Cooler Temperatures are on the Horizon...

As September ends and October approaches, cooler temperatures will be setting in. With the cooler temperatures, if you are trying to sell, this is the time to open the windows and allow the breezes and fresh air to show the openness of your home. With the windows open, remember to remove personal items and bulky furniture and keep things light and airy. As a seller, you want buyers to see them in your home. You want them to see the openness, the freshness, and everything you initially saw in the house when you purchased it.

As for buyers, this is a good time, as the holidays are fast approaching, and sellers will be looking to sell soon so they can relocate/downsize/upsize/etc. before the holidays set in. Let's get ready for a reasonable selling and/or buying month!

Just last week, McDonald’s Singapore brought back the local-inspired Nasi Lemak Burger, along with the new Curry Chicken McNuggets. The Nasi Lemak Burger first appeared on the menu in 2017. This local rendition of nasi lemak into a burger consists of a fried chicken patty marinated in spices slathered in sambal sauce, fried egg, and cucumber sandwiched between burger buns instead of coconut rice.

For dinner, I went out and bought the Nasi Lemak Burger Upsized Feast (S$12.35). The set meal comes with the burger, Smoky BBQ McShaker Fries, Apple Pie and a small gassy drink which I changed to Ice Green Tea (+S$0.10). Instead of coconut rice, you get two toasted buns with a crispy chicken patty, fried egg and refreshing cucumbers slathered with sambal sauce. On first bite, you get that coconut flavour then the spicy kick of the sambal profile. And the cucumber and egg complete this wholesome burger. Sedap!

I got rid of all the beds in the house, along with several other major pieces of furniture, and the cats were DEEPLY OFFENDED.

"MeoW murmaMYEH murmeyam MYURRRRR," remarked Winter, pacing from room to room. She was too agitated even to sniff my dinner. It took several hours for her to nestle into one of my armpits, from which she would not be extracted.

Bennet hid beneath one of the remaining bookshelves for a full five hours after the strangers left with their furniture booty. She was extremely disgruntled to race upstairs and find 2/3 of her favorite haunts had vanished. She found a mattress on the floor of my bedroom, and no matter how firm her headbutts (and Bennet's headbutts are INTENSE), she was unable to burrow underneath it.

Sorry, kitties. You have no idea how much more chaos you are about to experience in just over a week, when we move to a new house.
