So i made a ton of memes on dinotrux but THIS ONE keeps popping up. Ive seen people repost it on other platforms crediting me and everyone in the comments just goes "oh megatruxfr xd". Pausing and accidentally making a TyStructs meme made me more well known them my complex ass fanart and 4 or 3 minute long videos. Its just creatures like these that shoot you trough the roof

I believe its still on my inactive pinterest account, but its on Youtube too, somewhere in my community posts and its been videoed by some people. Its so fun to see everyone likes the dinotrux appreciation <3

I was tempted to do that one meme but with Ty-Structs and made it a bit angsty. The gays you see almost died but miraculously lived with very “little” damage. Won’t say what went down till all characters have a Gijinka art style. Now take the freshly hatched feathery freak.

OKAY SO I’ve been thinking about Dinotrux again and I wanted to talk to about the T. trux a little bit bc I’m a palaeontology student ❤️

okay so like, when I first watched the show I always wondered why they were so feared when they never seem to do much 😭 like, in the crater things never even seemed too bad w/ just D-Structs, it only got like super evil when his brother showed up, but at the same time they are the villains of a kids show, they are supposed to pull shit like this, it only really seemed to draw from the fact that T.rexes were probably apex predators in real life

Besides the anger issues that seem prevalent in our main trux I don’t want to go right ahead and say that’s our main problem bc 4 T. trux in the entire series isn’t a big sample pool, so looking back at their real world counterpart I think they might be feared sm bc T.rexes are generally considered opportunistic, both a predator and a scavenger, in the very beginning of the show Ty rolls into and literally just takes some food bc people got scared away by him just existing 😭 so like, it’s clearly happened before

then later on when D-Structs and D-Stroy take control of the crater they had a tendency to steal ore than find it themselves, so the fact that they’re opportunistic seems likely, and large territory battles between them probably scares a lot of bystanders too, which helps fear spread when people tell stories

If I am so bold to lean into headcannon territory, I think it would be fun if they were probably still predators in some way, like, we have the scrap animals that eat dinotrux, and since T.trux already prove to have opportunistic tendencies, who’s to say they haven’t decided to tear into a carcass? Besides, if some of them decide to eat other species that also helps their fearsome reputation spread but again, this is all head cannon that I like to apply whenever I think of them 😭

New idea: Ty has no idea how T-Truxes play together. When he finally managed to befriend D-Structs, he doesn’t understand why he still wants to fight him and the others sometimes until he asks and D-Structs just tells him that’s how he and his brother used to play, so he figured that’s how it’s done.

This leads to another headcanon that D-Structs knows how much strength can go into play fights. If his brother plays with him, he knows he can go full out. If it’s Skrap-It, he doesn’t use much strength, just enough to pose a challenge to the small scraptool.

What’s my favorite character in Dinotrux?

Blayde! SHE IS SO COOL AND HER DESIGN LOOKS SO AMAZING!! LIKE I LOVE SHE IS GIRLBOSS CHARACTER AND SMART LIKE THE BOOTY TRAPS IN HER CAVE, THE WAY SHE FOOLED THE DINOTRUX INTO THINKING THAT GEORGE WAS IN HER CAVE BUT WASNT, AND HAVING A BACKSTORY!!

However, she was done dirty in the show. Same thing with Pounder and Spittor. I wish we get to see them again.

I do have some negatives about Blayde. D-Structs is the reason that she was evil in the first place! No because D-Structs attack Dozer and Blayde’s herd. HE LITERALLY TOOK AND DESTROYED EVERYTHING THAT THEY HAD. I would understand Blayde would have a revenge arc but instead, she just bullies other dinotrux. I don’t understand why she did that instead. Not only that, SHE JOINED THE SAME PERSON(D-STRUCTS) WHO LITERALLY TOOK EVERYTHING AWAY FROM HER!! Maybe D-Structs manipulated her to join his side or Blayde would backstabbed D-Structs in the end but no, it didn’t happen.

I wish they give Blayde more character development.. I love her. Also I feel like Blayde and Knock-It would be besties because they hate D-Structs. Also they would be unstoppable together. Same thing for Blayde and Pounder.. They are cool as besties too.

Dinotrux species explained in detail: T Trux

Species name: Tyrannosaurus Trux (T Trux)

Living place: Land

Heights: 30 to 40+ feet (Ty: 38 ft - D Structs: 39 ft)

Predator / predatory: predator

Vehicle hybrid: Excavator

Dinosaur hybrid: Tyrannosaurus Rex

Way of life: can live in a herd or group, but naturally lives alone.

Traits: Territorial, dominant, often slightly selfish, unsocial, short tempered

Summary

The Tyrannosaurus Trux is a large Dinotrux species that is estimated to be one of the biggest land trux. The large predator is feared by most Dinotrux, for they are known as dominant and territorial.

Weapons

Wrecking ball tail: T Trux are armed with a replacable wrecking ball on their tails. This is their most notorious weapon and the first one they use when fightning. A powerful swing from this ball can smash entire trux out of the way, can cause avalages and rockslides and break ore veins out of the ground with just one smash. So its understandable that a smash from a T Trux's wrecking ball can cause serious damage to targets if hit, one slam is even capable of screwing up other dinotrux's systems when hit hard enough.

