Leonardo

At first, he stares at you in silent disbelief before holding you close with all the joy in the world. He couldn't be happier. He's going to follow in his father's footsteps and teach them everything he knows. In fact, Splinter is the first person he tells, followed quickly by his brothers.

When the celebrations settle down, it suddenly dawns on him just how much he needs to prepare himself for this great responsibility. He already bears a heavy toll being the leader of his brothers and your protector but this? This will be a true test of accountability and he hopes that he will be strong enough to make sure nothing bad happens.

Yes. He's going to make sure he does everything in his power to ensure you two remain safe.

Raphael

Don't tell his brothers but he cries a little. How could he not? He already counts his blessings every day knowing you're his, so this is like the cherry on an already amazing cake. The entire family is gathered in the lounge, wanting them all to hear this news at the same time.

He starts to worry that his touch isn't gentle enough and that he could hurt the baby when they're born. It takes a lot of assurance on your end but his concern is incredibly sweet. You're in safe hands that are softer than he gives himself credit for and you know the baby is, too.

The nickname 'Mama' has now been officially upgraded to 'Baby Mama' and you are not complaining one bit.

Donatello

Astounded. Fascinated. In complete and utter awe over the fact that a tiny person is now growing inside of you. You can bet he drops every other project to look into this immediately. He always goes one-hundred and ten percent into his research, so you know you're in capable hands.

Everyone else finds out a few hours later when they stumble across him in his lab with notes strung up along the walls on how to best take care of the baby before and after labour. You do wish he'd calm down a bit but you put it down to his nerves and excitement.

This baby might just be his best invention yet and with the help of his most loving partner, no less.

Michelangelo

You aren't sure you've ever seen him exhibit such glee before. He is absolutely over the moon! There isn't a chance to figure out how you two break the news to the family because his reaction does that for you. He. Tells. Everyone! He will skate through the sewers and scream past every manhole cover and pipe that he's going to be a dad.

When he finally returns, he swoops you up and babbles about all of the fun things he's going to do with the baby. Read them comic books before bed, teach them how to skateboard, play pranks on Uncle Raph! You'll have to apologise to the red-clad turtle later.

Haha! He has his own little accomplice for his shenanigans, now.

As for Splinter in all of this, the prospect of becoming a grandfather is monumental. This family was already an unexpected surprise for him all those years ago but he couldn't feel more lucky knowing that it's about to expand. He's ready to bestow his wisdom onto more young minds.

Last question, I swear lol Will Casey Jones have an abusive family in this version or a dark past with a criminal past that she wants to leave behind? (I really loved that part of the TMNT IDW comics where they basically adopt Casey<3) And will her relationship with the turtles be a "friends at first sight" or will you make it a relationship where they start as enemies or rivals that evolves to friend to family? P.S.: You might have noticed by now that I love romance, fanfic, and the "enemy to lovers" and/or "found family" tropes (And mixes of them or platonic versions of just friendship) XDXDXD

Uh, not sure if perhaps that was a mistake, but Casey Jones is a guy in my version. Here’s a picture of him and April:

But anyway, BACK TO YOUR ACTUAL QUESTION!

Casey’s family is broken, but I wouldn’t say it’s abusive really, his mom is actually quite nice and he had a really tight bond with his dad.

He does have a pretty dark past that will be revealed slowly over the course of the comic and is the reason he is the way he is. It takes him a long time to let go of his past and anger, and at first he really actually doesn’t want to, but one of the main themes/messages of the comic is going to be “forgiveness is the only way to be truly healed” so when the time comes, he does overcome it…mostly.

(Btw, I actually have his past written down, so if you want to know it, you can DM me for it)

Casey and Raph are pretty quick friends, though it takes a bit longer for the rest of Raph’s family to warm up to Casey. Eventually he becomes almost like one of their brothers. (I would say their uncle, but let’s face it Casey isn’t mature enough for that title 😂)

Lol, there won’t be a ton of “Enemies to lovers” but there will be plenty of found family in this story!

Sooooo y’all see the latest @somerandomdudelmao comic update? Because once again it is living in my head, which means once again my brain has generated fic. This one’s ~1200 words and slightly less tragic, depending on whether or not you take dramatic irony into account.

It starts fairly innocuously.

One of the surviving technicians monitors a computer as it finally, finally boots up successfully, whooping when the Genius Tech loading screen pops up. He grins and pats the power cable. "Thanks, Raph!"

It catches on.

A water purifier, disconnected to save a struggling power supply, gets plugged back in. It chugs back to life, and the kids responsible for its upkeep cheer and high five. One of them waves at the ceiling, where a power conduit runs overhead. "Thanks, Mister Raph!"

