💖 Favorite movie?: honestly it's hard for me. But i love all the classics. But hunchback of Notre dame,beauty and the beast,sleeping beauty,snow white,mulan,and i know it's unpopular opinion but i loved pocahontas for two reasons. One i had zero to nothing for representation growing up knowing and having native background (now i might have better rep but again this was younger me) and two i just liked it face value. And that's ok. I know the real history,and i can like AND give valid criticism for a piece of media. Oh and i love treasure planet,and princess and the frog. Underrated af movies.

💕 Favorite underrated movie/show?: like i said treasure planet and princess and the frog.

💀 Least favorite movie?: i don't know. Im not really a fan of "modern" disney films. It's not that they aren't fun or good. It's just they dont have the same charm ya know? Plus older disney movies weren't afraid to get raw and real. Like bro,we aint never getting another hunchback of Notre dame.

🖌 2D animation or 3D animation?: i prefer 2d but some 3d is fine.

🌄 What movie has the prettiest animation?: honestly i can't say. There's too many i love.

🎶 Which movie has the best music?: hunchback,the lion king,mulan,beauty and the beast,honestly there's too many. I'd say hunchback has the best overall ost. Because holy shit. Im not religious by any means,not heavily at least(i do believe but not by the book but by my heart) but church choir and those chants and deep bells give me goosebumps every time.

📣 Which remake is the best?: honestly not many remakes and sequels of disney work. Some are ok but poorly executed.

🤡 Which remake is the worst?: ok as for sequels. Hunchback because of it felt like a pity movie for quasi and i hated it. As for live action remakes i dont like any of em. But beauty and the beast because i just do not like emma watson. I dont hate her,i just dont like her vibe. *shrug*

🪄 If you could change 3 things about any movies/shows, what would you change?: honestly lemme get really real for a sec. There is several movies id change but i wanna change that quasi and esmie get together in the end. Thats all i ask. And i want gaston punted into the sun. Im very simple to please.

🎥 If you could create/star in a remake, what would you do?: honestly i dunno. I'd kill it as belle I'd think but eh. I just wanna write my own movie.

🎞 If you could create an original movie, what would it be about?: any movie where the girl doesn't get with the guy. She doesn't need a sidekick. She's just doing her thing. And honestly we can learn a thing or teo from mulan. But if i could. I'd love to make a proper and honest to god movie about samurai. But tastefully done. Tome gozen movie anyone? Or a simple movie about friendship. And the importance of it. And platonic relationships being just as important as Romantic ones.

💃 Favorite character?: too many to list. Fr. I just have too many i think is just neat and deserve a seat at the table. ♡ my fave villains however are judge claude frollo,falicifer,hades,cruella(the real one not the prequel weird one they made),Ursula(my beautiful sea queen!),jafar,and scar. Sorry im a villains kinda gal more than a princess gal.

Dark Planet Warriors Series

Warning: Gore, violence, some situation of wrongful touching

Summary:

8 stories. The series begins with a bug infestation on the mining station outside of earth. A species called Kordolians are there to be the exterminators. After a meeting with a strange human our primary story kicks off while the bug story plays in background in some stories while being the main focus for several books. The consistent story for the other 8 books is a romance between the aliens and humans that results in a war for purity.

Person thoughts:

Great fuckin series. Almost every book has a different couple with only the very first couple being the focus several other times. First book is fantastic, especially the first sex scene. Its so good. The next few focus on the bug infestation till its dealt with then it gets back to the war. Don't skip them though, Riker is a treat that deserves to be acknowledged. My favorite one of this amazing series is Infinity's Embrace. That book has some dope characters. Electric Heart is my least favorite because it's like a real bad Watch Dogs (video game).

Summary:

Three books about an office relationship with three different aliens. Each alien goes through the venture of courting a human woman. All of them succeed on confusing then educating these people on their culture. All the aliens come from the same planet that has been ravaged by a tough alien species that try to wipe them out with their superior technology. That isn't a plot point, its just an explanation. Each story shows the struggles of cultural differences and how education and understanding can help make the world a better place.

Person thoughts:

I adore this series. One book in this series actually got a perfect score from me, which is strange cause I'm a tough grader. The first book has a super awkward lad who just seems to hate everyone. Its really cute and I like them both though their relationship is filled with cringe. The second book I didn't much care for. The main love dude was kind of an idiot and was too blinded by acceptance to be a reasonable thinking alien. Still decent but Its not my cup of tea. The last one- sweet jesus- was amazing. It has a ‘my cousin Vinny’ vibe with their relationship where they fight often but its like their form of foreplay. So good. There is another series that’s super short that takes place 1 year later for each story. Totally worth a read after you read the series.

