So when I was 15 ( I'm 24 now) I saw this video where the guy said "I've been talking with God for so long that if u look at my life I guess he's talking back " and I have always held it in my mind waiting for the perfect time to say it . Now, I realized I have been blessed with tons of those moments but I haven't noticed them before because I was so cought up with finding a grand win when I was winning all the time through Gods grace. So today I tell u, I've been talking with God for so long that if u look at my life I guess he's talking back.

There should be housewife school where they teach women how to cook, clean, sew, budget, garden, take care of children, etiquette, fitness, fashion, and beauty. Not all girls have mothers and grandmothers to teach them. 🥞🧸

Welcome to my blog♡
I'm a teenage girl trying to improve my life, reclaiming my femininity and girlhood by fixing the damage caused by being exposed to the internet at a young age(4 years old) and being raised by the internet because of my absent parents.
I am returning to Catholicism after becoming an atheist at 11 and struggling with my relationship with God ever since.
I post about my journey on the previously mentioned things, self-improvement and my goals for the future.

“No matter how wise you become or how wise you suppose you are… you have to learn that wisdom comes from everywhere and there are things to be learned from everyone. I will admit, that all people are not meant to teach you and that all people are not meant to be learned from, but also, that sometimes a lesson of wisdom can come from the most unforeseen circumstances and people.. an 80 year old can teach a child, and that same 80 year old can learn something new and something wise, from that same child.”

january 2023 recap + february 2023 goals:
what i learned in january 2023:
taking my time in improving myself. things don’t have to happen overnight. celebrate the little strides i make and actually enjoy the process of the journey instead of only being happy once my goals have been met.
what i accomplished in january 2023:
finally got my car headlights repaired and fixed the registration problem, reapplied to nursing school and another college in the area, applied for a position at the hospital i want to work at in the future, got my hair to a lighter blonde and finally cut off the dead ends. i’m sure there’s more but it’s hard to think of everything so i’ll update this if needed.
what surprised me in january 2023:
that barre workouts and ballet strength workouts are actually really hard and i enjoy those types of workouts than just going to the gym.
the day i remember best in january 2023:
my grandmothers knee surgery day.
the person that played a huge role in my life in january 2023:
my grandmother. she went in for knee surgery last week which sparked my interest for nursing school again.
my best and worst moment in january 2023:
my best moment was when i made money at work and was tipped $1,000 to play beer pong with them (no alcohol in the cups though).
my worst moment was the time i just didn’t keep my apartment clean and i didn’t have the motivation to clean it for a week.
what i wished i had done differently in january 2023:
i wish i stayed more focus with my weight loss goals. it’s really hard going from fast food and exercising once a month to doing everything overnight. i wish i started with smaller goals and then became consistent to achieve the major goal. i also wish i had more of a work routine since i can go to work whenever i want and having that freedom let’s me be lazy whenever i want to (not having discipline).
what i stopped doing in january 2023:
i stopped focusing on dating for now until i have improved myself x10. so guys are no longer a focus for me at the moment.
what i started doing in january 2023:
i started this “personal development + accountability” blog, i started drinking more water, i decided to use better quality hair products to keep my blonde bright, healthy, and pretty, and i started to look a bit more put together (not drastically) whenever i go out.
goals i’d like to achieve for february 2023:
create a work schedule and follow it, even on the days i don’t feel like working
follow the diet/exercise regimen that worked for me before and aim to lose at least 10lbs
get selected for the position i applied for at the hospital’s earn and learn program
finish registering for college/nursing classes
start working on my brand (business)

Three Book Recommendations For Every Black Woman
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Expanding our minds through reading is a great way to elevate ourselves. A person who reads is well-informed, well-spoken, and versatile. My favourite pastime, when I'm not writing, is reading. The following are my book recommendations that I believe every black woman should read.
Book One: Becoming by Michelle Obama.
Michelle Obama has many inspiring words of wisdom for black women. Using the lessons she has learned and the experiences she has encountered as a mother, a wife and the First Lady of the United States, Michelle has written a book that is inspiring, motivating, and empowering for Black women. She gives us this necessary message about evolving as women:
“Becoming is the deeply personal reckoning of a woman of soul and substance who has steadily defied expectations—and whose story inspires us to do the same.“- Michelle Obama
Book Two: Black Is The Body By Emily Bernard.
In Black is the Body, Emily Bernard writes about the multigenerational lessons she has learned from her grandmother, and her mother's experiences as a black woman. She uses storytelling and essay to convey messages about the importance of loving your skin and loving yourself as a black woman.
Book Three: The Defining Decade Why Your Twenties Matter – by Meg Jay.
Your twenties matter. The Defining Decade explains to us why the work we are doing in the present will largely improve and impact our future. This book encourages adolescents and twenty-somethings alike to have faith in the future while also comforting women in their thirties and beyond that life doesn’t end at the end of your thirties: in fact, it often has more potential to elevate.
May these books encourage you to evolve, reclaim your power, love yourself and become intentional this year.

