The Punishment of the Great Prostitute
Then one of the seven angels with the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits on many waters. The kings of the earth were immoral with her, and those who dwell on the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her immorality.” — Revelation 17:1-2 | Berean Reader's Bible (BRB) The Reader’s Bible © 2020 by Bible Hub and Berean Bible. This might be the worst possible way to properly break the news but you know what? Fuck it:
Tumblr media
Hi, I'm Galahad.
I'm just going to be incredibly blunt. Our host is gone, our life is an absolute mess and has been for more than three months straight, and I am somehow the only thing standing between this system and complete destruction right now. It's been 7 days since I got frontlocked and Zenith (host) disappeared off the face of the earth, but I've managed to make our life considerably less miserable within that timeframe. So maybe we have hope after all.
As for why I'm saying this and posting it on a tumblr blog? Well, it felt like a very necessary update - and on top of that, it felt like it'd be incredibly dishonest to pretend to be Zenith when he's probably not going to be around for a long time. It's a risk I'm willing to take, too, in order to find likeminded folks.
Soooo. If anyone sees this and for some reason wants to befriend us despite the rather horrific nature of this post, please send an ask to @starcrossed-hellraiser (our blog that actually allows asks) or simply like this post. It'd be nice to see someone who wants to be friends with us in any case, because we honestly need the company. Especially if any of you are into Fate Series or Arthurian Legend.... 👀
EDIT: By the way, on top of potentially following whoever does this on tumblr, we'll maybe send DMs to those who do like/ask containing our new Discord acc information as well. Feel free to decline that.

I feel like there's a misconception about Ash Williams (perpetuated by the AoD comics, imo).
Ash is not a creep, sleaze, or even an alcoholic (until AvED). He's a sweet, romantic, normal guy who underwent ungodly amounts of physical/mental/spiritual trauma with 0 support system.
He's someone who grew up in a rural, dead end town with an unsupportive asshole father. taken advantage of by his former phys ed teacher, exiled from his home, mocked and accused of murders he didn't commit.
His only choice was to self medicate with sex, drugs and alcohol.
He never forces himself on women.
Yes, he's a little racist. But it's the type of racism that's a trained behavior from a parental figure/rural midwestern town. If you notice, Ash knows the mindsets are wrong and is (very) slowly unlearning them. But without a support system or someone to teach him the correct way of thinking, that's very difficult/next to impossible.

on the artist & the world:
(excerpts from an interview for a peer’s essay)
To truly & fully speak on my experience and values as an artist, I feel like I have to give some preface to who I am as one.
*i am both a musical & visual artist, so although this is predominantly in the context of visual art; my philosophy and terms of origin still remains for the former*
I am a self taught abstract artist. I have no former training, no classes, no college. I have no knowledge of color theory or the inter workings of mediums or materials. I feel as blank as the canvas most times.
But I say all this to say that I feel like due to my lack of knowledge and understanding of art, I tend to view it all more spiritually. In a broader sense, I see creativity as being something completely beyond us.
I am merely but a vessel for the ever flowing presence of creativity.
But I mean in todays world, does ANY of that shit matter if it doesn’t have capital gain?
Apparently not.
Every artist is faced with having to equate a value to their work. Work that shouldn’t be measured in any sense. Art that should just exist. As should the artist.
So to combat a world of social media, brand building, content creation; NOT to mention imposter syndrome, financial stability, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, systemic oppression and on and on…
I propose the true artist should practice in something I call: creative abandon. (yes, i believe there is a distinction between artists and their intentions and ethics but that’s a conversation for another time)
sounds super dramatic, but it’s simple I promise.
The world is over saturated at the fact that it’s at our fingertips. I believe that’s just the universes call to embrace humanity. Reach within and not out.
What do we love besides what the world and the internet tells us to? Go find the shit that resonates with YOU the most. Do what YOU want to do and simply don’t give a fuck about what everybody says or does.
Abandon the world. Fall into self. Know your Soul. Embrace Creativity. Be You.
Be willing to learn and adapt because you are just a human trying to live and create, and you didn’t ask to be in this ever changing ass world. But all we can do is be water and find our peace in the wind.
And yes, as much as I hate it too, I guess I have to post my art on social media, even if it only gets like 10 likes lol.
I don’t know if it’s my hubris or my confidence but any piece of work I do, I feel like it can change the world or at least garner some sort of love and praise. Confidence is healthy right?
And if I feel like that, I’m sure that there’s artists that share that feeling and experience. I post something I put my heart into on the internet and the reciprocation is short to nothing.
So I started managing my expectations and perspective. Social media brought forth comparison in an ungodly amount. I stopped reaching out and reaching in.
I’m aware that my world is just as valid as the world going on around me. My ecosystem, my little corner of the internet and the world is enough. If the world beyond me one day gets to love and see my work, that would be lovely. But for my own mental health sake, I had to learn how to remind myself that MY WORLD, no matter how small or large, is enough.
I don’t think you get through all this without an extreme unconditional unending love for your art.
To Summarize:
- The key to life is your will to learn.
- Be like water and the wind.
- Manage your expectations, but fuck that. I personally practice NO EXPECTATIONS but to each his own.
- Your world and art are just as valid & significant as the the same artist who has a million followers.
- Really love this shit. Please show that you care. Love the art.
and please, remember you’re human.

Man held in ex-PM Abe shooting claims family fell apart due to religious group
Tumblr media
▲ Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe making a speech just before he was shot from behind in Nara, a city in western Japan, on Friday. The assassin can be seen wearing a gray shirt and carrying a black bag.
[The group is now known to be the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification / Unification Church of Hak Ja Han.]
July 9, 2022 (Mainichi Japan)
NARA – The suspect in the July 8 assassination of ex-Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has told investigators that his family disintegrated because of his mother's obsession with a religious group he accuses Abe of promoting.
Tetsuya Yamagami, a 41-year-old former Maritime Self-Defense Force sailor, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder for allegedly shooting Abe during a stump speech in the city of Nara ahead of the July 10 House of Councillors election. Abe, aged 67, was later confirmed dead.
According to sources close to the investigation, Yamagami has admitted to the allegations against him, stating that he "intended to kill Abe." The suspect cited the name of a religious group and reportedly explained that his family fell apart due to financial issues between the group and his mother. Sources said that Yamagami claims he believes Abe promoted the religious group across Japan, and that he "targeted Abe out of resentment." He has also stated that he does not oppose Abe's political views.
Nara Prefectural Police have deemed that the suspect strongly intended to kill Abe based on the belief that he is affiliated with the religious group, and is investigating the suspect's specific motives. Police are also carefully looking into any issues between the suspect's family and the religious group.
Abe's July 8 appearance on behalf of a ruling Liberal Democratic Party election candidate had only been scheduled the day before. Yamagami was quoted as saying, "I learned of Abe's campaign speech on the (candidate's) website. I went to the site by train." Police are also investigating the suspect's movements on the day of the incident.

According to Yahoo News Japan, the mother of Yamagami was declared bankrupt by a court on August 21, 2002 after she gave large donations to the Unification Church. "My mother was an avid believer in the Unification Church and still seems to be active.” His mother’s relationship with the Unification Church led to the collapse of the family, so it is possible for this reason he had some resentment against the Unification Church and Mr. Abe.