After just one night she keeps coming back, falling for the sex worker. Romance ensues with lots of strife and abuse to keep the two from their HEA.

Personal Thoughts:

Man, this story represents everything I love in a story. Tons of fluff. It was a really good slow burn that I didn’t expect from a story about a prostitute. The cover gives the illusion of a typical middle aged mother romance - which I guess it is- but it has so much more. I only had one problem with the story, the ending. I felt they could have given more information but they just glossed over it. Besides that, hot book. The second one is really boring, just a slice of life that I couldn't get into.

Summary:

432 pages. Long book. Jalia enters into a competition to win a great prize. The interest of great fortune is too much for her to pass up. Little does she know the treachery the competition hides or the actual prize. The king of Minotaurs is hosting an event to test the strength, endurance, and intelligence of potential wives. In a culture that values strength they refuse to accept a queen who hasn't been tried. Genius Jalia goes through challenge after challenge, nearly dying about every chapter while catching the attention of a charming king.

Personal Thoughts:

I generally don't have the patience for long books but this one never dragged on. Every chapter was captivating and riveting. The challenges were interesting and Jalia's solutions were pretty genius. The relationship between the king and her is pretty grand, I adore them greatly. My only problem with the book is all the potty humor and insults. She was a genius but her insults left much to be desired. Once her biggest annoyance is no longer in the picture does that kind of stuff end.

Each book has a different relationship of humans and Krakens. Every book tells the story of how the krakens go from living in isolation at the bottom of the ocean to breeding with humans.

Personal thoughts:

When I first read this story I was just getting into monster romance. The love interests have fairly human tops but hella tentacle bottoms. So I was a little off-put by it but as I read on I didn’t care. The first one is pretty good for a start. The second one was decent, I didn’t really care for it. I actually skipped the 3rd one my first go around. Which is fine, it doesn't add too much and its short. Its still worth a read. The 4th one, fucking grand. 5th one? My all time favorite of the series! If you don't want to read them all at least read the 5th one. Like ask me for story details and I'll give you a cliff note for what's mentioned in that story then you can read in peace. 6th was ok, love the sassy AI. I didn't read the 7th one. Its two old people and I just can't

The two run from the clutches of the Red King while trying to escape the simulation.

Personal thoughts:

I had very low hopes for this story. I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. It was a twist on the beloved movie and book. Everything was rapey and creepy and I weirdly loved it. Of course nothing too terrible happened to the main lady so it made those situations more tolerable but only just. I adore the main dude, shadow. He was a playful little mischief maker and I would die for him. What made this book better for me was when everything hit the fan they didn't rid him of his sassy personality. Most books make the cocky, silly, playful personality as something that is bad and needs to change. This one they didn’t and kept it. So good.

Summary:

A city where criminals are more in control than most people think. Each book takes the reader through different adventure of different people. All having the similarity of protecting the ones they love. The first is of an assassin protecting the only woman who has made him feel so strongly. The second is with a mob boss hacker who grows fond of a shy human. The third is the second in command of the mob boss hacker who finds a pregnant woman in a menagerie and discovers she is his mate. Fourth is one of the workers of the mob boss's security team who gets taken by some slavers along with a woman he was entertaining for the night.

Personal thoughts:

First book sucked. He was obsessives and pretty much took all her choices. It wasn't till the end that he was like "my bad, you can leave if you want". Bleh. Second book was fan-fucking-tastic. Arc is a charming idiot with an amazing backstory. I didn't like the girl in the beginning but she grew on me. I love that he focuses on her but still pays attention to work and his 'family'. The third was surprisingly good. I generally don't like stories where someone is pregnant because they get boring. This one was not that. She was never a hindrance or weak, she was a badass. With her big kitty man they made an amazing duo. Also any scenes with her man and the baby made me tear up. He was so sweet. Fourth was boring, it reminds me too much of a lot of other stories.

I have such a weird organization with everything i read because i tend to reread stories and forget i read them. the entire time i read it im like “have i read this before?”. so for books i write them down, rate them, then review them. i didn’t post the reviews here because it would be so many spoilers. Also i sort my favorite fanfics by fandom then relationship. i read so fucking much, its a problem at this point.

this’ll sound vain but i’m very partial to my do-you-ever-yearn.jpg playlist that i made last year, which includes songs like fair by the amazing devil, the cover of friday i’m in love by phoebe bridgers, and the cover of time after time by iron & wine.

