hey 'non so uhhh, u mm. I didn't want to post because I feel like lately all I do is just post "my life is going to shit" but ;;; YOU ASKED... SO IT'S OKAY.... and uh, truthfully:

I'm not okay. At all. Things aren't okay in a serious way.

gonna 'keep reading' cut this so it's not clogging up anyone's dash ;;

Furnace tech came out, there's a crack in the furnance (He showed me & I got it confirmed) and he tagged my furnace as unsafe for living conditions and turned off power/gas to it.

So I have no working heat throughout the house. In the winter. In an area where it can get down to the 10s/20s or colder, particularly as we get into January-February.

I don't have the money to buy a furnace, but I literally need one to live in this house and make sure my pipes don't freeze/burst, and to sell this house for anything remotely resembling a reasonable price.

They send someone out for an estimate, and it’s $4000 for a new furnance install. I don’t have it. And they gave me info to apply for a loan, but like. I can’t... take out a a $4000 loan to pay for a new furnace when I’m supposed to be moving in 2 months. 

My family found a used furnace, but we need someone licensed to install it. So far the quotes for installing it are just as much as buying the new furnace and having it installed, so it’s like. Hrm. People are asking around to see if we can find someone who will do it for a different rate. But I mean, it’s a complex installation, so I’m not hopeful.

And on top of all this, it's just like. Me trying to sell the house on my own? Somehow? Trying to declutter and clean and pack a 2000 square foot house and then figure out how to list it and for what price and do all the paperwork?

All this was already overwhelming without the "I HAVE NO FURNACE NOW" element hanging over me. And now? I just feel so lost.

So I got approved for the apartment which has a move-in date in early March, but now I'm just like, how am I going to afford the apartment $500 hold deposit in 2 weeks and later on afford the move-in costs and get a furnace installed and get renter's insurance and sell a house with presumably no working furnace in the winter and get everything decluttered and packed in very cold temps and still pay my regular bills and start saving for the next round of car insurance and make enough for gas and and and...

I've actually never felt this level of stress and despair before. I just keep bawling. Like, "when someone you love dies" level of bawling.

I'm just really not okay.

My cat and I are currently in my office with a space heater while I try to do some remote freelance work so I can pay my current bills, hopefully she joins me in the bedroom after I warm it up & stuff a blanket in the doorway cracks to keep it in. I also bought room thermometers so I can see if it's getting to dangerous cold levels and if it is, go to a relative's house.

Thankfully, I do have places I can stay at during the night (siblings houses) but the financial situation & making sure my cat is safe & making sure I'm not in dangerous cold conditions & making sure my pipe's don't freeze is just... overwhelming. idek what to do at this point.

Every time I'm like "Okay, it can't get worse," it just does. Every little positive thing (finally getting my driver's license, finding a way to pay for car insurance, getting help from commissions & amazing donations so I can get my furnace fixed last month) is immediately met with a massive backhand.

Def going to like. Post more about emergency commissions & stuff like that soon. Just right now I need to... figure out... what to make a priority.

Sorry for the long rant. I wish things were going good so I could just say that. I wish I just. had a secret stash of money that I could use to pay for this stuff and not have to worry.

ive said this in tags of some reblog before but not on an Actual Post, but i dont think that blowing up the community house and setting off tnt at the prison and ranboo having one life are connected.

firstly - theres a possibility that, like phil, he just has One Life. with him being part enderman and part ??? its a possibility that could change how many lives he starts with, yknow?

secondly - How could he die by doing those things? like, ranboo is definently smart enough to. not die while setting off tnt. At Most, it’s a suicide mission in the sense that he’d be in a lot of trouble if caught. (and on a meta sense, we know that ranboo didn’t die while setting of the prison because we didn’t see a death message)

third point - i don’t see how it would benefit dream or ranboo, and i dont think there’d ever be a chance for them to talk about it. dream has a very few number of allies (punz, ranboo, and bbh [< possibly just for the prison plans, and being sympathetic towards him]), and losing one, especially one we know that he trusts (giving ranboo the disc, ranboo putting the message at tommy’s house about where to go on jan 20 2020 (disc finale. that), etc).

