do you know those images of animals absolutely covered in blood after eating a yummy meal. thats what this was inspired by

creeps doesn't, technically, need to eat, just like jack doesn't. it is a good boost of energy, but with their body being dead (and creep's weird abilities letting them do whatever they want anyway), it doesn't give them anything substantial. that doesn't stop creeps from LOVING to eat though

creeper will eat anything and everything. metal. plastic. fruit. concrete. glass. it's part of the reason why it can't be contained, since it'll just chew a hole through anything eventually

creeps does partake occasionally in human snacks, too. human snacks being people that have been turned into snacks. while creeper is not typically bloodthirsty, it is very unpredictable and curious, and usually just follows whatever it's instincts tell it to do - which, sometimes, includes maiming and eating people

but don't worry, it doesn't hunt people very often. ivy and creeps have a deal where it'll take all of the bones and other inedible stuff off of her hands after she's done eating someone. creeps would never pass up easy snackies

I'm going to preface this by saying that I have really complex feelings about this, and much of it is inspired by my personal experiences and a bit of learning about what other trans people experience. If I come across as messy, it is because of these reasons.

There's this unshakable feeling I have that when allies and even other trans people talk about trans people, transition and motivation for transition, and anything related to such, that there's only certain things that x type of trans person can (and should) experience and talk about.

Like, when people talk about FtMs/trans men/transmasc people, a common idea is that we're motivated to transition to game the system, to manipulate people into treating us better because we're now seen as men. A huge reason I never even bought into that idea is because, since transition (especially medical), I have been treated worse than I ever have been. Since transitioning and being on testosterone, I've been catcalled, had people insist I hand my number over, and I have to emphasize that I've never experienced these things until a couple of years ago (to clarify, this was in my real, corporeal life). I honestly can say that, while transition has saved my life and soul, I am treated worse by others than I ever had been pre-transition. However, because the idea of transmascs is that "they were victims of misogyny and they only want to escape it through transition" is popular even among some trans people, I feel like it's almost... taking something away by acknowledging that. Add to this that I'm white and that TPoC have so many experiences that intertwine with race, and that race absolutely goes into how trans people are treated.

I am not saying that my experience is the only valid or true one. I am very aware that I'm probably an outlier. However, I just notice that, time and time again, people hear what they want to hear about transness, and if people have even slightly different points of view from their experiences, it doesn't matter, or worse, those people are duplicitous and conniving.

Finally posting my piece for @twsthorrorzine !! it was very challenging to get out of my comfort zone and draw something horror-esque for once but I've been wanting to do it for a long time and I suppose it was worth it 😭!

Idk if I’m wrong or not but if I remember correctly doesn’t Clear Sky once slash Quick Water for daring to question him? I very vividly remember her confronting him about something and him getting pissed and slashing her over it.

I remember it being Falling Feather, but can't check the book atm (fighting a sea lion rn, yes i have my harpoon dw)

But yes he does lose his shit on one of the two, it's in The First Battle after Thunder comes back to SkyClan for (iirc) a negotiation purpose. She says goodbye to Thunder too nicely and Clear Sky reprimands her about it.

Afterwards, he jumps in front of the whole Clan and says that everyone is allowed to abuse her however they'd like until she's learned her lesson. He compares her to a snake in the dirt. They're allowed to bully her, steal her prey, and command her however they'd like.

But like, he was just sad about his wives, so it's ok actually.

Hi Hello apparently I didn't empty my tank yet.

So fun general headcanon: Emmet likes to cook. He makes most of the meals in the house and often brings homemade food to special events as a way to show his appreciation of whoever he has over. It's how he relieves stress, shows affection, tries new things, it's one of his key interests beyond battling.

This has slightly different connotations in Battle Addict. See Emmet studies the physical properties of pokemon, how they tick and how to make them stop ticking. A key part of his studies is sketching pokemon and outlining their internal structures, but there's no teacher like experience. His favourite way to improve his knowledge is dealing with the subject hands on, and cooking is a very good way to do that. He specifically practices butchery, breaking pokemon down section by section, noting the musculature, skeletal structure, and organs inside. This information helps him to find weakness in an opponent's pokemon while knowing how to cover his own.

This also serves as bonding time for him and Ingo because Ingo gets to be sous chef while Emmet turns a monster into mincemeat. He hands him the different tools he needs and they converse while Emmet slices and picks apart the carcass. Emmet also gets to explain the inner workings of the pokemon, which both of them enjoy analyzing and discussing.

The book Emmet is holding is his "butchery book", which is really just a collection of different biology textbooks he uses as guides to best break down carcasses. They always end up getting messy and after a certain point, he just stops caring and uses it, dirty as it may be. They have to be stored in a sealed container away from their other study materials, and are only ever brought out for processing. Emmet is probably the only person who can stand to be next to the stench of the concentrated dried blood throughout the pages, Ingo usually wears some kind of face cover when Emmet is working.

I saw this dead fox earlier today in the base of an electric tower and it looked weirdly beautiful, it also reminded me a lot of @strangebiology 's work (can't wait for Carcass!!) and the photos on her blog, I don't know if they died because of the electric tower itself or just ended randomly on its base but I hoped they died quickly.

#TW snakes sneks deadthings

Ok, this is a little gross, so if you dislike gross or have a fear of snakes do not expand the post.

I found a dead garter snake in my back yard last week, and it had been there long enough to have all of these cool beetles devouring it, including this cool Margined Carrion Beetle (Oiceoptoma noveboracense). The beetle had died for whatever reason, I hope it maybe laid eggs in the snake carcass so its offspring can carry on.