2: fav season & why!

AUTUMN, always has been and always will be, mainly for the rain and the trees changing colors (theoretically since i live in southern california and barely get either), and halloween, and my birthday.

3: comfort movie/tv series & why

well, my comfort movie is treasure planet and my comfort tv series is black sails, which ironically both obviously come from the same origin, treasure island (which was one of my most favorite stories growing up) but i think the reason they touch me so personally is because they both so effortlessly show the selfishness and selflessness of love (and how often those two overlap) in a very specific and authentic way that no other media has been able to capture for me.

4: if u were transported 2 an antiques shop that seems to sell everything under the sun, which objects wld catch ur eye first?

always, always, ALWAYS the books, first and foremost, but then probably the containers cause i LOVE finding cool old boxes to keep stuff in, and then the random objects like old candelabras and figurines and art that i could imagine came from some far off continent.

5: u’ve won three plane tickets 2 anywhere in the world, and everything will be paid for. where r u headed?

1st trip: the swedish alps in some far off cabin where i could just stay and learn to breathe again; 2nd trip: ALL of italy specifically in the countryside but also with significant time in rome, florence, and venice; 3rd trip: ALL of great britain, which has been one of my greatest dreams for almost my entire life.

ok first, YOU HAVE TO TELL ME HOW YOU’RE ENJOYING IT SO FAR, LIKE PLEASE RAID MY DMS AND TELL ME❣️ now second, without giving anything away cause i don’t know what you do or don’t know, i’d say aside from all the connections and build up to it’s origin (treasure island) throughout the course of the show that make me want to run around screaming, i just absolutely love and adore the core running theme of storytelling at the heart of the series and how much the series stresses how stories shape our perceptions of others and our societies/civilization and our history.

The Great Mouse Detective: Fidget

Since I was very young, I was under the belief that every bat character was automatically awesome and adorable... and I still do! That’s what growing up with a love for Anastasia and Ferngully does to you! ^^

Anyway, I love Fidget! He may have a peg leg, a raspy voice and sharp teeth, but, when he’s not busy making jumpscares, he’s surprisingly lovable! That’s why I’m glad that comic starring him and Olivia solving a mystery together makes me glad that he managed to make it ok!

The Little Mermaid: Sebastian

Didn’t watch this movie too much, when I was younger (you can blame Triton’s scary temper for that: thanks, man, you gave me nightmares! è_é).

But still, “Under the Sea” has always been a bop! And Sebastian’s love for music most likely inspired me to persue a musical hobby myself! I like how such a seemingly stiff character like him can quite the life of the party! And he has a good sense of snarky humor too! Best crab ever... almost! ;D

Aladdin: Genie

One of the most colorful movies from Disney, especially in terms of characters, but he pretty much steals the whole palette!

Genie is such an awesome character in every sense of the word: round and soft character design, Robin Williams’ outworldly performance and so much lively comedy in every scene he’s in! But he still manages to be someone you feel sympathy for: his desire to be free is very understandable and, while it is great when he finally gets his wish, I can’t help but feel a bit of sadness (indeed: when I was younger I had a hard time looking at how Genie hugs Aladdin while crying... ç_ç).

So, yeah, Genie is truly one of a kind Disney Character, and no one can top him in terms of scene stealing abilities! ^_^

Hercules: Hades

Hercules is kinda divisive in how it depicted the greek gods, but one thing for sure...

Whether you like the movie or not, Hades is easily the most fun character!

Can you believe he was going to be a cold, calculating villain before James Woods came to voice him? Me neither! And that was for the better: Hades’ best appeal is just how snarky and hot-headed he is, while still remaining a skilled manipulator (also kinda ironic that, despite his outbursts, he manages to keep his sanity up to the whole movie, unlike Ursula and Jafar who kinda lose it the more their movies progress).

Tv Tropes says “Everybody Hates Hades”? I say “Everybody LOVES Hades”! ^^

Treasure Planet: B.E.N./Delbert Doppler

One of the most unfairly ignored movies ever, and that’s a shame: the animation, the story, the characters... It’s just too good! Disney, look at this masterpiece, please!

Anyway, here I have 2 characters I enjoy in equal measure!

B.E.N. is either loved or hated, and I fall in the first category: I love how eager he is to please, and just how energetic he can be; sure, he can get on someone’s nerves, but I can’t help but admire his honest desire to be of help; also, he’s made in 3D, and that’s pretty neat!

There’s also Delbert Doppler: he definitely has the funniest lines in the movie; he’s so polite and awkward around people, and his relationship with Amelia is just so precious! ^_^

The Princess and the Frog: Ray

*sigh* This one needs so much more love... A sequel, a TV Series, anything...

