urban fantasy where there is that split between the world regular people know and the supernatural/magical world - one of the main characters, Jai (he's a witch), describes it as "The difference between the real world and what everyone thinks is the real world, is a pair of figurative open eyes. Once you see, you know."

There's 6-ish main characters: Jai, Ira, Nancy, Orli, Kauri + i guess Seftan

and then some good side characters are: Vince, Beau + David

The basic gist of the story is that theres this group of people who are trying to find immortality, as one does, and they develop this ritual of sorts: kill a supernatural and take their life force before the earth can claim it.

By doing this theyre upsetting the balance of nature or whatever and slowly (so slowly no one notices at first) it begins to affect the local magic scene. Werewolves senses dull, dryads cant feel as much of the bush, witches struggle with harder spells etc and then one night, this evil group picks the wrong sacrifice: Ira.

Ira...who is half-possessed by this very old sorta eldritchy creature that wont let him stay dead.

So they find this guy, drenched in blood and rain (for reasons) and they grab him and kill him but when they try to take his life force theres nothing there to take (the creature absorbs it when he dies and gives it back when it decides its safe to) and the ritual sort of backfires and all the power slams into the earth and sends this huge shockwave through town which is felt by every single supernatural/magic creature and finally alerts everyone that something weird is going on.

The reason this specific group of characters are the main cast is bc they all know each other through other people? Ira is a regular at the coffee shop that Orli's family owns (she works there) and Orli has a crush on Nancy who is Seftans niece. Seftan owns a magic shop where Jai works and Kauri is their magical plant supplier.

So when shit hits the fan (*eyeing Jai* or when the avocado hits the ceiling in some cases) Seftan tells Jai about what happened to him and Nancy, and Kauri comes storming in raving about their garden. Nancy overhears Orli's thoughts about what happened to her family, and ends up inviting her over for the family dinner where they were all gonna discuss what they think caused it all. They decide to try find where the shockwave originated and thats where they find and meet Ira who is freshly back from the dead <3

The story then continues with the 5 of them (and sometimes Seftan) trying to figure out who and what happened, while they commit a bunch of crimes in order to do so. (Ive been keeping a tally, and in literally just the prologue, three crimes are committed/implied, including murder).

Them all finding out what exactly the goal is for the bad guys and Ira laughing really tiredly and saying "Immortality isnt that great." and Nancy quietly hugging him

Beau and Ira realising they knew each other when Beau was alive and everyone slowly realising that they have no idea how old Ira is (beau died in the 1880's)

Jai and Ira becoming best friends, like people-think-theyre-in-love levels of best friend even though they dont see each other like that bc Jai is totally in love with Kauri and wont admit it

(Ira's name used to be Milo and i think you might be able to find some old posts about him somewhere, i can try find them and link them here tho.)

How the actual magic itself interacts with the regular world is like,,, dragons owning/running the local museum or art galleries, dryads and other plant/natures based creatures running florsists or gardening services or being landscapers, a family of werewolves running a cafe that lets you bring your pets inside etc

Like, Seftan owns and runs a magic shop that, to regular people, is like your run-of-the mill hippy-like store that offers tarot readings and crystals but to people In The Know its a place to get actual real magical ingredients or information; people in the know will get real answers from Seftans readings where regular people get what they want to hear.

The Quarry was great. The ending felt abrupt and rushed, but overall, it was nice. Spoilers ahead.

I’m sad we couldn’t save Silas without ending everyone else, but then again, it seems like the Hag has no remorse over Silas killing those kids, so kinda earned? I mean, who in their right mind would cage their son and show to other people for money? 

Laura and Max <3 She’s a determined badass that went through hell for her boyfriend, he’s a genuine kid that loves her. Het couples that I like are rare, but those are it. I’m sad there wasn’t much of Max (but the crop top! :D Genius.)

Dylan is cute. I liked how he wants to major in quantum physics (?), yet he tried to stay open minded once Laura showed up and told them about the story. I wonder how different he would’ve been with Ryan in his usual life

Nick is cute, too, but kissing Emma back like that was... huh?

