Hopefully we’ve learned that gender reveal parties are dumb, but if you simply must have one, a cake is a much better idea than anything involving pyrotechnics. Even the tackiest “tractors or tiaras” style cakes do not carry the risk of causing several million dollars in property damage.

Anyways here are some things I love about my niece + her parents. Thank u for asking

~ when my sil makes her repeat "I am strong, I am smart, I am loved, I am beautiful" which comes out more like "I am shtwong, I am shmart, I am yuved, I am butiful"

~ her very curious nature and ability to remember. Idk about other 2 year olds but I'm pretty impressed when she can tell me what a blimp is, and say "creschent moon" and know it's phases

~ her tender and empathetic nature. When another kid cries, she helps. A kid was crying and so she went to share her cookies (at the same time my sil is just like. Please don't carry the worries of the world in your shoulders yet child...) which, yes

~ when she says "i have to twyyyyy" when doing something, killing me instantly

~ her love of books and reading

~ the fact that when she cries, it isn't for very long and you can reason with her and distract her. Today, she was crying because she wasn't being allowed to watch more TV and we all sat down and took some deep breaths together to calm down. Love that she's being handed tools to deal with emotions already

~ my brother and sil dont force her to hug, touch etc if she doesn't want and she freely says no, even if it's with them and they feel loving. The results ends up being that she comes to us anyways and gives us hugs and kisses when she wants. We do sometimes ask if we can get a hug or kiss but if she says no, it's respected

~ she's a lil daredevil and loves to climb, run, and be an active energetic kid

~ she has all kinds of interests and isn't steered towards "girlish" activities. She loves construction and tractors and "diggers" but also tiaras and nailpolish and cooking. The world is my baby's oyster

~ when she pretends to sleep and snores only to "wake up" to "scare" us is fking adorable

Day 18(2/10/20): SSSniperwolf

Another laidback Monday and what better way to spend the evening than to catch up on homework. I decided to work on my self portrait project for my Illustration class, and put the finishing touches on it. When I grind through a project for hours I decide to take a small break and watch some YouTube videos.

Once of my favorite YouTubers at this time is Lia or better known as SSSniperwolf. She’s the type of youtuber to create content on what ever she feels like doing. At the start of her channel she did a lot of COD gameplay and to this day does some Fortnite videos. For the most part, she posts reaction videos. This ranges from her reacting to cheap people on TLC, spoiled girls on Dr. Phil, and testing viral TikTok hacks to name a few.

The episode I watched today involved her reacting to a compilation of gender reveal fail videos. The video starts of with various cakes that have mediocre writing on them from, “Tractors or tiaras?,” to “Team curls or team clippers.” By half way there were clips of boys crying after finding out that their having a sister and vise versa. Lastly, the biggest fail was a father who created a contraption, when hit, releases a blue smoke. In the process the blue smoke spreaded and started a forest fire. The father had to pay $8 million in damages. Big L.

I always enjoy watching Sniperwolf’s videos and I can count on them to cheer me up when I’m having a bad day.

