Brawl of the Almost-MechaGodzillas

I had almost worked to get this up by "Power Rangers Day" near the end of August but I just didn't really have the energy for it and matching silly days doesn't help with traffic anyway. I just thought this might be a fun scenario in its way much earlier in the year but when I heard about the relevant actor committing suicide I put it off. That's supposed to be Ready Player One's MechaGodzilla watching from the sidelines but I found that thing's head insanely difficult for some reason.

Holos backstory part 1

Holos (prime) she doesn't like to bring up her lineag/HeritageTM because like, her dad was the fallen and he caused an incident.

As in The very first thing this man does when he meets his child is: a) mistake her for a his wife, And b) he immediately tries to kill her.

Love me some prime-ly family ™ DRAMA !

Also alchemist and prima wasn't in charge of the family brain cell when they found her like- dying.

Sooo they somehow convince prima (via ego?) to use the matrix to revive her

But of course because they were not in charge of the family brain so no one thought to ask If they should use it instead of if they could.

And of course this predictively goes very wrong :))

Basically what happened is the matrix broken in half and part of it fused to her spark and because the matrix is over protective of itself, try's to use the spark energy to save itself (killing her), and then

because its hosts existence-, panics yet again and revives her like every few milliseconds.

Which means:

dead is still slightly alive;* - the princess bride

Prima is cranky that his special toy that daddy made for him got broken. 🙄

Primus's dad (godTM) gets fed up with all the drama and gets involved

And decided that it would be cool 1) make her a cyber organic And 2) assign her to serve in vectors round table of knights and train in various ways of kicking unicronian butt.

Then skips off screen never to be seen again.

Because reasons.

So she does that And well…

This poor kid can't catch a break.

Everything that could go wrong does go wrong.

The Predacons die in because unicronn finally used his "it's a surprise tool that will help us (him) later".

And her best maximal friend shoves her into a in a stasis pod only to wake up millions of years later during the "golden age".

Things go chill for a while

It's all good

Except a very corrupt and a messed up Sentinel prime was the one found her and woke her up-

And discovered she has powers.

Oh joy. /s

Because alpha Trion is (technically) the only family member alive, guess who gets to start a custody battle.

Spoilers he just handed the kid to him

"For the good of cybertron".

Ouch

Maybe he should've stopped reading that book of his.

But I suppose asking him to be self-aware is too much to ask

And so the experiments begin, a few escape attempts happen (including one that nearly go Maccadam killed in the process of helping her.), and eventually settle just has had enough of this kid shenanigans and "refusing" (read as: literally physically cannot) give him the powers and title of a actual prime and sends her to the worst Cybertronian mine ever.

but hey,

She makes a new friend his name is Termmenus

and of course if you know Termmenus, and if you know what happenes to him in messutine…

Then shouldn't come as a surprise he gets severely injured.

Luckily for her (or at least that sentinel's opinion), he is more than willing to forgive her and save her friend in exchange for her "being a good little cog" and all that nonsensical functionalist rhetoric.

And the experiments begin again.

Sometimes when he gets bored of being a torturous jerk he will polish her up and show her off at various fancy parties.

Blah blah blah eventually war breaks out because you know Optimus and Megatron couldn't just get over themselves and get married already.

she would've taken advantage of this rare opportunity to escape however you know there's a problem of a bomb collar that explode if she steps too far away from terra nova sentinel prime.

Drat.

So this is the part where I should probably mention he has been drinking the unmaker juice this whole time that he might have stolen from tripticon station in a bid for power.

that's totally not going to cause any problems in the future no Sir-ee.

And eventually we get to the part was sentinel dies in the tfp series.

He basically just lets everyone thinks he's dead until he runs into Ironhide, joins his crew because why not.

He just says it was all part of a con scare tactic, no all the reports or false he didn't die(l mean he technically did and he got revived but no one has to know that) drags his "pet" (holos) along and they

go traveling for a bit in Space.

Eventually Ironhide starts noticing some things. Suspicious things.

Like this prime claims to be married to this girl but uh…

Somethings not quite right.

She's a really flinchy, Super quiet, speaks really formal (like unusually to the point where it's just really weird.).

