After rewatching Rogue One, I remembered the way so many of us were so fixated on certain things in Andor season 1, and specifically Luthen's kyber crystal necklace and what it meant and how it would play into his backstory, and then it turns out that it never really meant anything at all and we never saw it or heard about it again.
Because the reality is likely that the kyber crystal is probably just one more of Luthen's random antiques that he has in his collection, and that his comment about it having sentimental value to him was a complete and utter lie because the necklace was always just a test for Cassian. If he chooses to take the necklace and run off with it to sell it despite being told it has sentimental value to Luthen, Luthen knows he can't be trusted to join the cause because he's more interested in himself than anything else. If he chooses to find a way to bring it back to Luthen, then Luthen knows that some part of Cassian does care about others no matter what else he might do or say.
He's using the necklace not because it has any real meaning to him but because it's small and portable and kyber is something that can get you a lot of money. Anything that ACTUALLY meant something to him wouldn't be used this way, he'd never take the risk of actually losing it. And he likely acquired it the same way he acquired all of his other items, by stealing them or trading for them along the way. Maybe he's even used this particular necklace in the same way with other recruits, with Cinta or Taramyn or Nemik or even Vel.
So many of us thought it would mean he was connected to the Jedi in some way, or the Guardians of the Whills maybe, that there would be some deeper meaning to WHY he had a kyber crystal necklace. And then, no, Luthen's just an antiques dealer who has access to a lot of different little priceless objects who happens to also be a manipulative thief and a liar. And I kind-of love that, that the most obvious answer was right there the whole time and it wasn't some big mystery to unveil later. Sometimes the simplest answer is the best one. This is who Luthen is, who he's chosen to become. He's never been all that noble of a person and the noblest thing he ever did was choose to use his ability to manipulate and lie to people to take down people worse than himself.

I have seen this topic making the rounds on my dash, and even though I'm not personally a writer, I am a reader, so I am curious
#i'm gonna leave my own opinion in the tags. but in a nutshell: it's complicated#i am staunchily against anything AI but despite everything people that use it do exist#and many are humans like everyone else with a creative drive#who use AI as a misguided supplement#and bullying and mocking and sneering them out of creative spaces won't solve the inherent problem with AI#but rather just make pro-AI users resent anti-AI users and potentially overuse AI out of spite#one can argue that AI has a place on AO3 so long as it is properly tagged#just like any other controversial topic because censorship is just as bad as genAI mis-usage itself#but personally i will never want to read any of it and i would not object its ban from archiving sites#as even the worst written-by-a-thirteen-year-old-on-too-many-vitamin-gummies fic has more value than the most polished AI piece#and hope that once the bubble bursts#at least people in creative spaces will stop using it#but hey one can dream#text#my text#poll#my poll

and there an abundance of other ways to discover music available for those opposed to spotify, but I think it's a combination of the following:
1.) I've noticed that in conversations about broadening one's media palate, a lot of people seem to be extremely wary of trying anything that they aren't sure they'll like. long before I was getting into these asinine discussions about rap I was getting into equally asinine discussions trying to encourage adults who primarily or only read YA novels to try out literature written for an adult audience—not because I think there's any inherent inferiority in young adult literature, but because I think that if a person enjoy reading for fun then it's incredibly silly to ignore an enormous number of the books available based on largely incorrect generalizations about what adult literature is like. one of the most common forms of pushback, other than people doubling down on their insistence that all adult novels are written by racist white men about adultery and divorce (hello???), one of the most common objections came in the form of people expressing concern that they would try a book and find that they didn't like it.
which, to me, seems like it has a fairly obvious solution, which is putting the book down and trying a different one, but the prospect of having to engage even briefly with something that they didn't enjoy seemed to be a very real deterrent to a lot of these people, which I guess goes a long ways towards explaining their reluctance to venture too far outside of what was reliably familiar.
a lot of the people in the rap discourse seem to be operating on a similar wavelength, where they seem to be hoping they can acquire curated recommendations rather than just wandering into the deep sea of rap to discover what they like for themselves through the process of trial and error. there often seems to be a conflicting desire to both try to engage with rap (or at least, to be seen to try engaging with rap) AND to only approach rap through the lens of what's already familiar, which is how you get requests like rap for the above-mentioned "blorbo picturers" and a previous request for "rap for Chappell Roan fans," rather than exploring and embracing the genre on its own merits.
and don't get me wrong, there are people who will happily offer up those curated recommendations, but I'm not one of them. which brings us to the second point, which is:
2.) I think through context clues we can infer that a lot of the people approaching rap as if it's a horse known to kick rather than, you know, a musical genre, are either white (or at least not Black) and have made an assumption that a fellow white person (me) will be more likely to give them recommendations for rappers that will be most comfortable to them as white listeners.
which I have absolutely no interest in doing, partly because it undermines the entire conversation about valuing Black art by handing authority over to some random white bitch on tumblr dot com (me) who does not possess nor want that authority, and secondly because learning how to develop your own media tastes is a skill that one can and I dare I say must develop for themselves. go listen to some shit you don't like to find the stuff that makes you cry, it's good for you.
can you recommend some hip hop and rap for us blorbo picturers? frankly im just not exposed to it enough but i always enjoy what i listen to
despite its brevity that first sentence is genuinely such a rich text. genuinely fascinating implications of rap and hip hop being framed as specifically outside of the bounds of the "blorbo picturers," a phrase presumably meant to encapsulate what the asker considers to be the "typical" fandom blogger and with which they explicitly identify themself (note "us blorbo picturers"). the presumption that normative participation in fandom precludes knowledge of and familiarity with rap is, to say the least, a loaded one, which bears out years of formal and anecdotal analysis by nerds of color (NOC, if you will) that construct fandom as a space that treats whiteness as default and is thus often alienating if not outright outright hostile to NOC. in this essay I will

Principles and Laws of Magic for Fantasy Writers
Fundamental Laws
1. Law of Conservation of Magic- Magic cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed.
3. Law of Equivalent Exchange- To gain something, an equal value must be given.
5. Law of Magical Exhaustion- Using magic drains the user’s energy or life force.
Interaction and Interference
4. Law of Magical Interference- Magic can interfere with other magical effects.
6. Law of Magical Contamination- Magic can have unintended side effects.
8. Law of Magical Inertia- Magical effects continue until stopped by an equal or greater force.
Resonance and Conditions
7. Law of Magical Resonance- Magic resonates with certain materials, places, or times.
9. Law of Magical Secrecy- Magic must be kept secret from the non-magical world.
11. Law of Magical Hierarchy- Different types of magic have different levels of power and difficulty.
Balance and Consequences
10. Law of Magical Balance- Every positive magical effect has a negative consequence.
12. Law of Magical Limitation- Magic has limits and cannot solve every problem.
14. Law of Magical Rebound- Misused magic can backfire on the user.
Special Conditions
13. Law of Magical Conduits- Certain objects or beings can channel magic more effectively.
15. Law of Magical Cycles- Magic may be stronger or weaker depending on cycles (e.g., lunar phases).
17. Law of Magical Awareness- Some beings are more attuned to magic and can sense its presence.
Ethical and Moral Laws
16. Law of Magical Ethics- Magic should be used responsibly and ethically.
18. Law of Magical Consent- Magic should not be used on others without their consent.
20. Law of Magical Oaths- Magical promises or oaths are binding and have severe consequences if broken.
Advanced and Rare Laws
19. Law of Magical Evolution- Magic can evolve and change over time.
20. Law of Magical Singularities- Unique, one-of-a-kind magical phenomena exist and are unpredictable.
Unique and Imaginative Magical Laws
- Law of Temporal Magic- Magic can manipulate time, but with severe consequences. Altering the past can create paradoxes, and using time magic ages the caster rapidly.
- Law of Emotional Resonance- Magic is amplified or diminished by the caster’s emotions. Strong emotions like love or anger can make spells more powerful but harder to control.
- Law of Elemental Harmony- Magic is tied to natural elements (fire, water, earth, air). Using one element excessively can disrupt the balance and cause natural disasters.
- Law of Dream Magic- Magic can be accessed through dreams. Dreamwalkers can enter others’ dreams, but they risk getting trapped in the dream world.
- Law of Ancestral Magic- Magic is inherited through bloodlines. The strength and type of magic depend on the caster’s ancestry, and ancient family feuds can influence magical abilities.
- Law of Symbiotic Magic- Magic requires a symbiotic relationship with magical creatures. The caster and creature share power, but harming one affects the other.
- Law of Forgotten Magic- Ancient spells and rituals are lost to time. Discovering and using forgotten magic can yield great power but also unknown dangers.
- Law of Magical Echoes- Spells leave behind echoes that can be sensed or traced. Powerful spells create stronger echoes that linger longer.
- Law of Arcane Geometry- Magic follows geometric patterns. Spells must be cast within specific shapes or alignments to work correctly.
- Law of Celestial Magic- Magic is influenced by celestial bodies. Spells are stronger during certain astronomical events like eclipses or planetary alignments.
- Law of Sentient Magic- Magic has a will of its own. It can choose to aid or hinder the caster based on its own mysterious motives.
- Law of Shadow Magic- Magic can manipulate shadows and darkness. Shadowcasters can travel through shadows but are vulnerable to light.
- Law of Sympathetic Magic- Magic works through connections. A spell cast on a representation of a person (like a doll or portrait) affects the actual person.
- Law of Magical Artifacts- Certain objects hold immense magical power. These artifacts can only be used by those deemed worthy or who possess specific traits.
- Law of Arcane Paradoxes- Some spells create paradoxes that defy logic. These paradoxes can have unpredictable and often dangerous outcomes.
- Law of Elemental Fusion- Combining different elemental magics creates new, hybrid spells with unique properties and effects.
- Law of Ethereal Magic- Magic can interact with the spirit world. Ethereal mages can communicate with spirits, but prolonged contact can blur the line between life and death.
- Law of Arcane Symbiosis- Magic can bond with technology, creating magical machines or enchanted devices with extraordinary capabilities.
- Law of Dimensional Magic- Magic can open portals to other dimensions. Dimensional travelers can explore alternate realities but risk getting lost or encountering hostile beings.
- Law of Arcane Sacrifice- Powerful spells require a sacrifice, such as a cherished memory, a personal item, or even a part of the caster’s soul.