TRIBE SERIES 2 - LATEST REPORT - Week 13

  Production of Tribe Series 2 entered its 13th week from Monday 1st November, 1999. Last week was a busy week for the cast and crew in terms of the production but also some birthday and Halloween parties! There was both exterior location shooting days and interior studio shooting.  The locations included farm lands, fields, barns, deserted streets and alleys, factories, city buildings and offices, crossroads, houses, the countryside, a car park, and a shopping mall.  The furthest location was a distance of about 22 kilometres from the Cloud 9 production centre. In a productive week with lots of scenes there were many additional props used ranging from hay bales, crops, pumpinks, plants, a tractor, trailers, garden tools, a watch, buckets, stools, an abandoned car, phones, bags, metal objects, bin liners, litter and rubbish, brooms, milk, wheelbarrows, sunglasses, masks, boxes, drink cans, a staff, rocks, batteries, a teddy bear, comics, CDs, tomatos, stalls, a dictionary, a pipe, manacles, chairs, sign boards, flasks, glasses, an amulet, herbs, a newspaper, a printer, a computer, a stopwatch, a bowl of water, notebooks and pens, cloths, ointment, crayons, a blackboard, books, a mirror, tiaras, lipstick, and tissues! The animal wranglers had their hands full with a cast including chickens, hens, sheep, dogs, a cow, goats, rats, and a pig. On Monday 1st November the cast and Cloud 9 team get together after the day`s shooting had wrapped to watch the premier of the first episodes in Tribe Series 2.  The second series of the Tribe is being broadcast in the UK and some other countries as hour episodes.  Other countries will show half-hour versions.  The cast and team watched episode 53 and 54 (half-hour versions) which will be broadcast as an hour episode on Channel 5 on November 14th. There has been a lot of press coverage about the Tribe and last week Caleb Ross (LEX) and Meryl Cassie (EBONY) had an interview with the magazine Tearaway.  The cast as a whole also had a big photo shoot on set.  There was a feature on Sarah Major (PATSY) in the New Zealand and Australian edition of Disney Adventures magazine whilst another feature appeared on Ryan Runciman (RYAN) in the TV Guide magazine. Dwayne Cameron (BRAY) celebrated his birthday!  Dwayne has now turned 18 years old and would like to thank everyone for their birthday wishes and letters and emails he has received.  Dwayne will try to reply but in the meantime thanks everyone for thinking of him! On Saturday 30th October there was a party for the cast and Cloud 9 team.  This was to celebrate the production of series 2 passing the half-way point - and coincided with Halloween!  Many of the cast and production team arrived at the party in fancy-dress and Halloween themed costumes - some were hard to recognise with their make-up and costumes! On Tuesday 26th October there was an earthquake throughout New Zealand that measured 6.3 on the richter scale.  That is quite big and the earthquake ran all the way from Auckland in the North Island to Christchurch in the South Island!  However, New Zealand gets earthquakes quite often and is prepared for them - the buildings and roads are designed so they can be as earthquake proof as possible and there was nodamage and injuries. The writing team is now up to episodes in the 90s (out of 102 episodes including Series 2) and have only a few more episodes to write before scripts are completed for the second series. Post-production is going very well and Series 2 looks fantastic. The weather in the 12th week of shooting series 2 (Monday 25th October - Friday 29th October) was: - Monday - cloud and northerly winds - Tuesday - fine but cloudy periods - Wednesday - cloudy and humid with outbreaks of rain.  Strong northerly winds - Thursday - cloudy with light drizzly rain.  Northwesterly winds - Friday - humid northerly winds with occasional gusts and outbreaks of rain

Summer Stories: ‘Many Crowns’ by S. M. Hulse - Sat, 17 Aug 2019 PST

In the final month of her final summer working at Dairy Palace, Debbie Baker’s boss asked her to be the Dairy Princess in the end-of-summer parade. After three-and-a-half years of wearing a black-and-white cowhide-patterned paper crown while dispensing cone after cone of soft-serve every afternoon, it was finally her turn to wear a glittering tiara. After three years of following Sadie Johnson’s horse down the six-block parade route, pitchfork in hand, it was Debbie’s turn to ride and not worry about what her horse left in the road. The request wasn’t a surprise – Sadie, a year older than Debbie, left for college last fall, and the other two Dairy Palace employees were boys – but Debbie grinned and thanked Mr. Shaw. Like most everyone in Tallwheat, Montana, her family attended the parade every year, and one of Debbie’s earliest memories was of she and her brother pushing their way to the front of the crowded sidewalk, competing to see who could catch the most candy thrown from the floats. The excitement of the Fourth of July had long worn off by the time the parade rolled around in late August, and folks poured in from the surrounding towns, eager for one last celebration before the weather turned crisp. They lined the short parade route and cheered enthusiastically for each of the parade entries, but never louder than for the Dairy Princess, who was always positioned right behind the leading banner and ahead of the mayor’s tractor.