And it spreads like wildfire.

Every time something works the way it's supposed to - every time a much-needed device pops back to life, or the emergency doors close correctly, or a dying lightbulb flickers on one more time - they thank Raph. In gleeful shouts and careful whispers, they show gratitude for the person who gave up his life - and his second chance at life, at that - to keep them safe. It makes the emergency base, ramshackle and barely held together as it is, feel a little more like a home. A little more alive.

It doesn't take long for a few unspoken rules to develop.

They never say it in front of the metal shell. It's one thing to say it to the walls, the cables, the electricity; it's something else to say it to a figure with a face, seated against the wall like a sentinel that will awaken and protect them when danger arises.

(Nevermind that they've been in danger, constant and unending, for decades, and that this sentinel is already protecting them in smaller, everyday ways.)

They learn very quickly never to say it in front of Raph's surviving family, either. Master Leonardo gets angry when he hears it. It's an anger born of grief and loss, painful but not dangerous to allies, but given how terrifying Master Leonardo can be on the battlefield or a bad day, nobody really wants that anger directed at them. Master Michaelangelo just stops when he hears it, lips curling up in an expression too devoid of life to truly be called a smile. It's almost worse to witness than Master Leonardo's anger. No, they learn to watch themselves in front of the family, carefully taking their gratitude towards a dead man elsewhere.

Until the day someone forgets and says it in front of Casey Junior.

The kid looks up at Roger with wide, almost hopeful eyes. "Why did you- is he here? Can you feel him?"

Roger stares back at him with equally wide eyes. He'd just been grateful the computer had booted correctly for his monitor shift, and he hadn't been looking, and now he has to try to explain this to a kid who's never known a life outside the apocalypse. Oh boy. "No, uh- I mean- I don't have magic like your dads do, Casey, I couldn't-" He sighs. "It's just...a thing people do, when things work. Before the Krang, we had all sorts of machines that made life easier, and...we'd talk to 'em. Thank 'em when they worked, yell or beg when they didn't...I remember threatening a fax machine once, not that that made any difference. I think that just...kinda carried over here." Wait. "Not that your uncle was a machine or anything-"

"His body was a machine," Casey says simply, with a pragmatism that Roger hadn't been expecting. Apocalypse-raised kid. Right. "That wasn't what made him Uncle Raph. He was- it's-" Casey falters, expression starting to crumble. Pragmatism be damned, the kid is still grieving-

Rem, just coming off her shift, steps in smoothly. It's not the first time she's saved Roger's ass, both on and off the battlefield, and it won't be the last. "We know," she says gently, putting an arm around Casey's shoulders. "What Roger means is that we're grateful he's keeping us going, and that people like to bond with machines even when they're too simple to bond back. We all used to name our cars - can you believe it?"

"I named mine Red Rider," Roger says wistfully. He still misses that car.

"And I used to sneak out of the Hidden City with my cloaking brooch and go joyriding outside of human cities," Rem says, a grin splitting her feline muzzle. "I named every car I stole Phantom, like I thought I was cool."

Casey smiles - small and watery, but there nonetheless - and Roger breathes a sigh of relief. "What else did you name?"

"I mean, it was mostly cars, but some people named their computers."

"I had a friend who named her phone and just kept adding numbers when she had to replace it. It was Duchess O'Brien the eighth last I'd heard."

"I know some Yokai named their weapons, but I never really kept track of those. It was more of a Battle Nexus fandom thing."

Another Yokai leans in - a four eyed lizard whose name Roger could never remember no matter how hard he tried - and Roger shuts up. She's in charge of security now, and honestly she intimidates him. She looks around - at him, at Rem, at Casey - and then intones seriously, "I once named a kitchen appliance Toasty McToastFace."

There's a beat of silence. Casey has a lopsided grin growing on his face, like he doesn't get the joke but he knows it is one, and that's enough to lift his mood.

And then Rem doubles over, cracking up, and Bob smiles carefully. "Really loved that toaster, huh?"

"It was my closest friend," the lizard Yokai replies, deadpan as hell, before leaving the conversation.

Casey turns that confused grin on Roger. "Was she serious?"

"Kid, I have no idea. Some people are just really into this kinda thing."

Rem finally straightens up, wiping a tear from her eye with a paw. "Ohhhh boy. Oh, I needed that." She turns her smile back on Casey. "Point being, naming something makes it a little more real, and makes you a little more likely to take care of it. The system here...already has a name. We're just saying thank you, you know?"