Harassment Part I
No matter how well-mannered the guys are, within the walls of Night Raven College, there are those who will start harassing guests from another world.
Warning: unpleasant content, mentions of harassment, if you are uncomfortable, do not read. Fem! Reader.
Third year Second year First year
Trey Clover
Trey would definitely not remain indifferent to what was happening to his crush, even if he was being discreet. He would most likely approach the situation wisely, so as not to attract unnecessary attention, but still act effectively. He could intervene by talking to those who were behaving inappropriately, and if that did not produce results, he would take more drastic measures.
He is very caring, providing her with safety and confidence that he is there and she can always count on him. He would tell her not to worry and always ask him for help when she needs it. Perhaps he would suggest safer routes around the college to avoid such situations.
Trey, as a person who values order, would probably also contact the other dorm leaders or teachers to resolve the problem on a more official level. He would carefully collect evidence and convey the information to the right people in order to protect his crush, while remaining calm and avoiding aggressive actions.
In moments of personal interaction with her, he would subtly but firmly show that he is concerned and that her safety is important to him. He can be very empathetic, trying to support her morally, especially in such a new situation for her. Trey is unlikely to be aggressive, rather he would use his intelligence and organization to protect his beloved and ensure that she does not become the object of further harassment.
Cater Diamond
Cater, despite his easy-going personality and obsession with social media, knew exactly how to protect his crush. He would probably try to resolve the situation with humor at first, making the harassers look ridiculous in front of other students, maybe even filming them for his Magicam followers. However, if the situation became more serious, he would not hesitate to step in, using his intuitive abilities to resolve the conflict without physical violence.
Despite his easy-going manner, Cater would not only be adept at social situations, but also empathetic enough to notice if his crush was uncomfortable. He would have a conversation with these guys, manipulating them with words, emphasizing that their behavior was not only inappropriate, but also uncool in the eyes of others. He would use his popularity and influence to create pressure on those who tried to violate her boundaries, even if it meant exposing their actions publicly. If the harassment continued, Cater would likely bring it to attention on the Magicam platform, not hesitating to share the situation with large numbers of people, which would result in considerable public shaming and punishment for the perpetrators.
Cater would likely use his charm and conversational skills to calm his lover down. He might start with a lighthearted and relaxing approach to make her feel safe. If jokes fail, he would quickly switch to a more serious tone. He might reassure her that she should not be bothered by such people, reminding her that she is the most important thing to him. Cater would be gentle in his approach, trying not to make her feel too vulnerable or helpless. He would quickly redirect her attention to something pleasant or positive, so that she does not remain in a stressed state.
Leona Kingscholar
Leona may seem lazy and apathetic, but if someone approaches his woman with inappropriate intentions, the predator in him awakens. He does not tolerate encroachment on what he considers his. He is not one to openly restrict the freedom of his beloved or hang a label on her "belongs to me", but in his presence, no one would dare even hint at something like that. One look is enough to scare off unwanted admirers.
If someone dares to cross the line, Leona will not take long to sort it out. The intruder can "accidentally" fall under the influence of his special magic, temporarily losing the ability to move, speak, or even be in school without fear. Leona is a master of strategy and knows how to eliminate the problem discreetly.
Outwardly, he may seem indifferent to the situation, but this is only an illusion. He watches everyone who tries to approach her inappropriately. If his beloved does not resist the attention, he can pretend that it is none of his business. But if she is not delighted, this is already his territory. And lions, as you know, are very territorial.
A warning without words - those who once made a mistake will not have to repeat it again. There is a feeling of hidden threat in the air next to Leona - like a lion lazily lying in the shade, but ready to bite her throat at any moment.
Although he is harsh to others, Leona can be surprisingly gentle next to his beloved. It is important to him that she feels safe, but not weak. He trusts her to deal with the situation while she can, but if the boundaries are crossed, he takes matters into his own hands. In a world where he is used to fighting for a place in the sun, she is his exception, his quiet corner. And he will not allow anyone to disturb her peace.
Vil Schoenheit
Vil, despite his arrogance and confidence, has a strong sense of responsibility for his loved ones. If one of the less well-mannered students allowed himself to harass his beloved, he would immediately intervene. However, he would prefer to do this discreetly, expressing his displeasure not through rudeness, but through confident but cold remarks. He could stare at the offender and dryly warn that such actions are unacceptable.
Vil, as a person with a sharp mind and a tendency to manipulate, could decide to use his connections and influence to get rid of such people. He would try to surround his beloved with care and support, but at the same time he would covertly eliminate the threat, without attracting attention. For example, he could secretly indicate to other more well-mannered students how to help in this situation.
Despite his outward coldness, Vil shows concern for the people he values. If his lover were to find himself in a difficult situation, he would use his actions to make her feel comfortable and safe, providing support whenever he felt she was in danger. He would console her in a discreet but gentle manner, perhaps saying something like, "You're under my protection, don't worry."
Overall, Vil would act discreetly but decisively in such a situation, using a combination of his confidence, manipulative abilities, and caring to protect his lover, while still maintaining his subtle style and manner.
Rook Hunt
Rook, as an experienced hunter, has a strong instinct to protect those he cares about. If he noticed someone making advances toward his lover, he would likely react immediately, but with a touch of grace. He might quietly observe the situation until he realized the situation was becoming threatening, and then intervene, displaying his protective nature.
He might not simply approach the aggressor with threats, but use his charisma and intellectual skills to manipulate the situation. He might feign conversation with the offender, while politely but firmly demonstrating that he will not tolerate such behavior, perhaps pretending that the situation is not so serious, but hiding a deep threat behind it.
Being very considerate of his lover's feelings, Rook would make sure that she does not feel guilty or ashamed about what is happening. He can reassure her, say something like: "You don't need to worry, I'll take care of it. You don't deserve to be treated like this."
In general, Rook in such a situation, being both a protector and an eccentric person, would try to act quickly, but with humor and chic, showing his affection and care for his beloved.
Idia Shroud
Idia will most likely try to pretend nothing is happening at first. He will panic and lock himself in a room, convincing himself that “it’s none of his business” or that “she can handle it herself.” But the more he thinks about it, the angrier he will get — primarily at himself for his indecisiveness.
If he finds out about it online (for example, through messages from Ortho or anonymous rumors), he will start writing emotionally in the chat, using caps lock and a lot of slang. But in real life, he will still be afraid to do anything in person.
At some point, his anger will overcome his fear, and he will use his engineering skills. For example, he will set a trap that will make the bullies look like idiots in front of everyone. Or he will create a device that will scare them with a holographic illusion of a scary monster. If the situation is too serious, he can send Ortho to sort it out.
If the harassment reaches a dangerous point, another side of Idia will turn on. He is used to the worst, but when it comes to HIS beloved, he cannot just sit back. He can appear in person (yes, by force), hiding his face with a hood, and in a sharp, but still stuttering tone, threaten the offenders. Perhaps he will back up his words with a demonstration of his magic. The blue flames hovering around are very frightening for ordinary students.
Afterwards, Idia will of course be super embarrassed. He will try to downplay his reaction. If the girl thanks him or says something cute, he will immediately wilt in embarrassment and run back to his room. If the incident was serious, Idia may set up a tracking system on her to always know where she is or even create a security drone to follow her around school (which will probably annoy her a little). He will get paranoid if she takes too long to respond to his messages and bombard her with memes like "If you're being held hostage, send this emoji."
Malleus Draconia
Malleus is not one to resort to aggression right away, but if he learns of inappropriate behavior, he will first try to resolve the situation with words. However, his words and presence alone inspire fear. Even the most self-confident boors will feel a chill run down their spine.
If someone dares to disobey or try again, Malleus will not stand on ceremony. His magical power is so great that he can easily create an atmosphere of intimidating pressure, from which the legs of those around him will begin to buckle. The electricity in the entire building will begin to flicker, and the air will be filled with discharges. Nature will simply begin to rage.
In the end, the most important thing for Malleus is the comfort and safety of his beloved. If she is upset or scared, he will surround her with care, try to console her - perhaps even offer her to spend the night in Diasomnia, where no one will dare to touch her. And, of course, he will be very happy if she asks for his protection herself.
Malleus is not someone who will scream and immediately rush into a fight, but he inspires such strong fear that his presence alone is enough to stop any attempts at harassment. However, if the offenders do not take the hint, they risk encountering the true power of the heir of dragon blood - and are unlikely to want to repeat their mistakes.
Lilia Vanrouge
Lilia always smiles, and even in potentially unpleasant situations, his first impulse is to turn everything into a joke. But as soon as someone crosses the line, his gaze becomes dangerously cold. He can be intimidating when he wants to be, because years spent in the court of the fairies have taught him that a true threat does not always scream - sometimes it just silently watches until you realize your mistake.
Lilia can be patient, but he has clear boundaries. He will take a warning step - a gentle reminder that he sees everything and knows everything. Perhaps his magic will manifest itself imperceptibly: strange but frightening things will begin to happen to the offender. Books will fall on their own, potions will suddenly give an unexpected effect, and at night they think that someone is watching them from the darkness.
If someone dares to continue, Lilia will show that the fairies can be much more dangerous than they seem. He won't resort to brute force - why would he, when he can make a person regret their actions in more sophisticated ways? Maybe their voice will suddenly disappear for a few days, or maybe their shadow will start moving on its own. In general, jokes are jokes, but the consequences will be quite tangible.
After any incident, the first thing he will do is make sure that his beloved is okay. Lilia will not just support her - he will make sure that she does not feel lonely for a second in this strange world. Perhaps he will invite her for a night walk, tell her another legend, just sit next to her until she feels better.
Lilia can be playful, cheerful and even frivolous at first glance, but when it comes to his loved ones - especially his beloved - he knows no mercy. Even if he himself does not take harsh measures, his magic and intellect will make sure that no one else dares to disturb her peace.

