Using snacks to teach them maths. Turns out, addition, subtraction and multiplication are ALL far more fun when you can eat the answers! That was that deliciously fresh seafood by the beach in Positano. Amazing! Finished off with fresh fig tart and lemon granita. Couldn’t ask for more. This is how we work the basis of our nutrition in our family. Some people think it is extreme, but I think we are very very lucky to have all been born healthy and fit and so we should look after, care and nourish our bodies as much as we can. Sure, there is always more we can do and year on year we tweak and add things into our diet and our daily activity to try and be better and improve. Every day is a school day- we are constantly learning how and what to do. In principle we eat real food, eat as much organic as possible, avoid supermarkets and eateries with processed aisles and menus and just try to eat based on our ancestors. Yes we are low carb and no we don’t eat grains but this is an extension of our original thinking. Other people think we are strange are extreme but if we keep worrying about them and their choices and what they think I seriously think I would never get out of bed. It really hurts me to see the damage some people are doing to themselves and often I feel like giving advice but I know I have to bite my tongue and just let them make their own choice. This is what we have done with our children- we’ve encouraged them to eat well based on knowledge and education and when they see other children consuming vast amounts of sugar or junk food we just say ‘that’s their choice’ and leave it at that. This morning ive been busy.

i grilled my chicken (marinated in pesto) and made the salad for my lunch in work, as well as packing 3 large rice cakes.

i moved on to breakfast which was strawberry granola. i used the thing in the picture to scoop it out, as thats its job. its portion control for cereal. much easier that getting the scales out. And well all know we never do that and end up eating way to much cereal. *i didnt measure the milk *

On to the drinks.

my water in in the fridge with the fruit in it and my morning cuppa is raspberry and blueberry green tea from tesco.

Tonight im meeting some friends for a meal and a  few drinks but im gonna be good.
