I just watched MHA S7 Ep1 and can't stop thinking about the opening and ending songs. I mean the whole episode was awesome and Shiggy's fight with Star and Stripe was fucking cool, but the visuals in the opening and the ending songs though...

The students are ready to help Deku and take down the villains...

Monoma and Shinso are gonna play a very important role in this final war arc and we all know it...

Hawks fight with AFO and Twice clones are something I'm looking forward to...

Aoyama is in jail after the UA traitor revelation and Hagakure is the one who caught him snitching...

Looking forward to their story and moments...

Shoto's in Kamino ward about to face Touya and Endeavor's also gonna play a big role in the 2nd half of that fight that we all know about...

Adult Touya standing beside a 16-year-old Touya who woke up from a 3-year comatose and found himself in a weird orphanage which was managed by AFO apparently...

I think this season may end with Bakugo's big fight with Shiggy which will lead him to his "death"...

There were so many other things in both OP and ED, like Shoto, Bakugo, Deku, Uraraka, Shoji, Toga, Spinner, and Shiggy's kid-versions in the ED... Then different shots of the pro-heroes, other UA students & Star, and her team in the OP... and then Deku swinging through the burning city with his friends which seems like it's that whole portal chaos shit...

Overall, I really liked this episode, and I'm still waiting for the moment when the Todoroki family stuff is gonna get animated like the Shoto vs. Touya fight, and the whole family confronting Touya...

Since I'm dissatisfied with how my boys Sero and Aoyama are treated in the story, Imma just make a rewrite for how they could've been utilized in the story.

Sero: His backstory would be that when his quirk came in people often said and believe it wouldn't be popular or useful in heroics, and other kids even made fun of his elbows for how his quirk made him look now. So he strives to become a hero to prove those negative voices wrong and maybe even become a fan favorite.

But as his stay at UA goes on, he starts to realize that the school isn't living up to it's image as the best hero school as he sees how they handle bullying (Izuku being harrassed by Bakugou yet no one, even the teachers aren't doing anything), brushing off their trauma (Going on with the Sports Festival after a traumatic event at the USJ), and even failing him for something he did but another student passes doing the same (Falling unconscious while their partner helps them pass) it was the final straw.

He goes to complain about how things are being run and that they should take 1-A's feelings into consideration since everyone seems to think the villains attacking them and how Aizawa runs his class is their fault somehow, but no one listens to him as they only know him as the guy who got eliminated first and failed the finals.

Seeing as how no one will listen to him, he convinces his parents to transfer him to another hero school and leaves for a while. He comes back in the war arc and shows off how much he improved compared to UA since he actually learned something instead of being brushed off.

Aoyama: Have his quirk come in late and how that causes him stomach pains, he is very observant as he can learn about a person just by watching how they act alone.

And one certain student catches his eye, Izuku Midoriya. Despite having a quirk perfect for Heroics, his demeanor doesn't match it at all. So with his skills of observing, he was able to figure out what exactly Izuku is hiding... and that's how he figured out about OFA.

The difference here is that he's not the traitor, so instead goes to confront Izuku about this and make sure he got the facts right. He promises not to tell anyone about this and joins him on his OFA training, offering tips and opinions on how he can improve as he trains his quirk as well.

He and Izuku become friends and he's happily accepted into Izuku's friend group.

Love these rewrites for both Aoyama and Sero!

Sero transferring to another hero school (maybe Ms Joke's) would work really well for him and show the direct impact of Aizawa's teaching and favoritism of Bakugou.

Bonus - Imagine if he is one of many that decide to leave and reappear stronger in the War Arc under the tutelidge of another school. I imagine he goes with Koda, Shoji, Ojiro and Hagakure. (This is a nice way to thin down the class without killing anyone and highlights the impact of Aizawa's poor teaching.)

Aoyama - being observant and the one to figure out OFA and attend OFA training with Izuku and his other classmates (instead of Bakugou) works so much better. I could also see Aoyama and Izuku bonding strongly over how they were treated when society believed them both to be quirkless.

Bonus - Momo with the versatility of her quirk also could have been useful in helping Izuku with the versatility of OFA. Additionally, Shoto also should have been great to help Izuku for this reason too with the added bonus of being one of his best friends.