This is actually a useful thing to understand how to spell out. What exactly is wrong with puritanical attitudes towards sexuality? TW: Discusses body image issues, suicide, STIs, sexual assault etc
1. It fosters fear, disgust and loathing of our bodies. By hiding the human body as soon as we are born, and treating it as an object of inherent shame: THAT creates trauma. Shame is one of the primary sources of trauma, its the fuel and lets trauma burn. Those raised in nudist societies, and children raised in households where nudity is treated in a neutral and non-sexual tend to have a much more positive relationship with their bodies as adults. This makes complete sense when you think about it. Going through puberty not knowing if your body is "normal" terrifies children in ways that stick with them for life. In fact, most cultures outside of the Unites States aren't as strange about non-sexual nudity actually...and are healthier for it. We can't have body positivity as long as we are literally criminalized for having an uncovered body. 2. It creates fear, shame and disgust about sex. Most people have sex at some point in their lives. No one would be here at all without it. Most people have sexual desires which lie outside their control. When people are ashamed of those desires, it leads to self hatred, and depression and anxiety. This shame is just as traumatic as bodily shame. When sex is normalized, and treated with the same candor as any other hobby: it becomes less apt to traumatize people.
3. Puritanical attitudes towards sex limit sex education. When people are too ashamed to talk about sex, people don't learn about pregnancy, stis, or consent. All of these things can and do kill people when they aren't addressed with an open dialogue.
Sexual shame leads to people too ashamed to buy condoms, to talk to their doctor about birth control, to ask their partner to use protection, to get tested...the negative health impacts of sexual puritanism have a massive negative effect on society.
4. Sexual shame leads to poorer communication in relationships. Ohh if I had a dime for every person i knew who ruined their relationship because they felt too guilty to talk to their partner about their sexual feelings...Not just that, but the general body shame that comes with puritanism blocks people from connecting to one another too. Have you ever avoided getting close to someone because you were ashamed of your body? If not, I guarantee you know someone who has.
5. Misogyny! Puritanical sexual believes hold that women are not capable of sexual agency. That only men should initiate sex. That women should only ever want babies and not pleasure from sex. All of this rolls right into the next one:
6. Victim blaming in sexual assault. When women are the gatekeepers of sex, its easy to blame them when they 'fail' to protect their chastity when someone violates their trust. This isn't something that just effects women: as the same attitudes hold that men are not capable of experiencing sexual assault. The lack of education and discussion about sex in a sex-negative world inherently prevent the open dialogues necessary for creating and maintaining consent culture.
7. Suppression and marginalization of the queer community. If we're too ashamed to talk about sex, we'll be too ashamed to talk about sexuality. Puritans can't accept any deviation from gender norms either. Anything other than sex between a cis man and a cis woman for the purpose of making a baby is a deviant kink, a mental illness, and needs to be wiped out. Its important to point out that many queer people hold puritanical values about sex: believing that they can achieve sex negativity and queer liberation at the same time. However, sex negative movements always rise with censorship and discrimination of queer people...because queer people are inherently considered deviant by the vast majority of sex negative "allies". It's very dangerous to forget this.
8. Censorship of art. Who decides what is sexual and what is not? Its easy to agree that sex needs to be hidden...but it never takes long before the definition of what is "sexual" expands. Even women's breasts are considered sexual in the United States. Its so normal for Americans to think of them that way that women can't feed their children in public. Drag queens face violence for reading at libraries. Books get taken off the shelves. Artists are bullied offline.
9. Censorship of scientific exploration. Scientific research into reproductive health, sexual behavior, gender identity and more are often hindered due to the "moral objections" of puritans, delaying progress and understanding. That's just off the top of my head. I think its time for people to take how problematic 'puritanism' is more seriously. As we see fascism rear its ugly head all over the world, we're going to see a lot more talk about 'degenerates'...and we know where that kind of talk leads.

« First of all, love is a joint experience between two persons — but the fact that it is a joint experience does not mean that it is a similar experience to the two people involved. There are the lover and the beloved, but these two come from different countries. Often the beloved is only a stimulus for all the stored-up love which had lain quiet within the lover for a long time hitherto. And somehow every lover knows this. He feels in his soul that his love is a solitary thing. He comes to know a new, strange loneliness and it is this knowledge which makes him suffer. So there is only one thing for the lover to do. He must house his love within himself as best he can; he must create for himself a whole new inward world — a world intense and strange, complete in himself. Let it be added here that this lover about whom we speak need not necessarily be a young man saving for a wedding ring — this lover can be man, woman, child, or indeed any human creature on this earth.
Now, the beloved can also be of any description. The most outlandish people can be the stimulus for love. A man may be a doddering great-grandfather and still love only a strange girl he saw in the streets of Cheehaw one afternoon two decades past. The preacher may love a fallen woman. The beloved may be treacherous, greasy-headed, and given to evil habits. Yes, and the lover may see this as clearly as anyone else — but that does not affect the evolution of his love one whit. A most mediocre person can be the object of a love which is wild, extravagant, and beautiful as the poison lilies of the swamp. A good man may be the stimulus for a love both violent and debased, or a jabbering madman may bring about in the soul of someone a tender and simple idyll. Therefore, the value and quality of any love is determined solely by the lover himself.
It is for this reason that most of us would rather love than be loved. Almost everyone wants to be the lover. And the curt truth is that, in a deep secret way, the state of being beloved is intolerable to many. The beloved fears and hates the lover, and with the best of reasons. For the lover is forever trying to strip bare his beloved. The lover craves any possible relation with the beloved, even if this experience can cause him only pain. »

