“nobody looks down on housewives, it’s the societal norm.”
then why do i “need a backup plan” and constantly get told people who want a housewife are “just looking for a servant” and that they’ll “never really love me”?

What does the Bible say about dressing modestly, and in a God honoring way?
Well well well, if it isn't me, breaking Christian hearts. I've done it a lot (while being pagan, while being atheist, and now being Christian).
My problem, is that SOO many tradwives on here put looking amazing as their top priority, while calling themselves Christian. Girlies, imma be honest with you. You're full of shit.
I recently saw a post on how to dress nice as a housewife, and omg, literally the first line was to wear accessories.
First of all, it literally say in 1Timothy 2:9-10:
"Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works."
So, HOW to be modest?
A pretty simple question, yet still hard to answer.
1. Be gentle
2. Help people
3. Fear God
4. Be quite ("quick to listen, slow to speak" James 1:19)
(Most of the rules you need to follow, you can find in James' book!)
"Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious."
1Peter 3:3-4
Also, a common misconception I see:
"Dressing modestly for you husband"
No!?!!!? You should dress modestly for GOD. If you're not married, you're in a relationship, OR you are married, your husband is not the one you should be dressing modestly for! It's God!
Dressing modestly is a way to honor God. Covering up is a way to show respect to him.

it's so difficult finding other girls with my views and aspirations, especially given the fact that i live in a densly populated remote area. i wish i had a close knit group of girl friends who would support each other through our journey!

For some years, I’ve been using this recipe to make a cake for eid.
No one can resist a chocolate cake!
In the hot summer eids, i had to keep it cool so that it wouldn’t topple over. But thankfully, today it won’t be that hot!

this is your reminder that wanting to be a housewife, stay at home mom, homemaker, and/or homesteader, does not “hold feminism back”.
not all women want to be leaders or to have a crazy successful career. it’s okay to want the simple life, and to dream of true love, and a traditional lifestyle.
feminism is supposed to be about women having the right to choose what they want do with their life. yes, it’s great that there’s so many women who want to go out into the workforce and become successful in that way.
but that doesn’t mean you aren’t successful if you choose a more traditional lifestyle. love, joy, and happiness are the greatest forms of success humans are capable of. they’re the only forms that hold real substance beyond materialism. if yours comes from a simpler, more traditional life, that’s okay.

friends, does anyone have any recipes for ways to serve steamed cauliflower they'd be willing to share? let me exlain, what my mother does is steam a large quantity of cauliflower at once, which she then places inside a glass container and stores in the refrigerator. then, my father and her usually eat it either plain or with balsamic vinegar, neither of which options is satisfactory to me. so im looking for other easy ways to prepare a serving. i tried it with peanutbutter sauce and it was pretty good. does anyone have any other ideas/altearative? thanks in advance!
