I just for one want to say I fully believe that Armand did not lay hands on Daniel until he was asked to. I believe he lay there, looking beautiful and pathetic with no self worth or respect in all the world, and talked to Daniel until he asked him to do it. Said to him that Louis is about to make you rich, but I can make you immortal, and nothing can buy that. Played his words like he has with Louis, with Lestat, until Daniel reminds him of Louis' threat, but he's not going to. I'm going to make you to ask for it. Daniel understands how he works now, can see it all, but he wants it, has wanted it for so long, he doesn't even need convincing. And because Armand truly does it like nobody else he pulls the fastest most furious vampiric pump and dump the world will ever see. Maybe it's because he realises he's in love Daniel, but I'm willing to bet, it's because he realises he's never been in love with any of them.

We had a power outage for almost 30 hours and I ended up just writing letters by candle light and reading by the fire. And I will say I have changed my mind about Sharpe's Rifles now that I've finished it: I actually thoroughly enjoyed it, and it's probably one of my favorite Sharpe books. Yes, there's a Teresa shaped hole in it, but even past that I loved the character development, I love how detailed it is, the action is really good, and Vivar is more interesting, I think, than we get in the films. My favorite bit was definitely the end because it throws you for a loop and has a surprise reveal that even shocked me bc I hadn't put two and two together which I really liked- it showed off Sharpe's cleverness and, though he struggled, his ability to lead men and go above and beyond to get the job done. I honestly think I like it more than Eagle, because Sharpe's already established as a good officer in that one, having earned the respect of his men, versus Rifles where there's danger on all sides and you get to see how he earned that respect. Plus I'm a sucker for partisans so I like seeing how Sharpe interacts with his environment and around others outside of the military.

Now I'm just waiting impatiently on the local bookstore to find their copies of Havoc, Fury, and Battle, and I can continue!

i have never been this excited about a second season of a show !!!!! it's kind of wild to me that it's a real thing that exists. so many cancelled shows have made me less optimistic for renewals, but it's incredible that this story is really going to continue !! the first season didn't really get any advertisement at all, it was all just by queer word of mouth. and i think that's lovely !! it just shows what we can make happen when we band together :] (it'd be even better if hbo max paid their writers and actors fair living wages though,, just saying,,) i can't wait to watch this silly pirate show and for online to be like march of last year again !! october 5th we're so back !! we're all in the brainrot again folks

this doooes make me think of an interesting point and im gonna go on a tangent here but like. the way his appointment as kings justice was a wedding gift from robert to tywin.. he was openly being used as a political tool and from that point on that would become his sole purpose. kings justice or not in this society hes kinda doomed to be isolated but now this job has made his name synonymous with execution, and children and grown men are afraid of you at that point what can you even do. his room description is full of amazing characterizing details that make so much sense, its easy to think that if you were put in his position you'd run away or take revenge or something radical like that but chances are you'd also be sitting there rotting in your vermin-infested shit-stinking room drinking yourself to sleep every day. the smell of rotting food is a great detail too, like aside from eating just physically being difficult maybe starving himself is also a way to retain some semblance of control over his life? food (lol) for thought.