What does the Bible say about false religions and horoscopes? [convertplayer id="qpg0sNbpe" width="700" height="525"] Genesis 11:2-4 "And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, "Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly.' And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. And they said, `Go to, let us build a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth." Again, I have to feel that this was all done at the instigation of Semiramis and under satanic influence. Logically, these people knew that they didn't have Jack's beanstalk. They knew they couldn't build a literal tower into the very throne room of Heaven, but what they were instituting here was a false, anti-god, ungodly system of worship whereby Satan inspired them to think they could usurp the very heavens of God Himself. This is nothing new to Satan. He has thought it before and still thinks today that he is going to defeat God in His purposes. They built this tower, not as something high through which they can walk to enter Heaven, but rather as a system of approach to Heaven, and hence it was the introduction to false worship. As we go through the Scriptures, we will continually refer to the fact that every false religion on this planet today no matter what it is or where, has its roots at the Tower of Babel. This is the beginning of false pagan worship. Archaeologists have found that at the top of the Tower of Babel were all twelve signs of the zodiac. I maintain that today the horoscopes and the signs of the zodiac are of the underworld, the occult and should be left alone. Again, this is another way that Satan has adulterated something that was originally in God's program. I believe that before the flood, Adam and the early believers understood the Word of God, not from the written page, but from the stars. They had an intrinsic knowledge of the constellations and all these things - but as the Word of God written in the stars. However, as the human race degenerated, Satan took that which was spiritually perfect, adulterated it, and turned it to his own purposes, so that when we get to the Tower of Babel, this knowledge of the stars is turned into something that we call now, the occult. The horoscope and everything associated with it is not of God, but is of the counterfeiter, the Adversary. Remember, every false religion that ever has been, that is now, or that will come in the future, has its roots in the Tower of Babel. Consequently, we haven't left Babel behind. Go to Revelation 17, where John deals with the false worldwide religion that is going to come on the scene during the final seven years of tribulation. This is written in symbolic imagery, but it certainly portrays a literal truth. John sees this woman, symbolic of the world-wide religious system, arrayed in purple and scarlet colors and decked with gold, precious stones and pearls which speak of tremendous wealth. If you look at the religions in the world today, the cults and false teachers draw in tremendous wealth daily, and ultimately they're going to come together to amalgamate all this wealth. This is what John sees symbolically. Revelation 17:4,5 "And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:" I maintain that this was not a physical fornication, but a spiritual one, an adulterating of spiritual things which God hates. Verse 5: "And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." Clear back here in Revelation we find it - we haven't left Babylon behind, not by any means. Here it is, a great religious system coming on the scene, and all this is already here. We're seeing it grow by leaps and bounds in the New Age Move
ment. I warn people constantly that it's creeping into the churches and it sounds so good, but it's Babylon - it's Babel.

Collapse?
The systems are DESIGNED to fail. The collapse is baked in. The systems are drenched in short-sighted selfishness, and reinforced with lots of lies and spun narratives in order to enrich fat cat traitors and screw the Americans. The fake leaders just go from one lie to the next.
Excuses and blame-shifting is in their evil blood. It is literally their nature. This is baked in, I repeat. You won't change the SICK CORE from ungodly to godly.
You instead STAND APART, stand firm in convictions. You show the world the KINGDOM OF GOD - where there is justice, loving and servant leadership, truth, kindness, honor, integrity .... and a fierce intolerance for that which degrades and destroys.
Pray for divine encounters with those whose souls that Father God WANTS for His Family/Kingdom. For ears willing to hear, spiritual eyes willing to see. hearts willing to change and repent. All the truth is wasted on those who love their rebellion.

we can’t save this planet from the coming destruction
when everything will be burned by a consuming fire
when A new earth will be made.
but before this there will be a thousand-year Sabbath day “rest” on this very planet (first earth) ruled by our eternal King (Yeshua the Messiah) who is set to return from Heaven.
this world is greatly polluted by many things, and we can do what we can to make it a better place to be while here, although life is far from perfect. people naturally look out for themselves and their families to provide and keep them safe, and most people want to live in a safe community. but we’ve seen so many tragic things, so much insanity in a cursed world of sin and death.
and yet, not even the greatest tech or a stable economy or going emission-free will protect the world from the coming global Judgment against the ungodly. we live in a God-denying world that begins at a young age now prevalent in the public education system. so many turning away from the Genesis. so many lies exist. and people embracing human pride rather than humility of heart, mind & body.
we’re each given the task of seeking and finding our sacred treasure. we need to have the heart purified, just as gold is refined. only the Spirit (Light) can do this through True inner illumination in the revelation of the resurrected Son. we need to renew the mind to see (through baptism eyes)
will you be One who trusts in the eternal Word?
yes, we’re each uniquely made. yet as children of Light (as daughters & sons of our beautiful heavenly Father) we’re all to be connected to the same eternal Vine, forming the very Body of Messiah and King (Israel and Gentile ingrafted) and we’re meant to uphold spiritual truth in a world where people are going in so many different directions at once.
and so we find our purpose in life through various giftings and talents and abilities that are developed, yet we are not meant to stray from Love’s truth revealed to us about our True identity as children of God just as illuminated by the writing of the Hebrew Scriptures adjoined by the New Testament (Covenant) writing that also began with Jewish roots.
and so, we need to dream with a reborn imagination and a new heart (spirit)

What Is The Devil's Authority?
The devil obviously had access to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. Scripture does not tell us why God allowed this. One theory that makes sense involves mankind being allowed to judge the devil, possibly after the devil complained that God was not just or fair in condemning him. First Corinthians 6:3 does say that Christians will judge angels — and the devil is a fallen angel. If this theory is correct, God would have to allow the devil access to influence mankind, or be seen as unfair by all.
The devil gained a certain amount of control over mankind by Adam's disobedience, which plunged Adam and all his descendants into spiritual death.
At the time of the temptation of Christ, recorded in Luke 4, the devil obviously had a great amount of authority in the world system.
LUKE 4:4-7 NKJ 4 But Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.' " 5 Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said to Him, "All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7 "Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours."
Through His death and resurrection, Jesus defeated the devil and stripped him of his authority (Colossians 2:15, Hebrews 2:14-15).
Because Jesus announced that He had all authority after His resurrection (Matthew 28:18), the devil evidently retained no authority.
However, in the Epistles, the devil is still called the god of this world, or age (2 Corinthians 4:4). This does not mean that the devil is the god of the earth, but of the ungodly world system. He has this control through the yielding of ungodly people to speak his words and do his deeds.
The devil gains a measure of authority through any human being who will yield to his ideas and speak them, or act on them. Even Christians can, like Peter in Matthew 16:23, fall into this trap.
A perverted use of this authority is exercised when people "curse" or "damn" things or people. We should use our authority to bless — not curse.
All authority the devil may be using now is illegitimate. Only through deception and ignorance is he able to carry out his evil plans in the earth.
If the Church of Jesus Christ fails to exercise its God-given authority against the devil, he will operate virtually unhindered. This is because unsaved people are already under his dominion, and find it hard to resist him (John 8:44, 1 John 5:19).
As members of the body of Christ, we have been delegated the use of His authority on earth to see that God's will is carried out (Matthew 16:19, Luke 10:19, Philippians 2:10). We must exercise that authority.
SAY THIS: My Lord Jesus defeated the devil, stripped him of his authority, and gave authority to me over all the power of the enemy as a member of the Body of Christ on earth.