with him only experimenting on vikkstar and lazarbeam, who. Probably do not have memory problems. he wouldn’t know if ranboo’s ghost would remember everything, and losing ranboo (enderwalk, anyways) would just. be losing an asset (possibly, a friend). since this would have had to been before disc finale, with ranboo being with techno, and new lmanburg before that (iirc), and since there wasn’t a clue of it, (and with punz being logical and saying not to get people everyone would notice), he definitely wouldnt have had a chance for either of them to find out

and its not like he can revive ranboo either- if techno asked him to as a favor, them he could definitely do it without suspicion (whether boo wants to be revived or not is a whole other thing), but considering that dream didn’t expect awesamdude to get Corrupted By Power, i dont think he’d knowingly bank on that - ALSO i dont think we should assume that dream KNEW that ranboo was on one life. like assuming ranboo didnt get Blown Up by accident, we dont even know if dream knew about the experiments, and WE dont even know if ranboo died during the experiments

but uhhh back on point. if dream revived ranboo i think EVERYONE would notice. the Major Players anyway. like. if techno didnt ask. because then people would probably be like “hrm why would dream revive ranboo” and if he did do that the only way they (dream and, maybe ranboo) would get away with it is to play up the “dream is EVIL and is MANIPULATING MINORS” which. would Not work if the base plan was dream go to prison and then get sympathy and says he changed. and if that wouldn’t work then like, ranboo wouldn’t work as a spy anymore. and Stuff

also feel free to ignore this part because Endersmile brain but we Do know that dream cares for (enderwalk) ranboo - or at the very least, trusts him. I don’t think that dream would let ranboo die if he knew that ranboo would Die die - but i dont think he’d just let himself get caught again either. hope we get to see ghostboo and dream ( or just. ranboo in general) interact with each other more

Have you heard of this tag? Neither have I! Bc it’s new! Thanks @gottaenjoythelittlethingzz for tagging me (ages ago)! So, basically, I’ll be answering a bunch of questions about my wip Medeis. Which is perfect, you know, getting back into the swing of things after nano and all (also, I now know why they say don’t take random long breaks :)

1. Describe your novel in 1-2 sentences (elevator pitch)

Holly and her friends have medeis, the power to travel between worlds. When her mother gets kidnapped and the other medeis users get attacked on their journey to find her, Holly and her friends have to find everyone in an unfamiliar world.

2. How long do you plan for your novel to be? (Is it a novella, single book, book series, etc.)

It would look good in a series of 3 books, but idk exactly where it goes after this book, so maybe that’s just my number aesthetic talking. Nothing over 3 books, though, for sure.

3. What is your novel’s aesthetic?

Dirt roads, long dark cloaks, knives, matches, fire

4. What other stories inspire your novel? 

Uhhh....idk? I haven’t read anything I’d say is similar in the past, and I haven’t been reading new books recently (oops I got exposed)

Hrm. There’s Alejandra and Sabian, the two medeis users who she goes on the journey with.

Good question, one that Holly struggles with on the daily.

9. What do they want more than anything?

Before the story? To have her medeis awakened. During? To have her family and friends reunited.

10. Why can’t they have it?

The first one is because medeis users are so rare and unknown in both worlds that if there’s any way to bring out the medeis power, nobody has researched it. The second is because she doesn’t know where they are, she doesn’t even know where she is.

11. What do they wrongly believe about themselves?

She can’t make people take her seriously.

She’s short (like 5 feet), with short blonde hair and light skin. She has green eyes and idk what else to add.

She has to deal with e m o t i o n s (literally the internal conflict of every character ever). But seriously, she’s the youngest and she doesn’t have medeis. She’s always been treated like a child, and she wants to prove her worth.

I thought I did but then I introduced a character that was supposed to show up in book two. So. Anything could happen.

Ooh okay! So they are in a country in the other world called Hanzlet, and they are in the capital, which is Mendacio. It is a large city with mountains on south and a forest up north which surrounds the royal palace. There is the 1787 River, which cuts right through the city. This also creates a difference in status. The south has the ghetto districts, and a lot of poorer places. The north has many wealthy neighborhoods. The north and south are very divided because many people in the south can’t afford to pay the tolls to cross the 1787 Bridge, and the people in the north often don’t want to go down there.