How to Make Your Life Fulfilling? Venus in houses
Venus in the 1st house
Venus in the 1st house gives you a natural charm and warmth that draws people in effortlessly. You have a way of making others feel seen and appreciated, and this can open so many doors for you, both personally and professionally. To make your life more fulfilling, lean into that charm—but not just for the sake of getting along with people. Use it to genuinely connect, to create meaningful relationships that feed your soul rather than just your ego.
Since Venus is all about beauty, love, and harmony, surround yourself with things that bring you joy and a sense of peace. This could mean curating a beautiful living space, engaging in creative self-expression, or even just taking time for self-care rituals that make you feel good in your own skin. You naturally exude a certain magnetism, so embrace it—but remember, true fulfillment doesn’t come from how others see you. It comes from how you feel about yourself.
Also, with Venus in the 1st house, you may have a tendency to seek validation from others. It’s great to be liked, but don’t let it define your worth. The more you love and value yourself for who you truly are—not just for how you present yourself—the more you’ll attract people who genuinely appreciate you.
Venus in the 2nd house
With Venus in the 2nd house, your sense of fulfillment is closely tied to your values, possessions, and the way you experience comfort and pleasure. You have a natural talent for attracting resources, whether it’s money, beautiful objects, or people who support you. There’s an appreciation for quality over quantity, and you tend to seek out things that feel luxurious or aesthetically pleasing.
However, true fulfillment with this placement isn’t just about accumulating things—it’s about aligning your resources with what truly matters to you. What do you value most? Is it security, beauty, love, or perhaps a sense of self-worth? The more you connect your resources and talents to those deeper values, the more content and abundant you’ll feel.
You also have a knack for making money through Venusian pursuits—art, design, beauty, or anything that brings pleasure to the senses. But watch out for the tendency to equate your self-worth with your net worth. Venus here can sometimes get too attached to material validation. Instead, focus on cultivating self-love and appreciating what you already have. That’s where the real sense of richness comes from.
Venus in the 3rd house
Venus in the 3rd house brings charm and grace to the way you communicate. You have a natural ability to connect with people through words, whether it’s through writing, speaking, or just casual conversation. You can make even the most mundane topics sound interesting and engaging, which makes you someone others enjoy talking to.
To feel truly fulfilled with this placement, lean into the art of communication. Share your thoughts, write, journal, or even engage in storytelling. You have a gift for making connections, not just between people but also between ideas. You could thrive in roles where you’re able to express yourself creatively—writing, teaching, marketing, or social media.
Relationships with siblings, neighbors, or people in your immediate environment can also be a source of pleasure and support. Venus here can bring harmony to these connections, but it can also indicate a tendency to avoid conflict or gloss over difficult conversations. Remember, true connection comes from being authentic, not just charming.
There’s also a love of learning with this placement. You’re drawn to beautiful words, poetry, art, or even music with meaningful lyrics. Feeding your mind with things that inspire and uplift you can be incredibly fulfilling.
Venus in the 4th house
Venus in the 4th house brings a deep love for home, family, and the feeling of emotional security. You’re someone who finds fulfillment in creating a beautiful, comforting, and harmonious living space—a place that feels like a sanctuary. Your home is likely a reflection of your personal style and values, and you might have a knack for interior design or decorating with a touch of elegance and warmth.
Relationships with family, especially with women or maternal figures, can be significant with this placement. There’s a desire to maintain peace and harmony within the family unit, and you may be the peacemaker, the one who smooths over conflicts or tries to keep everyone happy. But it’s important to ensure that your own emotional needs don’t get lost in the process of keeping the peace.
On a deeper level, Venus here suggests that you seek emotional security through close, loving connections. You thrive when you feel loved and supported at a core, foundational level. It’s not just about physical comfort—it’s about feeling emotionally safe and valued by those closest to you.
You might also have a love for nostalgia, family heirlooms, or anything that carries sentimental value. Surrounding yourself with things that evoke happy memories can be incredibly fulfilling.
Venus in the 5th house
With Venus in the 5th house, life becomes so much more fulfilling when you let yourself fully lean into joy, creativity, and self-expression. This placement is all about letting your inner artist come out to play. Maybe it’s painting, dancing, writing poetry, or just finding little ways to make everyday life feel more romantic and fun. You’re someone who thrives when you’re creating beauty or experiencing it, so make time for the things that light you up.
Love and romance are also major sources of fulfillment for you. But it’s not just about falling in love with someone else—it’s about falling in love with life itself. Date yourself. Treat yourself to little luxuries, whether it’s a spontaneous weekend trip, a fancy coffee, or a night out doing something you genuinely enjoy. The more you infuse your days with moments that feel special, the more alive you’ll feel.
And don’t forget to play. Venus in the 5th house is like the cosmic permission slip to embrace your inner child. Go do things just for the fun of it, without any expectation of being productive or impressive. Whether it’s a silly game night with friends or trying something new just for the thrill, those moments of pure, uncomplicated joy are what keep your spirit thriving.
You also have a gift for making others feel special, and that can be incredibly fulfilling. Compliment someone, write a love letter, or surprise a friend with something thoughtful. The love you give has a way of coming back to you tenfold, especially when it’s given without expectation.
Venus in the 6th house
With Venus in the 6th house, life feels more fulfilling when you find beauty and pleasure in the everyday routines. You’re someone who can turn even the simplest tasks into something enjoyable—like making your morning coffee a little ritual, organizing your workspace to feel cozy and inviting, or putting on your favorite playlist while you get things done. The more you bring a sense of grace and harmony to your daily life, the more content and grounded you’ll feel.
Work and service are big themes here too. You’re at your best when you’re doing work that feels meaningful, especially if it involves helping others or creating a more pleasant, harmonious environment. Maybe you have a knack for making things look beautiful, whether it’s arranging flowers, designing a workspace, or just bringing a calm, welcoming vibe to the office. The key is to find work that not only supports you financially but also feels rewarding on a soul level.
There’s also a desire for balance and harmony in your health and wellness routines. You might feel most fulfilled when you’re taking care of yourself in a way that feels good rather than just going through the motions. Think gentle movement, nourishing foods, or creating a relaxing bedtime routine that genuinely helps you unwind.
Relationships with coworkers or those you see on a day-to-day basis can be another source of warmth and connection. You’re someone who can make even mundane interactions feel pleasant and kind, and that energy tends to come back to you. Small acts of kindness, thoughtful gestures, or simply taking time to connect can bring a lot of subtle but lasting fulfillment.
Venus in the 7th house
With Venus in the 7th house, life feels most fulfilling when you’re deeply connected to others in a way that’s balanced, loving, and genuinely harmonious. You’re someone who craves meaningful, one-on-one connections—whether it’s a romantic partnership, a close friendship, or even a business collaboration. You naturally know how to make people feel seen and appreciated, and that energy tends to draw others to you like a magnet.
Romantic relationships are especially significant with this placement. You thrive in partnerships where there’s mutual respect, affection, and a sense of shared beauty—whether that’s creating a beautiful home together, going on romantic dates, or just finding little ways to make each other feel special. But it’s not just about having a partner; it’s about having a partnership that feels balanced and fair, where both people feel equally valued.
There’s also a talent for creating harmony and peace in your interactions. You’re a natural mediator, someone who can smooth over conflicts and help people find common ground. This can be a gift in both personal and professional relationships, but it’s important to be mindful of not over-compromising just to keep the peace. Your needs matter too.
Life also feels more fulfilling when you surround yourself with beauty and grace. Maybe that means planning intimate gatherings, visiting art galleries, or simply spending time with people who inspire you. The more you cultivate relationships that feel warm, loving, and aesthetically pleasing, the more fulfilled you’ll feel.
Venus in the 8th house
With Venus in the 8th house, life feels most fulfilling when you’re diving deep—into relationships, into your own psyche, into the mysteries of life. Superficial connections just don’t do it for you; you crave intensity, intimacy, and transformative experiences that feel almost soul-deep. You’re drawn to people and situations that make you feel seen in ways that are profound, raw, and real.
There’s a magnetic, almost hypnotic quality to your presence. People may find themselves confiding in you or feeling inexplicably drawn to you. But fulfillment doesn’t come from just any connection—it comes from those rare, all-consuming bonds where you can be completely vulnerable and still feel safe and valued.
Money and resources can also be areas of focus with this placement. You might find yourself drawn to situations involving shared finances, inheritances, or investments. You could even have a knack for attracting wealth through partnerships or strategic alliances. But the deeper lesson here is about not letting money or possessions define your worth. True abundance for you is about emotional and spiritual richness, not just material wealth.
Sexuality, too, can be a path to fulfillment. You’re someone who experiences love and desire intensely, and casual flings may leave you feeling empty. You crave the kind of connection where intimacy isn’t just physical—it’s emotional, psychological, even spiritual. When you find someone you can trust enough to let your guard down completely, that’s where the magic happens.
Healing and transformation are big themes here too. You have the potential to deeply heal yourself and others by facing your own shadows and helping others face theirs. The more you embrace the depths of who you are—the light and the dark—the more empowered and fulfilled you’ll feel.
Venus in the 9th house
With Venus in the 9th house, life feels most fulfilling when you’re exploring, learning, and expanding your horizons. You’re someone who finds beauty in the bigger picture—in new experiences, different cultures, and the pursuit of knowledge that opens your mind and heart. Routine and predictability can feel stifling; you crave the excitement of discovering new perspectives and connecting with people who inspire you to think differently.
Travel can be a major source of joy and inspiration. You’re the type who falls in love with distant places, foreign customs, and the feeling of being somewhere completely new. Even if you can’t physically travel, exploring new philosophies, spiritual practices, or higher education can give you that same sense of expansion and fulfillment.
Relationships often take on a more adventurous, expansive quality with this placement. You’re drawn to people who broaden your worldview—those who challenge you to see life through a different lens. Romantic connections might even come through travel, education, or shared beliefs, and you’re likely most attracted to those who have a bit of a free spirit or worldly vibe.
You also have a love for wisdom and meaning. Superficial small talk? Not your thing. You want conversations that go deeper, that explore life’s purpose or the nature of love and beauty. You might feel most fulfilled when you’re discussing philosophy, spirituality, or big-picture ideas that make you feel more connected to something greater than yourself.
Venus in the 10th house
With Venus in the 10th house, life feels most fulfilling when you’re recognized for your talents, beauty, or charm in a public or professional setting. You naturally know how to present yourself in a way that’s attractive and appealing, making you someone who can easily win people over in business, career, or social circles. There’s a magnetic quality to how you carry yourself, and people often notice your grace, style, or charisma.
You’re someone who finds purpose in being admired for what you do, not just who you are. There’s a desire to be respected, appreciated, or even loved for your work or contributions to the world. You might feel most fulfilled when you’re in a role where you can express your Venusian qualities—art, design, fashion, beauty, diplomacy, or any field where creating harmony and aesthetics is part of the job.
Relationships can also play a significant role in your career or public life. You may attract partners who can elevate your status or support your ambitions, or you may find love through work or professional connections. There’s a natural talent for networking and forming alliances that are both beneficial and pleasant.
However, the lesson here is not to get too caught up in appearances or external validation. It’s great to be admired, but true fulfillment comes from doing work that feels aligned with your values and brings a sense of genuine accomplishment. When you’re creating something that feels beautiful or meaningful to you, the recognition naturally follows.
There’s also a graceful, diplomatic way you handle responsibilities. You can be a natural mediator or someone who brings a touch of elegance to leadership roles. People may look up to you not just for what you achieve, but for how you achieve it—with poise, tact, and a genuine love for what you do.
Venus in the 11th house
With Venus in the 11th house, life feels most fulfilling when you’re surrounded by people who share your values, dreams, and ideals. You’re someone who thrives in groups, communities, and friendships where there’s a sense of connection and mutual support. You naturally attract people who are kind, artistic, or socially conscious, and you have a knack for making others feel welcome and included.
Friendships can be a major source of joy for you. You’re the type who genuinely enjoys connecting people, bringing different circles together, or planning gatherings that feel warm and inclusive. You have a way of making group settings feel more harmonious, and people are drawn to your easygoing, likable energy.
There’s also a love for causes, movements, or shared visions. You might feel most fulfilled when you’re involved in projects that bring people together for a greater purpose—whether it’s activism, charity work, or just creating a sense of community. You’re someone who can bring a touch of beauty or artistry to group efforts, whether that’s through creative collaborations, event planning, or just making things feel more pleasant and inviting.
Romance can also have a slightly unconventional vibe here. You might find yourself falling for someone who feels more like a best friend, or you could meet partners through social groups, online communities, or shared interests. The lines between friendship and romance can blur, and you’re likely drawn to people who share your hopes and dreams for the future.
But the key to feeling truly fulfilled with this placement is to stay connected to what you love, not just who you love. What are the big dreams and visions that light you up? What kind of people make you feel inspired and uplifted? The more you surround yourself with those kinds of connections, the more your Venus shines.
Venus in the 12th house
With Venus in the 12th house, life feels most fulfilling when you’re tapping into the deeper, more subtle layers of love, beauty, and connection. You’re someone who experiences love in a soulful, almost otherworldly way. There’s a natural pull toward the mystical, the hidden, and the unspoken, and you may find yourself drawn to people or experiences that feel a bit like a dream or a secret.
There’s a deep, compassionate heart here. You’re someone who can love unconditionally, often seeing the beauty in people that others might overlook. But there can also be a tendency to give too much or to lose yourself in relationships, so finding that balance between self-sacrifice and self-love is key.
Solitude can be incredibly nourishing for you. Time alone, daydreaming, creating art, or simply getting lost in your own inner world can feel as fulfilling as being with others. You might find peace through spiritual practices, meditation, or spending time in nature—anything that allows you to connect with the intangible.
Love can be a bit elusive with this placement. There might be secret relationships, unspoken feelings, or attractions to people who are somehow unavailable or difficult to reach. There’s a romantic, almost fairy-tale quality to how you experience love, but it can also mean that you’re drawn to situations that are more fantasy than reality.
Art, music, and anything that allows you to express the deeper, more emotional parts of yourself can be incredibly healing and fulfilling. You have a gift for channeling your feelings into something beautiful, and the more you do that, the more your soul feels nourished.