TOPIC : " TRUTH AND FREEDOM"
DATE : 25th  June,  2021.
Let's pray, Father in heaven, You are the most High. You are Alpha and Omega this day let your word transfer us and change our lives in the name of Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God.
John 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
These are the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, He was having a debate with some of the religious leaders and He told them ye SHALL know the TRUTH, that word SHALL translated MUST, because you must know the TRUTH if you want to be FREE. Today I want to talk about TRUTH AND FREEDOM.
Jesus said you must know the TRUTH and the TRUTH shall make you free. In this passage Jesus discusses two personalities, He discusses God on the one hand which is the TRUTH and Satan on the other hand who is a liar and the author of lies, Jesus turned to them and
said John 8:44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Jesus said there's a lie and the Truth, the bible tells us in 2 Thessalonians 2:12
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
There will be system of lies, and they will reject the truth, many people think we are living in that generation, the apostle Paul said in the 1st chapter of Romans that the people have changed the Truth of God into a lie  (Romans 1:26).
Not only do they turned the Truth into a lie, Paul says in Romans 1:18
 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
In other words, you can know the Truth and not live it, the Bible says the wrath of God is against such people. That's why Jesus was so bitter against the religious people, you know the Truth Intellectually but you don't live it.
Jesus says you serve me with your lips but your heart is corrupt. Paul says judgment according to truth
Romans 2:2  But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
In other words, some day God is going to judge the world. Yes , there's a day of judgement coming and God is going to judge us according to the Truth. Did we live by the truth?  Did we live believe the truth?  Did we accept the truth? What was our attitude towards the truth? Did we change the truth into a lie or we held on to the Truth.
God will hold us accountable to that.
Jesus said you must know the Truth and the Truth will make you free. In every discipline, Physiology, Philosophy, Science, we are searching for the truth. We are trying to find out what the laws are, trying to find out what the truth is?
Earlier, in our childhood we learned the truth that fire is hot and ice is cold, we learned that doing bad makes us feel guilty and doing good makes us feel good inside. What is the truth about myself? Where did I come from? Why on earth did God put us on this planet if ever there's a God? And where are we going? Is there life after death ? I'm searching for answers, all of us are consciously and unconsciously, we ask ourselves what is the truth. The same question Pilate asked 2000 years ago, that's why a lot of kids or youth in our generation are taking drugs and mind expansion , they're trying to find some experiences that will lead them to some sort of spiritual truth.
Now , Truth is important in mathematics, chemistry, physics and it's important in our spiritual life, morality, find the truth. Jesus said you will know the Truth and the truth shall make you free. In aviation if you make a mistake one plane could crash into another. You must know the truth , like Job said I know my Redeemer lives, the apostle Paul says I know in who I have believe in, the apostle John said you can know that you're saved ,the bible teaches you can know the truth , you can find the truth , but what is the truth?
Every religion or philosophy may know some of the truth, but there is one place you can know all Truth. Jesus said everyone that is of the truth hearers my voice, Buddha said, I'm still searching for the Truth. Jesus made this outstanding claim, Jesus said I AM THE TRUTH. I AM THE EMBODIMENT OF ALL TRUTH AND IF YOU WANT TO GO TO HEAVEN YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE THAT AND YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT BY FAITH.
If you hear anybody say that he is the embodiment of all truth he must be mentally derailed, or Jesus told a lie, yes, that's one of the options but supposed He is the truth, supposed He is the embodiment of all truth and you reject it in exchange for a lie then you have made a fatal error for eternity. Now I personally believe Jesus is the Truth, I believe He's the embodiment of all Truth and I have accepted that by Faith and when I took that step it changed my life and it's very simple, and He made it simple that a blind man or a deaf man or black or white man can come and know the Truth. The educated man can know the truth the uneducated man can also know the truth, I know people who are not educated but they know this Truth.
Jesus Christ, the story of Him is the truth, Jesus said if you don't believe
John 8:24  I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
Jesus told the truth about sin, the greed, the pride ,the lust, the lies, the hate, why do people hate each other? Why do they kill each other, every generation has it war , why all of these throughout history?
The Bible tells us man has a disease of the heart called sin,
Ecclesiastes 9:3 ...yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.
Mark 7:21-23  For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
Our problem is not a racial problem, our problem is not a poverty problem, our problem is not a war problem, OUR PROBLEM IS A HEART PROBLEM. We need to get a heart change, the heart transform ,that's why Jesus said you must be born again , you must have a new nature that must be dominated by LOVE. We go out and say we love each other, but we don't have the capacity to love each other, where are we going to get it from? We get it from Jesus, you see the bible says the Spirit of God comes into our heart the moment we receive Christ and He begins to produce love in your heart and peace and joy and patience.
All of these fruits of the Spirit are produced supernaturally by the Holy Spirit when you receive Christ. He tells us the truth about what is wrong with the world. And then He told us about our social responsibility to our fellow men.
Matthew 25:35-39  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
Every time when you give your time and energy and your money to help those in need you're helping Jesus.
And then He told the truth about judgment, He warned us to flee the wrath of God,
Matthew 12:36  But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
There's a judgement coming, He told the truth about REPENTANCE, He said unless you repent or you shall perish, and you say how do I repent?  You say Oh God I have sinned and I want to repent and change the way of my living and to live the new dimension of life , I am willing to change and follow You and serve You no matter the cost ,that's REPENTANCE.
Then, Jesus said if you don't repent you're going to perish, and that's the truth about that, He told the truth about convection, He said unless you be converted and become like a children you cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven, Jesus said you need to be converted, now the word convertion is simply means to change, turnaround, you're going on one direction to the broad road to destruction turnaround to the narrow road that leads to eternal life.
Jesus said I am the way the truth and the light, there is a way that seems good for men, we think we know how to run our lives, we can handle it, there's nothing that we think we can't handle but Jesus said you are heading for the rocks. Repent, be converted. Now is the time,  the accepted time of the day of Salvation. You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free ,set you free from what? The penalty for sin, yes we are all sinners, we are all under the penalty for sin, which is death, the wages of sin is death which the bible says.
Death carries the idea of the separation from God, in this life and the life to come, the rich came to Jesus and said what shall I do to inherit eternal life, he wanted eternal life here and the next life, he knew his soul wasn't feeling right, but he wasn't willing to pay the price ,there's a price if you come to Christ. The rich man tried to bargain with Jesus , he wanted Jesus to lower the flag , he wanted Jesus to change the rules for him so he get into the kingdom but Jesus will never lower the flag or lower the rules. You have to come to Christ just like people did 2000 years ago if you want to get into heaven.
Receive Christ in your life, let Him come and put the pieces together in your life, forgive your sins , give you purpose and meaning in your life and take the penalty of sin away from your life
Romans 8:1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
He removes the penalty and set you free from the power of sin.
John 8:34  Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
When you receive Christ the power of sin is broken, sin shall no more dominate in your life , you may commit sin but it doesn't dominate in you , you don't make it a practice in your life, you have power over sin when the Spirit of God is dominating in your life
Then, it sets us free from the presence of sin, you read the book of Revelation 21st and 22nd and you will see the glorious description of heaven. Then it says on the outside of the new world called heaven. God is building now for those who trust Him. Jesus said I AM THE TRUTH, KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE.

