I think a lot about Leo’s tendency to push his way into the spotlight despite clearly being a natural in the shadows. Hell, you could argue that his worst moments are when he’s forcing himself onstage, and his best are when he does things no one notices until it’s already been done.

Okay, people understand that you don't just tag things "for exposure," right? If you slap a bunch of completely unrelated tags onto the end of your post, at best you're going to achieve the opposite of what you want because people are going to be annoyed at you, ignore your post entirely, and block you. At worst, people are going to (justifiably, because spamming unrelated tags like that is against the TOS) report you for spam.

It's bad enough to go into a tag and have to block a bunch of pornbots, but seeing someone fall for a fundraiser scam, answer said scam ask, and then tag their answer with a whole bunch of completely unrelated popular topics is just insane. At least the bots have an excuse for being brainless.

Mikey Goes To Oz

<Time spent: 49 hours 17 minutes>

When Mikey takes some time away from a loud family squabble he accidentally ends up getting “flushed” down the sewers. This winds up sending him to the colorful land of Oz where he meets a good witch, a wicked witch, a brainless scarecrow, a heartless Tinman, a cowardess lion, and a powerful wizard, all disguised behind very familiar faces.

A canon adjacent spin off set before the season one finale but after they discover Splinter is Lou Jitsu

I wanted to fit each of the boys into their “you’ve had this all along” category. Leo isn’t brainless, in fact he’s pretty clever with a street smart, people reading ability on par with Donnie’s intelligence. Donnie isn’t heartless, he just has a tough time expressing his feelings. They are complex and unalgorithic but he can get just as excited or sad or angry as anyone, as much as he may deny it. Raph isn’t a coward, but being brave sometimes means admitting you’re scared and that you maybe don’t have all the answers. You dont have to be strong all the time and you don’t have to do it by yourself.

In the movie Dorothy’s journey home is also a representation of her running away. The important thing was to remember there were people who cared about her. Mikey is experiencing a similar phenomenon, wanting the escape the bad vibes in the lair. His “you’ve had it all along” is interesting because it is an object, since the Ruby kneepads could’ve taken him home the whole time. And sometimes getting home means going on a journey only to realize you never left.

I put April as Glinda because Glinda appears as a defender of the weak, and I see April in a similar light. Always willing to help and beat someone up if it is so required. Splinter as The Wizard of Oz represents Splinters own willingness to hide behind different personas, his running from the past and the pulling back of the curtain for Mikey in timeline. The Wizard grows through the movie, albeit quickly, and ends up leaving Oz to go home leaving his legacy with the scarecrow, the Tinman, and the lion. In this case the passing of the baton to his sons.

Meanwhile Draxum as the wicked witch felt much more how Mikey sees Draxum at this time in the show, mostly just an antagonistic force who wants something from them. Fun fact: I imagine throughout this dream, Draxum is uninterested in being the wicked witch but is pressed into it via plot. Hence his disinterest in being “melted.”

Additional characters not pictured: Big Mama as the Wicked Witch of the East (those were her Ruby kneepads!!) and Todd as the Mayor of Munchkin Land. If you can think of more, feel free to leave them in the comments or tags.

rottmnt crossover with the 2003 series where Angelo accidentally teleports himself into the 03 universe & has to stay with the guys for a bit.

He gets along best with Mikey, surprisingly well with Don and Raph, but is constantly butting heads with Leo.

The guys go from a little surprised by this to extremely surprised when it comes out that this is because Mikey reminds him of his Leo, while 03!Leo reminds him of his Raph.

Does Zombie Donnie sleep? Or does he just watch the others sleep?

“Guys!”

Raph pops his head out from behind the tree at the same moment that Leo trips over a root in panic. He lets him faceplant into a bush without remorse and then takes another look at the little brother who knows that yelling in any environment is a no good.

Docile zombies are silent until they sense prey. Very easy to miss until they make themselves known. They’ve been taken by surprise in the forest too often for Mikey to be making this same mistake.

“Donnie’s down,” Casey comments from beside him, adjusting the strap of his backpack. Donnie is, in fact, very down.

He’s completely slack on the ground, face buried in the grass like he was trying to improve Leo’s technique. He isn’t moving and doesn’t seem to be breathing. Not this again.

Mikey’s wringing his hands nervously, like Donnie doesn’t do this at least once a week, and Leo walks over to touch his neck.

“He dead?” Casey asks, not sounding to hopeful. Leo shakes his head, “Pulse is still there.”

“Darn.”

Mikey scowls at Casey, so Raph thwaps the back of his head.

“Hey!” His best friend whines as April shoves through them. She puts a finger to her lips with a frustrated look and then walks over to the others. Casey glares at him. Raph shrugs.

“Carry or leave?” April asks quietly, kneeling by his side. For a girl who has almost been bitten by their tag-along more times than Raph has fingers, she is always weirdly calm about getting near him.

Then again, when a Zombie shuts down, it’s not getting back up until it’s body is ready to resume mindlessly hunting. A Zombie on the ground was a Zombie that needed to be striked through the head or heart, unless it had already been done.

“This path is too populated,” Leo must be thinking along the same lines. “He’s going to be hard to miss.”

“I got him,” Raph takes off his bag and swings it at Casey’s chest. He yelps and catches it, groaning something under his breath as Raph makes his way over to his brothers.

“You’re sure?” Mikey chimes in. “I can do it.”

Raph knows that Mikey is more than willing to babysit. He also knows that if Mikey stumbles, lags, or complains in even the most minor of ways, Leo’s going to sincerely rethink leaving him for dead.

“I got it,” He mutters as he turns him on his carapace. He gives his back a rest, scooping under his shoulders and knees to lift him. There’s not a speck of tension or movement from the brother that used to tower over all of them. Once again, Raph reminds himself that Donnie’s not getting smaller. He’s just not growing with them.

He looks at Leo. His older brother nods and waves for everyone to keep moving. Mikey eagerly takes the bag off Casey’s hands, probably trying to find a way to be helpful before minds change.

He never likes leaving Donnie behind, even if he has the tendency to find his way back to them. Mikey hurries to his side, bag cradled in his arms, and April smiles at him before jogging to catch up with their leader. Casey shuts his trap and heads after them.

A bird chirps in the distance. They keep moving.

Soooo late on this but I love how much robby and sam genuinely like demetri and enjoy being friends with him in s2??? like they're all hanging out outside of miyagi-do, they find his neuroticisms funny but they're not laughing at him? They're not just tolerating his company and rolling their eyes when he says something nerdy or complains you can tell they genuinely like being around him they really do just like him as he is and don't make him feel like he has to change I just ughhhhhh