The grin on Casey's face settles down into consideration. "Yeah, I think I do. I- Thanks. I'm gonna-" He waves at the door to finish his sentence.

"Go for it, kid." Roger waves him off as he departs, then sighs once he's gone. "God, that kid is just hemmhorraging family, isn't he."

"We all are, Roger, it's the fucking apocalypse." Rem flicks an ear.

"Yeah, but still. It's rough." There's a second or two of silence. "Also, if he says it in front of Master Leonardo, I'm denying all knowledge of this conversation."

"Spirits, same."

Roger learns a few days later - from Rem, of course - that Casey has named his chainsaw hockey stick Killer, because it's what his mom used to call him. Well damn, if kids like him are gonna be the future, then maybe they have some hope after all. He raps on a wall lightly, just below where the power conduit is mounted. "I know you didn't have a lot of time with the kid, but you did a good job." He can't help but smile. "Thanks, Raph."

This is a different future timeline from the movies. Is this future Casey Jr from the apocalypse timeline or past timeline Cassandra's son aged 20 years? If it's the former, Cassandra doesn't have any children in the future (that we see) because...

Cassadra is alive in this timeline and has either a mowhawk or a mullet

Splinter becomes deathly sick either before or soon after the events of the movie. His death was inevitable no matter if the kraang invaded or not.

Leo goes on a multiverse hopping portal adventure?! In doing so he misses Splinter's death. Did he also miss it in the invasion future?

Random Facts About The Kids

A/N: Just some random facts about the turtle kiddos in no particular order💙❤️💜🧡

Warnings: None💚🐢

Both Luis and Gerardo have four fingers on each hand. That’s what happens when you cross a mutant turtle with a human. Each of the boys finds it immensely funny, mainly because they can effectively flip off their family members.

Other than following their brother around, Dorothy and Marie have a tendency to follow Sunny around, doing the things that she does, because she’s older and in their eyes, super cool. They tried doing the same with Joan and Mini, but they did not take very kindly to it.

Romeo, Joan and Galileo had made a “Big Siblings Club” where they went about their annoying little siblings. Sunny did not want to take part in this activity, as she had nothing bad to say about Luis.

Other than his father, Ragnar mirrors himself a lot in his uncle Mikey. It was Mikey that taught him how to skateboard, and helped him get over his little fear about falling and getting hurt.

Every year for Raph’s birthday, Mini knits him something, getting more and more elaborate each year. The latest being a teddy bear with a red bandana she had named “daddy teddy bear”. Raph still has the first thing she ever knitted him - a “blanket” that doesn’t even fit his whole hand.

Once Gali was old enough, at the age of 15, he and Donnie started setting up Gali’s own little lab in his bedroom. That was the day Gali put up a sign saying “no sisters allowed”.

While the other turtles have rules about not going out, until they’re old enough, Mikey was the cool dad that brought his kids to the surface with him. With one holding on to his shell and the other in his arms, he would jump around and show them New York City.

Splinter has baby pictures of all his grandchildren hanging in his bedroom.

Just like he did with his own son’s, whenever his grandchildren turn 15, he will provide them with a weapon they had favored.

Though it’s mainly their father’s that train them, each brother taking turns being the one training them for the day, Splinter often trains with his grandchildren. He is still Sensei and head of the family, and he likes to follow along in their development.

The mothers and partner of the turtles have girls night out at least once a month, while the turtles stay home and look after the children.

Even though Dorothy and Marie have their own rooms, it isn’t uncommon to find them sleeping in the same room.

Marcello and Mini are lactose intolerant.

Gali has a nut allergy.

Because the kids are half mutant turtles and half human, they grow and work differently. They were born the size of a human baby, and they grow at the same speed as a human. They’re even warm blooded.

They can chirp and churr, along with any other turtle sounds there are.

They have very very very small tails.

Their shells are smaller than their fathers’.

Luis has a teddy bear collection, made up of teddy bears his human grandparents have gotten him over the years. They are all proudly displayed on top of his bunk bed.

Gali has the biggest comic book collection out of all his cousins. He can almost put his uncle Mikey to shame.

When Marie was 4, she had a small crush on Casey and April’s kid.

Sunny’s room is bright yellow because… well… she’s Sunny.

Marcello loved to draw, and has proven to be a pretty good artist. During his brooding days, he tended to draw and paint, sometimes on the walls, causing his bedroom to look rather interesting.

Both Sunny and Luis have a small climbing wall in their rooms.

Ever since the twins were very small, Dorothy and Marie have wanted a puppy. And oh, how close their parents were to giving in.