Finally! Season 7! I'm here! And, it's the last season, so it's gonna hit so hard, and I'm ready! (I'm not ready I'm terrified they're gonna kill someone I love off and not to mention there's still the UA traitor thing. I love traitor arcs, but I love the class so much idk who it could be. I know a lotta people -used to at least- think Denki or Hagakure was the traitor. Or I remember that one guy who thought it was Aoyama, but nobody took him seriously. It's been awhile since I've been 'in' the fandom, for sake of spoilers though, so I have no idea who it could actually be. Ngl, I'm thinking maybe Tokoyami, since he was asking so much for Hawks to return his calls or texts. Intel, maybe? But I also feel so bad for suggesting that, because I love Tokoyami and he was probably just worried about his mentor- AGH)

Okay, moving on, I half expected there to be cheese when he walked out ngl.

Y'know, I've never actually thought about it before, but hear me out. Izuku, Shinso and Monoma. That'd be an interesting hangout. I didn't comment on it, but Monoma was taking care of Eri while Uraraka was doing her speech. Point? None. Just think it'd be an interesting scenerio. Star and Stripe is awesome!! And the fact she knew she would get her hero license revoked if she went to Japan, but she did it anyways, gained so much respect. I like how she's not waiting around for the bad to come to her, or even another, country. She went right to the source. And she's right. If and when (If) Japan is conquered by AFO and Shigaraki, it's only a matter of time before they start taking over other countries. And Shigaraki. Not knowing who he is, even if he is a villain, is so sad. He has this guy, who he trusted and looked up to even, who took him in, in his head. Taking over his mind and body. How terrifying.

Oh don't even get me started on how they handled Mic/UA traitor thing.

Present Mic was the only one with common sense to say not once, but TWICE that there was obviously a spy in their midst. How else did the League get All Might's schedule? How else did they know where the training camp was being held?

Instead of hearing him out, they immediately dismiss him and jump down his throat about "trustworthiness." Yeah, they turn UA into a boarding school in part to help centralize the investigation, but we nothing about it aside from a comment made by Nedzu and All Might.

Then, out of nowhere, Mic is proven right. He even says to 1A how they're the victims in all of this, and it's just brushed aside. I like Aoyama, I agree that he was dealt a horrible hand, but I liked seeing Hagakure and Ojiro angry at him. I think it's crazy how his intel is the reason they were put in direct danger so many times, and it's brushed aside with a, "you can still be a hero!" and "I'm not expelling you."

This is why we love Mic.

But in all seriousness, the UA traitor thing was a whole mess. Hori had Mic bring it up after the Training Camps, only to completely ignore it for the next 4 seasons. It's literally never brought up again in all that time. So many people were convinced that he wasn't doing anything with it because of this.

Having Mic bring this up and then doing nothing about it makes no sense, especially when Nezdu is supposedly the smartest creature on the planet. There's no way he a) wouldn't take Mic's suggestion into serious consideration and b) make all the students live in the school. If a student or faculty was the UA traitor, having them all live in one place would have just given them the access they needed to whatever they needed, be it Izuku/OFA, Bakugou, security codes, or anything else.

(And Aoyama basically proved that by being able to break into Izuku's room)

SPOILERS FOR MHA SEASON 7

I just finished episode 2 of season 7.

I didn't think I would like Star and Stripe but damn, she was powerful, and not just physically. She is another piece of living proof of all the All Might has managed to accomplish. It's amazing.

...but, to have her die so soon. It feels like an injustice...I can't believe it. Just when I was starting to like her too

AND THE ENDING. ARE WE GOING TO FINALLY CONFIRM WHO THE UA TRAITOR WAS

I remember when that was a whole thing but it was before season 5 had even aired and I had no clue what people's theories were and all that. But the two I heard were Aoyama and Hagakure. I am so hyped that will be such a mad reveal.

I cannot wait, but I also don't want it to be over. I hate series endings, they really break my heart.

BnHA Thoughts: 8th Popularity Poll (Top 25)

Bakugo: The undefeated No#01 since last 7 years!! No#01 Hero or not, he'll always be the no#01 character of the series!