And so Ironhide starts paying close attention and when he starts paying close attention-

He decides to do some digging. And oh boy oh boy does he find something he doesn’t like and grabs on it like a dog with a bone.

One day he bumps into the " happy couple" (was sneakily following them) In the middle of a physical altercation In the middle of a hallway.

And something falls off from a slot in her audial. Grabs that while they are distracted. then he somehow manages by some miracle, Convinces sentinel to let him drag holos off for a private chat.

Ironhide drags holos into a closet And he manages (gently) pry the whole story out of her.

He tries to privately confront sentinel but it didn’t go well for he poor captain.

so he eventually ends up in the med bay after sentinel try’s to kill hide via murder closetTM.

As far as everyone else is concerned a bunch of heavy old equipment fell on top of him and it triggered a paranoia episode for hide.

(If only they knew the truth)

So ironhide bides his time, collecting evidence, planting little inklings of doubt whether or not sentinel is really who he claims to be in the crew.

And after some time he casually gives the data stick to his sparkmate Chromia under the guise of being to old to understand how to transfer data from this new fangled tech.

She goes to ask red alert to help her out with the data transfer while whirl and her are on shift., And in to the rabbit hole they go.

Chromia demands her bonded get there right now and explain himself dangnabbit!

After a heated conversation between whirl, red alert, Chromia, and ironhide the come up with a plan to get Holos off the ship and away from her not-husband ASAP.

Phase 1 begins: separation.

Invite holos to dinner so while red alert pretends there’s a security issue that she simply HAS to show to someone and sentinel MUST see.

Phase 2: convince Holos she’s simply being given a tour of the docks and shuttle bay when they land and they’ll all be right back. (Also get that collar off)

Phase3: escaping.

Things start to go down hill from here…

Good ol’ terra nova sentinel prime has killed red alert and energon is EVERYWHERE.

Ironhide try’s to get between holos and sentinel.

Looks like the ship captain is now a hostage.

After whirl fails distracting the ill doer

Holos uses her outlier abilities for the first time in centuries, accidentally damages the ship, and passes out from the strain.

Sentinel shoots hide with cosmic rust cannon and disintegrates him.

Whirl and mia make a run for the ships stasis pods.

Whirl rushes off to hold the false prime back.

Mia discovers that there’s only one pod left and prepares to shove holos in it.

Holos wakes up and uses her reverse uno card on Chromia and uses her powers to make a shield bubble to protect her, mia, and whirl and they crash on earth.

(Yay we now have a plague ship™️ that will eventually almost kill optimus!)

I love the shooter genre in video games, especially story-driven shooters with a world, plot and characters, like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2007). Naturally, like every player, I was losing, which, however, led to the death of the character I was playing as. And at such a moment, I often had the question, «What's next?».

For example, in Transformers: Fall of Cybertron (2012), in the second level of the game, the player plays as Optimus Prime. And, due to the player's sloppiness/inexperience, Optimus dies during one of the battles with the enemies. Or the mission where Megatron wants to get to Tripticon, where again for the same reason Megatron dies.

And it was in this game that I started to wonder, «What happened next? How did the story, the world, the universe change when this character died at this point? How did the enemies or allies react? How would absolutely everything have gone in this 'alternate universe'?»?

Heh. What if every such death of a playable character creates its own separate alternate universe, where everything changed just with that character's death?

NEW FIGURE TIME

Shattered glass Grimlock, looks super sick fucking love the almost Tripticon colors. Already have this Grimlock so I’ll skip out on him.

Now we got more core class Dinobots with scarr and swoop and they look like the best of the core class Dinobots we’ve seen. I think that sludge and slug don’t look great and Grimlock looks down right goofy but these guys look so good. I might pick them up but I know if I pick one up I’m gonna have to commit to getting all of them for the combiner so we’ll see.

Today has been a big Dinobot focused day. Leader class snarl looks amazing absolutely love this funky little guy he looks great. Sad that he got leaked early but what can you do. He’s so goofy lookin and he has a sword! Thank god. It’s sad the other Dinobots didn’t come with them but glad he has it. My hot take is I like melee weapon accessories more than guns. They feel a lot more varied than just another gun.

Last is core class ironhide. He is certainly a retool of core ratchet. That said I may pick him up due to the fact I kinda love ironhide specifically for some reason.

