Overwhelmed with how much paperwork I had to do, I skipped 2 opportunities to go to workout classes today to get work done. It really derailed the entire day to not stick to my schedule and I did not hit a single goal. Not sure if the lesson here is to stick to my routines, or if it’s to learn to pivot when life gets in the way. Stay tuned

So I had been watching a Twitch streamer (shout out to TryTryAgain) and she was discussing Miku’s many designs with her chat. That’s when I realized that I had never drawn our beloved Vocaloid singer before. So, here she is!

I went with her V4 design because I wanted to do a simple bust as an example for both commissions and the art raffle I’m holding on Instagram rn. She has so many great designs and I’m hoping to draw more of them in the future!

After some feedback from my friend and talent artist @jaqueline.du I reworked the bread. It was a scary process, because the water color was refusing to come up nearly as much as I thought I needed, but in the end I think it worked out for the best! Also worked on the wood grains for the knife handle and mug. I'm trying to get through the browns so I can clean my working pallet areas before moving on to brasses, silvers and then the last of the colors. But just a bit ago I came downstairs to make my kids dinner and I slipped down the last few steps and hit a lot of things, including my back, rather hard. I'm okay, I'm pretty sure, but I think I'm done painting for tonight. Let's hope I'm not completely laid up tomorrow. The new White Gold glaze is finally working! Woot! Minuscule changes alter these glazes so frickin’ dramatically. I have had this glaze for well over a year, but couldn’t get it to form crystals. One degree hotter and one minute extra hold at the top temp. One Degree!