Ryan is very, VERY flat. I liked him at first and how he tried to stay reasonable, but then it kinda got old. “Mister H this, Mister H that. Those trail cams are probably nothing, everything is fine.” C’mon, Ryan, think! It was very weird how the game pushed Ryan on Laura (she has a boyfriend whom she loves? huh?) after flirting with Dylan for so long. I genuinely thought it was a joke until I saw people complaining about it and going further toward the end. It felt so fake when Dylan and Kaitlyn were discussing it, “I guess we know know his type.” Hello?? You two were kissing? You crushed hard on Ryan & smiled like a happy kid after the kiss, but suddenly you were ok with that? Idk, it was a VERY weird turn. Then forcing Dylan & Kaitlyn together? HUH?! Not to mention Ryan and Kaitlyn, god damn it. F o r c e d. And what’s with censoring Ryan and Dylan’s kiss? I guess the developers want us to be grateful it was available in the first place (ngl, i was afraid it wouldn’t be possible and they’re just queerbaiting us), but still. Either way, they all fell apart & why would you introduce this in the first place?

Emma is a bitch, no doubt about it. Not only because of that kiss (Hey Abi, you should totally go for Nick! Also watch me devouring his face), but when she and Abi were in the basement, she was like, “Go find something to do, some light, do something!” Huh? If you need that, go do that yourself. Abi was determined to stay in the basement until morning without doing anything. Also the vlogging in the middle of... everything. God damn it. Emma is basically gaslight & manipulate type of person. Ew.

Jacob is a big dumb puppy. Annoying in the opposite to Emma’s way. Who breaks the car on purpose to stop the entire group from leaving?!

The Hacketts are assholes & they all deserved to die. Constance and her husband first. Kayle (? C. granddaughter) seemed to have good intentions & if Silas was killed earlier, she would’ve probably deserved to have a better life. Still, who fucking brings kids to a summer camp when all your family is werewolves that can and WILL hurt the children at the first chance? The idea of it itself makes me roll my eyes.

Overall, the werewolves could’ve looked cooler, but that muzzle, and sharp teeth, and long tongue, and red/yellow eyes deserve to exist as one of the versions of werewolves, I think. Reminded me of werewolves in Harry Potter in the first place. Ne recognition of their loved ones or what they’ve done whatsoever.

BREAKING NEWS! A Beloved (or not) Hunter Back!

Once upon a time, the Midnight Underground was nearly united under the banner of the Mortalis due to the Veteran. Crazy to think about, right? Well the situation now is that our valiant would be hero has arrived back in Las Vegas. After the mysterious and frankly whack death of Kenneth Talbot and both his children, kind of weird to think this guy would be willing to show his face around with an angry pack of werewolves wanting a chance of a fight. Or a bite. It’s going to be a yikes from me. And probably my cowriter who’s not too keen on seeing this guy around. Neither was the Wolf who was spotted arguing with him outside Pete’s. Former family drama sucks. Probably going to be a messy Christmas. Biggest question though: do we think he’ll pay up and walk again or is he planning to fuck around and find out?

To Carve or Not to Carve (And Other Halloween Tragedies)

Halloween is always a good time for everyone involved. With Filthy Fenrir closed for renovations, we have to look elsewhere to see what other wicked tricks were happening around to. We all know about the winners but let’s talk losers. Let’s talk horrible failures for the night.

Pumpkin Town didn’t have the worst showing but it looked to me like that Changeling was having a bad time. Let’s chalk it up to nerves - haven’t seen them around before so they might just be new in town. La Fortuna was even wilder though. How can you play so bad at a game of luck? I think even I could do better than our friendly neighborhood Wizard. The costume contest had Hollis giving out 9s like they lost the other numbers, but that Siren was nothing but très bad if you ask me. I’ll have to ask for some hair styling tips when I’m feeling generous. Practically everyone tried to poison Karlha at the Carmilla, but you almost have to show mad respect to the Tainted served what I have to assume was a cup of water. 

Speaking of that hottie though: any chance I could get your number?

Our Mandatory Gossip Column

The Fae was up to nothing but trouble. She was seen disappearing with our Changeling early on in the evening and then later chasing after the Wolf into the super not a corn maze. This is suspect as fuck if you ask me. Do I sense a love triangle brewing off in the distance? This girl cannot stop getting herself into trouble because after her win at La Fortuna I saw her talking with her ex, the Oracle. 

Is it a love square at this point or are we moving into the sixth dimension with this fucked up confusion? On the other hand, who isn’t sleeping with each other in the Underground? I’ve always wanted to fuck like a fairy on acid.

Boring Politics is Boring

Chapter 472 - So is there a reason why Raizel's brother says his whole name? I know that the lord and noblesse have that 'the entire thing is our first and last name' thing going on but even mvp lord just calls his daughter Raskreia. Is the brother just being an annoying older brother and using his whole name in a scolding way? Or is it just because he's being murdered?

- Wow the werewolves with their tiny population just had it halved after all the culling already occurring over 820 years from experimentation. How many people are left now? 100? 200?