Meister of the Stars
Tumblr media
Genshin Impact College!AU but it’s in canon universe with canon elements
Otherwise: Hogwarts in Teyvat, Sumeru Academia
Welcome to Exiled’s first public domain post! What does that mean? Well that just means that this work is entirely repriseable and can be used by other authors for their own plots, fics, stories, or even AU characters. So long as you credit me appropriately by either tagging this post or just tagging my url hehe.
Why is this Public Domain? It’s too big and extensive of a plot for me to write alone and I’m sure other authors can do this plot justice than I do. Besides, with my schedule and writing manner, I won’t be delving into this plot anytime soon. Or at all.
Tumblr media
Story Prologue Summary:
Sumeru Academia, the oasis of knowledge in the vast continent of Teyvat, is a constitution inhabiting scholars around the world. Within its walls harbors great minds and masters of elemental prowess and higher intelligence. Only select people can enter or even pass the trials of the scholars, some are gifted by invitation by the Headmaster and leader of the nation, the Dendro Archon.
When you had been gifted your Dendro Vision one day when you encountered and rejuvenated one of the many ley lines connecting the world together, it was guaranteed the next day that you were to receive a letter by a majestic hawk: within its claws it clutched a cured scroll, locked by a tie and the logo of Dendro, and the insignia of the famed Academia.
The Archon, shut and reserved as he may be, he knows and keeps close the gifted ones who received a sprinkle of his power.
Tumblr media
Sumeru Academia does not value itself with how long you had been under scholarly guidance, students are not recognized by how many years they have been in the constitution, no. Instead the students are split into three different systems of prestige: elemental, mastery, and admission.
Elemental System separates students into different, well, elements corresponding to their Visions: Dendro, Pyro, Cryo, Hydro, Electro, Geo and Anemo. There are no titles do scholars who enter the Academia, but scholarly jargons had opted for either ‘awakening’ or ‘waiting shell’, because more often than not, many scholars had been blessed while inside the walls of the Academia, as well as the obvious fact that being blessed by a Vision comes at a natural time and age in your life.
Mastery System comes in four main hierarchies and two sub-categories, all of which are determined by the Trials of the Scholars upon being allowed admission into the Academia. The four main hierarchies are classified by prestige stars or which the amount you are allowed pinned on your Academian sash:
Six stars are those who come near the grace of Celestia’s understanding of the universe, very rarely are scholars placed into this category, and many scholars even dispute the existence of such a class. However, they do exist as they are honored by the God of Wisdom himself deeming them to carry the blessings of the wisdoms from the stars. A Six star only comes one in a generation, some say. Many speculations linked to this class are supernatural and absurd rumors.
Five stars are those who master the flow of their visions powered by their undeniable talents in their major scholarly interest, renowned as true geniuses of their professions, a lot of them turn into prodigies after leaving the Academia and even serving under ruling kingdoms with high roles.
Four stars are the base level a Vision-holder can reach and is the starting system for said Vision-holders; even tho this is the default level of Vision holders, wielders of Visions in Academia are not to be trifled with, as they are expected to exceed their mastery over Vision-holders residing outside the Academia.
Three stars are non-Vision scholars that have an adeptness in both academics and weapon mastery, they are proficient in combat prowess enough to par those who have basic grasp of their Visions outside of the Academia. Most three star scholars are also known to have a higher chance of receiving their Visions.
There has been no record of Two Stars or One Star scholars in the records of the Academia.
Sub-category of the Mastery System are reliant on physical properties of a scholar: Adepts are those with mixed blood with mystical beings of the continent, or simply put, scholars that are not just of mortal origins. Mortals are simply normal mortals. These sub-category, meaningless as it may seem, are actually used to observe patterns for research purposes regarding power and skill differences.
Admission System is the plainest and easiest judge for all scholars and is not that much given attention to unlike the other systems, except for the last one. Entrance Admission simply means you have taken the appropriate customary tests of the mind, body and element (if you are a Vision-wielder) and passed the marks to enter the Academia. Letter of Recommendation means that you were either transferred from another academy besides Sumeru or some prestigious bloodline convinced the headmasters of Sumeru to allow such easy admission. Meisters are those who wield Dendro Visions with full potential, invited by the Dendro Archon himself to join the ranks of the Academia.
Tumblr media
During the Rite of Prominence in the main hall of the Academia, the Dendro Archon descends from his temple to hold this important annual event for new scholars, together with the Headmasters. Rite of Prominence is where new scholars are given their first prestige systems, and those who are convinced to have ascended gets their new titles.
Your knees almost buckled when your name echoed through the wide building, calling you upon the presence of the Headmasters to finally receive your classification. Your first friend and fellow newcomer Chongyun pats you in the back, urging you to approach the aisle that leads to the stage up front. His smile was enough to push your legs to a subtle tremble as you made your way through the carpeted path, standing before the Headmasters.
There was a beat of silence and unmoving, and then the Headmaster starts to raise his hand- before the Dendro Archon himself suddenly stands up from his large throne of a seat at the very back. The movement caused a series of gasps to erupt from the scholars and staff behind you, and you must have hallucinated one from the cloaked Headmasters, as the God of Wisdom made his way to stand in front of you.
His presence was both ethereal and overwhelming as his imposing figure looms over you. You politely raised your head to rest your view by the bridge of his nose, not wanting to offend by making direct contact. “Child,” he extends his large hand and you looked at it, “Your hand.” Your eyes fleet back to his with wary but his gaze softened in assurance. With a sharp inhale, you finally placed your hand into his-
And a burst of gold streams flew out from your connected hands, with enough force to send a pulse of a wave through the building. Hanging cloths were whisked by the elemental burst, flames of candles extinguished, as suddenly all the Visions in the building began glowing. You blinked the surge of nausea away, and it was only the Dendro Archon that noticed the golden glow that pulsed from your iris, and looked around in confusion.
“(Y/N) (L/N),” you felt the hand under your palm move away as six glowing rocks manifested and twirled around you. Scholars knowledgeable enough gasped once again at the sight. And you warily watched the glowing rocks forge themselves into star-shaped badges, slowing down as they descend in front of you and on to your palm. “Welcome to this new age, Six Stars Meister of the Stars.” And the hall blows into a series of thunderous claps.

(This area is a WIP)
In the back of the Ancient libraries of Sumeru Academia resides the domain of the record holder, and there upon are bookshelves of numerous records about every scholar that has been admitted into the Academia. Each book corresponds to a student and its first pages carry their basic information, however the pages after that are hexed with powerful lexical charms to make it unreadable to anyone that dare looks at the other pages:
Albedo: Geo Vision. A Five Star, Adept scholar who has been in the Academia for two years through a letter of recommendation. Albedo is a master of the sword too, but his expertise lies in his expert handling of the concept of Alchemy. Hailing from an unknown continent, Albedo aims to spread his knowledge and master it enough to become a Six Star, a prestige title his master once held before mysteriously disappearing. Upon your appearance, the master alchemist had been not so subtly observing and following you around whenever you were in the vicinity. You're not sure if you saw this right, but when you once had seen his passing look, you swore you saw a slight squint when he looks down at your sash.
Amber: Pyro Vision. A Four Star, Mortal hailing from Mondstadt. Her grandfather was an alumni of the Academia who mastered the arts of gliding, and was thus allowed the opportunity to accept his letter of recommendation for Amber when she reached the age of 15. She continued her grandfather's work in the Academia and carried the Outrider title, focusing on aerodynamics and her bow mastery. Seeing as she was around your age range but having been admitted years prior, Amber took it upon herself to tour you around the campus and also introduce you to her friends from Mond. During the weekends, you find yourself gliding over the university's towering buildings with her.
Baizhu
Beidou
Bennett
Chongyun: Cryo Vision. A Four Star, Mortal from Liyue with ties to the spiritual realm. His expertise in exorcism had earned him the title of Master of Spirits despite being a newcomer, and many of services are seeked out even in the new continent. With his mischievous Liyuean friends, he's seen roaming around the halls of the Academia during ungodly hours. Chongyun was your first friend in the Academia after you both rendezvous at the entrance as newcomers and finding solace with the company of each other. When you earned your Six Stars title, Chongyun had become protective of you yet still treated you as a normal friend, not wanting you to think he was only there for prestige. During random nights, you'd find yourself in the darkest and secluded areas of the Academia as he pulls you around with Xingqiu, hoping to find roaming spirits of scholars from years ago.
Collei
Cyno: Pyro Vision. A Five Star, Mortal that had been in the Sumeru Academia for years. He is one of the senior scholars and running for Headmaster after his graduation. In the Pyro Visions, he is one of the renowned masters of the element, and can usually be found tending the books of the ancient libraries of the Academia. As of Sumerian descent and strong ties with the Academia, under the buddy system Cyno became your senior buddy on your first year to make sure you do not incur a failing grade nor misunderstood the practices and customs of the Academia. Because of this, you meet with him daily for check-ups and tutoring.