All in all a really strong showing today something that Hasbro has typically been pretty bad at. Hope they continue to do this and don’t let leakers decide what gets revealed when

Just waiting for a moment to play with my friend in WFC co-op. I mean... She doesn't like to actually play a game, only to enjoy a script and locations. So I'll fight for her XD What's pretty funny, 'cuz I think that a game's difficulty can make a good job for the atmosphere. I mean... look at Omega Supreme and Tripticon. I don't need the other words, just look at them and you will know that I meant.

Cyberverse Movie Quick Reaction(?):

I’ve never done this before but OMP I just watched the 1st movie and I want to put my thoughts out.

Spoilers below.

- Is so nice seeing a peace treaty ending the war? I know there is plentiful of TF content I have yet to watch, But I have never seen both autobots and decepticons being happy?? singing a treaty for peace? This was odly satisfying and it made me feel really happy Cyberverse exists.

- NIGHTBIRD IS HERE!? Has she appeared in a cartoon outside of G1??? (I am almost certain some japanese cartoons had her tho) BUT LIKE IS SO NICE SEEING HER HERE AS CYBERTRONIAN!!!

- Okey Swoop is my favorite autobot, I like that they made Swoop a girl, I dont mind that, is nice I love her. I am just kinda meh they made her the smart girl, (WHY CAN A GIRL JUST BE DUMB???) I feel like if you wanted to go have an smart dinobo you could have gone with Sludge or Snarl :/

- ON A SIDE NOTE SWOOP MY GIRL HAS BEEN TELLING THEM THE ANSWERS ALL ALONG

- Okey, to backtrack. If I had a dollar for every time Arcee and Grimlock went to an adventure and then returned to find all their friends frozen, I’ll had two dollars, which isn’t a lot, but is weird that it happened twice.

- GRIMLOCKS LITTLE PAT PAT TO ARCEE’S HEAD IS EVERYTHING TO ME. is just the fact that they are besties and he wanted to keep her safe… I 🥺… This movie realy said “Arcee and Grim are besties and I was serious about that” AND THANK YOU FOR THAT.

- BUG BITE IS AWESOME, is the unhinged dumbass energy for me. SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LET CHARACTERS BE FUNNY WFC TRILOGY??? THEY BECOME LIKABLE... NOW if you allow me, i’ll buy his toy, unlike wfc bug bite that can die in hell.

- PLASE I AM BEGGING HASBRO, NIGHTBIRD TOY. PLEEEEEEAAAASE!!! I am not mad she is an Arcee recolor, please I’ll buy her. PLEASE. (She honestly works pretty well as a recolor, but I would have remolded the face a bit more, nothing I can’t fix on the figure myself)

- Soundblaster‘s voice is really cool and not at all what I expected. I like it, but that is how Blaster sounds in my mind, I am not sure if this is taking or adding points.

- THE COMEDY WAS SO WELL DONE! Idk if this was a 1st time eximent thing, but my mom was in the room as I watched the movie and I didn’t cringe once (unlike with s1 or the entire wfc trilogy).

- Volcanicus visor/head reminds me too much to RID2015 Jazz. I have decided that it may have been intentional. I am dying for Jazz crumbs.

-Is it just me or that one Volcanicus transformation was an Angry Birds Transformers Reference?????????

- sounblaster is hella cool. BUT BITCH CAN DIE IF HE TOUCHES LAZERBEAK AGAIN.

- On a side note: “I’ll take away the only thing you care about” THE BITCH TOUCHES LAZERBEAK!;!;@:’ Dadwave at his prime.

- HOW COME THIS MOVIE MADE COMBINERS MORE INTERESING THAN THE ENTIRE COMBINER WARS SERIES!? (to be fair those were only 5 min long but still...)

- I REALLY enjoyed Tripticon. Not just was him my favory Titan already… Seeing an interesting version of him on screen that is not being controlled by Starscream‘s ghost was great! His “Fair but strick” boss my but. Love volcanicus but I totally expected Tripticon to win 🤷🏽‍♀️

- CALL ME CRAZY BUT THAT WAS JAZZ COREOGRAPHY FROM WFC!! I KNOW IT !! THIS IS NOT ME REACHING FOR JAZZ CONTENT!! THAT WAS A REFERENCE I. KNOW. IT!! I AM PICKING UP WHAT THEY ARE PUTTING DOWN! THEY REFERENCED MY BOY IN THE DANCE MOVES.