- W-why is Kentas going upwards? Is there a sky city I'm unaware of? Are there actually winged werewolves that I should know about? Surely Kentas could leap in like, the direction he's heading for without going upwards that much.

Chapter 473 - Suddenly I'm illiterate. Why could Raskreia be blushing? No clue. Love Kei knowing jackshit though.

Chapter 474 - I like how neither Frankenstein nor Gechutel approve of the idea of Raizel and Raskreia being together.

Chapter 475 - Also Seira immediately jumping in to make fun of Regis sjjsjsis. "Regis has always been single. May the lord strike me down if I lie." And Regis not even registering it as a joke because Seira is likely saying it seriously.

- Obviously Rael is gonna kill either the lord or noblesse with Kartas to prevent Gechutel's fears. Why are you so dumb Karias 🙃

Chapter 476 - The way Shinwoo studies Raizel after Raskreia says he loves the time he spends with the kids... totally different meaning when you hc he's a noble <3

- So Karias is the only one in the household with love experience 🤣 Everyone else either doesn't get it or is a weirdo like Frankenstein. Also he tells Rael to stay away from Seira :)

- Grandpa is so fucking embarrassing.

Chapter 478 - Raizel using Muzaka as his gofer... Lmao.

Chapter 479 - Contradictory flashback time! Why is there a peaceful moment where Ashleen and Muzaka visit the Noblesse manor where the latter reveals that the former is his daughter? I'll just have to take it as Raizel fantasising about an alternate life where this happened instead of her death.

- Why does Garda get a default suit outfit btw? I actually think she looks good in it but you'd think she'd be given more casual clothes. Or maybe she chose this over whatever skimpy female clothes Crombel has...

Chapter 481 - Yeaaaah still hc that Muzaka transferring his power did nothing to help. Power /= Lifespan for anyone outside the noblesse after all. Ashoka doing it with Ragnarok is different since he just straight up gave Raizel his soul how romantic.

- Anyway I get why he did it this way but isn't making Raizel fight then transferring power kinda dumb? What if all your power is only equivalent to all the lifespan he used up in this fight?

- Muzaka's a very good actor btw. Better than Maduke imo. Like everyone knows the latter is an evil asshole. There are 0 people who are not wary of him unless brainwashed.

Chapter 482 - Garda's love (not romantic) and admiration for Muzaka is so deep and it makes me sad.

- Anyway did I rip my tragic hc backstory for Raizel's brother partly from this? Yes. But not exactly obviously. The nuances and circumstances are different. The aftermath on Raizel's psyche is the exact same though :)

Chapter 483 - Okay I know he wasn't the one who killed Gradeus but it is funny seeing every traitor except him.

Chapter 484 - 'that not even his species is known for' huh? Are you not a werewolf too mr. scientist on werewolf island? I guess not since Kentas says he'll give the guy the support of all his species.

- Oh. No in person meetings for 50 years?? So no recent Union pool parties either? At least, not between the Elders? That's so sad :( But actually... nah the Elders probably did come to any relevant Union parties or upper echelon human parties when they felt like it. Parties aren't the same as meetings after all. Or at least Lunark, Urokai, and Zarga showed up to Third Elder's pool parties. Four ppl party. They're friends <3

- And First Elder is here. Meh.

Chapter 485 - I feel like some of the other Elders did probably know about First Elder coughUrokaiwithhischokeholdonUnionfinancescough but they didn't care. Also all this does mean he's only been in the position for 50 years max or that Haydn has always been covering for him since he became First Elder, even in person, if more than 50 years.

- Amusingly enough, the room bg designs have gotten better now that it doesn't particularly matter to have them with the constant fighting. I do appreciate it though. Better than whatever tf Yuna's home was and the one (1) room in the noblesse manor. Like Raizel pls put more furniture in there.

Chapter 486 - The manhwa throneroom with the elevated throne area (stairs, platform, pillars, floaty blue diamonds) and straight red carpet, the anime throneroom with the fancier carpet and throne combined with the manhwa throne (so gold with red plush but dragon armrests. though only actually for ashoka and raskreia since I like to think that lords have personalised thrones for their reigns), the anime lord's sanctuary with its chessboard style floor and mosaics, and my own design where the entire walls and ceiling are just mosaics aside from one layer of glazed windows, thus bathing the throneroom in multicolour light in the day, is how I imagine it. It does ofc mean that the throneroom is on the topmost floor.

Chapter 487 - Not everyone with red eyes is a noble :/ Some are just emo.

Chapter 488 - Geo!! Considering her clothes/accessories compared to her skin colour I'll always hc that she's from a minority group in China.