THE 5 LOVE LANGUAGES 𝔵 JASON TODD

ⓘ love language : a person's characteristic means of expressing and experiencing love. note. got covid so i wrote the majority of this in bed lol
❝ ACTS OF SERVICE ❞ ⸻⸻⸻⸻ ⸻ ﹒
jason’s dominant expression of attachment is through action, often coded as protection. now he doesn’t articulate affection directly, but his decisions (frequently violent, morally ambiguous, or self-endangering) reveal an ingrained instinct to shield others. from early adolescence, he understood that love, if it meant anything, had to be proven with action.
under bruce, he learned to channel this drive into something more structured: protect the innocent, follow through, serve justice. jason internalised that, but filtered it through his own experiences. his ethic of care was shaped by loss, abandonment, and death. to jason, if you care about someone, you fucking do something about it. after the lazarus pit, this trait only intensified; he became more militant about protecting people he saw as his responsibility. this goes without saying that he’ll kill for you—has, and will again. notably, he may reject help from others, perceiving self-reliance as a survival mechanism. when he allows others to assist him, it signifies a very deep trust.
❝ PHYSICAL TOUCH ❞ ⸻⸻⸻⸻ ⸻
complicated. pre-trauma (pre-death), anecdotal evidence suggests jason was physically affectionate. post-resurrection though, physical touch may trigger hypervigilance or dissociation. he’s not exactly avoidant. on some deeper level, he wants it, craves it, even. but only on his terms and without surprise. if he’s letting you touch him, he’s already made a conscious choice. contact tends to trigger fight-or-flight unless it’s from someone he’s mentally filed as “safe.” even then, it takes time because he needs to assess the intent and pattern first. you’ve learned not to startle jason. when you do reach for him, he won’t always meet you halfway, but he won’t stop you either. sometimes, he’ll even lean into it, let your hand cradle his jaw or your knee press lightly against his under the table. when initiated by him, physical touch is always intentional and super rare.
❝ WORDS OF AFFIRMATION ❞ ⸻ ⸻⸻⸻
he generally distrusts verbal assurances. years of emotional inconsistency, perceived abandonment, and betrayal have rendered language hollow in his worldview. when someone tries to express affection verbally, his first instinct is suspicion. compliments may be deflected or mocked. and when he does offer verbal affection, it’s often oblique—dry humor, begrudging respect, dark jokes. moments of direct affirmation are intensely vulnerable and often framed through anger or defiance (e.g., “i never stopped caring, that’s the problem”). receiving affirmation may cause him visible discomfort, though it still registers.
❝ RECEIVING GIFTS❞ ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻
selective, but significant. the paperback you tracked down (the out-of-print edition he’d mentioned only once, in passing.) the gloves you left folded on the counter after noticing the ones he wore were splitting at the seams. jason doesn’t view objects as inherently meaningful—he doesn’t assign value to things, only to the intent behind them. he’s not effusive in return. most of what he gives is pragmatic, given without ceremony or explanation. a stun gun mysteriously appears in your bag after he walked you home one night. a second helmet on his motorbike. his hoodie folded on your bed because he’s seen you shiver in the mornings and doesn’t want you to have to ask.
when it isn’t strictly practical, it still has function. a dog-eared copy of the latest novel he read—left on your nightstand, filled with underline passages and margin notes that read like he’s talking directly to you. his gifts are silent acknowledgments: i see you. you matter to me.
❝ QUALITY TIME ❞ ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻
jason’s used to solitude. silence doesn’t unsettle him—it’s the baseline. you people either stick around or they don’t. most don’t. being around him isn’t easy, he’s aware of that too. if you choose to stay near him, you’re exposing yourself to his volatility, the sharp edge that never fully dulled. it’s not an easy choice to make.
he doesn’t require conversation. half the time, jason prefers the silence. he’s comfortable with proximity without pressure (e.g., watching crappy TV, eating takeout on a fire escape etc.)
the more time you spend with jason consistently, the more he lets down the armor. not all at once of course; but in increments. when he starts talking unprompted—thoughts he normally keeps to himself, tidbits of his past.

title: awaken.
pairing: barbarian!bakugo x goddess!reader,
synopsisꨄ. you've been asleep all this time, who knew a barbarian would be the one to awaken you?
(extended ver of this)
as katsuki wandered through the never ending forest, he let the words of the elders ring through his head. "you'll never be anything more than a placeholder for the next king."
he set off, destined to prove himself, show that he was worth more than any of them could predict. his father was worried and heartbroken at his sudden departure, but his mother understood that he'd need to do this now, or he'd never forgive himself.
the first thing he did as he set off was to secure food for the night. he eyed a group of hogs, all large and heavy, perfect for feeding him throughout the night. he grabbed the bow out of his satchel and aimed it at the largest one, which landed perfectly in his target's head. he couldn't help but to let out a celebratory laugh as it fell to the ground, making the hogs around it scurry off into the forest.
that seemed to be the last of his luck for the day. he now wished he chose a different day to set off, as the rains and winds were heavy, it was impossible to set up camp in the forest as it was. suddenly, through the curtains of heavy greenery, he saw an abandoned structure. he'd prefer anything to the harsh conditions mother nature set out on him now, so he cut through the vines as he made his way into the structure.
it was grand inside, he thought. he couldn't see very well thanks to the darkness brought on by the rains, but from what he could see it must have been a place of high regard in its peak.
he lit a torch, carrying it as he continued on into the structure. he determined it had been a church in its old days, long forgotten due to.. well he didn't figure that part out yet.
he bumped into a object that resembled a bench, besides the old candle wax, fresh leaves, and golden statutes he saw littering it. he made a mental note to take those with him as he organized his things onto the bench.
he laid his wine down first, a treat he'd enjoy on the way back to his kingdom. next, he laid down his clothes he planned to change into. though he was a barbarian, and by nature they did not wear many clothes, katsuki knew the trip would require such clothing, so he brought the best.
his next item was the huge hog he'd caught earlier. he lugged it on to the bench-like object, thinking of how it was a perfect spot to gut and prepare it for his meal later on. speaking of his cooking, he made sure to bring only the finest oils to cook in. he set it down next to the hog, satisfied with his array of items, he'd slumped against the bench, closed his eyes and sighed.
when he opened it again, he saw the shadow of a person moving behind him. alarmed, he readied his other weapon he always kept on his side, his blade welded by his mother.
though, his blade was dropped out of his hand at the sight. his jaw went slack, eyes wide, and the sudden urge to worship overcame him as he finally saw who was behind him.
a gorgeous.. deity? who glowed with an luminous essence, who adorned pointed ears, heavy amounts of gold, a silk dress that encapsulated your body, and an unreadable expression as you sifted through his items.
the ability to speak was taken from him, he felt as if he was at your mercy, and he was. he was on his knees before he could process it.
your hands glided through the items he had placed on the bench, after you finished looking through the group, you finally spared him a glance.
"your gifts are of high value," you spoke, your voice royal, with an unimaginable presence. "i'm not as powerful as i used to be, my temple and followers were lost to time, my memory faded from the minds of the new." you sauntered over to him now, becoming eye-level with him.
he'd never felt so unworthy.
"i have not much i can give you or do for you, so what would you like from me?"
his ability to speak finalky returned, his mind though, remained blank, so he answered with the only thing on his blank mind:
"your hand."
he immediately rescinded back, never feeling so unnerved and unknowing as he did in this moment. "i- it was an unreasonable request! you-- it's beneath y-"
"that's acceptable. i will go with you, barbarian."
he was shocked as you accepted, though he wouldn't dare question your judgement. "katsuki." he blurted out. "please call me katsuki."
"i will marry you, if it's what you desire katsuki."
his eyes shot open. "yes. i-- it's what i'd like."
"you may call me [name] then." he clutched his heart, he wasn't sure if he was dreaming, but if he was he'd never want it to end.
"alright.. [name]." you smiled at the hesitance in his voice, and waved his worries off with a smile.
"shall we head out then?"
"we can't, the weather is horrible."
"what weather? it's sunny as normal." surely enough, as he turned around the weather had returned to a calm, warm day. the harsh winds and rains no longer present, replaced by the mundane weather.
"i-- i suppose you're correct." he gathered his supplies, even getting your permission to take the things he had on your alter, as he learned it was, back with you two. he slung his satchel behind his back and turned to you.
you held out your hand, and after he placed a chaste kiss on it, he carried you in his arms. the journey back was a blur to him, the burning in his feet nonexistent as he focused on the feeling of his skin on yours, the feeling of his hands on your body.
you arrived sooner then expected. internally, katsuki was excited. not only did he manage to revitalize a goddess, but he'd marry her. he was ecstatic not only at the prospect of beating this into the elders' faces, but to be yours for his eternity.
as he burst back into the conference room, the elders were shocked to see him back so soon. the smug expressions they would've gotten were wiped off the second they noticed you in his arms.
even they, from their distance at their cabinets, could sense the raw presence you had.
"prince bakugo, what is the meaning of this?"
"i've brought to you undeserving folks my wife."
the table of elders all collectively choked at the revelation. "wife? but we've yet to go through the proper trails and period of compatibility. that woman isn't even a barbarian."
"you're right, she's above all of you. she's a deity, and i've earned her hand in marriage. i want my wedding planned for next week, make it fit for a god."
"a deity you say?" the elder's felt like their eyes were about to burst out their sockets. "but--"
they heard nothing as he walked away from the room, you still in his arms. as you eyed the new, strange innovations and buildings around you, katsuki clutched you closer to his chest.
he set you onto a bed, the feeling of silk under your hands one that was foreign, as you hadn't been awakened for over a century.
he knelt in front of you, taking off one of his necklaces, and wordlessly asking for permission to set it on you.
you didn't know this, but this was sacred to the barbarians, presenting one's necklace to another was like talking a piece of your soul and entrusting them with it.
he looked at the sight of you, his ruby necklace with the teeth of the beasts he slayed contrasting severely to the gold you adorned, and he smiled.
you felt your heart go into a knot at the sight of him, he held your hand as he suddenly made a vow to you.
"i vow to be your greatest worshipper. even if i am not the last, i will set a standard that will long exceed my lifespan.
for you are my wife now, and i'll cherish you as long as i may live."
you smiled softly, reaching out to him to hold his other hand. "you've already become my most interesting worshipper, that i'm certain of."
as the two of you basked in each others presence, other gods were smiling upon you two as well.