This is your friendly reminder that the Proverbs 31 woman was actually amazing.
This woman ran a household and a business. Not her husband's business, her own. And apparently did extremely well at both those things. We know she was an excellent manager, because she saw to her servants' needs as well as her family's. We also know she was an excellent and successful entrepeneur who actively worked alongside her servants to make her business grow. We even know what kind of businesses she ran: She was a weaver and a vintner.
We know she's a weaver because the scriptures specifically describe her working with wool and flax, which is the raw material for linen, and turning it into fabric that she sells at a healthy profit and uses to clothe her entire household. From the NRSV-CE:
"[13] She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands."
"[19] She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle."
"[21] She is not afraid for her household when it snows, for all her household are clothed in crimson. [22] She makes herself coverings; her clothing is fine linen and purple."
"[24] She makes linen garments and sells them; she supplies the merchant with sashes."
That last bit in verse 22 about purple is significant, because it's almost certainly talking about royal purple, which was the single most expensive dye in the ancient world. This is, unequivocally, a statement of wealth. Enormous wealth. She's not so much running a business as a business empire.
Again, this is specifically her business, not her husband's, as evidenced in the same verse that talks about her being a vintner. From the NRSV-CE again:
"[16] She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard."
Or, to spell it out explicitly, we'll quote the NIV (which I normally dislike for reasons):
"[16] She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard."
We also know that she's a good manager who works alongside her servants, rather than sitting back and requiring them to do the work for her. More to the point, she's the hardest worker in the business and at home, as evidenced in the verses above, and in verses 15, 17, and 25 (Again in the NRSV-CE):
"[15] She rises while it is still night and provides food for her household and tasks for her servant-girls."
"[17] She girds herself with strength, and makes her arms strong."
"[25] Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come."
Important sidenote: If the repeated emphasis on her strength is anything to go by, this lady was swole.
The Proverbs 31 woman is a subject that's been talked to death by Christians. Most of the time they downplay her feats and accomplishments, which is honestly a shame. It's my strong opinion that she deserves to be remembered as a legend. Also the modern Church could benefit from celebrating women's excellence in general. Christ is glorified when we honour His whole body, not just the parts we're comfortable with.

Another person’s failure to comprehend is not your responsibility.
Explanation only goes so far when a person is refusing to understand.
“Do not speak in the hearing of a fool, For he will despise the wisdom of your words.”

What does biblical femininity really mean?
The term “biblical femininity” gets thrown around in online traditionalism communities a lot. However, what it actually means may not be what you expect.
So, here’s what someone who’s been in Catholic school since they were 5 thinks about femininity as it’s portrayed in the bible.
・❥・When you hear the term “femininity” you likely think of someone obsessed with the colour pink, fairytales and animals. While yes, these things very well may be true to many feminine women: They are not determining factors at all.
Femininity is not about how you look, dress or even what activities you participate in. In fact that couldn’t be further from the truth.
According to the bible, true femininity is entirely rooted in your behaviour. Instead of focusing on physical attributes or hobbies, biblical femininity focuses on how you treat others, your capacity to love, and your ability to live as according to the teachings of the bible.
This includes things such as being nurturing, which while many have attached negative connotations to: Isn’t negative at all.
By no means does biblical femininity call you to always be nurturing in every situation. In fact it never even says you have to have kids, which is often something associated with this term. Yes, God told Adam and Eve to have children, but there is nothing in the bible that says it is immoral not to. Being nurturing is simply the capacity to feel empathy, or to express cognitive empathy if you’re unable to feel emotional empathy.
Being nurturing doesn’t have anything to do with children. Being nurturing means to put others first whenever you reasonably can.
Biblical femininity is about becoming the woman God created you to be. It’s about being yourself unapologetically, and following Christ without a doubt.
・❥・ Before I finish this post I’d also like to add one last note/disclaimer: This post is 100% based on my own interpretations of the bible after 12 and a half years of attending a Catholic school, as well as growing up with Catholic parents. You are free to interpret the bible however you please, this is just one random teenager on the internets opinion <3