Chapter 490 - King of the humans... so fucking lame.

- I can't be bothered by righteous anger when it comes from some rich white prick like First Elder. Because it's people like him who worked with the werewolves and traitor nobles to hurt other humans in the first place.

Chapter 491 - I do want to point out that the other Elders were also all :/ at Maduke destroying random human areas. Canonically they probably didn't care about the people and just that it was Maduke who did it but. Yeah. Seriously though, Maduke is so bad at politics. No wonder the only times he got what he wanted is when others wanted something from him too like with the Muzaka Raizel fight or with humans wanting werewolf sponsorship.

Sidenotes - The last episode of the anime was utter shit but the anime did give me one of my fav noblesse bgs. It's just such a nice room.

- Just like how I imagine lords have personalised thrones, I also imagine that there is a room in the castle with special multimedia mosaic paintings for each lord representing them/their rule. The frame is created based on their likes (Kalidasa's is a strange black and white amalgation, Chinasa has a simple wooden frame he made himself, Mai has a really pretty and fancy jewelled one comissioned by Chinasa using jewels he found himself, Al-Kahina's is carved detailed wood made by Hesediel, Gentilus has a detailed Agvain metalwork frame, Ashoka's is a strange one that glows white always so you can't tell what the material it is or how it actually looks, Raskreia has an ornate gold one made/commissioned by her family, Helia and Lan Yue's is ofc shared if Lan Yue exists and is ornate wood and metal with silver gold veins) while the mosaic/painting itself is enchanted so it comes into being over the course of the lord's reign. Each piece has the lord, their version of Ragnarok and symbolic representations of important things in their rule or personality.

- First and Third Elder's relationship will forever make me uncomfortable because of how it reminds me of master/slave, caste, racial, etc dynamics. Easiest way to solve this would be if Raizel had been dark skinned lol.

The Wild Side Of Me Chapter 1

Is been already a year since Tolys and Alfred start it dating each other. They’ve been happy together. They got to know each other thanks to Alice and Feliks, with whom both of them are friends with. At the beginning, it was only just the four of them hanging out together. But later, more people joined their group. Alfred’s siblings, Matthew and Rose along with her boyfriend Vash, Audrey and Roderich who were close friends to Alice and Feliks, and Gilbert, Tolys’s close friend. Some months later, Tolys and Alfred start it dating each other, and honestly they were an amazing couple, always having each other’s back and being really supportive of themselves. It was one of those sunny days, they went to a park together, along with Feliks and Alice. They were walking around, chatting with each other and listening to the birds singing, until Alfred proposed his lover a race. "I don’t know, sweetheart. Are sure you really want to?" asked the Lithuanian man. "Oh, come on Tolys. It will be fun." said the American. Tolys looked at Alice and Feliks. "Come on bro. There’s nothing wrong about a friendly rivalry between lovers." said Alice. "True, me and Alice like totally also happens to have friendly rivalry with each other from time to time as well." said Feliks. Tolys smiled and noded. The lovers got into positions. Alice gave them the count down from 3. After they heared her shouting:"go!", they start it running. At the beginning, Alfred had the upper hand, but a few seconds later Tolys caught up to him. "On your left." said the Lithuanian and passed his lover. The race end it and Tolys was the winner. "Damn, honey. You’re pretty fast. Congratulations. Also, was that a Marvel reference?"asked Alfred with a big grin on his face. "Not my fault. You’re the one who got me addicted to those movies." joked the Lithuanian. "And I don’t regret it, doing so."said Alfred and pulled Tolys into a kiss on the lips. "Ummmm, guys. We are also here, you know." said Feliks, sarcastically. They broke their kiss. "Sorry guys. Anyway, how about we get some ice cream?"asked Tolys.