Sucrose: Anemo Vision. A Four Star, Adept of an unknown cat species from Mondstadt. Master of Bio-Alchemy as renowned of her multiple contributions to the field, Sucrose made her way to Sumeru Academia at the news that it harbors the one and only Master of Alchemy in it. She passed the entrance exam with expected ease and has then exhausted the laboratories and resources of the Academia for her researches. You've ran into her once when you were lost in the halls of the large Academia, stumbling on her unsupervised experiments in one of the laboratories. Her cat ears caught your attention and had since then become engrossed in researching about it, with her next to you, you were both brought together into a friendship focused on nature and a thirst for discovery.
Tartaglia: Hydro Vision. A Five Star, Mortal that carried with him a different aura opposite of the stars. Childe entered the Academia after near perfecting all his scores in all the tests, before the Headmasters realized that he carried a letter of recommendation from the Tsaritsa, which was then useless by the time he revealed it. One of the few Masters of Hydro, Childe was more fond and known in the arts of combat, Warmonger was a title he was more confident in as he shows prowess in all weaponry he touches. When Childe heard about the existence of a Six Star, his first instinct was to test out the difference between him and the fabled child. But his mastery in combat alone was enough to show he was still ever more superior. Irked yet still curious of a hidden potential, Childe ended up tortur- tutoring you in mastering weapon proficiency. He manages to persuade you in his test spars (still looking for that six star glory) by a promise of an expensive dinner everytime. Damn rich people.
Venti: Anemo Vision. A Five Star, Adept that was personally invited by the Dendro Archon after his retirement from his position as archon of Mondstadt. Despite the idea being absolutely preposterous and against his principles, clearly he had nothing better to do, he was ultimately persuaded after hearing his fellow retired archon resided in the Academia as well. The Master of Winds and Weaver of Tales had become your partner in your Anemo classes, and what better way to teach you about Anemo than flinging you into the sky to 'feel the fresh air' up there? He'd always make sure that you were there everytime he performed for the Academia, and lingers around you whenever you were free just to loiter around before the next class.
Xiangling:
Xiao: Anemo Vision. Five Star, Adept that passed the examination in hopes to follow his master in search for the truth. Master of the Polearm is the title he boasts, and a lot of pupils under him are always devastated upon entering combat with him. Although he's only been there for a year, he has secretly been enjoying the new atmosphere. Xiao had noticed you during the Rite of Prominence when he felt the familiar touch of the Gods, and he had found that whenever you are near, there is a cleansing aura that silences the demonic whispers in his head. Ever since then he'd be found usually in your vicinity yet unapproaching, subtle. When Zhongli officially entrusted him of your safety during your stay in the Academia, he doesn't know whether to scuff or sigh in relief as he was finally introduced.
Xingqiu
Zhongli: Geo Vision. A Five Star Adept that was also invited by the God of Wisdom but was dependently persuaded by Venti. He carries with him 6000 years of knowledge and had since then assisted in collating those sacred years to be immortalized in the Academia's libraries. As the Wielder of Earth he prides himself with his elemental mastery despite the removal of his true power, and yet he is more known of his title as Historian of the Wars. Zhongli was no ordinary student, he carries himself like that of a Headmaster and yet he does not situate himself with matters of either scholar of staff interests. You encountered him during a nightly walk to calm yourself over the burden of your academics and Meister title, and his presence had been the best comfort. Ever since then you'd always find him when you need him, and he always helps you with any troubles, if you count a 500 words dialogue as such.