How can you consider yourself any sort of leftist when you defend AI art bullshit? You literally simp for AI techbros and have the gall to pretend you're against big corporations?? Get fucked
I don't "defend" AI art. I think a particular old post of mine that a lot of people tend to read in bad faith must be making the rounds again lmao.
Took me a good while to reply to this because you know what? I decided to make something positive out of this and use this as an opportunity to outline what I ACTUALLY believe about AI art. If anyone seeing this decides to read it in good or bad faith... Welp, your choice I guess.
I have several criticisms of the way the proliferation of AI art generators and LLMs is making a lot of things worse. Some of these are things I have voiced in the past, some of these are things I haven't until now:
Most image and text AI generators are fine-tuned to produce nothing but the most agreeable, generically pretty content slop, pretty much immediately squandering their potential to be used as genuinely interesting artistic tools with anything to offer in terms of a unique aesthetic experience (AI video still manages to look bizarre and interesting but it's getting there too)
In the entertainment industry and a lot of other fields, AI image generation is getting incorporated into production pipelines in ways that lead to the immiseration of working artists, being used to justify either lower wages or straight-up layoffs, and this is something that needs to be fought against. That's why I unconditionally supported the SAG-AFTRA strikes last year and will unconditionally support any collective action to address AI art as a concrete labor issue
In most fields where it's being integrated, AI art is vastly inferior to human artists in any use case where you need anything other than to make a superficially pretty picture really fast. If you need to do anything like ask for revisions or minor corrections, give very specific descriptions of how objects and people are interacting with each other, or just like. generate several pictures of the same thing and have them stay consistent with each other, you NEED human artists and it's preposterous to think they can be replaced by AI.
There is a lot of art on the internet that consists of the most generically pretty, cookie-cutter anime waifu-adjacent slop that has zero artistic or emotional value to either the people seeing it or the person churning it out, and while this certainly was A Thing before the advent of AI art generators, generative AI has made it extremely easy to become the kind of person who churns it out and floods online art spaces with it.
Similarly, LLMs make it extremely easy to generate massive volumes of texts, pages, articles, listicles and what have you that are generic vapid SEO-friendly pap at best and bizzarre nonsense misinformation at worst, drowning useful information in a sea of vapid noise and rendering internet searches increasingly useless.
The way LLMs are being incorporated into customer service and similar services not only, again, encourages further immiseration of customer service workers, but it's also completely useless for most customers.
A very annoyingly vocal part the population of AI art enthusiasts, fanatics and promoters do tend to talk about it in a way that directly or indirectly demeans the merit and skill of human artists and implies that they think of anyone who sees anything worthwile in the process of creation itself rather than the end product as stupid or deluded.
So you can probably tell by now that I don't hold AI art or writing in very high regard. However (and here's the part that'll get me called an AI techbro, or get people telling me that I'm just jealous of REAL artists because I lack the drive to create art of my own, or whatever else) I do have some criticisms of the way people have been responding to it, and have voiced such criticisms in the past.
I think a lot of the opposition to AI art has critstallized around unexamined gut reactions, whipping up a moral panic, and pressure to outwardly display an acceptable level of disdain for it. And in particular I think this climate has made a lot of people very prone to either uncritically entertain and adopt regressive ideas about Intellectual Propety, OR reveal previously held regressive ideas about Intellectual Property that are now suddenly more socially acceptable to express:
(I wanna preface this section by stating that I'm a staunch intellectual property abolitionist for the same reason I'm a private property abolitionist. If you think the existence of intellectual property is a good thing, a lot of my ideas about a lot of stuff are gonna be unpalatable to you. Not much I can do about it.)
A lot of people are suddenly throwing their support behind any proposal that promises stricter copyright regulations to combat AI art, when a lot of these also have the potential to severely udnermine fair use laws and fuck over a lot of independent artist for the benefit of big companies.
It was very worrying to see a lot of fanfic authors in particular clap for the George R R Martin OpenAI lawsuit because well... a lot of them don't realize that fanfic is a hobby that's in a position that's VERY legally precarious at best, that legally speaking using someone else's characters in your fanfic is as much of a violation of copyright law as straight up stealing entire passages, and that any regulation that can be used against the latter can be extended against the former.
Similarly, a lot of artists were cheering for the lawsuit against AI art models trained to mimic the style of specific artists. Which I agree is an extremely scummy thing to do (just like a human artist making a living from ripping off someone else's work is also extremely scummy), but I don't think every scummy act necessarily needs to be punishable by law, and some of them would in fact leave people worse off if they were. All this to say: If you are an artist, and ESPECIALLY a fan artist, trust me. You DON'T wanna live in a world where there's precedent for people's artstyles to be considered intellectual property in any legally enforceable way. I know you wanna hurt AI art people but this is one avenue that's not worth it.
Especially worrying to me as an indie musician has been to see people mention the strict copyright laws of the music industry as a positive thing that they wanna emulate. "this would never happen in the music industry because they value their artists copyright" idk maybe this is a the grass is greener type of situation but I'm telling you, you DON'T wanna live in a world where copyright law in the visual arts world works the way it does in the music industry. It's not worth it.
I've seen at least one person compare AI art model training to music sampling and say "there's a reason why they cracked down on sampling" as if the death of sampling due to stricter copyright laws was a good thing and not literally one of the worst things to happen in the history of music which nearly destroyed several primarily black music genres. Of course this is anecdotal because it's just One Guy I Saw Once, but you can see what I mean about how uncritical support for copyright law as a tool against AI can lead people to adopt increasingly regressive ideas about copyright.
Similarly, I've seen at least one person go "you know what? Collages should be considered art theft too, fuck you" over an argument where someone else compared AI art to collages. Again, same point as above.
Similarly, I take issue with the way a lot of people seem EXTREMELY personally invested in proving AI art is Not Real Art. I not only find this discussion unproductive, but also similarly dangerously prone to validating very reactionary ideas about The Nature Of Art that shouldn't really be entertained. Also it's a discussion rife with intellectual dishonesty and unevenly applied definition and standards.
When a lot of people present the argument of AI art not being art because the definition of art is this and that, they try to pretend that this is the definition of art the've always operated under and believed in, even when a lot of the time it's blatantly obvious that they're constructing their definition on the spot and deliberately trying to do so in such a way that it doesn't include AI art.
They never succeed at it, btw. I've seen several dozen different "AI art isn't art because art is [definition]". I've seen exactly zero of those where trying to seriously apply that definition in any context outside of trying to prove AI art isn't art doesn't end up in it accidentally excluding one or more non-AI artforms, usually reflecting the author's blindspots with regard to the different forms of artistic expression.
(However, this is moot because, again, these are rarely definitions that these people actually believe in or adhere to outside of trying to win "Is AI art real art?" discussions.)
Especially worrying when the definition they construct is built around stuff like Effort or Skill or Dedication or The Divine Human Spirit. You would not be happy about the kinds of art that have traditionally been excluded from Real Art using similar definitions.
Seriously when everyone was celebrating that the Catholic Church came out to say AI art isn't real art and sharing it as if it was validating and not Extremely Worrying that the arguments they'd been using against AI art sounded nearly identical to things TradCaths believe I was like. Well alright :T You can make all the "I never thought I'd die fighting side by side with a catholic" legolas and gimli memes you want, but it won't change the fact that the argument being made by the catholic church was a profoundly conservative one and nearly identical to arguments used to dismiss the artistic merit of certain forms of "degenerate" art and everyone was just uncritically sharing it, completely unconcerned with what kind of worldview they were lending validity to by sharing it.
Remember when the discourse about the Gay Sex cats pic was going on? One of the things I remember the most from that time was when someone went "Tell me a definition of art that excludes this picture without also excluding Fountain by Duchamp" and how just. Literally no one was able to do it. A LOT of people tried to argue some variation of "Well, Fountain is art and this image isn't because what turns fountain into art is Intent. Duchamp's choice to show a urinal at an art gallery as if it was art confers it an element of artistic intent that this image lacks" when like. Didn't by that same logic OP's choice to post the image on tumblr as if it was art also confer it artistic intent in the same way? Didn't that argument actually kinda end up accidentally validating the artistic status of every piece of AI art ever posted on social media? That moment it clicked for me that a lot of these definitions require applying certain concepts extremely selectively in order to make sense for the people using them.
A lot of people also try to argue it isn't Real Art based on the fact that most AI art is vapid but like. If being vapid definitionally excludes something from being art you're going to have to exclude a whooole lot of stuff along with it. AI art is vapid. A lot of art is too, I don't think this argument works either.
Like, look, I'm not really invested in trying to argue in favor of The Artistic Merits of AI art but I also find it extremely hard to ignore how trying to categorically define AI art as Not Real Art not only is unproductive but also requires either a) applying certain parts of your definition of art extremely selectively, b) constructing a definition of art so convoluted and full of weird caveats as to be functionally useless, or c) validating extremely reactionary conservative ideas about what Real Art is.
Some stray thoughts that don't fit any of the above sections.
I've occassionally seen people respond to AI art being used for shitposts like "A lot of people have affordable commissions, you could have paid someone like $30 to draw this for you instead of using the plagiarism algorithm and exploiting the work of real artists" and sorry but if you consider paying an artist a rate that amounts to like $5 for several hours of work a LESS exploitative alternative I think you've got something fucked up going on with your priorities.
Also it's kinda funny when people comment on the aforementioned shitposts with some variation of "see, the usage of AI art robs it of all humor because the thing that makes shitposts funny is when you consider the fact that someone would spend so much time and effort in something so stupid" because like. Yeah that is part of the humor SOMETIMES but also people share and laugh at low effort shitposts all the time. Again you're constructing a definition that you don't actually believe in anywhere outside of this type of conversations. Just say you don't like that it's AI art because you think it's morally wrong and stop being disingenuous.
So yeah, this is pretty much everything I believe about the topic.
I don't "defend" AI art, but my opposition to it is firmly rooted in my principles, and that means I refuse to uncritically accept any anti-AI art argument that goes against those same principles.
If you think not accepting and parroting every Anti-AI art argument I encounter because some of them are ideologically rooted in things I disagree with makes me indistinguishable from "AI techbros" you're working under a fucked up dichotomy.