Joan hates, hates, HATES the feeling of stickers. She hates the sound and she hates the feeling of the sticky side. She just can't stand it.

Val started hating the nickname "Princess" in her teen years, but even she could not deny the princess statues she had in her family. Did not help that she was the one that came up with the name as a toddler.

Marcello once made Gerardo, Luis and Ragnar believe that Romeo's real name was Leonardo Jr.

And somehow, in some strange way, Gali managed to make both Dorothy and Marie believe they were adopted. That worked for a full 5 min, before both girls started crying, and their parents had to tell them it wasn't true.

Sunny will sometimes take Mikey's gold chains, and walk with them as if they were hers.

I apologise for the intensely long analysis, but I was watching a dubbed version of your comics on YouTube when I came across a scene which sent me absolutely spiralling! I had to go back through “The Little Things”, “Everything is falling apart”, “You are in the past, your thoughts are in the future” and “Donatello” to find all the bits I needed.

In these images we see Casey asking Donnie about time branches, how they haven’t rewritten the future, they’ve created another one, and that Casey’s timeline still exists. BUT!! If you look closely at the very first image, we’ve seen Uncle Tello’s lines before.

Before I jump too far into that particular chapter, let’s head back briefly to these two moments:

Tello admits to Raph he could fix his robot body, and to Leo he found a potential cure, but that he needs access to materials, ingredients and equipment which existed fifteen years ago. At this point, Leo directly says “You better be planning some sort of time travel machine”

Moving back to the honey saga, Tello tells Raph he will be able to eat again: he specifically states they have the blueprint and the knowledge, all they need are the materials. Once again, time travel is mentioned, this time by Tello himself. It’s even bolded out- how tf did I think that part wasn’t super important foreshadowing the first time around -.- (it also could have been authors choice, but seeing as you rarely add small details without looping back to them, I'm suspicious).

Tello did time travel- just not in the way any of them were expecting!

Jumping into the present timeline; look how surprised Tello is about the time travel and all the extra ?? when he’s asking Casey when in time he is.

THEN we discover Tello created LITERAL RESURECTION FOLDERS (we have witnessed him firsthand play God and win multiple times) and now he and Casey have access to the MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT he mentioned previously. He got exactly what he wanted/needed! Cut to the end of the current chapter and we receive THIS:

So what I’m saying is, this mf can ACTUALLY FIX THIS and YOU, CASS, in your brilliantly devious and cleverly sneaky way, HAVE LITERALLY BEEN TELLING US THIS ENTIRE TIME EXACTLY HOW!!!

My first post on here, hello!! 👋 These drawings are from what I call my ROTTMNT Haunted! au!! Below is a pretty long explanation ⬇️

When Casey jr went through the portal, as the lone survivor raised by the Hamato clan, all the spirits from the timeline he knew went with him. After the movie, on the morning of halloween, Michelangelo wakes up to discover the undead spirits of himself and his brothers from the Darkest Timeline in his house. He can talk to them, touch them, but nobody else except Draxum can even see them.

Future Mikey, who has been affectionately dubbed “Uncle Angelo,” has a theory for why they aren’t at rest; Hamato souls have specific slots in the ninpo family line. Since their exact souls already exist in the good timeline, they’re duplicates who don’t have anyplace to go. Casey jr has almost nothing to do all day, so he’s been spiraling lately, not getting sleep and constantly looking for things to do. Every time he finds something enjoyable, he just wishes his family, the family that raised him was there to see it. He always tags along on missions to create and fulfill the slot spell, even if it hurts.

Future Leonardo (“gramps” to Mikey,) tends to fixate on Jr, how/what he’s doing. He’s pleased to see his mental health in a good state, but that’s only because he saw him when other people were around. When the truth about Jr becomes clearer to him, he becomes more.. reluctant about the spell.

However, as time passes, the veil between the spirit world and the mortal plane begins to thicken, and the lines between the present turtles and their future counterparts begin to blur. Mikey starts dreaming about fights he never fought, older than he ever was in kraangified wastelands he’s never seen anything close to. He’ll wake up in a cold sweat, thinking like an old wizard before he remembers he’s 15, he lives in the sewers, and he stopped all that stuff from coming to pass. These nightmares are becoming more vivid. Time is the one luxury they do not have.

Will the spell work?

(Additional context; Donatello can move things with his pointer finger slightly, like that politician character from that Ghost show. Additionally, Leonardo can try to deliver messages to people in their dreams, Mikey has some control over wind, Raph can make things rattle a bit, and April, they don’t know where she went. They know she’s here, where is she?)