"Actually, that’s a pretty good idea. Especially that today is pretty hot." answered Alice. And the group went to the closest ice cream track. Alice took mint ice cream with chocolate chips, Feliks vanilla flavor, Alfred bubble gum flavor and Tolys strawberry flavor. After getting their ice creams, they went to sit next to a lake and start it playing a game of guess, while eating. "Alright. I’m big, my skin is green, I’m really strong and I like to smash." said Alice. "Oh, I know. You’re Hulk." said Alfred. "I was about to say that." said Tolys. Alfred smiled:"You may be faster than me at running. But I’m faster than you at giving an answer." The Lithuanian stuck out his tongue at his lover playfully. "My turn now. I have white hair that used to be blond, I used to be a prince but became a king, I wield a sword called "Frostmourne" and I wear the Crown of Domination." said Alfred. "Is easy, you’re Arthas Menethil, also known as the Lich King from World of Warcraft."said Tolys. "Good job honey. Your turn now." answered the American. Tolys though for a moment:"Okay, so. I’m big, I have sharp teeth, I have a tail and a lot of fur." "Hmmmmm, is that a werewolf, you’re talking about?" asked Feliks. "Yeah…" answered Tolys. "You know, I don’t wanna be rude but you could choose something better. Not that I don’t find werewolves cool or anything, but I think there are far more interesting characters." said Feliks. A hurt expression appeared of Tolys’s face. "Don’t worry sweetheart. Everyone has their own opinions. I personally think werewolves are awesome though." said Alfred, cheering up his lover. "Thanks Alfred." said Tolys and they continued their game. "Okay, so. My whole body is pink, along with my hair, I have horns on my head, I’m a student who goes to a hero school and my power is acid." said Feliks. "I know who it is. Is Mina Ashido from My Hero Academia."said Alice. "You’re totally correct, my love." answered the Polish man.

They finished their ice creams, but decided to continue the game as they had a lot of fun with it. Before they knew it, it was already sunset. They said goodbye to each other and went back to their houses. The next day, Tolys got a call from his boyfriend while getting ready for work. "Hey sweetheart, how are you doing today? Why are you calling me this early?" asked the Lithuanian. "What do you mean? I can’t call my boyfriend at 6:30 in the morning?"asked Alfred. "Well, you never called me this early before. I know that you prefer to sleep a bit longer." said Tolys. A laugh escaped Alfred’s mouth:"Heh, you got me there. Anyway, I wanted to ask you, would like to go on a date with me on Friday night, please?" "Well, I don’t have to work on that day, so sure. Why not." agreed the Lithuanian. "That’s cool. I promise it will be amazing." said Alfred all excited. "I don’t doubt that honey." answered Tolys. They chatted for a bit and hang up, since Tolys had to go to work. The Friday arrived fast. Alfred was getting ready. "Big brother, why do you need the tent if I may ask?" asked Rose. "Oh. I’m taking Tolys camping in the forest. But he doesn’t know it yet. Is supposed to be a surprise." "I see. So, does that mean me and Vash can have the whole house for each other for a few days?" asked the girl. Alfred looked at her with a smile:"Of course. But please don’t throw a party without my knowledge. Okay?" "Don’t worry. We won’t. Beside, Vash isn’t much of a party person, so." explained Rose. After everything was ready, Alfred waited for his boyfriend in front of the house. When he arrived, Alfred tied a blindfold around his eyes and told him to get in the car. "Alfred, were are we going?" asked Tolys with curiosity. "You’ll see. Is a surprise." said Alfred and kept on driving. After they arrived, he got the blindfold off from his lover’s eyes. "A forest?" asked Tolys. "Yup, we’re gonna camping. So, are you in?" asked the American. "With you, always." answered the Lithuanian.

They put the tent on, put the sleeping bags inside of it and start it a campfire. After everything was ready they layed down on the grass and admired the stars:"The sky is beautiful today, isn’t it?" asked Tolys. "True. And the stars are shinning so bright. But not as bright as your beautiful smile." said Alfred, making his lover blush. They hugged each other and start it kissing. After the kiss, they looked at the stars again in silence. A moment later, Alfred decided to break that silence:"And you know what’s even better? We’ll even get to admire the full moon tonight." Suddently a scared look appeared on Tolys’s face:"Did you say, full moon?" "Yes, that’s what I said. Why?"asked Alfred. "Oh God, I totally forgot about it."thought the Lithuanian and got up. "Alfred, I reminded myself of something and I really have to go." said Tolys and start it quickly walking away, but got grabbed by the hand by his lover:"Please don’t go honey. I really wanted to spend that time with you alone." "I’m sorry Alfred. But I can’t." said Tolys trying to get away from his lover’s grip. "Tolys please don’t leave." begged Alfred. Tolys finally freed his hand. He looked at Alfred. He felt bad about leaving his boyfriend, but he didn’t have a choice. He start it running away but then tripped and fell. "Tolys!" shouted Alfred. The full moon got revealed. Suddently something start it happening to Tolys. His pupils start it to change and his teeth have gotten sharp. "Tolys, are you alright?" asked the American worried for his boyfriend. Suddenly, a smoke appeared around Tolys. After it disappeared, it revealed a werewolf in the place where Tolys was. Alfred was shocked. The beast start it howling to the moon. After he stopped, he turned his head around to look at Alfred, with sadness in his eyes. Alfred recognized that look. It was still Tolys, his boyfriend. But he was, a werewolf?