ROMANCE IN
SYNASTRY &
COMPOSITE

Mercury
(𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐲. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫)
🩷 Mercury-Venus This configuration is very poetic and harmonious. Sweet words are said, and you'll know that they care about you. There's a love & attraction for the mind, and the way the other person speaks. This, is a must if you have a lot of air influence in your chart. These two will genuinely love talking to one another. The communication will often be harmonious. This is a very flirty aspect to have within synastry. Words of affirmations is important within this connection.
🩷 Moon-Mercury (conjunct, sextile, trine & quintile/bi-quintiles) ; This configuration shows a very affectionate way of speaking & communicating with one another. Moon will understand where mercury is coming from on an emotional level. Mercury is nurturing the most vulnerable sides of Moon. These two can find it easy to express how they feel. This is similar to Moon 3h overlay, where both are constantly talking to the other about anything. There's a deep and intimate bond between these two great for romance, honestly, because you can vocalize how you feel about each other.
Sun
(𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞, 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞.)
🩷 Sun 5h overlay: This overlay foretells that there is definitely physical attraction. Usally it will be the 5h person who sees the sun person a physically attractive. Since this is the house of romance and pleasure/joy, it's self explainable to see why this is on the list of romantic placements. Sun in the 5th can show more of short-term or just simply sexual type of love/romance. Nevertheless, though this shows that this overlay will be romantic and the other to be physically pleasing to the eyes. There can be many romantic gestures and comments given to the sun person. Both are able to feel this deep attraction to each other. This brings fun dates and even actually puts creativity into the gifts you give to each other. The theme of this relationship is joy and fun, not so much seriousness. This can also show talking about children, and it'd not uncommon to see couples that children quickly to have this or many 5-house overlays. You will experience romance and lovemaking within this synastry.
🩷 Sun 2h overlay: These two are constantly sharing and making the other feel comfortable. This one can make the 2h person feel like they need to commit towards the sun. 2h person can be very loyal towards sun, and trust is usally very important here. The 2h also rules touch, sensuality, money, but specifically money spent. This energy can go either way, but mostly, it could be the 2h person giving the sun person money. And also being very protective over them, also admiring their physical body. And doing sensual things to please the other. The 2h person may take mental notes of things that make the sun person happy, and use these things as gifts later on. The 2h person values the sun person, and 2h person should be careful not to view the sun person as an object. This van also turns into looking at the sun person as a trophy or an asset. Sun person in return definitely boosts the self-confidence/worth of the 2h person, and often won't hesitate to tell them nice things or share their valuable with them. The sun person can give all their assets to the 2h person because of all the trust that lies within this overlay.
🩷 Sun-Moon (conjunct, sextile, trine & quintile/bi-quintiles); Beautiful! LIKE THIS ONE.....🤌🏻, you will feel understood and safe 🥹. For women, and especially women who are moon ruled/dominant. It's very important for you to feel secure, comfortable, and safe within a relationship. That is ultimate romance and an indication of love. Specifically talking about conjunctions & bi-quintiles/quintiles this will likely feel the strongest. Even stronger when the man is sun, and the woman is the moon, simply because we know that the sun is masculine energy, and the moon is feminine energy. These aspects can feel like you get each other, and on an instinctual, and just basic level, you two get along. This is genuinely the clearest sign of a soul connection, in my opinion. Until you have experienced this, you haven't experienced a feeling of completely understood. This... will change your life. For conjunctions, we all know the closer the stronger, but in vedic, a conjuction is considered anything in the same sign. Personally, I say anything up to a 10° orb, especially when it comes to these two luminaries and personal planets.
🩷 Sun 7h overlay: The 7h is ruled by libra/venus. All of this venusian energy is highlighted. The focus, the theme, will be relationships, marriage, sharing ,coupling, and all of those things in the context of romance. The 7h person will feel like and view the sun person as the perfect partner. They can feel absolutely completed. Sun can also feel like they belong to each other. This can indicate strong attraction and feeling of opposites attract, but you beautifully balance and complement each other. You two just make each other look good. Think of this similar to sun conjunct Venus. Venus is looking at the sun like they are some god/goddess that came into their life and swept them off their feet. Honestly, any rules/expectations you had when it came to relarionships/partners they can either go out the window or they perfectly fit those standards. In the romance sense, this can become very romantic, especially once these two get to know each other. This is the house of lovers, so over time, this is one that can show a very romantic couple. This is also an indication of marriage.
🩷 Sun-Venus: This aspect brings warmness, and strong romance. This makes it easy for both partners to express love, and do romantic gestures for the other. These two really get along espcially if this is a conjunction, sextile, trine, and biquintile/quintile. Venus person is usually the one who admires the sun person, and finds them to be very physically attractive. Sun can increase venus's self worth, and image. They could love giving each other gifts, and having fun/indulging together.
🩷 Sun-Loving (432971) (conjunct, sextile, trine & quintile/bi-quintiles); Affectionate, and of course loving. The loving person can love the charecerisics of the sun person. They wouldnt want to do anything to bruise their ego.
🩷 Sun/ASC-Lovelock (51663)/ 1h overlay (conjunct, sextile, trine & quintile/bi-quintiles); This aspect shows an almost obsessive love with the sun or ascendant person.
🩷 Sun/ASC- Valentine (447)/ 1h overlay
🩷 Sun-Amor, Cupido
🩷 Asc-Valentine/ 1h overlay
🩷 Amor/Cupido-Asc
Moon/Venus
(𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐧𝐨-𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝! 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐞𝐭𝐜.)
🩷 Venus 1h overlay: This overlay indicates that Venus finds the 1st person very attractive. Venus, known as the planet of love, suggests that the Venus person loves the appearance of the 1st person and loves them as well. This could indicate love at first sight, with romance flowing easily. Venus may see the 1st person as marriage material, and love languages are easily understood. While this overlay is very loving, it can sometimes come across as superficial, making the 1st person feel like the Venus person only likes them for their looks. However, this overlay also indicates a deep mutual admiration. Venus will boost the self-esteem of the 1st person and will always make sure to express love and care for them.
🩷 Venus 5h overlay: This one is pretty self-explanatory. Venus, the planet of love, pleasure, beauty, finances, luxury, etc, falls into the house of dating, attraction, sex, love, and flirting. The attraction will be through the roof with this overlay. This overlay feels like summer love. There will be a lot of cuteness and passion. This brings so much joy & pleasure to both partners. Venus person sees the 1h person as very attractive & sexy. This is a very romantic overlay. In the Sexual sense, it's not hard to get turned on by each other. 🤭❤️🔥
🩷 Venus 3h overlay: Some people may not agree with this and may not find it romantic. However, depending on your personal Venus placements, this could be romantic to you. The reason I say this is romantic is that the 3rd house represents words, communication, expression, and much more. If your love language is words of affirmation and mental stimulation, this is perfect. The Venus person can love the way the 3rd house person talks, and both can feel like they can talk all day about anything. The 3rd house also rules transportation, so these two may enjoy driving and going on short trips together. They may even exchange love notes and poems. This is a very artistic and creative connection. They can come up with lots of ideas together. The mind and the voice are like honey to the Venus person. They can truly feel understood when they are together.
🩷 Venus 7h overlay/ conjunct dsc: This overlay is beautiful. Venus feels at home here. The 7h person can feel like they have found their partner whether they are actually right or not is up to fate. However, this is a good indicator for marriage. And a loving marriage/ long-term relationship. Venus people feel like it's easy to be romantic with the house person. They can actually view the house person as wife/hubsand material as well. This shows a love based relationship.
🩷 Venus 8h overlay: This interaction brings two individuals to explore the depths of their personalities. Fortunately, Venus adds a light touch to this interaction. Initially, there may be a transformative, intense, and forbidden attraction to each other. This dynamic works both ways, although the person with Venus in the 8th house may feel more intimidated. While Venus is intrigued, this bond develops into a close connection that is hard to let go of. It's a deep and intense romance, and both individuals feel like no one else can understand the depth of their connection. There is an evident sexual tension, and you may find yourself doing things you never thought you would. Both parties will feel like nobody understands them like the other person
🩷 Venus conjunct nodes: This one is automatic attraction, especially from the aid of the nodal person. If this is the north node, there is a natural feeling of being romantic & wanting to express your love for the other person. If this is the south node, the same applies but this could indicate that eventually one or both parties start to grow out of this, because the south is what we are leaving, while the north node is what we are going towards. There's a strong feeling of fate here, but it doesn't always indicate growing apart, but if it happens, there will. likely be no hard feelings, just maybe a lot of what-ifs, and that would have been a great relationship if we met at the right time, etc, etc.
🩷 Venus-Mars: Allllll venus-mars bring passion. It's just those harsh aspects like the conjunction, oppositions, and square that can make this attraction feel insatiable and constantly grow stronger & stronger over time.
🩷 Venus conjunct Uranus: This aspect is known as the love at first sight aspect, and honestly, I can see why, lol. Uranus is unexpected, rapid movement, and Venus is love. Venus unexpectedly falls for the Uranus person, and vice versa. Uranus person may tend to be more.... let's say flighty, but the attraction is there. These two are going to have a lot of fun together. There's an unorthodox connection that they feel liberated by.
🩷 Moon 1h/ conjunct asc: 1h person feels very understood by the moon person. The house person views the moon person as nurturing, and if the house person is a man, he views him as someone who would make a good wife. Due to the wife showing the wife in a man's chart. This develops into a very intuitive connection. On a biological level, you two just mix very well. The 1h person thinks about starting a family with the moon person & vice versa. Moon people view the 1h person as their baby and can be protective over them. They just get each other on an emotional level. This also shows a lot of physical affection and speaking softly to the other, lol.
🩷 Moon-Venus: This is very soft and romantic. Even if this does happen to be a harsh aspect due to these both being feminine planets, they can find similarities within each other that they grow to admire 🥺. This is important because the moon is our inner self, emotions, and subconscious, and Venus is our love language/romance. When these two come together, this shows a language where these two are speaking to each other with care & softness. With softer aspects (Conjunction, sextiles, trines, quintiles) it's so much easier for this energy to be expressed whereas with harder aspects (squares & oppositions) this energy is there they both just have different ways of expressing it, which ultimately something both parties need to learn. 😉
🩷 Juno-Venus: COMMITMENT & LOVE,
🩷 Venus-Valentine (447) (conjunct, sextile, trine & quintile/bi-quintiles) self-explanatory, I talked about this here
🩷 Vertex Conjunct any love asteroids : Meeting the other for love
🩷 Vesta-Venus (conjunct,sextile,trine & quintile/bi-quintiles) Through love, the sacred flame is ignited.
Juno
𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐨 𝐬𝐲𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡, 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬. 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞.
🩷 Juno 1h overlay: 1h person embodies what juno person wants in a long-term partner. This leads juno person to want to make the effort to be with the house person. Juno person can feel completely fulfilled by the house person. They feel that they have met the one!
🩷 Juno 7h overlay: This is probably more of an indicator of romance because the 7h shows relationships, and Juno does too, so this is a very strong indicator of that happening. It's easier for both to engage in romantic conversations & activities. Likely marriage came up very early. When these two meet, there is a feeling of being in each other's lives for the long haul.
🩷 Juno-Agapenor/Valentine (conjunct,sextile,trine & quintile/bi-quintiles)
🩷 Juno- Ceres (conjunct,sextile,trine & quintile/bi-quintiles) explained this here....
The Love Asteroids
🩷 Lovejoy/Lovelock 7h overlay
🩷 Agapenor (5023) 1h/7h Overlay
🩷 Amor (1221) 1h/5h/7h Overlay
🩷 Cupido (763) 1h/5h Overlay
🩷 North Node conjunct Valentine/Agapenor