Powerful jaws: The T Trux has some of the most powerful jaws the Mechazoïcum has ever known with an estimated bite force of a whopping 435,000 per square inch. Maybe even stronger, because T Trux can bite right trough metal and solid rock without any problems. The lower jaw is (most of the time) armed with big teeth. The upper jaw usually has tinier teeth.

Diet & eating habits

T Trux naturally / usually eat ore, they can smell it and find it that way underground. They can eat rocks, but ore is a way better, heathier option and probably tastes better.

T Trux are shown to be able to survive a frequent amount of time without food. Ty drives around without food for the beginning of the show, proving the T Trux (or at least Ty) can survive at least 2 to 3 days without food or water. In the wind episode Ty has not eaten for approximately hours after saving his own food for his friends. He clearly is hungry, but isnt too bothered by it. Its unknown how long T Trux can go without water, but considering what happened in the pilot it could be the same as food, approximately 2 to 3 days.

Despite being feared, T Trux are dominant and territorial, but never shown to be carnivorous for as far as the series go. It is never proven that T Trux truly eat other Dinotrux, not even reptools. They just fight and kill. Wich.. makes it even worse, actually.

Predator functions

Notorious speed: T Trux don't usually drive that fast, but if they need to they can suddenly accelerate and not make much noice either. This is believed to be a predator function. I myself was most faschinated with this in the Pounder episode where the dinotrux attempt to catch the Pounder. Ty hides, counts, at at three he very quickly drives straight to his target, very smoothly without hitting anything despite being completely surrounded by trees. This is the first time we see Ty behave like a predator (or at least use his hunting functions) as he seems to not have any issues accelerating and driving straight to his target.

Extremely good hearing: Despite not having visible ears, the T Trux's hearing is very good. Ty can percisely track activities underground by just following a noise. In the desert scraptors episode Ty is seen tracking Click Clack while he is running underground. Ty hears everything really clearly, almost loses Click Clack twice, but easily gets back on track, brakes when he hears Click Clack stop and finds the exact spot to get Click Clack out of the ground. In the Gearwigs episode, the gearwigs surround a cave where D Structs, Blayde, Splitter and Pounder are in, D Structs hears the noise first and is the first to recognize it as gearwigs.

Powerful engine: The T Trux engine is built for power. The strong engine can generate more then 3,000 horsepower, plow right trough solid rock and turned to silent when the T Trux has to be quiet. If they have to T Trux can be eerily quiet for such a machine as a excavator + Tyrannosaurus Rex hybrid. In fact they can be so quiet even other trux can't hear them.

Hydraulic power and durabillity: T Trux have some of the most durable hydraulics of all land trux. Hydraulics are like muscles for a dinotrux and they can take an impressive amount of hits, especially the T Trux's. A thing T Trux seem to do a lot to look more intimidating is to open up the upper side of their treadmill, using a hydraulic pipe in there to push them open and appear bigger. When driving opening up the treadmills appearantly boosts their speed. There are a few times in the series where the treadmills are shown completely open - they can stand really wide. T Trux have very durable bodies in general. They are hunters, theyre built to last as long as possible, being able to survive enormous falls from cliffs, theyre able to take hits from a dreadtrux, they can survive avalages, rockslides and rocky water despite not being capable of swimming. Due to the fact theyre built to last long.

Weaknesses

The T Trux has one of the most powerful engines of all Dinotrux, wich means it runs hot faster. This makes them more vulnerable to heat. When a T Trux is in a very hot envorinment their engine heats up and they end up overheating wich can lead to engine damage followed by shutdown (death), proving Dinotrux can die of engine damage. In exchange fo the heat vulnerabillity, T Trux can stay warm lonfer in cold envorinments. Where other Dinotrux freeze up from cold and sometimes end up with jammed engines, T Trux have no problems in cold climates due to their engine that keeps them warm the whole time.

✨Dinotrux headcannons✨

Dozer and George are all related in some way; they are uncles and nephews. The thing is, George was excommunicated from Dozer's heard when Dozer was very young, so he doesn't have a lot of memory of George, but he does remember him as being very kind to Dozer and teaching him how to create mounds and jackhammers.

Ty is actually older than D-structs, but not older than D-stroy. I have a small head can in that they are 4 to 9 years apart, so in my AU they are 4 years apart, and Ty would be 21 or 22 or 23.

D-structs was once kicked out of a crater by his brother, and when he found a new one, there was already a T-Trux. They nearly scrapped D-structs, but thankfully he was able to escape, so that's why he was so resistant to Ty.

Ton-Ton has nightmares often, and he often goes to Ty to comfort him. This is semi-canon because of the one episode in the earlier seasons of Ty saying, "I don't care how bad your nightmare was; I'm not talking you back in."

After the Tortools came into Dozer's life, he started to act more like a parent to everyone. Yeah, this was pure torture to the others since whenever they would put themselves in dangerous situations, they wouldn't only have the tools lecturing them but also a very angry Dozer, especially Ton-Ton.

Dozer In my human, Au runs out of coffee since he is a daycare attendant, and he often has to come in early to prepare meals and stay late cleaning up paint.

Going on with my human, Au Dozer has had a crush on everyone at least once throughout his life. He has known Tonton since he was really young, so during his teen years, he had a crush on Tonton, and he had met Skya when he was in his late teens, and he had developed a crush on her. He had denied all of his crushes, though he refused to accept them, so yeah, drama.

Dozer has never been in a relationship.
