had a dream the title of rental car book two was just KEEP LEFT UNLESS OVERTAKING

(anyway today was moving day!!! so I'm too exhausted to post anything else. I woke up to post this. goodnight again. be good drivers y'all)

#do bear in mind I'm Australian so. left is our ''slower'' lane #so the title is exactly what it says on the tin #and not like. KEEP LEFT UNLESS OVERTAKING in a setting where one ought to keep right unless overtaking #but anyway #pros:#- will be shortened simply to ''keep left'' when i am talking about it and that feels nice in my brain #cons:#- i have no clue what the relevance is to the plot LMAO #- it means both titles so far have the word left in them therefore book three must as well #a rental car takes a left down rake street and disappears #keep left unless overtaking #two more thoughts:#could b fun to instead of keep left unless overtaking. to do some kind of funky fantasy spin on it #keep something unless overtaking #keep left unless something #OR.#going from rental car to keep left using left as a direction to a final book in the trilogy using left as a descriptor of like....#what is Left #is no one left? is anything left? these are the questions we ask in these harrowing times. all that's left is what #anyway as much as keep left unless overtaking doesn't even make SENSE as a title it or something close to it has #clicked in that annoying way things have of Clicking where its just so perfect and satisfying i worry nothing will ever feel right #tbf lots of my story titles are the same - something clicks and then i just make it work #and by GOD do i make it work #also i figured out how to make it work literally just then. hm #but still keep left unless overtaking is too straightforward and normal it needs a Kick #like. the ''and disappears'' is what gives the first title a dash of intrigue #but idk idk im going back to sleepb I'm falling asleep <3

He has only moments left to live.#I honestly thought LQR died (adaption memory blur) and I did *not* expect him to show up here.#That said it does act as a way more personal blow to LWJ's reputation for LQR to be there.#By staying on WWX's side he's not only throwing his reputation to the wind but also facing familial judgment.#It hits so much harder when the choice isn't an easy one to make.#Choosing to stand at someone's side when they *have* actually messed up - when they do have faults and flaws - that's love.#Love is hard work! Love is not low maintenance and good days every day.#Love is being able to say 'I am choosing to bear your weight when things are heavy.' Love is doing that reciprocally.#Which is 100% a real life lesson I am passing on #And also a plea for why it is so important we give credit to WWX's atrocities.#He *did* do some of that shit. He isn't fully innocent and it gives LWJ's choice so much more weight.

Jack Desmond is the silly guy. Gavriel Huffman is the scary guy. They come from different worlds that has contrasting genres, one more cartoonishly comedic and the other much dramatically darker.

It's kind of a running gag that Sir Huffman is unable to laugh without looking absolutely wicked. Both in the cartoon world and his own world.

That doesn't stop Jack from being completely smitten with him though, his voice is the most mind-melting thing he's ever had the pleasure to hear

#who'd have thunk #we're all shocked i know #i forced myself to go to supermarket and ended up clinging to the shopping cart to stay upright #took two hours to stop shaking from exertion #then immediately corralled the cat to tend to his rash #mfer struggles and protests until he realizes all over again that it feels quite nice actually #and then goes deadweight and purrs *while* warbling mournfully #presumably just on principle #but it's all still more spoons than I can spare #i need to take him to the vet for his follow up in a bit #so fucking drained #send thoughts and prayers #ugh #chronic illness #spoonie #disability #knee of huss