Anyway, Ray... Uhm, pretty much anyone who knows me most likely has an idea of how much I adore this character. When at first I heard of the movie, I was sure that I would’ve loved Louis (a reptile who plays the trumpet: nice!), but I came to love him instead. How come, you may ask?

Well, I admire just how.. devoted he is as a character: he’s incredibly cheerful and kind, which makes him appear very lovable despite his missing teeth. And his love for Evangeline is honestly so pure that it gives me a warm feeling everytime it’s displayed. Add in the speculations that she’s actually Ray’s dead girlfriend, and that he’s waiting to finally reach her one day, and you’ve got a character that probably went through a lot in life and, despite how much his love is making him suffer, he goes on with a smile on his face.

So admirable. That’s why I kinda take inspiration from him: I want to have as much cheer towards others as he does. I actually ended up being more comfortable around fictional romance thanks to him!

Moana: Tamatoa

Can this movie become a TV Series? It deserve it!

For someone who got less than 6 minutes of screentime in the movie, Tamatoa RULES in the one scene he got: self-centered, eccentric, cruel but ever so fun, he graced us with a wonderful Villain Song, so rare to find nowadays.

He may lack in quantity, but he shines in quality, with an awesome personality and a great dynamic with Maui worth exploring!

talk about someone u love: i’m going to talk about my nieces and nephews rn bc i love them so much: adelie is the oldest she’s ten and my favorite person in the whole world. when she was born i took care of her a lot even stopped going to school for about a year so my sister could go and we got so close bc of that she is just so funny and silly and loving i hate that my girl has to grow up i want her to be little forever. next is my nephew Malcolm he’s so energetic and he plays a bit too rough with adelie and his brother and sister but he’s a great big brother he looks out for them and he and adelie get along super well. nicole is next she is an actual angel she is the sweetest girl in this entire planet she is so nurturing and she is super helpful and gentle. and finally my nephew diego. he’s three and the exact clone of my brother i even have this ig post of a side by side photo from when my brother was little they’re wearing red shirts and i stg they even have the same smile. my little man is so cute. when he was born it took a little while for him to warm up to us bc we don’t get the chance to see him as much as we did when adelie was born. but now its a complete 180 sometimes i’ll be walking and he’ll just run up and give me a hug and it makes my heart soar

This year I’ve had a lot of criticisms and I’m quite sensitive and it made me always feel angry and offended, but it also made me doubt myself and my abilities and as a result felt caged and wasn’t moving forward in life. I’ve had to step back, and just do what I like, and not care about what others think of me. Whatever you do, people are always going to criticise, especially when it comes to the creative stuff and being yourself, let them complain into nothingness, because it doesn’t matter. I do what I love and its not for you.

What a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives haven’t happened yet.

nostalgia is a liar. nothing was ever as good as you remember it to be. there’s a reason you don’t talk to that person anymore, there’s a reason you’re not part of each other’s lives. don’t trust nostalgia. grieve. reflect. move on.

when I see someone being a success, I think “that’s awesome” instead of “wish it were me

I think at the beginning everyone is scared and worried, it’s a natural feeling because you are putting something very personal on the internet, for everyone to see! I very much understand what you’re talking about because it was the same with me and sometimes I still feel that way, I am basically always worried about various things ahah! But I’d say, if you are forever blocked by your fears then you’d never achieve your dreams or goals, it might be difficult sometimes but most of the time I am sure you will enjoy creating something and trying to build your own brand or shop will be amazing <3 I hope you will overcome this and that you’ll start the adventure soon!

Life goes really quick and you’ll be dead soon. Don’t waste your time on this planet not wearing the clothes you want to wear, not doing the things you want to do, not eating the food you want to eat, not asking the people you’re crushing on out, not taking the job opportunities you want to take. Don’t waste your time comparing yourself to other people, don’t waste your time measuring your achievements against other people’s, don’t waste your time trying to live up to someone else’s expectations, stop caring about other people’s opinions, surround yourself with people who love you and make you feel the best about yourself, cut out all negativity remorselessly. 

Do you feel out of touch with reality? Like you're just going through the motions of living but you dont feel like it is you living it? I call these my moments in the fog, I drive and get to my destination without even knowing how! It is a very very hard thing to overcome, if you dont keep some friends these feelings will get worse! You will pull away from reality more and more and thats not good! I know its hard but try to keep atleast a few friends some type of human contact. Or the reality fading will worsen for sure! So I agree with everyone that tells you to keep friends! The FOG will over take your life if you let it!