Dragon Ball headcanons - Part Three, the Godly Edition (1/2)
Well, hello there! Been a while since we touched on headcanons!
I'm still working on the Saiyan pantheon and decided that, well, since I already have publishable matieral for this subject, why not post it first? Why wait to finish a quite intense and lengthy process of creating a whole freaking belief system from nothing, when I have this already written down and ready to post?
So, instead of just doing one post on Deities and Religions in the DBverse that's going to be way too long... I'll post this bit first!
We're talking about belief systems for: Earth, Namek and the Icejins (I'm still thinking of them as Arcosians and I will not be stopped, but for the sake of everyone who does not agree with this HC that is so not canon, I have also referred to them as Icejins. You're welcome).
Tumblr media
Earth
- Kami is the planet's deity. Some call him The Almighty.
- Rituals, rites and adoration vary depending on the place and culture. Some Earthlings, though, aren't really religious and don't think Kami really exists.
- The tribe living in the land of Karin also adore Karin as a lesser deity.
- Poppo is a genie, and he's immortal. Though he can die if killed (Buu, or if the Earth is destroyed... you know).
- The guardian of Earth, "kami" can be granted a longer lifespan if they are human, since they receive a tiny bit of godly ki. However, in the case of Kami, that didn't affect his biology at all. It even seems that he's grown older quicker compared to other Namekians, but that could be because of his separation in two.
- Also, the first "kami" of the Earth didn't ask for their successor to be 100% pure of heart. It is something that got added through the centuries as one of the "kami" was quite strict.
- Yeah, they don't know about the kais, Kaioshin, god of destruction and all the like. Quite a "primitive" world compared to a lot of others who are more in tune with the order of the Universe.
And yeah, that's it for the Earth lol.
Tumblr media
Namek
- They don't really have a religion? It's more like spirituality, animism. They adore the world they live in and its nature.
- They show their devotion to their world by tending the Agisa trees, which were nearly wiped out in the Namekian cataclysm that also nearly destroyed the Nameks (and saw Kami, the nameless Namekian, son of Katas, come to Earth as an egg).
- Namekians see all life as important, and their love for it is made quite easy with the fact that they only need to drink water, and thus, never need to hurt another being.
- They know about all the godly and ungodly people (kais, kaioshin, makaioshin, god of destruction and angel, Zeno-sama... you know... they KNOW). They don't adore them or anything, but they respect them, and they know that they are deities. It's just, not important?
Tumblr media
The Arcosians/Icejins
- They know of the God of destruction, but that's it. They are so not religious, but have a god complex as a race. It's really lucky for them that Beerus never went to their planet, and that the PTO is useful in doing Beerus's job for him so he can nap all he wants. They might have been hakai-ed otherwise lol.
Tumblr media
The ACTUAL hierarchy of the main deities of the DBverse
Yeah, it might seem unnecessary to some, but, I have thoughts. So let's gooooooo with what the kais and other such deities that look after more than one planet/race/whatever do and what their hierarchy is actually like.
Princess Snake: oh you forgot about her? I definitely did NOT. The creator of Snake way, all the Snake ways, though, for all four cardinal kais. She is the lowest in terms of hierarchy, but her role is quite important, as she created the way for worthy souls to travel to the cardinal kais. That's her main role. And sometimes, she puts souls to the test (and eats the tasty ones that don't pass it, scary). And yeah, she has a thing for mammalian male warriors. She and Raditz are an item (oh, you thought I didn't get that tidbit that Raditz was able to flee Hell and live with Princess Snake???? mwahahahha!).
Enma (or Yemma or whatever it is his name is translated as where you live): he is the overseer of the check-out station. His role is vital for Otherworld, as he oversees every. Single. Soul. That gets to Otherworld. He sends them either to Hell, Elysium (that's how I'll call paradise because it looks like the Greek mythical place, so nanana) or one of the cardinal kais. Strength-wise? Well, he's quite strong, but what makes him fearsome? He has the ability to control any mortal soul that comes into his domain. His weakness? He can't control the staff that comes from the demon realm, so if they get corrupted (Janemba!), he can't do anything about it. His jurisdiction is just the check-out station; Hell and Elysium are overseen by Demons, who answer to the kais from their quadrant, Daioukai (if they're on his planet) and makaioshin.
Cardinal kais: They live on planets located just between Hell and Elysium so that, if there is an issue on their side of Otherworld, they are able to sense it and report to Grand Kai. They also keep watch on the quadrant of the Universe they are located in, making sure that things are in balance. If they are not, and there is an issue that needs addressing, they either send one of their champions, or, if it is dire enough, they contact the Kaioshin. When it comes to strength, they are stronger than Frieza individually, but even together, they are not as strong as Perfect Cell. Their energy and aura is different from mortals, as they are born deities. However, it can be somewhat felt still.
Grand Kai: Oversees Otherworld. Their planet is located way over Elysium, but in the same plane of existence than all of Otherworld (easier to oversee it, ey?). Their energy is similar to the cardinal kais, although They are physically and magically stronger.
Makaioshin: Rulers of the Demon Realm, which is a parallel dimension to Otherworld. They oversee Demons, but also Hell when it is needed. They are far stronger than the Grand Kai, and stronger in prowess than the Kaioshin, but they are not so when it comes to magic.
Kaioshin: deities of creation. They care for all of Creation, as in, they oversee all of the Universe they are born in. They have the power to create stars, solar systems and life. They are very strong magically but not so when it comes to fighting prowess (stronger than Cell, but quite weaker than Buu), as their main purpose is not to destroy, but create. Their ki, like all deities, is different from mortals. Their aura feels soothing, even for people who aren't ki sensitive.
Hakaishin: Balance between creation and destruction is needed, so, whereas a Kaioshin is made to create, a Hakaishin is made to destroy. It means they are extremely powerful when it comes to strength and ki manipulation, though, as they are deities, it is not the same kind of power as mortals. Weirdly enough, Hakaishin are not born deities, but mortals, and are chosen by the angel of their Universe to become a Hakaishin. As such, they are trained by the Angel themselves and granted godly ki. Their aura is unsettling.
Kaioshin of Time: for each Universe, there is a Time deity that makes sure that the flow of time if respected, and acts if something is too amiss. They have patrollers at their service that come from parallel timelines. They oversee all of the flow of all of the Universe. Their power is not physical, but magical, and is very vast.
Angels: their role is to guide and teach hakaishins, as well as be their attendants. They obey only to the Daishinkan and Zeno-sama. They are also required to be neutral to mortal matters. They have both the ability to destroy and create. Angels are truly immortal, contrary to the previous deities, and the only way for them to be killed is to be "eradicated" (a power only the Daishinkan and Zeno seem to possess). They live in a plane of existence outside of the Universes. It's also different from the Zeno's palace and in a very different location.
Grand Priest/Daishinkan: Well, he's the father of the angels (all 13 of them, and I'm inferring that it was magical births/creation out of "nothing", because angels are immortal beings and why would they follow silly mortal ways of reproduction?) of the 12 Universes that still exist (+1 destroyed), but he's also the adviser to Zeno-sama. He is also the "public figure" for Zeno-sama, meaning that he's the one that communicates all of Zeno-sama's messages, rules, wants, etc. to lower lifeforms when Zeno themself is not interested in doing so (which is most of the times, because why would they be interested in such paltry matters?). We barely know anything about him (and I haven't thought about him enough either, so sorry, but you won't learn anything new here, probably), but we do know that he is vastly more powerful in both physical prowess and magical power than anyone in the multiverse outside of Zeno. Everyone, be they hakaishin, kaioshin or other angels, show him the utmost respect, as he is vastly superior to any of them, even the strongest.
Zeno-sama: The omni-king, yay! He seems cute, but beneath the adorable appearance and voice, lies inscrutable power. Zeno is beyond power. Zeno is beyond everything, truly. They are the creator of everything, really, and have the power to just erase it if they feel like it. Their view on life is quite simply indifferent. Why would they care, honestly? On the topic of power: Zeno is not a fighter, there's honestly no need when you're the freaking creator of everything and have the ability to just erase a whole universe with just a flick of your wrist. Their power is unfathomable, truly. Not even the deities outside of angels can comprehend Zeno's magnificence. They live in a place they created for themselves with their attendants and amuse themselves however they see fit.
I will not touch on Zeno's attendants or anything more in-depth about any of the deities here. I need to think about them more for that, hahaha!
Important note: when I talk about "strength", "power", "prowess" or "physical strength", I'm also talking about ki. You know, power scaling, all that, haha! Just wanted to put this out there in case it was not clear enough.
Tumblr media
And that's it for now!

Restless Rewatch: The Untamed Episode 21, part one
(Masterpost) (Other Canary Stuff) (Previous Post)
Warning: Spoilers for All 50 Episodes!
Tumblr media
Reunions
All together in The Unclean Realm, The Yunmeng trio find a spot inside where they can sit down and have a proper Yanli-Wuxian reunion, while Jiang Cheng sits across the table watching them.
Tumblr media
For years Jiang Cheng has been rejecting Wei Wuxian's free and easy affection; now Yanli might be the only person Wei Wuxian offers to hug until Wen Yuan comes into his life.
Tumblr media
Jiang Cheng is really going through it. He'll do nearly anything for Yanli--except, uh, stay in the goddamn inn with her when she's sick and the Wens are hunting them--and what makes her happiest is Wei Wuxian. He's brought them together, and so he's happy, even though he's excluded from their dynamic. This absolutely fucking kills me.
Here Jiang Yanli and Wei Wuxian are sweetly pledging to always keep the trio together and put each other first. Neither of them will keep this promise.
Tumblr media
Wei Wuxian will leave first, to take the Wens to the Burial Mounds. Jiang Yanli will leave second, staying in Lanling at Jin Zixuan's request instead of accompanying Jiang Cheng to retrieve Wei Wuxian. Jiang Cheng will be the last to let go.
(more after the cut)
Nie Huaisang comes literally running in, filled with joy at Wei Wuxian's return. When he goes to pat his shoulder Wei Wuxian flinches away.
Tumblr media
I feel like something important is happening in this rapid sequence of glances and expressions between Wei Wuxian and Nie Huaisang. NHS is startled, and WWX realizes he's shown something about himself that he didn't want to show. He glances at Jiang Cheng and back at NHS before laughing and covering his slip with a squeeze of NHS’s hand.
Tumblr media
NHS switches from shocked to cheerful just as quickly, helping with the coverup. It’s like they have a quick mutual agreement, rooted in their history of shared shenanigans, to not point out that something is wrong.
Meanwhile, Lan Wangji is wandering around the grounds, having feelings. At this point it's presumably been at least a couple of weeks since their breakup fight.
Tumblr media
He sees Wei Wuxian sitting contemplating his flute, and as he sees him he goes from sort of neutrally apprehensive to full on angry judging, complete with sword clenching.
Part of this may be that his feelings are hurt over their fight, but the larger issue is his distress over Wei Wuxian's apparent heretical cultivation.  That, at any rate, is what's on his mind when he's selecting music, later in the episode, and when he's selecting flashbacks.
Party Time
Later, the Nies host an excruciating party to celebrate Wei Wuxian's slaughter of Wen Chao return. Jiang Yanli is sharing a table with Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng is sharing a table with his crippling social anxiety.
Tumblr media
Everyone starts grilling Wei Wuxian about his sword, because that's suddenly all anybody cares about even though Jiang Yanli, Nie Huaisang, Meng Yao, and probably plenty of other people don't carry swords most of the time.
Tumblr media
Wei Wuxian says "after the Wens caught me, Wen Zhuliu crushed my core, so I can't use my sword any more, too bad so sad, can we change the subject?" And everyone is very understanding and admires his resiliency. HA HA HA HA HA. Of course he doesn't opt for that simple lie, but instead mopes audibly without saying anything.
Nie Huasiang tries to change the subject by asking how he killed Wen Chao. Apparently "I had a sexy ghost mostly flay him" isn't good party chat, though, so neither Wei Wuxian nor Jiang Cheng opts to tell the story.
Tumblr media
Everyone lapses into awkward silence, all the more noticeable because there are no dancers, musicians, or entertainers of any kind at this event. OP has gone to audit-kickoff meetings that were more fun than cultivator banquets.
Tumblr media
Moment of Clarity
While the awkwardness builds, we hear the sounds of the Song of Clarity. Lan Wangji is skipping the party, which is part of why Wei Wuxian is so mopey. But instead of sitting and stewing in his anger, Lan Wangji has shifted gears, and is starting to work on his "save Wei Wuxian's soul" plan.
This isn't the God-botherer version of soul saving, however. Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian disagree about correct practice, but they both are still practitioners within the same spiritual system, and the majority of their beliefs are closely aligned.

