fun fact for anyone who uses custom themes / URL:

I just found out that if you try to share your tumblr URL (where your theme is) with the share button on mobile, it will copy a link to TUMBLR to your clipboard instead of your actual URL:

basically, if you’re at your custom URL and use this:

(The button that’s supposed to share your current web address)

It will send you to this:

[ https:// www. Tumblr. com / (your-blog) ]

Instead of this:

[ (your-custom-url). Tumblr. Com ]

Because tumblr wants more traffic but has to be sneaky about it I guess, I tried this with both the in-app browser and chrome AND safari and it still happened lol

Oh, yeah, I know. But I don't know how to fix it, and the person I bought the code from never responded to my email, so uh.. yeah... there's no other deltarune [tumblr] themes out there (to my knowledge) and I've been too lazy to remove it (and also I'm afraid it'll fuck up my domain thing)

So if anyone can make me a new one, I'll like- idk- make you art or something? I can pay you like- $10 (I think that's how much I paid for the theme) If you'd prefer. I may know HTML, but [tumblr] themes are outta my knowledge range...

TLDR: I can't contact the og creator of the code so if I'll play someone to make me a new one if they're willing :p

If you're talking about my desktop theme, it's Neon by @/xuethms! You can see more of their work on their ko-fi :) all you have to do is copy the coding into the custom theme html on tumblr desktop

I love how accessible you're making the new site. It shows how much you care and it's wonderful :) not a lot of creators would go to lengths like this

thank you so much ;u; that's honestly my whole goal, i've always cared a lot about reader experience which is why i had the original content warning system implemented in the first place. the reboot originally was hosted on w*rdpress, but w*rdpress was way too limiting for me and didn't give me those tools i needed - so i decided to code the entire site myself.

however, when i originally built the site, i was 17 and... not very experienced. all my knowledge of web design came from making tumblr themes back in the day. i learned a lot over the past few years but the site had such a fatal flaw, the fact it was set on a foundation of an inexperienced coder made some parts of it relatively unusable.

though the saturation toggler was implemented to try and help with eye strain, it wasn't enough. there were still a lot of problems with the site, ESPECIALLY the mobile version, and a lot of stuff that people needed. the most requested feature from years ago was the ability to disable content warnings, but i... didn't know how to do that. but now i do! and the system is even better than just switching them on or off - you can literally selectively choose what type of content you don't want to see.

stuff like bookmarking and the arrow placement was also a huge thing that the site desperately needed. literally everything could be improved, but i didn't know how to do that when the OG code was so fucking bad. its a nightmare looking at it or trying to change anything in it now.

so... the revamp began. i want the new site and reader experience to be as comfortable as possible. it's really important to me! and i am absolutely confident that every reader regardless of platform is going to be relieved by a lot of features i've added. some stuff i've added PEOPLE DIDN'T EVEN ASK FOR but i promise it'll be great

I was thinking... I had this idea to make a tumblr theme that would make a page on tumblr function like a fanfic archive with fandoms and story cards and stuff, but I don't know how to do that. I'm not really a coder. Are there any coders that follow you that can say if it's possible?

I don't want to stay on AO3, but have nowhere to go that isn't worse somehow in functionality. So if I have to, I could make my own simple html site to display my fics but I'd rather if there was a whole site for it and I'm not a coder, I can't make a site-site.

I wondered if we couldn't all just get together, put our heads together and pool our money to get someone to code a new site for people who are against romanticization of abuse material and stuff.

But it's so hard to do that because we have no central thing to gather around. Is there a coder in the community who's trying to do this? Someone we can donate to who makes regular updates and such? Something focused entirely on fanfic? The only other option I came up with was the tumblr theme thing so we can use tumblr search and blocking and blacklisting and stuff...

Buenas tardes, venimos a dejar un mensaje después de un par de asks, para no repetirnos. Pedimos disculpas por adelantado, pero el año no ha empezado excepcionalmente bien para un servidor y es mejor tener la cabeza tranquila antes de publicar algo mal escrito.

