any other disabled people feel like they're losing their mind trying to get anyone around them to give a flying fuck about protecting others. i had a blood test today and the nurse had a cold and was sniffing and snuffling all over the place, not wearing a mask, not making any effort to turn away, and i'm sitting there just as fucking immunocompromised as i was four years ago when they were all in PPE and i'm wondering what the fuck's going on tbh

What Is an Endemic Disease? What Does It Mean for COVID-19?
What does endemic mean?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says an endemic is “the constant presence and/or usual prevalence of a disease or infectious agent in a population within a geographic area.”
To put it another way, an endemic disease is consistently present, but it spreads at predictable rates that can be managed by communities.
Old article, but people continue to use the word "endemic" while seemingly not understanding what it means, or rather, taking it to mean that we should shrug our shoulders and do nothing. Neither learn nor apply anything new.
The fact that it took decades for other mitigations to be put in place historically (whether it's clean water, hand-washing, or HIV/AIDS activism and treatments, etc.) seems to be an excuse to take no action in the meantime, and to bully and endanger those who try.
"Managed by communities" above means to actually use the layered mitigations that have been proven to work, with copious data now, against an airborne virus and vascular disease with a ~10-20% chance of debilitating long-term post-effects.

do you paint traditionally? i think your art style would look beautiful in oils. theres some pieces of yours i look at and think: one day i will see this artist in a museum! not that that wouldnt happen with your digital art too.
First of all this is incredibly sweet and made my put my hands on my face. Thank you!
And I do paint traditionally! I haven't for a few months now that I've moved away and I no longer have the time nor the space to (I'm not studying art :P) but I've posted some of my traditional work :]
Here are more that I've never posted, though

how does venting work in among us
because i thought that the impostor were using their shapeshifting abilities to be able to fit into the vents
but then among us added roles and made it so crew members could vent
but also only if they're an engineer
is it like
the engineers are the only ones that know how to crawl?
is there multiple branching pathways in the vents that only someone who repairs the ship know how to navigate?
polus and the fungle make this even more confusing
on polus, it's just holes, i don't see why they only some people can use them
and the fungle, a plant eats you, then a different one spits you out?
how does that work?
are the impostor able to travel through the roots of the plants?
how do the engineers do it?
if the engineers can do it why can't the rest of the crew?
well actually maybe the crew shouldn't jump into giant plants that can eat you whole
but still why is it that the crew can vent but only when they're engineers, which doesn't even make sense for 2/5 maps
none of this makes sense
