anyways heres a goofy ass idea i had of Jim and Charlie getting yeeted into HTTYD time

Douxie fucked up a teleport/take a look back in time spell and accidentally sent Charlie and Jim back in time to HTTYD and they just vibe with Hiccup and co until Douxie figures out how to get them back. entirely a for goofs, no actual danger happens that I've come up with yet its just Charlie having increasingly worrisome amounts of Terrible Terrors following her around and she basically attaches a Monstrous Nightmare to her side and switches from claiming its her spiritual twin or a previous life. Hiccup is mildly amused if not a little bewildered by Charlie's entire everything but also wondering if this girl who can turn into a dragon could actually survive a fight with Astrid. Jim is just constantly suffering, Hands on his face, sighing very deeply. Charlie picks up a Terrible Terror and decides its going to become the "house cat" for when her Douxie and Zoe get a place together and spends entirely too long picking a name including Archibald specifically to bother Archie, Charlie Jr (which sparks a conversation on whether Charlie is a Jr because Archie's Dad is a Charlie, Charlie pokes fun at Jim for "Jim Lake Jr Jr" the flour baby and Hiccup brings up his full name and the Lake sibs appropriately loose their minds over) Roomba cuz it keep bumping it's head to hers like a cat, varying titles of "dust killer" and "lighter" before landing on "Axel Amadeus Killer Dust Mite Destroyer" with a note that "Doux will probably come up with something even sillier someone somewhere on the server I came up with this idea on made a joke of Douxie "convincing a Viking to run away with him" and it sparks the thought in Charlie that Douxie and Zoe could be somewhere in the Archipelago and she considers trying to find them and pester them or something. she has no plan cuz of course she doesn't Charlie does her dramatic "I've been betrayed so I'm going to run away and become a woods witch" bit which I'm not entirely sure how or why that's a bit she does BUT HERE WE ARE and Jim just wants Hiccup to ignore her while Toothless decides "this one is stupid, i like them" and just carries her while she's being drama-kid-betrayed and she starts a spiel on how Toothless and her are gonna run away and become feral woods people and eat trees or something and Hiccup cant tell if shes serious but also he definitely at least dares her to try considering how Berk is. To his horror, she does attempt to run off into the woods with just a broken spear she found and a claim that she's going to eat a dragon and he has to go wrangle her back to Berk before she gets herself eaten or worse

man, even just writing about the ending of IA1 from an outsider's perspective - in this case my OC Theo from my Cruel Intentions series for a L22 side-story - makes me tear up.

That ending, man. That ending! It's so beautiful and bittersweet and emotional and amazing. :')

My top villains (from dumb to smart)

Warning: This post is not intended to offend anyone, the author is just sharing his observations

In this post, I decided to make up the top villains of trollhunters from the dumbest to the smartest (as for me, such tops are much more interesting than the placement of characters by strength, because in most cases you already know who will be in first place). The actions of villains from trollhunters only will be evaluated here.

10) Morgana:

Her main problem is that she does using her arsenal of spells on maximum and instead of attacking with shots of magical energy from a safe distance, she creates small energy daggers and goes into close combat, although this makes no sense (it is as if gunmar, fighting with his sword, tried not to hit the opponent with a sharp blade, but tried to hit him with the hilt of the sword). Her second fatal mistake is that she gave Angor freedom and was genuinely surprised when he betrayed her and decided to take revenge for everything she did to him (What prevented her from taking Angor's soul again so that he would not betray her at the most crucial moment?). And can someone explain to me why she didn't kill Merlin at the end of the third season? That is, she just tossed him from side to side, throughout the series she said how she wanted to kill him, and then just left him alive and went to deal with the hunter?

9) Otto:

For some reason, he sincerely believed that Gunmar cared about changelings and that Gunmar would lead them to a bright future. But what a surprise! It turns out Gunmar didn't care about changelings from the beginning, well, yes, he never hid his disdain for them. Someone will call it loyalty, but for me it's dibilism when you betray the current head of the Order of Janus and instead of taking the vacant throne yourself, you kindly waited for the tyrant who eventually used you.

8) Bular:

As for me, Bular is one of the most impulsive characters in the whole series. The most striking example is when in the second series, literally in the middle of the day, in a place where there could be unwanted witnesses, he decided to attack a new hunter and, as expected, was defeated. He also continues to underestimate his opponent, even when Jim killed stalking, it is not surprising that with such disregard for the enemy, he died before all the antagonists.

7) Goblin from the episode about creepslayerz:

He appeared relatively little on the screen compared to other villains, but during this time he, firstly, set Steve and Eli on Jim, and secondly, led the Creepslayerz on a false trail, thereby preventing them from finding out about their plans ahead of time.