Se ha compartido cierto documento que acusa a este blog y a sus mantenedores de "difamar" o criticar a cierto foro por un enfrentamiento (en Marzo de 2022, a nuestro conocimiento). Dicha conversación no se dio en un canal privado con pocos miembros o sólo miembros de moderación: esta conversación se dio en el canal de #debates de la categoría General del servidor del Almacén, un servidor de acceso libre (tienen la publicación fijada en este mismo blog), en el cual a día de hoy hay cerca de 190 usuarios de discord que pueden leer y comentar. Ciertos comentarios provinieron de gente colaboradora, en su momento, de El Almacén, pero que no han ayudado en el mantenimiento del blog desde hace años.

En el momento en el que se dan estos mensajes, en 2022, los colaboradores habituales del Almacén eran Necromancer Coding, Mary Skins y King Codes, y en ocasiones, Soliloquy. Este blog colaborativo ha pasado por muchas manos (Gitano, te echamos de menos). A día de hoy, el 90% del mantenimiento corre a cargo de Necro.

Como colaborador y mantenedor del Almacén y su fundador, yo, Necromancer, aparezco en dichas capturas, y los mensajes siguen en el servidor de discord pues no dije nada que no creyese cierto. Mis clientes saben de primera mano que ellos pueden hacer los cambios que deseen en sus skins, pero en mi portfolio figurará el diseño que yo entregué en su momento, sin los cambios de la administración (salvo contadas excepciones y siempre preguntando primero a dicha administración). De hecho, hago esa misma broma en uno de los mensajes que se ven en la captura. Pero no quiero desviarme del tema en cuestión con justificaciones, en mi opinión, innecesarias en este momento.

Es en lo único en lo que nos podemos posicionar de manera firme, puesto que el servidor de discord es una comunidad abierta donde lo único que tienes que hacer para comentar en ese canal en concreto es aceptar las normas del mismo y "recibir color". Cuando este tema se dio en su momento por el post de Entourage Themes, no se le dio reblog en El Almacén, como pueden comprobar.

No publicamos un anuncio en su momento (de nuevo, este caso es de 2022) porque no se nos hizo llegar ninguna prueba de la otra parte y si se compartió en algún tumblr de conversación, tristemente no lo leí (de nuevo, como fundador del Almacén, es mi responsabilidad y la considero tal). Al tener sólo un mensaje de desvinculación por parte de Entourage, no consideramos que el caso fuese más que eso, un desacuerdo entre dos partes que debía resolverse entre las mismas. ¿Debí interesarme más, buscar información de la otra parte? Por supuesto. En ese punto no diré otra cosa.

Queremos decir que hay puntos del documento que nos parecen irrelevantes para la situación que se está dando y que es algo que no consideramos una estafa tanto como un conflicto entre lo que quería el cliente y lo que se le dio y mala comunicación. Pero creemos que como blog de almacenaje de códigos para foros de rol esa porción no nos compete juzgar, sino a potenciales clientes de dichos coders. Sin embargo, es cierto que hay ciertos puntos (relacionados con los créditos y tablillas de terceros) que nos gustaría que se aclarasen por parte de Entourage habiendo visto el documento de la otra parte, y en caso de no darse una respuesta que nos satisfaga, igual que se ha hecho en otros casos, El Almacén no hará reblog a dicha parte en el futuro cercano.

Queremos cerrar con una petición a un diálogo civilizado. Esta situación se ha dado entre terceras personas que no pertenecen a la moderación y equipo de mantenimiento del Almacén. El Almacén se creó para que no se perdieran entre las grietas de tumblrs los numerosos coders ante la falta de un foro central de códigos en esta década, y seguirá siendo eso por delante. Hacemos esto por apoyar a la comunidad en lo que podemos, y lo seguiremos haciendo hasta que la comunidad no nos necesite, porque significará que se ha vuelto al almacenamiento de códigos que la comunidad usaba hace años.