First, it’s never your place to take on someone else’s problems as your own. So accept the fact right now that you can’t save anyone from themselves. This isn’t a movie or a tv show, things don’t wrap up neatly at the end just because someone comes along to say the Right Thing.

Generally speaking, it's better to not force things that are clearly not working out. People grow apart sometimes, it's sad but it happens, and it's better to let go and move on than to hold on to a relationship that is drifting apart.

please remember that in a healthy, adult relationship (romantic or not), you should be able to talk about things that are bothering you. if you are bottling up your emotions and holding it against someone when you haven’t told them what is wrong, you’re not engaging in healthy behaviour. but also, if your friend/significant other makes you feel as though you can’t talk about what bothers you- i.e. has made you feel guilty/gotten extraordinarily angry when things were brought up in the past- they are not engaging in healthy behaviour.

I think you have a wrong view of those happy happy girls. Many people choose to stay positive in life eventhough they experience setbacks or simply live life with a happy mask. Everyone(!) experiences setbacks, problems and/or sadness in their lives. Sure some more than others but it's wrong to assume that girls who are seemingly happy don't have a care in the world. You don't know what happens behind closed doors, in their private lives. You don't know what they choose not to tell.

maybe it's best to sit down and analyze yourself, how you come off and who you attract as friends. Anyone who wants new friends should do this.

Part of kawaii culture is about embracing the style you like and going against the grind! It's important that you remind yourself that you will stand out from the crowd and you will get stares, but try to treat that as a positive thing- you are interesting, different and cute! You are showing you have the bravery to express yourself the way you want, and anybody that scorns you for doing so is not worth your time of day. The more confidence you have, the better you will look.

Ask yourself: “What was my part in it?”Were you insensitive, uncaring or not thinking? If you made a mistake, used bad judgment, or did something hurtful to a friend, do some soul searching. Reflecting on the error of your ways can bring much needed insight and thoughtfulness to the situation.

Make amends. The fastest way to stop a friendship from derailing is saying “I’m sorry.” Take responsibility for your part. Even if you think your friend is being irrational or oversensitive, don’t invalidate their feelings or get defensive. Take the high road and be the bigger person. Conversely, if YOU’VE been wronged, accept their apologies, and quickly get back to the business of being friends.

Let go. If you’ve apologized like hell and there are still hard feelings, then it’s time to walk away. Don’t hold grudges, don’t grovel, don’t wait. Just send your ex-friend off with love and move forward with the friends you already have. “I don’t get mad, I don’t get even, I don’t cross you off my list. I don’t give it energy. I just make the decision to walk away, and I don’t look back.”

I hate to use this tired cliche, but what will help is if you lower your expectations from not only others, but yourself as well. Expect others not to rob or kill you, but as far being understood completely by others that may never happen. At least the way you want it to. A lot of my problems, at the core anyway, was that I desperately wanted people to see things the way I saw them, because I certainly tried to do the same, and I am usually able to. But like us, most people fumble their way through life without ever understanding themselves why they are the way they are in the first place, so how can I ask from them what they can't even give themselves.I guess all I'm really saying is cut yourself and others some slack. Sometimes just having someone to talk and interact with is enough to get you through the day even if they have no idea what your talking about.

You have to accept that as humans we have no control over our past, but absolute control over our future. If you're uncomfortable with your past you're going to spend a lot of time running away from it, but running away from this kind of stuff is like running on a treadmill; you end up moving neither forward nor backward. You also need to try lying down, playing some nice ambient music or some shit and actually try confronting yourself about your past actions.

I get sick of tumblr’s version of self care, which 90% of the time threads into this beautifully: go pet a fuzzy cute animal! pile up your favorite blankets from childhood and watch disney movies! take a nap! play a game from this list of cute soothings games! More realistically: go take a shower because it’s been three days. Wash the dishes that have been in the sink since last Friday that you can smell as soon as you open your door because rotting food stinks. Pick all your clothes off the floor because that’s where your entire wardrobe is and you’ve already cried today because you tripped over a sweater and realized the cat puked on it. Call someone who can give you enough courage to pay that bill you’ve been ignoring. Put away the crackers because that’s all you’ve eaten for two days straight. Apologize to the friends who are worried sick about you, and if you can’t at least let them know you are ok and need space. One of the most empowering types of self-care is responsibility, but tumblr just wants to sit in a closet strung with fairy lights and read their favorite fic.  “Cute” self-care for “cute” mental issues. That’s not reality.