6) Gunmar:

My main problem with Gunmar is that without asking for any proof, he believed all the nonsense that the Dictatus told him. I also think that Gunmar should be aware of the technical superiority of people (at least from Strickler's presentation) and that is why, instead of sending changelings to intercept at least a couple of warheads, he arranges their genocide. It's really funny that in the end Morgana needed a changeling to free him, and I'm just wondering what he would have done if Nomura and Strickler hadn't been in town? (I think he would catch a random person on the street and give him free troll language lessons)

5) Nomura:

She doesn't rank higher in the rankings just because she underestimated Jim in the first season. To be honest, I can't remember if she has had similar mistakes before, and compared to previous places, she is much less impulsive.

4) Angor:

As for me, Angor from the first season is a reference villain, almost all of whose actions are thoughtful and balanced decisions, for example, he reasonably did not trust Strickler and his promise that he would let him go as soon as trollhunter will die, so he did not immediately kill Jim, but only intimidated him so that our troll hunter had more reasons to make a deal with Angor and steal infernacopula. Well, the most striking example is that Angor will first study his enemy, and only then go into battle. if they hadn't made a cartoon villain out of him at the end of the first season, who, instead of immediately stabbing his defeated opponent, rolls up a long monologue about how weak our new hunter is without his friends, then in this top you Angor would have stood much higher (but despite this, he is still one of my favorite characters).

3) Usurna:

You might reasonably ask why she stands so high in the top if she supported Gunmar on an equal footing with Otto? To which I will answer that unlike Otto, who was looking forward to the return of the cruel lord, Usurna tried her best not to let Gunmar escape from the dark lands and joined him only when she knew for sure that he had returned, in fact, she simply chose the strongest, and therefore the winning side. And I think it's worth admitting that no matter how mean a bitch she is, she can reasonably reason that by sacrificing a pair of cubs of Kruber, she will thereby delay Gunmar's desire to attack her people for a sufficiently long time, and if the dark lord still falls, she can say that her children were simply kidnapped (which was common at that time (if we recall the background of the creation of changelings) so no matter how you look at it, in any case, it remains a winner.

2) Strickler:

(who could doubt that he would be so high in the ranking) I am still sure that he helped in the liberation of Gunmar only out of fear of Bular, because as soon as Bular fell, Strickler immediately took the vacant throne, leaving Gunmar in the dark lands. Strickler, as well as Angor, will not be the first to rush into battle, he will most likely just shift all the dangerous and dirty work to someone else, since the status allows. Also, he always plans an escape plan if something goes wrong, if he hadn't created a magical connection with Barbara then he wouldn't have had any leverage on Jim and therefore the hunter wouldn't have had any reason to protect Strickler from Angor. He is not in the first place only because instead of hiring a hired sniper who would quickly kill a young hunter and left, no! instead, he awakens an ancient killer who, if he can take the ring, will kill his unfortunate master first thing. Although if he also awakened Angor in order to strengthen his status as the head of the Order, then there are no complaints, but due to the fact that in the series itself Strickler said that he brought Angor only to kill Jim, then alas it was too unjustified a risk

1) Dictatious:

To begin with, he was able to survive in the dark lands for several centuries, so he was also able to become the right hand of Gunmar himself, who clearly respects only the strong, and the Dictatus, to put it mildly, is a so-so warrior. Further, after the Dictatus lost his sight and became virtually useless to Gunmar, he was still able to remain his most trusted subordinate (yes, this whole topic with Morgan's visions looks ridiculous to me, given that the Dictatus had no evidence of the truthfulness of his words, but most importantly, it worked). Also, the Dictatus has never had an insane devotion to Gunmar, he joined him only because otherwise he would not have survived, which is why he so easily switches to the side of the hunter and at the end of the series remains to chill in Toby's house.

I rewatched Wizards, and......uhm

-I swear, Steve wasn’t THAT dumb in Trollhunters/3below. Actually, he was a good character. Wizards completely destroyed his character (and the movie buried him).

-WIZARDS STARTED THE “BUT I AM STILL THE TROLLHUNTER WITHOUT THE AMULET?” NONSENSE.  WHY

-What happened to Toby and Jim’s friendship?? Toby felt a bit out of character in Wizards. He definitely would had been as dedicated to saving Jim as Claire was! Toby’s reaction to Jim’s brief stone death was hardly shown. He was more pissed with Arrrgh’s death wtf :/ And the fact that he wasn’t with Claire when she was trying to bring Jim’s soul back.....what? Come on....

This series was...50/50. Good, but also bad.