Lan Wangji has powerful magic at his disposal, and now he's taking a step back from his plan of forcing persuading Wei Wuxian to give up heterodoxy, and instead he's preparing to use his magic to offset the consequences of Wei Wuxian's choice.
He still isn't ready to accept that choice, but he's working on it. This is a big moment for Lan Wangji's relationship with Wei Wuxian. Lan Wangji is a deeply, deeply uncompromising person, as well as being super bossy, and he’s taking his first steps toward supporting Wei Wuxian’s free agency.
Tumblr media
Wei Wuxian leaves the party in the middle of Yao's toast, saying "I have to see you and your lover all over my tumblr dashboard but I am NOT going to listen to you talk!" He takes his wine to go roam around near Lan Wangji's quarters to pine and feel conflicted.  Lan Wangji has thoughtfully set up a projection scrim to catch his shadow and make the pining easier.
Tumblr media
Jiang Cheng comes looking for Wei Wuxian, partly to reprimand him for rudeness and partly to see what the hell is wrong with him. Jiang Cheng is trying very hard to be pleasant. He's bad at it, but he's trying.
Tumblr media
Wei Wuxian is trying to be unpleasant and he's pretty good at it. He won't say why he isn't using his sword. He’s obviously super fucking depressed about it, calling his former self childish for liking to spar, and only smiling once during the whole exchange.
He finally tells Jiang Cheng that he will always want to do the opposite of what Jiang Cheng tells him.  Jiang Cheng lets this go with an eyeroll.
Tumblr media
(Point Break Quote Alert)
But actually this is a sign of trouble, right here in River City, with a capital T and that rhymes with P and that stands for abandoning the Jiang Clan. Wei Wuxian has just told Jiang Cheng he has no intention of obeying him; not just about the sword, but in general. That's no way for a disciple to talk.
Tumblr media
OP has nothing to say about this gif. OP watches gif over and over and over and over
Wei Wuxian ends the conversation by tapping Jiang Cheng's chest with his flute and then walking away. The (still nameless) flute has no problem with this - does it, like Subian, recognize Jiang Cheng as an extension of Wei Wuxian?
Tumblr media
The next day, Wei Wuxian is chilling in his room, looking ungodly sexy in his bold slashed robe, holy frack. I mean, he is sex-on-toast at all times, but the cut of his post-burial-mounds combo is particularly heart-stopping when he decides to stick a knee or two out.
Tumblr media
He's meditating and flashing back to being in the burial mounds, where he was also meditating. I admire his ability to fractally meditate about meditating.
Chenqing
He didn't put a sock on the doorknob, so Jiang Yanli comes in and startles him. He brandishes his flute at her before calming down. The flute definitely does not see her as an extension of Wei Wuxian, because when she touches it, it smokes and then knocks her out of the frame so fast it's comical.
Tumblr media
Did they put her in a jerk vest for that shot?
Tumblr media
Wei Wuxian hides the flute from her, freaked out by its behavior. She, however, is unfazed, and gives him the first & only affirmation he's gotten about his new cultivation path, and says the flute is "like Mother's Zidian."  She kind of walks him through the whole "first class spiritual tool" concept, beaming with approval and telling him he must name the flute.
Tumblr media
Jiang Yanli is hardcore Jiang Clan, seriously. Freedom and impossibility. You survived 3 months of mystery trauma and now you're all fucked up? We'll roll with it. You have a demon flute now? Rock on. You're going to use necromancy to beat the other clans in a group hunt? Gold star for you.
He names the flute Chenqing, which @hunxi-guilai translates and explains in depth over here.
Bichen
Lan Wangji has finished practicing the Song of Clarity, and regardless of whether it's had an effect on Wei Wuxian, he himself seems much calmer.
As Wei Wuxian contemplates Chenqing, Lan Wangji contemplates Bichen and remembers Wei Wuxian's assertions about resentful energy way back in Gusu summer school.
Tumblr media
This time when he grips his sword, it's loosely, as if he's made some progress with his anger.
Soup
Tumblr media
Jiang Yanli sits Wei Wuxian down for some soup, and talks to him about what's going on with him, saying he's changed. He insists he's fine and works very hard to be convincing.
Tumblr media
She's not convinced but says she won't press him, and then abruptly shifts tone and works very hard to act like everything is fine. She leaves, taking a lot of soup with her, and Wei Wuxian remarks that it's unfair she is giving so much to Jiang Cheng. But of course, some of it is secretly for Jin Zixuan.
Tumblr media
Everything isn't fine, as Wei Wuxian scream-meditates with resentful energy just rolling off of him. He's got some of the dark energy stored in the Yin sword in his bag of holding, but I get the impression that a lot of it is just stored in his body.
Club Ruohan
At some point in the episode we stop in to check on Wen Ruohan. He and his wind machine are mad that Wen Chao is dead.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, his interpretive dances with the Yin iron now turn his puppets into...Klingons? Sure, why not.
Literal Stand-Up Meeting
Jiang Cheng needs Wei Wuxian at games night a meeting and comes running to Jiang Yanli to find him. He is freaking out and she tells him to chill.
Tumblr media
No matter what fuckery is going on in the world, Jiang Yanli is going to find herself a nice little outdoor table and she is going to sit her ass down and have some tea and civilized lady activity. Queen.
This shot of the meeting is composed so nicely. The blocking (placement of actors) in this scene encapsulates the familial dynamics, and I’ll talk about that as soon as I finish admiring Jiang Cheng’s proportions.
Tumblr media
Here we have four clans represented by four family pairs around the game war table. The Jin cousins, despite their differing personalities, are side by side, matchy-matchy, in lockstep. Jin Zixuan lets Jin Zixun do the talking for him, so maintains his own rep as a reasonable guy.
Tumblr media
The Nie brothers are even closer together, also in matching greys, Nie Huaisang giving all of his attention to his brother/clan leader. You can see his careful watching of his brother's temper...not fearful for himself, but fearful for Mingjue.
Tumblr media
The Lan brothers have a growing distance between them; they are in different colors (which is pretty usual for them), and Lan Wangji is standing well away from his brother and the rest of the group. Partly this is his personality, but it's also symbolic of his growing distance from his brother and other proper cultivators. He's carrying WWX-related secrets, and he's wrestling with what he's learned.
While Nie Huaisang is looking at Mingjue, Lan Xichen is turning around to see what's up with his own volatile sibling.
Tumblr media
Lastly you have Jiang Cheng, alone in the room, with his shidi nowhere to be found, and seriously feeling the heat because of his isolation.
He's alone in his purple, but the color value (lightness/darkness) of his robes exactly matches Xichen's.
Tumblr media
And Xichen, bless him, makes a point of speaking to him respectfully as a fellow clan leader, gives him a path out of the "where is your brother" conversation, and is just generally his kind and helpful self with Jiang Cheng.