Composite Charts
𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬, 𝐭𝐨𝐨
🩷 Venus Rules Ascendants (Taurus & Libra) ~ Libra & Taurus are ruled by the planet of love, so within this relationship, these two will want to be romantic and loving with another. As a matter of fact, it feels more natural to do so and likely won't feel forced. These two can also look good together.
🩷 Ascendant conjunct Venus
🩷 Ascendant ruler in 5h/7h/12h~ now hear me out about the 12h part lol. The 12h is ruled by the sign Pisces, which is exalted in the planet Venus ( of love & beauty). To me, Neptunian & Pisces energy shows a higher love, and this can be reflected in the 12h. When BOTH individuals are spiritually enlightened. The 12h is unconditional love.
🩷 Venus-Neptune~ With the right amount of Neptune in a relationship, it can feel heavenly. The couple can feel like they've found their soulmate. There is an emotional connection.
🩷 Venus conjunct Mars~ Passion and great Sex lol. They feel good together, and they just know each other.
🩷 "The Love Stellium"~ I've experienced this once before, but I can't say I was in love, LOL. me and this person also had a few prominent love asteroids in composite & synastry however It didn't last long enough to get there. But I can say that I cared a lot about them and did things I wouldn't usually do. If you're not familiar with the love stellium, it's basically when the Sun, Mercury, and Venus are all in conjunction with each other. This stellium is lovely. The relationship just feels so nice. It's good to have if there isn't a lot of Venus stuff going on. The sun conjunct mercury helps with communication and makes it easier to understand & listen to each other while the sun conjunct Venus makes the relationship enjoyable & pleasurable. Both parties feel pleased & beautiful together. Venus conjunct Mercury is amazing because not only do you have good communication, but it is also sweet & you get the words of affirmation that you want. This is such a good one to have. Consider yourself lucky if you have it! 😊
🩷 Union 1h/7h~ Looking & feeling like you were made for each other. You feel whole & united together.
🩷 Agapenor 7h~ The relationship between the two is filled with unconditional love. Even if they part ways they will always have love for each other. Honestly, they could be each other's first love
🩷 Valentine 1h/7h~ Self explanatory
🩷 all love asteroids in strong aspects to sun, moon, dsc/asc, venus
🩷 7h lord in 7h/1h~ the relationship is likely the main focus and is very important to them
🩷 Venus 10h/ conjunct mc~ Their reputation is pleasant & beautiful. They look good together. Their love is seen by the world, and it's something that has only grown stronger over time.

-This placement often indicates that you will have to work through significant personal fears and doubts about your own identity. Early in life, you might feel a strong sense of insecurity or even self-doubt when it comes to expressing yourself. You may find yourself hesitating to take the lead or assert your own opinions because you fear rejection or standing out. Interestingly, people with the North Node in the 1st House often have a strong pull toward blending in or seeking validation from others (perhaps from relationships or groups). So, the struggle here is that even if your soul’s path calls for independence, there can be an intense inner conflict where you feel torn between wanting to please others or simply follow the crowd, and the urge to step into your own light, which can feel scary. The key to this placement is not just “be yourself” in a surface-level way, but rather to understand your true self at a soul level, and be brave enough to fully embody that identity. For many, this process involves a long-term journey of shedding old layers of self-doubt, fears of standing out, and dependency on others approval. This isn’t always an easy or immediate process, but once you start stepping into your own individuality and authority, you’ll begin to feel like you’re finally on the right track. You might also face circumstances in life that push you toward self-assertion, sometimes in challenging ways, like being put in positions where you’re forced to take the lead, make decisions for yourself, or stand alone. While these situations can feel uncomfortable, they are exactly what you need to develop that inner strength and leadership ability. Ultimately, your life’s path isn’t just about becoming independent; it’s about developing a deep sense of personal authority and trust in your own inner wisdom. The transformation here is about owning your individuality and making decisions that reflect who you truly are, even if it means stepping away from relationships or situations that once defined you. Over time, as you embrace this journey, you’ll come to realize that being true to yourself and acting from that place is the most fulfilling way to live.

𝔙𝔢𝔫𝔲𝔰 𝔞𝔫𝔡 𝔴𝔥𝔞𝔱 𝔴𝔢 𝔳𝔞𝔩𝔲𝔢
Venus in our natal charts show us the things we see value in. This can be said for people, objects, fashion, aesthetics etc. Venus is a planet that dictates what we think is beautiful or visually appealing. Because of this it’s often viewed as a superficial planet that is visually stimulated. Whilst yes it does focus on the appearance of things, I think this sell the planet short.
The things we love or are attracted to aren’t just the things that catch our eye. The things we are drawn to aren’t only because they look good. Venus is also they value we see in things. After all something may be precious to you yet it means nothing to someone else. Its our personal value.
You can also see how from this Venus can represent our value we have for ourselves. Our self love. If Venus recognises value in others it also shows us the things we value within ourselves. It’s the things we notice about ourselves that we like. The parts of ourselves we cherish.
By looking at where your Venus is placed in your chart; by looking at sign, house and aspects, it can show you what you find beautiful about yourself or how you perceive your self value. It can also show if there are any struggles with self worth.
Some placements to lookout for that correlate to struggles with self worth are…
Venus conjunct/ square/ opposite Saturn
This indicates someone who has a lack of self love/worth, who may struggle to see their value. This often stems from childhood, and typically gets better with age. These people are incredibly hard on themselves, and have to learn the lesson of self love, which is constantly being tested.
Venus conjunct/ square/ opposite Pluto
These people can develop an obsession with beauty, holding themselves to an unrealistic standard. They want control over their image, if they think they look a certain way they don’t like they can be almost abusive or cruel to themselves.
Venus conjunct/ square/ opposite Neptune
It can be really hard to see or recognise your own beauty. No matter how many people tell you, you can’t see it for yourself.
Please be aware these are the worst culminations of these placements.
Thank you for reading my loves.