I inserted your fix and oh my goodness, when I refreshed that particular page and nothing came up, it felt like I was seeing my blog for the first time. What a feeling! Thank you so much for that. Because it seems you do custom blogs and have a know how, I thought that whole mature content label was solely happening on the app. Under posts, I noticed it on my computer. I hate that that post I made almost exactly 2 years ago is needed at all and tumblr still hasn't walked that nonsense back yet but I'm so glad you and others are finding it helpful.

It sounds like you're still having some other related issue but unfortunately I don't know what you're referring to. If you can give me more detailed info, or better yet, link some specific examples, I'm happy to help. I'm definitely not a theme coder, but I have dabbled in theme customization and html/css and I'll try my best!

Hello everyone!

We have news for you. Finally there has been more progress with the game even though it’s been almost a year since our last game update.

I want to assure you that Chapter 4 is almost ready for beta.

What I’d like to share right now is what’s been going on during the silence!

1. NEW CODER Firstly and biggest news, Yours Truly has another coder! Kame’s still a coder, we just have a 2nd one now! Warm welcome to @queenlilithprime and big thanks for their help. Pls support them and their works too (no minors tho pls)

Lily occasionally posts devlogs in their blog for the projects they work on so you might see the game’s code devlog there!

2. DAY TO CHAPTER As you may notice, the name of each “Day” is no longer going to be referred to as Day since it doesn’t follow a day by day sequence. So moving forward, it will be “Chapter”. Plus it fits the theme ✨

3. NO MORE MONTHLY DEVLOGS We stopped doing Devlogs. The reason is simply because of how slow we’ve been working on the game due to our business and general lack of motivation. It’s an added stress when logging out what’s been going on even though it would be good to do so. This was more of a personal thing so I apologize if the lack of devlogs makes it seem like we’ve halted the game. We assure you we’re not abandoning the project.

4. CLOSED DISCORD SERVER Though not a lot would have noticed, Nemukura Studio no longer has its Twitter and we closed the discord server from the public. Our reasons is simply because we bit off more than we could chew and it was an easier idea to just manage a tumblr account instead of other sites.

Lo siento, pero no voy a contestar cosas respecto a Blank Themes más que nada porque Genius Panda ( @code-lab ) dejó de traducir cosas porque pensaba que no llegaba a gente de fuera, y la mejor forma de apoyar a coders de plataformas de FA no hispanas es ¡yendo a contactar con ellos directamente! Igual que a mí no me gustaría que otro coder explicase cosas respecto a mis codes si yo estoy activo en tumblr, you know.

Blank Theme es en efecto un skin base con muchas prestaciones extras ya creadas específicamente para este, y honestamente la traducción a español automática no es mala en absoluto. Y basta decir que es un recurso chulísimo y muy bien trabajado por Kim. ¡Saludos!

Hello! Sorry to bother you, but maybe you have a tip on where to start tumblr coding. I've already coded an rpg forum, but I'd like to give tumblr a chance as well, only there I'm afraid that if I screw something up, I'll be banned... That's why I thought I'd ask you if you have any ideas, tips for a beginner tumblr coder. Thank you in advance for your answer! :)

Hey there! It's not a bother at all! I'm probably not the best person to come to for coding advice though since I only make side pages and not full themes lol. But! Don't worry, you won't get banned for messing up! Idk how forums work, but you should feel free to mess with your own theme as much as you want and if you break stuff, it'll only affect you and your blog, so you should be good! I will say though that it's better to mess around on a sideblog (and request permission to use javascript) rather than messing up your personal blog lol.

i don't think people even use tumblr on desktop anymore but i just finished redoing my blog’s desktop theme for fun and i think it looks v classy and cute :> i had to play with the HTML to fix a few things tho. yes i am a coder

Set up a private jcink site (offline) where you upload your skins and switch between accounts.// I was taught to do this almost 13 years ago when I first started rping and coding as a kid. Do it with tumblr themes on blogs and pages to store my gifs incase I ever lose them.
