Behind the Black Curtain
So I had this idea with the Idol AU by @zucchiyeni... If you were a producer for the Murder Time Trio... So uh... I'm writing it out (:
~oOo~
The shouts of the crowd rippled through the air. You could feel the vibrations of the screams, even though the curtain. You shuddered as they started to chant. You knew it would stop soon, as it was intermission. Loud noises did not settle well with your mind, but you had put up with it. It was your job, after all.
Horror was the first to walk through the black curtain. The lights behind him flashed rapidly, causing you to squint her eyes. The shouts were muffled once more as the curtain closed. Horror set his drumsticks on the circular table to the side before collapsing onto a cushioned chair. He turned over and asked one of the other workers for a glass of water. The worker obliged and got him a water bottle faster than you could blink.
Dust was next. You were surprised at how fast he put his guitar down. He heaved a great sigh, wiping his face as he came to the same couch you sat on and sank into the other side. He made eye contact with you and smiled softly, waving before he closed his eyes and rested back on the couch. Your heart fluttered randomly. Dust never said hi to you before; It was nice to feel noticed by him for once.
As always, Killer entered extravagantly, waving bye to the crowd for a few seconds before gracefully closing the curtain again. His big smile faded as exhaustion overcame him. Two workers approached him, gave him some water, and brought his chair to sit on. Killer thanked them quietly as he sat down, chugging the water like it was a shot of alcohol. A laugh escaped his mouth. "Wow, this crowd is wild tonight!"
"We need better security," Horror grabbed the clipboard from the coffee table and flipped through the sheets. "We've had two people come up to try and attack us, and three people try to come on stage to kiss us."
"I can't blame them," Killer smirked. "We are pretty famous and hot, after all!"
Dust rolled his eyes, staring at the ceiling. He glanced at another producer sitting nearby them. "Can you get me a wet cloth?" He asked him.
The producer nodded, setting his computer down and walking toward the kitchen.
"We should put that on the list... we need new microphones too," Killer thought momentarily. He went on to list the different things that they would need for their next performance as Dust reminded him of the budget.
You took notes on what they needed to buy carefully. The money manager quit, so you were now tasked with noting what the gang needed and when. It was stressful on top of your other job for the Murder Time Trio, but somehow, you managed.
"And maybe a better dinner than burritos," Horror commented. "I really have been craving some chicken."
"I think this is our last night of burritos anyway. It was free, so we eat it." Killer added.
The producer came back with Dust's wet cloth. He thanked him and put it across his forehead, sighing.
You finished recording the notes before you closed your laptop and began to leave. It was customary to leave once people had finished their jobs to give the Trio some space. You couldn't stay long anyway without your face turning red. You were one of the Murder Time Trio's biggest fans, and when you got the opportunity to work for them, you dropped everything to accept the job. You had seen them around, but this was your first time in a room with all three of them. I shouldn't ask for more, you thought. I already got to sit in a room with all three of them-
"Hey you," Killer called out as you approached the door. "I haven't seen you around, you new?"
You turned around, nodding your head slowly. "Yes, sir, I am the new accountant. I'll be overseeing your expenses and shipments."
"Strange," Horror crossed his foot over his knee, arms spread across the armrests. "Usually, we would be notified."
"They stopped notifying us of crew changes when we got overwhelmed with it last season. We hired Theodore to keep track of that instead of us," Dust informed.
Killer nodded slowly, his gaze not breaking away from you. "What's your name, hun?" He smiled that smile that everyone went crazy for.
You tried to keep a straight face as your heart pounded. "Y/N, sir."
"Unique," Dust commented. "I like your name."
"Thank you," You couldn't hide the slight blush that came across your face.
"I hope to see you around more," Killer cooed, tilting his head. "You seem nice."
"Let's get ready to go back out to the stage," Horror groaned, standing up. "Intermission is almost over.
Dust gave out a sad cry. "I don't want to go back out... I'm so tired."
Killer even hesitated to move. "Just two more hours, then we can rest for the weekend."
Dust rolled his eyes. "Rest has fled from us."
"Y-You guys will do great!" You encouraged as Horror walked out the curtain. "You're already doing great, and we're happy to serve you guys."
Dust smiled as he got up and pulled back the curtain. "Thanks, Y/N," he nodded before heading back on stage.
The crowd started chanting for Killer. Killer sighed and got up, walking toward you and holding out his hand. "I know you know who I am, but I look forward to working for you more."
You smiled once more and shook the star's hand. He nodded and bowed to you before walking out to the stage. You held her hand close to your chest, unable to shake the grin on your face.
He actually shook my hand...
