Pen sketches of some exhibits - a taxidermied crow, an aurochs skull, a lobe-fish fossil and a false killer whale skull respectively - from the McManus museum in Dundee where I recently moved for Uni.

I didn't do a great job of differentiating the foreground from the backgroud but oh well it was just a quick sketch. Also I don't know how well it comes across, but from this viewing spot there was a weird optical illusion where it seemed like the ground (and the river on that ground) was bending up and away from you.

now that I've finally beat mental illness once and for all (read: managed to start doing anything I enjoy again) I've been getting back into good ol' pen and paper sketching.

most of these (with the exception of the landscape) were done with a shitty cheap Fire Department-branded pen that I was handed for some reason during trans pride (it was near the start of the heatwave so I think they were going around spreading awareness of the potential danger ppl were in if they didn't hydrate and wear sunscreen while trekking around Brighton all day, or something to that effect). I like the way it forces you to just keep moving and not get too precious about anything, since it's impossible to get it to be perfect

20,000 people at Trans Pride Brighton today - I'd so have loved to have been there too but that's bloody amazing - I was on their 2nd or 3rd year when we were amazed at 4,000 people coming, this is such a great statement

My first ever pride and it was beautiful, I'm sunburned and I can't stop smiling.

Walking with traveller pride was an honour, they made me so welcome and I'm so thankful for everyone in the family ಥ‿ಥ

Hey y'all! Damien Gerard, who played Father Teach on OFMD and who has been a very vocal supporter of OFMD fans - himself a fan, he's interacted heavily, vocally supported fanart and fanfic, and is himself a fan that writes his own fic, lots of interactions, lots of RTing, lots of adorable picture of his pets - has asked for help with saving the ONLY trans and nonbinary focused community center in England.

They're only about 2K away from their goal. I don't have to tell you that the trans and NB community in the UK is a very vulnerable community. This community center offers addiction support services, clothing and toiletries, community-based referrals, and a physical safe space for trans folks. If you have a few bucks, throw them over to the Trans Pride Centre.