Okay, so I been rewatching a show from my childhood called Trollhunters where a teenage boy named Jim ends up getting chosen by a magic amulet to become the next Trollhunter and now has protect both humanity alongside trollkind from evil trolls. Now I got the image of Player being the Trollhunter.

They are completely unfazed by this isekai magic nonsense and only reason they haven't helped fight alongside the guys cause accidentally they left their magical Amulet of Daylight at their home. Now the amulet can return to its wielder when called upon but since Player is stuck in a different dimension... you can imagine how insane the waiting time is.

Does the Guide mention anything about their Trollhunter status? No mainly cause nobody asked and it be pretty embarrassing to not have their chosen magic arsenal around other Champions. It's only when the Villain Chain ambush Guide plus Mecha did the Amulet finally appear.

Player: YOU TOOK YOUR SWEET ASS TIME! Now I can finally get down to business!

Mecha: What are...

Player: For the Glory of Merlin, Daylight is mine to command!

No one expected the sudden magical armor and clearly powerful magic sword to appear on the supposedly defenseless Guide. Or for Player to be much stronger than they thought as not even in ten seconds does Wane find an armored foot between his legs. Guide grabs Mecha and flees by stealing a few Deku Nuts from the downed Link then toss it at the Villains. Rather not have the animatronic get badly damaged.

Mecha: WHAT WAS THAT?!

Player: I may have not mentioned that I was chosen by a magical amulet to protect mankind and a secret world of trolls after the last one died? And that kicking someone in the nuts is the third rule of being a Trollhunter?

Mecha: You gotta be shitting me.

Player: Nope to both. Been doing this since I was fifteen and the third rule is literally 'When in doubt, kick them in the gronk-nuks.' which is what I did. Gotta love magic alongside chosen one bullshit.

Mecha is probably done with everything magic at this point. Although Player now being able to properly defend themselves makes it a easier and bearable. Though Mecha did learn the random gibberish they said when mad had been swearing in Trollish/Troll language.

Currently rewatching a playthrough of Knack from Super Beard Bros and I can't help but laugh when I look back at Trollhunters cartoon. The goblins in the show are just comically small frog gremlins with a Cuccoo mentality. Kill one and they go after your ass so vilely that trolls pray for a swift demise.

Then you look at the ones from Knack and I'm pretty sure some Trollhunters' will have a WTF moment. Like some goblins are either toddler size or the size of a small tank. I took some screenshots from this cutscene movie here. Mainly cause obscure games like this don't have a large fanbase to archive stuff.

But yeah. This goblins here are human sized while some such as the Village Chief are close to a small tank. I can imagine this being brought up if Knack and Jim ever met.

Knack: You're telling me those weird frogs are your world's goblins? I can imagine the priceless look on Gundahar's face if he ever saw them!

Jim: This coming from the living Legos who has a civilization of OGRES for enemies! Goblins shouldn't be that big much less pilot tanks!

Knack: It was so therapeutic to destroy that weapon's factory. Tank lasers to the face is not a fun experience.

Jim: Laser Tanks?!?!

I love niche obscure games cause you find some ridiculous nonsense like this. Sometimes enjoyment can be found in the bargain bin for $20. If you haven't noticed, I tend to like simple stuff more than the next big hit.

Can mostly catch me watching cheesy shit such as Street Sharks instead of Stranger Things. You see popular franchises try to one up each other only to crash and burn later. Knack is just a simple game series that can be someone's first PS4/PS5 like it was mine. Plus I get a good chunk of inspiration for some chaotic ideas.

For Knack fans, I recommend checking out Trollhunters in your spare time even it's connected series which is 3Below and Wizards. DON'T TOUCH THE MOVIE. Rise of the Titans is just Danny Phantom's Phantom Planet equivalent to the series. We treat it as non-canon or Blinky's crackfic.

I also recommend checking out Knack for any Trollhunters/3Below/Wizards fans too. You can check out cutscene movies, watch a playthrough or play the games yourselves. I do have to warn new players that it's like the era of PS1 games. People offen joke it is the Dark Souls for kids. The second game is more kinder in difficulty mainly cause it fixes some gameplay issues from the first.

It's my personal opinion and recommendation anyway.

(april) i had this idea for a fantasy au for tales of the abyss, kinda shapeshifter-y and kinda fairy tale inspired:

-guy and tear were merfolk (a common hod shift)

-kimlascan royalty were traditionally bird related (asch was a phoenix, which is perhaps a little too on-the-nose, but bond liked the idea, so.)

