We've been quiet for a bit working on getting cases and picks out the door, upgrading the shop, and putting together a new product. This time of year is full of crazy discounts by many case companies, like "buy 3, get 4 free", which we don't do because we're actually making these ourselves with files, sandpaper, and endless endmills, and not just grabbing a box shipped from somewhere else and slapping a logo on it. Every case from us is made by us, from our recycled paper Richlite material, in our little shop in southern Minnesota, just like when we started in 2011. We're not on Amazon, or in big box stores. We've been a longtime fan of Minnesotan artist @aaronhorkey and his intensely detailed pen and ink art. This illustration, called The Rook, was originally commissioned by our pal Matt @weight_one, who saw an engraved example we gave Aaron a number of years ago, and it stuck with him. Matt asked if we could do another iPhone case, and couldn't decide between polished black Richlite and Black Walnut, so we made both!
