TRCC Readathon - Day 1

No TBR since I'm a mood reader. I was already 30 pages in so I'm going to continue everyone's favourite book by T. Kingfisher. Enjoying it immensely!

Also listening to The Will of The Many on audio. I'm 12 of 28 hours in. It has ups and downs and is way too much of a copy of the Awakening magic (Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson) so no concrete thoughts yet. The school and maze part is interesting.

Instead of continuing to read a 348 page book I’m not enjoying very much, tonight I will be starting Even Though I Knew the End by C.L. Polk.

I’ve had this book since October. I bought it for my birthday and it’s been over three months and I haven’t even started it (actually of the three books I bought to celebrate my birthday, I only finished one). Part of the reason I’m starting it is because it’s a novella, so I’ll get through it pretty quickly, and then I can focus on my longer books

i didn't post about this earlier because a. i didnt know if i would participate and b. once i started reading, i was like mmm social media break would go well with this but since the 15th, i have read:

I loved this volume! The colors, the design layout, the storyline, the characters, everything was so on point. I loved getting to see Pan standing up for herself and for others, even if it was to her own crew mates. And seeing those same crew mates finally bonding after everything they’ve been through together, was so good! I’m also really happy with the way Tara was introduced back into the main story. I’m so excited to see where it’s all gonna go from here! This volume is getting five stars.

the british have been talking around everything for so many days (and i understand why, i do), and the american shows up and lays it all out in like three sentences

all my love to van helsing but if quincey p morris was the vampire expert dracula would have been shot at least a couple times already

ok so like ... where are the queer low-stakes/cozy fantasy books?

I already know about Can't Spell Treason Without Tea, Legends and Lattes, and The Honey Witch but from my very low-effort browsing on GR and in bookstores, I can't seem to find any others?

if anyone has recs for cozy fantasy books with queer protagonists, I would love to hear them but don't recommend me things that are only available on amazon/kindle, please and thank you <3

TRCC Readathon - Days 5 - 7

13 pages of Somewhere Beyond the Sea were read. I wasn't feeling it so back in the bookshelf it went.

I got Witch King by Martha Wells which had an amazing first chapter so I'm devouring it instead. Read 88 pages in 2 days (after work).
