hey so ive been told that my reactions to coffee and caffeine in general etc (which is basically them making me sleepy as opposed to waking me up like they do for others) is due to adhd, 1/ is that actually a thing and 2/ if it is then do you have any ideas on anything else i can do to stay awake if coffee doesnt work?

Yes, this is actually a thing; you can learn more about it in our “caffeine” tag.

I find that I am more likely to be tired if I eat a lot of simple carbohydrates (like sugar; basically it wakes me up in the short term but it burns out quickly and then I’m exhausted) but less likely if my diet is heavier on protein and complex carbs (especially fresh vegetables).

My question is when do you need to stay awake? In the middle of the day or late at night? If the middle of the day, try getting a little more physical activity as that can wake up your body for a period right afterward. If late at night, maybe you need to adjust your expectations and start going to bed when you’re tired so you get enough sleep.

Speaking of enough sleep, you do need at least 7 hours of sleep per night, so if you aren’t getting that it could be having an impact on your daytime sleepiness.

i watched a christmas related baldis basics video (for whatever reason, i dont know...) and gained a few memories.... i dont know why, but ... i just did.

anyway, christmas was a really weird time from what i remember. well, from what i remember from .. before the whole " corruption " thing happened. none of us were very religious if at all, but we celebrated it anyway. the kids barely had any idea what religion was but they loved christmas time. i remember that big ass tree in the cafeteria, too. uhh ... yeah. fun times.

Tfw you're a Hollow Knight but alive after a gods defeat and then get adopted by Cornifer and Iselda but no one kins either of them so you're just really missing your adoptive parents who were actually nice to you. Like Iselda threw a fit when I told her about TPK and was ready to fight him, but she also taught me how to make charms. Cornifer taught me how he maps locations and I helped him a few times (usually when he was too scared to actually do much mapping). I miss them a ton and I'll probably never see them again. For now, I'll just say hi to them whenever I pass them in the game. ~The Hollow Knight nicknamed Null