Deku: How the heck is there such a huge gap?!! Almost 6000 votes!! Damn. And here I thought he might be no#01 this time because of his rouge arc going on.

Shouto: Why is the vote gap so surprising? Usually Deku and Shouto have similar vote counts.

Endeavour: Not surprised. His fight against AFO was really something.

Iida: Vol 33 hype stays strong.

Kaminari: *surprised Pikachu face* he was always popular but him being no#06 despite the expensive voting, wow.

What's surprising is that Jirou is on 19th spot! She is the cool, musical girl of the show. She got her own concert arc and big moments against AFO and yet Pikachu manages to outrank her.

Aizawa: Always a fan favourite.

Hawks: Deserving. Literally the binding force for heroes. MVP!

Kirishima: Why are you here? He hasn't done anything since last 100+ chapters and yet managed outrank Ochako.

Ochako: Who was a major character in the Deku Retrieval arc, got some great character development and now fighting against one of the deadliest villains is ranked below Iida, Kirishima and even Kaminari.

It's so concerning that literally one female character made it to top 10 and yet she is also literally at spot #10.

All top 9, male. And why shouldn't they be? They're compelling characters with great backstories, character arcs, battles and screentime devoted to them. But when it comes to writting female character, even the author takes a backseat.

What a shame.

Dabi: The highest ranked villain and yet so low. Didn't make top 10.

Shigaraki: 2nd highest villain and 12th postion. Has been stagnant since AFO took over his body, so his place below Dabi is okay.

Mirio: pleasantly surprised. Guess UA coffin really gave him a boost.

Sero: Another surprise. He hasn't done anything big. Why are you here?

Rody: well... You're not even cannon...

Tamaki: UA coffin boost is real.

Present Mic: Shirakumo hype has died now?

Shinsou: got that cool costume upgrade but hasn't done anything yet.

Jirou: How are you so low?

All Might: The All Mighty No#01 hero at no#20. This is not a good sign. His popularity is steadily decreasing.

Toga: Our bloodthirsty Harley Quinn didn't made it to top#20? Guess Villains are really a bad omen in Japan. But she was such a big force, constantly talked about. Well, what do you know.

Monoma: Good role in final battle. Okayish ranking.

Momo: HOW THE HELL IS MOMO OUT OF TOP 20?!!! And that too below Monoma? The Class A vice-president, who single handedly defeated gigantimachia?! Not single handedly but still. How the hell is she soooo low?!!!

Iida literally did nothing that significant since Joint Training Arc and yet he always manages to make it top 5 and yet Momo who is an actual deserving candidate didn't even make it top 20? Guess misogyny is really high here.

Nejire: The only UA BIG 3 who didn't make it top#20. Why is it that Mirio and Tamaki got great backstories while all she gets is a half-baked page about how great Mirio and Tamaki were that they decided to befriend her. Seriously?

Mirko: Guess big thigs and badass fight scenes aren't enough to land you in top 20, huh?

Additionally, Tsuyu is 29 and Mina is 33. AFO is #39, Ayoyama #41 and Hagakure #43. Despite getting the big focus with Traitor reveal and Face reveal, Hagakure and Ayoyama are so low. Horikoshi #52 didn't make it to top 50.

Overall Impression:

It wasn't that bad. Remember when we had Shindou ranked #09 and literally no female characters in the top 10. That was the worst poll. Though it's still mildly concerning how there are just 2 girls in the top 20, Ochako and Jirou and no villains in top 10. Momo is really low and Nagant and Midnight aren't even in the picture. Bakugo remains the undisputed star of the show and with that we have reached our conclusion.

It was a really tough competition this year.

Just curious, but what is your favorite Ojiro ship?

Personally, mine is OjiToru (Ojiro x Hagakure).

Hmm. Good question. I don't think I have a particular favourite. I'm a multishipper, so I enjoy seeing him with different characters for different reasons.

(These are in no particular order):

Ojiro x Hagakure

Arguably the closest thing to a canon relationship in MHA, it's clear they have a strong bond and are close enough to share their worries with each other. Wholesome and supportive, plus Ojiro nearly lost his mind when he thought Hagakure kissed him during that one mission, and she ran straight into his arms when she was upset after discovering the UA traitor; they're adorable.