Hasbro please, let Jazz be in a show? in something? I am begging you here, I can’t rewatch the same two episodes of RID2015, I can’t live like this.

We could have scientist starscream, cityspeaker starscream, predacon or beast former starscream in the exact same universe. Imagine how old this fucker would be.

Now I want to come up with like various forms and names he has adapted over the tons of life's he has lived. Hellscream could be the name of an earlier form of his, if not the first, and it could be like a predacon since Hellscream originally is a shark jet thingy from beast wars 2. Ulchtar, Starscreams orignal name before it got changed could either be his first life or the life that he was on when the whole prime and unicron drama with the fallen could have happened.

And then from there you could make a bunch of custom ones. So far I had an idea of his life before becoming Starscream, a bone white seeker named Whiteout or Null who is a city speaker, assigned to tripticon. And then uses the titan to go bat shit insane and cause collateral damage just because he can.

1 am in the morning and done with the Prime Wars Trilogy!

Before watching them I always got the impression from the fandom that the shows are bad and I don’t get why? I loved it! Combiner Wars was a little wacky because it didn’t really explain much but was still good given how short it was, Titans Return was really gearing the plot up and was captivating with it’s immidiate threat from Tripticon and Power of the Primes was EPIC! Was at the edge of my seat for the whole ride! I saw some youtuber making videos on why at least Combiner Wars and Titans Return are supposedly bad and I’d be willing to watch them to see what critique points he has, but I didn’t really like his RiD15 video really much either, so...gotta see. And if the negative points are: 1. Voice acting quality 2. cinematography 3. The lack of natural facial expressions 4. Whyever the fuck everyone’s head always bobbed when talking Like all these non-plot-related reasons I see and agree with. While the animation style was pretty and some shots and fights were quite neat, the overall animation was kinda lame and didn’t really give you much feeling. Same goes with the facial expressions - a lot of times, especially with Megatron, the characters have a model expression that gets moved, and at times it slips back to that model expression that is mostly a smile. And characters smiling when the situation doesn’t call for it is jarring. And while the voice actors were able to give characters life, most of them failed to be truly expressive. Like the flashback scene where Megatronus mourns Solus’ death, the voice actor for Megatronus really failed to give it a good performance worthy of such a tragic scene. And at times I didn’t truly understand what the characters were even saying, because they didn’t speak clear enough. That was the most annoying with Hot Rod. And they all spoke really slow for some reason.  And I give it that, the pacing was weird a lot of times, especially during fights scenes. When you’d think everything should go really fast, there were always pauses for certain characters to do plot-stuff that needs to be done, or to have a lil chit-chat. Like that is one point that the people could have done a better job. But everything else...I dunno, I kinda forgive it.  I don’t know much about Machinima to judge it based on who did the show, how much budget and resources the shows even had. Might be because I usually don’t judge shows much for their animation, I am far more interesting in the plot and characters to really care about the technical things. And while good animation and voice acting and so on does get a plus point from me, bad animation doesn’t bother me much. Like come on, G1 is still my favourite, okay, and we all know what an animation mess that is. Voice work is a little different, I do care when it’s bad because the quality of the acting really influences the emotional impact of the character. But it wasn’t too bad in the Prime Wars, and some were really good, like Windblade. Talking of Windblade, this is the first show were I really, really liked her! Cyberverse didn’t warm me up to her and neither did RiD15 really. And I can say the same for a lot of characters here, Megatron was DREAMY! Gosh I loved him so much here! <3<3<3 Hot Rod gave me too many feels, Victorian was awesome, Percy a cutie pie and damn, Overlord was a treat! And Primal was a really nice addition, I really digged the cast here! It might not have been as deep as it could have been, but the show was short and so were the episodes, I can forgive that. And as a show with just 18 episodes in total, it gave me a better experience than other TF shows! But damn, if you have any idea why the show doesnt seem to be good, let me know, I’ wanna know what others think!