21. Do you have any images or scenes in your mind already?  

Yeah, I’m almost done with it, though, so I butchered most of the scenes I was looking forward to writing.

22. What excited you about this story?  

It sprouted from a dream many years ago. Me and my brother were in it, and the mentors were Hercules and Kakashi, and my grandma was in it, and a couple of other people were in it who are all characters. I’ve strayed far from it, but it’s cool to finally be writing it and taking it somewhere.

23. Tell us about your usual writing method!  

I like to make mini outlines! Because I don’t use an outline, sometimes I get stuck on scenes. So I just list a bunch of places the scene can go, pick the best one, and make an outline! Or I plan every little thing in a chapter if it’s hard to start.

1. You can (safely) visit another planet in our solar system. Which one and why? 

Uhm, I... don’t know which one I’d visit tbh. A planet that can sustain human life? Maybe take a couple of friends with me and we could chill there to get away from bullshit? That’s a nice thought :’D

2. What are you looking forward to?

Well, currently? The weekly updates of Yuri on Ice because it’s kind of become my grounding. It’s got me hyped. Also I’m looking forward to ... some kpop stuff XD one of my favourite groups is promoting right now so they’re on a lot of variety shows and they have a lot of performances which are great to watch.

3. What do you dance to when no one is watching?

Upbeat, hard bass, body-rolling type of music. I usually dance in the mirror or around the apartment when no one is home. ... I just really hope none of my neighbours decided to window watch bc my dancing is anything but graceful haha :D If you want specific songs rn? Mostly kpop songs, Also Uptown Funk bc ofc. Uhhh also ABBA songs sometimes... and the PotC soundtrack :’D

4. What’s something about where you live that only a local would know?

Hrm. Idk I guess that we have a festival of culture (kind of, it’s actually hard to explain what it is) every year where people can go to artist corners and japanese workshops and i remember there being a kendo lesson one time and there’s also mini concerts and food stalls and ye it’s nice.

5. How’s that thing you’re working on going?

UHHHHHHHH y dis? ;o; it’s going very slowly and painfully. The WIP I’m currently working on doesn’t seem to be going anywhere but I’m trying to push on. I’ll make it work. It’s been ages since I’ve posted anything and it’s making me feel restless so I need to somehow break this endless circle of non-productivity :’D wish me luck haha

6. Have you ever had a food that you ate some much of you put yourself off it forever?

YES. Potatoes. I honestly do not like potatoes all too much because when I was a kid my grandpa liked to overfeed me with them so I just never really got over that. Now I occasionally eat mashed potatoes and very very rarely fries (from mcdonalds where they basically don’t even taste like potatoes but more like salt >.>) but not any other kind of potatoes. I just don’t like them at all. Rice is the bae for me.

7. What’s on your bedroom walls?

My guitar and four photo frames: a picture of smol me, a drawing I drew of Elsa, a grafitti painting I bought one time at the seaside of a horse in the moonlight (it’s very pretty), and a painting I did myself of my grandparents’ last puppy and kitty (I miss them). That’s basically it. Used to be posters, but, :’D

8. What do you wish had a fandom (or a bigger fandom)?

Huh, I dunno, I used to wish fandoms for anime I had just finished watching, but at the moment I feel like I’m mostly covered. So, yeah, currently nothing, but that’s liable to change :’D

9. What fictional organisation would you most want to work for?

To be honest, the only organisation I’d be willing to work in is any post-voldemort Wizarding organisation. Like, idk, maybe somewhere in the Ministry of Magic, or maybe at Hogwarts? If you can even count that as an organization? Dunno. But yes. I’d love to be able to do magic and work in a field for it!

10. Favourite pasta dish?

Spaghetti Bolognese :’D It’s a guilty pleasure.

11. What’s a trope guaranteed to make you love a character?

I’m trash for the most weird things tbh? And it doesn’t even make sense? Like, sometimes I love the asshole character(tm) but sometimes I don’t want to see a character like that at all. Sometimes I love the sunshine chars, sometimes I want that heavily tattooed char with a heart of gold, sometimes I want to see that grumpy char, etc. Idk. I just like well-written flawed-yet-still-lovable chars for the most part. IDK. I have weird preferences.