Ojiro x Kaminari

I absolutely adore Kaminari's tail fluff obsession. Ojiro is so unbothered in every panel where Kaminari is playing with his tail, so he must do it all the time. Plus, there's that cute panel at the hot springs where Kaminari's splashing Ojiro in the water. Ojiro is the chill boyf' to Kaminari's silly.

Ojiro x Shinsou

I love a good enemies to lovers. Saying that, I also love that Ojiro doesn't have the capacity to hold a grudge and immediately welcomes Shinsou to the heroes course once he's finally moved across. It's a ship where I see Shinsou having lots of guilt/insecurity and needing reassurance that he's forgiven, with Ojiro being the endlessly reassuring boyfriend, happy to squash any of Shinsou's issues immediately.

Honestly, I would love to see Ojiro with anyone. He gets so much shtick, when in reality he would make an excellent down-to-earth partner.

Ojiro x Mahoro

I also once made an OC specifically to pair with Ojiro, called Mahoro Mimi.

Ojiro usually doesn't like being seen as ordinary, so Mahoro was made to be the opposite. She's a girl with a transformation quirk that turns her into a terrifying, demonic monster when she gets too emotional.

It's a pairing that focuses on each wanting what the other has; a way to stand out, and a way to blend in.

I really enjoy this pairing too, because it focuses on Ojiro learning to accept and love who he is, as well as helping someone else love themselves as they are.

GIVE THE TAILBEAN SOMEONE TO LOVE, HORIKOSHI, COME ON.

I’ve been thinking about the way the most recent chapter ends and I realize that it reminds me of the ua traitor reveal (or at least I’m hoping it’s like that). I forgot which chapter it is, but there was that one chapter that ends with Hagakure implying she’s the traitor only to switch it in the next chapter to reveal that it’s actually Aoyama. I don’t know if it’s actually gonna be like this but it could turn out to be a thing where the end of this chapter makes it seem like Izuku and Ochako are going to have a confession only to turn it around and make it actually Ochako talking about Himiko (and hopefully revealing that Himiko’s alive 🙏) I might be wrong but this is what I’m hoping for

yeah horikoshi really loves to do cliffhangers to turn them around somehow -its almost a funny bit at this point, a staple in his writing. I'm also hoping something similar! Lets hope for the best and enjoy what we can!

different anon but the UA traitor thing was genuinely forgotten at some point afaik. horikoshi, the writer, said in an interview he forgot he set it up after the pussy cat arc and then realized he couldn't drop the plotline since it was still a major point of fan speculation even years later. bc, yk, a UA traitor is a pretty big thing and everyone expected a big payoff. don't have a source handy right now but when he said it post the traitor reveal chapters everyone in the fandom was very "oh that explains why no one mentioned the UA traitor in over 100 chapters despite it being kinda... important

so the initial set up was there, but there's a pretty big portion of the manga that wasn't written with a UA traitor in mind. there's potential foreshadowing during the kidnapping arc with Yuga that's still ambiguous enough to read as fear, but but put him pretty high on the "suspicious student" list. along with some other moments. (hagakure was also big during that time with how many students asked her where she was during certain events bc they yk, couldn't see her. kind of a red herring ig)

but then everyone forgot to hint at the traitor until they remembered that unresolved plot a few years later lmao. so yeah, kind of agree with anon, it could have been hinted at More imo, especially with how serious the traitor set up was, it was kind of odd how it fell completely off the radar for Years. like, it kept being a constant topic of discussion on tumblr and youtube (at least the english versions) because of how interesting a student/teacher villain would be but everyone in the manga just went "oh shit really, you think there's a traitor here? anyways" and then went about business as usual without ever thinking about it again

(might not feel as noticeable for you tho since you read it all in one go. reading each release since 2018 felt really weird since the entire traitor plot just got forgotten about at some point and no one in universe really cared anymore lmao)

Happens in comic book arcs too something that's mentioned 200 issues back was really five years ago and it's like oh yeah lol forgot about that. Also big fan of referencing 40+ year old comics and pretending like it wasn't clearly the vietnam war they were talking about or whatever

I can see it being really all over the place they forgot about the traitor arc. It's like how i keep having to be like yeah this is all happening within a single school year somehow