POLYNYA please tell me about the sea/your Soul Society sea(s)!!!!! (I also wanna talk about the sizes of things but I will save that for later, haha.)
My entire writing/worldbuilding self is just an agglomerate of about 10 different books/comics I read when I was 19, and one of those is Books of Magic. The major thing I took away from Books of Magic, a thing I think about every single time I read or watch something with a magic system, is the idea that humans have their own magic which is fundamentally different and in some ways more powerful than the magic of magical beings, and that they aren’t bound to a lot of rules and restrictions that magical beings are. A lot of media that features other worlds tends to split into the human world (which has no magic) and the magic world (which has magic). Sometimes the human world has technology and the magic world doesn't, I don't care, that is boring to me and I reject the idea that magic is technology you don’t understand. The thing about Books of Magic, which featured a lot of traffic between the human and the faerie realm, was that humans can do magic that faeries can't. Faerie magic is all illusion and glamour. It cannot affect real change. It is much harder for humans to do real magic, but their magic can actually transform things.
This is foundationally the way I approach worldbuilding in Soul Society. It seems like Soul Society is more powerful and magical than the World of the Living, but that’s only true for a limited set of circumstances, and much of Bleach takes place within those circumstances. Taken in a broader sense, though, Soul Society is not a complete world, it is a projected world, constructed of memories and ideas. Hueco Mundo is the same, but it's even less complete. My husband always gets really irritated by physically impossible moons, like this one:
Tumblr media
but I actually think that's appropriate, because it's not the moon, it's the concept of the moon and this is a very romanticized concept of the moon. You cannot build a rocket in Soul Society or Hueco Mundo and get to the moon. The earth is not round in Soul Society. Its borders are limited.
What is Soul Society even for, anyway? I have been watching Hotel del Luna, a kdrama about a hotel where ghosts can stay for a little while and rest and work out some of their issues before they go to the afterlife. I feel like Soul Society is the next step after this. It is too big a shock to go from being a human to becoming a few motes of reishi, so you get another stage of retaining your human form and living a half-life where you don't need to eat or drink and your family has the idea of being a family without all the actual past-to-future connective tissue of a family. It's my impression that when you die in Soul Society, you don't get reincarnated as yourself. You become reishi, and that reishi gets mixed up with everyone else’s and new souls are created when new human children are born. Soul Society is also a sorting mechanism for separating out powerful sources of spiritual energy (that is, shinigami) and putting them to work as balancers, while letting the less volatile soulstuff flow through the reincarnation cycle without cavitating the impellers, so to speak.
That being said, seas are important. I have lived my entire life on the east coast of North America, never more than a few hours from the Atlantic Ocean. I think about moving inland sometimes and I think I would die. My husband grew up in the mountains and he feels a similar connection to the mountains, you can feel him becoming more powerful every time we drive north. I think it is necessary that Soul Society contain the geographic features that anchor people to the physical world, because ghosts need these things to feel as though they are still people and not vague amorphous spirits.
You need a sea. Also, as noted in the post that inspired this one, people in Soul Society eat a lot of fish and it’s gotta come from somewhere. So I think there is at least one sea in Soul Society (I like to put it in East Rukongai), but this is a sea built on human memories, it is not a sea based on the power of the sea, because that is not a thing that can exist in Soul Society. You can fish in the sea and you can swim in the sea, and an ocean god visiting from another realm might be able to pull a little power from this sea, but it is not a true sea. You need a different magical realm for that, a Sea Society, if you will. The Living World, in contrast, is a true world with true oceans, which draw their power from the Sea Society, just as there is death in the Living World because of its connections to Soul Society and other assorted afterlives. (it has been 2 sentences and I am already sorry I called it Sea Society).
Earlier, I mentioned that the borders of Soul Society are limited, and I think that it is surrounded by impassable no-man’s-lands on all sides that, if you could cross them, would lead you into a different dimension. This is not my original idea, it’s something I have picked up from numerous fanfics, but I think it’s a good one and I am adopting it. I think that, as a border between Soul Society and something else, each of these borderlands represents different kinds of death. I think I’ve figured they are a jungle, a desert, a mountain and, of course, an ocean.
The power of the ocean encompasses both life and death, but this ocean or at least this part of this ocean is only death. It is cold and it is dark and it is full of things with horrible teeth. If you sail a boat into it, you will not come back. I do not think that dimensional borders are, well, two-dimensional, so to speak-- if you could somehow cross this ocean, you might end up in Sea Society, or you might end up in some other death realm, because a lot of afterlives are connected and you get to a lot of them via waterways. The Slavic afterlife, Nav, for example, is ringed with a river, and you cross the Styx to get to Hades. Come to think of it, both of these are sometimes portrayed as being full of unhappy spirits, so maybe the death ocean is an afterlife in and of itself.
This is a little off the topic of oceans, but it is on the topic of natural resources. For all we know, everything that everyone eats in the Seireitei is grown in reishi vats, like the chickienobs in Oryx and Crake. That actually makes more sense, honestly, than fishing and farming, but I have always assumed that many of the upper districts of Rukongai do, in fact, have Nice Things, which turns into jobs and commerce and an improved class of life. The quality and quantity of these resources thins out severely as you go outward. Why don't people in Inuzuri grow their own food, I asked myself? Well: poor soil. Unpredictable, violent weather, so if you can get anything to come up, it either bakes or drowns. A general miasma of low-grade toxins in the air that tend to stunt growth or prevent things from breeding true. Obviously, I think about South Rukongai more than I think of other directions, but I think it’s easy to imagine this process also working as you approached cold rocky mountains with cutting winds and rockslides, or dry, dusty desert where it never rains.
The canon concept of Soul Society is that everything in Rukongai sucks and everything in the Seireitei rules, but this honestly vexes me constantly. It must be ungodly expensive to own and maintain property in the Seireitei, which is why most of the shinigami seem to lead solidly middle class lifestyles and take advantage of on-base living arrangements even though they are allegedly the best of the best. If you're a noble, and especially not Great Family noble, I think it may make sense to maintain a large estate in a pretty part of Rukongai as opposed to a townhouse in the city-- I've mentioned the Kira family estate before, in North Rukongai, which, in my mind, is sort of overgrown and run-down, very Wuthering Heights. Alternatively, if you are super-rich, maybe you have a second property out somewhere nice, hence the Lake District. Did I just make these places up because I want to set a fanfic there someday? Probably yes.
When I was writing Between Tides, the most basic, raw part of that story was just "Rukia and Renji get sent on a lonely mission near the sea" that was the thing I wanted to write. Back when it lived in my head, it originally took place in Soul Society, but I wanted it to have a melancholy, tourist-town-in-the-off-season vibe, and that didn’t feel like a place that would exist in Soul Society, so I moved it to the World of the Living. I guess I feel like if there’s beach tourism at the Soul Society Sea (I should name it but then I would be forced to write a story about it), it would be sort of Old Timey, and I’d don’t know much about what an Old Timey Trip to the Beach would look like in Japan, if that’s even a thing.
Anyway, sorry this was so rambling, this concludes my thoughts about THE SEA in Soul Society. I am happy to hear everyone else’s headcanons, please and thank you.