-natalia was a griffon, which was just bird-related enough to let slide (until mohs uses it against her to prove she isn't true royalty, bc she's predominantly cat) (which also ties to largo's title-- the black lion)

-replicas are all changelings. luke presented much like asch's phoenix, but his abilities are different. ion and sync have fairy wings

-jade wasn't a true fantasy creature (partially to emulate his distinct lack of ability with the seventh fonon) but his thing was inspired by the tale 'the snow queen' in which his heart has been pierced by magical ice. if you know the story, you'll understand what i mean

-i have one doodle of asch that i still like, with the line, "why would you think sending a phoenix to die would work?"

after that we got back to more loz/xc1 crossover doodles, which were fun. shulk/ravio is still a big-brained idea. (may/june)

So Charlie is older than Jim, she's 19 at the start of the series and already neck deep in the mystical world of magic and mayhem. She works at the Italian restaurant with Douxie and is a member of Ash Dispersal Pattern, Douxie and Zoe are some of her best friends and probably her only friends thanks to her chaotic and trouble-magnet energy. She's already got quite the police record and is an avid fan of destroying things, so bashing magical monsters with Douxie and Zoe during the night is perfect for her.

there's a one shot i think i posted somewhere of Charlie's first meeting with Douxie, but they literally met while he was fighting a big lizard monster and she tried to run it over with her beat up car. So of course she decides he's stuck with her from here on and it's history from there.

She was a baseball player as a kid and has a small collection of bats in her room, but her most treasured bat and weapon of choice in Thunder

A pretty solid bat on it's own, but she's done some.... reconstruction on it. She's carved all kinds of stuff on the thing but she also cored it and shoved a solid metal tube in it so it's especially heavy. Not field legal and... probably not legal legal either, but it sure does a great job cracking down on monsters!

And your eyes don't deceive you! There is a magical rune carved on there too! Because she's got no natural magic, she convinces Douxie and Zoe to give her a rune to make her bat a magical weapon! It basically wreathes her bat in a magical fire which will come back to bite her later.

She's taking college classes online in the evening and spends her nights out with her crew. She's the current bass guitarist for Ash Dispersal Pattern and is HUGELY in love with her besties.

She's actually worse at cooking than Barbara is because instead of things simply burning or tasting wrong, Charlie sets things on fire. Not on purpose but she does know the Captain of the local Fire department very well now. She jokes this means Lake Ladies are cursed and they may very well be but that hasn't stopped her yet, much to her brother's chagrin.

She's a coffee-holic. She knows the menu of every coffee house in town and always orders wild stuff with lots of add ins and is ok at making coffee at home, though she cant make as complex stuff as she orders. She's also always sure to tip well especially because half the baristas in town are magic users who she knows through Douxie and Zoe or through her own nonsense and Momma didnt raise no cheapskate.

She's technically punk aesthetic-ed but her trademark is literally a flannel because i almost made her country girl coded. But hse does have a leather jacket she's sewn patches into and saves for special occasions cause its her special jacket.

She and Douxie both have a bunch of jingly things on them: bracelets, zippers, earrings, etc; so whenever they're together, they jingle jangle like you've got a jar of coins and its especially funny cuz Charlie has def got ADHD or something so she bounces and doesn't sit still like ever so she's constantly making some kind of sound.

So in a TOA world where Charlie exists, she finds out about the Trollhunter thing pretty early on, either because she's home the day he finds the amulet or because they run into each other while he's out doing Trollhunter things while she's out doing monster hunting things with Douxie and Zoe. And she can't lie to their mother to save her life either because she's bad at lying or because she hates the idea of lying to their mom.

Butterflies

Jim was really nervous that afternoon. He had thought that, which each passing day, it’d become easier to be near Claire. But no. Of course no. Since she had joined the Trollhunters team, some days he would be too nervous to do anything. But how? Why? They had spent a lot of time together, it was nonsense! Why did the butterflies always come back?

“It’s everything alright, Master Jim?”

“Uh?”

He went back to the present, to Blinky and the box full of gems. He had one on his hand, bright yellow. He couldn’t remember taking it.

“Eh, yes, I was just... thinking.”

Blinky raised an eyebrow.

“Your only preocupation right now should be these gemstones. Some of the carvings have faded over time and it’s imperative that we find out what their powers are.”

Jim checked his phone. Blinky sighed.

“But of course your mobile device is more interesting.”

“It’s Claire.” Jim said. “She says she’ll be late.”

Blinky noticed how relieved Jim was and started to understand what was going on.

“What? She’ll be late and you’re calmer, as if you don’t really want to see her.”

“It’s not that.” Jim put the yellow gem in his Amulet, which glew in the same shade. “I’m freaking out because, no matter how much time we spend together...” he activated the armor. “... I still get those butterflies in my stomach.”
